A/N: Before we start, I would like to ask something that is a genuine question to all of my readers. Have I ever once, portrayed Rias as being lesser than members of the Sins after Trigon's invasion? Reason I am bringing this up, is because I have gotten some questions on why she is so strong. Let me just go over some of Rias' showings of power since after Trigon's invasion. A minor one, but still, Rias easily dominated three Fallen Angels without any effort on her part. Rias was confident she could take on Raiser and his entire peerage by herself. And backing the previous statement up, Rias was able to go toe-to-toe with Kokabiel a Fallen Angel leader, and mainly suffered injuries in that fight because Kokabiel targeted Issei and Asia causing Rias to jump in to save them. She had Shalba Beelzebub question the power of her aura, implying she was relatively close if not as strong as him. When Issei started his Juggernaut rampage, before any of the Sins arrived, Rias was stated to be the only one able to fight him. In the Loki arc, Rias had Angrboda, a God, mother of all monsters run away from her. Rias also destroyed a large chunk from a meteorite said to be half the size of Earth's moon. Rias defeated Sona with relatively low/medium difficulty, and erased the entire Rating Game Dimension. Rias also effortlessly killed a member of the Hero Faction. And in the previous chapter, she now defeated two members of the Sins that being Kuroka and Eto. Anyway, I don't want to drag this A/N any longer, so I will finish up by saying this. Rias is someone that is considered a prodigy. And she was naturally as strong as High-Class devils without any excessive type of training outside from basic demonic power control. Her potential, is supposed to rival that of Sirzechs Lucifer in this story. And in this story, Sirzechs is a multiversal level threat. So, compared to what her full potential looks like, what she has achieved now is nothing in comparison. If you have problems with this, then it is fine, feel free to express them. But this is how it is going to be. With that out of the way, onto the chapter.
Chapter 44: Rating Game Finale! Part 2!
Taking a breather, Rias Gremory let her Bishop, Asia heal what damage was left over from her fight with Kuroka and Eto. Rias smiled at the former blond nun with gratitude, as she felt back at a 100% again. Fully healed, and her stamina restored Rias prepared to advance on Itachi's castle. But first, they had one more crucial obstacle to overcome. Reaching for her commlink, Rias made contact with her peerage. "Akeno… me and Asia are on our way to you and Rossweisse. How are you holding up against Raven?"
Meanwhile in the courtyard, Akeno was blown back by an intense explosion of darkness as Raven tore down the barrier surrounding them. "Not that great honestly… Rachel-chan is not here to play around. But so far, it looks like she is managing to restrain herself." Akeno commented as she looked to the center of the battlefield.
Raven's body emitting a chilling dark aura, yet it felt calm and steady. Raven was utilizing the best she could manage of her power without her father's influence taking over. And why that was crazy, was because even like this Raven was more than enough of a match against both Akeno and Rossweisse. The former Valkyrie was performing better than Akeno however, utilizing a series of spells to bombard Raven from a distance, and then zooming up at light speed to get into close quarters combat.
Raven erected a barrier of darkness around herself, as Rossweisse pummeled her fist towards her. Raven gasped as the sheer weight of Rossweisse's punch shattered the barrier. Rossweisse was quite the heavy hitter, and as a battle maiden she was very skilled and experienced in the art of combat. Out of Rias' entire peerage, Rossweisse was their most skilled fighter and magician. The weight of her fists was strong enough to rival that of Bob, and her magic skills rivaling that of both Kuroka and Raven. She wasn't the former attendant/bodyguard of the Aesir All-Father, Odin, for nothing.
As Raven created another barrier, Rossweisse swung her right leg up in a high kick to break the barrier, and bringing it back down in a swift motion to deal a drop kick into Raven. Raven gasped as she was smacked crashing down into the ground creating a large dent. Rossweisse let out a war cry as she jumped down at Raven with her dominant fist raised. Raven slipped into her own shadow, and through the ground itself as Rossweisse smacked her fist down creating a giant crater that nearly had the nearby castle itself collapse. "Heh, sneaky little witch." Rossweisse smirked, while Raven emerged out from the ground behind Rossweisse.
Cloaking her fist in a fiery golden aura, Rossweisse let out another war cry as she spun around to punch tendrils of darkness as Raven encased her within a cocoon of darkness. Raven raised her arms, her hands vibrating, shaking as she shrunk the cocoon in an attempt to strangle the fight out of Rossweisse. But then, a mighty thunder bolt rained down from the sky cracking the cocoon around Rossweisse. And the shockwave of the blast had Raven fly backwards a few feet.
The cocoon then shattered as Rossweisse broke free, muscles bulging around her arms and thighs as she stretched them out to break free. "Akeno is right… Rachel here won't go down easily. Even the hit I landed on her has already healed…" Rossweisse clicked her tongue in frustration.
Rias had a serious look on her face. "I figured as much… this might be our toughest battle yet. Rachel with her hidden powers surpasses all of the other Sins… even Itachi. But at the very least… I doubt Rachel will let things go that far." Rias, like everyone else knew Raven was hiding a great deal of power, but also knew because that power was under her father's influence, that Raven would never willingly use it unless she was pushed to the brink.
Rias held her right hand to her chin, as she began thinking of a battle plan. They needed to defeat Raven, without physically or mentally pushing her too far. They needed to knock her out swiftly if they would have any chances of winning. Without the force of Trigon's power, Raven physical body was as vulnerable as any other Devil to physical damage. A hard enough hit to the head, that would knock her out would be the most efficient way to beat Raven. 'We need to hit her hard enough to bypass her defenses… and knock her out at the same time. Rossweisse and Issei are our two heavy hitters… but I don't think even they would be enough to manage that. Maybe if I use my big finisher… No, even its destructive power is not enough to knock Raven out instantly. Unless…' Rias nodded as she had a plan ready.
"Issei, I need you to make your way to the courtyard and help us against Rachel. And make sure to prepare your Transfer ability, boost up as much as you can, and give that power to me. I will use my Extinguished Star technique to try and take Rachel out instantly. Akeno and Rossweisse, when I use my Extinguished Star, I need the two of you to use your strongest long-range attack as well. We only have one chance at this. Got it?" Rias asked through the commlink.
"Yes, Buchou!" She was met with enthusiastic cheers of her peerage members, bringing a smile to her face.
"Good. Now, Yuuto, Gasper, Xenovia and Koneko. I would like to have you there as well… but that's probably not happening without attracting anymore Sins to aid Rachel in battle. I need you all to get the attention of Damian and Jack." Rias instructed, but she wasn't done as with a strict tone she instructed them on the following. "Knowing Damian and Jack, they will stick closely together. If either one of your teams encounter them, the other team needs to rush in to help. If all four of you team up, you might have a chance to take down Damian and Jack. Is that understood?"
"Roger." Koneko replied through the commlink as she and Xenovia started running around the castle making sure they were noticeable for Damian and Jack to find.
"As you command, Buchou." Kiba and Gasper sneakily made their way to the backyard of Itachi's castle. Whooshing past a series of bushes and stone pillars, trying to remain hidden. "Gasper-kun, do you see anything?" Kiba looked to the Daywalker Vampire hybrid.
Gasper's eyes were glowing, and he had a series of bats flying around the castle. "What looks to be a series of security cameras… We're in the clear of them for now. There are a few traps around the back entrance to the castle. I see a secret entrance at the roof leading probably to a creepy attic. Might be our best entry point." Kiba nodded in responds as they had their course set. Gasper moving around in the form of his bats, while Kiba zoomed around at super speed. Not noticing a small string laying on the ground as Kiba stomped onto it, and moved forward.
A series of strings were lead back all the way into the inside of the castle. All the way into the security room, where Jack and Damian were watching the security cameras. "These cameras are crap…" Jack groaned in mild annoyance as she swapped between cameras on a small screen.
"Don't worry, I've got it covered." Damian yawned as he took a moment to rest by leaning back in his seat. Although his rest was cut short, as his left index finger twitched. "Hmm? Speedy Gonzales seems to be running around our backyard." Damian smirked, while Jack ended up on a camera that caught the sight of a single bat.
"Dracula seems to be paying our roof a visit~" Jack playfully added, sharpening her blade as the two shared a smirk and vanished out of sight.
Kiba had followed Gasper's direction, following the flight path of his bats. Kiba ran up alongside the wall of the castle, making it to the rooftop. And Gasper manifested into his full form as the bats all gathered into a singular spot. "Alright, we made it." As Kiba reaches for the window to the attic, Gasper gasps and pushes Kiba aside as a dagger comes flying by their heads.
Gasper quickly turns to the direction it was tossed from, and focused his gaze onto the attacker. Straining himself, Gasper froze several flying daggers midair before they could reach them. "Nicely done, Gasper-kun." Kiba complimented, as he summoned his Sword of Betrayer Balance Breaker, and with one swing deflected the daggers frozen in time.
"Wow, Vampire senses are on another level compared to Devils, huh?" Damian and Jack both came dropping in, Gasper flinched and took a few steps backwards. While Kiba steeled his gaze and raised his sword.
"I must say, I didn't expect both of you to come and confront us like this." Kiba had hoped that he would only have to at least face one of them. It would be preferable; he was confident he could hold his own against Damian or Jack in a one-on-one fight. But two of them at once, with an unexperienced fighter like Gasper to back him up didn't exactly fill him with confidence.
"Well, we've kind of suffered a few loses already. Thought it was best for us to gain some points of our own and not take any chances~" Damian smirked as with a flick of his wrist, his strings tore off several tiles on the roof and shot them off like bullets at Kiba and Gasper. Gasper froze a good chunk of the tiles in time, while Kiba moved quick to deflect the rest with his sword.
Kiba gasped as Jack suddenly appeared amidst the flying roof tiles, she moved quicker than Kiba. Thrusting her dagger forward, Jack came to a surprising halt. "Huh?" The shocked Jack looked to the side, seeing Gasper's hand grabbing firmly onto her wrist. The two tiny warriors stared at each other, Jack with a frightening scowl, and Gasper with tears in his bright colored eyes, yet steeled with determination.
"I-I… I…" Gasper stuttered, lacking the courage to speak clearly.
"Ugh!" Jack flinched in annoyance as Gasper's grip tightened, then to her surprise Gasper began bending her arm sideways. 'What the hell? This girly vampire boy… where did this strength come from?!' Granted Jack was physically the weakest of the sins in terms of brute strength, but she hadn't expected a femboy like Gasper to be able to bend her arm like this.
"I-I….!" Gasper raised his voice, and looked with determination. "I am a man! And I am your opponent!" Gasper declared in the loudest voice anyone had ever heard him speak. His Vampiric strength overwhelming Jack as she was pushed back.
"Ho?" Damian hummed, latching strings onto Gasper to help Jack out. "Judging by his muscle density… damn Vampiric strength is no joke, huh? Careful Jack, a punch from Gasper might hurt you." Kiba rushed in, and slashed his sword at Damian's strings freeing Gasper from his hold.
"Not so fast! I will be your opponent, Damian-san!" Kiba declared as he summoned forth a second sword to his left hand. One of the blades he had claimed from the dead Hero Faction member, Siegfried, Nothung, a blade renowned for its sharpness. Kiba slashed Nothung towards Damian, who was forced to backflip as the sharpness of the blade carved through the roof in a crescent moon pattern.
Damian flinched as a cut appeared on his cheek and blood dripped down to his chin. "… Damn. Lucky you pretty boy, seems the battle with the Hero Faction gave you quite the arsenal." Damian noted, Kiba throughout the number of battles they had fought had grown stronger. Strong enough to fight back against one of the Sins. "But I wouldn't get too comfortable…" Damian raised his arms, as a series of strings emerged out from his fingertips.
Jack grunted, as she kicked Gasper in the chest, using her momentum she also kicked Gasper's chin. The sharp kick of her heel had Gasper cry out in pain, as he recoiled backwards. Jack was still faster, and way more experienced in combat than he was. Rushing forward Jack was just about to finish off Gasper, knowing his Sacred Gear made him problematic.
But once again, Jack is foiled as coming raining down was a giant blade. Jack was forced to flip herself over the blade, as it swung towards her. Xenovia had arrived to Gasper's rescue. Her Ex-Durandal radiating with great power as Jack was forced to take a few leaps backwards to gain some distance. "The cavalry has arrived~" Xenovia cheekily smirked.
Leaping over Xenovia, was young Koneko, flying over towards Damian with a drop kick. As Damian was about to react, his attention was diverted as his face flushed a little as from this angle he got a peak under Koneko's skirt. "S-Striped panties!" Damian's perverted personality came out, making him let his guard down, as the embarrassed Koneko kneed him straight in the face. "Urgh!" Damian groaned as he was launched backwards from Koneko's Rook strength.
Damian's body skids across the roof, dragging up a series of tiles. "Ugh…" Damian groaned reaching up to his bloodied and broken nose. "Totally worth it… Eek!" Damian yelped in surprise as a dagger stabbed next to his face.
"Focus, idiot." Jack scolded, looking pissed off at Damian, who sheepishly rubbed the back of his head with an awkward smirk on his face.
"Sorry, but I was caught off guard, okay? Won't happen again, I swear~" Damian jumped up, as he pulled his nose back into place. "That's better… Now, let us continue." Staring down their new opponents, Jack and Damian faced off the four Gremory members Kiba, Xenovia, Koneko and Gasper.
Kiba looked to Xenovia and mumbled. "How do you want to do this?"
"I say, you and Koneko take on Damian. Me and Gasper will take on Jack." Xenovia replied as she readied her blade for combat. Xenovia was laser focused on Jack, knowing the Sin of Wrath's speed was greater than her own, and still remembering their first encounter. Xenovia had looked forward to a rematch against Jack, especially now that she felt confident in her skills with Ex-Durandal's added abilities.
Kiba gave a silent nod, as he stared down Damian. With Koneko-chan as his backup, Kiba felt at ease as the two of them had fought together for a long time. But still, Kiba understood the dangers each of the Sins posed. Although Damian and Jack at the moment, were probably two of the weaker Sins, each one of them was powerful enough to fight a Maou level fighter like Creuserey Asmodeus. And together with most of the Sins Jack and Damian also had fought Shalba Beelzebub. Even though Kiba and Xenovia had both gotten considerably stronger with their new weapons, Kiba knew odds were most if not all of them weren't going to make it past this battle. But at the very least, Kiba would try and take either Jack or Damian down with him. "Koneko-chan, remember stick to physical attacks. Destructive and magical attacks will just end up getting absorbed through Damian's strings unless they are more than double his own power."
"I know." Koneko tightened her gloves and raised her fists. She would mainly need to stick to hand-to-hand combat, with a mix of Senjutsu in each hit. While Kiba stood ready with his dual wield of his Sword of Betrayer and Nothung.
"Yare, yare…" Damian flicked his glasses, the lenses reflecting rays of light. 'I'm not about to take these kids lightly. Koneko-chan's abilities may not be as refined as Kuroka's, but as she proved against Bob, she's still a tough cookie. And Yuuto… Well, if he just had his Balance Breaker, I wouldn't be too worried. But with his now expanded arsenal of weapons, he got from that Siegfried fella will prove to be troublesome. He's also got a decent head on his shoulders, if I'm not careful he might outplay me with his speed and wits. Already, Prince charming is making sure to use his least destructive weapons to prevent me from absorbing too much power. And I'm even in the same predicament as Bob was, here I can't use Promotion to buff up my speed, strength or durability.' Damian adopted a grin on his face, as the strings around his finger tips began expanding, and wrapping themselves around Damian's body. Encasing him in a Scale Mail like armor. "I'm not going to pull any punches, kay kids~?" In his dominant arm, Damian formed a spear made of strings, and in his left a shield.
Dragging his right leg backwards, Damian rockets forward as he takes a giant leap. Swiftly Damian deals a knee strike to Koneko's chin, and slams Kiba's face with his shield. Blood escaped Koneko's lips as she looked stun locked, while Kiba's nose broke upon impact with Damian's shield as his blood sprayed out.
