- Four days later, September 20th, Monday -
Anna's Room, 10:27 A.M. -
Sitting on her bed with a hand mirror in one hand, Anna smiled at her reflection, admiring the magical trick she learned from Cassandra. The blue of her eyes was replaced with a glowing red.
In a practical sense, it was useless. There was no real benefit to making her eyes glow. Anna, however, simply liked it. Not all magical tricks needed to be 'useful'. Little to no effort was needed to maintain it as well. So it was a neat little, mundane trick that amused her.
Admiring her eyes came to an end, though, when a knock came from her door, and Anna returned her eyes to their blue color as she stood.
"Coming." announced Anna as she walked to her door, opened it, and received a delightful surprise. "Elly!" gasped Anna happily as she saw her friend, wearing the familiar uniform, greet her with a smile- only a smile, before Anna surprised her with a hug. "It's great to see you back!" added Anna before pulling back. "I thought you were returning tomorrow."
"Heh, nope, it was today." replied Elly.
"Well, dang, I would've greeted you when you first arrived."
"That's not necessary." stated Elly with a chuckle.
"So, how's things been? Oh, come in..." asked Anna before stepping aside, but gasping again and adding, "Oh, would being in my room be weird for you? We can go somewhere else to catch up."
"Hehe, thanks, but it's fine." replied Elly with a smile. "I can confidently say that you don't have to worry about any pervy acts from me towards you. Now if you feel like volunteering anything, I wouldn't be against it, but no more initiating from me."
"Well, that's good to hear." stated Anna, before Elly walked into her room and Anna closed the door. "So, you and Izzy must be happy together."
"Yep, we are!" answered Elly delightfully, before sighing. "I really needed that break. I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but I needed to be away from you. Given time to re-examine what I wanted and needed, without my misguided desires tempting and distracting me."
"It's the whole reason for the break." stated Anna. "So no, I'm not taking that as anything other than good. I'm glad it worked out."
"Me too."
"So, anything new with you and Izzy? Oh! If you're OK volunteering that, of course! Heh, not really fair for me to pry when I got annoyed at you doing the same." replied Anna, chuckling nervously that she may have overstepped.
"I'm fine with it." replied Elly. "Besides, you're one of the few that I could really talk to about Izzy and me, and I WANT to! But, besides me not thinking of you when I'm with her, nothing major has happened. Heh, we're not engaged or anything."
"That would be a shock if you were."
"You and Elsa have certainly done a lot during my break, though. I'm sure you have quite a story to tell." commented Elly, prompting a big smile on Anna's face.
"That's right! I can tell you all that's happened! Do you have time?"
"Yep."
"Then let's sit; there's a lot to tell!" replied Anna as she walked to and sat on her bed, with Elly joining her to her right. "You already know about our parents, so..."
"Actually, I have a question about your parents return." stated Elly.
"Oh, ok."
"Were they really stranded on an island this whole time?"
"Uh, yeah. That's what our father said." answered Anna, very curious as to why Elly seemed to doubt the answer.
"Hmm, ok. It just doesn't sit right with me, though- no offense. But for three years, and they didn't try to return in all that time? Is there something more to it?" added Elly, seeing Anna hesitate as she averted her gaze, finding it hard to answer such a direct question with a lie to her friend's face. "There is, isn't it? I promise, I won't tell!"
Looking into Elly's expectant, smiling gaze, Anna remembered agreeing with Elsa to keep her revival ability a secret, but the only people who knew of it were Silvia, Edith, Juleka, and Vivian; one more couldn't hurt, and it was someone she trusted.
"Ok, but you can't tell ANYONE!" replied Anna.
"My lips are sealed!" commented Elly with a smile.
"Not even Izzy. I'm only telling you."
"Got it. I'll take it to my grave."
"Ok." replied Anna with a sigh, before leaning towards Elly's ear and whispering, "We found their frozen corpses, and after Elsa unfroze them, I revived them."
With the reveal, Elly pulled back with a wide-eyed gasp, with both hands briefly over her mouth.
"Whoa!" whispered Elly as she lowered her hands, leaned close to Anna, and added, "You can revive people!?"
"Yep." whispered back Anna, smiling that she could talk about this. "And not just people. Do you remember when I was carried to Elsa's room, unconscious? It was because I revived a bird. It was my first revival."
"Whoa! Then it must really drain you."
"Yeah, if I don't eat beforehand, I'll still pass out. Apparently, though, I, myself won't die reviving someone; I'd just pass out. Regardless, though, I'd be out of commission afterwards, so it's not like I could do it repeatedly or in a place that's not safe."
"But still... that's amazing!" replied Elly. "You can bring the dead back to life! How far does it go? Can you bring someone whose just a skeleton back to life!?"
