In Marinette's house...

That night, Marinette woke up to a weird feeling coming over her. She felt a familiar feeling, and she didn't understand why it was happening. She could've sworn that she had a dream about Midoriya. She couldn't remember what it was about, but something about it felt like she had a surge of power for a moment.

She felt like she had a bit of One for All again.

Marinette sat up in her bed, trying to make sense of this. Something about it felt really good, but she didn't understand how this was even happening. One for All went to back Midoriya. She shouldn't even have this quirk at all after leaving Paris. She knew that Midoriya had it back, and even Adrien didn't have any of it. At least, that's what she thought anyway.

She tried to shake it off, remembering that amazing feeling of One for All back then. She couldn't get her hopes up, but something about it did feel pretty good. For a moment however, she could tell that Midoriya might've had a dream or something was going on with One for All. Whatever it was, she could tell that he was not having the best night sleep.

Marinette looked down at Tikki and noticed her Kwami sleeping soundly on her pillow. She couldn't help but smile at her Kwami. She looked so small and cute as she laid there all curled up on her pillow. She didn't want to bother her with this sort of thing, especially with how things are going right now. She looked down to see Ember and Alya sleeping in her bedroom. Ember slept on the loveseat while Alya slept on the floor with a sleeping bag and pillow. No one woke up from Marinette's stirring, which made her feel more relaxed.

Marinette looked around her bedroom to notice that it was still pretty early. She looked at her window from across her bed, worried about Midoriya. Whatever was going on with One for All, she hoped that it was nothing that she needed to worry about. She clenched her blanket, really wishing that she could go over there to help them out.

But she was needed here in Paris. She had to trust Midoriya and Adrien that things over there were okay.

"Izuku... Please be okay..."

In Adrien's dorm room...

Adrien felt something come over him as he felt a surge of power flowing through him. It was very subtle, but it was enough to wake him up. He sat up, wondering what the heck that was. It felt stronger than he expected and thought that maybe he accidentally transformed into Cat Noir. He looked down to see his Miraculous glowing green for a moment.

Before he could react, it stopped glowing. He felt this sense of relief for some reason once he felt that familiar power flowing through him. Once it was gone, something about it felt like he's felt this before. Something about it felt really good, and he could've sworn that it was gone for good. His eyes widened, realizing what this familiar feeling was.

"One for All...?" Adrien said under his breath.

Plagg yawned as they looked at his holder with such annoyance.

"Adrien, I'm trying to sleep here," Plagg said to him, "It's only four in the morning."

It took Adrien a moment to process what was going on. He shook it off and looked down at Plagg for a moment.

"Sorry Plagg," Adrien said to his Kwami, "I just... Something came over my Miraculous. Did you not feel that?"

"The only thing I'm feeling is a headache from the constant stirring in your sleep," Plagg said back, "Seriously kid. You kept talking in your sleep as well."

Adrien's eyes widened, wondering if this meant anything. He looked down at his Miraculous, but nothing happened. If anything, it was as if the glowing had never happened. He couldn't even feel that familiar One for All feeling anymore. It was like it had left him behind. Adrien tried to go back to sleep, but he couldn't. He was already awake and couldn't relax in his bed. Soon enough, he launched out of bed and grabbed his phone.

"Kid, what do you think you're doing? It's too early to get up," Plagg asked him in annoyance.

"Sorry Plagg, but I have to get up," Adrien said as he got ready for school, "I can't just lay down right now. Not when something is going on with One for All. Izuku might need some help with something."

Adrien got dressed before Plagg even knew it. His Kwami gave him a dirty look and soon followed him. Soon enough, Plagg was laying down in his pocket. Adrien grabbed his phone and school bag, ready to leave. Before he could leave his dorm room, he noticed a missing phone call on his phone. His eyes widened when he realized that his mom called him. He even had a voicemail from her.

He was about to call her back, but hesitated for some reason. He wanted to go see Midoriya. Whatever was going on, he knew that it was important. He even wanted to listen to the voicemail right away. It would only take a minute, but he shoved his phone in his schoolbag. Once he exited his dorm room, he soon headed straight for Class 2-A's dormitory.

