Before we begin with this chapter, I thought I shall share with you about Riku and Naminé traveling into the world of Castlevania. I plan on doing a time shift, so they would be coming to the same world, but a different point in time. And I figured Castlevania: Rondo of Blood would make a good start. When I do my Pokémon: Sora and Kairi's Journey: Journey Through the Worlds sequel, I will be using Symphony of the Night, so Sora and Kairi would meet Alucard and arrive five years after the original Castlevania: Rondo of Blood. Also, as a reminder, I also plan on doing actual episodes of Pokémon I hadn't done for my main fic, just to mix it up a bit. Anyway, here is the first adventure.
After departing from the Sinnoh region, Riku, Naminé, Eevee, and Azurill rode in the Gummi Ship and came across the first world on their radar.
"That must be one of those other worlds the Master was telling us about," Naminé said.
"Azurill," Azurill chirped.
"This place would make good a start as any," Riku said.
"Eevee," Eevee said. Riku lands the Gummi Ship just outside of a village. He, Naminé, Eevee, and Azurill looked around when they hear the sound of screaming.
"You hear that?" Naminé asked. One of the house caught on fire. they looked around and saw what caused the fire. They saw some skeletons around the village terrorizing the villagers. Riku summoned his Soul Eater and he struck down the skeletons with them, making them literally fall apart.
"Okay, stop me if I'm pointing out the obvious, but I just brought down a skeleton," Riku said.
"Eevee," Eevee said. Not too long after, Neoshadows appeared as well.
"Heartless too!" Naminé gasped.
"Azurill!" Azurill chirped.
"Well, this just keeps getting better and better," Riku said.
Riku, Naminé, Eevee, and Azurill engaged the Neoshadows as they appeared. They fought their way through the Neoshadows. Soon appeared were some Vampires and some Hook Bats. Riku and Naminé slained the Heartless as they appeeared. Eevee fired Shadow Ball as Azurill fired Bubble Beam, destroying the Heartless.
Meanwhile, a young man is driving a carriage, being pulled by two horses. He wore blue garments, dark gray pants, and black shoes. He carried the Vampire Killer and a short sword, and wore a white bandana. He is pursued by Death.
"Blood of Belmont," Death said, approaching the young man.
"Death. Dracula's loyal servant," the young man said.
"Yes, and I know you are Richter Belmont. I have come to kill you and feast on your soul," Death said. Richter stood up.
"You are welcome to try," Death," Ricther said as he readied the Vampire Killer. Death threw his syche right at Ricther, so he jumped to dodge it. The syche returned to him and threw it again, but this time, Ricther uses the whip to break the whip.
"Now, to test your strength!" Death said, sending out a skull to deal with him, but Richter whipped it to destroy it. "Well done, Ricther Belmont. You are every bit like your ancestors. In the next time we cross paths, you will not survive." Death took his leave of Ricther. His carriage arrived to the village and he readies it to fight off the zombies and skeletons.
Back with Riku, Naminé, Eevee, and Azurill, they spotted a young woman who is running for her life. She has long, blonde hair tied in a ponytail with a bow and a green dress with a green bustier with floral patterns in the chest that reveals slightly more of her shoulders. She is stopped by sword-wielding skeleton. She slowly backed away in fear. She attempts to run again when a figure wearing a purple, hooded cloak approached her. He has pale skin under his hood. His outfit seems to match that of a clergyman.
"How lovely..." The hooded man said. "A fitting girl for Count Dracula. Now, come to me."
"No! I'll never submit to your master. I'd sooner die here!" The young woman stated.
"Ha! So much the better. Besides, once you marry my lord, 'death' will lose all meaning for you," the hooded man said.
"I don't think so!" Riku said as he slashed the skeleton with his Soul Eater and points it right at him. "She won't be going anywhere with you, whoever you are!"
"Vee!" Eevee growled.
"This is of no concern for you, boy," the hooded man said.
"I'm making it my conern," Riku said.
"No, you should run!" The young woman said.
"That's something you should be doing," Naminé said. He looked right at Riku with a slight interest.
