The next day, Karmi let out a moan as she reached over, expecting to find her nightstand. But when she found the open air, she opened her eyes and noticed she was on the couch. She got up and rubbed her head, wondering what happened. She then noticed the time and freaked.

"Oh, no! I'm going to be late!" Karmi quickly got up, feeling dizzy for a second as she caught herself. "Whoa... got up too fast." Then she quickly rushed to her room and tried to get dressed. But as she was going around, she noticed how something didn't look right. Looking at the mirror, she noticed how she had grown an inch or two. "What...?" She looked at herself in the mirror and was confused. "What... whatever." She then raced over and tried to put her clothes on, but came to realize that they were a size or two too small now. "Did...my pants shrink? No, that's ridiculous...maybe?"

Peter sighed as he and GoGo were relaxing in a web net in the park GoGo would normally go birdwatching. They were sighing as they never got a moment to just relax. With all of these new mutated characters showing up, it was getting more difficult for them to just have a moment alone. They of course stayed far enough to ensure they got a call in case of emergencies, but they were enjoying their time.

"This is nice," Peter said with a sigh. "Just the two of us."

"No Honey Lemon and no weird sticker party," GoGo agreed it was nice. "It feels like we don't get enough time now to be alone."

"Yeah, ever since Obake, things only got worse in the city," Peter had to agree. "Goblin, Norman, all of these crazy mutated people..."

"I miss when the only weird thing in our lives was Jackal," GoGo said. "And you."

"Hey, I resent that," Peter told her with a scoff.

GoGo only laughed at him. "Yeah. How long do you think it'll last?"

You jinxed us," Peter told her. "You jinxed us..." That was when he got a message, making him moan. "You jinxed me and my damn Parker Luck." He then pulled out his phone and saw it was Yuri. "Yuri, how's it going?"

"Not so well," Yuri told him. "For one thing...High Voltage was broken out of prison, as well as Elaina Coll."

"Scorpia?" Peter asked in shock. "Who? How?"

"We're not sure, it was a professional job. Took out our security detail, and our cameras. There isn't even any indication anyone was there outside of the empty cells."

"I'll get on it," Peter said, looking to GoGo, giving her an eye that showed he blamed her. "Anything else?"

"Well... he's back," Yuri warned him.

"Who?" Peter wonders.

"I can't get a break," Peter groaned as he walked down the halls of SFIT with GoGo. "Scorpia, High Voltage, and now I've gotta deal with Yuri's ex-husband?"

"Maybe he calmed down on heroes since you last saw him." GoGo shrugged.

"She said she had to listen to a whole argument about how she let dozens of more heroes come in after he left," Peter responded with a flat tone. "And how he is going to try and make the police force better so heroes are irr."

GoGo blew a bubble with her gum and popped it. "Okay. Never mind, that's going to be annoying to deal with. But what can he really do? Yuri's Captain."

"He went after me just for merely existing as a officer," Peter reminded GoGo. "Yuri has been using the Good Samaritan laws to keep the cops off my back, and since all the good deeds, most of them just feel like I make their jobs easier. But him... he uses the vigilantism laws to fight me. Maybe I should call my lawyer- oof!" He bumped into someone and his spider senses went off. "What..?"

A few seconds ago, Karmi was fixing her pants and trying to get them to fit right. "I gotta get new clothes. These are so tight now..." Now she looked around as if she heard her inside voice outside her body. "Wait, why is my voice in my head so loud?"

Then she looked around, wondering why it sounded like her voice was coming from when she ended up bumping into someone. "Maybe I should call my lawyer- oof!" Turned out to be Peter she bumped into her and she turned around, causing her head to buzz as she winced. "What...?"

Karmi whispered in pain, rubbing her head. "What is going on?"

"Karmi?" Peter asked, looking surprised. He remembered feeling like this during Spider-Island, the enhanced senses of the entire island. "Are... you okay?"

Karmi then felt something going on as she felt her head and saw she was sweating. "Why am I so sweaty?"

"Why are you so sweaty?" GoGo asks her.

"I... it's... I... I'm...sweaty!" Karmi didn't even explain any further as she rushed off, making her way to her labs.

"That was weird," GoGo said.

"Did she seem taller to you?" Peter wonders.

Karmi rushed and closed the door to her labs as she began to pant. "This isn't happening. This is just in my head." She then pushed off the door, only for her to be yanked back as her hand stuck to the door. "EEK!" She then stood up and began to have a panic attack as she tried to yank her hand off the door, ending up completing the task, but slipping and slamming into the table in the process, causing vials to fall and crash everywhere, in turn ending with her crying in agony. "Why is this happening to me...?"

