- The next day, September 23th, Thursday -
- Honeymaren and Emory's Room, 6:57 A.M. -
Waking up, but not yet opening her eyes, Emory enjoyed the warm comfort of the bed, wanting to stay right where she lay. Following a yawn, though, Emory opened her sleepy eyes, rubbing them briefly before blinking open and seeing Honeymaren was absent. Her side of the bed was a bit disheveled, and after a quick scan of the room revealed that Honeymaren was not in the room itself.
Honeymaren's absence didn't bother Emory, though, and she returned her head to the pillow, closed her eyes, and thought back to the previous day, being welcomed with open arms by not just Elsa and Anna, but everyone in the castle.
'Everyone was so nice.' thought Emory. 'Even those who didn't know who I was; just a guest of Elsa and Anna.'
Unlike Honeymaren, Emory was familiar with the conveniences and comforts of 'modern life' and adjusted quickly. If not for her bias towards the Northuldra and the friends and relationships she had made, living in Arendelle would be an easy choice.
'I could have my own house here if things don't go well.' thought Emory, before picturing herself in her own home, and a smile comes to her face. 'Honey and I could have our own home together and make a life for ourselves here.'
As delightful as this thought made her, Emory was quickly reminded that such a change would not be easy for Honeymaren.
'It's a nice thought, but I'd still like to live with the Northuldra... What I want may not be possible, though. I did suddenly leave without warning; they might think I'm a coward. No, I can't think like that.' thought Emory, before sitting up, revealing the white nightgown she wore before yawning again with a stretch before opening her eyes.
"Besides, if that is true, that's not a place I should return to anyway." she commented aloud, before removing herself from the bed and doing a proper stretch, giving a pleasured groan as she stretched her sleep-stiff body. "Nnnnngh! Ohhh, good stretch." sighed Emory with a smile, before heading to her door.
Reaching a hand towards the doorknob, Emory's doesn't reach it's target before the knob turns and the door opens to reveal Honeymaren, also dressed in a white nightgown.
"Oh, Emory, you're up."
"Yep, good morning." greeted Emory with a smile.
"Good morning to you too." replied Honeymaren. "I had to pee and thought I'd get back before you woke up. I would've, but then I figured since I was there, I'd brush my teeth."
"Heh, it's fine. I gotta go pee too." commented Emory, before walking out and passing Honeymaren. "I'll be back in a bit."
With an uneventful trip, Emory returned to her room to see Honeymaren sitting on 'her' side of the bed.
"Hey." greeted Emory. "Everything ok?" she added, noticing Honeymaren was looking down when she opened the door.
"Yeah, you just caught me thinking. I'm fine."
"What were you thinking about?" asked Emory, as she walked to and sat to Honeymaren's right.
"Just possibilities." answered Honeymaren with a smile.
"What sort of possibilities?" asked Emory, prompting a small smirk from Honeymaren.
"Me staying here with you, in the event that you chose that."
"Oh, well, I still intend to return." replied Emory, "So that's not something you need to think too hard about."
"I know." stated Honeymaren with a smile. "I was just thinking of the possibility. It's not like I couldn't visit the others if I moved here with you. But I have family and friends there I've known my whole life, but I could also make new friends here, and I have family here too." she added, before sighing. "It's just a hard choice to make. Stay with what's familiar and comfortable, or explore the unknown and the wild and crazy things I can discover outside the forest."
"Well, it's a choice you won't have to make any time soon." stated Emory with a smile.
"Yeah, but it's fun to think about. Like, would we stay in the castle or have our own home, all to ourselves?" commented Honeymaren, which prompted a smile from Emory at the similar thought she had earlier.
"Which would you like?"
"I dunno. I'm used to being around people, close to them, I mean. So even in the castle, although big, there are still people around. But with a home of our own, we'd have privacy, but I also might feel a little lonely." answered Honeymaren.
"Yeah, I get that. A room in the castle seems to be a good middle ground. We just can't be too loud when we have our fun." commented Emory with a smile as she leaned shoulder to shoulder with Honeymaren with a grin, prompting a chuckle from her.
Moments later, a knocking came from the door, and Emory volunteered to greet their guest, who was Anna on the other side, greeting her with a smile and a wave of the hand, dressed in a green nightgown.
"Hey, good morning!" greeted Anna. "Sleep well?"
"Good morning." greeted back Emory with a smile. "Yeah, I did."
"Good, I just came to see if you and Honeymaren would like to join us for breakfast."
"Oh, uh, I wouldn't want to intrude on something like that." replied Emory. "You have breakfast with your parents, right?"
"Yeah. I already asked them, though, and they'd be ok with it. So it's no problem at all if you wanna join us." stated Anna, before Honeymaren walked up beside Emory to her right and commented...
"Hey Anna, I wouldn't mind joining you for breakfast."
"Awesome! So, how about it, Emory?" asked Anna.
"Well, if it really is ok, I'll join." answered Emory with a smile. "When is breakfast?"
"Eight 'o clock, so about thirty minutes from now." answered Anna.
"Thirty minutes?" asked Emory. "That's pretty soon; we haven't bathed yet."
"Oh, well, we can push it back to eight thirty." suggested Anna. "That should be enough time so you won't feel rushed. I did just spring this on you two after all. Do you have any breakfast food requests?"
"I wouldn't know what to ask for." commented Honeymaren with a chuckle. "So just give me what you get."
"Alright, what about you, Emory?" asked Anna.
"Hmm, I liked those little, flat, bread, cake things." stated Emory. "I forgot the name."
"Pancakes?" asked Anna.
"Y-yeah, that's it, pancakes!" answered Emory with a smile. "So I'll have whatever you have but with pancakes."
"Well, lucky you." replied Anna with a smile. "I normally have pancakes for breakfast, with eggs, bacon, and a glass of milk."
"Nice." commented Emory, "All things I like. I see breakfast food hasn't changed." she added, before Honeymaren chuckled nervously and commented...
"Eggs and milk were the only two of those I recognized."
"Don't worry." replied Emory with a smile. "Pancakes and bacon are great. Pancakes are like soft, fluffy pillows you can eat. They can be eaten plain, but are even better when topped with stuff, like honey or butter. And bacon is like the jerky you guys have, but thin."
"Huh, thin jerky. That sounds interesting." commented Honeymaren.
"Well, I'll come back in an hour for you two." commented Anna.
"Ok." replied Emory and Honeymaren at the same time, before Anna departed with a wave of her hand, returned by the pair.