"I find you to be interesting. I can sense some darkness within you, but you use it for a different purpose," the hooded man said.
"What's it to you, old man?" Riku asked, holding his Soul Eater tightly. "So what I have darkness within me? If you try anything, I'll make you regret it."
"You have a strong spirit, child, but it won't help you," the hooded man said. Suddenly, Count Dracula appeared behind the hooded man. Riku, Naminé, Eevee, and Azurill were wary of him, but the young woman was fearful.
"Hold a moment, Shaft," Dracula said.
"Yes, my master," Shaft said.
"This young lady shares a connection with the Belmont Clan. Bring her to me alive," Dracula requested. "I have an amusing idea."
"At once, Count," Shaft complied.
"Hold it!" Riku said.
"Away with you!" Shaft said, sending out a green orb and it fires lightning. Naminé casts a reflect spell, protecting them. Shaft then takes the young woman, much to their dismay. Dracula takes his leave as well.
"No!" Naminé gasped.
"What did you do?!" Riku demanded.
"I would have taken you along with her, boy, but I'll let you go with a warning," Shaft said, vanishing.
"Come back here!" Riku shouted.
"Forget it, Riku, he's gone. He isn't coming back," Naminé said. Riku growled. Vampires appeared out of the blue again, so Riku and Naminé struck them down as Eevee fired another Shadow Ball and Azurill fired Water Gun, hitting them.
Ricther deals with several skeletons and zombies as they came his way. He is soon surrounded by Neoshadows.
"What are these?" Ricther asked.
"Heartless! Watch out!" Naminé exclaimed as she slashed at a Neoshadow with her Oathkeeper. Riku slashed his Soul Eater at several others. Richter swings his whip, striking several Heartless as they came. They kept on fighting the Heartless until the last of them were destroyed. Richter approached the couple and Pokémon.
"Very impressive. I have never seen those demons before, and you managed to handle them without a problem. Not bad for a pair of kids," Ricther said.
"You weren't too shabby yourself," Naminé said.
"Azu, Azu," Azirill chirped.
"Thanks. I'm Ricther Belmont, a vampire hunter. What are your names?" Ricther asked.
"I'm Riku, and this is Eevee," Riku introduced.
"I'm Naminé, and this is Azurill," Naminé introduced.
"Azu, Azu," Azurill chirped.
"But why are you here? The village is under attack and it's too dangerous for you," Ricther said.
"We've handled our share of monsters, Ricther, so we can handle ourselves," Riku said.
"Vee," Eevee nodded.
"You said your last name was 'Belmont'. As in the Belmont Clan, right?" Riku asked.
"Yes, why?" Ricther asked.
"It's because there's someone who knows about you," Riku said.
"So, they took a woman who is said to have a connection with you," Naminé added.
"They took someone?" Ricther asked, shocked.
"Yeah. She has blonde hair and she wore a green dress," Naminé said. Ricther knew who she was talking about.
"Annette! No!" Ricther said. She growled. "Who was it?"
"Well, some guy. Shaft if I'm remembering right," Riku said.
"Dracula did this," Ricther said.
Riku and Naminé remembered being told about Dracula when they traveled through different worlds, so they knew they were in one of the worlds they visited.
"Look, when we work together, we can help her," Riku said.
"I don't think so. You should both head home and-" Ricther was cut off by Riku.
"Look, you saw us handling ourselves against those Heartless, so you can't say no to that," Riku said.
"Okay, fair point. I'll let you come with me for now," Ricther said.
"Great," Naminé said.
With that said, Riku, Namimé, Eevee, and Azurill joined the young vampire hunter to rescue Annette from Dracula's forces. Just when they were stopped by a large stone creature.
"Great. They have a stone golem," Ricther deadpanned as he struck it with the Vampire Killer. The stone golem was still standing despite being hit by the whip, so Riku came at it with his Soul Eater as Eevee and Azurill fired Shadow Ball and Bubble Beam. Naminé casts a blizzard spell, hitting it. Some of the golem's joints became frozen, so Ricther finished it by giving it one more strike with the Vampire Killer. The golem crumbles into a pile of rubble.
