Category 5 Hurricane Molly
November 8th, 1981
11:35 AM
Courtroom 10, Ministry of Magic
The Wizarding War that plagued England under the fear of the Death Eaters lasted nearly ten years, while it was hard for adults it was even harder for those who were raising children. The classrooms in Hogwarts were smaller and smaller ever since He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named arose and started killing wizards indiscriminately in the name of blood purity. It was especially hard for Molly Weasley nee Prewitt, who was pregnant multiple times during the ordeal with a pair of twins and a newborn baby back home born back in March when no one was willing to leave their homes. Speaking of whom, they were being watched by Arthur after he injured his foot while he was on the job. Apparently someone jinxed a pair of muggle steel-toed hiking boots to walk on their own and stomp on top of people's feet, so Molly was attending the trial of the century in her husband's stead to see the murderers of her brothers be put away for good…
Or atleast, it should be going that way.
"Do you give us permission to administer veritaserum?" asked Chief Warlock Dumbledore.
"No I do not, I am a Pureblood and am above such indignity." Lucius Malfoy said with a snooty air.
For some asinine reason, they had a law that allowed Purebloods to forgo the truth serum before trials, and all of Voldemort's henchmen were Purebloods who rallied around his genocidal cause.
"Lord Malfoy, did you or did you not murder muggles in the name of Voldemort?" The barrister asked.
Malfoy gave a smug smirk that made Molly's blood boil.
"Of course not, I was placed under the imperius curse by Voldemort. There is no reason someone with the name Malfoy would commit such acts." Malfoy said as he knew he had the court eating out of his hand.
"Hmm… after deliberation we shall deliver a verdict." Dumbledore said.
"ARE YOU BLOODY SERIOUS?!" yelled an enraged Molly.
The audience and Wizengamot gasped as Molly marched up to the bench, yanking the gate off its hinges and suplexing a bailiff trying to stop her as she looked at the Wizengamot. Lucius was not scared in the slightest, nothing this blood traitor cow could say could sway the court after he fed them everything they should be told and forced to acknowledge. Who gives a damn whether it was true?
"Missus Weasley? Might you not interrupt this court trial?" Dumbledore asked.
"Court trial?! This is a mockery of our legal system! Why is this man allowed to deny the usage of Veritaserum?! This isn't apparating in a public intoxication or pickpocketing, this is MURDER!" Molly yelled at the Wizengamot.
Some of them muttered to themselves, Corban Yaxley who was reinstated into the Wizengamot not ten minutes earlier after being cleared of his crimes in spite of witnesses seeing him murder a family with first year muggleborns entering Diagon Alley in broad daylight.
"Blood Traitor Weasley, you have overstepped your boundaries here. As Purebloods we have the right to deny Veritaserum as it can damage our magic that has been maintained through the generations." Yaxley said as he spouted an old wives tale made into law.
Molly glared at Yaxley, she turned her rage to a slow simmer and decided to let the anger out as a force of good rather than blind rage.
"Alright then. So are we going to let the murder of an entire lineage of Purebloods go unnoticed?" Molly asked.
The courtroom muttered amongst themselves, an entire lineage of Purebloods were killed?
"The Bones', the Potters, the Longbottoms, three of our country's most renowned families now are struck down to one member who cannot conceive and an orphan. One of whom has a will that was incredulously sealed by this very Chief Warlock for asinine reasons." Molly said, venting her anger.
Eyes turned to Dumbledore as questions arose, Harry Potter saved them but where was he?...
"And along with them were my family, the Prewitt. My parents were killed in their own home and me and my brothers came to their aid. Albus YOU told us when their defenses fell!... By the time we got there they were killed, and my brothers and I dueled the perpetrators to the death!... They got two of the death eaters but I failed to put down the MONSTER of a man who sits in this chair before you!..." Molly said as she pointed at Lucius Malfoy, panting in anger.
She turned over to him and glared. Her infertile aunt Muriel may have still been alive but because she married into the Weasleys, no one could continue the line… Malfoy now looked scared.
"If we can make someone a blood traitor for liking muggles, surely murdering and ending other Pureblood lines can do the same. If this court of law has ANY modicum of self-respect you WILL douse this man to the girls with veritaserum and ask EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW!" Molly yelled out as she pointed at Malfoy.
The courtroom stayed silent. The death eaters in the Wizengamot looked ready to have the witch put in chains for what she said. But suddenly a wizard rose from the crowd, Molly recognized him as Florian Fortescue.
"This man murdered my nephew. Because of him, no blood of mine can inherit my shoppe. He must face justice!" Florian barked.