Koneko regained herself just in time to react, as she narrowly dodged a thrust from Damian's spear. The spear tearing at her uniform's shoulder. 'Damian doesn't hit as hard as Bob… but he is faster.' Koneko braced herself, as she held her arms up to block a kick from Damian. The kick launched the young nekomata flying backwards.
Kiba acted and slashed the Nothung blade up at Damian, who quickly held his shield up to block off the blade. "Ugh!" Damian grunted, as Kiba's blade slashed through his shield like a hot knife through butter. A slash appeared diagonally up Damian's arm, as his shield dissolved into a series of strings.
Damian took a swift retreat and jumped backwards, analyzing his injury. The cut was nearly deep enough to reach his bone, his blood ran like a river down his forearm. "That blade, Nothung was it? Lives up to its sharpness." Damian moved his strings, stitching up his gashing wound on his arm. His strings crudely reattached his flesh, veins and everything. 'Lucky me it's not a holy sword…' Damian sweated underneath the helm of his armor, as he gazed at Kiba.
Then suddenly, Koneko leapt up in a summersault over Kiba, using her teammate as momentum to jump towards Damian with her fists encased in the blue Senjutsu flames. Damian flinched, and thrusted his spear forward to intercept. But quickly found the course of his spear redirected as Kiba sped up ahead to clash his blade against the spear.
Damian steeled himself and elbowed Kiba in the face knocking the Knight off balance as he dealt a swift kick to him. Then his focus returned to Koneko, although the nekomata was already on him. Driving her fist hard into Damian's gut. Damian lightly flinched, as Koneko's punch pushed him backwards. "Heh, nice try~" Damian smirked as his armor absorbed all of the impact from Koneko's fists.
"Suck it." Koneko glared at him, and suddenly dealt weak soft hit to Damian's upper deltoid.
"Ugh!" Damian's face twisted in agony, as the vibrant energy of Senjutsu vibrated through his string armor and dealt deadly after effects to Damian. Shooting his arm out, Damian grabbed Koneko by her hair and slammed her face into the roof with such force that she was sent plummeting a series of floors down.
Shakingly, Damian fell to one knee as he clutched his good arm on his deltoid where Koneko had hit. "Clever little brat… Dammit Kuroka, did you have to teach her that?" That hit was weak as to make sure that Damian's armor absorbed no extra power from the impact. But simultaneously carried the nature energy of Senjutsu, like air it flowed through Damian's armor and into his flesh, tearing apart and killing cells at the target of impact. 'Bob tanked these hits too? Damn, what a trooper.' Damian snickered as he stood back up. His left arm was burning up as a side effect of Koneko's attack. 'I can still move it well enough, but if I take more hits like that I will be in deep trouble.'
Koneko shot up through the roof, two white cat tails now emerging out from her lower back, her cat ears perked up, and her eyes gaining black slits like a cat. Rushing forward Koneko aimed for a second light hit, but Damian easily dodged the next blow by stepping to the side. And once Koneko was next to him, Damian returned with an elbow charge that sent her flying. "Too slow." Damian speed blitzed towards Koneko, the strings on his right arm swelled up like a balloon as Damian gathered a huge amount of power. "Now, goodbye." His arm shot forward at intense speed towards Koneko, but his fist instead connected with a blade.
"I'm still here!" Kiba announced, having swapped out Nothung for Tyrfing, the demonic blade of Destruction. Meeting Damian's destructive punch, with the destructive force of Tyrfing blew a large hole into the roof of the castle and rocked the entire Rating Game Dimension.
Kiba skidded out from the smoke of the explosion, holding Koneko's body under his left arm. Damian came out from the other side of the smoke. Damian's armor had protected him from the blast, his armor burning orange as it had absorbed the destructive force of the blast. While Kiba had burns over his body, and his face groaning in pain. Kiba had been willing to risk injury to keep Koneko in the game, without a doubt her power was useful to keep in this battle. "Not a bad move… But not that smart either." Damian commented, as he unleashed a giant wave of pressure from the recently absorbed power.
"Crap." Kiba cussed, as he prepared to run for it if needed.
"Reverse Flow: Fire Rush!" Fire exploded out from the gaps of Damian's armor, as he rocketed forward at Kiba and Koneko. Flames building up on his fists in an aim to crush the two Gremory members in one go.
Quickly using Sword Birth, Kiba created a wall of blades between them, yet Damian burned right through them like a flaming cannonball. As he reached the other side, he found Kiba pulling out a new sword. "Dainsleif! Frost Wall!" Slashing the ice demonic blade, Kiba generated a giant wall of ice between them.
Damian broke through the ice wall like a freight train, so Kiba jumped backwards still carrying Koneko under his left arm. Kiba swung his right arm with Dainsleif around violently, creating giant slashes of ice that hit Damian's armor in an attempt to cool him off.
"Flip me over." Koneko instructed as the way Kiba held her, she had her back turned to Damian. Kiba did as told, and Koneko turned to face the incoming Damian. Puffing her cheeks, Koneko spat out a small ball of blue Senjutsu fire. The charging Damian gasped as through the ice slashes; he saw the ball of blue fire.
Koneko might not be fast enough on her own to land the blows onto Damian, but with Kiba's help in distracting him she stealthily was able to deal the same blow she had done to Bob in their final clash. The ball of blue fire hit Damian square in the chest, the flames vibrating through his armor.
"Gakh!" Damian hurled up blood that escaped through the gaps of his helm. Yet he endured, and charged forward an intense speed. Strings shot out from his armor, and tore apart the terrain like crackling whips. With a wave of his dominant arm, Damian whipped Kiba and Koneko with his strings leaving bloodied red marks on their faces. Damian then swung his fist down, unleashing a wide-ranged destructive blast of fire from his armor. The fire spread, and blew Kiba and Koneko away, but the full force of the explosion never reached them.
Looking ahead, Kiba and Koneko gasped as they saw the explosion frozen in time before them like a painting. Gasper had stepped forward, using his Sacred Gear to freeze the blast wave in time for Kiba and Koneko to make an escape.
Not wasting this given chance, Kiba grabs Koneko and swiftly moves out of the way from the blast as Gasper releases it from his Sacred Gear's hold. "Hey Jack! Think you can keep an eye on your own opponents?!" Damian shouted at his comrade.
Across the roof, Jack moved in retreat whilst holding off the destructive swings of Xenovia's Ex-Durandal. Using the power of Excalibur Rapidly, Xenovia was able to nearly match Jack's speed. Although Jack was still a tad faster, Xenovia's destructive power made it harder for Jack to break through and land a hit on Xenovia. "Shut it!" Jack spat at Damian, as she created several floating blades out of thin air. "Rebellion!" Jack unleashed the rain of blades down onto Xenovia, who quickly moved to defend herself.
"Ex-Durandal, activate Excalibur core, Destruction!" With one wave of her blade, a giant blast wave of destruction blew through the air and erased Jack's rain of blades. But this left a gap, as Jack swiftly speed blitzes Xenovia having dealt a double-slash strike into her with dual daggers, one oozing of divinity and one in a venomous dark green.
"Gah!" Xenovia gasped as her defenses had been broken through, Jack had swiftly like an assassin exploited the narrow opening left in Xenovia's guard. "Agh… Agh…" Blue veins became visible on Xenovia's skin. Her body having gone numb and her throat unable to even bring out any words of warning for her comrades.
"Xenovia-!" Kiba calls out for his comrade, but is quickly snapped to the reality of the battle as Jack speed blitzed them. Having slashed Koneko with the ominous dark green oozing dagger of hers. And slashed Kiba's arm with the divine golden one.
"Nice one." Damian smirked as he targeted Koneko, dealing a quick heavy blow to her gut that had her gasping for air.
"Koneko-chan!" Kiba was visibly sweating, the divine energy poisoning his arm and making it harder for him to move it.
Koneko much like Xenovia, had blue veins visible on her skin. And was struggling to breathe. Jack stood over her, flicking around her dual daggers. "Rebellion: Divine Dagger & Viper's Fang."
Koneko had been poisoned, her Nekomata senses were disturbed and left unable to focus. Her vison blurry, seeing at least ten other Damian and Jack's. Her Youkai senses were nullified, and she couldn't move. Xenovia had it worse, as she experienced the poison, as well as the deadly divine light that burnt her body.
"Bob was too softhearted against you two. I, know how to cause a lethal injury to an opponent without killing them. Perfect for such Rating Games." Jack was by far the physically weakest of the Sins, but she was still the fastest and the one with the deadliest arsenal of weapons.
"Don't…!" Xenovia grunted, as she forced herself to stand, lifting up her Ex-Durandal that exploded with the sheer raw power of destruction and light. "Bob didn't take us on lightly! Let me show you… a portion of the power he faced from us and Issei!" Flexing every muscle in her body, Xenovia closed up the bleeding slashes on her body, and leapt towards Damian and Jack.
"Heh, fool." Damian stepped forward, ready to tank the entirety of Xenovia's destructive attack. But suddenly, found himself elsewhere. "Wh-What?!" Damian gasped, seeing Koneko had latched onto him and pushed him off the roof with her. "How?!" Looking up Damian noticed a slight out of breath Gasper, he had stopped time for everyone but Koneko and the nekomata had taken advantage of the opportunity to push Damian away.
Xenovia roared as she swung her blade down onto Jack, the Sitri Knight gasped in fright at the mighty light of destruction. And swiftly made a retreat, as Xenovia unleashed a giant explosive force that slashed the entire castle in half.
Itachi from his throne room looked up at the ceiling with a bored face as rubble came falling down. Harry's sheer aura obliterating any fallen rubble before it could hit either of them. "Hmm, smart tactic." Harry praised the Gremory group.
"Rias Gremory, one Rook retired, eliminated by Damian. Itachi Sitri gains 5 points." Esdeath followed up with the announcement.
On the ground level of the castle, Damian looked at the fading away Koneko laying atop of his chest. With a sigh, Damian patted the fading Nekomata's head. "You got a good head on your shoulders. I see who inherited the brains in your family." Damian laughed to himself, while Kuroka from the medical ward hissed at the image of Damian on the screen.
Xenovia panted as she looked forward, seeing an out of breath Jack at the edge of the destroyed half of the castle. Her attack had missed, but she had spooked the Sitri Knight. "Heh, see?" Xenovia collapsed onto one knee, as the poison was working its way through her system.
"… Guess Bob did have his hands full." Jack in her own way acknowledged the collected power of the Gremory group. By all means, the Sins in total outclassed them, but they were still not to be taken lightly. "Now, fade away already." Jack threw a dagger towards the downed Xenovia, but that dagger suddenly froze in time. "Tch, damn vampire femboy." Glaring sideways, Jack had the trembling Gasper flinch in fear.
"Ex-Durandal, activate Excalibur core, Blessing." Xenovia's body was surrounded by a golden glow, and her once pale face regained its color as the poison in her system was eliminated.
"What?" Jack flinched seeing Xenovia standing on her own two feet again.
"I'm not done yet, Jack…" Xenovia declared with a smile. Through the powers of Blessing, Xenovia was able to cure herself of any poison with the holy power of the blade. But at the same time, it acted as a double-edged sword, as the holy aura burnt at her Devil body like fire. Enduring it, Xenovia stood tall ready to continue the battle.
Damian came crashlanding onto the roof next to Jack. "Heh, well damn. I'm impressed. Even if it was only a little, that blast of holy power eliminated your poison completely from her system."
"… Let's finish them off quickly." Jack glared at Xenovia, having fully acknowledged her as a worthy opponent.
Kiba rushed to Xenovia's side, his left arm tied up with pieces of cloth from his own torn shirt, leaving him shirtless for all to see. "We won't go down that easily." Kiba announced as Gasper manifested himself next to Kiba from a flock of bats.
In the audience, Murayama and Katase both swooned at seeing Kiba without his shirt on and his washboard abs. "Kiba-kun is the coolest!" The two girls cheered.
Kiba taking a deep breath, summoned forth two blades. Nothung which he held in his right hand, and Dainsleif that he held in his mouth. Damian seeing their determination smiled. "Heh, nice spirit boys and girls. But without Koneko here, you can't bypass my armor any more. And even with that sharp demonic sword of yours, I can still prevent you from cutting deep enough to do any serious damage. Plus, with Jack here on my side, you won't get the chance to sneak attack me either. All three of you, are getting eliminated here and now." Damian declared.
Kiba steeled his gaze, and even if he knew Damian might be right. He wouldn't let that determine the results of this battle. He could still fight! Moving in quickly, Kiba rushed at the two Sins.
With Dainsleif in his mouth, he swung it towards the short Jack, making slashes of ice that pushed back the Cobra Sin of Wrath. All while simultaneously slashing Nothung down at Damian. Damian was left shocked, as the blade slashed through his helm and the front of his armor. Kiba hadn't managed to cut Damian's skin, but he had cut open his armor.
"Crap!" Damian noticed as Nothung vanished from Kiba's hand, and was replaced with Tyrfing. Without his armor, Damian's Reverse Flow was eliminated so Kiba took the opportunity to attack him with his demonic blade of destruction.
"Rebellion: Gloves of the Queen!" Jack appeared before Damian, using the power of the gloves to redirect the destructive force aside. But as she did, Xenovia rushed in as well using the power of Excalibur Rapidly to increase her speed.
Jack clicked her tongue in frustration and her body unleashed a dark foggy mist. "Murder on a Misty Night!" Xenovia cut through ghostly images of Jack and Damian.
"Back-to-back!" Xenovia instructed as she and Kiba had their backs pushed up against each other. Making sure Jack couldn't attack either of them from behind. The fog grew thicker around them, they could barely see what was ahead.
Xenovia flinched as she looked down, seeing the smirking little Jack swinging her blade up to deal slash at her face. Xenovia is able to evade it, but Jack quickly jumps up and jams her fingers into Xenovia's eyes causing her to cry out in pain. "Xenovia!" Kiba turns to look at the struggling Xenovia, had it not been for the whistling wind, Kiba wouldn't have noticed the strings coming swinging down like cracklings whips from above.
Jack seeing this jumped off Xenovia to get out of the way, and Kiba quickly swung up Nothung to cut through the strings. "Are you okay?!" Kiba asked through gritted teeth. Xenovia was breathing heavily behind him.
"I'm fine…" Xenovia hissed, her eyes bloodshot, feeling like they were burning. Tears beginning to cloud her vision.
Damian leapt down in front of Kiba, who was caught off guard for a moment. Damian quickly kicked Nothung out from Kiba's right hand, and swiftly dealt a right hook to his face. Kiba then swung Dainsleif at Damian, who backflipped to evade the frost slashes.
"Heh, close but no cigar." Damian smirked, although suddenly flinched as he couldn't move. Looking down, he saw his legs were frozen solid in ice. Kiba hadn't aimed for his vitals, but rather his feet. Kiba smirked, as he summoned Gram into his right hand.
Jack rushed in at Xenovia, with the Gremory Knight's vision foggy, she struggled to react to Jack. But coming to her rescue, was a flock of bats that flew in between them. "Xenovia-senpai! I will protect you!" Gasper's voice echoed from within.
"Piss off!" Jack hissed; having had enough of Gasper's troublesome interruptions she threw a holy dagger into the flock of bats. And heard the cry of pain within as she had landed her mark. Gasper fell out from his bats, clutching his hand over his bleeding cut on his left shoulder.
Xenovia acted on this opening, and swung her destruction infused Ex-Durandal towards Jack. But was met with a wall of strings that bought enough time for Jack to backflip out of the way. The destructive force of Xenovia's blade was absorbed through Damian's strings.
Kiba replaced Dainsleif with Tyrfing in his mouth, and with Tyrfing and Gram, the later whose destructive power rivaled Durandal. Rushed at Damian. Damian held left arm up to block the strike, holding back both destructive blades. Kiba gasped in shock, as Damina's sleeves were torn, revealing Damian's left forearm to be coated in strings. "Reverse Flow…" Damian had absorbed not only the destructive force of Ex-Durandal, but now also Gram and Tyrfing. "Explosion! Spear Edition!" The energy flowed from Damian's left arm, to his dominant right arm as it the destructive energy gathered into a vibrant spear of power. About to use the same finishing move he had used against Sairaorg's Dragon Rook Ladora, Damian found himself unable to launch the attack as his arm was frozen in time.
