- About ten minutes later -
- Ahtohallan -
Following a talkative and enjoyable trip of Edith recounting a couple stories of Emory's past from her great grandmother's point of view, mostly pranks the two pulled on people, the group, with Edith still flying alongside them, arrived at the frozen island. Just moments away from landing at the entrance however, Elsa and Anna's eyes went wide at the sight that greeted them, while the other Elsa, gave an embarrassed chuckle at the sight.
"Wow..." stated Anna. "You and Nokk really went at it, huh?"
A number of large, ice spears pierced the icy ground in front of the entrance like a forest of inverted trees. A few spears were even lodged in the outer walls around the entrance. It was an impressive sight, one that Elsa stopped them over in awe, while Edith whistled.
"Impressive."
"Hehe..." chuckled Other Elsa with a blush rising on her cheeks before she gave a wave of her left hand and the spears fluttered away into snow. "Sorry about that. I completely forgot about the mess I made."
"Well at least you didn't destroy the entrance." commented Elsa, before she lowered them down just yards from the entrance and they left their icy transport as Edith landed beside them.
Following Edith retracting her wings though, the sight intrigued the other Elsa as she asked...
"Where'd your wings go?"
"I conceal them in a tattoo on my back."
"Oh, well that's convenient." stated Other Elsa.
"Sure is." replied Edith, before Elsa and Anna headed towards the entrance.
"Well let's get going." stated Elsa, prompting the other Elsa to follow, however, Edith didn't and commented...
"Wait, me and the other you had an agreement."
"Huh?" replied Other Elsa as she turned to Edith, along with the sisters, before the other Elsa's eyes went wide as her face reddens. "Ohhhh! That..." she added, before averting her gaze shyly and fiddling with her fingers, "Right..." she added, which prompted a chuckle from Edith.
"If you've changed you're mind, that's ok."
Before the other Elsa could answer, she heard a sigh from Elsa, who continued on towards the entrance, joined by Anna as she commented...
"We'll be waiting inside."
While Anna looked back with a smile and gave a parting comment...
"Have fun!"
As the sisters reached and walked through the icy hallway, Anna heard Elsa chuckle to herself, which prompted Anna to ask...
"What is it?"
"Heh, think the other me will actually go through with it?" asked Elsa.
"Why not?" asked Anna.
"She's just been fantasizing about sex." answered Elsa. "And she looked really embarrassed and shy about her request and even more when Edith reminded her of it. Plus, she's single and a virgin."
"Ahh, right. Hmm, I dunno then." replied Anna, before she chuckled as well. "I'm sure we'll find out with the look on her face when she joins us."
- Meanwhile -
Watching the sisters leave and enter the glacier, Elsa slowly turned her gaze away and back in front of her, glancing at Edith, before quickly looking away, clearly nervous.
"Um..."
Edith simply smiled at Elsa before commenting...
"If you've changed you're mind, we don't have to do this."
"No, no..." replied Elsa, taking quick glances to meet Edith's gaze, who chuckled.
"You don't need to keep looking away, I'll warn you when I'm going to do it. But I want to hear you say you want me to do this, otherwise, I'm not going to."
"Ok, Ok..." replied Elsa taking a few deep breaths, before with a flick of her left hand, enclosed them in an icy dome, continuing to look away as she fiddled with her fingers in front of her. "I-I've just never done this before, w-with another person. You're just looking at me though... but you're also going to make me, well... does this count as sex?" she added with a nervous smile. "I confronted Anna about something like this and here I am about to do the same thing. I'm not really Queen anymore though, so it should be fine, right? I-I mean, it's not 'fine' fine, I've only known you for a few minutes." she added, continuing on in her flustered state before groaning. "Ugh, I'm rambling... say something, please." she commented, which prompted a chuckle from Edith.
"Heh, as I thought..." stated Edith with a smirk as she lifted her right hand to Elsa's cheek, who flinched at the touch, before Edith gently lifted her head, but Elsa still averted her gaze. "A virgin. You're a real treat to Succubi. The rambling is cute. You still haven't given me a clear yes or no though, do you want me to do this or not?"
"Y-Yes, I do." answered Elsa.
"Good." replied Edith, "... Just so you know, you can say no or stop at anytime and I will, ok?"
"Ok... thanks." answered Elsa, still looking away.
"Now... look into my eyes." requested Edith.
Elsa slowly turned her gaze towards Edith, looking away briefly a couple times, before finally meeting and maintaining Edith's gaze, who smiled at her.
"Good..." commented Edith softly. "Now just relax, I'll do the rest."
- Ahtohallan, Entrance -
Not two minutes into waiting for Edith and the other Elsa, standing in the middle of the small room, Elsa and Anna saw movement from the entrance.
"Well that was quick." commented Anna.
The two saw the other Elsa join them first, who only briefly meets their gaze before averting hers and looking away, her face bright red as she stood to the side of the entrance, not approaching them, while Elsa smirked and leaned towards Anna and whispered.
"I think I know what happened!"
"You can't be sure though." whispered back Anna as Edith soon rejoined them as well, although the other Elsa commented...
"I CAN hear you."
The remark prompted a chuckle from Elsa, who asked...
"Then how was it?"
"That's..." replied Other Elsa, glancing up towards them, before looking away shyly. "... none of your business."
"Oh really?" asked Elsa with a grin. "You were so open with us on the way here, why so reserved now? Was it so good you're too embarrassed to talk about it or did you chicken out and that's why you won't talk about it?"
The other Elsa looked at her with an annoyed frown, before she smirked.
"Yep."
"Yep to what?" asked Elsa.
"One of those things happened." stated the other Elsa.
"Well which one?" asked Elsa.
"That's for me to know and you to wonder." replied the Other Elsa with a smirk. "Maybe I did 'chicken out', or maybe I had a grand old time."
"For two minutes?" questioned Elsa with a smirk, which seemed to catch the other Elsa off guard. "Heh, so you either chickened out or you don't have much stamina."
"T-That..." started the Other Elsa, red-faced. "Edith's a sex demon, she could've made me come so hard one was all I could handle."
"Could've?" questioned Elsa with a smile.
Anna and Edith meanwhile chuckled at the exchange, before Anna commented...
"How about we just asked Edith-"
"I won't discuss what happened between us." commented Edith.
"Because she asked you to?" asked Elsa.