That was when one of Fred's comics he left behind fell on her face, getting her to groan. When she picked it off her face, she saw it was a Spider-Man comic. She ended up ripping off a few pages as she saw that it was an illustration of how people believed he got his powers.

The images showed a young scrawny depiction of Peter with blonde hair for some reason. It showed he was sticking to surfaces like his bedroom door, the ceiling of his room, and many other places similar. 'Why is this happening to me?!' Karmi saw that this was looking familiar and ripped several pages with her sticky fingers. 'This isn't happening,' 'This is all in my head.'

"No... this isn't possible..." Karmi said in terror when she saw how similar this was depicted. "Wait, wait, no... This isn't possible. This can't be. There can't be more than one Spider-Man. Dr. Warren's research was destroyed with him. This can't be happening again... unless..."

That was when she recalled the spider that bit her...

High Voltage was inside Liv Amara's office with Elaina Coll. They saw there was a canister behind them with electric eels. Against the wall was Prowler. He didn't seem to be doing much and was there just for intimidating purposes. Since High Voltage was useless without their orb, and Coll didn't have her Scorpion exoskeleton to make her any sort of threat anymore.

"You are such a sweetie for getting us out of that nasty place," Barb tells Liv.

"Are you kidding? Us ladies have to stick together, right? Woo!" Liv said enthusiastically as she saw the three of them were confused as she held out her hand. "Where's my woo? Woo!"

"Woo..."

"I see a co-opportunity here," Liv tells them.

"Is that a word?" Juniper asks.

"It's not," Elaine stated.

"It is now!" Liv said with an eerie smile. "Listen, it just so happens I need a pair of specialists."

"Specialists, in what?" Juniper asks.

"Crime dancing," Liv stated.

"That's not my thing," Elaine stated.

"In my defense, you weren't really part of the plan, you just sorta slipped along," Liv admitted with a shrug. "But I can find something for you, don't worry."

"I'm sorry, honey," Barb said. "Can't help you. Our crime dancing days are over."

"I'm sorry. What?" Liv asks.

"You see, we had an incarceration realization. The criminal life," Barb stated.

"It's not normal," Juniper stated.

"Yeah, and tell you the truth, I am not looking to try and be thrown back in jail with that insane roommate of mine," Elaine stated as she stood up herself.

"Hmm. That's not going to work for me." Liv stated.

"What do you have to do with it?" Barb asks.

"Well, there's the matter of my payment." Liv dared.

"Payment? What happened to us ladies sticking together?" Barb asks.

"We woo-ed." Juniper stated.

"Please." Liv scoffed. "Woo or no woo, we both know nothing comes free. You can go off and be normals after you pay me."

"I don't take orders from you," Barb said as they got up.

"Fine. Then I'll just give the police a jingle." Liv dared as she grabbed her phone.

"Then we'll tell them that you broke us out with your little scary purple enthusiastic friend," Juniper stated as she gestured over to Prowler.

"Oh, sure." Liv scoffed as she prepared to dial. "Like they'll believe you. Who do you think donated their new canine unit?"

Juniper and Barb saw they didn't have a choice. "Fine, We'll get you your money. But we'll need our energy orb."

"And I am going to need my suit," Elaine

"Ladies, I think we can do better," Liv stated, the eels coming up behind her.

Hiro was being set up ironically enough with Yuri's daughter Megan, though he didn't know who she was, nor did anyone else know exactly who she was as Hiro was making Fred a chameleon suit at the time and he was showing that off while everyone went on patrol to search for High Voltage and Scorpia before they could go on another rampage.

They weren't going to be much of a threat to them since Yuri assured them that they still had the Scorpion exoskeleton and the High Voltage orb, meaning they wouldn't be able to conduct electricity nor would Scorpia be much of a threat since without it she is just a petty criminal.

There was an alert in the downtown area which got them to head down there as GoGo, Fred, and Teresa arrived at the scene with Peter close behind as they landed and saw the three criminals run out of the bank with bags of money. Peter shot out dozens of webbing that latched onto their feet to keep them still.

"Alright, Ladies Crime Spree is cancelled," Peter told them

"Yeah, you might as well just give it up." GoGo agreed.

Fred de-camouflaged himself in his new suit. "Yeah. Without your orb, you're just bad dancers."

High Voltage gasped when they heard that.

"They are kinda right," Elaine scoffed.

"And Elaine? Really? Didn't you learn your lesson?" Peter asks. "The more you beak out, the longer of a sentence you get?"