"Uh, I don't know about that. Every-time I've done it, the person has been whole. Except for one, but I just healed their injury and then revived them."
"Wait, so you've done it more than twice- or wait, three times?"
"Yeah." answered Anna with a smile. "The second was a fairy; they were impaled, so I healed the hole and revived them. The third and fourth were our parents, and the fifth was our grandmother."
"Wow... just wow. I can understand why you lied about what happened with your parents, the truth would cause a LOT of commotion, not all of it positive, I'd assume."
"Yeah, Elsa was worried about that too, and it makes sense." replied Anna. "You're the first person I've deliberately told this to, though, and it feels nice to actually tell someone, and I can talk to you about it."
"Well, I'm glad you trust me enough to tell me, and I promise, again, I'll keep this secret." replied Elly.
"Thanks."
"Just so I know, I'm guessing you wouldn't want me asking you to revive someone, right?" asked Elly, prompting a sigh from Anna.
"That's tough. If someone's hurt, I'd want to help them, but if I start reviving people in town, it would defeat the whole purpose of keeping it a secret, and then it would become a whole thing. On one hand, I'd likely be called a witch, the bad kind; on the other hand, I'd probably be flooded with requests, and I'd exhaust myself trying to fulfill them."
"Yeah, that's a tough spot to be in." replied Elly. "I won't make any requests for that, I promise."
"Thanks. So, moving on... we met the source of our magic, Emory. The mother of the four elemental spirits in the Enchanted Forest."
"Wow, the source, huh? What's she like? Is she human?" asked Elly.
"Heh, yeah, she's human, and she's really nice and a fan of hugs. Although she looks our age, she's actually really, really, REALLY old, because of a prank she pulled on the wrong person who trapped and abandoned her in a magic castle, which Elsa and I later rescued her from."
"Wow, I'd love to meet her!" replied Elly. "She must be SUPER powerful to create the spirits if that horse is anything to go on."
"Hehe, well, as Emory said once, she's no fighter, but she does have some impressive magical abilities, like looking through and restoring memories, which on its own is amazing, but her other ability is just incredible! She can open portals to other realities!"
"Other realities? What do you mean?"
"Like seeing and meeting another you!" answered Anna.
"Seriously!?" gasped Elly. "She can do that!?"
"Yeah! She's shown us different versions of me and Elsa, and we've even met and talked to another version of us that we've decided to stay in touch with."
"Whoa! That's incredible! I'd love to meet another me! How different or the same would they be to me?"
"Well, the other Elsa and Anna we're friends with are pretty similar to me and Elsa, but Emory showed us really different versions of ourselves. Like two different realities where Elsa was a vampire in one and I was a vampire in the other."
"Vampires!? Really!? What were they like!? Were you bad guys and hunted humans?"
"Hehe, no, they weren't bad or evil. But you could say they hunted a specific human in particular- their own Elsa and Anna."
"Ohhh." cooed Elly delightfully. "So you two were together even in another reality?" asked Elly.
"Yep. The vampire Me liked to cuddle her Elsa and even playfully bites her neck, which she didn't like." stated Anna, prompting a chuckle from Elly. "She was basically annoying her Elsa, who was busy making chocolate snacks, oh, and her Elsa was a faithful, church-going girl."
"Cute."
"Yeah, it was." replied Anna. "In the other reality, with Vampire Elsa, we saw her saving her Anna from being attacked in a dark alley heading home from church."
"Whoa, really?"
"Yep. Vampire Elsa was really intimidating-looking and was about to kill the person who attacked her Anna, but Anna convinced her not to, so she just threatened him not to attack her again, and after she let him go, Vampire Elsa's mood immediately did a one-eighty, showing concern for her Anna, asking if she was ok, and touching her face."
"Hehe, cute."
"Hehe, it was... oh, by the way! Elsa and I learned two really awesome tricks! One of them is that we can fly!"
"No way! Seriously!?" gasped Elly. "Like a bird? High in the air?"
"Yep! We do it differently, though. Elsa can make a little platform she steps onto and rides it. She can also make it big enough to move groups of people. I'm unfortunately solo, though; I shoot fire from my hands and feet."
"I'd really like to see that!"
"I can't do it inside."
"Oh, right, the fire." replied Elly, before Anna smiled and added...
"Hang on; with my other trick, it won't be a problem. I can make portals."
"Really? Like what Silvia can do!?" asked Elly.
"Yep! So we could go to the garden and I can show off my flying, then we can return with a portal."
"We can't go to the garden with your portal?" asked Elly.
"We can, but not from here. I can safely do it from the dungeon, though."
"Ok, let's go to the dungeon."