"Maybe, maybe not." replied Edith, before looking to the other Elsa with a smile. "All I'll say on the matter is that she was very cute."
The remark prompted the other Elsa shyly look away, before the group hears Emory speak up...
"Hey, not to be rude, but you all can walk and talk."
"Emory's right." commented Other Elsa. "We should be heading deeper in."
"Hehe, ok, ok." replied Elsa. "Just saw an opportunity for some harmless teasing." she added, before leading the group into and through the second ice hallway, Anna and the other Elsa walking next to each other, with Edith bringing up the rear.
Just moments into the walk, Anna, walking to the other Elsa's left, looks to her and asked...
"Hey, Other Elsa, going back to what we saw coming here, what was your encounter with Nokk like?"
"Annoying." answered the other Elsa with a groan. "He had no interest in coming to an agreement and created a dome of water covering the whole island."
"Whoa, seriously?" asked Anna. "The WHOLE island?"
"Yeah, at least it looked like the whole island." replied the other Elsa. "But the annoying thing came when he'd constantly stop and interrupt me from attacking or getting away with water tendrils that would shoot out of the dome and grab my wrists and ankles. He couldn't hold me down for long though since I'd freeze the tendrils, but it was a real pain to deal with."
"Wow... how did you get away?" asked Anna.
"I managed to freeze the dome and turn my handicap into an advantage raining frozen spikes down, which is what you all saw." answered the other Elsa. "It bought me enough time to retreat out into the ocean and played an intense game of 'tag' where I was 'it' until I reached land, where Nokk stopped chasing me."
"Wow." replied Anna in awe. "So as long as Nokk is near water, he can still fight."
"Yep." answered the other Elsa with a sigh.
- Ahtohallan's Great Hall -
After just a few minutes and past the stairway over the black void, the group arrived at the large, pillared hall, which looked the same as Elsa and Anna remembered, whom now walked side by side, with Anna to Elsa's left.
"Impressive place you got here Emory." commented Edith, as she admired the large room.
"Not that impressive to me." commented Emory. "I'll be glad to leave it behind and never return."
"Well it seems a shame to just abandon it." stated Edith. "It's a nice, secluded spot here."
"Heh, then you can have it once I'm free."
"Oh, well I wouldn't really have any use for such a place."
"Then pass the word around." stated Emory. "One abandoned ice castle inside a mountain on a deserted island in the middle of nowhere."
Edith only chuckled at the reply as the group continued to walk, towards the large, magic door at the end of the hall and Elsa commented...
"Guessing we enter the other room?"
"You can." answered Emory. "You'll need to anyway to get to me."
"Alright." replied Elsa, before Anna, walking to Elsa's left, looked over to Elsa's right to see the other Elsa and asked...
"So, Other Elsa, does this place look like yours?"
"Yep." answered the other Elsa. "Everything's the same. Heh, all our similarities are surface-level though, look a little deeper and there are lots of differences between us; Like you two being a couple, Anna having magic, your parents are alive, the dam still standing. Heh, we're similar, but different at the same time."
"It's fun to compare though." commented Anna with a smile. "When we meet up again, we'll have more time to compare our differences and similarities."
"I'd like that." replied the other Elsa with a smile.
The group soon reached the magical door on the other end of the room and Elsa placed her left hand to it, which seconds later, evaporated in a flurry of snow, revealing the snow-white space behind it, which Elsa, Anna and the other Elsa walked into, with Edith delaying slightly behind as she admired the sight; before the group stopped just a few paces into the room and Elsa turned to her doppelganger with a smile.
"Well, this is were we part ways." stated Elsa, before the group felt a small rumble at their feet, before a portal appeared to Elsa's left and to the other Elsa's right, who smiled at the sight of the portal, which appeared to lead into the pillared hall they had just left.
"Yes, it is." stated the other Elsa, before she looked to Elsa and Anna and reached out her left hand to Elsa. "Thank you for your hospitality."
"You're welcome, me." replied Elsa, taking the other Elsa's hand, who chuckled as they shook hands, before the other Elsa released her hand and reached her hand out to Anna.
Anna though ignored the offered hand and surprised the other Elsa with a hug.
"Don't forget to bring your Anna next time you visit."
"Hehe, I'll make sure to invite her." replied the other Elsa as she returned the hug, before pulling back with a smile, looking to Elsa, Anna and Edith. "Well... heh, since I'm welcome to return, instead of saying good-bye, how about... See-ya later." she added, lifting and waving her left hand.
"See-ya." replied Elsa and Anna in unison and waving farewell in return, Edith also joined in on the act.
However, as the Other Elsa stepped towards the portal, Emory spoke up.
"Wait!"
The other Elsa and Edith, though mostly the other Elsa, were surprised when a snow-figure materialized beside the portal. However, to Elsa and Anna's curiosity, Emory hadn't taking either of their forms; instead, given Emory's previous description, it was Emory herself; The unique 'onion-like' hairstyle a dead give-away, she also had bangs covering her forehead and framing her youthful-looking face, wearing a simple sleeve-less dress.
"What the!?" gasped Other Elsa, before Anna commented...
"So that's what you look like?"
The snow-figure smiled nervously before answering...
"Yep, at least this is what I remember myself looking like." Answered Emory, before the other Elsa commented...
"So you can create yourself a body?"
"Yes, but I can't leave this place." replied Emory. "I'm still stuck here." she added, before Elsa chuckled, prompted Emory to look at her. "What?"
"Your head does look like an onion."
"Hey!" gasped Emory in annoyance, before Edith and the other Elsa sniffled a chuckle, which prompted an annoyed pout from Emory, before Anna walked up to Emory and examined her face.
"Hmm, you said you look like Elsa, but I'm not seeing it."
"Well, my breasts are bigger!" declared Emory, proudly, cupping her breast in her hands, which visually did look a little bigger that Elsa's, which prompted a chuckle from her.
"Why are you so fixated on that? And you could've just given this form of you bigger breasts. The real you could be as flat as a board." she teased.
"I'm not flat!" declared Emory. "And I wouldn't give myself breasts I don't have."
All four share a chuckle, before the other Elsa commented...
"Anyway, why'd you stop me from going through the portal?"