"Gasper!" Kiba looked to his right, seeing the panting Gasper next to him. His eyes glowing brightly as he focused on keeping Damian frozen in place.
"Kiba-senpai… I can't hold him for long! Whatever you do, make sure you bring him down with me!" Gasper declared, as he knew he couldn't keep Damian frozen in time for long. And whenever his power would give in, he couldn't escape Damian's attack either.
Seeing their plan, Damian acted as with his left hand he ensnared Kiba's legs with his strings. "No, you don't!" Damian dragged his left arm back, causing Kiba to scream in pain as his legs were torn to shreds. His muscles ripped apart. Reacting Gasper went from just freezing Damian's right arm and attack, to freezing his entire torso, arms and attack. "Too bad, now neither of you can dodge my attack. You were hoping pretty boy here could attack me, and escape before my attack was launched. That way he and Xenovia could team up against Jack."
Kiba muffled his cries, looking at his torn-up legs, Kiba cut off the strings wrapped around them with Gram. He could hardly move, let alone run away. "Gasper-kun… Move out of the way, I will take Damian down with me!" Charging up the destructive force of Tyrfing and Gram, Kiba readied for one last attack.
"I can't… If I move, I will lose focus and my hold on him. Plus… I'm not feeling so good." Gasper's eyes were wavering, feeling lightheaded from the effects of Jack's divine dagger.
"Then there is only one way…" Kiba said, and Gasper seemed to understand. Both men had made the decision to sacrifice themselves to bring down Damian.
With a swing of her blade, Xenovia cut off a piece of the roof under Jack's feet sending her plummeting bellow. Turning around, Xenovia noticed the stare off between the time frozen Damian facing Kiba and Gasper. "Kiba Yuuto! Together!" Xenovia charged up her Ex-Durandal as she aimed to strike Damian from behind.
'Shit…' Damian grunted as he wouldn't be able to tank all three blades this way. With his arms frozen by Gasper, he couldn't use his strings to absorb the destructive blast wave.
Kiba took one leap ahead towards Damian, Gram in his right hand, and Tyrfing between his teeth, Kiba swung both blades at Damian. Unleashing a giant destructive blast wave, whilst cutting Damian's torso as well. "Ex-Durandal, activate Excalibur core, Destruction!" And Xenovia with one swing from behind Damian, unleashed a massive destructive wave of power to match Kiba's.
And just then, Gasper lost his focus, and Damian's Reverse Flow spear hit both Gasper and Kiba. A series of vibrant colorful explosions rocked the sky, Damian in the middle of it, and Kiba and Gasper facing the blunt destructive force of Damian's red Reverse Flow explosion spear.
Xenovia was blown back from the mere shockwave of the blast, and even fell off the roof and to the garden bellow. Xenovia looked up to see the aftermath of the blast, and was only left with a feeling of relief as she heard. "Itachi Sitri's Pawn Damian retired. Rias Gremory's Knight Kiba and Bishop Gasper retired." Grayfia announced, followed up by Esdeath's comment. "All targets eliminated each other. Itachi Sitri gains a total of 6 points. Rias Gremory gains 3 points."
"They did it…" Xenovia smirked, but her sense of relief was replaced by dread as she heard the sound of boulders moving. Turning around, she came face-to-face with Jack.
"Damn, Damian lost. Stupid idiot." Jack cussed and glared at her last remaining target. Jack was clearly done playing around, as she went into a stance while holding two of her daggers ready.
Xenovia smiled, feeling herself tired out, she didn't have much energy left to fight, plus the holy energy left in her body was really starting to numb her arms. "One last attack…" Xenovia entered a stance of her own, her body radiating with the destructive power of Ex-Durandal. "Rapidly…"
Jack snarled in responds to Xenovia's aura, her eyes flashing red. "Rebellion Field…" Using her Balance Breaker, Jack unleashed a pulsating bubble of energy around them. And the two Knights rushed at each other, clashing one last time as Jack swung one dagger into Ex-Durandal, and then swung the other.
Both Knights shot past the other, a gust of wind blowing around them as they both stood still in silence. Then a bloodied gash exploded from Xenovia, as she collapsed to the floor. Jack flicked her daggers back into their sheets, as Xenovia began fading away in a blue light. "Rias Gremory's Knight Xenovia, retired. Taken down by Jack. Itachi Sitri gains 3 points. Total score stands at 20-14 with Rias in the lead."
Meanwhile, Raven was in a meditation lotus position whilst protected by a black bubble of energy. Whilst Rossweisse and Akeno unloaded their attacks onto the witch's barrier to little effect. Raven had taken the time to try and calm down her power a little, to gain more control. Taking a deep breath, Raven's eyes shot open with full focus as she launched dark projectiles of giant raven avatars towards Rossweisse and Akeno.
Both were forced to fall back, Rossweisse blocked off the raven avatar with a barrier. But the darkness merely moved around the barrier, forming into miniature demonic imps of darkness that aimed to maul Rossweisse. The former Valkyrie had her fists coated in the righteous light of Asgard, and dealt a series of punches that obliterated the dark avatars.
Akeno tried to blast away the raven avatar with a wave of lightning, but the dark bird pushed through and was about to skewer through Akeno. But as it came close, giant snarling jaws of black and red destruction slammed itself down onto the bird devouring it whole. Raven gasped as a bullet of destruction shot through her barrier, causing it to collapse.
Raven was blown back by the initial blast, but shook it off with a wave of her cloak. With her usual bored stoic expression, Raven looked down. Seeing Rias Gremory accompanied by her Bishop Asia. Rias had her dominant hand held out towards Raven, with a stern expression on her face showing how cautious she was. "Hello, princess." Raven greeted in a monotone voice.
"Rachel." Rias returned the greeting, both women unleashing their auras. The chilling calm darkness of Raven, clashing against the unruly destructive black and red aura of Rias.
Without any word of warning, both women unleashed a respective blast attack. Raven thrusting her arms forward, formed a giant raven shaped avatar. The bird screeched as it blocked out the sky for Rias in its advance. Rias fired off a giant destruction sphere, clashing straight into the raven and devouring its head. Both attacks pushed against each other, Raven's wave of darkness splattering raining down like ink, while Rias' destruction sphere sounded like a growling beast as it devoured and erased the magical properties of Raven's spell.
Raven gasped and moved out of the way, as Rias' destruction sphere broke through. Raven looked back, seeing the destruction sphere soar into the heavens before detonating in a brilliant display of destruction, glowing like a red sun.
"…" Raven gave a stoic look as she turned back to look at Rias. "I see how you bested Eto and Kuroka." Raven floated closer to the ground, while still remaining hovering with her cloak itself looking like it expanded. Expecting some witty remark, Raven was given nothing as Rias merely looked at her with caution. "No snarky remark? Where is all that bravado you had when you stormed through our front gate? You seemed a lot more confident when fighting Kuroka and Eto."
Rias then cracked a smirk and gave a shrug. "It's simple. Eto and Kuroka started talking big and underestimating me. So, I taunted them back a little to annoy them. Sue me." Rias after all was a Devil, she was prideful and selfish in her own ways.
This time, Raven cracks a smile and chuckles a little. "Well, that sounds like them… And sounds like something you would do as well." Raven's cloak expanded out, unleashing a powerful shockwave as it carried smoldering hot flames and waves of darkness. Looking like a portal into hell itself, Raven unleashed waves of fire, electricity and shadows slithering across the ground towards them like snakes.
Rias, Rossweisse and Akeno bravely stared down this hellish image before them. With Asia having taken cover somewhere out of sight, preparing to heal her friends when needed. Akeno lifted her dominant hand up, tanking the waves of electricity, Akeno let the black lightning surge through her body as she redirected it to her left hand. "Bang~" Akeno groaned a little from the intense stress on her body, but then pointing her left hand out at Raven like a gun, shot of a wave of black lightning.
Rossweisse stomped her heel hard into the ground, causing it to split apart and sink into a crater. As she did, she formed a magic circle with various Norse runes. "Ljósfari!" A burst of light emerged out from the cracks on the ground, sending waves of light that erased the slithering shadows with their brilliance.
Rias countered the intense heat of the flames, with a wave of destruction coming crashing down like a tidal wave. All whilst moving towards Raven. Raven was faced with waves of light to weaken her spells ever so slightly, a blast of black lightning, and a wave of destruction. "Azarath Metrion Zinthos!" Raven's eyes glowed, levitating the split ground beneath Rias, Rossweisse and Akeno. The split ground was lifted up and turned sideways, and smashed into each other.
Raven then swung her cloak to act as a shield, as she blocked off the lightning blast and shielded her from the light waves. Whilst hidden behind her cloak, Raven created a giant spectral shield of darkness that she used to block off Rias' wave of destruction. 'Not bad… it's just like Itachi said. Rias and Rossweisse will be some of the most troublesome out of the bunch. Akeno is no weakling either, but alone she wouldn't amount to much against one of the Sins. Her biggest feature is the holy lightning, and its attack speed. Rossweisse is like Bob, a giant tank capable of taking on a lot of abuse. But she is also a very gifted magic genius, and has the greatest attack potency of Rias' group. Rossweisse's one advantage over everyone in this Rating Game, is her sheer level of combat experience. Then there is Rias… her raw talent surprises me. Having progressed this much in one year. Out of her group, she has the highest destructive capability.' Raven looked through the giant cloud of dust, her eyes able to peel away the layers of clouds and seeing Rias, Rossweisse and Akeno safely inside a barrier.
Rias in the meantime, was having her own thoughts on her opponent. 'Even calm… Raven is just as powerful as Eto and Kuroka, even stronger probably. She can craft spells in almost an instant. And her magic power is strong enough to probably hold off all our attacks. Her lists of abilities, even I don't know the full extent of them. Maybe even Itachi doesn't know… I will need to wait for the opportune moment to attack.'
"Looking for the perfect moment to strike me, are you?" Raven called out almost as if she had read Rias' thoughts. "I'm a telepath, remember? And an empath. I can read your emotional state. Your mind and thoughts. Admittedly, in my current state, it is easier to read your emotions rather than your mind." Rias grew visibly frustrated, to the point where Raven didn't even need her empath powers to read the frustration on her face, even with those dark visors of her armor shielding the upper half of Rias' face. "But your distressed emotions tell me all I need to know really. You are anxious, cautious, giddy even. If I were to read your mind in this state, I would have to place my hand on your head. But I don't think I will need to. I know you well enough by now to understand what you are thinking based on your emotions."
Rias began shaking, and sweating a little even as Raven psychologically picked her apart. "You are anxious over if Itachi will be impressed by your growth or not. Cautious, because you don't believe you can defeat me that easily even with backup. And giddy, over the prospect of getting a chance to show off to Itachi."
"And what of it?" Rias didn't even deny it, Raven was right on the money on that one. Rias smiled confidently at Raven as she continued by saying with a gentle look on her face. "Who wouldn't want to show off their progress to someone they deeply admire? There is no shame in that."
"… You are correct. I wasn't trying to shame you. Just proving a point, that I know how you think Rias. Thus, there is nothing you can do that would surprise me." Raven pointed out causing Rias to hum at the prosper of such a challenge.
"Well, good thing I know you too, Rachel~" Rias smiled as she gave a mischievous chuckle. "By the way, did you know Itachi has a beauty mark on his upper left butt cheek?" Rias asked, causing Raven to nearly fall out of the sky in shock.
"Wh-What?!" Raven's face turned red for an instant and a tower of the castle crumbled.
"See? I do know you?" Rias playfully giggled.
Meanwhile, Itachi in his throne room silently groaned. "Mm…" A hint of embarrassment washing over his face. While Harry carefully out of curiosity peeked at him from the corner of his eye. Itachi's gaze snapped at Harry, who awkwardly coughed as he turned his steel gaze forward.
Raven took a few deep breaths to calm herself down. "Not funny…" Raven pouted a little as she glared at Rias.
"Kuroka and Damian both happened to mention how much you like Itachi's butt. Not that I blame you, he has a firm set of buns on him." Rias giggled, as Akeno seemed to enthusiastically nod in agreement.
"Stop!" Raven groaned between gritted teeth. Making a mental note to skin a certain nekomata, and strangle a certain perverted janitor. Raven snapped out from her embarrassment, as the sound of crackling lightning flashed behind her. Turning around, Raven was left shocked as a bolt of lightning hit her head on. "Ugh!" Electricity surging through her, numbing her and putting a small dampening on her powers. "Holy Lightning?" Raven groaned noticing that Akeno's hand had zapping electricity.
Raven flinched, as she erected a barrier around herself, taking notice of the intense magic in the air. Hundreds of magic circles formed around Raven, and unleashed a powerful bang of various destructive spells. "Ugh!" Raven grunted from within her barrier, beginning to sweat just trying to keep the barrier up amidst this ruthless barrage. "Rossweisse…" Raven noticed the former Valkyrie having created all those magic circles with a single stomp of her heel.
But all that was meant to serve as a distraction, as Raven's barrier shattered upon getting into contact with Rias' destruction blast. The Gremory princess having leapt up through the smoke and attacked the barrier head on. Rias prepared for another blast, and Raven in an instant formed another barrier around herself to hold off the blast. Rias dragged Raven to the ground, the ground beneath Raven's barrier erupted sending debris flying into the sky.
Raven glanced at Rias through the glass-like reflection of her barrier, the Gremory princess smiled at her and unleashed another powerful blast that left a cobweb of cracks into Raven's barrier.
Frustration grew visible on Raven's face, getting pushed to exert more power by the minute. Rias found herself blown away, as a pulsating wave of darkness erupted through Raven's barrier and the shockwave knocked her into the air. Rias stretched out her wings, and remained afloat. "Argh…" Lightly groaning, Rias bent her head side to side, feeling a cramp on her neck.
However, Rias' discomfort seized as a green bubble of energy clashed against the back of her neck, healing her. Raven charged straight for Rias, she didn't bother going for Akeno or Rossweisse first, as long as she took out Rias, they would win the Rating Game. Rias gasped, unable to get out of the way, when suddenly a sonic boom rings out in the distance. And a red flash comes zooming in, and shoulder charges into Raven.
"Ugh!" Raven cries out in pain as she is sent flying through the castle in a mighty explosion.
"Nice one, Issei… Have you prepared what we discussed?" Rias smiled at the arrival of her pawn. Issei with his Sonic Booster Knight form had speed blitzed and attacked a caught off guard Raven.
"Yes! Buchou! I have it ready to go whenever you want!" Issei saluted his master enthusiastically. Not noticing a portal opening up behind him, and before Rias could even shout a word of warning a large boulder came hurdling through and hit Issei in the back.
Raven emerged out from the darkness of the portal, her eyes illuminating in the darkness as she stepped out. Steam emitting from the freshly made wounds to her body. Without even needing a chant, Raven instantly healed her wounds. "Whatever it is you have planned, it won't work." Raven's aura exploded out in a volatile wave of darkness. Raven was visibly looking more annoyed, feeling a mental pressure as she tried to control the amount of power she was releasing. Dark faint whispers began echoing inside of her mind.
Taking a deep breath, Raven calmed her mind of these whispers and focused on the battle at hand. Catching on to the swooshing sound of Issei taking a leap at her. Turning her head to see the red speed demon rushing at her at light speed. Raven's eyes glowed as she mentally lifted up surrounding debris and launched them flying at Issei.
"Ugh!" Issei grunted as rubble began peppering into him, Raven launching them at such speed they held the same power of meteor strikes. Smaller pebbles even acting like bullets, piercing through Issei's Scale Mail armor. "Promotion: Welsh Dragonic Rook!" Issei's armor turned bulkier, and with a mighty earth-shattering roar, Issei in his giant scale mail armor unleashed such a destructive aura it shattered the incoming debris to mere atoms. "Solid Impact!" Issei's ignition boosters blasted him to the heavens, and soaring towards Raven.
