Meanwhile Lightmaster decides to commit more crimes in New York as the Web Warriors attempts to stop him, Spider-Man will do whatever it takes to get back into the fight and help, even by using his new gifts to see in ways he new did before.
It's September 2nd, time is 6:39 AM in Forest Hills, Queens at the Parker-Stacy residence, Peter is still asleep in the bed as coming out of the bathroom is Gwen all dressed up in a black sleeveless turtleneck top and blue jeans as she finds her husband asleep, Gwen walks up to the bed and grabs a pillow, she swings it onto her husband and made him wake up as Gwen hits him with the pillow again.
"Hey..." Peter had a rude awakening.
"Hey yourself, wake up!" Gwen smile as she hits him with the pillow.
"I'm awake! Is that really necessary?" Peter rubbing his eyes.
"No, but it's fun. Rise and shine sleepyhead, you know what day it is today?" Gwen said.
"Oh right, it's the start of the fall semester, our first day back in college." Peter said.
"You remember? How lucky, get up and get dressed, I'll be downstairs making us some breakfast." Gwen smile.
Gwen walks away as she looks back and blows a kiss to Peter still in bed, he blow a kiss back with a smile as he gets up from the bed. Peter is in the bathroom dressed up in a white t shirt and blue jeans as he's standing in front of the sink brushing his teeth looking at the mirror, he took a cup of water and puts some in his mouth to rinse around before he spits it into the sink.
Sometime later downstairs in the kitchen is Gwen cooking up a couple egg-in-the-baskets and brewing up some coffee in the French Press as she spotted her husband coming downstairs, she uses the spatula to take the bread out of the pan and into the plate, Peter just came into the kitchen and pours in some coffee into the mug, his wife hands her husband a plate.
"Thanks dear." Peter smile.
Peter walks up to the table with a mug and a plate, Gwen is putting her egg-in-the-basket into the plate and grabs her mug, coming up to the table where Peter is already sitting down, the pair started drinking coffee and eating breakfast together.
Peter chewing. "Mmm, still make a delicious Egg-in-the-basket as always, dear."
"Thanks, wish I could do better, I know you still love those wheatcakes Aunt May makes for you, but she's pretty tight lipped about the recipes." Gwen said.
"It's fine, I still like your Egg-in-the-basket." Peter takes another bite.
Gwen chews her food. "Have you heard from Connors?"
"Yeah, he and his family settled down in Florida last July, taken a teaching position at the University of Miami, loving the weather down there, even the beaches too." Peter said.
"Can't imagine how Florida will feel about having the Lizard around scarring the alligators." Gwen smile.
Peter giggles. "So how do you feel about the new guy taking over Connors' post?"
"Never met the guy, but we know that he's the brother of our old teacher, Raymond Warren." Gwen said.
"I remember back then he used to call us his prized pupils, he even recommended us for the internship at ESU under Connors. If he's anything like his brother, I'm sure we'll get along just fine." Peter said.
"You're right, let's finish up and hit the road soon, bridge is bound to be packed." Gwen said.
"Oh right, we're farther away from the school than before, let's not waste anymore time." Peter said.
Peter and Gwen got back to having their breakfast before they leave. Sometime later the couple are leaving the house and locked the door, Peter put on his jacket and walking towards the garage and opens up the door to find the Sportster still parked inside. Peter pulls out the motorcycle as his wife is putting on a jean jacket, he got on with Gwen holding onto him as he starts the engine, he looks back at his wife with a smile, she smiles back and holds on tight, he rolls the throttle and drives away from home heading to college.
Later around 7:55 AM at Brooklyn Visions Academy, a number of students are coming back for their semester, including Miles, Anya, Ganke, and Sam carrying boxes of their stuff while walking around campus as many students are eyeballing Sam Alexander since he went missing two months ago, they've entered the school and make their way to the dormitories but still being eyeballed along the way.
"Everyone sure misses you Sam." Miles said.
"I'm touched everyone still cares." Sam said.
"Well you've been missing for more than two months, can you blame 'em?" Anya said.
"What's the word on my disappearance?" Sam said.
"Word is that you've disappeared last June trying to head for Arizona to visit your old hometown, but ended up getting lost and roaming around America, everyone seems to buy it." Ganke said.
"Good, can't exactly tell everyone that I've got abducted by a group of space heroes and taken to the far side of the galaxy to be train as one." Sam said.
"And trained by a raccoon no less." Miles smile.
"What?" Anya is confused.
Sam smile and sighs. "Don't ask."
"Oh my god!" Danika's voice.
The group turns around to see Danika and Tiana here looking shocked to see Sam Alexander in the flesh.
"Sam Alexander, is that really you?" Danika smile.
"Hey Danika, nice to see you again." Sam Alexander said.
"Sam, do you have any idea what you've put all of us through? Especially Anya who was worried sick for you." Tiana said.
"I know, I thought I could find my own way home without depending on anyone. I'm very sorry I made you all worried." Sam Alexander said.
"Well... it's good to have you back home safe and sound." Tiana said.
Sam Alexander smile. "It's good to be back."
In Manhattan around 8:45 AM at Empire State University, the bell has rang as a number of students are roaming campus heading for class, coming into the classroom for biochemistry class are Katie Bishop, Janice Lincoln, Lily Hollister, Randy Robertson, and Harry Osborn, everyone is taking their seats as coming into the class are Peter and his wife Gwen, everyone is surprised to see the married couple back in school.
"Welcome back Mr. and Mrs. Parker." Harry smile.
"Quit it Harry, we're still the same couple we were last year." Peter said.
"Only married this time and your wife is still lovely and irresistible as always, better get use to all the guys here eyeballing her." Harry said.
"You had to make it weird, didn't you?" Peter said.
"Relax Pete, they can look at me as much as they want, but my heart belongs to you and you alone." Gwen said.
Peter smile warmly as he and Gwen kiss each other before walking over to take their seats, everyone has sat down and waits, coming into the classroom is a 50 year old man with gray hair and mustache wearing glasses carrying a briefcase in his hand as he came up and sat it onto the desk before turning to the students as he sees a few new faces, including Peter and Gwen.
"Good morning everyone, for those of you who are new to my class, my name is Professor Miles Warren, I'm your science teacher." Miles Warren introduced himself.