"There could be more coming," Riku said.
"Vee," Eevee said.
"I agree. Let's keep moving," Ricther said. They fought their way through the village, dealing with the last of the attacking forces when they were approaching Castlevania's gates. But a purple dragon-like creature is flying above them. "A wyvern!"
"You don't think that thing was sent by Dracula himself, do you?" Naminé asked.
"I'm leaning in that direction! We should take it down!" Riku said.
"Right," Ricther agreed.
"Here it comes," Riku said.
With that said, Riku, Naminé, Ricther, Eevee, and Azurill fought the wyvern as it spewed fire and swooped down at them. Riku threw his Soul Eater, hitting the wyvern as Namimé casts a thunder spell, hitting it. Eevee fired Swift as Azurill fired Bubble Beam, hitting it. Ricther threw an axe right at it. Riku unleashes a dark thunder spell, hitting the wyvern. Ricther then takes his whip and he uses it to finish it off. The wyvern then bursts into flames.
"Great fighting, you two," Ricther said.
"You too, Ricther," Naminé said.
"Well, it gets harder inside, doesn't it?" Riku asked.
"It does. Come on, you two. Let's go," Ricther said.
With that said, Riku, Naminé, Ricther, Eevee, and Azurill entered the castle grounds and made their way to the entrance. The draw bridge opened and it allowed them to enter inside. Once inside, they're greeted by bats, zombies, and Heartless, which consists of Shadows, Soldiers, Gargoyles, Vampires, Hook Bats, Search Ghosts, Trick Ghosts, and Wright Knights. Naminé casts a zero gravity spell, making them float upwards as Ricther can throw some knives at the Heartless. As soon as they're stabbed, they dissolve into darkness. Riku took out the bats and zombies that came at them. Just when they were going on ahead, a large, rotting bull-like demon came crashing through the wall.
"Another one," Riku said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Run," Naminé said.
Not needing to be told again, they ran for it as the demon gave chase. When they make it to a room with a wall, Eevee and Azurill got on Riku and Naminé's shoulders before they ran up. Naminé casts a float spell on Ricther, making float upwards. The demon ran into the wall, bursting into an explosion.
"Thanks for the save, Naminé," Ricther said.
"It's no problem, Ricther," Naminé said with a smile. Naminé found it fortunate she was able to learn floating magic. She and Riku then felt something. "You sense that, Riku?"
"I sense it, Naminé. It's very close to us," Riku said.
"Sense what?" Ricther asked.
"I don't know, but it's just beneath us," Namimé said. She looked at Ricther. "We better look into it."
Agreeing with Naminé, they went down the stairs and found themselves at a moat where mermen are jumping out of the water, spewing fire at them. Riku, Naminé, Ricther, Eevee, and Azurill fought through the mermen and came to a locked room.
"It's in there," Riku said.
"We didn't bring a key," Ricther said.
"Not a problem," Naminé said as she aims her Oathkeeper at the keyhole. A beam of light shoots from it and unlocked it. "There."
"What did you just-?" Ricther asked, awestruck.
"My Keyblade can work on any lock," Naminé explained.
"Azurill," Azurill said.
They entered inside and they saw Shaft.
Shaft is holding what looks like a twelve year old girl floating in his dark magic. She has long golden blonde hair. She wore a blue ribbon, a long pink dress, and small brown boots, while wearing a two piece pink outfit with a long blue sash around her waist.
"Such power this girl holds... Such purity... A fine gift she'll be for the Master!" Shaft said to himself.
"I don't think so!" Riku said from behind. Hearing Riku's voice, he saw him, Naminé, Ricther, and the two Pokémon behind him.
"What are you doing to her?" Ricther asked.
"Well, we meet again, boy. But it's much sooner than I anticipated," Shaft said. He then looked at Ricther's whip with so much disdain. "That whip! You're a Belmont!"
"That I am," Ricther said.
"What are you doing to her?" Naminé asked.
"I was going to give her to Lord Dracula as a gift, but it seems I must take my leave. Until we meet again," Shaft said, using his magic to escape.