- 8:27 A.M., Dining Room -
"Good morning." greeted Iduna, Elsa, and Agnarr as Emory and Honeymaren approached and sat at the lengthy table. Elsa, Anna, and Iduna sat across from them, while the pair sat on the same side as Agnarr, who was to Emory's right.
"Good morning." greeted back the pair, before Emory added, "Thanks for inviting us to join you." the comment prompted a light chuckle from Iduna before she commented...
"Well, along with Honeymaren, you're basically family too. So while you're here, you're free to join us for breakfast."
"O-Oh, t-thank you." replied Emory, blushing brightly from the unexpected compliment and was nearly overcome with emotion at being considered family, but reigned it in, although the brief emotion was not lost on trio sitting across from her, who just smiled.
Honeymaren, who also smiled at Emory's red-faced reaction, turned her gaze towards the sisters and asked...
"So, do we just wait for our food to be brought to us?"
"Yeah." answered Elsa, before the sound of a door opening behind Honeymaren and Emory was heard, prompting Honeymaren to look back to see one of the male castle staff enter the room, pushing a small cart with what was clearly their food on it towards them. "... and there it is." added Elsa.
"Wow." commented Honeymaren simply as she saw the servant, thus the food- the very tasty-looking food, move past her towards Elsa and Anna, who were given their plates of food, who had nearly the same serving of food; Both had a double stack of pancakes and scrambled eggs. Elsa opted for two sausage links and bacon, whereas Anna chose just two strips of bacon. Their choice of drink also differed; Elsa had orange juice while Anna had milk.
Iduna and Agnarr were then served, which they also shared in having pancakes, before lastly, the servant placed Honeymaren and Emory's plates and chosen drink in front of them, which mirrored Anna's choice.
"Thank you, sir." commented Honeymaren to the servant, who smiled and replied...
"You're welcome, miss."
After the man promptly departed, Honeymaren looked down at the food in front of her with a smile.
"This does look good- and smells good too." commented Honeymaren.
"It is good." replied Emory delightfully, before picking up her fork and knife from the plate.
Although, before Emory could eagerly cut a piece of the pancake to eat, Iduna quickly stopped her, commenting with a smile...
"Hold on, we say grace first."
"O-Oh, ok." replied Emory, a little red-face, before Honeymaren chuckled lightly and commented...
"So you say thanks for the food? That's something I'm familiar with."
"We do." answered Agnarr, before Honeymaren offered her right hand to Emory, who took it and Agnarr's offered hand. Elsa then reached her hand across the table towards Honeymaren, and Iduna did the same with Agnarr, before she began a brief prayer.
"Lord, thank you for the food before us, the family and friends beside us, within our home, and the love between us. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen."
With the family repeating the 'amen' and releasing their hands, Honeymaren and Emory also repeated the ending remark as they all began to eat, although Honeymaren commented...
"So, you pray to a particular spirit?"
"Basically, yeah." answered Anna. "I could tell you about it later if you're interested."
"Sure, I'd be happy to learn about it." replied Honeymaren, before she briefly looked to Emory upon hearing a low, but delighted moan from her and seeing her happily chewing with a smile on her face. Without further delay, Honeymaren lifted the piece of pancake she had cut away and placed it into her mouth, and her eyes quickly widened in delight. "Oh wow! That is good! It's fluffy and sweet!"
"I knew you'd like it." commented Emory. "I don't think I've met a person who doesn't like pancakes. You can top it with all sorts of things or even mix things you like into the batter of the pancake itself, so you don't even need to top it with something."
"Well, I can definitely say I have a new favorite food." replied Honeymaren as she eagerly ate another piece of pancake, to the delight of Elsa and Anna, and their parents seeing Honeymaren's delight.
About half of the double stack of pancakes was gone before Anna commented...
"How about trying the bacon?"
"Oh, right." replied Honeymaren with a smile. "I was so focused on the pancake, I was ignoring the other stuff." she added, picking up one of the strips of bacon and briefly examining the fried treat, before biting a quarter of it off and chewing briefly with a small hum.
"Don't like it?" asked Elsa.
"No, no. It's not bad." answered Honeymaren. "Emory compared it to thin jerky. I'm not getting a jerky feeling chewing it. I like it, but it didn't hit me like the pancakes did." she added, before placing the rest of the bacon in her mouth.
"Hmm, maybe you'd like it crunchier." commented Anna. "Elsa likes her bacon hard; I like it in the middle, and since the two of you have what I have, you have my preference." she added, before Elsa picked up one of her strips of bacon and offered it to Honeymaren.
"Wanna try mine?"
"Sure." replied Honeymaren, and she took the offered treat and bit into it with a noticeable crunch and chewed with a small 'Mmm' of delight, "Ok, yeah, the crunch makes it better. I prefer this kind." she added, before offering the remaining piece to Emory. "You wanna try?"
"Nah, I don't like hard, crispy bacon. I'm with Anna in the middle. There's more flavor in my opinion."
"Exactly." commented Anna with a smile. "You get more of the juices from the meat too." she added, looking to Elsa with a smirk, who smirked back and commented...
"I'm not getting into this again with you."
Following a little pout from Anna, Honeymaren chuckled and commented...
"Well, I like the crunchy texture."
"But you get less of the flavor." stated Anna.
"Heh, there's plenty flavor, for me at least."
"Ugh, we're still tied then." replied Anna with a sigh.
"Tied?" asked Honeymaren. "On what?"
"Our mother's like me." stated Anna. "She likes the middle option, and Father shares Elsa's preference."
"Ahh, I see." replied Honeymaren with a smile, while Iduna and Agnarr both remained silent and simply smiled at the topic of bacon preference between them.
A few moments of silence passed as the group enjoyed their food, before Iduna asked...
"So, how was your first night here? Did you sleep well?"
"Yeah, we did." answered Honeymaren and Emory at the same time, prompting a chuckle from them both, before Honeymaren continued. "The bed was really comfortable."
"Well, that's great to hear." replied Iduna, before Agnarr asked...
"Honeymaren, how do you like living in the castle so far?"
"It's been great." answered Honeymaren. "Certainly different from the forest." she added, though looked hesitant briefly before continuing, "To be honest though... it's only been a day, so things can change, but I feel a bit... unsettled."
Not only the Arendelle family, but Emory also looked surprised by the comment before Agnarr asked...
"Unsettled? In what way?"