Time is 12:23 PM at an apartment where Edward Lansky, a former physics professor of ESU, is sitting alone looking at newspaper articles online, he came across one from the Daily Bugle titled "MAD SCIENTIST ACCUSED OF EMBEZZLEMENT", he switches to the Daily Globe titled "EDWARD LANSKY DISGRACED BIG TIME", last but not least is from the New York Bulletin titled "NEW PROFESSOR EXPOSED DISGRACED SCIENTIST EDWARD LANSKY", the article shows a photo of the man who's responsible for publicity humiliating Lansky, Miles Warren. Edward Lansky is ticked off the media dares to mock him in public and showing the face of the man who's took away his life, Lansky picked up the laptop and tossed it in angry.
"Damn you Warren!" Edward Lansky is angry until he regains control on himself. "Those university fools have no idea what I've been spend that money on, what I've achieved."
Edward Lansky walks over to the room where he's been working on some kind of project in secret, a prototype suit all gold and yellow designed by Lansky himself using the funds he embezzled from the university.
"Too bad they didn't see the value what I've built, but they will, everyone will. I'm going to bring the pain on everyone who's ever mocked me, especially that fool Warren, he and everyone will pay big time!" Edward Lansky said.
Later Lansky puts on the suit and test it out for the first time, it emits powerful bright lights all around it, Lansky plans to use it to exact his revenge on the university and the man who publicly humiliated him, a TV in the living room is still on and telling news about Lansky's scandal.
"We got confirmation that Edward Lansky, an ex-physics professors of Empire State University has been caught embezzling funds from the school's science department without authorization, Mr. Lansky is out on bail and still facing trial, but there are hard evidences to support this case, there's no doubt Mr. Lansky will be facing conviction and serious hard time in prison..."
Lansky is ticked off as he test out his suit's function and unleashed a blast of power light energy upon the TV and destroying it with just a flicker of his hand.
It's 3:10 PM at Empire State University, Peter and Gwen are walking around campus heading towards the lab complex. Later inside they're putting on lab coats before entering the lab itself where Miles Warren is doing some research alone, looking through the microscope as he pulls away to spot his new assistants Peter and Gwen standing inside the lab, he got up from the stool and walks up to them.
"So you two must be the assistants who worked for Connor. Hi, my name is Professor Miles Warren." Warren being friendly as he extends his hand.
Peter shakes hands. "Nice to meet you Professor Warren, sorry if I'm being rude in not saying your first name, we just happen to have a friend who also named Miles."
"Oh, no worries, just call me Warren, everyone does." Warren said.
"Okay... Warren, it's a pleasure to meet the brother of Raymond Warren." Peter said.
"You knew Raymond?" Warren looked surprised.
"He taught me and Peter back in high school, called us his prize pupils." Gwen said.
"Wait a minute, I think Raymond mentioned you two before... now I remember, you must be Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy." Warren said.
"It's actually Gwen Parker now." Gwen said.
"You're married?" Warren looks surprised once again.
Peter holds up his hand with the ring. "Since last June."
"Wow, that's amazing, congratulations." Warren smile.
"Thank you Professor Warren." Gwen said.
"I must say, you aren't quite like what my brother described." Warren said.
"What do you mean?" Peter said.
"Well Mr. Parker, Raymond used to tell me that you were pretty much all quiet and shy, but I saw you pulling into the parking lot earlier wearing a leather jacket and riding a motorcycle." Warren said.
"Hey, don't let the bike and leather fool you, I'm actually pretty smart." Peter said.
"Don't worry, if Raymond vouches for you both, then it's good enough for me." Warren smile.
"Then I guess we're lucky to be taught by another Warren." Gwen said.
"I think we're gonna get alone great." Peter said.
"I feel the same way, well... let's get to work." Warren smile.
Meanwhile outside of Empire State University is Edward Lansky wearing a brown coat and a fedora hat looking at the school he use to taught at before he was fired and humiliated, he's got some unfinished business here with a certain someone, he walks towards the university and walks around campus as a few students he's passing by immediately recognizes him, including a couple of campus police officers as they know this man isn't allowed on campus anymore, they walk up to confront the man.
"Hey! Edward Lansky! You're not allow to roam these premises, we're gonna have to ask you to leave immediately!"
Edward Lansky looks back with a serious look. "No."
"Either leave on your own or we'll arrest you, your choice!"
Lansky refuses to leave the university as campus police moves in to arrest the man, but Lansky charged up his suit underneath and caught the cops by surprise by unleashing a light beam onto to the pair of them and sent they back flying as many people around the university all witnessed it and ran away screaming and scared for their lives, Lansky then continues walking towards the lab complex for his revenge, inside the lab itself are Peter and Gwen, they both heard the commotion happening outside on campus.
"Did you hear that?" Gwen said.
"Yeah I heard it. Doesn't sound good." Peter said.
"What's going on out there?" Warren is concerned.
Coming bursting through the lab doors is a man in a coat and fedora hat, he took the hat off and it's none other than former professor Edward Lansky as he spotted the man responsible for his downfall, Miles Warren in the company of his two assistants Peter and Gwen Parker.
"Miles Warren, just the man I wanted to see." Edward Lansky said
"Lansky? This was you?" Warren said.
"Did you really think you and this school have seen the last of me, after you ruined my life?!" Edward Lansky said.
"You did that to yourself Lansky, you stole from the university, you're a criminal!" Warren said.
"If only the university saw what I've created, it would've put this school on top, be its salvation, but now it shall be its damnation. And one more thing, don't call me Lansky anymore, he's now long gone." Lansky said.
Edward Lansky shed away his coat to reveal his newly designed power suit all gold and yellow, putting on the mask as he becomes a supervillain right before everyone's eyes.
"From now on, I am Lightmaster!" Lightmaster said.
Lightmaster raised his glowing hand up towards the guy as Warren, Peter, and Gwen are all being threaten.
"You two, leave now!" Lightmaster demanded.
"No." Peter said.
"We're not gonna leave you to die." Gwen said.
"Suit yourselves!" Lightmaster raised his glowing hand towards them.
"WAIT! WAIT!" Warren steps in front of the couple to protect them. "Okay, okay! I'm the one you want, just let them go! Parker, take your wife and get out of here!"
"Professor..." Peter said.
"Don't argue with me, just go! Hurry!" Warren said.
Peter and Gwen are both leaving the lab together while Professor Warren stayed behind and offered himself to Lightmaster, the couple are leaving the lab complex quickly as they made outside until they stopped running.
"Gwen, go suit up and let our teammates knows there's trouble in ESU." Peter said.
"What are you gonna do?" Gwen said.