"Wait!" Ricther said.
"Eevee!" Eevee said.
They get to the girl as the spell fades. Ricther catches her in his arms. She opened them to reveal her green-blue eyes.
"Are you alright?" Ricther asked.
"Who are you, mister?" The girl asked.
"My name's Ricther Belmont. I'm a vampire hunter," Ricther said.
"I'm Riku, and this is Eevee," Riku introduced.
"I'm Naminé, and this is Azurill," Naminé introduced.
"Eevee," Eevee said.
"Azu, Azu," Azurill chirped.
"What's your name?" Riku asked.
"My name is Maria Renard," Maria introduced herself. She gasped when she realized who she was talking to. "Are you the man who Annette told me about?"
"You know about Annette? Where is she?" Ricther asked.
"I don't know. We got separated before we got to this place. That bad man captured me and brought me here," Maria explained.
"Well, he's gone now, Maria," Naminé said.
"I can help you out," Maria said.
"Help with what?" Ricther asked.
"I think she's suggesting she tags along with us," Naminé said.
"She's right. We have to beat the bad man," Maria said.
"No, absolutely not. You should go home to your mom and dad. They're worried about you," Ricther said.
"No, they know I'm safe with you," Maria said. Riku and Naminé gasped at that. Ricther was shocked to hear it.
"What do you mean by that?" Riku asked.
"Vee?" Eevee asked.
"They can see it from Heaven. They were killed," Maria said.
"We're sorry to hear that," Naminé said.
"I didn't know," Ricther said.
"So I'm definitely coming with you!" Maria said.
"No, that's out of the question. It's much too dangerous--" Ricther was cut off.
"Hey, I said it, and I mean it!" Maria exclaimed, summoning a dragon. They all ducked their heads.
"Where did that come from?" Riku asked.
"What was that just now?" Ricther asked.
"Did you do that?" Naminé asked.
"Huh?" Maria asked.
"I guess that's what Shaft meant by it when he said, 'Such power this girl holds...' That totally took me by surprise," Riku said.
"Me too, and I agree with you, Riku," Ricther said.
"Look, Maria, you can come along with us, but try to stay close, kay?" Riku asked.
"Okay. Now I get to come with you," Maria said.
"Okay, fine. Just promise when things get too dangerous, you'll run," Ricther said.
"I promise," Maria said.
Now they had a new party member joining them, so Riku, Naminé, Ricther, Maria, Eevee, and Azurill went back to their task in defeating Dracula. They make it out to another hallway and out in a garden where they heard a howl in the distance.
"That doesn't sound good," Naminé said. And she couldn't be more right as a werewolf jumped over a wall to launch its attack.
"Great. Just when Heartless, zombies, skeletons, a wyvern, and a bull thing wasn't bad enough, we have a werewolf," Riku said, summoning his Soul Eater again. Naminé summoned her Oathkeeper when the werewolf flips forward and threw a fireball at them, but they all dodge it as Maria sends out white doves to fly out at the werewolf and pecked at it. Eevee then fired Shadow Ball at the werewolf as Azurill fired Water Gun. Ricther cracks his whip as Riku and Naminé came at it with their Keyblades. The werewolf then slashes at them, so Riku struck the werewolf with his Soul Eater as Ricther gave it a smack with the Vampire Killer. The werewolf howled in pain as the werewolf reverts back to being human. Riku ran up to the man as he lays on the ground, dying from his injuries. "You okay there? Say something!"
"Thank you," the man said as he died. Riku looked at the man, seeing he was a victim and fought him as a monster.
"I'm sorry. You didn't deserve this," Riku said. Ricther placed his hand on his shoulder. Riku looked at him. "We killed him."
"Yes, we did, but he was a werewolf. He was beyond saving at this point. He was Dracula's slave," Ricther said. Riku understood what the young vampire hunter said, but he couldn't help but wonder if there was a way to save him.
They have taken their first step in a new world, but rather different than what Sora and Kairi told them. What else could be waiting in Castlevania and what could Dracula have planned? Just wait and see when we continue on.