"Oh yeah." replied Emory, turning to face the Other Elsa. "Ignoring the immediate teasing I was subjected to; I wanted to make sure I created a portal to the correct reality; this being only my second time and all; Do you feel a re-connection to you're Ahtohallan?"
"Hmm..." hummed the other Elsa, looking into the portal, before she smiled. "Yeah, it's faint though from this side of the portal, but it's familiar."
"Ok, good." replied Emory, before she reached out her right hand to the Other Elsa. "I'd also like to bid you a farewell. We started on rocky terms, but I'd like to leave on good ones."
"Same here." replied the other Elsa, taking Emory's snowy hand. "... and I'm sorry for invading."
"Apology accepted." replied Emory, before she released the other Elsa's hand, who gave another repeat good-bye wave to the group, before she looked to the portal and stepped through it into her home reality and turned back to face them.
"See you later." commented the other Elsa.
"See ya." replied Elsa and Anna, before Emory asked...
"Everything feeling good? I really don't want to send you to the wrong reality."
The other Elsa, briefly looks around, then looks down to her hands, glowing with her magic, before the surrounding ice of the room she was in, particularly the pillars, briefly glow with her magic.
"Yep." confirmed the other Elsa. "Everything's good here. I'm in the right place."
"Ok then, bye-bye." replied Emory.
"Bye-bye." repeated Elsa, waving good-bye to Emory and Anna also repeated her farewell wave, before the portal closed.
"Well..." stated Anna with a smile. "That happened." she added, before Emory excitedly declared...
"Now onward to my freedom!" Emory's snow body then pointed away from the group to a familiar opening in the distance and Emory walked towards it, with Elsa, Anna and Edith following. "I'll join you with this body and point you in the right direction, but I won't be able to lead you the whole way."
"Why not?" asked Elsa.
"Well as you've experienced, the deeper in you go and the closer you get to me, the colder it becomes." answered Emory. "Any bodies I make in an attempt to try and free myself, freezes solid. I'm unable to get near my body. Even if I could though, there's nothing I could actually do."
"Wow." commented Anna, before Elsa asked...
"Then how do you expect us to get near you?"
"Well, you're not made of snow and ice." answered Emory. "Plus, you have magic to protect you."
"Alright..." replied Elsa with a sigh. "We'll see what we can do."
"Yanno..." stated Edith. "I don't wanna be the mood killer, but, what if the sisters are unable to reach you, any plan then?" she asked, which prompted a pause from Emory as she stopped.
"I only have one other plan." answered Emory lowly, somberly.
With the gloomy tone Emory had, Elsa and Anna recalled the request Emory made in the event she was unable to be freed and they both glanced to each other with concern. Emory then turned around to face the sisters with a stressed smile.
"We're heading to the moment of truth." stated Emory. "If you can't free me, then... promise me you'll end my suffering."
"I-I..." started to reply Elsa, as she repeated the wary look to Anna, they were walking into a decision that they would have to make.
"I see." stated Edith, prompted the others to look to the woman, who gave a small smile and walked up to Emory and placed a hand to her shoulder. "You want freedom, one way or another."
"Yeah." replied Emory.
"Then if it's within my power, I will give you that freedom if the sisters are unable to give you physical freedom."
"Thank you." replied Emory with a smile, while Elsa and Anna lowered their heads, unable to comment on the dark subject of ending Emory's life. Emory looks to Elsa and Anna with a smile and adds... "Don't look so gloomy you two, there's still the possibility that I leave here alive; I prefer that option much more."
"I would too." stated Anna, before Edith commented to her and Elsa.
"This is an unfortunate reality of a long life. It's a double-edged sword; there's good and bad in having near immortality. Some can't handle it, humans in particular are quite susceptible to the burden of a long life. Ended one's own life can be difficult to do; if it's even possible by ones own hand." explained Edith, before looking back to Emory. "So if an Ancient is suffering because of time, I will honor their request for freedom." she added, which prompted a smile from Emory.
"Well..." stated Anna. "We can't relate to living thousands of years at all and the burden that comes with that."
"Right..." added Elsa, looking to Edith. "You've likely watched countless friends or even family pass on throughout your life."
"I have." replied Edith. "I do morn the death of those I care for who do not share my longevity, but I appreciate the brevity of life." she added with a smile. "Those I care for, people and even pets, I will remember them; until the day that I too, meet my end."
"That's wonderful." stated Anna with a smile, which prompted a chuckle from Edith.
"Heh, short of meeting an untimely end, I intend to keep on living." commented Edith, before Emory stated...
"Enough gloomy talk to death and mercy killings; I'm just minutes away from freedom! Let's go!"
Emory then reached towards Elsa's right hand and eagerly pulled her along towards the opening on the other side of the room. Emory's eagerness prompted a chuckle from Anna and Edith, before they followed behind and entered the icy pathway, with Emory leading the way.
After a short trip through the icy path, the group stopped at the familiar ledge to the blackness below and Edith whistled at the sight.
"An impressive place you have here Emory. You're body is at the bottom?"
"Yep, frozen in place since the day I was trapped here." answered Emory, before she hopped up and down like an excited child. "But today is my last day of imprisonment! Ohhh I can't wait!" she declared before looking to the sisters and added, "I hope you two are ready for all the hugs you're going to get from me when I'm free!"
Elsa and Anna chuckled at the remark, before Anna replied...
"I look forward to it."
Elsa then created a wide sheet of ice in front of the ledge and stepped onto it, followed by Anna, Emory, then Edith, before they began to descend.
On their way down, with Emory giddy with excitement, Elsa noticed her breath becoming viable, before she looked to Edith, who appeared just fine.
"Edith, is the cold bothering you?"
"Not really." answered Edith. "I can certainly feel it, but I have ways to mitigate the effects. What about you two?"
"Our magic provides us protection against hot and cold." answered Elsa, before Anna added...
"Natural hot and cold anyway. Apparently magical hot and cold can affect us, like Elsa's breath can be seen now; normally it's not in the cold."
Edith, in response, gave a simple, 'Hmm.'
Not long after, the group reached the bottom and stepped off of the ice sheet.
"It's a lot darker here than last time." commented Anna. "Can't see anything." she added, before Elsa lifted her left hand and created a head-sized glowing snowflake, illuminating the immediate area around them a couple of yards, but still revealed nothing but a glossy, ice floor at their feet.