"Oh, it's nothing any of you or anyone in the castle has done, just so you know!" quickly reassured Honeymaren. "It's a me issue. It's just, this castle is so big." she added, looking up to the high ceiling of the room with a smile. "I could spend a whole day just familiarizing myself with all the rooms and halls and not even step outside, and that's amazing." she added, before sighing. "But, for as big and impressive as it is, I feel a bit... restricted. Heh, I know that sounds weird after I just said how big this place is, but there are so many walls and doors, and the only sunlight or view of the outside is from windows. That's the big one for me. So, as someone whose grown up in the forest and spend most of my time outside, this is a big change that I'll need to get used to. Same for the conveniences you have. I like it; they're great, but it feels weird to me." explained Honeymaren, prompting Emory to quickly reply...
"I'm sorry, I didn't notice you were uncomfortable."
"That's alright." stated Honeymaren with a smile. "I kept it to myself, and it didn't bother me enough for it to show on my face- I hope not at least. When Mr. Agnarr asked, though, I figured it would be OK to speak my mind."
"I appreciate that." commented Agnarr.
"Me too." added Iduna. "I actually understand where you're coming from." she added, prompting a smile from Honeymaren, before she turned her attention back to Emory.
"Besides, I wouldn't really say that I was uncomfortable. I just have to adjust to things around here."
"Well..." began Anna with a smile. "It's a good thing we're heading out to town later. You'll get all the fresh air and clear skies you want."
"I'm looking forward to it." replied Honeymaren.
"Actually..." started Emory, hesitantly, looking to Agnarr and Iduna. "Since Honeymaren spoke her mind, there's something I'd like to admit- or rather, tell you. Since you've welcomed me into your home, I feel it's only right- I mean, the respectful thing to do is to tell you two why I'm here."
"Alright." replied Iduna curiously.
"Go ahead." added Agnarr.
"OK..." replied Emory, before sighing and continuing, "A couple days ago, I was attacked, both physically and... the other one." she admitted with a grimace, prompting Iduna and Agnarr to both gasp at the reveal, and Iduna replied...
"Oh, that's horrible! Are you doing ok- oh what am I saying? Of course you're not!"
Emory, however, chuckles lightly and comments...
"I'm doing fine, well, a lot better than I was. Anyway, the 'other' attack almost happened; it was an attempt. Gale and Honeymaren saved me. Regardless, though, the experience really rattled me, and I was kinda depressed, I guess, the next day. Then people started laying on the pity for me nice and thick. They meant well; I know that, but each time someone would come up to me saying, 'are you ok', or 'how horrible what happened to me was', and on and on. It started to really bother me. It was just reminder after reminder of what happened, and I ended up running off. Which soon after, Gale got Anna involved. Although I didn't like it, I saw an opportunity to have some relief from my current environment, which led us to now." explained Emory.
"Firstly..." began Iduna. "I want to apologize for contributing to a point of stress for you."
"It's fine." replied Emory with a smile. "You're just one person, not a whole group. Plus, I know you mean well. I just don't want to be treated like some fragile piece of glass that'll shatter at a light touch."
"Well, thank you for sharing that with us." commented Iduna. "It couldn't have been easy." she added, prompting a sigh from Emory and a small smile.
"Actually, it's weird. I told Anna what happened yesterday, but I didn't feel this sense of relief that I do now."
"Well, a good night's sleep away from a stressful environment has probably allowed you to more easily accept what happened and not avoid it." stated Iduna, which brought a bigger smile to Emory's face
"Yeah, I know I'm tough enough to come back from this. I just got hit with a cheap shot. Just gotta take a step or two back, refocus, and get back in there!"
"That's a good attitude to have." commented Agnarr. "Don't let people push you around."
"Yeah, and it was just one jerk." stated Emory. "Even the people who don't like me condemned what he did, so that made me feel a lot better."
"That's good." replied Iduna and Agnarr at the same time, prompting a chuckle from them, before Agnarr added, "Yeah, only one outlier is really good."
"Yep." commented Emory happily.
- 9:12 P.M., Honeymaren and Emory's room -
"Well, breakfast was fun and tasty." commented Honeymaren delightfully as she and Emory walked into their room, while Honeymaren headed to and sat on the bed.
"It sure was." replied Emory, heading to the other side of the bed, but on the way, her gaze drifted to the hand mirror on the nightstand near the bed, walked to it and picked it up.
"That was just breakfast. I'm looking forward to what other kinds of food they have here." commented Honeymaren, although, not hearing a response from Emory, Honeymaren looked back to see Emory looking at her reflection in the hand mirror. "Emory?" called Honeymaren, prompting Emory to gasp and look at her with an embarrassed smile.
"O-Oh, sorry! Just got distracted. What is it?"
"Your reflection distracted you?" asked Honeymaren with a smile, prompting a chuckle from Emory.
"Heh, no. It's not that." replied Emory, before she sat on the opposite side of the bed, though angled to look at Honeymaren, but her gaze lowered to the mirror she held on her lap. "A thought came to me."
"What is it?" asked Honeymaren, who saw Emory glance to her, and face reddened a little, before standing and placing the mirror back on the nightstand.
"Nothing, it's silly." replied Emory, clearly embarrassed.
"Well, now I'm really curious. Even if it's silly, I wanna know. Tell me."
Emory hadn't yet released the mirror and hesitated in doing so upon Honeymaren's request, before lifting the mirror to see her reflection briefly before answering...
"After revealing why I'm here to Ms. Iduna and Mr. Agnarr, and the relief I felt. I thought I could maybe build on that and give myself some encouragement... in the mirror." revealed Emory, her voice lowering in embarrassment at the end, which prompted a low chuckle from Honeymaren.
"That's not silly. Do it."
"But it's embarrassing, though." whined Emory.
"You're the one that thought about doing it. So part of you wants to do it." stated Honeymaren.
"I know." groaned Emory.
"Want me to leave?"
"No, no. That just makes it more embarrassing somehow. Just... turn around." replied Emory, looking at Honeymaren, her face redder than before. "Don't look at me."
"Alright." replied Honeymaren, with a smile as she turned her back to Emory, who returned to her bed, sat with her back to Honeymaren as well, before lifting her mirror to see her reflection and took a deep breath to try and calm her embarrassment, before she started speaking to her reflection...