"Try being prison mates with White Rabbit for the better of a few months and see if you would be willing to risk getting caught to escape," Elaine stated.

"Fair point," Peter shrugged and then sighed. "Well, they're not going to surrender."

"Don't worry, this is gonna be too easy," GoGo stated as she sped ahead.

There were small chips implanted in High Voltage and Elaine that caused them to then start changing as they had a new energy source as they began to do their dancing, shooting electricity towards GoGo. Elaine smiled as her neck glowed with the same chip but with a different function. This chip began to morph her, beginning to harden her skin with a tail coming out of her back as Peter was coming in to fight her.

The tail took him by surprise as it wrapped around his neck, causing Peter to squeal as he tried to fight it off. "What the heck?! Is everyone being mutated these days?"

"Hang on, guys!" Fred was preparing to leap into battle. "Super jump!" He tried to jump but then realized what he had done. "Oh, no. Different suit."

That was when High Voltage shot out a blast that sent him flying and his suit to fritz out as Fred was jabbering inside. Scorpia then flung Peter around and slammed him into the ground with the strength of the tail. GoGo raced in to try and help him, but High Voltage shocked her disk, sending it flying back and smacking GoGo in the face, falling and skidding.

"You're right. That was too easy." Barb mocked as the two of them danced off. "Bye-bye."

"See you around, Spider!" Elaine called as she leaped and crawled up the side of the building without her suit.

"How did they do that without their orb?" GoGo asked in confusion.

"And where did Elaine get that tail?" Peter asks.

Fred stuttered, "I was hoping you'd know."

The news was showing footage of the fight as everyone met back up at SFIT with Hiro coming by, "I'll venture to say, we haven't seen the last of these dancing divas."

"See? No orb." GoGo showed them.

"That's new," Teresa said.

"How are they doing that?" Wasabi wonders.

"That electricity has to be coming from somewhere," Peni stated.

"In other news, still no developments in the disappearance of San Fransokyo Aquarium's beloved electric eels: AC and DC." The news reporter said, showing the photo of the eels.

"AC and DC?" Peter asked with a scoff. "That's original."

"Wait, wait, wait." Fred cried. "Did you just hear that? "Electric eels?"

"What about them?" Teresa asks.

"Maybe there's a connection," Fred said. "High Voltage's new power it's like an electric eel."

"Come on. Really?" Hiro asks.

"Yes, really," Fred stated. "Baymax, science me."

Baymax showed an image of an eel. "Electric eels have the ability to generate electricity to-"

"Science! Settled! Ha-ha! High Voltage is part eel!"

"Interesting, but-"

"Wrong," GoGo said.

"Yeah, Freddie." Honey Lemon said.

"That would be kind of-"

"Crazy."

"I'm sorry, aren't they literally part spiders?" Fred asked, gesturing towards Peni and Peter.

"Well, more me than her," Peter shrugged.

"Yeah, I have mostly just a psychic link with this spider," Peni admitted, gesturing to SP.

"They must be using something new as a power source." Hiro guessed.

"Eels ssss!" Fred cried as he showed some gummies, "Gum bun?"

"Oh, bunnies! So cute! I-I-I can't bring myself to eat one." Honey said as she picked one up. "Hmm. Inspiration!"

Karmi was trying to get away from whatever was going on as she raced through the schoolyard after trashing her labs. "No, there is nothing wrong with you, Karmi!" She cried to herself in her head as she brushed past a few people on the street. "There is nothing wrong with you!"

Karmi just kept running as she grabbed her head and closed her eyes, trying to block out the heightened senses.

"There was nothing wrong with that spider! It was a normal spider! You are just a normal kid, Karmi!"

That was when she missed a car coming down the street, which she only managed to avoid due to her instincts kicking in and helping her leap out of the way of the speeding car and landing safely on her feet. She panted in shock when she saw what she had just done and clapped and cheered at what happened. Karmi just panted as she rushed off to try and find the spider.

The same day, Hiro was hanging out with Megan again getting ready for the dance and the others were answering a call they got about their three escapees.

"And they were eatin' the fish whole."

Fred was sketching the High Voltage as eels with fish in their stomachs. "Whole, you say?"

"Whole." He proclaimed.

"Mm-hmm. Interesting." Fred commented.

"Baymax, can you scan for High Voltage?" GoGo asks.

"Scanning now," Baymax said. "I am unable to locate High Voltage."

"Scan jammer?" Teresa wonders.

"I am not detecting any scan interference," Baymax said.

Fred then reappeared. "Which brings us back to my eel theory."

GoGo sighed. "Do we have to?"

"Yes! Did you hear what the man said? They were eating fish!" Feed stated.