Whatever was going on with Midoriya, he knew that One for All had something to do with it.

In Class 2-A's dormitory...

Midoriya was already dressed and out of his dorm room. He couldn't lay down any longer since he had a nightmare and couldn't shake it off. He got dressed into some jogging outfit and headed outside. As he headed down to the dormitory, he noticed that Skylar was up as well. He wasn't surprised considering how things went down between them last time. She smiled at him and even seemed to be waiting for him.

"Skylar, what're you doing here?" Midoriya asked her.

"I figured that you'd be jogging this morning," Skylar said to him, "Come on. We should go before it's late."

Midoriya couldn't help but smile at Skylar finally starting to settle down here. He still felt a little put off by her at times, but was glad that she was starting to get settled down pretty well. They both left with water bottles in their hands, ready to go for a run. Midoriya this time around felt a little awkward since he kind of wanted to be alone. He couldn't talk to her about One for All, he barely knew her anyway.

Midoriya tried to shake this feeling off as they both ran together. He ended up running ahead of her, and she tried to pick up the pace. She somehow caught up, which shocked him. Her eyes glistened from the sunrise and smiled back at him.

"Are you trying to outrun me because I'm a lot faster than you think," Skylar said to him.

Midoriya noticed how she wasn't even panting or out of breath. They just started, but she was running as if this was nothing. Even Midoriya was already sweating a little from the sunlight. She wasn't even sweating or having trouble catching up to him. She was naturally strong it seemed, but something about her speed was pretty impressive as well.

"I can't wait to hero train with you later today," Skylar said to him, "You seem pretty strong with your quirk. I can tell that you've gotten some great hero training here in U.A. Maybe you can give me some tips and tricks since our quirks are a bit similar."

Midoriya hesitated to say anything for a moment. He was still thrown off by her coming with him since he felt weird about One for All for a moment.

He kept running and didn't even know what to think of Skylar. She seemed like she had a lot of potential here in U.A. Something about her quirk, strength and speed seemed pretty unique. If she had enough training and knew how to use her quirk well, she could actually be a great hero. He side glanced at her, noticing her bracelet.

The blue crystal looked like it was glinting from the sunlight. Something about it gave him chills, and he didn't know why. He shook it off and looked back at her. She looked really happy to be running alongside him. He felt a little embarrassed that someone like her looked to him for advice and tips. Something about it felt kind of good however since no one has really come to him for hero training before. At least, not someone that he barely knew.

"Sure Skylar," Midoriya said back, "Just don't overdo it with your quirk right away. It's good to be excited, but you don't want to hurt yourself."

"Don't worry about it," Skylar said to him as she waved it off, "I won't overdo it. My quirk can handle it."

Midoriya couldn't help but feel a little suspicious of that comment. Something about it bothered him, even if she was excited to hero train with him. He remembered that nightmare he had awhile ago and tried to shake it off. He remembered that Skylar was there in his dream, and she was strong. Stronger than he expected. Something about her eyes gave him chills as they fought against each other.

When she looked at him, he felt that same chilling feeling go up his back. He instinctively looked away from her and slowed down a little. He stopped for a minute to catch his breath. She too stopped running and went over to him. He took a sip of water, hoping that it would help him snap out of it. He noticed her coming over to him, which made him stiffen up. When he dared to look up at her, she tilted her head in confusion as if she were a puppy.

"Izuku? Is everything alright?" Skylar asked him.

"Y-Yeah... I-I just... I just had a bad dream is all," Midoriya told her, "It kind of kept me up for a bit."

Something about that seemed to bother Skylar. He noticed her look away from him as if she understood fully what that felt like. Her eyes looked distant as if she were thinking about something or someone. Midoriya hoped that this had nothing to do with her father. He then realized how similar her and Adrien were.

"A bad dream...? I know all about those," Skylar said back to him.