"Alright... Emory, you were attacked and..." Emory briefly hesitated to finish the statement, closing her eyes and taking another breath, before looking directly at herself and resuming, "Emory, you were attacked and nearly raped. It was scary and stressful, and you're still not completely ok, but it's going to be ok." she stated, which brought a smile to her face, as well as Honeymaren's, listening. "You're not going to let this drag you down. You're strong enough to get through this. You're not alone either, you have a bunch of people that support and care about you, like Honey, who has, is and will be there for you. So keep your head up and keep moving forward. You got this!" continued Emory, before sighing and lowering the mirror, her face nearly cherry red, but a big smile on her face.
"How do you feel?" asked Honeymaren, with a smile as she continued to maintain her position.
"Embarrassed. Heh, but good. I knew everything I said, but seeing me saying it to myself really made me feel a lot better. I'm glad I did it."
"Well, that's good to hear. Can I look at you now?"
"Heh, yeah." replied Emory, turning to lift her feet onto the bed, facing the foot of the bed, followed by Honeymaren doing the same, though facing the head of the bed.
"Sometimes, the best encouragement is from yourself." stated Honeymaren.
"Yeah..." replied Emory with a blushing smile.
"By the way, hearing what you said reminded me of something I wanted to talk to you about, about what happened. If you don't want to talk about it, though, I can wait."
"Go ahead and ask. I'll see if I want to answer."
"Alright. So, I find it interesting that you consider what Kyle did to be 'almost rape'. Based on what you've told me happened, I would consider it rape. Why do you see it differently?"
"Oh, well... I guess I consider unwanted penetration to be rape." Answered Emory. "Kyle only touched me. His intent was clear, but you and Gale came to my rescue, so it was a near rape to me. It still sucks, but it could've been much worse. I'd definitely be much worse mentally if you two hadn't rescued me, so there's that upside; it could've been worse."
"Hmm, true. I consider any unwanted sexual contact to be rape."
"Yeah, I get that. Intent matters too, though. Otherwise, would you consider what Asta and Ella did to me during our first bath, to be rape? I don't."
"Yeah, point taken." replied Honeymaren. "That's between friends. Getting a little handsy between friends is different from someone who's not your friend doing the same thing."
"Yeah, a friend knows when to back off; the other doesn't or doesn't care to, even after saying stop, which makes it rape." stated Emory, before sighing. "Anyway, enough of this topic. Let's talk about something else."
"Ok, I do have something lighter to talk about." stated Honeymaren. "Until our trip into town, I'm at a loss on what to do. I'd be tending to the reindeer around this time, but there's nothing I 'need' to be doing here."
"I get that. You had a routine before, and now you come to a place where almost everything is taken care of for you."
"Yeah, it's a big change from what I'm used to." replied Honeymaren. "Maybe I should ask Elsa or Anna if there's little tasks I could do, like you did."
"Heh, go for it." commented Emory with a smile. "We could always get to know more of the people in the castle. Oh, or maybe you could visit the stables. Reindeer and horses are pretty similar; maybe you could find some familiarity there."
"Ohh, you think so?"
"Absolutely, you're an animal person. The horses will probably love you."
"Well, maybe I will visit the horses."
"Oh, or..." commented Emory, grinning, before crawling the very short distance to Honeymaren and sitting on her lap, facing her and wrapping her legs around her. "We can use alllll this free time and privacy we have to have some 'real' fun. Whaddya say?"
The offer prompted a smirk from Honeymaren before she replied...
"Yanno, I've noticed something. Back home, I was the one to initiate our first time, but since we've been here, you're a lot more straightforward with what you want. Is there a particular reason for that?"
"I just feel more comfortable here." answered Emory. "Sure, we can go someplace away from camp, but we'd still be outside, and that's not really my thing, and in our home, there's still other people around. So, I let you lead in when would be a good time. I like a certain level of privacy to initiate, and this room, and the locked door, fits my privacy level."
"Oh, well, I'm sorry if you felt uncomfortable. Is there anything I can do to help?"
"Oh, no, no, you misunderstood what I meant!" quickly stated Emory. "I wasn't uncomfortable during it. I'm just unsure when to initiate, this..." she added, placing her hands on Honeymaren's shoulders with a smile. "In and around camp. I'll get used to it in time. Just be patient with me."
"Heh, I don't have a problem with that." replied Honeymaren with a smile, before reaching her hands under Emory's dress, slowly guiding her hands along her skin towards her breasts, prompting a shudder and lip-biting grin from Emory. "As long as you're OK with it, I have no problem starting."
"I'll be sure to tell you if I'm not." replied Emory, before gasping and placing her hands over Honeymaren's through her dress. "Oh, by the way, I'd like to cash in on our agreement that you let me focus on you."
"Aww, ok." stated Honeymaren with a playful pout, before removing her hands from Emory. "So, what do you wanna do to me?"
"Sit at the edge of the bed." requested Emory, removing herself from Honeymaren and standing at the side of the bed, before Honeymaren did as requested and before Honeymaren could ask, 'what next', a grin came to her face when Emory knelt in front of her and spread her legs.
"Just relax and enjoy." commented Emory with a smile, looking up at Honeymaren before sticking her middle and ring fingers into her mouth briefly before reaching under Honeymaren's dress and urging a small gasp from her as she closed her eyes and leaned her head back.
- 9:46 A.M., Emory and Honeymaren's Room -
Now lying on her back, with a hand over her mouth, eyes closed and breathing quickly, Honeymaren was riding the slow wave down from bliss thanks to Emory's slow but continued actions between her thighs, Emory's tongue probing into her. Only when Honeymaren's breathing calmed and her other hand, which had grabbed at Emory's hair, loosened did Emory stop and pull back with a satisfied grin, looking at the wet mass of Honeymaren's pubic hair, before Emory herself briefly stuck out her tongue and removed a couple hairs she felt on her tongue.
"So... am I getting better?" asked Emory with a grin, which prompted a little chuckle from Honeymaren, before she propped herself up on her elbows to look down at Emory.
"You could use a little more practice."
"Oh really?" asked Emory with a smile. "Then I guess I better get back to it, huh?"
Without further comment, Emory returned her tongue back into Honeymaren, prompting her to return to her back with a delighted moan. However, not ten seconds in, a knocking comes from the door, causing Emory to pull back and Honeymaren to sit up.
"Who's there?" asked Emory.
"It's Elly." answered the Handmaiden. "I was just making my rounds checking the rooms to replace the sheets. Since your still using the room, I'll come back later."
"Oh, wait a minute." stated Emory, before looking to Honeymaren. "You mind if we stop here?"
"I don't mind." answered Honeymaren with a smile, before Emory stood and wiped her mouth with her sleeve, followed by Honeymaren standing as Emory walked to and opened the door to greet their guest, who had a large basket next to her half filled with white clothe.