"So where to?" asked Elsa, looking to Emory
"To our right." answered Emory, pointing to their right. "We just follow the wall that's behind us for a bit and we'll run right into my body; can't miss it!" she added delightfully, before happily skipping off in the specified direction.
The others follow behind Emory, with Elsa, sending their magical light source ahead of Emory a couple yards to see where they were going.
After only about thirty seconds and with the wall to their right coming into view and following along it, all three, except Emory or course, lifted their hands up to rub their arms from the rapidly dropping temperature and Elsa was the first of the three to shiver.
"Ohh, the temperature sure dropped quick."
"Yeah..." added Anna. "That was unexpectedly quick."
"We're getting close." stated Emory, now walking, though the sisters could see parts of Emory's snowy body beginning to freeze, before Anna looked to Edith at her right.
"How are you doing Edith?"
"I'm good." answered Edith, before a small gasp left Anna when she felt an arm suddenly on her chest, causing her to stop and see that Elsa had caused her to stop, before she notice the reason for it; she was about to walk into Emory, who had stopped in front of her.
"Emory, why'd you stop?" asked Anna.
"Well..." stated Emory, before turned around to face the sisters with a nervous smile. "I just remembered something that I should warn you two about before we continue- It's nothing bad, or some kind of prank or anything, just so you know!"
"What is it?" asked Elsa.
"Well, this isn't my first time down here; as I am now." stated Emory, before she looked down to her hands, which were slowly being frozen stiff. "I've made this same trip to my body more times than I can be bothered to count in an attempt to free myself somehow, but every attempt ends the same; this body freezing solid before I can even reach my body."
Elsa and Anna share a curious glance, before Anna asked...
"What are you trying to say?"
"We're close to my body." states Emory, lifting her gaze to the sisters. "But we're also close to my countless failures that still remain."
"Wait..." replied Elsa, wide-eyed. "Are you saying if we keep going, we're going to see frozen bodies littered everywhere?"
"Well, not everywhere; but yes." answered Emory. "A sad, disturbing monument of my many failures. I just wanted to warn you so you're prepared for what you'll be encountering within the next few moments." she added, prompted a sigh from Elsa.
"Ok then." stated Elsa. "Thanks for the warning."
"You can walk ahead of me." stated Emory, as she walked by and behind Elsa, Anna and Edith. "As you can see, this body is starting to succumb to the cold; I'll follow behind."
"Ok." replied Elsa, before she looked ahead and the group resumed their walk, with a bit slower pace.
Just seconds further into their walk however, Edith gave a shuttering moan and commented, rubbing her arms as she shivered.
"Ok, I think this is as far as I'm going. The magical cold here is a bit too strong for me and the intensity is increasing rapidly the closer we get."
"Really?" asked Anna, looking back to Edith, who shivered as if she were stuck out in a blizzard. "You're an ancient."
"Yeah, but we arn't invulnerable." replied Edith, before she began to back away. "I'll just retreat to a more comfortable position. I won't leave you two though, so just call to me if something happens and I'll see what I can do."
"Alright then." replied Anna, before she looked to Elsa while they both rubbed their arms from the cold. "It's definitely getting colder, but our magic seems to be protecting us."
"Yeah." replied Elsa, with a little smile, before she looked back to Emory. "Looks like we are the only ones who could reach you."
"And I'm very happy about that!" stated Emory.
"Well..." stated Anna with a smile, reaching her left hand towards Elsa. "Let's finish what we came here to do."
With only a smile, Elsa takes Anna's hand in her right, before before they continued on.
Just seconds later, thanks to the glowing snowflake floating a couple yards ahead of them, the two stopped and gasped upon seeing the first of what was sure to be many, frozen bodies. Another Emory, facing away from them on her knees and her head down in clear defeat.
"I remember that one." stated Emory, prompting the sisters to look back to Emory standing a few yards back, nearly hidden in the lack of light. "It was my last one, my last futile attempt before I resigned myself to my fate."
Elsa and Anna said nothing, before returning their gaze to the frozen body in front of them. Anna squeezed Elsa's hand, who returned the act, before they proceeded forward just a couple of yards, walking up beside the lone frozen body, before the snowflake illuminate what was ahead, prompting the two to stop and gasp at what they saw and they both spoke the same words.
"Oh my God..."
Presented before the sisters, they saw the disturbing sight of frozen body after body, not littered about, but crowded against and on top of each other, creating a two-story high dome of bodies against the wall that extended out from the wall about five yards.
"Hehe..." chuckled Emory in the darkness. "I created my own tomb; how disturbing is that? But at least you know the area of danger. If you can withstand it, I have a real chance for freedom." she added, before Elsa pushed through the shock and asked...
"How do we reach you? You're completely sealed off."
"It's just ice." answered Emory. "Ice statues... Pull it way from the wall."
"Well..." stated Anna. "She has a point."
"Yeah..." added Elsa, staring at the sight in front of her. "It is just a mass of statues, but still... what it represents is so sad." she continued, before taking a breath and lifted her left hand towards the half dome of frozen bodies.
To Elsa's surprise though, moving the dome wasn't quite as easy as she expected and a number of cracks and pops were heard in the attempt.
"It's really settled in good." stated Elsa. "Like frozen to the floor and wall."
"You can still move it, right?" asked Anna.
"Of course." answered Elsa. "Just wasn't expecting to put much effort in; didn't think it was secured to where it is." she added, before she put a little more effort in, which prompted a number of increased cracks and pops, before the dome of bodies was dislodged from it's resting spot.
However, while freed, the dome wasn't released in one piece, frozen limbs remained stuck to the wall and the floor, giving a rough outline of the area of danger.
With Elsa moving the dome away a couple yards, the two saw what was assumed to be their goal ahead of them, a large human-sized ice crystal attached to the wall, only a few more yards separated them.
"There she is." commented Anna. "Can't see much from were we're at, but that certainly looks like what we came here for."
"Yeah..." replied Elsa. "Now to see if we can actually pass through where Emory failed." she added, before the two heard Edith call to them in the blackness behind them.
"HEY! HOW'S IT GOING OVER THERE!?"
"Just fine!" answered back Anna. "We've reached Emory's body! Just have to get to it!"
"OK!" replied Edith. "STILL HERE BY THE WAY!"
Anna looked back to Elsa, both sharing a smile, before Elsa asked...
"Ready to do this?"