"Alright." replied Anna as she, along with Elly, stood. "I just gotta change out of my pajama's- oh, since I'm gonna be flying, I could wear my glass clothing."
"Let me guess..." commented Elly with a smile. "You risk burning your regular clothes when you fly, huh?"
"Yep. As awesome as my magic is, it has some annoying inconveniences."
"Heh, well, I'll wait outside." replied Elly as she walked to and out of the door, and upon closing it, released a happy sigh and thought, 'Good. I thought returning would stir up those feelings again, but I was nervous for nothing. I can be a proper friend, not one constantly testing her boundaries.'
After a few minutes of waiting, and Elly standing against the wall to the left of the door, it opens to reveal Anna walking out, to Elly's mild surprise at what she now wears, aside from the smooth gleam of the glass. It looked to be a dress, but instead of a shirt, it was pants.
"Oh, that's an interesting choice." commented Elly.
"Heh, like it?" asked Anna with a smile, giving a spin and placing her hands on her hips. "Since I'll be flying, I can't have you looking up my skirt." she added, prompting a chuckle from Elly. "But I also didn't want to go with a two-piece shirt and pants. It's easier to maintain as one single thing, so the idea hit me: Instead of a skirt, just make it pants!"
"Hehe, so, a dress with pants." commented Elly. "Smart."
"Yeah..." replied Anna as she looked over herself proudly. "This could be my go-to glass outfit."
"Heh, just like Elsa has her usual ice outfit."
"Yep! Well, let's head to the dungeon."
"Alright." replied Elly as the pair headed off. Just a minute into the walk, though, Elly looked down towards Anna's feet and saw that she looked to be wearing glass slippers.
"What is it?" asked Anna, drawing Elly's gaze.
"A thought just occurred to me." replied Elly. "How comfortable are your feet in those glass slippers?"
"Oh, uh, just fine. Why?"
"How do you walk without the glass breaking when you flex your feet?"
"Oh! I see what you mean." gasped Anna with a smile. "Like the glass I'm wearing, my shoes are soft and flexible, so the glass bends with my feet with each step." she added, before moving near the wall and leaning against it as she lifted her right foot in front of her and flexed her toes, showing that the glass moves easily.
"Heh, they're more like socks or ballerina slippers than shoes." commented Elly, prompting a chuckle from Anna.
"Yeah, I guess so."
- Dungeon -
"Alright, just step back a yard or two until I create the portal." stated Anna, "The process makes a lot of heat."
"OK." answered Elly as the two stood in the hallway of the dungeon and Elly took a few large steps back from Anna, waiting just a few moments in awe as Anna created the portal. "Oh wow!" gasped Elly as she returned to Anna's side, seeing the garden on the other side of the portal. "That's amazing, and you did it so quickly."
"Yep, I'm getting pretty good at this." answered Anna proudly. "The edges used to be sparking a lot, now, not so much. I might not be restricted to making portals in the dungeon much longer. It's still pretty draining though, so I don't wanna keep it open longer than I need to." she added, before stepping through and offering her hand to Elly. "Just watch your step. Don't want you losing a foot."
"Heh, yeah, I'd like to keep my feet." replied Elly, before taking Anna's hand and carefully stepping into the portal and looking around in awe at the sudden change in location. "Wow... one step and I'm in the middle of the garden from the dungeon. This is amazing." she added, before looking back to the portal to see the dungeon they departed, Anna stepped beside her and extended a hand towards the portal, causing it to shrink and disappear.
"Yep, it's super useful being able to travel long distances in seconds." commented Anna. "As long as I've been there once, I can make a portal to it."
"I don't think a word exists for how convenient that is."
"Heh, well, now that I have the space, time to show off my flying." replied Anna, before she walked towards the pond. Seeing that the pond was clear of the ducks, Anna leaps towards the water, but doesn't land in it as to Elly's awe, seeing fire shooting from her hands and feet, hovers a few feet from the water.
"Whoa!" gasped Elly as she hurried towards the edge of the pond. "You're really flying!"
"Yep!" replied Anna happily as she flew around the garden a bit.
"How high can you fly?" asked Elly.
"I haven't tested that, but pretty high." answered Anna, hovering a couple yards above Elly. "A lot higher than I am now, but I don't to be above the walls, risking other people seeing me."
"Wow... just, wow." commented Elly. "I wish I could join you."
"Yeah..." replied Anna, lowering herself to the ground and walking up to Elly. "I'd like that too, Elsa's lucky. She could take you for a ride."
"Hmm, you said Elsa rides her ice, right?" asked Elly.
"Yeah, she basically makes a plank of ice, and stands on it, and can make a bigger sheet that a group of people can sit on."
"Can't you do that too, with your glass?" asked Elly.
"Huh, how?"