"So?" Teresa asks.

"Whole!" He reminded her.

"I know," GoGo said, giving a small push. " But there has to be a less stupid explanation."

"No, it has to be something like Fred said," Peter said with a sigh. "Jackal turned himself into a literal jackal. Turning the city into giant spiders. Connors turned himself into a giant lizard. So, there can be a chance someone got ahold of their research. Or those vials Connors was studying. Coll did have an actual scorpion tail. If we don't do something... this could get worse."

"I'm liking the eel theory."

Fred gave him a hug. "And I like you."

That was when they got an alert on their phones. High Voltage was at the dance.

"Look, Mama! My first non-crime dance." Juniper said as she was dancing with some random guy. "I'm a normal girl!"

Barb took out a camera. "Smile, baby!"

That was when the others came in with Baymax carrying Honey and Wasabi, GoGo speeding in, Peter swinging down, Peni slamming into the ground in the SP//DR, and Teresa came flying and drew her tasers. Fred was the last as he reappeared wearing the chameleon suit.

"Party's over," Fred said.

"You're coming with us," Teresa said.

"Wow."

"Look, It's Big Hero 9!"

"Why? I'm not doin' anything." Barb said. "Just enjoying the dance."

"A high school dance?" Wasabi asks. "Little weird."

"Leave us alone," Juniper said. "We are not bothering anybody."

"That's true. But you did break out of jail and go on a crime spree." Honey said.

"And where is Scorpia?" Peter asks.

"Eh, she ditched us," Juniper shrugged.

GoGo blew a bubble as she shrugged. "Sounds like her."

"You guys still committed crimes and escaped prison," Teresa told them.

"That's in the past," Barb said.

"We're reformed," Juniper said.

"Uh-hu." Peter crossed his arms.

"Don't believe us?" Barb shocked the lights to make a spotlight. "There comes a time When a life of crime Dancin' is left behind."

"They're singing," Peni was confused.

"And where is that music coming from?" Peter asked, looking around the room. "Why do I feel like I've asked that before?"

"Oh Well, Mama's made up her mind We're makin' a change I got a feeling It's gonna be strange not stealing your money!" She took someone's money and tossed it.

"Seriously?" GoGo asks.

"We did our time, well, mostly. We're gonna shine Look closely over here-"

"Mama!"

"Not now, Juniper, this is Mama's solo." Barb stopped her. "I gave you everything I could. Through a larcenous childhood. But now it's understood we're gonna go good We're gonna go good! We're gonna go good!"

Wasabi was shaking his hips. "Sorry. It's catchy."

"A change of heart and a change of pace A fresh new start, gonna show our face In public!" Barb sang as everyone was cheering. "We're makin' a change, We're gonna go straight We're stayin' out late, so before you judge us!" GoGo got ready to fight when Barb raised her hand. "Wait... Big finish! We're gonna go good, good, good We're gonna go good, so good We're gonna be great Great We are great!"

"Wow, that sounded great."

That was when the crowd gasped and backed away in terror. What they saw was High voltage turning into... fish? They looked like... for the lack of a better word... eels.

"What's happening? Why don't they love us?" Juniper asked as both gasped at one another.

"Your face!" They both pointed at one another in terror.

"No, no, no!"

That was when their electricity began crackling. They shot off energy from their bodies rather than their hands this time. Everyone began to run in terror as the two of them were losing control of their powers.

"Look at us! We're freaks!" Juniper cried.

"Calm down, honey," Barb said. "It's not that bad."

"It kind of is!" Wasabi said. That angered High Voltage as they shot blasts towards him. "Should not have said that." They shocked his gauntlets, causing him to wince. "Oh! hot, hot, hot!"

Peter quickly shot two streams of webbing which grabbed them, but their bodies were now living electricity, sending a current back toward Peter and destroying his web shooter in the process.

GoGo came in speeding. "I'm so over these two."

GoGo shot out a disk, which they used the electricity to block and send a blast their way. GoGo leaped to try and strike again but a blast was sent her way. Teresa flew uo and grabbed her, using her wings to shield them from the blast. But sending them toppling in the process.

"Guys, get behind me." Honey Lemon said as they did so.

Honey Lemon used her purse to create a new chemical creation that turned into a gummy bunny around her as a shield when High Voltage struck. "I told you I love gummy bunnies!"

That was when the roof caved in and they looked up as something came crashing into the room. The giant tail gave away it was Scorpia, but what shocked them most was the fact she had mutated as well. Her legs have now been attached to a ginormous body and multiplied to six, three legs on each side, and one of her hands has been replaced by a claw.