Raven quickly erected a barrier around herself, but Issei's elbow turned into an ignition booster and soared his heavy powerful fist smashing through the barrier. Raven's face became twisted in pain, as Issei's fist buried into her stomach sending her flying crashing hard to the ground.
"Now!" Akeno unleashed a rain of thunder bolts into the downed Raven, causing her to scream out in pain from the surging electricity blasting through her body. Rossweisse leapt over Raven, and raised her right leg up high. Infusing her foot with a fiery light blue magical aura. "Valkyries Divine Spear!" Rossweisse swung her foot crashing down into the stunned Raven. The ground erupting into a giant crater.
Rossweisse glared down at Raven, and suddenly a look of disbelief overcame her as she started into four glowing red eyes. Raven groaned and snarled in anger, holding back Rossweisse foot with her bare hand. With a mighty war cry, Rossweisse was launched to the heavens and through the clouds.
"Dammit, we pushed her too hard!" Rossweisse grunted, and gasped in shock as Raven appeared before her in a flash. A twisted demented smirk on her lips as she was about to attack.
"N-No!" Raven stopped herself, closing her four red eyes as she fought back against the dark voices whispering in her head. When Raven opened her eyes again, her two pale violet eyes stared back at Rossweisse.
Rossweisse had been so spooked, as for a single moment, Raven's power had skyrocketed. Rossweisse overcame her initial shock, as she moved to clash with Raven. Delivering a heavy elbow blow, that Raven blocked off with a shield of darkness formed at her dominant forearm. Rossweisse threw a left straight punch at Raven's head, and the witch weaved out to the side, and countered with a blast of darkness dealt to Rossweisse's abdomen.
Rossweisse flew crashing down from the clouds, and crash landed straight through one of the castle towers. Blood running down from a cut on her head, Rossweisse shakingly picked herself back up. Gazing up, Rossweisse saw Raven flying down. Coated in a black trail of fire that took the shape of a giant fiery raven avatar. The bird screeched as it soared down like a meteorite towards Rossweisse.
"Rossweisse-sensei!" Issei jumped in front of the blast, thrusting his hands forward to grab onto the incoming giant bird avatar. His bulky arms ignited their ignitions to add to his power, as Issei held Raven at bay. While Rossweisse recovered, as bubbles of green energy clashed into her back, healing her injuries and restoring her lost stamina.
Raven within the giant bird avatar, groaned in annoyance as she thrusted her right hand forward. "Azarath Metrion Zinthos!" The ground beneath Issei began to rapidly grow, encasing his entire lower body in stone in a single second, and it continued to grow. Once Issei's arms were locked in stone, Raven squeezed her hand and darkness coated itself around the stones surrounding Issei and began squeezing him hard.
Issei groaned, the sound of his armor getting crushed by the intense pressure of Raven's magic. "Not yet!" Issei endured it, even as his armor began cracking open.
"Nice save, Issei! Now hold her still!" Rossweisse ran out from behind Issei and stood at Raven's right. Slamming her palms together, Rossweisse created a giant magic circle charging up a giant sphere of bright orange energy coated in blue fire.
"We got her now!" Akeno stood at Raven's left, having formed a series of magic circles that together charges up a colossal sphere of thunder.
"Now Issei, it is time!" Rias instructed, hovering above with a sphere of destruction at her fingertip that resembled a miniature red sun.
"Right!" Issei's body glowed bright red, as his armor turned skinner, easing the pressure. "Promotion! Welsh Blaster Bishop!" A pair of gun turrets grew out from Issei's shoulders, and pointed directly at Raven charging up a giant green blast.
"Tch!" Raven looked visibly annoyed, halting her assault on Issei as the giant raven avatar backed up. And with a mighty screech it spread out its wings. "Azarath Metrion-"
"Now, Ddraig!" Issei called out, as his gauntlets unleashed waves of green energy that shot towards Rias, Akeno and Rossweisse. "Transfer!" Power surged through the three women, their attacks doubling in size and their aura growing tenfold.
Raven gasped, feeling the pressure of the collective power. Thanks to Issei's transfer, their power had grown tenfold. Akeno's lightning was crackling at such a high level of velocity, she could annihilate an entire small country with this attack. Rossweisse's attack probably carried enough power to destroy an entire continent same as Issei's. But the worst of the bunch, was Rias. Raven looked up at the Gremory princess, seeing the size of the spinning sphere of destruction on her fingertip. It had doubled in size, and grown rings around it. The center of it resembling a black void, with a burning crackling surge of crimson red energy. It looked like a miniature black hole. Rias' sheer destructive aura, held enough power to destroy a moon right now.
Rias' eyes were slightly visible from behind her black visors as light itself seemed to get pulled towards her and reflected on her visors. "Checkmate." Rias slowly moved her arm down, and pointed the spinning sphere of destruction towards Raven. "Extinguished Star." Using her strongest attack, Rias launched a four-way attack at Raven. As Akeno unleashed a giant blast of holy lightning flying at Raven from the left. Rossweisse unleashed a giant fiery laser beam of energy at Raven from the right, and Issei breaking out from his rocky prison jumped backwards as his gun turrets fired off a powerful green and red mixed energy wave at Raven from the front.
Raven looked visibly frustrated. She had been pushed into a corner. She couldn't escape this attack, not fast enough. 'No… I can't dodge this… am I about to lose?' The failure of her previous match against Sairaorg's Queen Kuisha flashed before her eyes. She had been too afraid to use her power to its fullest, that had always been her biggest weakness. She failed Itachi that day. And she would again today. No… no… no! No! No! No! NO! NO! NO! Raven grinded her teeth, as her skin began turning blood red. And then the dark whisper she had heard during this fight, became all to clear like the voice was right next to her. "Raven~" The voice of Trigon, her father, laughed inside her head.
And then, something snapped. Raven looked up to the sky, her four red glowing demonic eyes glaring to the sky as she let out a blood curling scream. "ZINTHOS!" Her giant raven avatar exploded into a pillar of power that blasted through the clouds.
"Ah!" Rias cried out in shock as she quickly flew back to avoid the growing pillar of darkness. Raven continued to scream as the pillar clashed to the heavens above, and it was as if her power polluted the very Rating Game dimensions. Cracks of black dark violet energy spread across the sky, the entire space around them died in a dark purple color that suddenly shifted to red.
Slowly, Raven's screams of pain died down as it turned into a malicious chuckle. The pillar exploded out in a violent burst of energy, turning into a solid dark mass that swallowed up and erased the attacks of Rias, Akeno, Rossweisse and Issei.
"Oh, FUCK!" Issei gasped as he quickly moved flying towards where Asia was hidden. "Asia! Grab on!" Issei desperately called out, and without hesitation Asia jumped into Issei's arms. "Cardinal Promotion Queen!" Scarlet made dragon-like wings grew out from Issei's back, his armor burning in a bright crimson color. His new armor carrying the powers of all the other three, had Issei fly around at light speed avoiding a series of giant black tentacles.
"Ha… ha… HAHAHAHA!" Raven threw her head back laughing, her power giving shadows themselves solid matter, causing giant tentacles of darkness to grow out from them. Violently smacking into the castle, and the entire terrain. The tentacles cleared away the entire surrounding forest.
It was like a giant tentacle monster itself had taken over the castle, its tentacles smashing around knocking down towers. Raven floated up, coated in a blood red black aura that resembled her father's. "What's wrong? Afraid of me, Welsh Dragon~?" Raven's voiced was mixed with the demonic voice of Trigon, her eyes glowing red as she followed the buzzing flying Issei.
"Shit!" Rias narrowly dodged a series of swinging tentacles, blasting any that she saw with waves of destruction. Creating a series of destruction spheres, Rias peppered holes into the solid dark mass of Raven's power. But any damage she dealt to it, just healed in an instant. "Not good…" Rias sweated, beginning to feel the pressure.
Raven sniffed the air like a feral beast. "… Strongest fly, inside the castle…" Raven looked down to the castle where Itachi was located, but brushed his presence off as she smelled something even better. "… Gods… outside!" A smirk crept up on her face, as Raven had dark tentacles shoot out from her cloak. It was like they pierced the space of the Rating Game Dimension itself, beginning to tear the dimension down like wrapping paper on a candy bar.
The Gods in the audience gasped, as many of them stared in terror at seeing the face of Trigon's spawn. The sky itself around the arena began cracking, and tearing itself open as Raven tried to break out. "Ho?" The King of the Heavens, Indra perked his head up with intrigue.
Lightning beginning to crackle around his body as he stood tall, staring at the rifts appearing in the sky. And he was not the only one, the God father of the Cosmos, Zeus was giddy like a little kid, doing shadow boxing as he eagerly waited for Raven to break through. Poseidon even looked excited from where he was sitting.
"Yare, yare…" Shiva sat with his legs crossed, his bottomless eyes of divinity and endless superiority casually eyed the rifts in space. "Seems things are about to get hectic~" Even though he looked like a middle schooler, his aura was undeniable stronger than anyone else present. Well, all except for one. Shiva's eyes trailed over to the Norse section of the Gods, and eyed the form of Thor. The God of thunder casually eyed the rifts in the sky while gripping onto his hammer ready to annihilate Raven the second she emerged out from the rift. "Thor's not wasting any time I see…"
The majority of the audience however, looked close to breaking out into wild panic. Azazel stood before his human students, ready to shield them. Watching from the corner of his eye, as he saw all four of them trembling. Even across entire dimensions, and even though they had no sensory skills, they felt the nauseating sensation caused by Raven's power.
Itachi stepped up from his throne, and called out in a panic-stricken voice. "Raven!" Itachi's voice echoed across the Rating Game dimension, and caused Raven to flinch as the voice vibrated through her ears.
"I-Itachi…?" Raven shakingly flinched, and quickly gripped her hands onto her temple. "AAAARRRRRGGGHHHHH!" Raven cried out in intense pain, reining in her tentacles stopping them from tearing a hole through the Rating Game Dimension.
"I….! I Can't!" Raven cried out, sounding fearful as her power continued to run wild. The tentacles continued swinging around, and came crashing down onto both Akeno and Rossweisse.
"ARGH!" Both women cried out in pain as the tentacles grabbed onto their bodies, squeezing them tighter by the second. The tentacles grew tighter, the more Raven struggled with her power. Raven covered her ears, tears beginning to stream down her face from the intense pain she felt. Not just from within, but around her.
She felt the crippling fear of some of the audience outside, she felt the judging eyes of the Gods and her fellow Devils.
"R-Rachel!" Akeno called out weakly, but was stopped from saying anything else as the tentacles turned sharp like blades and pierced through her body. "ARGH!" Blood erupted out from her lips, feeling like her limps were getting run through meatgrinders, and her body pierced by various thin blades.
Rossweisse pulled herself free from one of the tentacles, but still felt a piercing pain as many more ensnared themselves around her legs and arms. One even wrapped itself around her neck, causing Rossweisse to gasp for air.
Rias and Issei seeing the trouble their friends are in, rushes in to try and help. "Issei! Help Rossweisse! I will try and get to Akeno!" Rias sounded desperate in her voice, her body burning with her destruction aura as she blasted through various tentacles to try and reach Akeno. "Akeno! Hold on! I'm coming to save you!" Rias called out to her best friend.
"R-Rias… Gakh!" Blood erupted out from Akeno's mouth. She tried to weaken the tentacles holding onto her with a blast of holy lightning. "No… Rachel… You need to help… Rachel!" Akeno gasped out painful wheezes, she knew if things got too bad, she would end up retired. But Raven was the one who needed the help.
"Akeno…" Rias groaned in frustration, and let out a war cry as her aura exploded in a pulsating bomb. The sheer destruction in her aura burning through the black tentacles holding Akeno, and those nearing her from behind. Rias moved in to catch the falling Akeno, and Rias was left horrified.
"Rias… It's okay…" Akeno spoke through weak wheezes. Her ribs had been crushed and punctured her lungs. Her limps were torn and mangled with her once beautiful smooth skin torn. Blood was running deep from Akeno's body. "Rachel… Help her… She's in far more pain than us." Akeno mumbled out weakly.
As Raven herself had said earlier, she was an empath. She felt everyone's feelings, Rias' pain and distress from seeing her best friend in this state. The physical pain Akeno and Rossweisse were currently going through.
"Ascalon!" Using the Holy Dragon Slayer sword, Issei cut through various tentacles as if it was a dense forest in order to reach Rossweisse.
Rossweisse was beaten and battered, yet like a tank she continued to fight. Unleashing a series of magic attacks into the tentacles, burning them and tearing them apart even with her bruised and battered body. "Sensei! Grab my hand!" Issei called out, and Rossweisse shot her hand out towards Issei and was pulled out from the sea of dark tentacles. Issei held Rossweisse close, and flew her over to Asia.
"Asia! Hurry!" Issei sounded distressed as he carried Rossweisse in his arms. His armor was stained with fresh red blood from Rossweisse's body.
"Yes! Hold on sensei! I will heal you right away!" Asia began using her Twilight Healing on Rossweisse, who looked with an appreciative smile.
"Sorry for the trouble. And thank you." Rossweisse was out of breath, and took a few moments to gather herself.
Issei continued to hold off the incoming tentacles, slashing them apart with Ascalon. But as he did, all the tentacles suddenly ended up frozen in ice. "This ice… Itachi-senpai?" Issei gasped in shock.
On the balcony of his castle, Itachi stood in his Frost Demon Mode, having used the power of his ice to freeze over the entire Rating Game Dimension in thick layers of ice keeping Raven's powers in check for but a moment. Rumbling echoed around the Rating Game dimension, as the black tentacles trapped in the ice fought to escape.
Feeling the sudden cold, Raven shivered and sniveled her tears. Feeling the pain of a mortally wounded Akeno, she was heavily focused on that. "Raven!" Itachi called out again, and was about to fly over to her, but Raven stopped him, creating a wall before him.
"I'm fine…" Raven sobbed, having snapped out of it. And looks with horrified eyes at what she had done to her friends.
"Rias Gremory's Queen, Akeno Himejima, retired. Defeated by Raven. Itachi Sitri's team earns 9 points." Esdeath announced, as Akeno's body vanished through a blue light.
"W-Wait… At least let me…" Raven was about to heal Akeno, but stopped herself. What right did she have to ask to heal her? She put Akeno into such a state after all. Raven collapsed to her knees, near sobbing. But even though she wanted to bawl her eyes out, the fear of her powers running wild again prevented her from even doing that. Hiding her face away within her hood, Raven continued to say a single word. "Sorry… sorry…"
The dark mass had vanished, and Raven's aura with it. Issei helped Rossweisse stand up, while Asia continued to heal any remaining wounds on the former Valkyrie's body. All three of them looked with great sympathy for Raven.
Still on her knees, Raven looked up coming face to face with Rias. "Why?" Raven mumbled out, in a near sobbing voice. "Why aren't you angry?" Raven asked as Rias knelt down to embrace Raven in a hug.
"It's okay Raven… Rachel, it wasn't your fault. Okay? Akeno didn't blame you either. I'm sorry… I shouldn't have pushed you that far. It's my fault." Raven wanted to break down, but she couldn't.
"No… it is my fault." Raven pushed Rias gently off. "This is just a game… A tournament. And yet… I couldn't get ahold of my powers for something that wasn't even that serious. It was a fucking tournament… and I just…" Raven felt a great sense of shame, this was supposed to be a tournament. A friendly match, and she had ended up taking it too seriously. All to not fail Itachi by losing. "I give up…" Raven declared.
Rias looks shocked, and gently puts her hands on Raven's shoulder. "Raven… you don't have to do that." Despite being opponents in this game, Rias didn't want Raven to give up like this. Feeling it would discourage her and further distance her if she did.
"No, I do. I lost to you, fair and square. By using the power from my father… I automatically lost the match. For every advancing step my father takes, I consider it a loss for me." Raven looked up at Rias. Her tears dried up as she gazed into Rias' eyes. Feeling every ounce of concern the Gremory princess had for her in this very moment. Raven smiles at Rias. "You've become strong… strong enough to rival me." Raven admitted, that Rias was equal to her whenever she was calm and using her current level of power. "I'm sure Itachi will be proud at seeing your progress."