"Hi Elly. Can I help?" greeted Emory.
"Oh, uh, sure." answered Elly, clearly taken by surprise at the request but smiling from it. "I'm just taking the bed sheets to get changed and washed later."
"Do you just take them to get washed, or do you wash them too?" asked Emory.
"I wash them too."
"Can I help with that, too? I have some experience in washing clothes."
"Heh, really starting out strong, huh?" asked Elly with a smile. "Well, if you're free, sure. The girls would love an extra pair of hands. The color clothes are being washed today." she added, before Honeymaren walked up beside Emory. "Anyway, good morning to you two."
"Oh, right, good morning." replied Emory after a brief chuckle, followed by Honeymaren...
"Good morning. I have a question. Would I be allowed to visit the stables?"
"Sure. You like horses?" asked Elly, which brought a smile to Honeymaren's face.
"I take care of the reindeer at home, and Emory suggested that I might feel more comfortable visiting the horses."
"Well, I won't be able to show you the way myself since I'm working at the moment." replied Elly. "But you can go there yourself if you want. The stables are in the courtyard; it's the building to the left when you leave the castle."
"Oh, ok. I'd prefer not to go alone, but thanks for telling me where it is."
"You're welcome. The castle is big, and someone not familiar with it could get lost, so pairing up with someone here would be a good idea until you get used to it." stated Elly.
"Well, I'm confident I could get there and back, but I don't want to step out of the castle and the door lock behind me." commented Honeymaren.
"Oh, hehe, you don't need to worry about that. The front doors stay unlocked until evening." replied Elly. "But even if the door locks behind you, just knock, and someone will come to open it."
"Oh. Well, maybe I will go then. I'll let you two do your thing." stated Honeymaren, before giving a farewell wave of the hand as she departed, heading to the right of the room.
"Have fun." commented Emory with a smile, although Elly commented to Honeymaren...
"The front doors are the other way."
"I know." replied Honeymaren, looking back with a smile. "I just have to visit the bathroom before I go."
"Oh, ok then. See you later." stated Elly, before she picked up the basket next to her and entered the room, heading towards the bed, with Emory following.
"We're leaving the cover and just taking the sheets and pillowcases." stated Elly.
"Alright." replied Emory, before walking around the bed, before they both took one of the two pillows and removed its cover, which Elly placed both in the basket, followed by pulling the cover away to remove the sheets.
"So, how often do you do this?" asked Emory.
"Changing and washing the bed sheets?" replied Elly. "Once a week. You two just happened to get lucky that today was sheet-changing day." she added as the top sheet was removed and placed in the basket, before moving on to the sheet wrapped around the mattress.
"Well, lucky us."
"Heh, we're lucky too. Doing the laundry can be tiring, so having any help is welcome, especially an extra person." replied Elly.
"Heh, yeah, I remember those days." stated Emory as she happened to gather much of the sheet and walked it over to the basket. "Some people had the benefit of doing their laundry with magic, but not me."
"Heh, magic would certainly make this easy. Even Elsa and Anna don't have magic that cleans clothing, though." replied Elly.
"Yeah... although Elsa does control water and Anna fire, so if they worked together and added soap, maybe it could work." suggested Emory, prompting a chuckle from Elly.
"Heh, yeah, but the queen and princess doing laundry? That's way beneath them. I wouldn't dare ask them to help with the laundry."
"Yeah, you have a point." replied Emory. "Though, I could see Anna wanting to try, if only for the satisfaction of doing something useful with her magic."
"Me too, but Anna's the princess. And some things princesses just don't do." commented Elly, before starting to pick up the basket, but seeing that it had handles, Emory quickly offered to help carry. "Well, it's not that heavy, but sure."
"You have an extra pair of hands, after all." replied Emory with a smile as the two picked up the basket together and headed out of the room. "May as well use them."
"Heh, yeah, you're right." stated Elly. "Well, we have one more stop, Ms. Cassandra's room. Then we'll go place the sheets with the whites to be washed, get the replacements, put them on, and then go help the others wash the color clothes."
"Alright, I'm yours to command!" replied Emory with a smile, prompting a chuckle from Elly.
"Well, you're happy to get to work. I like that."
"I'm just happy to have something to do." replied Emory as the two departed towards Cassandra's room. "I know I'm a guest here, but I can't just sit and relax and do nothing."
"Heh, sometimes doing nothing is good, though."
"I know." sighed Emory. "It's just, circumstances being what they are, I just feel like I have to do something as thanks."
"What circumstances are there? If you don't mind telling me, of course."
"Oh, uh... sorry, I'd rather not." answered Emory, blushing a bit at the slip.
"Alright, I won't pry. You shouldn't overwork yourself, though."
"Heh, thanks. I won't. I know when to stop." replied Emory, prompting a smile from Elly.
"Well, aside from your 'circumstances,' are there any other topics that are off-limits?" asked the Handmaid.
"Nope, you?"
"Nope."
"Then let me ask you something first." stated Emory. "Is there any special reason you started working here?"
"Nope." answered Elly, before the two reached Cassandra's room, and Elly knocked on the door, to no answer, before trying the door and finding it unlocked, and the two walked into the unoccupied room. "The King and Queen had announced that they were looking for two servants specifically for the two princesses at the time, Elsa and Anna." she added, as the two began gathering the sheets and pillow casings. "I applied for the job, along with a few others, and was lucky enough to be chosen. I was assigned to Anna. We didn't really hit it off during our first meeting. Anna was still sad about Elsa, and here I come, a stranger wanting to be her friend, but eventually, she warmed up to me."
"Well, that's nice. Must have been tough to basically be a replacement." Following the comment, Emory saw Elly pause before closing her eyes with a light chuckle. "What? I remind you of something?"
"Yeah, you did." answered Elly with a smile as she met Emory's gaze. "The moment, to me, that Anna and I became friends. I made a comment about me being a replacement for Elsa. Not the smartest thing to say, heh, but Anna looked at me, directly in my eyes, and said, and I quote, 'Elly, you're not a replacement; you're my friend.'. It made me so happy to hear that. I wasn't just a servant whose job it was to be with Anna; I was her friend." she added, prompting Emory to just smile. "A-Anyway..." continued Elly as the two finished removing the last sheet. "On to you, Anna told me you're thousands of years old. Is that really true?"
"Yep, unfortunately." answered Emory with a smiling sigh.
"Wow... Why do you still look so young, though. You look about my age."