"Yep!" answered Anna with a smile as she squeezed Elsa's hand in hers.
The two then walked up to the threshold where the broken, frozen limbs indicated and Elsa reached out her left hand towards it. The moment that Elsa's hand breached the invisible barrier was obvious; only getting as far as her wrist, before a sizzling sound came from her hand, frosty smoke coming from it before Elsa snatched her hand back with a gasp and shaking her hand as if she had touched something hot, before looking at her hand, which had a bluish hue that faded as she flexed her hand.
"What happen!?" gasped Anna, looking at Elsa's hand. "Did it hurt!?"
"It stings." answered Elsa. "My hand feels a little numb."
"Weird." stated Anna. "With you being ice, figured you'd have more resistance to it. Let me try..." she added, before she lifted her right hand and engulfed it in flames, before reaching her hand past the area of influence.
Anna's attempt was met with a curious reaction, passing the barrier, the flames covering her hand were extinguished, but Anna's hand seemed to be fine.
"Looks like you're fine." stated Elsa.
"Yeah." replied Anna. "My fires going out but I don't seem to be- wait..." added Anna, before wincing. "My hands stiffening up."
The two saw the familiar sight of Anna's hand turning white and Elsa quickly pulled Anna's hand free, which looked to be in the process of freezing, until fire covered Anna's hand again and she was able to flex her hand.
"Wow." stated Anna. "Looks like I have temporary protection, until my hand started to freeze."
"Yeah, weird." stated Elsa. "You had protection from the pain, but started to freeze, so you wouldn't have made it far."
"Yeah... oh hey!" replied Anna, gasping with a smile. "Your hand didn't freeze, you could still move it!"
"But it hurt." stated Elsa.
"Then the solution is obvious, don't you see?" asked Anna, before she lifted their held hands. "We have to work together! I share my protection against the pain, and you share the ability to resist being frozen."
"Heh..." chuckled Elsa with a smile. "Looks like we're both needed to free Emory."
"Yep!" replied Anna delightfully.
The sisters joined hands then began to glow with their respective magic, before shortly after, the blue of Elsa's magic advanced up Anna's arm, just as the red of her's traveled up Elsa's.
It took just moments for Elsa and Anna's magic to envelope the other, fire and ice meeting and mingling as one. Not long after, with their clothing changing with the infusion, showed the process was a success; Elsa's ice dress gaining streaks of red, along with her cape, as well as their source of illumination above them glowing brighter with the addition of flames covering the snowflake; while Anna's dress, not having the most flashy of changes, gained a frosty, pale glow.
Anna giggled at the sight of Elsa and commented...
"I'm still jealous how awesome you look with my magic compared to me."
"Heh, well my dress is all ice." replied Elsa with a smile. "If you somehow figured out how to make clothes out of fire, I'm sure you'd look just as awesome."
"Heh, yeah, until then though..." replied Anna, facing the task before them again.
"Let's see..." commented Elsa, lifting her left hand, engulfing it in an aura of Fire and Ice, before reaching her hand out to the area of influence.
Elsa pre-emptivly winced as she reached her hand through the invisible barrier. Her face relaxed though as she didn't feel any discomfort. Her hand slowly began to turn a pale blue, but Elsa moves and flexes her hand just fine.
"No more pain?" asked Anna.
"Nope, none." answered Elsa, before she pulled her hand away and the pale blue of her hand faded quickly, much quicker than her hand turning blue. "It tingles, but that's all."
"Great!" replied Anna. "So that just means we shouldn't linger; free Emory and get out."
"Maybe we just have to free Emory and the effect stops." suggested Elsa.
"Oh, you're right... actually, I hope it does, what if we free Emory just so she freezes like those statues."
"Yeah, that would suck." stated Elsa, before Anna reached her right hand towards the invisible barrier.
Like Elsa before her, Anna's hand simply turned a pale blue, while she could freely move and flex her hand.
"Ohh, it does tingle." stated Anna, before she pulled her hand away and shaking it. "Kinda itches."
"Heh, tingling and itching is better than stinging and freezing."
"Absolutely." replied Anna with a smile.
"So, ready to do this?" asked Elsa.
"Yep! No lingering, we go in and free Emory and hope the effect ends for Emory's sake."
"Right." stated Elsa, before the two look ahead to their goal and take a breath.
Together, the sisters slowly stepped within the area of influence and both squirmed a little upon entering.
"O-Ohh..." squirmed Anna. "Full-body itching is not pleasant at all."
"Same here, but no lingering." stated Elsa, briefly looking down to her left hand and seeing it starting to turn a pale blue, before looking to Anna and see that her face was also starting to turn.
"Right, right..." replied Anna, before the two walked towards their goal and stopped in front of it, laying their eyes on the real Emory for the first time.
The real Emory definitely looked like the snow replica, but along with Emory's body, her fear was also frozen in the moment; seemingly stuck to the wall, her hands at her sides, Emory's facial expression was one one of fright, frozen in a moment of yelling, eyes wide.
"Well that's disturbing." commented Anna.
Elsa though, didn't reply and lifted her pale blue left hand to touch the ice crystal, prompting Anna to do the same.
To the surprise of both however, it took only the intent and effort to banish the ice crystal and free Emory, for a lengthy vertical crack to form in the ice, then another from the bottom up to meet the main one, then another above where Emory's head was that was enough to break off and Elsa and Anna backed away as the hunk of ice fell forward and broke apart.
"Well..." commented Elsa in awe, "That was surprisingly easy." she added, as more cracks appeared.
"Yeah..." stated Anna. "Just reaching her was the hardest part." she added, before she cooed and squirmed a little. "Ohh, the itching's gone."
"Looks like the barriers gone." commented Elsa, looking down to her left hand, seeing the color of her hand returning to normal, as well as Anna's face when she looked.
Emory's frozen tomb then crumbled away and the now freed woman limply fell forward, prompted Elsa and Anna to gasp as they released their hands to catch Emory and prevent her from falling onto the broken ice below her.
"Hey." stated Elsa, shaking Emory a little, who was limp in their hold. "You awake?"
"Elsa, she's ice cold." commented Anna.
However, before Elsa could respond, both now gasped in fear when the floor quaked violently, threatening to drop them to the floor as deep rumbles and loud crashes and the sound of shattering ice were heard all around.