"Well, can't you make your glass hover and move in the air just like Elsa can with her ice?"
"I..." started and answered Anna, before she stopped with a realization. "I can! Wait a minute, how have I not thought of this!?"
"Heh, two heads are better than one." commented Elly, before Anna reached down and pulled off her right shoe.
"Hold on..." commented Anna, before she heated the slipper just enough for her to lift it into the air and her eyes went wide. "Oh, my, God! Thanks for making me realize this, Elly!" stated Anna.
"Heh, no problem. Seemed kinda obvious to me." replied Elly, before Anna looked down to her pants and commented...
"Hmm, I dunno if I have enough glass on me to spare..."
After a few moments of thought, and looking at her floating glass slipper, an idea popped into Anna's mind with a delighted smile.
"Oh! What if, instead of flying, I can sorta... walk on the air?"
"I'm not following." replied Elly.
"Ok, I can move around the glass I create. That also means I can specifically position my glass in a particular spot... It'll be easier to test it out to show what I mean." replied Anna, before placing her slipper on again.
Anna then lifted her right foot about a foot in the air.
"Now if I focus, I should be able to..." commented Anna, before seemingly stepping up onto an invisible step, her left foot leaving the ground as well. "Ha! It works!"
"Whoa!" gasped Elly, before Anna also gasped as her right foot fell back to the ground as she stumbled forward and into Elly, who caught her.
"Sorry about that. Just lost focus from the excitement." commented Anna, as she stood upright.
"Well, you would've just fell onto the soft grass."
"True, but it actually worked! I'm gonna try again." replied Anna, before moving back about a yard and facing Elly, and again, lifting her right foot onto an invisible step, lifting herself from the ground. "Ok, now the other foot..." commented Anna, before placing her left foot level with her right, and felt herself properly standing, balanced. "Hehe, this is so weird, but awesome."
"Now, how about walking?" asked Elly.
"Yeah, that might be tricky." commented Anna, before slowly taking a step forward and her foot securely stepping on the air, before her left foot followed. "Or not..." commented Anna, following with another step.
"Yeah, now try a more normal stride instead of the slow, stilted one your doing." suggested Elly as Anna reached and walked by her.
"Heh, yeah, I'm going slow and focusing." commented Anna. "I gotta get used to this." she added, as she began to circle Elly, maintaining the slow, focused steps.
Anna circled Elly twice before her stride began to relax into a more natural one, and still remained above the ground.
"Looks like you're getting the hang of it." commented Elly with a smirk.
"Yeah. Doesn't really give me the freedom of flight, but I could reach a high place without needing to shoot fire everywhere."
After about two more circles around Elly, and Anna getting comfortable enough to place her hands behind her, Elly brought a gasp from her when she poked Anna in the side, prompting her to stagger away from her, with a chuckle, but still remained above the ground.
"Hey!"
"You're still above the ground." commented Elly.
"Oh, you're right." replied Anna, looking down to her feet, before gasping again when Elly stepped towards her and poked her in the side again, then again and again, until Anna began to move away from Elly as she giggled and Elly chased after her. Until Anna began to run however, making two strides before Anna lost focus and seemed to miss a step and fall face-first to the ground.
"Oh, sorry!" gasped Elly, quickly kneeling beside Anna.
"It's ok." replied Anna, sitting up, "I'm not hurt. Running's gonna take some practice." she added, before standing. "I really wanna try Elsa's method with my glass though, but I don't wanna portal back to the dungeon, go to my room then head to the dungeon again and make another portal. Besides, I'm supposed to be hanging out with you, and telling you what you've missed, not practicing my magic."
"I don't mind." replied Elly with a smile. "Seeing you doing magic stuff is entertaining."
"Heh, well, maybe towards the end of getting you caught up, I can practice Elsa's method of flying. Oh, speaking of flying, a couple days ago, Elsa and I visited Juleka's home. She and the other fairies shrunk us to their size."
"Really!?" gasped Elly. "You two were fairy-sized? What was it like?"
"Really interesting! Everything's so big from a fairy's perspective. I brought them two apples as a gift for welcoming us to their home and the apples were nearly as big as we were."
"Wow... what was the visit like? Anything really strange or different?" asked Elly, prompting an embarrassed chuckle from Anna.
"Well, public nudity is normal for them." replied Anna. "So, we got an eyeful."
"Ohhh, hehe. Yeah, that must've been really weird and uncomfortable for you."
"Yeah... heh, but I'm sure you'll be shocked to know, I participated in their nudity." revealed Anna as her face reddened, while Elly eyed her suspiciously.
"Seriously? You went around their home, naked?"