"Well, I was sealed in ice, so it halted my physical aging."
"Ohh, neat- or not, were you awake all that time?" asked Elly.
"Pretty much, yeah. But I had periods of sleep."
"Oh, not neat at all, then. Sorry."
"It's fine, I'm here now and free. I like this second chance I have." replied Emory. "I'm meeting so many new people and making a bunch of new friends."
"And I like that I met you." stated Elly with a smile. "Maybe I could be another friend."
"I wouldn't mind that at all." replied Emory with a smile.
"Great. Well, we're done here, so let's go drop these off and get the replacements." commented Elly before she and Emory left the room. "So, what was life like before you got sealed?"
"Not much different than it is now. Although humans weren't the only people around where I lived."
"Really? What kind of people!?" asked Elly eagerly. "As far as I know, we have succubi, fairies, and trolls around here."
"Well, I lived around demons of different types, so succubi were included in that, and Incubi too, of course, the male versions. Fairies too, werewolves, vampires, and mermaids."
"Wow! Werewolves, vampires, and mermaids?" gasped Elly. "Mermaids are real!? What about guy mermaids? Are they called mermen?"
"Heh, yep, and yeah." answered Emory with a smile. "They're basically like werewolves, except they change with water. They like being around people and singing."
"Wow..." commented Elly in delighted awe, before gasping and asking. "Oh, were there any rare types of people that you wouldn't see a lot or only heard of?"
"Hmm, rare people... let me think. Remembering things like that can be tricky for me."
"Ok, take your time."
A few moments of walking, Emory gasped...
"Got it! I met an angel once!"
"W-What!?" gasped Elly, wide-eyed, more shocked than amazed as her walking haulted. "Did I hear you right? You met an angel? A white-winged, halo-on-head ANGEL!?"
"Yeah. Why so stunned about that?" asked Emory. "You have demons here."
"I... sure, but the demons I've met, I'm not thinking, 'yeah, they're from Hell', well, before I met them, yeah, demons equal Hell. Not the demons I know, they don't even live in Hell. Anyway, I just didn't expect to hear Angels are an actual person you can meet here on earth."
"Well, they are. I've only met one in my life, though." stated Emory.
"And you were alive?"
"Heh, yeah, I was alive. I talked to her like I'm talking to you."
"What was she like!?" eagerly asked Elly. "Was she nice!? What did her wings look like!? How bright was her halo!? What was she doing on Earth!? Or, did she even come from Heaven? Maybe Angels are like the demons I've met, their just special, or-"
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, slow down there." answered Emory with a chuckle. "First of all, she was nice. I didn't even know she was an angel because she had her wings hidden and wasn't wearing her halo. She just looked like a normal, though oddly attractive, person. We happened to be in the same shop at the time, and the angel and owner were talking, and the owner mentioned her being an angel."
"Wait, she wasn't 'wearing' her halo?" Asked Emory. "Halos are things they can wear? I thought it was a part of them."
"Heh, yeah, it's like a uniform- or rather, badge for them."
"So... an angel wearing a halo is like a guard on duty?"
"Exactly."
"And I guess she had her wings hidden because she didn't need them at the time? Like the demons I know." asked Elly.
"Right. But when I found out she was an angel, I asked to see her wings and halo, and she showed them to me. Her wings were really big and bright white. If I'm remembering right, they glowed a little too. She didn't wear her halo, though, saying there was a rule against putting it on when there was no need, but she did show it to me and even let me hold it."
"Seriously!? What did it feel like? Was it heavy?" eagerly asked Elly.
"It felt like nothing and weighed nothing. Like I was holding a ring of pure light."
"So you're saying, it was light?" asked Elly with a grin, prompting Emory to think for a moment before giggling.
"Ah, good one, yeah."
"Heh, wow... What sort of powers do angels have?" asked Elly eagerly.
"Well, there's only one confirmed 'trait' angels have: the rest is just rumors." answered Emory. "Or maybe not; I have been out of the loop for a few thousand years. Those rumors could've been confirmed or denied by now. Anyway, the confirmed one that I know of is that their presence can weaken demons around them, and being 'on duty' can cripple them, as in, pin them down, unable to move."
"Wow, that would certainly make it easy for them to catch or question someone. Can they force someone to tell the truth?"
"Well, it's rumored that you can't lie in the presence of an angel." answered Emory. "But like I said, other than the confirmed thing about weakening demons, anything else I tell you is unconfirmed to my knowledge. So if you don't mind everything else I say about them possibly being completely wrong, I could tell you about the other rumors about Angels that I know of."
"Sure, I don't mind."
- Meanwhile -
- Castle Courtyard -
Stepping outside the castle, an immediate smile came to Honeymaren's face, feeling the air meet her face.
"This feels better." sighs Honeymaren. "I don't hate being inside, but seeing the sky and feeling the breeze is familiar to me."
Her mood now a few levels higher, Honeymaren walked down the couple of steps into the courtyard and looked to the left, seeing a small wooden home she recognized before, though this time, of the four open windows she saw, two were occupied by a horse sticking its head out of. She also saw that the door to the stable was wide open, so, smiling, Honeymaren approached the building, particularly one of the horses, a white one with a black-tipped snout with a well-maintained black and white short mane. Upon the horse's gaze meeting hers, Honeymaren cautiously approached it.
"Hey there, big guy, or girl. You friendly?" she greeted, walking up close enough and stopping so that the horse would need to stretch its neck out a little more to reach her, but giving Honeymaren enough time to move if it was aggressive.
To her relief, though, reaching out to her, the horse calmly reached out to touch her shoulder with his nose, which Honeymaren smiled at, not sensing any aggression, she slowly lifted her right hand to place on his head, which the horse didn't mind at all.
"Well, you're not aggressive." commented Honeymaren, before taking a step towards the horse and being delightfully surprised when the horse lifted and rubbed its head against Honeymaren's. "Heh, even better, you're friendly." added Honeymaren, before lifting her other hand to pet and stroke the horse's head.
The cuddle time was briefly cut short when Honeymaren saw an older man enter her view from the horse's right.
"Can I help you, miss?"
"Oh, no, sorry." quickly replied Honeymaren, pulling her hands away from the horse, but the horse apparently wasn't satisfied and nudged and rubbed its head against her, prompting a brief chuckle from her as she resumed the petting. "I'm a guest and relative of Elsa and Anna. I was told I could visit the stable. This is my first time seeing a horse; they're very beautiful animals."