A woman then rose up next to him, Molly saw she was Madam Pince of the Hogwarts Library.
"Because of these death eaters Hogwarts enrollment has plummeted. Names were scratched out of the Book of Hogwarts faster than they were being written in." Pince said, telling the damage to the Wizarding populous Malfoy and his ilk caused.
Over the courtroom everyone in the gallery, inspired by Molly stood up and listed their complaints. Demanding the truth irregardless of the blood status of the person who holds it. Soon everyone was standing and demanding justice. Finally a woman rose up, it was Andromeda Black.
"My cousin Sirius may have killed the Potters. But I demand that he be put under trial so that we can punish him justly! Any Pureblood who refuses the serum must be considered a blood traitor!" Andromeda yelled out, inciting a mob.
Molly grinned as an auror grabbed the veritaserum bottle and held Malfoy's mouth open, she didn't know what kind of butterfly effect the ensuing trials would have…

Weasley Manor
The trials of the century followed Malfoy being portioned to the gills. It was found that all Death Eaters had to be willing to earn the dark mark of Voldemort and join his ranks, otherwise he wouldn't trust them. So a mass arrest of 3/5ths of the active Dark Faction was made and for all their crimes against magicalkind, they were killed. Oddly enough, Sirius Black came out unscathed outside of a few days of dementor exposure in Azkaban since it turned out he was framed by Pettigrew. Said rat was found to be crushed to death under those jinxed hiking boots in the guise of Percy's pet rat Scabbers during the trials.
By the ancient laws their families had to pay out royalties to the families they cut down, so centuries of built up wealth was spread all over Britain. The Weasley and Prewitt families had unfortunately garnered enough losses in the war to give the Weasleys 100 million galleons. This shot them up from Britain's poorest blood traitors to one of the richest Pureblood families, as the term blood traitor was redefined as traitors against fellow their fellow wizards irregardless of blood status. So the first thing the Weasleys did with their fortune was buy out Malfoy Manor, after turning over any dark artifacts they found. The heir to the families, Draco, even sold Narcissia to them as a concubine to pay off the fees he had to pay.
So now, richer than the rich, the Weasleys indulged in it for the first time in their lives. They bought muggle antiquities such as cars for Arthur to piece together and pull apart, ironically giving magicals a better understanding of electronics. They dressed up in fancy clothing and bought goods that weren't hand me downs for their children at Hogwarts. Most notably, however, is that they ate a lot more than you would ever think possible. Arthur and Molly were still passionate lovers, although that might be partially due to the potions they've taken to restore parts of their youth and the use of maids for babysitting, and there was rarely a time where the fattened up Molly wasn't pregnant and replenishing the Weasley and Prewitt family lines.
Arthur himself weighed about only 300lbs, in spite of that he was still the lightest Weasley. He had his darkened carrot hair back after a series of potion regimens and kept his glasses. Arthur usually was seen wearing a button down with suspenders akin to a muggle industrialist. Right now, he was testing magical electronics with his daughter-in-law Hermione who married his 6th son Ron.
Molly "Mollywobbles" Weasley weighed about 700lbs, inspite of that number she was not the heaviest Weasley. She lost her crows feet and wrinkles after being alleviated of many of her stresses after becoming filthy stinking rich. Molly usually wore a motherly maternity outfit that hid her sensitive parts, yet could come off at an instant for whenever she'll pounce her husband for another kid. Currently she was pregnant with the 10th Weasley daughter and teaching Harry how to cook his wife Ginny's favorite recipes.
"Now you just place the pie tin in the oven." Molly said in between taking bites out of a pile of pumpkin pasties her son-in-law made earlier.
"Yes Mum." Harry said as he popped the pie in.
After Sirius' trial, Dumbledore was arrested for tampering with the Potter wills. Molly was named Harry's godmother in the situation that they die, which Dumbledore knew about the exact reasons for. Harry had grown up in the Weasley manor for a good portion of his life and eventually married Molly's half a ton daughter after graduating hogwarts. There was no grand war this time, voldemort was quietly taken care of by the Ministry after finding the book in Malfoy's possessions.
"Good lad." Molly said as she ruffled Harry's head.
Suddenly electrical lights turned on above their heads and the two smiled. They heard Hermione and Arthur cheering in the other room as their project finally came to fruition. Hermione was the smartest kid in her and Ron's year and after a few years of cooties fear, Ron manned up and asked her out. Hermione obliged and eventually took the 600 pound coach of the Chudley Cannons as her groom.
Yes with the introduction of magical incandescent indoor lighting, the Weasley fortune will never run dry…