"Yep. I wouldn't be able to fly properly without risking burning up my clothes, a friend I made there offered me their clothes, but they covered so little. I ultimately went along with the suggestion that I just go naked, since it was a normal thing for them." answered Anna, prompting Elly's eyes to widen in shock.
"Seriously!?" gasped Elly. "You really flew around naked, in a village of other people you didn't know!?"
"Heh, yeah." answered Anna embarrassingly.
"What did that feel like!? You must've been sooo nervous, and embarrassed! And what did Elsa think? Oh, did Elsa join in too!?"
"Hehe, no, Elsa didn't join in, but she was definitely shocked when she found me with a group of other fairy's, girls and boys. One of the guys was naked too."
"Ohhh, really?" asked Elly with a grin. "Bet you got a real eyeful huh?"
"N-Not on purpose." answered Anna with a nervous smile.
"Was he a grower or shower?"
"What does that mean?" asked Anna curiously.
"Heh, never-mind. Was he cute?"
"I... don't know about cute, but he wasn't, unattractive."
"Hehe, so, Kristoff isn't your only guy friend now?"
"No, he's not." answered Anna with a smile.
"Ohh, how does Elsa feel about that?"
"Well, I dunno about the guy friends part, but she was really possessive and clingy about me being around the naked guys."
"Heh, I bet she was."
"In hindsight, it was kinda cute though." stated Anna. "I was getting used to the nudity though at the time, but I wasn't naked at the time. Elsa's behavior was annoying though, I told her that I'd be fine with her being around naked guys, in the village anyway, but that still didn't calm her down, but eventually we worked it out. Now, though, I've agree not to embrace the fairy's nude custom, to ease Elsa's mind."
"Well that's nice of you." replied Elly. "It must've been some experience though. Being naked around people who didn't see it as weird."
"Yeah, it was an experience." answered Anna with a smile and blush. "I actually liked it a lot after I got use to it."
"Really?"
"Yeah. At the start, I was SUPER nervous. So nervous that it actually 'excited' me, but I didn't want to be." answered Anna, prompting a chuckle from Elly.
"Really!? Were you dripping? Did anyone see?"
"Hehe, I'm sure they noticed how red I was."
"And how stiff your nipples were." teased Elly, prompting an embarrassed chuckle from Anna.
"Yeah, that too. I don't know about any dripping, but I could definitely feel it trailing down my thighs. But, no one pointed it out though. I was expecting people to point and comment, or even tease me, but everyone just acted normal, well, for them it was normal. For me though, it really helped to ease my nerves."
"Wow. That's great."
"Yeah. Once I adjusted, I really enjoyed the freedom, and the wind on my skin flying around. It was like being in a new world, and I had the freedom to do something I couldn't- or rather, shouldn't do in my everyday life, and I liked it!"
"Heh, looks like experiencing more of the world has opened you up to something you didn't know you liked." commented Elly.
"Yeah..." sighed Anna. "I'm disappointed I won't be able to do it again though. It makes Elsa uncomfortable, and I don't want to make her uncomfortable about something easily fixed."
"Well, that sucks. Maybe you could change her mind. Tell her how much you enjoyed it."
"Maybe, but I already agreed. The best chance I'd have for changing her mind would be for her to experience it, and liking it as much as I do. I've already told her I'd allow her to do it when we visited again, since I've already done it, but she's pretty sure she won't accept my offer."
"Well, that's disappointing."
"Yeah, well, I don't want Elsa feeling uncomfortable, and it's not that big of a deal." replied Anna with a smile before sitting. "Moving on though, how about I tell you about our adventure?"
"Sure." replied Elly as she sat in front of Anna with a smile as well. "I'd love to hear about it."
"Alright, so, shortly after we get passed the mist covering the forest..."
- 1:07 P.M. -
Exiting her room, Elsa saw her parents, Iduna and Agnarr, walking up the hallway towards her to her right.
"Hey Elsa." greeted Iduna with a smile. "We were coming to talk to you."
"Oh? What about?" asked Elsa as she closed the door to her room and faced her parents, who stopped in front of her, and Agnarr replied...
"Do you have about twenty or thirty minutes to spare?"
"I do."
"Well, your mother and I were talking about our three-year absence, and the topic of our grave site came up." stated Agnarr, prompting a wide-eyed look on Elsa's face before Agnarr continued, a little nervous. "... and we were both a little curious to visit it- If you wouldn't mind taking us there." he added, before Iduna quickly chimed in...
"If it's ok with you, of course."
"Oh, uh..." replied Elsa hesitantly as she averted her gaze.
Following Elsa's nervous response, Iduna and Agnarr briefly glance at each other with slight concern, before Agnarr places a hand on Elsa's shoulder.
"It's ok, we can ask someone else."