"Raven… I…" Rias was at a loss for words, when suddenly Raven's body glowed in a dim lit blue light.
"Itachi Sitri's Bishop, Raven, forfeits and is retired. 6 points given to Rias Gremory. Current score 26-23 with Rias in the lead." Raven sits still, as she mumbles out a final. "I'm sorry… Itachi… I'm sorry. I am an unworthy peerage member. I should never partake in a Raring Game ever again." Raven stated, deeming her own powers too dangerous for these types of games.
The wall of energy Raven made to block Itachi's path vanished along with her. And Itachi stood in silence left with a bitter taste in his mouth as he clenched his fists hard enough to draw blood. Harry walked up behind him, and Jack appeared as well. "Itachi…" Harry called out.
"… Stick to the plan. Prepare for the final confrontation with Rias and her peerage." Itachi mumbled as he went out from his Touki Frost Demon Mode, and returned to sit at his throne with his head hung low.
Whilst most Gods cowered at witnessing the destructive dark power of Raven, the more elite Gods seemed more relaxed on the situation. One such God, was arguably the most prideful God of all. The God of the Seas, Poseidon scoffs and merely leans back in his seat. In the split moment of Raven revealing her true power, Poseidon had leaned in closer to get a better view. But with such a quick damper on the display, had bored the God. "Things were just getting interesting." Poseidon sighed, sounding beyond bored as finally some of these young Devils showed something worth the attention of an elite God such as himself. "Hmm, just as I was finally feeling the chill of excitement. How disappointing."
"I-I don't know, it got a little scary at the end there." The oldest of the six siblings, Hestia took a sigh of relief. As the darkness emitting from Raven felt really threatening to the regular Gods. "But poor thing… I hope she isn't taking this too hard. You can tell she didn't mean to hurt that Fallen Angel hybrid that badly." Sounding genuine emphatic, Hestia felt genuine concern for both sides of this battle.
"Peh, not that scary elder sister." Hera scowled while chugging down some wine, while her pride and joy, Ares refilled her chalice.
"Mother, I must say… I agree with some of the other Gods. I don't think the spawn of Trigon should be allowed to walk around freely." Ares voiced his opinion.
"Easy there, son." Zeus sudden deep voice had the God of War flinch in slight fright. "No need to throw a tantrum over this~" Zeus sounded giddy, as a creepy smile formed on his lips, and his fragile old body bulked up with bulging muscles. And his body grew ten times in size to the point where he even looked down on Ares. "Things are starting to get good~ I love this Rating Game~"
Demeter didn't care for either of her siblings' reactions. Instead, she focused on the two empty seats that were supposed to be for Hades and Persephone. More specifically, Persephone's seat. "Why isn't Persephone here? I can't believe Hades would keep her in the Underworld even now!"
"Relax, you will still have her for half the year." Zeus cackled at his older sister's tantrum.
"… Still, why isn't older brother here?" Poseidon mumbled, missing the presence of the only one of his siblings he respected.
Zeus continues to cackle at seeing even Poseidon pouting. "Can't be helped. That guy has always been serious about his work. He rarely leaves home after all~" Zeus revealed, as there wasn't any Greek God as reliable and trustworthy as Hades. Their older brother would always get the job done whatever it may be. "That said… These Super Devils are really interesting. Especially now that a fourth one has appeared. Sirzechs Lucifer, Ajuka Beelzebub, the Old Maou Faction's Rizevim Livan Lucifer. And now the daughter of Trigon, Raven. All of them are able to rival some of us elite Gods. Especially that Sirzechs Lucifer, he is a scary one~" Zeus spoke with great intrigue. Whereas most Gods found it insulting that a Devil could reach their level, Zeus found the challenge intriguing more than anything.
Azazel retracted his twelve black Angel wings, revealing the still frightened humans behind him. With a deep heavy sigh, Azazel rubbed the back of his head. "Fuck kid…"
Golden Angelic feathers rained down, as a giant cloud-like entity with a human torso, a human head in the center, a lion's head on the right, the head of a bull on the left and the head of an eagle in the back. With twelve giant golden fiery wings and six floating rings covered in giant eyes repaired the damage. And erased the dark presence of Trigon's power. This figure reverted to a smaller form, as it was revealed to be the leader of Heaven, Michael. "… It's getting worse." Michael noted, looking at the screen showing Itachi's reaction. "I hope you can solve this." Both Michael and Azazel felt sorry for Raven, having to carry the burden of her father's evil on her shoulders.
"Azazel-sensei…" Aika grabbed onto the Governor's sleeve, her fear having turned into a look of concern. "Are… Rachel and Akeno-senpai going to be, okay?"
With a heavy sigh, Azazel mumbled out. "Akeno will be fine. But Rachel… I don't know kids. I really don't."
Meanwhile, in the hospital ward. Akeno was freshly recovered, having been given a bottle of Pheonix tears. And also, her body was covered in darkness as Raven sat by her bedside to heal any leftover injury. "I'm so sorry…" Raven mumbled, as she felt Akeno grab onto her hand.
Akeno smiled at Raven, and whispered out. "I know… it's okay." Raven then felt the hands of Bob, Kuroka and Damian touch her shoulders. Looking around at her friends from the Sins, and the Occult Research club. Raven felt like breaking down, but still held herself back. Grateful to have such good friends.
"Excuse me… I'll… be right back." Raven backed away from everyone, and vanished into a portal. She had gone to a place where she could break down, using Domain Expansion, Raven took herself out into a vast empty space. Landing on a deserted planet, in a lifeless separate solar system. All alone with no one else around. She broke down into tears, as her tears hit the ground, poisonous cracks of darkness appeared on the planet's surface. The demonic force of Trigon's spawn, the true power of Raven infected an entire solar system. Her psychic powers running uncontrollably, as entire asteroid belts, moons and planets were torn apart by her storm of emotions. Eventually even the center star, was turned black and dark and imploded into giant hellish fire storm.
Debris floated around this empty space, and Raven along with it remained floating in the emptiness of space, weeping. She would go to places like this, whenever she had to let out suppressed emotions. Raven would end up staying here for the rest of the duration of the Rating Game.
Back in the Underworld arena, both Sirzechs and Ajuka lower their aura showing how close they had been to intervene. Sirzechs sighs with relief that Raven had managed to snap out of it before anyone was killed. "I wish we could help her…" Sirzechs mumbled out.
"Trigon's growing stronger… Too strong for even you to deal with." Ajuka sighs as there wasn't much they could do. In fact, the only permanent solution he could think of, would be to freeze Raven in a suspended state where she can't age, feel or move. It was that or kill her. But with Raven being a spawn of Trigon, the incarnation of evil itself, Ajuka doubted her death would be permanent. And even with his scientific mind and curiosity, Ajuka was not willing to test that theory.
In the Rating Game dimension, Rias and her group took a short break to recover. Asia healing any damage Rias ended up sustaining, after having finished healing Issei and Rossweisse. "I had no idea… that Rachel's power was that intense." Issei mumbled.
"Heh, I told you she was the strongest of the Sins." Rias tried to lighten the dire mood with a faint chuckle. "Still, no matter what, Raven will always be our friend."
Itachi himself within the ruins of his castle, was trembling in rage as he sat in his throne room. He was angry, angry with himself for not being able to help Raven in the slightest. Harry and Jack standing by his side, the old giant man began to try and console his friend. "You tried everything you could. You have done a lot to help her with mental training exercises. The only one to blame for this, is that pure evil monster Trigon."
"And yet… Raven apologized." Itachi mumbled, trying to calm himself down. "She has nothing to apologize for." Establishing a mental link with Raven wherever she was, Itachi spoke out so she could hear him. "Raven… it is my failure as your master… as your friend. My love for you, has left me blind for too long. I need to be better at helping you overcome your father. I promised you last year I would save you from him… the day we met. I haven't forgotten that promise. And to this day, I intend to keep that promise." Itachi's eyes turn into the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan, burning with intense fury and resolve. His eyes burnt with hatred for Trigon, and the lord of Purgatory reveled in this feeling. As he too spectated the Rating Game through Kokabiel's eyes, who was hidden somewhere in the audience, before vanishing in an instant.
Raven within her void, heard Itachi. She is astonished, and looks with great regret over having put such a burden on Itachi. "I'm sorry Itachi… but I don't think anyone can defeat my father. But thank you, for always doing your best for me. All of you… I love… all of you." Raven mumbled, her friends in the Sins, the Occult Research Club, the Student Council and most of all Itachi. Her feelings still affected the space around her, and her love seemed to give birth to a new star to replace the one her sorrow tore apart. Shining like a small glimmer of hope.
Back in the Rating Game Dimension, Rias seemed to be in deep thought. Not about her next move, no. But something was starting to become painfully clear to her. Walking over to one of the many ice layers left by Itachi trying to stop Raven, as she looked around her seeing the entire Rating Game Dimension covered in ice something clicked inside her head. "That fucker!" Rias trembles with anger, anger towards her own boyfriend Itachi. "Itachi!" She violently screams out his name, and marches towards the remains of his castle. With a confused Issei, Rossweisse and Asia following her.
Rias was so furious, that her aura annihilated any collapsing debris from the unstable castle falling towards them. As she reached to gated doors leading into the throne room, Rias blasted the doors down without a second thought. The four enter the throne room, where Itachi, Jack and Harry are waiting.
With anger, Rias lashes out. "You really think I wouldn't notice?!" Rias creates a softball sized destruction sphere, and tossed it towards Itachi's head. Itachi looking a little worried, ducks away from the destruction sphere as it annihilates his throne.
"I…" Itachi tries to speak, but Rias wasn't finished.
"How dare you go easy on me?!" Rias snarls at him, and Itachi looks a little caught off guard, and then looks with some shame showing Rias was right in her statement. Itachi, despite knowing some of Rias' potential moves for strategy in this game, didn't act on them. For example, he didn't send other Sins to backup Raven or Bob.
And, that Itachi himself didn't in any way intervene to help his servants when they were struggling. It all became clear and evident; the moment Itachi was shown to only step in once Raven's powers went on a rampage. With that move of freezing the entire Rating Game dimension, showing Itachi could have helped even from within his own throne room. As his power as great enough to reach all of the Rating Game dimension.
"Do you think that light of me?!" Rias throws another destruction sphere, and this time Itachi leaps out of the way and down to the center floor of the throne room.
"No… I…" Itachi was at a loss for words as to what to say.
"Then prove it! Fight me! Here and now! It's time for our first fight as a couple!" Rias declared, and for the first time in his life. Itachi found himself swallowing a nervous lump in his throat. He looks conflicted, he has been conflicted this entire time of course.
"I… fine." Itachi sighs, and relents, as both Harry and Jack jump to his side. With Issei in his Cardinal Promotion Queen form, and Rossweisse in her Valkyrie armor standing at Rias' side. With Asia hiding behind a pillar in the background.
Issei starts the battle, by soaring across the room in an instant as he targets Harry Newgate, taking a swing at the old man with the blade of Ascalon. Harry counters the blade with his Flame Sword of Pride. "Hm!" With a grunt Harry pushes Issei flying backwards. "The Dragon of Legend wants to challenge me? So be it." Harry rushes at Issei, who rushes back and both throw a heavy hit that vibrates across the dimension as they lock fists.
Rossweisse takes a giant leap, and takes chase after the quick and nimble Jack who is forced to be on retreat from Rossweisse's destructive attacks. Jack takes several backflips, as she creates a series of blades that she sends flying towards Rossweisse. The former Valkyrie however tanks the blades, and tears them out from her skin and crushes them within the palm of her hand. "Tch!" Jack looked visibly frustrated, as Rossweisse was the worst type of opponent for her.
Harry's body got encased in an armor of fire, entering his Balance Breaker as he smacked Issei around like a ragdoll. Throwing heavy hits into the young man, each hit sending a powerful vibrant shockwave. "Please don't make this too easy for me. I want to have some fun too, you know?" Harry taunted as he threw a heavy straight punch, only for Issei to catch his fist.
"Heh, I've been hit harder by Bob!" Issei smirked within his helm, and drove his head forward to headbutt Harry knocking him back a few steps.
Asia continued to launch a series of healing bubbles, sending them popping into Issei mostly as he fended off the powerhouse that was Harry Newgate. This didn't last long however, as a crow soared by in front of her causing Asia to gasp in fright. She stared at the crow, whose eye reflected a Sharingan for a brief moment.
Itachi continued to jump around dodging a series of destruction soft ball sized spheres. Each peppering new holes into his castle walls. His focus was mainly now on Asia, who shakingly and horrified stared down at her own hands. "Wh-What the?" Asia looked to be in shock, as in her eyes her own hands were gone. "M-My power… I can't use it!" Through the distress of Genjutsu, Asia became unable to focus on her Sacred Gear.
Asia gasped as Itachi suddenly appeared right in front of her, looming over her like a threatening monster. Asia collapsed from mental fatigue, the sound of her fall alerting Issei, Rias and Rossweisse. "Asia!" Issei called out in a desperate voice, but was then hit across the face by Harry.
"Don't you dare take your eyes of me!" Harry booted Issei in the chest sending him flying out of the throne room, and Harry went in pursuit.
"Rias Gremory's Bishop, Asia. Retired. Eliminated by Itachi Sitri." Grayfia announced as Asia vanished in a blue light. "3 points awarded to Itachi Sitri."
Rias hearing the announcement looked to Itachi. "You used Genjutsu, huh?" Thankful now that she had the visors. But at the same time, Rias made a mental note to avoid Itachi's gaze in case these visors couldn't block out the effects of Itachi's Eternal Mangekyou.
Reeling his dominant arm back, Itachi launches a giant water serpent dragon flying towards Rias. The Gremory princess shows exceptional agility as she takes a giant backflip, and tosses a destruction sphere into the water dragon. The thick dense destruction sphere annihilating the water dragon in one swoop.
'Rias' destruction sphere's density… its density is a resulted of an immense amount of condensed demonic power that enhances its destructive capability. It's what allowed her to tear through Eto's Kakuja… and to eat through Raven's attacks even. And with the added controlled density, Rias can make it so they bounce off hard surfaces…' Itachi noted as he saw a destruction sphere from the corner of his eye, a sphere he had just dodged bounce back from the ground and at him. Swiftly turning around, Itachi made an ice dragon that tanked the destructive sphere. Ice shards exploding in all directions, as Rias' sphere devoured the ice dragon and tore it apart.
Taking a leap back, once the frosty air clears it reveals a total of hundred of Rias' destruction spheres. Taking a quick look around, Itachi noticed he was surrounded also by a cage of magic circles. With a snap of her fingers, Rias unleashed a total bombardment of her destruction spheres. Bouncing around within the cage, and clashing into Itachi. Burning off pieces of his clothing, and leaving bruises on his skin.
"Touki: Defense Mode." Surrounding himself in an amor of water, Itachi unleashed a giant blast wave of water that flooded the entire barrier. Rias stared from the outside, noticing her destruction spheres were moving slower. And Itachi effortlessly moved around within this giant water prison, dodging and weaving Rias' attacks.
'This pressure…' Rias shakingly held her arms out, as she tried to command the destruction spheres within the water prison to move around. It was as if she was trapped in the water prison itself. Already the weight and pressure of the water, felt greater than Sona's was during their fight. At some point all destruction spheres began moving so slow, to the point where Itachi hardly had to move to dodge them.
Itachi by merely widening his eyes, had the entire water prison bubble freeze in ice. A giant ice bubble that exploded in a giant shockwave from within. Rias was thrown back a few steps from the intense shockwave, and looked up seeing Itachi floating down on a wave of water. With a deep sigh, Itachi undid his Touki form and reverted back to base.
And seeing this, had Rias feeling annoyed. "Oh, that does it!" Rias flared up in a fiery destruction aura, and took off like a flying missile at Itachi.
Itachi himself looked caught off guard at this sudden aggressive approach. And swiftly held his arm up to block a punch from Rias. 'Huh?' Itachi looked shocked, as his arm was actually twitching a little from the pressure. Rias continued with a relentless assault of punches and high kicks. And Itachi continued to move side to side, weaving and dodging. 'These moves… they look…' Itachi was stopped mid thought as Rias dealt a heavy axe kick down at his head, that Itachi narrowly blocked off with his dominant forearm.
