Omake: Liberator's Lane
(This was a bit of a rush job admittedly)
Liberator's Lane was a holo drama that ran for 5 seasons and 121 episodes over a span of 7 years. While not the first Holo-Drama produced by Slawkenberg's nascent media industry, it is widely recognized as the first mainstream Holo on Slawkenberg. Despite its now hokey reputation, it is still highly regarded.
Liberator's Lane take place in a suburban development outside of Cainopolis, the aforementioned, Liberator's Lane. The Holo is about the lives and struggles of two, later three couples, and their children.
Main Characters:
Amin Mal: A mid-level Tzeentchian bureaucrat who is always scheming to advance his career. Widely known for his catchphrase, "Today _, Tommorow Jafar!"
Gastine Mal: Wife to Amin and member of the USA. Keeps getting into accidents that cover her with red liquid.
Adeline Mal: (Introduced in season 2) Daughter of Amin and Gastine.
Psi-Oppsilon: Member of the bringers of renewed greatness. His inventions seem to constantly explode.
Ayano-Oppsilon: Part of the Handmaidens. She is invested into many charities, but has the unfortunate habit of accidentally phrasing her innocuous activities as innuendo.
Dell-Oppsilon: (Introduced in season 2) Son of Psi and Ayano
Mr. & Mrs. Fairway: (Introduced in season 3) New neighbors who still follow the imperial cult. Very nice.
Selected episode descriptions:
Season 1 episode 14: Gastine and Ayano teem up to try to finally surprise their husbands.
Season 2 episode 3: Introduction of Adeline and Dell. There is considerable debate on Slawkenberg on whether this made the show better or worse.
Season 2 episode 17: Amin tries to market one of Dell's inventions in a bid for promotion. Unfortunately, he has to juggle the fact that it keeps exploding while trying to prepare a dinner for his anniversary with his wife. Widely regarded as the funniest episode in the series.
Season 3 episode 1: Introduction of Mr. & Mrs. Fairway
Season 4 episode 5: Cainday. Adeline enters a student contest for Cainday to show her love and appreciation for the Liberator. Unfortunately, her project gets destroyed before she was able to submit it. Features a touching scene where Cain consoles Adeline. Although it was never confirmed, some speculate that the person who played Cain was actually Ciaphas Cain himself in an uncredited role. Widely regarded as the most beloved episode in the series.
Excerpt from season 3 episode 1: Meet the new neighbors
Dell-Oppsilon: I know you still hold the pain in your heart from before the liberation, but everyone, Mr. and Mrs. Fairway were not a part of that. Didn't the Great Liberator, Cain himself, tell us that we need to tolerate each others creeds.
Amin Mal: *Laughs* Sigh, when did are children become are teachers? I'm sorry for how I treated you both today. Of course, you can join our Nurgle hunt and purge those filthy disgusting heretics in cleansing fire.
Mr. Fairway: I would like that very much, Mr. Mal.