"What now!?" gasped Elsa.
"Wait!" gasped Anna. "I remember Emory saying something like she had become part of the castle! So... no Emory-"
"No castle." finished Elsa, wide-eyed, before the two heard Edith call to them as she sounded to be running towards them...
"HEY YOU TWO! WHAT HAPPENED!?" called out Edith, before she ran into view and stopped in front of them, seeing the limp Emory in their arms, before Anna answered...
"Freeing Emory is bringing down the entire place!"
"Of course!" gasped Edith. "I should've seen this coming!" she added, before she unveiled her wings and extended her left hand out to her left and created a portal to the outside. "Well we can make a quick escape. Since you two can fly, gimme Emory, I can carry her." she added, reaching her hands out and the sisters quickly handed the unconscious Emory over to Edith.
Immediately after the hand-off, all three gasped in surprise when something quite large fell within yards of them to their right, hitting the half-dome of frozen Emory's and crashing through the floor, prompting countless cracks in the ice floor and reaching where they stood.
Elsa quickly created a fiery ice sheet and quickly hopped onto it and secured her footing.
Ready to pass through the portal with Anna, all three gasped again when another large object landed and punched through the floor just yards behind them, which was all it took for the weakened ice at their feet to give way and they all gasped as they fell.
Edith and Elsa were able to quickly stop their fall, Anna however, quickly discovered one downside of her magic being mixed with Elsa's, her flame-powered flight didn't work as she tumbled into the darkness.
"I CAN'T FLY!" screamed Anna in terror as she futilely attempted to stop her fall with her fire-ice, which failed to provide the necessary thrust.
However, just seconds into the realization that flight was impossible, she thought she saw what looked to be a portal move into her path before she found herself outside, in the day-time sky... still tumbling to the earth.
Fortunately, Anna's frightful fall was soon ended as she saw Elsa fly by her and Anna's fall was ended with an 'Oof!' As she fell into Elsa's arms, although face down and unsteadily, nearly falling from Elsa's hold, before Anna herself quickly turned herself around and hooked her left arm around Elsa's neck, allowing her time to secure her hold on Anna, before she knelt down and placed Anna down on the sheet.
"Whoo, thanks for the save!" stated Anna, before she felt Elsa quickly hug her.
"You scared me to death when you screamed you couldn't fly!" declared Elsa, which prompted Anna to return the embrace.
"I was terrified too. Didn't think mixing our magic would prevent me from flying."
"It was thanks to Edith giving me time to reach you too." stated Elsa, before she pulled away with a smile.
Edith then flew down beside them, still holding the unconscious Emory.
"Well, that's enough excitement for me today." stated Edith with a smile. "How about you two?"
"Same." stated Elsa. "Having my life threatened twice within the span of a week is two too many."
"I agree." added Anna, before the three heard the deep rumbles behind and below them and Elsa, turned them around to the awesome sight of part of the mountain in the middle of the island caving in, sinking down in a massive cloud of snow.
"Well..." commented Elsa. "So much for the castle."
"Yeah..." added Anna, looking on. "Kinda sad really; a place that's been around as long as it has, whatever secrets it still has, just disappearing into the abyss."
"Oh well..." commented Elsa dismissively and shrugging her shoulders, "I wasn't attached to it. We have to deal with Emory, whose unconscious and cold to the touch." she added, looking to the limp woman in Edith's arms, who commented...
"Probably best to move her someplace warmer."
Edith then directed a hand to her right and created another portal to a familiar beach, allowing the sisters to enter first before she followed, transporting them to an area of the mainland that was very similar to where Elsa and Anna were familiar with when they made their initial departure to Ahtohallan a week ago.
Regardless of the area's familiarity, Elsa landed them on the sand, allowing Anna and step off the ice sheet, along with Elsa, before it dispersed in snow and flames as Edith landed beside them to Elsa's left and knelt as she placed Emory down and the sisters knelt beside the unconscious woman.
Anna reached her right hand to Emory's cheek and forehead.
"She's still cold." stated Anna, before she lowered her right ear to Emory's chest and heard a slow heartbeat and smiled. "She's alive!" declared Anna. "But her heartbeat is slow." she added as she lifted her head. "Maybe she just needs to be warmed up..." she suggested, before extending her right hand out to her side and towards the sky and expelling a roar of flame and ice from her hand until only flames remained, prompting her to stop and place both hands over Emory, particularly her chest as her hands and Emory's body began to glow a faint red.
Edith and Elsa waited patiently for Anna to warm Emory's body. After about a minute in, Edith reached to Emory's hand and grabbed it.
"She's getting warmer." commented Edith, before moving her other hand to Emory's cheek.
"Good." replied Anna with a smile, before she felt Elsa place a hand on her shoulder, prompting her to look over to her.
"Are you feeling alright?"
"Yeah, I'm just fine." answered Anna with a smile. "I'm not bringing her back from the dead after all."
Following another minute of warming Emory up, Anna stopped and lowered her ear back to Emory's chest.
"Her heartbeat sounds normal now." commented Anna, before a small gasp left her when they all heard Emory groan a little and squirm a bit, prompting Anna to quickly sit up as they saw Emory come around.
Emory slowly blinked open her eyes, squinting from the light of day before she lifted her left hand up and over her eyes.
"Hi Emory!" greeted Anna delightfully, which prompted a groan from the woman and a simple, raspy.
"Hey..."
Emory though quickly cleared her throat and gave a clearer greeting as she rubbed her eyes, just a few seconds pass before she gasped and pulled her hand away, her squinted gaze looking over Elsa, Anna and Edith, before up to the sky and around the beach they were at.
"You did it?" asked Emory as her eyes began to widen in shock and growing accustomed to the light, allowing the sisters to see Emory had bright, emerald green eyes.
"Yep." answered Elsa with a smile. "The castles no more, but you're free."
"Welcome to the outside world again!" declared Anna happily.
Emory didn't have the opportunity to reply as her bottom lip quivered and tears began to flow from her eyes, which she closes and covered her face with her arm as she let out a wail as she cried.
Elsa and Anna found themselves a little misty-eyed seeing the emotion of the reality coming over Emory.
"T-Thank you!" cried Emory.
"You're welcome." replied Elsa and Anna.
Emory though uncovered her teary face, sat up with a little groan and quickly embraced Anna.