Before he could reach out to her for comfort, she shook it off. She smiled at him as if nothing had happened between them just now.

"Come on. We should keep going," Skylar said to him, "We don't want Mr. Aizawa lecturing us for running late."

Skylar ran ahead, which caught Midoriya off guard. He ran and soon caught up to her. They both ran together, and Midoriya felt like she was holding back something. Then he noticed that she wasn't running as fast as she could as they kept going. His eyes widened, realizing that she was holding back again.

Once they were done jogging, they soon ran towards their dormitory. Midoriya and Skylar soon stopped jogging to drink some of their water. Soon Iida came walking out of the dormitory, looking around for Midoriya. He looked like something was bothering him, and Midoriya didn't understand why.

"There you are Midoriya," Iida said to him, "Where were you?"

Midoriya was confused since he should've known that he would be jogging around this time in the morning. Then again, it's not like everyone knew about it all the time.

"Sorry Iida. I was just jogging with Skylar," Midoriya explained to him, "I couldn't sleep."

"Adrien's here. He needs to talk to you right away," Iida told him.

Midoriya tried to stay calm and wondered why he was here so early in the morning. Skylar seemed surprised that he was here so early as well, but didn't seem weirded out by it. He didn't say anything as they headed inside. Once Midoriya spotted Adrien, he looked a little bothered about something. Yaoyorozu, Sato and Todoroki were already up as they talked to Adrien.

Adrien stared at Midoriya for a moment in a way that seemed to give Midoriya chills. He noticed Adrien looking at Skylar and knew that he didn't want to talk to him with her around. He hesitated to say anything, but bit his lip and spoke up.

"A-Adrien, what's going on--"

Before he could do anything, Adrien walked towards him and pulled Midoriya away from Skylar and everyone else. He got dragged out of the dormitory and back outside. The sun was now up, but it was still a little chilly outside. Midoriya didn't know what to think of what Adrien was going through at the moment. Something about him felt different for some reason. When he grabbed him, he felt a subtle energy that felt familiar. Before he could realize what it was, Adrien let go of Midoriya.

"Adrien, what is going on?" Midoriya asked him, "Why did you drag me all the way out here?"

"I can't talk to you about this in your dormitory. Not with Skylar around," Adrien explained to him.

Midoriya's eyes widened, worried about whatever he needed to talk about. He could tell that it was something that was bothering Adrien. Something about his eyes looked distraught, but there was something else. Midoriya couldn't pinpoint what it was, but he knew that it was important.

Adrien looked at his Miraculous, and Midoriya noticed him looking a little nervous about something. He even glanced over at Midoriya's Miraculous around his belt. For a moment, Midoriya knew that this had to do with One for All.

"...Your Miraculous... Has it... activated at all lately?" Adrien asked him.

Midoriya's eyes widened in shock and looked down at it. Nothing happened, it just dangled around his belt as if it were any other keychain. No one would even know that it's a Miraculous.

"No. I haven't seen Dekku since before it got destroyed," Midoriya said to him, "I've been trying to recharge it using One for All, but nothing has happened. It seems like it's taking way longer than it needs to in order to wake up Dekku. Hopefully they'll be okay and show up any day now."

He looked up to see Adrien looking a little shocked. Something about his face looked a little pale as he answered him. Midoriya worried that something happened and didn't understand why this was so important to him. He looked at his Miraculous again and seemed thrown off by his answer. Whatever was bothering him, Midoriya got this chilling feeling as the wind picked up around him.

"Izuku. Are you sure that nothing has happened with One for All? Nothing at all?" Adrien asked him, "Not just your Miraculous, but your own quirk as well."

Midoriya's eyes widened and looked at Adrien's Miraculous. It then clicked in his head and put two and two together as he looked at Adrien and then his Miraculous. He felt chills go up and down his body as Adrien clenched his fist with his Miraculous around his finger. Something about it bothered Midoriya for some reason. He thought about what happened before Ladybug left Japan.