"Oh, no..." replied Elsa, lifting her gaze to her parents with a little smile and placing her hand to her fathers on her shoulder. "It's not that I don't want to take you there. It's just, I can't." she added, averting her gaze shyly. "I've... never visited the grave-site."
"Oh..." replied Iduna, wide-eyed.
"I wanted to, but... I couldn't." stated Elsa. "Part of me didn't want to believe that you were gone, and going to the grave-site would be accepting it. I just couldn't do it. And after a while, I just, lost interest in going there, sorry." she added, before Iduna quickly hugged her.
"You don't need to apologize. We're back."
"Yeah, you are." Replied Elsa as she returned the hug. "So, I wouldn't mind going there now, but you're better off asking Anna." she added, pulling back. "She visited the site... alone." she continued, with a disappointed sigh at the end. "Anyway, let's check her room first."
"Alright." replied Iduna, before Elsa led the way towards Anna's room.
"So..." started Elsa. "Is there a particular reason you two want to visit your own grave-site?"
"Just curious." answered Agnarr.
"Yeah." added Iduna. "Not many people can say they visited their own grave- or rather, memorial, in this case. I wonder what I'll feel when I see it, or if I'll feel anything at all."
"Hmm, curiosity, huh?" replied Elsa. "I think I can understand that. Don't know if I'd be that curious if I had a grave somewhere, though. The morbid and creepy factor would keep me away."
"Heh, yeah." chuckled Agnarr. "This is a rather morbid curiosity. But it's a unique situation."
The trio soon arrived at Anna's room, and Elsa knocked on her door, announced herself and Anna answered from within that she was coming, and opened the door with a smile.
"Hey, Elsa, good timing!" greeted Anna before noticing Iduna and Agnarr. "Oh, hey, Mother, Father. Something come up?"
"Nothing terribly important." replied Iduna. "Sounds like you had something to talk to Elsa about, though; we can wait."
"Well, you've all come to me; my thing can wait; what's up?" asked Anna.
"Alright." replied Iduna with a smile. "Your father and I would like to visit our memorial site, and Elsa told us to ask you to take us there."
"Oh." replied Anna, wide-eyed, before looking at Elsa, who shyly averted her gaze. "... right." she added, before returning her gaze to her parents, "But, why?"
"Curiosity, that's all." replied Iduna, before Elsa added...
"I'll be joining too."
"Ok then." replied Anna with a smile. "Just wait there a moment; there's something I wanna show Elsa." she added before closing her door. The three waited about a minute before Anna partly opened her door and peeked her head out with a smile. "Hey Elsa, you know how you have your ice dress as your go-to outfit, right?"
"Yeah." answered Elsa curiously.
"Well, ta-da!" cheered Anna as she swung open her door to reveal the unique glass creation of a dress with pants, prompting wide-eyed looks of interest from all three. "I've come up with my own 'go-to' outfit! What do you think?"
"It's unique..." answered Iduna, followed by Elsa...
"Yeah, but I like it."
"Same here." added Agnarr. "Heh, reminds me of a feminine, dressy version of overalls."
"Oh, you're right." commented Anna, looking over her creation. "Overalls can be pretty loose, though, in the top and open at the sides; my version doesn't have that problem. Anyway, I came up with this as a way that I could fly without risking burning up my clothes and anyone below me looking right up my skirt."
"Nice." replied Elsa. "So, it's a dress with pants?"
"Exactly!" replied Anna, before Agnarr chuckled and commented...
"Does this new look have a name?"
"I didn't actually give that any thought." answered Anna, before looking down to her clothing. "Hmm, it's a dress with pants, so... Dresspants? No, that doesn't sound right... Pantdress? Hmm, better but I'm not really liking it." she added, before Agnarr chuckled again and commented
"Well, regardless of what you name it, seeing you in pants as normal clothing and not your pajamas will be a little weird."
"Heh, yeah." replied Anna. "I'm a little nervous about going out in public like this too; only Elly and a few people in the castle have seen me in this before you guys. I don't make a habit of wearing my glass clothing out in public either, because of the attention it draws. Now I'll be wearing pants too?" she added before giving a mock gasp. "The princess in pants!? What's going on!?" she stated, prompting a chuckle from all three, before Iduna commented...
"Well, as long as you're happy with what you're wearing, I won't go against it."
"Same here." added Elsa. "Pants look good on you."
"Heh, they look good on you too." commented Anna's with a smirk, before blushing and looking at her parents. "Ahem, anyway. I'm still going to be wearing normal dresses; this will just be my go-to for traveling, like when we head to the Enchanted Forest later today to let our family know the date of the welcome back party."
"Alright then." replied Agnarr. "Ready to take us to our memorial?"