"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" repeated Emory over and over between sniffles as she held onto to Anna tightly.
"Hehe..." chuckled Anna, before she wrapped her arms around Emory. "You're welcome." she added, rubbing her back comfortingly.
Elsa, following wiping a tear from her cheek, reached her left hand out and placed it on the back of Emory's shoulder and rubs as well; which, to Elsa's surprise, prompted Emory to release Anna and throw herself into Elsa and hug her tightly. The speed and eagerness of the act caught Elsa off guard and fell to her back with Emory latched onto her as she cried. Elsa simply chuckled before returning the embrace.
The three let Emory have her time to allow her emotions to flow, until she herself released Elsa and sat up on her knees, wiping the still flowing tears from her face and sniffling. Emory was able to eventually calm down, now able to look at the sisters with a smile, whom smiled back as she wiped her face.
Emory though looked behind her to see Edith and surprised her with a hug.
"O-Oh, me too?" asked Edith, before wrapping her arms about Emory, before Anna chuckled...
"Well, I think I remember Emory saying she was going to hug everyone she sees."
"Yes I am!" replied Emory happily, before she released Edith and turned her attention back to Elsa and Anna, tears still coming, but her emotions were calming down. "Thank you two so, so, so, so, SOOOOOO much for finally freeing me!" she added, before hugging Anna again. "It feels so good to hug someone again and feel their warm body against mine and you're so warm!"
Elsa and Anna both shared a chuckle, before Elsa commented...
"Well I hope you don't make us regret freeing you."
"Oh no, no, no, no!" declared Emory, pulling away from Anna and looking to Elsa. "I'm forever in your debt!" she added, before she hugged Elsa again. "From this day forward, I'll be your bestest friend till the day I die! If you need help with anything in the future, anything at all and it's within my ability, just say the word!"
"That's very generous of you..." stated Elsa with a little chuckle and patting Emory's back. "Just being friends is good enough; no debts."
"Really?" asked Emory, pulling back. "I have experience serving people, I don't mind serving you or Anna at all, I'd be happy to!"
"Really." answered Elsa with a smile. "Just friends is good enough." she added, which prompted a smile from Emory as she re-initiated the hug.
"So..." stated Anna. "How are you feeling Emory?"
"Stiff." answered Emory, pulling back from Elsa, before she, with a small groan, stood, with some audible pops and cracks coming from Emory's joints as Elsa, Anna and Edith also stood with her and Emory lifted her arms and stretched with a groan as more pops and cracks were heard from her body. "Ohhh man... so this is what an old person feels like." commented Emory, before twisting her body left and right, more cracks and pops coming from her back as she worked out the stiffness in her body.
"Hehe, seems to be what an old person sounds like." teases Anna, Emory simply giggles and hugs Anna again. "O-oh, again?"
"Oh to be teased again!" stated Emory, before Anna returned the hug yet again. "You're so warm and feel so good to hug."
At this remark, Elsa asked...
"Are you cold Emory?"
"A little." answered Emory, continued to hug Anna, who then asked...
"I guess being frozen forever didn't give you resistance or immunity to the cold."
"Nope." answered Emory. "Still just a normal, vulnerable human with powers." she added, before gasping and released Anna before stepped back to look at all three and wiping the drying tears from her face. "Since I'm free now, I should properly introduce myself!" She added, before giving a curtsy and a big smile. "Hello, I'm Emory Doul. It's very nice and wonderful to finally meet you face-to-face."
The three chuckled and went along with the 'official' introductions, started with Anna as she reached out her right hand.
"Hello, I'm Anna Arendelle; Princess of Arendelle." greeted Anna, before Emory took her hand and shook it, before Elsa followed, though didn't extend a hand...
"I'm Elsa Arendelle, Queen of Arendelle."
Emory though repeated the curtsy towards Elsa, before Edith finished off the greeting with extending her arms out to receive a hug...
"And I'm Edith."
Emory quickly accepted the silent request and happily embraced Edith.
"So..." started Elsa. "Speaking of magic; can you still do any of the things you could while you were trapped?"
"Well..." stated Emory, releasing Edith. "My specialty is revealing others memories and created windows into other realities- portals to other realities now. So, let's see if I can peek in on the other you."
Emory then turned around, her back to the others and waved her right hand in front of her and seemed to effortlessly create a portal a few yards in the air, that revealed the other Elsa in the familiar white room of Ahtohallan, simply standing there, appearing to be waiting for something.
"Well there she is." stated Emory, before Anna asked...
"Is that a memory or a portal?"
"Neither." answered Emory. "Me being trapped limited my windows to having a delay for some reason, what you're seeing is actually happening right now." she added, before they saw the other Elsa began to walk towards the exit of the room.
"So she's not aware of us right now?" asked Elsa.
"Nope, she shouldn't be." answered Emory.
However, just as Emory spoke, the other Elsa stopped and looked around curiously.
"Hello?" asked the other Elsa. "Emory?"
"Huh..." commented Emory with curiosity. "That's interesting."
"Well..." stated Elsa. "The other me did say she was able to come here through her connection to her Ahtohallan and her Ahtohallan detecting your intrusion."
"Huh..." commented Emory as she looked on to the other Elsa curiously calling out. "So she can detect me, and possibly create a link... like she did before... let's see what she does."
The group waited for a few moments, seeing the other Elsa lower her gaze and lift a hand to her chin in thought for a moment. Shortly after, the other Elsa opened her eyes and seemed to look right at them, which prompted a curious greeting from Anna.
"Hello?"
However, the other Elsa seemed to not notice as she lifted her left hand towards them, magic swirling in her hand, appearing to gather from the air around her and her eyes glowing white, before she fired, which prompted a flinch from Anna as the view went white and Emory giggled at Anna's reaction.
"It's not a portal." stated Emory, before returning her gaze to the whited-out window, which seemed to shimmer briefly. "Hmm, but I'm impressed."
Seconds later, the white of the window faded to reveal the other Elsa again, eyes no longer glowing, who gasped with delight.
"Hey you guys!" greeted the other Elsa with a wave of her left hand. "Looks like you actually freed Emory, congratulations!"
"Hi." greeted back Anna, while Elsa and Edith simply greeted with a wave of the hand, before Emory added...
"Yep, they succeeded and I'm free."
"Well I'm happy for you." stated the other Elsa. "And looks like we'll actually be able to stay in touch."