"I can't leave Professor Warren at his mercy, I'm gonna go back and try to stall Lightmaster til you come. Now go!" Peter said.
"Be careful Pete." Gwen said.
Peter and Gwen kiss each other before going their separate ways, Gwen is rushing away to get changed while Peter is heading back inside, in the lab Professor Warren is still at Lightmaster's mercy, Peter came back to the door to take a peek at Lightmaster threatening Warren's life, the pair are moving around in circles as Peter takes the opportunity to sneak inside unnoticed behind the tables.
"Look at you, Miles Warren, a rising star in the science department, not so big now are you? You had me mocked, humiliated!" Lightmaster still feeling angry.
"Don't blame me cause you happen to steal funds from the school, what'd you expect was going to happen?" Warren said.
"YOU TOOK EVERYTHING FROM ME! Now you're going to pay for it with your life... goodbye Miles Warren!" Lightmaster said.
Lightmaster means to take his revenge by killing Miles Warren, his hand is about to deliver a lethal blow of powerful light energy onto the man, but Peter Parker came out of hiding and tackled Lightmaster hard and diverted the light beam away from Warren, saving his life as the man is stunned his student risked his life to save his, Peter is pinning Lightmaster down and looks at the professor.
"Parker..." Warren said.
"RUN!" Peter yells.
Ligthmaster is glowing up his suit to push Peter off his back, the villain got loose as he strikes back at Peter in very close range using his hands to delivering a powerful flashing ray of light upon his face, his eyes took in the powerful flash as the villain sent Peter flying across the lab and crashed his back against the table hard, he look very injured as Professor Warren is worried and rushed over to his student's side to see he's very unconscious, Lightmaster is getting back up on his feet and looks very ticked off Peter stopped him from exacting his revenge on Warren.
Lightmaster is pissed. "You shouldn't gotten in my way, kid! You weren't the one I want, but now you made a very big mistake!"
Lightmaster is charging up the powers into his hand as he means to kill both Professor Warren and Peter together, but dropping down from the ceiling window is Ghost-Spider as she drop kicked the villain down, she spotted her husband laying against the wrecked table unconscious.
"Oh no..." Ghost-Spider is worried.
Lightmaster quickly fired his light beam upon Ghost-Spider, knocking her back hard, but she quickly jumps back on her feet still itching for a fight, the supervillain got back up as he's about to face off against Ghost-Spider.
"A hero? Just what I need." Lightmaster isn't pleased.
But he was wrong, coming dropping down from the ceiling are Kid Arachnid and Spider-Girl as they joined Ghost-Spider in the fight against him, he's outnumbered as he looks upon his wrist meter to see that he's very low on power and not very efficient enough to take on all of them together. Warren is by Peter's side as he's making an emergency call while the heroes deal with the villain.
"This isn't over." Lightmaster growls.
All three heroes charged in together for an attack, but Lightmaster unleashed a powerful flash of light as all of them can't get see anything, Lightmaster took the opportunity to fly up in the air and making his escape from the university, the heroes all got their sight back only to find Lightmaster has escaped from their grasp.
"Dang it, he got away!" Kid Arachnid is disappointed.
"Peter?!" Warren's voice.
Ghost-Spider turns around to see her husband is still unconscious, she went over to him to check out his condition.
"Oh no... how is he?" Ghost-Spider said.
"He's still alive, don't worry I called for an ambulance, they're on the way. I should call his wife and let her know about her husband's condition." Warren pulls out his phone but stops at the last second with a sigh. "Except I don't have her number."
"Is she blond by any chance?" Ghost-Spider said.
"Yes, as a matter in fact she is." Warren said.
"I'll go find her and let her know." Ghost-Spider said.
"Thank you." Warren said.
Ghost-Spider is leaving the scene as Warren and the rest of the heroes stayed behind to look after Peter who's still unconscious. Sometime later Warren and the paramedics are wheeling out Peter Parker on the gurney out of campus, Gwen is coming back to the scene in her regular clothes as she spots her husband being dragged to the back of an ambulance, she rushed over to his side.
"Peter!" Gwen running .
"Gwen!" Warren said.
"Peter..." Gwen checking out her husband til she looks at Warren. "What happened to him?!"
"Don't worry, he's still alive... your husband, he saved my life." Warren said.
The paramedics are loading Peter onto the ambulance as Gwen wants to climb up but they stop her.
"Whoa there, miss!"
"I have to go with him, he's my husband!" Gwen explained.
"Okay, let's go."
Gwen climbs into the back of the ambulance with the paramedics and her husband before the doors closed, the ambulance drives away from the University heading for the hospital as Kid Arachnid and Spider-Girl are on a rooftop looking all worried for their friend.
Later around 4:22 PM at the hospital, Gwen Parker is sitting alone in the waiting room, waiting to hear some news on her husband's condition, coming into the waiting room are Miles Morales and Anya Corazon as Gwen got herself up, Anya is the first one to hug her friend, Miles hugs Gwen afterwards as they're worried for their friend.
"Hey, how's Pete?" Miles said.
"I don't know, he's still unconscious when we came in." Gwen said.
"He's gonna get through this, he always does." Anya said.
Gwen smile as a doctor came into the waiting room.
"Doctor, how's my husband?" Gwen said.
"Are you the wife of Peter Parker?"
"I am, please tell me how is he?" Gwen said.
"Not to worry Mrs. Parker, he's going to be fine, we've examined him and he doesn't seem to suffer serious damage, I'd say he's quite lucky."
"Oh thank god." Gwen felt relieved.
"You can go see him if you want, but let him rest and recuperate."
"I understand, thank you doctor." Gwen said.
Gwen walks around the halls with Miles and Anya as they're finding the room where Peter is resting in, she looks around the door until she spotted one with the name "PETER PARKER", she slowly opens up to find Peter resting wearing a hospital gown, Gwen quietly approaches her husband to see he's breathing and resting, he's still alive despite the serious injuries he had earlier, she places her hand on his forehead.
"Pete?" Gwen calling out.
Peter is opening up his eyes upon hearing Gwen's voice and feeling her hand on his forehead, but he can't see her or anything for that matter.
"Gwen?" Peter looked confused.
"Yes Pete, I'm here." Gwen smile.
"Gwen, where are you?" Peter looks confused.
Gwen is standing next to him as she has no idea what's going on, neither did Miles nor Anya.
"Peter, I'm right here, so are Miles and Anya." Gwen said.