On that day, he could've sworn that he saw something. It looked like green and pink sparks coming off of him. Then it all came back to him as he remembered as the green and pink sparks were absorbed into Ladybug and Cat Noir.

"Adrien... Don't tell me..." Midoriya said as he trailed off.

"Yeah. I think One for All is coming back through my Miraculous."

In U.A. Academy...

During classes, Adrien and Midoriya were quiet for most their respective classes. In Class 2-A, Midoriya could barely focus on taking notes. All he could do was write down things about what was going on between him and Adrien. He even wrote down some things that Marinette told him that was happening in Paris. Everything from what happened when they left to what she told them over the phone. He felt like Skylar was staring at his back as he even wrote a few things about her.

Something about all of this was really bothering him. The events that happened when Ladybug and her teammates left Paris to Skylar showing up, her quirk and abilities to One for All appearing out of no where within Adrien's Miraculous. Adrien told him that he couldn't feel it anymore, that it was making his Miraculous glow. Whatever happened between them, it was temporary. Midoriya knew however that it would come back.

Something about that made him feel so relieved. If One for All was coming back, then his Miraculous was bound to recharge. Dekku would soon show up and finally be back to their normal self. He wrote down whatever he could just to make sure that he wrote down everything that he needed to know about what was going on. He even wrote down a few things about the portal.

Midoriya knew that something was going on with it and that someone might be trying to reach out to it or them specifically. Whatever was going on with Marinette, he hoped that she could handle it with her teammates.

He wrote down a few more notes, and then realized that classes were over. Skylar leaned over his shoulder, making him jump in his seat. He instinctively blocked his notes, making sure no one could see them. Her eyes looked curious as to what he was writing and wouldn't look away.

"Hey Izuku! What're you writing there? If it's notes for a test, I wouldn't mind borrowing them. You seem to know your way around a test," Skylar said to him.

"U-Umm... N-No. I-I was just doodling something for my hero costume, that's all," Midoriya said back as he closed his notebook.

"Really? You can do that? Like, ask the support team to add upgrades to your hero costume if you need to?" Skylar asked him.

"Yeah. Your hero costume should be ready soon though, right?" Midoriya asked her back.

"Yeah, but I didn't really get to choose any of it. My father made those decisions for me," Skylar explained to him, "I wasn't even allowed to pick any accessories to go along with it."

Midoriya noticed her eyes looking a little glossy as if it hurt a lot. He felt bad for her that her father didn't allow her to even pick her own hero costume. Then he looked at her bracelet and wondered if this was part of her hero costume or had to do with her quirk. Something about it stood out to him even more now.

"What about your bracelet? It seems pretty important to you," Midoriya asked her as he pointed at it.

Something about him pointing it out made Skylar pull back a bit. She rubbed it that reminded Midoriya of how Adrien played with his ring. Midoriya didn't know what to make of her behavior, but he knew that it was important to her in some way. He could tell that her father was the one that gave it to her without her even saying anything.

"Yeah..." Skylar said under her breath, "It's the only thing that I brought here from home that doesn't belong to my father..."

Midoriya felt that, especially the way she rubbed it and stared at the bracelet. Something about it seemed like it meant a lot to her. He thought that maybe it was holding back her quirk or containing it for some reason, but maybe he was wrong. It could've just been as simple as a bracelet. He wondered why she was holding back then all this time.

Before he could ask her anything else, he soon found himself being pulled away by Uraraka. They all headed towards the cafeteria, leaving Skylar behind for a moment. Midoriya tried to look over at her, but she was out of view. For a moment, he thought he saw her looking a little upset.

She looked like she wanted to tell him something.

Another amazing chapter!

Finally another chapter! I liked this one. It was a different format this time around. We'll get more Ember and Marinette, but right now things are getting pretty interesting between Adrien and Midoriya. I'm even enjoying Skylar and Midoriya's interactions. I'm excited to get into the hero training soon. I definitely think that it will get interesting soon enough. I like how things are slowly unfolding. I don't want to give anything away, but I really like where it's going so far.

What's going to happen next??

More to come soon!