"Yeah, but one more thing!" commented Anna before delightfully heading back into her room, and the three saw her pick up a glass, oval-shaped plank that was nearly as tall as her and return to the three, holding the glass creation at her side with a proud smile on her face. "Thanks to Elly, she helped me realize that I don't need to use my fire to fly! I can fly like Elsa does!" revealed Anna, to the others surprise, Elsa in particular, who commented...
"Wow."
"Well..." added Agnarr with a chuckle. "We have two surfers in the family."
"Oh, that's it!" gasped Anna as she pointed at her father. "I knew there was a word for that! When Elsa learned her way of flying, it reminded me of what I read of people doing on the water with big slabs of wood. It's surfing!"
"That's right." replied Agnarr, before Anna chuckled and looked at Elsa and commented...
"Maybe we can talk Nokk into making some waves for us to try out real surfing."
"Hehe, I doubt our version compares to the real thing in skill." replied Elsa.
"It'll be fun to learn, though. Anyway..." commented Anna, before looking at her surfboard with a smile. "There's still the issue of having the glass to use this, but I have options now; I don't need to risk burning stuff around me on take-off. Oh, pluuus..." continued Anna delightfully as she placed the board to the side of the door and took some of the glass from it and down to form her shoes. "I have a third option! In those times I need to get someplace high, but I don't really need to fly..." she added, before stepping out of her room and into the hall, facing the three. "I can do this!" she added before jumping, and to the three's surprise, Anna's feet didn't return to the floor as she was suspended about two feet from the floor, standing proudly with her hands on her hips. "Ta-da!"
"How are you doing that!?" asked both Elsa and Iduna, prompting a chuckle from Anna.
"The same way I use that board to fly, and the same way Elsa fly's." answered Anna before she dropped to the floor and pulled off her right shoe and held it flat in her hand, before she used her magic to make it float above her hand. "Like Elsa, I can move my glass around, and I can position it in a certain spot and keep it there. So..." she added, before she placed her shoe back on. "If I put that into practice while I'm wearing my glass as shoes..." she continued before stepping in place, and with each step, rises into the air, just for three steps. "I can walk on the air- well, my glass, actually, but it looks like I'm walking on nothing." she explained, before dropping to the floor. "It's slower than flying, but has its uses! Plus, it's something Elsa should be able to do too!"
"That does make sense." commented Elsa, while Iduna commented a simple...
"Wow."
"Hold on..." stated Agnarr. "If you could use the glass you're wearing to fly, doesn't that extend to your clothes?"
Elsa and Anna both gasped and looked at their father at the realization.
"Oh, my God, you're right!" declared Anna. "I just need to be wearing my glass." she added, looking down at her clothing before changing it to form to her body like a second skin, which brought a blush from Elsa's face as, while Anna was still covered, nothing was showing; it left little to the imagination.
"Uh, Anna." said Elsa.
"I'll try first, then you can go." stated Anna excitedly before she slowly lifted from the ground. Anna waved her arms as if she were unsteady but giggled delightfully; however, she began to tip forward, near horizontal, as she began to kick her legs. "It's tough to balance." commented Anna before attempting to right herself and gasping when she shot up and into the ceiling. Looking down at the others, Iduna was the only one to look concerned, while Elsa and Agnarr repressed a chuckle.
"Good thing you weren't outside." commented Elsa.
"Yeah..." replied Anna, before gasping as she dropped, but groaned when she stopped just before landing on the floor, before harmlessly meeting the floor and returning to her feet. While Anna didn't seem to notice, Elsa did see a particular impression on Anna's crotch, but it didn't last long before she returned her clothing to normal. "Well, that's going to take some practice."
"I'll leave it up to you, and you can teach me later." commented Elsa.
"Heh, sure." replied Anna, before walking to and closing her door. "Well, let's head to the courtyard; I'll make a portal there."
- 1:46 P.M. -
- Memorial Site -
Walking through the portal, Anna turned around to face the others on the other side and to see the large stone monuments before Iduna and Agnarr walked through, followed shortly after by a hesitant Elsa before the portal closed.
"Well, when you're ready." commented Anna, followed by a slow, calming breath by Iduna and Agnarr before they turned to face their monuments with wide eyes and walked up to their respective stones, while Anna saw Elsa remain where she stood, head bowed and eyes closed.
"Hey..." commented Anna, walking up to Elsa and placing a hand on her shoulder. "What's wrong?"
"I... don't know." answered Elsa, crossing her arms over her chest. "I don't know if I can do this." she continued. "I know they're alive. It's just two big rocks with their names on them, but for some reason, I can't turn around. I'm scared."
"It's ok." commented Anna gently, placing her other hand on Elsa's other shoulder.
"I want to do this." stated Elsa, before lifting her head and opening her eyes to look at Anna with a little smile. "Just give me a moment. Go see how mother and Father are doing."