"We're right here Pete." Miles said.
"I... can't see you guys." Peter is breaking down.
"Pete..." Gwen is more worried.
"Gwen... I can't see... I can't see..." Peter breaking down more.
"Oh my god..." Gwen is shocked.
Gwen reached out and hugs her husband tight, comforting him during his most difficult time, Peter Parker lost his sight and became blind, his life has changed on this day.
(Later)
Here in the hospital room Peter is all dressed up in his regular clothes as he's sitting in front of a doctor they know all and trust, Dr. Jane Foster as she's holding up a penlight and examining Peter's eyes as he's keeping them open for her, Jane could see his pupils aren't responding to the light, Gwen, Miles, and Anya are letting Dr. Foster do her job as they wait for her confirmation.
Peter still being examined. "Well?"
Jane Foster clicked her penlight off. "I'm sorry Peter, you're officially blind."
"I can't believe this is happening." Miles said.
Jane Foster puts away her penlight. "Care to explain what happened that could've caused this?"
Peter sighs. "I came back to the lab where my new professor was about to be killed by this new bad guy calling himself Lightmaster, I was able to stop him and saved Warren's life, but he caught me off guard and surprise me with a powerful flash of light, at my face in close range."
"I see." Jane Foster said.
"Jane, how serious is it?" Gwen said.
"His retinas suffered major exposure to the rays that's caused this kind of damage to his sight, effectively shutting them off." Jane Foster explained the condition.
"But he's going to be okay, right? Peter had poor eyesight until his spider powers healed them, his healing factor could restore his sights again." Gwen said.
"There's no telling how serious the damage is to his eyes, chances are he might restore his sights or..." Jane Foster said.
"Or..." Gwen is getting more concerned for Peter's situation. "Are you telling us that he might not get his sight back at all?"
Jane Foster sighs. "It's hard to say, all we can do is wait and see what happens, but either way you all have to prepare yourselves, especially you Peter."
Peter sighs. "I understand... thank you Jane."
Jane Foster smile. "Try to have faith, that's all we can do... good luck Peter."
Jane Foster takes her leave from the room as Peter is getting up and trying to find his leather jacket despite his blindness, Gwen steps in and grabs the jacket to hand to her blind husband.
"Here Pete." Gwen holding the jacket.
Peter took the jacket. "Thanks."
Peter is putting on the jacket as coming into the room are Aunt May and Mary Jane as they came as fast as they can after hearing about Peter being hospitalized.
"Peter!" May said.
"Aunt May, is that you?" Peter still blind.
"Yes, I'm right here." May said.
"You guys weren't kidding, you really are blind, aren't you Tiger?" Mary Jane said.
"MJ, glad to hear your voice, wish I could say it's very lovely to see you as always, unfortunately I'd be lying." Peter smiles while being blind.
Mary Jane smile. "Good to see your sense of humor is still intact."
"Yeah, not quite I'd how pictured our first day back in college... did you guys happen to catch this Lightmaster?" Peter said.
"No, we tried to but he flashed a bright light, leaving us briefly blind before he made his escape, he's still on the loose." Miles said.
"I don't get it, this guy could've easily killed us with his powerful fancy suit, but he chose to escape, why?" Anya said.
"His suit must have limits, even though he could harness light, it must take a huge amount of power to do so, burns off so much energy very quickly." Gwen said.
"So he'll need to recharge his suit for another round. Still, we gotta protect Professor Warren, I don't think this Lightmaster is gonna give up anytime soon. Let's go to the Spider-Cave." Peter said.
"Whoa there Pete, you're in no condition to help in this state." Miles said.
"He's right, the best thing we can do is go home and let Miles and Anya take over this mission." Gwen said.
Peter sighs. "Okay."
"I'll call for a cab." May said.
"We'll head out and see if we can track down this Lightmaster, we'll also keep an eye on this Professor Warren just in case he makes another attempt." Miles said.
"Okay... Oh, one more thing! We left the Harley at the university, any chance one of you could bring it by home?" Gwen said.
"I can do that." Anya said.
Gwen tossed the keys to the Harley towards Anya who caught it easily with her reflexes.
"Take care Pete, we got this." Miles said.
"Get well." Anya said.
Anya and Miles are leaving the room together as May is still on the phone to get a cab.
May hangs up the phone. "A cab is coming to pick us up."
"Great, let's go." Peter said.
"Just one more thing, just stay still." Gwen said.
Gwen reach into Peter's jacket as she pulls out his sunglasses, Peter is staying still as Gwen puts them on her husband to cover up his blind eyes.
"Well?" Peter wearing sunglasses.
Gwen smile. "Better, now we can go."
Gwen lock her arm around Peter to guide him as they're leaving the room to head outside. Sometime later they've arrived outside of the hospital and waits for the cab to come pick them up, but Peter is starting to experience things while waiting outside, he can hear so much noises around him and feeling the vibration through his feet as all this is becoming too much for him, Peter is feeling overwhelmed by these experiences as he shakes his head to make them stop as Gwen is notice her husband feeling troubled for some reason.
"Peter?" Gwen calling out.
Peter heard Gwen's voice as these experiences have stopped and he felt calm and in control.
"Huh?" Peter said.
"Are you okay?" Gwen said.
"Yeah, I just..." Peter said.
"Just what?" Gwen said.
Peter sighs. "Never mind... I'm okay."
Gwen says nothing and assumed Peter is alright, but Peter couldn't bring himself to explain what just happened, it felt like his senses are being overwhelmed, never experienced this before in his life, what does all this mean to him. Unknown to anyone down on the street, a mask vigilante is on the rooftop observing Peter Parker being blind, this person has an interest in helping Peter through his toughest moment.
Later around 6:33 PM somewhere in Brooklyn, Edward Lansky is hiding out at an abandoned building tinkering with his Lightmaster suit, he noticed that the high power consumption is very problematic and could complicate everything in his quest for revenge, especially with the heroes in the mix.
Lansky still tinkering. "I should've known harnessing light would take a huge amount of power, still you worked perfectly."
Lansky is installing the new device into his suit that seemed very important.
"This should solve the power problem, I'm still coming for you Warren, you're still going to pay and if those foolish heroes get in my again, I'll be ready." Lansky said.
Lansky is making the necessary preparations for his next encounter with Warren and the spider heroes should they cross him again, he'll be ready for all of them.