"Ahh, a fellow animal lover, huh?" stated the man as he walked up to the window, to the right of the horse, and patted its neck. "This one here is Kjekk. He's the princess' horse."
"Wow, Anna has her own horse?" asked Honeymaren.
"Yep, and he seems to have taken a liking to ya."
"Heh, well, I do take care of reindeer. So this isn't the first time interacting with a similar animal. Reindeer are a lot smaller, though." replied Honeymaren.
"Reindeer, huh? Well, there's a young man here in town that has a reindeer companion. You'd probably get along with him and his reindeer."
"Really? Well, I'd like to meet him sometime."
"Just ask the Queen or the Princess; they're friends with him. Until then, though, would you like to come in and meet the other horses?"
"Sure!" answered Honeymaren delightfully. "Oh, as long as I'm not bothering you, though."
"Hehe, you're not a bother. Come join me. I could show you how we take care of the horses if you're interested."
"Oh, I'd love that! Alright then." replied Honeymaren happily as she joined the man in the building.
- 11:38 A.M., Second floor of the Great Hall -
"Man, forgot how much of a workout washing clothes is." commented Emory to herself as she shook her arms a little as she made her way towards the hallway her room was located in to have a brief rest.
While tiring work, Emory was happy to meet the other servants and had a wonderful time chatting with them, as well as them towards her. She also discovered Elly had a girlfriend, who also joined them, Elsa's handmaid she met yesterday, Isabelle. Remembering the brief time was put on hold, however, when Emory opened the door to the hallway and nearly walked into Anna.
"Oh, Anna, hi."
"Hey Emory, we were looking for you." greeted Anna.
"We?" asked Emory, before her focus shifted from Anna to the other, shorter person at Anna's right. A smiling snowman looking up at her, which mildly surprised Emory. "Oh! Heh, didn't see you there." she stated, before kneeling with a smile. "You're Olaf, right?"
"Yep! And I like warm hugs!" answered the snowman happily.
"Oh, so do I! Bring it in!" replied Emory delightfully as she extended her arms, prompting a chuckle from Olaf as he eagerly accepted the hug, which also prompted a light chuckle from Anna, before she commented...
"I wanted to introduce Olaf to you."
"Well, I'm happy to meet you, Olaf." greeted Emory after releasing the snowman. "I'm Emory."
"Elsa and Anna have told me about you!" replied Olaf delightfully. "You gave them their magic."
"Heh, yep, I did."
"Then that would make you my grandma!" declared Olaf, prompting a wide-eyed look of surprise from Emory.
"Oh, uh... heh, I guess that does, doesn't it?" chuckled Emory, followed by Anna giggling as well...
"And that makes the spirits, your aunts and uncles."
"I'd really like to meet them too!" commented Olaf.
"There's Marshmallow too." stated Anna. "Can't forget him."
"Heh, I have a magical family tree growing here." commented Emory, before Anna grinned and asked...
"Oh, would that make me and Elsa your children too? Magically speaking, of course."
"Are you gonna call me Mom now?" asked Emory with a smirk.
"Do you want me to?" answered back Anna with a smirk as well.
"Heh, just Emory is fine." replied Emory as she stood. "Or Emi too, remember?"
"Oh, that's right!" gasped Anna. "So, Emi, what have you been up to since breakfast?" she added.
"I helped Elly with changing the sheets, and I'm coming back from helping out with washing the laundry."
"Wow, you helped out with the laundry? That can be a real workout on your arms."
"Yeah, but I like it." replied Emory with a smile. "I got to meet the other servants, and we had a fun time talking. The time just flew by, and only now I'm starting to feel it in my arms."
"Well, as long as you want to do it, I won't complain." commented Anna. "I'm glad you and Elly are getting along."
"Me too. It's nice having friends in multiple places."
"So, where's Honeymaren?" asked Anna.
"Last I saw her, she was heading to the stables." answered Emory. "I told her that since she takes care of the reindeer, she might feel more comfortable being around the horses."
"Oh, well that's a good idea." replied Anna. "I'll stop by there and see if she's still around. I'm guessing you were returning to your room, so I'll let you get back to that." she added, before stepping aside.
"Thanks." stated Emory, before looking down to Olaf. "It was nice meeting you, Olaf."
"Same here, Granny Emory!" happily replied Olaf, prompting an embarrassed look on Emory's face.
"Heh, just Emory, please."
"Aww, alright then, Emory." replied Olaf before looking away, thinking aloud, "That feels weird..."
"Well, I'll see you later." stated Emory before walking by the two.
"See ya." replied Anna, before she and Olaf walked through the door into the Great Hall. "Well, let's go see how Honeymaren's doing. I can say hi to Kjekk too."
However, reaching and pushing open the castle's front door, it stopped abruptly with a thud and an 'OW!' on the other side.
"Oh sorry!" quickly apologized Anna with a cringe before she saw Honeymaren step to the right of the door, allowing Anna to fully open it to see Honeymaren rubbing her forehead. "I'm so sorry about that! Are you bleeding?"
"I don't feel anything." answered Honeymaren, pulling her hand away to see her hand was clear of any blood, and Anna saw that the impact didn't break the skin, though there was a clear redden mark.
"That'll probably swell. I'll fix that for you." stated Anna, lifting her right hand up to Honeymaren's forehead, which got a small wince from her before she healed the minor injury.
"Thanks." commented Honeymaren, rubbing the healed area.
"Sorry again."
"It's fine, just unfortunate timing." replied Honeymaren, before looking down to Olaf. "Hi Olaf."
"Hi Honeymaren!" greeted back Olaf.
"Anyway..." stated Anna. "I just met Emory about a minute ago, and she said you were at the stables, so I was coming to say hi."
"Oh, well, thanks. I really enjoyed being with the horses. The guy tending to them taught me some stuff about them."
"Well, that's good." replied Anna. "You probably felt right at home, huh? Reindeer and horses are pretty similar."
"Yeah, I've never seen a horse before- well, there's Nokk, but he's different. A real, flesh-and-blood horse are much bigger, but they seem to have the same temperament the reindeer back home have."
"Yeah, as long as you don't mess with them, they're friendly. Maybe we could go riding sometime, take a trip through our forest." replied Anna.
"Oh, I'd love that!" stated Honeymaren delightfully. "I have a question, though: does Elsa really not have a horse of her own? I met your horse, but none of the others I met were Elsa's."