The ground beneath Itachi erupted from the shockwave, and Itachi made note of Rias surprising physical strength. He had been surprised by her a lot during this game. From her beating both Eto and Kuroka, and being able to push Raven to the brink. And now with these fighting moves. But Itachi still was able to predict the pattern of her hits. Not because of his Sharingan, but because he felt like he had seen them before. No, he was certain he had seen them in action. These were traditional Taijutsu moves taught back in Konoha.
Itachi was on the backfoot, dodging and blocking off a series of attacks from Rias who with anger continued a relentless assault. Itachi pushes Rias back as she deals another high kick, and counters with a spin kick of his own. Only for Rias to backflip narrowly out of the way. Rias then jumped forward at Itachi, and went down sliding moving like a dancer she swiped her leg underneath Itachi's feet to throw him off balance.
Itachi however, reacted in time thanks to his Sharingan. Taking a high jump to the air, Itachi was once again surprised as Rias swiftly moved up to him and continued her assault. 'Did she just try and perform a Lion's Barrage?' Rias just attempted an advanced Taijutsu move. Her flexibility and agility were top notch.
"Stop! Dodging! And! Attack!" Rias spoke out through frustrated grunts. Itachi snapped back to reality, and as if his warrior instincts kicked in, he dealt a swift powerful elbow strike to Rias' abdomen.
Rias, having the air knocked out of her was sent flying. Itachi took a moment, but quickly noticed what he just did. And thus, he hesitated for a moment and didn't continue his attack. Rias gaining enough time to recover as a result, created softball sized destruction spheres in her hands. Taking a leap from the floor, Rias swung herself upside down and with flicks of her wrists she tossed the destruction spheres one after the other.
'Wait… that's…' Itachi thought back, and this perfectly mimicked the Shuriken jutsu he taught Sasuke when they were little. The jutsu he developed on his own. He remembers it vividly, he was eight years old, on the training grounds with Shisui to show off his new jutsu. And she was there, Izumi was there watching him. Thinking she was hidden away from his eye, but he had noticed her. But didn't care much at the time to mention it.
Itachi was snapped back to reality, from the sound of two of Rias destruction spheres bouncing off each other. And as Itachi realized it, he was getting attacked from every direction. Rias had tossed the spheres at such precision; it nearly perfectly mimicked his shuriken jutsu. Nearly. Throwing an ice kunai between two gaps, Itachi was able to alter the trajectory of one of the destruction spheres throwing it off course to blast into other spheres creating an opening for Itachi to rush out and escape the bombardment.
'But how? Rias of course has seen me perform that move before… from seeing my actual past memories, and during actual training sessions I would have when we were young. But… to nearly perfect it… it's not possible. One would need the reflexes that comes with having the Sharingan to perform such a move.' As Itachi thought this, a certain spectator watching from a crystal ball. The Unseen One gleamed in the darkness as he observed the battle in secret.
Itachi for a brief moment, tried to get low enough to try and peek underneath those black visors shielding Rias' eyes that had been given to her by Ajuka. Itachi stopped though, as he noticed something else, the anger and frustration on Rias' face was evident. Even with the visors on.
"Dammit! Stop pulling your punches already!" Rias screamed at him, and threw destruction blast after destruction blast at Itachi. "Are you holding back because I am a girl?!" Rias sarcastically asked, while charging up a big destruction blast.
"What? No, of course not." Itachi zig zagged through the destruction blasts, narrowly dodging them. "Be my opponent a man, woman, Devil, Angel or God. I will fight them with all my might." Rias in anger at hearing this, tosses her giant destruction blast.
Itachi reels his dominant arm back, and launches a giant fire ball of equal size to match the destruction blast. The blast created a large bright explosion, that illuminated two figures moving around in the throne room.
Rossweisse rushed towards Jack who kept retreating while swinging blades at her. "Think you can fight me on your own Valkyrie?!" Jack grunted as she zoomed out of the throne room and to the courtyard with Rossweisse taking chase.
"Look who is chasing whom here!" Rossweisse added as she attempted a dive attack at Jack, who in time shot straight up to the heavens with Rossweisse once again quick on the chase.
Rossweisse continued with heavy hits that Jack could only narrowly dodge or counter with her blades. Rossweisse was a tank, and was able to take on any sneaky attack from Jack. It was like Jack's blades just bounced off Rossweisse's skin. 'What is she doing?! Her skin… she doesn't have a scratch!' Jack flinched as she noticed a glaring glow from Rossweisse's body. Having used Norse magic, Rossweisse had used something similar to Touki, to buff up her speed, strength and durability. Her body was coated in layers of magical energy acting as a way to block off Jack's blades.
"Rebellion Field!" Resulting in the use of her Balance Breaker, Jack flipped the scale of the battlefield countering Rossweisse's strength with her own now that the logic of the battle was reversed. Throwing a punch to Rossweisse's face that had the Valkyrie throw her head back as she flew back from the sudden force.
With a busted lip, and a trail of blood coming from her lip, Rossweisse turned to look at Jack with an indifferent glare. "Is that all?" Rossweisse spat out a loggie of blood.
"What the hell? I should have gained a high strength boost from that!" Jack was left with a look of disbelief, up until now no opponent had been able to overcome her Balance Breaker.
"True, you did gain a significant boost in strength." Rossweisse acknowledged, as she did indeed feel the weight of that hit. "But as Azazel has said before… Your ability is limited to your own magic power and spirit. If you face an opponent with greater magical prowess than you, you lose. And although you hold magic power on par with a Maou level fighter like Shalba Beelzebub. I was the bodyguard of All Father Odin and one of the chosen Battle Maidens of Asgard. My magic is second only to the Aesir Gods themselves. So, you see, you are much weaker than I am."
At that, Jack snapped and snarled with anger. "I… will! Defeat you!" Throwing her arms back, Jack created thousand of warping portals that unleashed a rain of holy blades. The blades upon clashing against Rossweisse created a series of explosions that lit up the sky in a golden light.
Only for Rossweisse, surrounded by a light blue bubble of energy came charging out from the golden fiery smoke with her fist raised. Seeing the fierce battle maiden, had Jack back up in shock as she was nailed right in the face with a hit from Rossweisse. The stunned Jack flew back, but was ruthlessly rushed at by Rossweisse swinging her fist straight into Jack's gut.
With her fist dug into Jack's gut, Rossweisse unleashed a blast attack that had Jack propel into the heavens. Badly burnt and injured, yet Jack continued to remain in the game. Her sheer determination keeping her from retiring straight away. "I can't fail mommy! I won't lose!" Jack's eyes widened with determination, as her body was coated in a dark foggy mist of energy. "Rebellion Field! Murder on a Misty Night!" Combining her stealth skill, and her Balance Breaker, Jack vanished in the fog as Rossweisse was about to drive a fist through her.
Rossweisse looked around, but did not spot Jack. None but the audience noticed Jack, as she suddenly slipped out from the fog while attached to Rossweisse's back. Wielding two giant daggers oozing with a great dark force. Without hesitation, Jack drove her daggers into Rossweisse's back, the dark energy coating the blades breaching through Rossweisse's layers of magical energy.
"Ugh!" Rossweisse grunted as Jack had stabbed her. "Got you!" Rossweisse threw her arm back, grabbing Jack by the ankle as she yanked the little assassin off. Rossweisse began swinging Jack around like a ragdoll. The daggers still latched into her back, Rossweisse used her free hand to pluck them out.
"Holy shit… Rossweisse-sensei is badass!" In the stands with the audience, Matsuda and Motohama together cheered in excitement for their hot teacher.
"She's like a walking tank… Her and Bob are a perfect match after all." Aika felt a little sorry for Jack, as this very much looked like a grown woman bullying a child.
"Heh, well of course. Rossweisse is a Rook, who are known for their strength and durability. Not only that, as a former Valkyrie, Rossweisse holds a great deal of power. I would say she is comparable to Akeno's father Baraqiel. And without a doubt, a Maou level fighter." Azazel noted, as Rossweisse was one of the few who managed to fight against Loki during their battle against the Trickster God.
Rossweisse tossed Jack smacking down like a whip to the ground, the Sin of Wrath's mouth gaping, and her eyes pale white as she had the fight knocked out of her. "You are formidable, Sin of Wrath, Jack the Ripper. I was just a bad matchup against you." Rossweisse ended the battle by launching a small blast of energy that completely enveloped Jack's body.
"Itachi Sitri's Knight, Jack retired. Taken down by Rossweisse. Rias Gremory earns 3 points." Grayfia announced over the speakers, as small particles of blue energy were left behind by Jack who was retired and teleported to the med bay.
Rossweisse grunted, feeling her back was on fire. Her muscles burning from the blades Jack had stabbed her with. "Too bad Asia was taken down… could have used some healing right about now." Looking to the side, Rossweisse saw Issei locked in a fierce battle with Harry Newgate.
Harry was on the winning side, blocking off Issei's simple punches, and dealing heavy counter attacks that knocked Issei off his feet. "No rest…" Rossweisse groaned, as she jumped to join Issei in the battle. Charging up a giant wall of magic circles, Rossweisse unleashed a magical raining bombardment onto a surprised Harry Newgate.
"Two against one? Hmm, too bad for you that still isn't a fair fight." Harry boasted as his aura blew away the smoke of the explosion. Unscratched, and with no sign of fatigue Harry stared down his two opponents.
"Stand up Hyoudou! We need to at least hold him off!" Rossweisse declared, and Issei got back up with a chuckle.
"Yeah, sorry Sensei. I will give it my all!" Issei spread his dragon wings, unleashing a giant storm of red and green power. Issei and Rossweisse both let out a war cry as they jumped towards Harry.
Meanwhile, back in the throne room Rias continued to attack Itachi. "If you fight seriously no matter the enemy! Then why are you holding back now?!" Rias threw a destruction blast that Itachi smacked aside with his bare hand.
"… Maybe because you are not an enemy. Maybe because of my feelings towards you, prevents me from harming you." Itachi no matter what, couldn't bring himself to attack Rias at full force. Haunted by memories of how he tortured Sasuke.
Rias' face softens a little. But she is still frustrated as she clenches her fists. She wanted to show Itachi that she isn't some helpless girl anymore. That she doesn't need Itachi to constantly save her in battle anymore. She wants to appear as more than just a damsel in distress. As she too was haunted, by images of a young four-year-old Itachi standing up to a demonic wolf to protect her and Sona. And Itachi getting absolutely beaten down by Trigon.
Rias still wants Itachi to be there for her, but instead of like a shield, she wants him to act as a supporting pillar for her. Just as she wants to be for him in return. Instead, it seems that Itachi feels that he is just an obstacle for Rias to overcome to achieve her dreams of becoming Rating Game champion. "I don't exactly like hitting you either, dummy. But I know your dream… I want to be there, to support you to reach your dream. Just like I want you to be there to help me grow enough to reach mine."
Rias would always need Itachi by her side. She just wants to be useful to him, to help him. Thus, she came with her demand. "So, get serious already! If you really love me! Fight me seriously!"
At that Itachi sighs, as fire erupts around his body as he enters his Assault Mode. Itachi speed blitzes Rias, and deals punch to her gut that knocks the air out of her. Rias collapses to her knees, coughing. "My Assault Mode, is where my physical strength is at its best. Will this suffice?"
Rias, knowing Itachi could do better was not satisfied despite this form being enough for Itachi to defeat her. "If you have to ask, then it's not enough."
Itachi knows what she wants from him, to go full power against her. "Why are you so persistent with me going all out?"
Rias shakingly stands back up, ignoring the pain in her gut as she sees flashing images of Trigon slashing Itachi's body with his blade. "Back when you fought Trigon… and got so messed up… You looked so beaten, took so many punches while all I could do was just stand there and watch. I hated it!" Tears begin dripping out from under her visors, Rias was crying at remembering such a horrible sight. Seeing her in tears and hearing her words, had Itachi left in awe.
"So, I trained for over a year with my brother… all to get stronger. So, that instead of just standing on the side lines, I could fight by your side! I went this far, I got this strong, because I love you!" Rias' words touched Itachi's heart, as it reflected his own resolve. "My love for you, is my resolve for getting stronger. I wanted to show you today, I wanted to show you the true strength of my resolve. But what's the point, if you are too scared to attack me?!"
Itachi freezes up, and looks in shame. He had basically spat on her resolve by holding back. "You are right… in that case, I will respond in kind. For you, Rias, have also been a part of my resolve to grow stronger." Itachi opens his eyes, revealing his Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan. And the flames of his Susano'o comes to life around him, his fiery armor replaced with ice as he entered "Touki: Frost Mode" giving his Susano'o an icy shade of blue.
Feeling this overwhelming intense pressure of power. Shaking and trembling from the cold feeling in the air. It is at this moment Rias forgives Itachi for having gone easy on her before. Now that she sees him at his full power. Itachi's aura burns away the castle, causing the surrounding area to collapse as he and Rias free fall for a short while before landing back on solid ground. "Originally… I didn't wish to hurt you. Not like I had done to Izumi and Sasuke in the past. But… I realize now, that by not taking you seriously. I have hurt you. I spat on your resolve and love. And for that, I apologize. From here on, we fight for real."
Rias at hearing this, smiles, and seizes her trembling as she unleashes the full force of her own aura. Her Destruction aura burning like a raging giant fiery storm, growling like a roaring monster. "In that case, to make up for it. Why don't we have a friendly little bet? Loser has to do whatever the winner wants~" Rias playfully suggests.
"Heh… That's so like you. Very well, I agree to your terms." Itachi accepts the bet, as Rias prepares her strongest attack. Creating a strong gravitational force around herself, as she pulls in all surrounding debris that gets erased the moment it comes into contact with her aura. In her palm, Rias creates a destruction sphere with spinning rings around it. "Extinguished Star." Tearing up a hole in space itself, Rias formed a black hole of destruction.
'This strong gravitational pull… reminds me of Nagato's Chibaku Tensei. In that case, it has the same weakness.' Itachi forms his full armored upper body Susano'o, its fiery blue icy spectral power creating ten spinning beads of violent destructive power. "Yasaka Magatama Belt Formation." Itachi along with his Susano'o, despite the intense gravitational pull that even drags in light itself, takes a giant leap backwards and flicks the Yasaka beads like shuriken.
Rias pushes her dominant arm forward, and sends the destructive black hole spinning towards Itachi. The seemingly wild thrown attacks of Itachi, all alter their course as they are pulled in towards Rias' attack. Once the spinning beads hit, a giant explosion erupts that completely obliterates the surrounding terrain.
Issei, Rossweisse and Harry seize their own battle, and look in shock as a wide explosive wave spread out towards them. They all make their best efforts to shield themselves, as the blast fully envelops them and the entire Rating Game Dimension.
As the explosion cleared, it revealed the towering form of Itachi's Susano'o standing in the center. With Itachi shielded within it and behind the Yata Mirror. While surprisingly, Rias had endured the blast. Her newly given body armor was torn in several places, its tears exposing her skin. As the blast had hit, Rias had formed a series of defensive magic circles, and with her own attack having absorbed the majority of the blasts power. Rias had managed to survive it, out of breath and on her knees, Rias was still active in the game.
Rias gasps as she senses danger, looking up Itachi is in front of her, and deals a kick aimed at her face. Rias tilts her head back just enough to narrowly dodge the attack, which required great reflexes. But still, Itachi's kick did manage to knock off Rias' visors. The black visors went flying up into the air, and Itachi took his time to gaze at Rias' face aiming to end this with a Genjutsu.
But instead, he saw something he didn't expect. For a split second, Itachi caught a glimpse of Rias' eyes, and he swore they were red. But then, the visors fall back down between them obscuring Itachi's view of Rias' eyes for a brief instant. And once they had fallen down, Rias eyes were blue like always. This moment had caught Itachi off guard, it would have explained Rias' sudden improved physical movements beyond the supposed capabilities of Ajuka's new suit of armor. And how Rias showed such sharp and precise reflexes and moves. He didn't just hallucinate just now, did he? That was the Sharingan he caught the glimpse of just now. But how was that possible?