It's 10:33 PM night time in Forest Hills, Queens at the Parker-Stacy Residence as Peter is sitting on the couch listening to the TV telling the news about the attack at Empire State University by the Lightmaster who's been ID'ed as Edward Lansky, he felt a bit bored as he's getting up on his feet and moving around despite being blind, upstairs in the bedroom is Gwen speaking on the phone to her teammates on the situation.
"We've been out all day and still no sign of this Lightmaster." Spider-Girl said.
"Maybe he's given up." Kid Arachnid said.
"I doubt it, Lansky was bold enough to attack the university head on just to get to one man, I don't think he'll give up on getting even with Warren, he'll strike again soon." Gwen said.
"We're still keeping an eye on Professor Warren, he's asleep in his home." Spider-Girl said.
"Okay..." Gwen said.
All of a sudden Gwen heard something break downstairs as this has her worried.
Gwen sighs. "Listen, I gotta go, take care of yourselves." Gwen said.
"Will do." Spider-Girl said.
"Goodnight." Kid Arachnid said.
"You too." Gwen then hangs up the call.
Gwen then leaves the room and heads downstairs to find her blind husband in the kitchen with pieces of glass on the floor as he's bending down reaching with his hand, Gwen rushed over to stop him from hurting himself.
"Peter, wait!" Gwen said.
Gwen stopped Peter from having his fingers touching the broken glass shards on the floor, she gets him up standing as she spots a dust pan and brush, she got a hold of them and bend down to the floor to swipe the shards with the brush and putting them into the dust pan, afterwards she puts them into the trash and turns to Peter.
"Are you okay Pete?" Gwen said.
"Yeah, I was just feeling thirsty, wanted to get a glass of water and tried to get a hold of a cup, instead I knocked it off the table, I'm sorry for the mess." Peter said.
"Don't worry." Gwen then grabs a cup and pours in water, she puts it into Peter's hand. "Here."
"Thanks." Peter drank up the water, he finished and says "Ahh."
"Better?" Gwen said.
"Yeah..." Peter smile until he frowns and sighs. "I'm sorry."
"For what?" Gwen said.
"For being such a burden, if only I wasn't blind..." Peter felt guilty.
"Hey, don't you ever say that, you're never a burden Pete!" Gwen said.
"Thought you'd be mad." Peter said.
"I am mad, at Lightmaster for doing this to you, he hurt one of us, he made this very personal. When we find him again, we'll take him down, he'll pay for taking away your sight." Gwen said.
Peter sighs. "What happens if my sight never comes back and I end up being permanently blind?"
"Hey... for sickness and health, I swore to stay by your side, I would never leave you, cause I love you Peter." Gwen said.
Gwen came up and hugs Peter as he hugs her back for comfort, Gwen then reach her head up to kiss Peter on the lips, he kisses back and smile upon feeling better having a caring wife in his arms.
"You really are one in a million, Gwen." Peter smile.
"Don't you forget it... come on." Gwen smile.
Gwen took Peter's hand and guides him away from the kitchen and heading up the stairs, the two made it to the bedroom as Gwen turns her husband around and toss them on his back to the bed, Peter can feel his back against the bed as Gwen is crawling up on top of her husband.
Peter smile. "Really?"
Gwen smile. "Hmm... you might not see me, but doesn't mean you can't feel me, or recognize ever part of me."
Gwen got a hold of Peter's hand and placed it upon her left face, he can feel her soft face and her warmth of her skin, she then guides his hand down her body for him to feel and she leans for a deep kiss on Peter's lips, he's kissing his wife back, his senses are acting out again like before and feeling everything, Gwen's lips taste like strawberries and peaches, her scent is very lovely, the warmth of her skin, her heart beat in passion, these feelings are getting very intense than before as he can't think of anything but wanting to consummate with his wife on this night.
It's September 3rd the next day, time is 7:02 AM in the morning in Forest Hill, at the Parker-Stacy Residence, inside the bedroom is Peter Parker still asleep shirtless in the bed, his ears are acting up as he's hearing drips coming from the sink in the master bathroom as it's making Peter feeling unconformable, he's waking up from the bed as these noises in his ears are too much, he taps his ears softly trying to get it to stop, eventually they did for now, he reaches his hands around the bed to noticed his wife isn't in it, but he picked up something in his nose, a smell of butter being cooked, this scent is familiar. Peter slides off the bed and reach down the floor to find his clothes. Sometime later, Peter is dressed in jeans using the stair rails to navigate himself as he walks downstairs, Gwen is in the kitchen wearing a t-shirt and panties cooking up egg-in-the-basket in the pan, she spotted her husband managing to get downstairs on his own, Gwen left the kitchen and went up to her husband for a morning kiss.
Gwen smile. "Morning Pete."
"Morning Gwen, are you making egg-in-the-basket?" Peter smile.
"I am, how'd you know?" Gwen guiding Peter to the kitchen.
"The nose knows, I just woke up and got the smell of butter in the air." Peter said.
"Wow, you smelled it from upstairs with the doors closed?" Gwen is impressed.
"Yeah, it's strange..." Peter is sitting down with Gwen's help. "Ever since I've lost my sight, my remaining senses felt like they've been dialed to 11."
"Huh? Could be that your remaining senses are trying to compensate for your lack of sight." Gwen said.
"There's just way too much input, especially last night." Peter smile.
"You mean when we..." Gwen smile.
"Yeah... the feeling of everything, it's very intense." Peter smile.
"I'm glad you're happy." Gwen said.
Gwen leans in and kisses Peter as they're both happy despite the hardships they've endured recently, Gwen is coming back to the pan, uses the spatula to pick up the egg-in-the-basket and puts in the plate, she placed it in front of her husband.
"Here you go, dear." Gwen smile.
"Thanks honey." Peter smile.
"Eat up, I have go clean up, Miles and Anya stayed up all night, I gotta head out and keep an eye on Professor Warren, all classes has been cancelled thanks to Lightmaster's shenanigans." Gwen said.
"Wish I could go out there and help, but..." Peter said.
"I know, but for now you must stay here and take care of yourself, you won't do anyone any good being blind as Spider-Man." Gwen said.
"Yeah, I know, just... be careful out there." Peter said.
"I will, Aunt May will be coming by to take care of you." Gwen said.
Gwen smile as she kisses her husband on the lips before leaving the kitchen for a shower, Peter is left alone as he reluctantly agrees to stay here and not get into any hero business in his condition, but this feeling of doing nothing is getting to him, he just accept his reality and eats his breakfast in peace.