"Nope, she doesn't have her own personal horse. She was too scared of her magic and didn't want to risk hurting a horse, so she refused when offered one. Now she can magic herself a horse, though, so she doesn't need a real horse." answered Anna.
"Oh."
"Although..." added Anna with a look of thought. "How does Elsa even know how to ride her horse if she never learned it."
"Maybe..." commented Honeymaren. "Since she controls her magic horse, it comes naturally to her." she added, before Olaf gasped and commented...
"Maybe she doesn't know how to ride a real horse!"
Following that comment, Anna and Honeymaren both imagined Elsa falling off a real horse and chuckled.
"You may be on to something, Olaf." stated Anna. "I'm gonna ask Elsa about that. Wait, but Elsa did ride Nokk that one time, and she was fine. Hmm, maybe she's just a natural at it."
"Anyway..." commented Honeymaren. "The guy in the stables mentioned you know a guy with a reindeer."
"Yeah, Kristoff." answered Anna. "His reindeer's name is Sven. You three would probably get along great."
"Well, that's nice to know." replied Honeymaren.
"He has a home here in Arendelle." continued Anna. "He spends most of his time in the woods, though. I haven't made any plans with him, so I don't know where he'd be right now, but if I see him, I'll tell him you want to meet him."
"Thanks."
- 1:36 P.M. -
Knocking on Emory's door, Anna waited a moment before the door opened to see Emory greet her, but Anna quickly noticed Emory wore her previous spiked-up hairstyle.
"Hey Anna." greeted Emory.
"Hey." replied Anna with a grin. "Going with your original onion look, huh?" she teased, prompting a smirk from Emory.
"Like I said, I prefer this look. You just happen to have what I need to get it back."
"Well, I'll give you some hair cream that will stiffen your hair to keep when you go back." offered Anna.
"Thanks, I can just keep what I have, though; no need to give me a new jar."
"Alright then." replied Anna.
"So, is it time for our trip into town?" asked Emory.
"Yep." answered Anna, prompting Emory to walk out of her room. "Elsa said she's going to get Honeymaren, but there's something I wanted to talk to you about while we head to the front doors."
"Alright, what is it?" asked Emory as the two headed down the hall.
"I talked to Elly earlier, and she told me you said you met a real, live angel. Is that true?"
"Yeah, heh, and yes, I was alive at the time."
"Wow... well, I knew if demons were a thing, angels were too..."
"But the demons you know don't give off the 'there from Hell' vibe huh?" asked Emory.
"Yeah."
"Elly said something similar."
"If demons have their own place they live here on earth though, then do angels also have a hidden place? Elly said there's a lot that's not confirmed about them, though." stated Anna.
"Their abilities aren't confirmed, to my knowledge." answered Emory. "Which, admittedly, is likely sorely lacking. But there are some things aside from their powers that are known. Like regarding where they live, to put it simply, yes, they live in what you would call Heaven, or as they call it, The Silver City, and only they themselves can go there. It's like a much stricter Kaleen in terms of entry."
"Wow... well, given what Grandma said, Heaven is real- or rather, the afterlife is real." stated Anna. "I wonder if an angel can take a person who hasn't died to heaven. Is it a place we can even go to with our flesh-and-blood bodies?"
"Maybe, maybe not. I don't know anything about that."
"Oh! How about you use your memory powers to show me what they look like!?"
"Oh, good idea." replied Emory, before stopping and placing her right hand to her right temple and extending her upturned hand out in front of her.
Emory's arms from the elbows down turn transparent as a head-sized orb appears above Emory's left hand, and Anna looks in awe when she sees Emory's point of view of a beautifully white-winged, fair skinned, female figure, with short blonde hair standing proudly in front of her, wearing what was clearly not what Anna would assume would be angelic attire, consisting of what looked like some sort of smooth jean-like pants and a tank-top; pretty casual attire for an angel.
Emory had a good chuckle when both Anna and Emory in the memory both commented a 'Wow!' followed by Memory Emory adding...
"You look so pretty."
"Hehe, well, thank you, child." replied the Angel.
"Child?" asked Anna, looking at Emory. "How old were you in this?"
"I was an adult." answered Emory.
"Oh, so she must be hundreds of years old then." stated Anna, before they heard the memory Emory asks...
"What about your halo? Do you have one."
"I sure do." answered the Angel, before extending her right hand out and summoning a ring of light in her hand, to the once again simultaneous 'wow's' of Anna and Memory Emory, before the angel leaned close and Anna saw the angels bright blue eyes and Anna almost felt like the angel was looking at her through the memory, before the memory Emory asked...
"What are you looking at me like that for?"
The Angel smiles and comments...
"Just seeing what sort of person you are, and I like what I see. I'm not allowed to wear my halo when I'm not on duty, but I can let you hold it if you want."
"Really!?" gasped Memory Emory. "You're allowed to do that!?"
"As long as you promise not to steal it, sure. You don't want an 'Angel of God' chasing you, do you?" answered the Angel.
"Heh, no, no. I don't want that."
"Then here..." stated the angel, offering the ring of light, to which Memory Emory takes it.
"Wow, it's like I'm not even holding anything!"
"Heh, that's good."
"That's so awesome!" declared Anna. "You got to hold a real Angels halo!"
"Heh, yeah, it was pretty cool." replied Emory.
"Was it heavy?" asked Anna, Emory started to immediately answer, before stopping herself with a brief thought and smiled.
"Nope, it's light." answered Emory with a grin, prompting a brief moment of thought from Anna before she returned the smirk.
"Ok, that's good." replied Anna, before the two continued to watch the memory and saw Memory Emory's point of view briefly look to her left shoulder when the Angel had placed her hand on it, and looked to the Angels bright blue eyes again, before Emory and Anna both felt an odd sensation run through their bodies, before the Angel spoke...
"Enjoying the show, you two?"
"W-What!?" gasped Emory and Anna.
"I'm surprised you're still alive, Emory; you must have a story to tell."
"I-I, are you..." stated Emory, before the Angel smiled.
"This memory is just between me and you, though, so please don't share it."
"W-Wait!" declared Anna with a smile. "I'm actually speaking to an angel!? I have so many questions! Does Heaven as we know it-"
The angel, however, places a finger to her lips with a gentle 'Shhh', before the orb flashes white as it disappears, prompting a flinch and rapid blinking of the pair's eyes as they briefly look around in confusion, and Emory asks...
"What were we doing again?"
"Uhh, oh, the trip into town. Elsa and Honeymaren are waiting." answered Anna.
"Oh, right, let's not keep them waiting."
To be continued