Rias with her visors gone, quickly reacted to avoid direct eye contact with Itachi. Snapping back to focus on the battle, Itachi rushes in to finish this battle reeling his arm back with an aura of fire charged around his fist. This was the end. Itachi threw his fist forward, and just as it was inches away from Rias' face. A buzzer rang out, and Itachi stopped his fist just in time, and as a result caused small shockwaves.
The buzzer signified that the timer for the game had run out. It was over. "That's time, neither King has been defeated. Thus, we will tally up the total number of points to decide the winner." Grayfia announced, and Itachi backed down and offered a helping hand for Rias to stand back up.
Rias accepted his hand, and Itachi for a brief moment glared at her body. Seeing the tears in her tight suit of armor, with her flesh erotically spilling out around her thighs and chest. Itachi quickly removed his blazer and put it around Rias.
A screen showed the total counted up points for each side, and Esdeath thus declared a winner. "Winner of the Rating Game tournament, Rias Gremory. With a total of 29 points." Rias at hearing the result herself was utterly baffled, as the scoreboard showed 29-26. Rossweisse by defeating Jack, had given Rias the 3 needed points to win.
Itachi smiles, and even claps for Rias who is still stun locked. "Congratulations." Itachi's words have Rias slowly turn her head towards him, needing to ask just to be safe.
"I… won?" Rias whispered, and Itachi nodded to confirm. "I really won? This isn't one of your illusions, is it?" At hearing that, Itachi humorously chuckled.
"No, this is reality." Itachi said, and Rias grew visibly excited. A bright smile spread across her face as she felt all giddy. But was then caught off guard as Itachi began closely inspecting her. "But seriously… are you okay?" Itachi asked, clearly worried if she had gotten hurt too badly.
Rias smiles and hits Itachi on the shoulder. "I'm fine. As you can see. I don't break easily~" Seeing her in a good mood, brought a smile to Itachi's face. "I can see that."
As the crowd cheered, Sirzechs was on his feet clapping his hands enthusiastically, while near tears. Ajuka seeing this slyly smirked at his best friend. "You know, it is reasons like this she is embarrassed by you."
"Ugh!" Sirzechs flinched and sat back down.
"That was amazing, Sirzechs-chan." Serafall herself seemed enthusiastic, although a little pouty over the result. "How did you manage to increase Rias-chan power that quickly?"
"Heh, don't take my sister lightly, Serafall." Sirzechs smirks, looking beyond proud as an older brother. "Rias is a prodigy much like Itachi. In fact, going by the difference in her power compared to mine at that age. I would say Ria-tan's level of potential rivals even that of my own."
"True enough." Ajuka agreed with Sirzechs' statement. After all, despite having not received any concreate training outside of basic demonic power control before Trigon's attempted invasion last year. Rias at the time was stronger than many High-class Devils. "Is that why you focused on building more on her demonic power and body only?"
"Yes. Unlike Itachi-kun, whom focused not only on his own growth in power, but also focused on growing his peerage stronger as well as focusing on building up his skillset, control and efficiency to build up his body. So, in order to give Ria-tan a better chance at catching up. I limited her areas of focus to grow stronger, and mainly focused on her demonic power. Which played a large part in her high growth rate of power." Sirzechs offered his explanation on Rias' growth in power, by focusing to perfect something she already was proficient in, her power grew in a higher rate than most. With the Destruction ability of the Bael family being the strongest form of Demonic power in the history of the Underworld, Rias wielding that power also had that as an advantage.
"Still, Itachi's curious mind to learn new abilities that he discovered over time… has shaped him into the far better warrior." Ajuka acknowledged, as it became clear the moment Itachi had taken Rias seriously how big the power gap between them was. "Itachi grew his power and skillset at a far steadier pace than Rias did."
Sirzechs smiled as he thought back to those first days of training. Sirzechs had been beyond overjoyed that Rias had come to him asking for help with training. Standing at the bottom of a mountain that pierced the clouds themselves. "Ria-tan-"
"Mmm!" Rias groaned at hearing that nickname, causing Sirzechs to grow flustered as he didn't want Rias to turn away from this training.
"I-I mean… Rias. As you know, this is the biggest mountain in the Underworld. It is also where I began my training when I was your age." Sirzechs looked with great nostalgia.
"If memory serves me right… this mountain is twice the size of Earth's mount Everest." Rias mumbled to herself, taking a moment to take in the grand size of this mountain.
"At the top, used to live a beast. A beast that terrified Devils, Fallen Angels and Dragons alike. I would climb up this mountain and fight this beast, until I one day slayed it." Sirzechs demonstrated his story, by creating fiery images through his destruction power showing an image of Sirzechs slaying a giant beast. "Since you want to mimic my training… I will act as the beast waiting for you on the top. The rules are, you have to climb the mountain without the use of your wings. And also, while wearing weighted clothing… let us start with 100 kilos."
With a wave of his hand, Sirzechs increased the weights of Rias' tracksuit that nearly made her fall over. "Whoa!" Rias struggled to remain standing.
"As you make the climb, I will gradually increase the weights of your clothes. See you at the top." Sirzechs flew straight upwards beyond the clouds to the top of the mountain.
Rias began her climb, the higher she got, the less air there was for her to breathe making the climb a lot harder. And the wind intensified, blowing her off the side of the mountain many times. And whenever she got to top, she was instantly faced with her brother Sirzechs in a sparring match. Where Sirzechs would continuously blast her off the mountain, forcing her to climb back up again. This continued for months, until Rias was able to eventually overcome the obstacle that was her brother. Her stamina, endurance and strength having significantly gained a boost from this training. And once the weights were removed, her speed and agility got a significant boost as well. Then came the meditation training to improve Rias' control over her demonic power. This training schedule, was the reason behind Rias' current power level. And Sirzechs, was overjoyed with pride in his sister's progress.
With the battle having been decided, Itachi teleported to the medical bay and was met with the slight bitter faces of his peerage members. Kuroka was pouting in a corner over having lost to Rias. Eto was indifferent and happily kicked her legs back and forth from the hospital bed she was sitting on. Bob, in his petite form hung his head low in an apologetic bow. Damian and Jack both looked indifferent to the loss as well, as they looked to their master. Then there was Raven, not looking in Itachi's eyes out of shame.
Yet, Itachi smiled at his peerage, and instead bowed his head with gratitude. "Thank you all for your efforts." Itachi didn't care about the result after all.
Still, this didn't sit well with Raven, who quickly marched her way up to Itachi. "I'm sorry… I ended up costing you… us the win by giving up." Raven shakingly apologized, but her trembling seized as she felt the firm comforting hand of Itachi pat her head.
"It's fine, it was never about winning anyway." Itachi smiles gently at her, and then brings Raven into a tight embrace. "I am the one who is sorry…" Itachi then looked serious, and Raven flinched not having forgotten what Itachi had said to her as she retired from the game.
With that, the Sins made their way to greet the winning team. Observing from afar, they watch as Rias is given a trophy as a sign of winning the tournament. She accepted it with a smile, a blissful look of happiness reflected on her face that brought a smile to Itachi's face. He was proud, and happy for Rias as this was a step forward for her to reach her goal of becoming a Rating Game Champion.
Itachi's kept his smile up, even as the image of him knocking off Rias' visors repeated in his mind. He couldn't have been wrong about what he saw. The image of Rias' shocked face as her head was thrown back a little from the kick Itachi dealt to her. Her visors flung up into the air, and briefly Itachi caught the sight of Rias' eyes. Red burning eyes he knew all too well, with a standard three tomoe pattern. That was the Sharingan, wasn't it? Itachi was certain about what he had seen, but it shouldn't be possible. Did he perhaps hallucinate? Did someone tamper with his vision? Was this the work of the Unseen One?
Itachi seeing Rias having noticed him, as she left the reporters and the cheering audience, and with purpose ran towards Itachi with a bright smile. Itachi looked baffled as Rias threw her trophy aside and jumped up to hug him, and kissed him passionately while the flashes of cameras from the reporters flashed around them. With a cheeky grin, Rias playfully popped his nose. "I won~" Hinting at the little bet they had made mid battle no doubt.
"Barely." Itachi returned with a friendly smirk of his own as he cupped his hand around her face. "… Congratulations." Itachi pulled Rias in for another kiss, not caring about the spectators. His eyes and focus, were solely on Rias.
"Thank you. But honestly, I have a lot of training I still need to do. If you had been serious from the start… I would have been lucky to last a minute." Rias' fiery determination seemed to have intensified after their battle.
Itachi's mind was still on the Sharingan he had seen from Rias for the briefest nanosecond. He doubted Rias would intentionally keep something like this from him. Especially as Itachi knew what Rias was like when she was either lying or hiding something. "More training, huh? I was quite surprised by your flexibility and movement in that battle. Looked like… Shinobi-like reflexes. Did Sirzechs-sama teach you how to fight like that? Or did you try and imitate me?" Itachi asked in a joking tone, but he was subtly trying to ask about the Sharingan.
Rias seemed a bit surprised at the compliment, blushing as she brushes some of her hair aside. "Well… no. I mean, onii-sama did teach me some basic hand-to-hand combat. But no… I guess, some of those moves just made… sense to use? I don't know how to explain it… just felt like… muscle memory sort of." Feeling embarrassed by her own answer, she avoided eye contact from Itachi. "I'm sorry."
Itachi hums a little in surprise, which further embarrassed Rias as she felt like an idiot giving Itachi such an explanation. Itachi smiles, and grabs her chin to pull her head to face him. Gently looking into her eyes, he kisses her again. "Well, it certainly kept me on my toes for a bit. Perhaps you would like to train together sometime? I can teach you a thing or two. Some of your moves were rather sloppy."
At that Rias scoffed, and playfully punched Itachi's shoulder while smiling. "Shut up." She giggles, sharing a brief chuckle with her boyfriend as she hugs him. "I would love to." Rias was all giddy on the inside, as she accepted Itachi's offer to train together.
Itachi initially smiles, and pulls Rias away from the crowd. Picking up her trophy and handing it over to her. "We need a display case for this." Itachi suggested.
"Pfft, what, want a reminder of the day I kicked your cute butt." Rias playfully teased as she accepted the trophy.
"Careful now, or you will be in for a spanking of your own." Itachi teased back, feeling a little awkward as he did but managed to keep an aura of confidence on him that had Rias' blush.
"Hmm, well… maybe I would like that." Itachi held Rias close as they walked together. Their peerage members holding off the paparazzi, and slowly followed behind their masters. As Rias smiled brightly while holding onto Itachi, Itachi's smile drops as he continues to think of the Sharingan he saw on Rias.
Itachi could tell Rias was genuine in her answer earlier, and trusted her completely. But Itachi knew that what he saw was no illusion or a trick of the light. That was the Sharingan, the more he thought about it, the more he was convinced. Itachi couldn't shake this feeling, that someone was secretly watching him right now. Considering his own origin in this world with the Unseen One, Itachi was firm in the conclusion he had reached. That Rias did not know about this herself, but someone must have done something to her without anyone, even Rias herself knowing. Not wanting to ruin the mood of Rias' victory, Itachi decided to keep this to himself.
The roars of celebration still echoed from the tournament arena, and standing out on a balcony was the Hindu God of Storms, Rainfall, King of the Gods and the God of War, Indra. The God took a long drag of a cigar, blowing the smoke into the chilling night air. "Yo, Azaboy." Indra greeted the Fallen Angel Governor who appeared in a flash of black feathers before the God.
"Indra… You've got some explaining to do." Azazel glared daggers at the God who only scoffed at the Fallen Angel Governor.
"Oh? And do tell Azazel, what is it that I have to explain? Don't tell me the other Gods told you that I was the one who reincarnated Itachi?" Azazel merely shook his head. He knew as much that Indra wasn't involved in that regard.
"Read my mind and find out, King of Hindu Gods." Azazel challenged, causing Indra to drop his smile. Azazel knew, if Indra wanted, the God could cut him down in a second with ease. But that still didn't stop Azazel from confronting the God.
"…" Indra gazed into Azazel's mind, taking in every thousand thought the Governor had by the second. "I see… the Hero Faction, eh?" Indra chuckled, regaining a confident smug look on his face as he leaned in against the railing of the balcony. "So, you know I was their benefactor, is that it?"
"You won't deny it then?" Azazel clenched his fists in anger.
"Hehe, why bother? You seem to have some concrete evidence. So? Azaboy, ask away…" Indra's smug smirk pissed Azazel off, and the way he addressed Azazel like he was a child pissed him off even more.
"Why hire the Hero Faction? Why ally yourself with Khaos Brigade?!" Azazel practically snarled in rage at the God.
"Khaos Brigade? No, no, Azaboy… I hired the Hero Faction, that is true. However, them working with Khaos Brigade wasn't something I knew at the time." Indra's defense wasn't well met, as Azazel dismissed it right away as lies.
"Bullshit! You can read minds! We all know it! You mean to tell me, that you didn't read their minds when you hired them?! Do you expect me to believe that?!" Azazel held in his hand the dagger for his artificial Sacred Gear.
Indra eyed the dagger without any concern. "You have no choice but to believe me. After all, your evidence can't point to the fact that I had knowledge of the Hero Faction being allied with Khaos Brigade. And even if you claim to them that I could have read their minds, I can just as easily say I didn't, because I didn't see the need to. The Hero Faction are all merely humans after all. Why would a God like me bother reading their tiny minds? Besides, I am the King of the Hindu Gods. You could probably tell Shiva and get him on your side and what not. But that is because me and that fucker got issues. Doesn't change the fact, I still have a whole lot of Gods on my side." Indra laid back confidently, as he tossed away the burnt-out cigar in his hand.
Indra then added a follow up point. "Besides, several Gods have a history now of being tricked by Khaos Brigade. Your accusation towards me is valid, true. But at the end of the day, it won't matter. For I am the Lord of the Heavens. And since the old Biblical man died… My religion is the only one with the right to use the name of "Heaven" for we, are the mightiest Gods out of all the Pantheons." Indra pointed out, as his Pantheon had 4 Gods amongst the Top 10 Strongest Beings in Existence list.
"As always you reek of arrogance. I was not too young back then… I still remember when the old man had all members of your Pantheon on their knees." Azazel threw back, which seemed to have irked Indra. In his glory days, the Biblical God had humbled all the other Pantheons singlehandedly. Indra and his Pantheon was no exception to that.
"Clinging onto daddy's former glories, Azaboy? See, this is why… you are still a brat to me. Aww, so sad… after all these centuries, you still can't accept that daddy is dead." Indra taunted the Governor, and Azazel couldn't be bothered to rebuttal the God right now.
"You can claim you couldn't read the Hero Faction's minds all you want… Gods like Odin, Zeus, Amaterasu will see straight through your lies." Azazel's claim was met with a simple chuckle from Indra.
"Don't be so sure… After all, there are a few beings even I cannot read the minds of. Great Red and Ophis for example… And recently I discovered I was unable to read that Itachi Sitri's mind as well. Not to mention a few other Gods." This information was new to Azazel, who seemed to perk with great interest in the subject.
"You couldn't read Itachi's mind? When did you find that out?" Azazel had to wonder, for so far, the Hindu God and Itachi had yet to meet face to face.
"During his game now… I tried to see if my minds inner eye could reach him. I was met with the same damn fog that dammed entity who reincarnated Itachi had." Indra revealed, as it seemed the Unseen One had done more than just give Itachi a physical power boost.
"… So, you are unable to read the Unseen One's mind as well." Azazel mumbled out, and for the first time Indra widened his eyes in utter shock.
"What did you just say?" Indra stood up straight quite quickly, looking very shaken up. "What did you call that entity?"
"Huh? Yes, the entity who reincarnated Itachi… he is called the Unseen One. He recently slipped that information to some of the kids in Itachi's peerage. Still, he remains quite the mystery." At this Indra was absolutely dumbfounded at what he was hearing.