"Are you sure?" asked Anna, briefly looking past Elsa to see their parents standing in front of their monuments; both had placed a hand on their stones.
"Yeah, I'm sure." answered Elsa, lifting her hand up to Anna's, pulling them away, and holding on to them. "I just need more time."
"Ok then..." replied Anna, with a smile in return, before releasing her hands and walking past Elsa, though, looking back to see Elsa looking up to the sky and taking a deep, slow breath before walking up to Iduna's immediate right, while Agnarr stood to Anna's right about two yards away. "Hey, feeling alright?"
"Strangely, yeah." answered Iduna with a little smile before looking at Anna. "I don't feel particularly sad or emotional; it's more of a detached feeling. You mourned us; the proof is here, but I don't feel anything."
"Huh..." replied Anna. "Well, Elsa's having a tough time."
"Oh, then I'll go check on her." replied Iduna, looking back to see Elsa lightly patting her cheeks with her hands.
"Don't, Elsa said to give her some time."
"Oh, ok then." replied Iduna, before looking over to Agnarr to see a surprising sight, prompting an "Oh." from her, and Anna to look and see that her father had a hand over his face.
"Hey, Dad..." commented Anna, walking over to Agnarr, who quickly turned away from her but clearly wiped his face and cleared his throat. Anna smiled at her father, trying to hide his emotion. "How are you feeling?" asked Anna, placing a hand on her father's back.
"Fine." answered Agnarr, before Iduna walked up to Agnarr's right, placed a hand on his shoulder with a smile, and peeked at his face to see him wiping tears from his eyes.
"You don't need to hide what you're feeling. What is it?" asked Iduna, prompting a small chuckle from Agnarr and a sigh.
"It just hit me. We were actually gone from their lives. Three whole years, but it hasn't been that long for me. I could sense that time had passed when returning to the castle and catching up on what I missed, but seeing these monuments just made it sink in."
Anna smiled as she caressed her Father's back, and shortly after, she saw movement from Elsa's direction, looked to see her turn around, and saw the apparent surprise on her face before Anna walked towards her, seeing a small smile grow on her face, and almost looked relieved as tears trailed from her eyes.
"Hey." commented Anna with a smile. "How ya feeling?"
"Relief, strangely." answered Elsa, lifting her hand to wipe her tears. "I thought I'd be a wreck, but it's like... I've been holding this in by refusing to come here and acknowledge the reality, but finally facing it is letting the emotion finally free, a sort-of, release."
"A release, huh?" commented Anna with a smile before hugging her. "Well, just in case that release comes with more intense emotion, we're here for you."
"Heh, I'm fine. But I won't deny a-" replied Elsa, before stopping as she felt a well of emotion bubbling up within her- familiar emotions, grief, and sadness- and felt more tears trailing from her eyes. "W-What the... I-I..." stuttered out Elsa, wiping the tears from her face, but they continued to come.
"Just let it come out." stated Anna.
"I-I've already done this, though." replied Elsa, confusedly wiping away her flowing tears.
"Grief isn't a one-time emotion." stated Iduna, prompting Elsa to lift her teary gaze to her mother and father, who had approached them, before Agnarr added...
"... And visiting a grave can be an important step through the grieving process, which you avoided."
"So let it out." requested Iduna with a smile as she caressed Elsa's wet cheek, before Elsa closed her eyes and returned Anna's embrace as she let the emotion out, quietly sobbing in Anna's hold, who also had tears in her eyes.
Iduna and Agnarr decided not to join Anna in embracing Elsa and let them have the moment to themselves, but the two parents were also a little teary-eyed and saw a light snowfall around them, prompting a small smile from them.
Shortly following the end of Elsa's emotional release, she pulled back from Anna, sniffling a little and wiping the tears from her face.
"Ohhh, turns out I was a wreck after all." commented Elsa.
"I'm sure you feel better, though, right?" asked Anna with a smile.
"Heh, I feel embarrassed." answered Elsa with a blushing smile. "Crying in grief over our parents, who are right in front of me." she added, prompting a chuckle from Iduna, Agnarr, and Anna, who commented...
"Emotions can be strange sometimes."
"Yeah..." sighed Elsa, wiping the lingering tears from her face before looking at her parents. "How are you two feeling?"
"Fine." answered Iduna and Agnarr, who added...
"Had a little moment, seeing the reality that we were gone, but I'm good."
"Well, you're here now." replied Elsa, before walking up to Agnarr and hugging him. "And I'm very happy for that."
"Me too." replied Agnarr with a smile as he returned the embrace, before Anna also repeated the sentiment as she hugged Iduna, who also returned it, before the four all joined together in a group hug.