"What's the matter, Big Hero 9? Scared?" Scorpia mocked.

Scorpia rushed at them as Peter quickly leaped and kicked Scorpia backward. "More like 'disturbed'."

"Wow. They really leveled up." Fred commented. "Phase two."

"Tell me you have an idea," GoGo told Hiro.

"I don't know how long I can hold them off. They're too powerful." Honey warned.

"And disturbing," Teresa added.

"Fred, ready to use those new powers you were talking about?" Hiro asks.

"Oh, yeah," Fred stated. "So ready. Chameleo-flage. Just something I'm working on. We can talk about it later, if I say it or not. It's up to you guys."

"Peni, deal with the Scorpia lady, hold her back," Peter told his sister.

"On it!" Peni charged in, the SP/DR slamming into the ginormous scorpion as she was sent flying into the tables. "Come on, that all you've got?"

"I really missed this," Barb said.

"So did I," Juniper said. "I feel more powerful than ever. Who cares if we look like fish?"

They rushed in and sent a giant blast that sent them flying.

"Why would we want to give this up for normal lives?" Juniper asks.

"I don't know! I'm having so much fun!" Barb stated.

"Me too!" Fred cried as he shot out his suit's tongue to wrap the two of them up. "Gotcha!"

"Not quite," Barb said, shooting a blast at the ceiling to set off the sprinklers.

"Huh?"

"Nice try, though." Juniper mocked as she sent a shock up the tongue.

"No, no, no, no!" Fred gasped as he tried to get the tongue off. It only ended with the two of them literally slithering away. "Total eel move."

Peni was holding her own against Scorpia when the sprinklers went off, causing the robot suit to begin to slip, giving Scorpia an edge as she swiped her tail and crashed SP//DR, giving her a chance to escape.

"Peni? You good?" Peter asked as he ran over with Teresa.

Peni opened the mech and sighed. "I'm good. I'm okay.

"Some kind of electric eel mutation." GoGo sighed as she admitted defeat. "Fine. Yes. Fred was right. Let's move on."

"There's someone out there doing this crazy bio-engineering," Hiro said as he sampled some of the slime. "Did Jackal have help?

"Outside of Obake? No," Peter stated. "They're both gone, and the only other person who might know about their research is Dr. Connors and maybe Karmi."

"Dr. Connors is currently a giant lizard..." Teresa said.

"And I doubt that Karmi is behind this," Peter scoffed. "Yet again... she was acting weird today."

"First we saw it with Orso Knox. And now High Voltage?" Honey asks.

"Aah! Megan!" Hiro ran out screaming.

"Hiro, can you believe what just happened?" Megan asked. "Super-villains, at a high school dance. This is not normal."

"Ah, for you, maybe." Hiro shrugged.

"What?" Karmi asked.

"Who can say what's normal, right?" Hiro asked as sirens blared.

The cops stopped ahead of them as Yuri stepped out with someone familiar to Peter.

"Megan, are you all right?" Diego asked.

"I'm fine, Dad," Megan promised.

"Uh, Dad?" Hiro was shocked to hear.

"Get statements," Yuri told the officers.

"So, when you said your dad had the police force looking for you, you-"

"He ordered it," Megan explained. "Dad, everything's okay. Big Hero 9 was here."

Diego scoffs. "Superheroes."

"Don't start this again," Yuri demanded him. Then she looked to Hiro. "You look familiar"

"Mom, this is Hiro," Megan said.

"Right, Diego mentioned you... your aunt runs the Lucky Cat." Yuri said as she shook his hand. "Nice to meet you, Hiro."

"Uh, nice to meet you, too." Hiro chuckled since they technically already met. "Does he not like superheroes?"

"It's a long and annoying story," Yuri stated as she looked over to Diego. "Working in my city means we work with Good Samaritans. Not against."

"We'll see," Diego scoffed.

Megan sighed as she looked away as if she was embarrassed. "They've been like this for years..."

Hiro was genuinely getting more confused.

"Ms. Amara, I was hoping to catch..." Michael Morbius was saying this when he walked into her office unannounced. He was shocked when he saw Liv standing over a tank with the mutated High Voltage in the tank. "Wait... isn't that...?"

Liv sighed when she saw him. "Michael... you really should have knocked."

Then her assistant came out of nowhere and tackled the doctor, holding a syringe with a bat photo on the side. He injected Morbius with the serum, causing him to panic.

"It's going to be heartbreaking to reveal your unorthodox experiments have left you... disfigured." Liv said as she watched Michael panic and throw her assistant and run out the window and fall.