"Wait, wait, the Unseen One? The hooded entity that reincarnated Itachi… that is what he calls himself?!" Indra looks absolutely stunned, even more so at seeing Azazel being clueless to the issue.
"Yes, he left this note…" Azazel showed Indra the note that the Unseen One had left for Raven and Kuroka in Kyoto.
At this, Indra shakes his head in disbelief. "Unbelievable. And you morons still haven't figured it out yet?" Indra looked almost disappointed, then he scoffed. "And you call me arrogant? You Angels, fallen or not, still only care about your own Pantheon. I mean, with this name, he straight up told you who he is!" Indra slapped the back of his hand against the note, looking still absolutely flabbergasted at Azazel.
"Wait… you know who he is?" Azazel mumbled while Indra continued to ramble on.
"And here I thought he was hiding, but seeing who he is now, it is becoming quite clear that he doesn't fucking care about hiding or not!" Indra starts laughing uncontrollably. "Fuck! Seriously?! That fucker…!"
"Wait… Indra! Who is the Unseen One?! Tell me!" At Azazel's demand, Indra only snorts out a laughter.
"Azaboy, this note isn't a clue to his identity, this is him straight up telling you who he is. You see Azaboy, this particular God is known for his invisibility. Hence the title of the Unseen One." Azazel looked down, as he began thinking on the identity of the Unseen One. "If you need more than that, I can tell you his other nicknames. The Wealthy One… the Nameless One… Pluto." As Indra lists the names, Azazel's eyes dawns in realization.
"You don't mean…" Azazel let's out a frightful sounding mumble.
Indra ignores the sense of Azazel's fear and dread, and just shakes his head looking at the note. "You know, any mortal from his land, would maybe have gotten this straight away. I mean, they revered him in such a high regard, they even feared to speak his name. They were afraid it would mean that they would meet him sooner. And for them, that meant death. Maybe that is why you didn't get it… And also, I am surprised. I honestly thought it would be a Shinto God or maybe a Buddha behind all this. Seeing as that Shinobi world is in their territory." Indra is beyond impressed and baffled. "To think, he had such influence… Heh, Izanami's got some answering to do. Letting another God of the Netherworld interfere in her territory."
Azazel was still shellshocked from having reached the answer himself, his legs were shaking uncontrollably. What could he do in this situation? He had to get ahold of Sirzechs, and quick. Indra sighed, looking kind of defeated and down. "You know, I wanted to kill him when I found out who he was… But now that I know. I want nothing to do with him. He is the one God I don't want to get involved with." In the back of Indra's mind, he lightly shivered at the thought of confronting this particular God. "Heh, one of the Trinity Brothers of Olympus… King and God of the Netherworld, Hades." Indra tensed up, remembering his meeting with the other Gods after Itachi and Sairaorg's match.
"You know… me and the other Gods gathered after the match between the Sitri and Bael boy. I learnt that whoever gave Itachi his power was among them. And there were three Gods there I couldn't read the minds off… Odin, Thor and Hades. Now I know why. Heck, I will admit, Odin and Hades are two of the smartest Gods in existence."
Azazel only looks concerned at the revelation. "Great… one of the Top 10. And even worse, it's Lord Hades." Seeing Azazel so distressed, Indra did him a solid.
"Azaboy, you should keep this information close to your heart. I doubt someone like Hades is an Evil God. But still, I wouldn't put it past Hades to sacrifice every other Faction and Pantheon if it meant the survival of Olympus. And if you plan to confront him, you will need Sirzechs Lucifer to be there. He is the only one on your side capable of dealing with Hades. And well, if you want to avoid as much collateral damage as possible. I would suggest bringing that Ajuka Beelzebub along."
Azazel's face looked grim, a confrontation with Hades could have a lot of consequences for them. Indra then continued. "Heh, you know… I speculated that it would have to be a God of the Dead. I was right… I mean, how else would he manage to get his hands on the soul of a mortal? To be perfectly honest, I think Izanami might be a co-conspirator in this. Unless, Hades's invisibility is so great, that even other Gods cannot detect his presence that is… Man, I fucking wish it was Izanami. Her I could handle. But Hades? Nah. Even though Shiva is stronger than Hades, I would much rather prefer dealing with that arrogant destroyer, than I would Hades. He just has that… aura about him that creeps me the fuck out."
Indra got up to his feet, and began walking away. As he walked past Azazel, he patted the Governor on the shoulder. "Good luck, Azaboy." Azazel slumped to his knees, feeling a sense of despair taking over. "Pray that whatever Hades has planned for that boy… isn't malicious."
Meanwhile, in the Greek Netherworld. Within a throne room, seated on a throne made of pure gold and decorated with lavish jewels. Hades, in his business human looking form, leaned his cheek onto the back of his right hand. "A splendid tournament… Despite the end result of that match, Itachi has officially frightened the other Gods, and no doubt made an impact on the Devil High-class society." Another figure enters the room, and kneels before Hades.
"My Lord, preparations are well underway. But are you certain about this plan? I mean, what would Lord Poseidon say if he knew of this? Zeus?" Hades dismissed his servant with a raise of his hand.
"My brother does despise Gods scheming… And Zeus, well, he would probably be indifferent. I can handle Poseidon… Besides, it's not really a scheme. It is merely the work of fate itself." Hades sighs, as he actually looks somewhat apologetic. "Do forgive me brothers and sisters… for not sharing this information with you. But don't worry, your trusted brother will take care of everything."
The servant, a Grim reaper stares at his master in awe. "Lord Hades… I still must ask, are you sure of this? The prophecy could have been wrong."
Hades scowls, causing his servant to cower before him. Hades stared into the crystal ball viewing the tournament causing it to crack. "I cannot afford to take that chance. As the elder brother, I will defend my family, no matter the cost." Hades looks to his loyal subject. "Prepare the Grim reapers, and tell Thanatos and Hypnos to be ready as well. The strings of fate are woven, a crucial point of Itachi's fate is about to come and we must be ready for it. Everything so far has gone as foreseen… Speaking off, have Charon prepare his ferry, we're about to have two visitors joining us." Hades leaned back into his seat with a mischievous grin on his face, as this too was a part of his plan.
At the river Styx, two figures appear on the land of the lost souls. Ghostly wails all around them, reaching out towards them, as the two flip golden coins into the hand of a cloaked hooded ferryman. The ferryman accepts their payment, and lets them on his ferry as he takes them down the river Styx.
Through a fog, with souls of the dead wailing around them, they eventually come out of the fog and before them appears a gigantic palace. The palace was made purely out of gold and embedded in various jewels and gems. Its beauty surpassed that of Olympus itself as it was overflowing with riches. The two figures step onto the shore, and make way to Hades' palace.
The God of the Dead, sits on his throne as the doors to his throne room open and two figures walk in. Hades greets them with a smile, as he sits comfortably on his throne. "Welcome, current Lucifer and Beelzebub. I have been expecting you." Hades greeted both Sirzechs Lucifer and Ajuka Beelzebub. Both Super Devils looking furious as they stare at the God of the Dead.
That's the end for now!
First, I want to apologize for the long wait. I honestly had hoped to have this chapter out months ago, but some stuff came up at work and I didn't have much time to write.
Some may wonder why this ended up being the end result for the tournament. And the answer is, I flipped a coin. Yes, I am serious. I had two endings planned for this finale, one where Itachi wins and one where Rias wins. The reason I decided this way, was because honestly whoever won this tournament had no significance for the overall plot of the story. It's not like Itachi still wasn't the strongest competitor. So I decided to have some fun with it by making two endings. The tournament was mostly to build up certain characters anyway.
To those of you curious, I will go over the crucial event which in the end decided the winner of each scenario. Let us go over the endings. The crucial point of these endings, happens during Raven's battle against Rias, Issei, Rossweisse, Akeno and Asia. In the ending where Itachi would have won. Raven eliminates Rossweisse by losing control over herself. Whereas in the ending where Rias wins, Raven eliminates Akeno instead. Regardless of the endings, Raven ends up regretting her actions, and gives up and retires herself. If Raven eliminates Rossweisse, Akeno would end up eliminated later on during the final battle by Jack who is simply too powerful for Akeno to handle. And in the ending where Rias wins, Rossweisse is strong and skilled enough to defeat Jack. Regardless in both endings, as Itachi fights Rias, he will be conflicted and when he finally goes in at full force after Rias' speech to him, he knocks her around a little showing the difference in their level, and as he is about to deal the final blow the timer runs out. In Itachi's ending, he ends up winning with a total of 31-26-point score. And in Rias' ending, she wins with a score of 29-26 points.
In light of the Rating Game tournament now being over, I thought about going over the difficulty level of which Itachi would go through to defeat the other competitors in a one-on-one fight.
Itachi vs Zephyrdor: Itachi wins beyond negative difficulty.
Itachi vs Seekvaria: Itachi wins negative difficulty.
Itachi vs Diodora: Itachi wins no difficulty.
Itachi vs Raiser: Itachi wins no difficulty.
Itachi vs Sona: Itachi wins no-low difficulty.
Itachi vs Rias: Itachi wins mid difficulty.
Itachi vs Sairaorg: Itachi w/ Divine weapons wins high difficulty. w/o Divine weapons Itachi wins Extreme difficulty.
Also, on another note, now we know the identity of The Unseen One.
Anyway, leave a review!
-Later!
(Responds to reviews):
velniar341: Thanks! I thought it was a fun little touch to Great Red's character. And as for Ophis, while I do agree her turning off a lot of her own powers isn't the smartest thing to do for her. At the same time, Ophis is the most powerful being in this story. And as a result, doesn't think anyone would be stupid enough to double cross her, or attack her. And even if they did, suppressed Ophis is still way too powerful even for the likes of Sirzechs. And also, sorry for your loss. Hope you are doing okay.
Son-Of-Scorn: It's fine if you didn't like the chapter, can't be everyone's cup of tea you know. But I will say this, Ajuka is known to be a curious scientific kind of guy and to be just as obnoxious as the other Maou. So, him giving Rias a new suit to test out in this Rating Game isn't that far-fetched. And, yeah, I will give you that the fights might have been a little rushed. But Issei gaining his Cardinal Promotion form wasn't that different from how he did it in the actual show either. I have a feeling you won't be satisfied with the minor explanation given this chapter as to how Rias won, but I do want to hear your thoughts of course.
zakan: Thank you!
BOKCItachi: Yeah, some elements from Bob's fight was taken from the first fight between Kratos and Thor. And honestly, not a bad suggestion. Itachi could have done the finger Genjutsu once Rias lost her visors. But, he was kind of shocked by something and didn't have the time to do so.
fallendemon248: I try for it to make sense, but as I said in the A/N at the start of the chapter. Was it really that surprising? I would say Rias at this point, by herself is as strong as Kuroka and Eto, if not a little stronger.
Conker9999: Damian is based off an actual irl friend of mine, with also some traits of other characters such as Ban from Nanatsu no Taizai. As for Bob, I can't say concreate who he is based off, as there isn't a concreate answer to the question. Bob has moment that would remind you of someone like Escanor, All Might etc. but other than that I mostly follow the flow when writing him.
Guest: There will be plenty of fights later on where Eto wins, I assure you. Sometimes people lose.
WoodenDraconis: Yeah, Harry is pretty much a combination of Whitebeard and Escanor.
NaruCrazy: Uh, no, Rias is not a Super Devil. She could become one in the future, as her potential rivals her brother's, a current Super Devil. Itachi and Sairaorg were stated to be on the verge of reaching that level, but neither of them are there yet either. The only 4 known Super Devils now, are Sirzechs Lucifer, Ajuka Beelzebub, Rizevim Lucifer, and Raven when she loses control of her emotions. Trigon is way beyond that level, but is not really counted as a Devil so… he doesn't get the title of Super Devil.
Voltrsh: It's fine if you had issues with the chapter and all, but I have to say. I don't see any issue with how Rias was portrayed here. Even in the original show, she is shown to be selfish, prideful and arrogant at times. She still carries those traits in this story, as it is still a part of her Devil nature. In this story she has at times also shown this side of herself before. But hey, to each their own opinion I say.
GuesT: No problem. And don't you worry, I have a surprise planned for our boy Itachi real soon. Let's just say the teasing will end soon.
frazierkindrel: Because I don't like MHA or Bakugo.
Guest: Hey, no problem. I always have Google translate for these types of reviews. I will say this, Rias at this point and time in the story would still lose to Serafall in a fight. When I say Rias' level of Demonic power is higher than Serafall's, it's the same as saying someone has a higher pool of energy to draw power from. Like Naruto, he always had a giant pool of chakra, larger than most, but still wasn't stronger than a lot of characters throughout the story. Rias has just had more opportunities to show off her power compared to Serafall. Also, more of the source of Rias power and display during her fight against Kuroka and Eto was explored in this chapter. Which should explain the reflex and speed thing a little better. Rias currently is weaker than Bob, Raven and Harry out of the Sins. I mean, Raven nearly ended the entire game there for a brief moment. But I must say this, pure raw strength and power, is not always the deciding factor of who wins in a fight. Emotional factors can be at play among other things. I will say this, I always welcome any form of criticism, and I am glad to hear you enjoy my story overall. Now I will say, even though I used Google translate for this review, as many can guess or know, it is not the best translation tool. So, I might have misunderstood some of what you have said. But I think I understood most of what you said.
GuesT: You have quite the creative way of thinking. I can see you have a lot of good theories, and I love it. But even though I can't confirm anything major, I will say you are right on certain points. Maybe not exactly the way you worded it, but it can't be discarded as totally wrong either. Again, I don't want to go into specifics. But I will say one thing you are wrong about. There is no Horsemen of the Apocalypse in this story. Although it was a good guess I must admit.
Kakarotssj: That is very true, and sort of ended up happening. Just not that early on in the game. Anyway, if Itachi had been serious from the start the game wouldn't have lasted very long.
Guest: Thanks!
merendinoemiliano: Thank you!
codywhite162: Thank you! Glad to hear you enjoyed it!
Shank master: The story takes a lot of original turns, it's just that the Raynare arc we'll call it. Was meant as an introduction to Issei and Asia, so kind of had to keep some canon story elements in with their own twists and turns here and there.
ImHateful: Okay, couple of things. One, I am not one to be pressured by my readers to add something or not to my story. I accept certain suggestions, play around with those suggestions in my head to see if I like the idea or not before deciding to implement them into my story. Two, I am well aware incest is heavily implied in both Naruto and DxD. Which is why I originally considered the idea of adding Serafall. Keyword here being "considered", I just ended up deciding against it because I liked the other girls more. Three, yes, I am well aware of the morally wrong things I have included in my story. And I don't deny them. But because this is fiction and thus, I don't really care. So, I am not trying to say it would be morally wrong to add Serafall to the harem. Because I, much like everyone else here know this is fiction. Where let's face it, people throw morally wrongs and rights out the window most of the time. And, I am not saying Serafall would have been a bad choice for the harem, because frankly she wouldn't be. I again, just liked the other girls more. That is all there is to it. That being said, I do completely understand you not wanting to continue reading this story. That is entirely up to. Stay safe out there.
Guest: Sorry for the long wait.
asjtew080901: I don't think it's been confirmed if Fugaku and Mikoto Uchiha were cousins. I know in Naruto certain clans don't breed with people outside of their clan. But we don't know to what extent. Anyway, I didn't add Serafall to the harem simply because I liked the other girls more. And I decided to limit Itachi's harem to 9 girls. I can understand some readers frustration with that choice, but it is my choice. Still, I am thankful to each and every one of you for making this writing hobby of mine more enjoyable. And as for the Rias being the reincarnation of Izumi thing… I mean, is there any point in me denying it any more after this chapter? XD W-Well I mean, could still be something else you know? Hehehe…
Guest: Sorry, but I am too busy with the stories I already have. And I already have a lot of stories I have planned to make for the future.
Guest: No, I did not abandon this story.
Guest/Pedro (pretty sure you guys are the same, if not sorry): Even if I wanted to rewrite the earlier chapters, I feel that would be a waste of time at this point. Maybe I will get to it at some point.