Later around 8:31 AM in Manhattan just outside of the Coffee Bean in Tribeca, Ghost-Spider is taking watch of Professor Warren as she spotted the man coming into the cafe that's been operating since 1962, so far Lightmaster hasn't shown up yet as Ghost-Spider is yawning and feeling in need of a drink. Sometime later inside the cafe Professor Warren is waiting for his drink as coming into the Coffee Bean is Gwen wearing her regular clothes and standing in line with the others, the Professor was called for his drink and picked it up as he was about to leave but runs into a student of his.
"Gwen? Gwen Stacy?" Warren looks surprised.
"It's Gwen Parker, remember?" Gwen stated.
"My apologies Mrs. Parker, it's just a surprise to see you around here, especially with all classes canceled for the day." Warren said.
"I know, I just came here to get a drink, what a coincidence I'd run into you here." Gwen said.
"I've been coming here ever since I've moved back to New York, can't believe this place still has the best coffee in Manhattan." Warren said.
"Well the Coffee Bean is an institution for a reason." Gwen said.
"Listen, I didn't have time to ask earlier, how is Peter?" Warren said.
"He's alright, but the attack by Lightmaster took away his sight, there's no telling if it's permanent or not." Gwen said.
Warren sighs. "Gwen, I'm... I'm so sorry, that attack was meant for me, your husband is a brave man, he saved my life." Warren said.
"He has a good heart, but whether he stays blind or not, I won't abandoned him, I love him." Gwen said.
Warren smile. "Peter Parker is a very lucky man to have someone as kind as you."
"Thank you Professor." Gwen said.
"Well, I should get going, I got some research to do, I'll leave you to order your drink." Warren said.
"You're going to the university?" Gwen said.
"Yeah, all my work is still there, and with the school closed, it's the perfect time to spend doing my research in peace." Warren said.
"I see, need some extra help?" Gwen said.
"I appreciate it, but don't you have your husband to worry about." Warren said.
"I've left him under the care of his aunt, besides it's been a while since I've done some lab work. I'd still like to help out, if you'll have me." Gwen said.
Warren smile. "Okay... I'll wait until you get your drink, then we can head for the university together."
"Thank you Professor." Gwen said.
Professor Warren decides to stick around and wait for Gwen to get her coffee drink, Gwen plans to stay close to the Professor in case Lightmaster strikes again.
At the same time back in Forest Hills, Queens at the Parker-Stacy Residence, a blind Peter Parker in sunglasses wearing white t shirt and blue jeans is in the kitchen eating a plate of wheatcakes his Aunt May brought over to help cheer him up during his difficult time, he's chewing and tasting a piece of wheatcake in his mouth as it's gotten to him.
"Hmmm, I miss this." Peter chewing.
"I figure bringing some wheatcakes would cheer you up." May smile.
"Thank you Aunt May." Peter smile.
"Anything for my nephew... how are you holding up?" May said.
"I'm doing my best to stay strong despite being blind, but... it's hard doing nothing while my loved ones are out there risking their lives while I can't do anything about it." Peter said.
"I'm sorry, I know how hard this is for you, you're used to helping people a lot as Spider-Man." May said.
"What's the point in having all this power if I don't have the sight to use them? It's been almost a day since I lost my sight and they still haven't come back yet, maybe it's a sign I should get use to being just Peter Parker from now on." Peter said.
"That might not be such a bad thing." May said.
Peter smile. "Yeah, I have to agree with you on that."
"What do you mean?" May is confused.
"Ah... never mind... thanks for the wheatcakes, always makes me happy when you make them, wish Gwen could've done the same." Peter said.
May listened to Peter's words on her wheatcakes and Gwen, she began to think until the doorbell is ringing, making Peter stand up.
"Wait here, I'll get it." May said.
Peter just stands there while his aunt walks up to the door, she opens up to find a reddish hair blind man in a business suit holding up a stick standing outside on the doorsteps.
"Mr. Murdock?" May said.
"Hello Mrs. Parker, I came by to talk to your nephew if that's okay." Matt said.
Peter coming around. "Matt Murdock? Is that you?"
"Yes, it's me. May I come in?" Matt said.
"Sure thing." Peter said.
Matt Murdock is giving permission to enter the house as he came up to speak with a blind Peter Parker as May is coming up and helping her nephew to the living room where he took a set at one of the recliner chairs, Matt sat down without any assistance.
"Would you like some coffee, Mr. Murdock?" May asking.
"Ah no, I just came to talk with Peter, but thanks anyway." Matt being a gentleman.
"Okay, I'll be in the kitchen, leaving you both to talk, excuse me." May said.
May takes her leave as Peter and Matt are about to talk in private.
"It's been a while, how long has it been?" Peter said.
"Almost three years." Matt said.
"Three years? Oh man, I'm sorry I didn't make the time to see you, I was just very busy between school, my photography job, and being Spider-Man..." Peter said.
"It's okay Peter, I understand, being a hero doesn't give us a lot of free time, especially when you're out saving the world a few times." Matt said.
"Right... so how's the life of a blind lawyer treating you?" Peter said.
"It's been great, Nelson and Murdock has been thriving well in these past years, we're getting a lot of clients, doing so much pro bono work for the neighborhood, making a difference." Matt said.
"That's wonderful, Hell's Kitchen is lucky having you helping the people." Peter said.
"Thank you, I did keep tabs on you, heard that you got married months ago." Matt said.
"I did, best thing that ever happened to me." Peter smile.
"That's great, congratulations." Matt said.
"Thanks." Peter said.
"I've also heard about the situation you're in right now." Matt said.
"You mean my blindness?" Peter said.
"Yes, I just wanted to offer some support, as one blind guy to another." Matt said.
"Thanks, but I don't know how you can help me, I was kinda hoping my healing factor would kick in and fix my eyes, but hasn't happened, not sure if it ever will. Guess I'm gonna have to get use to living blind forever." Peter said.
"Even if you did, it doesn't have to be a bad thing, you can learn to adapt to your new condition, learn to live with it." Matt said.
Peter smile. "Not sure I can, I don't have your so-called Sonar Sense."
"Radar Sense." Matt said.
"My bad, Radar Sense." Peter said.
Matt remains quiet upon thinking of something he remembers about his encounter with Spider-Man and this special sense he's got.
"Peter, you have a special sense too, don't you?" Matt said.
"Yeah, my Spider-Sense." Peter said.