"Yep." answered Emory. "I have to say though, I'm impressed you could detect me and create a link."
"It's thanks to my own connection with Ahtohallan." answered the other Elsa. "I doubt I'd be able to detect you when I'm not here in this room right now and I'm guessing you being sealed in Ahtohallan is what allowed me to create a portal there."
"Ah, I see." replied Emory. "Well there's not much power left in my Ahtohallan, so I dunno if you'll be able to even create a portal there again." she added, before Elsa spoke up.
"Actually, about that castle..."
Anna then finished...
"It's not there anymore."
"What!?" gasped Emory, looking back to the sisters with surprise. "Wait, you said that when I came to."
"Yeah..." added Anna. "When we freed you, the whole place started coming down. It was thanks to Edith that we escaped."
"Oh! I'm so, so, so sorry!" apologized Emory in shock. "It didn't occur to me that I was what kept it standing! I would've warned you! I swear!"
"It's ok, it's ok." replied Elsa with a little smile. "We made it out alive."
"No, no, no! I can't accept that!" declared Emory. "I HAVE to make this right! I can't have you- both of you, risking your lives for nothing."
"It's not nothing though." replied Elsa. "We freed you."
"But-" continued Emory, before Anna stepped in.
"Come on Elsa, she clearly wants to provide some kind of acknowledgment more than a Thank You or You're Welcome." stated Anna, before she looked to Emory. "You owe us a favor, how about that?"
"Deal!" declared Emory, offering her right hand to Anna, who takes it and shakes her hand, before offering her hand to Elsa, who sighs with a smile and takes Emory's hand.
"Alright." stated Elsa.
"Great." replied Emory. "And I don't want this to be one of those favors you never cash in, I want to repay you for what you've done."
"Heh and I'm guessing just asking you to live your life and not cause trouble for my family and Arendelle doesn't count." stated Elsa.
"Nope, 'cause that's a given!" replied Emory with a smile.
"Well I'm sure we'll think of something to call in the favor." stated Elsa. "For now though, Anna and I have a Kingdom to reassure that everything is fine, so we just have to introduce you to the Northuldra and you get their approval to live with them and we can be on our way."
"Alright." replied Emory, before she turned her attention back to the other Elsa whom watched the little exchange. "Anyway, I was just testing my powers a bit and thought to peek in on you."
"Alright." replied the other Elsa. "I'm just happy we'll be able to stay in touch. I don't want to take up much of your time though with you needing to readjust to the world and the other me and Anna needing to get back to Arendelle."
"Ok." replied Emory, giving a wave of her right hand. "I'll see you later then."
"Later." commented the other Elsa, waving a hand as well, also with Elsa, Anna and Edith giving a farewell wave, before Emory gave a wave of her right hand and the portal dispersed.
To be continued...
BONUS SCENE
Back in the first part, I actually started to extend the Other Elsa vs. Nokk fight, but my intention was just to cut away from the fight and leave the reader wanting to know what happens, but I also wanted to give the reader a little taste of what Other Elsa could do, but the fight started to grow into more than a 'taste' in my opinion, so to keep with my initial desire of wanting the reader to be left in suspense in wanting to know what happened, I scrapped it to the initial cut-off point.
However, I didn't delete what I had already done, so in an effort not to have it go to waste, I figured I could just add on the unfinished extended scene of Other Elsa fighting Nokk in this part since Other Elsa talks about it. It's not long at all and starts right after the point were the scene between Other Elsa and Nokk ends. So, enjoy this 'deleted scene'.
Also, Fun Fact: I initially wanted Elsa and Anna to escape the crumbling Ahtohallan on Elsa's snow sheet, ala Aladdin and the cave of wonders, but with Edith with them, I couldn't justify it when Edith can just make a portal on demand. _
However, Elsa was quickly surprised, when she felt something wrap around her wrists, preventing her arms from moving. Looking down, Elsa saw watery tendrils had bound her. They came from behind and above her, from the dome of water and Elsa quickly realized the dilemma she faced.
"This is gonna be a problem..." muttered Elsa, before she looked ahead to see Nokk speeding towards her.
Although grabbed, Elsa didn't remain bound for long as the tendrils quickly froze, allowing Elsa to pull her hands free. However, only part of the tendrils were frozen, the remaining watery leashes quickly took hold of Elsa's wrists nearly as soon as she was freed. Elsa was preoccupied just long enough for Nokk to reach her and ram into her, forcing a pained gasp from her as she was knocked a few yards away, rolling to a stop on her back.
Elsa could barely recover as she saw Nokk already on her, reared up on his hind legs preparing to stomp her.
With Nokk sending his front legs down however, he only managed to stomp the ice, creating a small crater as Elsa's form shifted to snow, which darted behind him.
However, while Elsa escaped the immediate threat, she still faced the watery threat that surrounded her. Watery tendrils whipped at her, but they passed harmlessly through her cloud form. However, the tendrils were quickly traded for a torrent of water from the dome directly ahead of her. Elsa quickly reappeared from her cloud, hands extended in front of her as she fired a blast of her magic, causing an ice wall to rapidly form at the contact of the water and ice.
"Ok, this dome has to go." muttered Elsa, before she quickly traded simply holding off the water for putting a little more effort in and beginning to freeze it, a number a tree-like layers of ice building up as the freeze traveled the length of the still flowing torrent.
Elsa though soon heard the galloping behind her and quickly looked back to see Nokk charging at her again. Pulling her right hand away and towards Nokk, Elsa again saw her extended wrist grabbed by a tendril, but it didn't stop her from what she intended to do, which was cause Nokk to come to an immediate stop, mid-charge and Elsa smirked.
"Yeah, you aren't the only one who controls water."
"But are you proficient in it?" asked Nokk.
Elsa then saw another tendril come down and rather than further bind her, stabbed into Nokk, who was immediately and seemingly sucked up into the tendril.
"Shit, that's not good." stated Elsa, before directing her attention back to the water she was freezing. Need to see my progress on this though...
Elsa stepped her right foot on the icy ground and rose herself into the air on a column of ice, high above the wall of ice and and saw that she had reached a third of the way to the dome.
"Good, I'm almost there, just need to reach the dome and I can get rid of it." she added, continuing to freeze the water from above with her right and, while she extended her right towards the