"How does that work exactly? Humor me?" Matt said.
"Well... it's act like a tingling feeling I get in my brain, it warns of danger and allows me react to that danger very quickly, it's also very effective in combat." Peter describe his Spider-Sense.
"Hmm, I see." Matt is thinking of something new.
"What are you thinking?" Peter said.
"Peter, have you ever thought of using your Spider-Sense in ways you never done before?" Matt said.
Peter is curious. "Such as?"
Matt is standing up on his feet. "Let's go."
"Go? Go where?" Peter is curious.
"We got some training to do." Matt said.
Peter is very confused as to what Matt is scheming, Matt Murdock thought of a solution that'll solve Peter's blindness and it involves training to use his Spider-Sense in a way he has never done before in his life.
Later around 9:02 AM at Empire State University, the whole school is closed down after that incident with Lightmaster yesterday, walking about campus are Gwen and Warren with their cups of coffee as they're heading to the lab complex while chatting.
"So long have you and Parker been in each other's lives?" Warren said.
"Since we were ten, we've been best friends for years, when we were 15 we started having feelings for each other, in time we started dating since then, and recently we got marred at 18." Gwen said.
"18! Wow, that's impressive." Warren is impressed.
"How about you Professor? You have anyone?" Gwen said.
"I did, her name's Monica, we've met in college, fell in love, got married at 21, you actually remind me of her, blond, smart, and very kind, just like you. She was my great love." Warren said.
"Was?" Gwen said.
"She passed away... many years ago. It was a rainy day and there was a car accident, she and our kids all died on that tragic night." Warren said.
Gwen sighs. "I'm very sorry."
"Thank you... life goes on, you and Parker remind me so much of me and Monica, we were so happy and love, it took only one tragic moment to end that happiness, we both thought we had all the time in the world, until we didn't... spend as much time with your love as you can." Warren said.
Warren is saddened remembering the tragedy of his late wife and advises Gwen to spend much time with her husband, Gwen is reminded of the time she almost lost Peter at the hands of Carnage, it still gets to her sometimes as the life she and her husband lives by is of constant danger where any moment could be the end.
It's 9:35 AM in the Jackson Heights, Queens, the neighborhood is packed with so much hispanics and south asians walking around the sidewalks, it's also home to many shops and restaurants, on the rooftop next to the elevated railway are Peter Parker and Matt Murdock as the two are about to do some training, Matt chose this spot for a reason as they needed the privacy, but also needed the environment to do the training required.
"Okay, why are we on a rooftop?" Peter still blind.
"We needed the privacy." Matt said.
"What if someone sees us?" Peter said.
"There's no one on the rooftops beside us, other than a few pigeons." Matt said.
Peter smile. "Right, who will they tell? So why are we really here?"
"Like I said, we're gonna do some training, I'm gonna teach you to see again." Matt said.
"What? How?" Peter said.
"It's simple, the key lies with your Spider-Sense." Matt said.
"My Spider-Sense? I don't understand?" Peter said.
"Peter, ever since you lost your sight, have you notice anything different about yourself lately?" Matt said.
Peter is remembering something recently. "Yeah... now that you've mentioned it, my other senses has been acting odd than normal."
"Odd? How?" Matt said.
"Lately I've been hearing things, getting these trembling feelings in my skin, even my sense of my smell seemed higher than normal. I don't have any very little control over them, it comes and goes, am I getting worse?" Peter describes his experiences.
Matt is pulling out a set of keys from his pocket as they jingle, making a distinctive sound for Peter to hear, Matt then tossed the keys towards a blind Peter Parker as his spider-sense tingles in his head, the waves in his brain are giving him a distinct 360 vision picture of his surroundings, the keys are coming towards him as he Peter quickly caught them in his hand very easily, this whole thing caught him by surprise.
"Just as I thought, you're not getting worse, if anything you're getting stronger than you ever thought possible." Matt said.
Peter is still in shock. "Oh god... how did I do that?"
"As I suspected, there's another side to your Spider-Sense you yourself didn't realize you had. What did you experience this time? Describe it?" Matt said.
"It's strange, my spider-sense was tingling, but this was different, it felt like I could see everything around me, but not in a normal sense, like it was coming from inside my head, when the keys were coming at me, I got somewhat of a picture, I knew in that moment what was coming, I reacted and caught it... how is that possible?" Peter is still processing it.
"From what you're telling me, you used your spider-sense in the same manner I use mines." Matt said.
"Are you telling me that I got a radar sense too?" Peter said.
"Undeveloped, but yes." Matt said.
"So there is a way to see again and it lies with my spider-sense, so this should be a piece a cake for me." Peter said.
"Easier said than done, like I said, yours is still undeveloped, you don't have any control over it yet, you need to learn to adapt to your new gift, otherwise it can easily be used against you, something I learned as a kid." Matt said.
"You told me your story once, you had an accident when your eyes were doused in radioactive waste and you lost your sight in the process." Peter said.
"After my father was murdered, I was left alone raised in an orphanage, my senses were getting too strong and I felt everything, it was too much for me and I had no control over them, everyday was a struggle, even in night, never allow me to sleep, never let me have any peace, I was only a kid and I've never felt more afraid in my life, it made my life very difficult." Matt describe the hardships he endured.
Peter sighs. "I'm sorry."
"That's why I want to help you, so you never had to go through the hell I've been through as a kid, to live in absolute fear." Matt said.
"How'd you do it?" Peter said.
"The man who trained me to fight, Stick, he taught me to harness my new gifts, use them in a ways no one ever thought was possible, with time and training, I grew from being a scary blind kid to being the Man Without Fear, even now, everyday I fight fear and I refuse to lose to it." Matt explained his past.
"You must have so much courage to overcome such fears in your childhood." Peter said.
"Now it's time for you to do the same, if I can learn to beat my fears as a child, so can you, you can overcome your fears and learn to see in a ways you ever thought was possible. So tell Peter, do you have the will to overcome your fears? Are you willing to learn to fight them?" Matt said.
Peter nods his head. "I am... teach me."
Matt smile. "Very well, let's get started. First, you have to open up your senses and see your surrounds. Can you tell me where we are now?"
Peter uses his other senses to navigate his surroundings of the neighborhood he's in, he can hear voices all around him, speaking mostly hispanic and some talking in other languages, the air is giving off a distinct oder of different kinds of food being cooked nearby as these scents are very familiar, but he can feel the vibration coming in close from a el train coming from a distance, Peter is putting the pieces together and figured out where he is.
"We're still in Queens, my guess... in Jackson Heights." Peter said.
"How do you know this?" Matt said.
"I can hear voices down below, most of them are speaking Spanish among others, most likely Indian." Peter describes.
"Good, what else?" Matt said.
"The air is giving off so much scents, one of them being the scent of Colombian hot dogs being made." Peter describes some more.
"Is that all?" Matt said.
"There's an el train coming our way, I can hear it coming in close, feel the vibrations growing stronger at my feet." Peter said.
"Very good, you're learning very quickly, now comes the hard part, learning to focus your senses, be ready!" Matt said.
"Ready? Ready for what?" Peter said.
The el train is coming by about to make a stop with it's trains wheels screeching against the rails and making a very loud distinct sound as Peter can hear it loudly in his ear and in his spider-sense, it's overloading all his senses making it harder for him to see around him as he has his hands on his head feeling too much of it as Matt Murdock knows this was going to happen to him.
"Peter! Focus! Listen to my voice!" Matt calling out.
Peter is still feeling sensory overload in his head as this is intensifying his fears, making it very hard but he can somewhat hear Matt's voice among the mix noises saying "Peter, focus on my voice." Peter can still feeling too much as he fights through them and focus on Matt's voice through so much noises around him, he's concentrating and focusing on Matt's voice.
"Peter, can you hear me?" Matt said.
Peter smile. "Matt, I can hear you!"
Matt smile. "Good."
Peter is managing to control his senses and overcoming his fears. Later on the rooftop, Peter and Matt are sparring against each other, Matt is tossing in some punches while Peter bobs and weaves each of the punches, he could feel the punches coming despite feeling blind in the eyes, he sees things differently this time.
"I'm impressed, how quickly you're able to avoid all my punches." Matt said.
"I remember my first training under Madame Web, she too is blind and she manage to best me with very little effort." Peter said.
"If she's blind like you are now, then she must've mastered her spider-sense in the same fashion I'm using my radar sense." Matt said.
"Huh, I had no idea there was more to the spider-sense than just the warnings, she never told me." Peter said.
"Does she tell you everything?" Matt said.
"No, she doesn't tell me everything, most but not all, that woman loves her riddles." Peter said.
"Maybe at the time you couldn't use your gift since you still had your sight, but when you lost your sight, it must've unlocked the other side to your spider-sense. Lucky for you, I'm here to train you to control it. Let's continue training." Matt said.
Later afterwards Matt is running and leaping across the rooftop as Peter is following, he jumps up across to the other rooftop and landed safely. His new sense allows him to see in a way he never imagine was possible.
Peter giggles. "This is so awesome!"
Peter found an alternative way of seeing thanks to the training Matt Murdock provided, now Spider-Man will be back in action soon.
It's 12:22 PM at Empire State University, Professor Miles Warren is doing some research with the assistance of Gwen Parker, he looking through the microscope as Gwen is pulling out her phone and thinking whether to call and check in on her husband on how he's been holding up, Warren took his eyes away from the microscope to see Gwen with a phone in her hand thinking about making a call.
Warren sighs. "Gwen, listen, if you want to call you husband, you can go and take a break."
"You sure?" Gwen said.
"Yes, it's important to check in on your love ones, so as your professor, I'm telling you to take a break, go call your husband, he needs you." Warren said.
Gwen smile. "Thanks Professor."
Gwen is getting up and leaving the lab to take a break as Warren got back to his research, coming outside the lab complex is Gwen as she's all alone and dials Peter on the phone.
(Time Square)
Just on the rooftop of Time Square is Spider-Man sitting on the ledge having a hot dog, he's still blind in the eyes but his new gifts allows him to see thing differently than ever before, he can hear everything down below as all those noises are creating radar waves bouncing off anything or anyone, giving him a picture of the whole area, he's starting to adapt to his new sense, his phone is ringing as he pulls it out of his utility belt, he tap on the answer button and puts the phone to his ear.
"Hello?" Spider-Man said.
"Pete, it's me, Gwen." Gwen's voice.
"Gwen, hey honey." Spider-Man sounded happy.
"I'm just calling to check up on you, are you still at home?" Gwen said.
"No, I'm here hanging above at Time Square." Spider-Man said.
"Wait, you're what?" Gwen said.
"You heard me, I'm at Time Square." Spider-Man said.
"How'd you get there? Are you okay?" Gwen sounded very worried.
"Yeah, I'm fine... actually, I'm better than fine, you're not gonna believe what happened to me?" Spider-Man said.
"What is it?" Gwen said.
"Well..." Spider-Man said.
But something unexpected has happened as the phone got cut off for some reason, Gwen at ESU got cut off as she has no idea what's happening at Peter's end. Back in Time Square all the power around here has gone off for some strange reason as coming flying above Time Square is Lightmaster glowing and draining power from any nearby devices to power up his suit, Spider-Man is still blind as he uses his radar sense to see something flying above in the air and making a very familiar south.
"Oh no... it's him." Spider-Man said.
Lightmaster is heading down southwest as Spider-Man knows what's in that direction, Lightmaster is heading for Empire State University to have his second attempt in his revenge against Professor Warren, Spider-Man is worried for his wife who's already there to protect the man, she could end up getting hurt, Spider-Man is still new to his new sense and haven't fully mastered it yet in actual combat, but he can't ignore that his wife is in danger, he jumps off the rooftop as he uses his spider-sense to navigate his surroundings in the same manner as the Radar sense, he's able to see everything around him and swings through the neighborhood, Lightmaster is moving very fast as Spider-Man is swinging faster trying to follow and catch up before he loses him.
Around 12:41 PM back at Empire State University, Gwen is still outside attempting to dial her husband back again, but for some reason she's can't reach him, all of a sudden her phone died out too, completely drained of power, she the sees Lightmaster flying over her as he's on top of the lab complex, inside the lab itself the lights are completely off , The whole lab is completely dark without power as Professor Warren has no idea what's going on, Lightmaster unleashed a light construct in the form of a fist, he punched down onto the roof as the celling inside the lab came crumbing down and made Professor Warren spooked, coming through the ceiling is Lightmaster himself to confront Miles Warren again.
"You again?" Warren said.
"That's right Warren, we got some unfinished business." Lightmaster still wants revenge.
Outside of the lab complex Gwen is still outside until she spotted Spider-Man swinging this way, he can sense his wife on the ground as he jumps down and landed in a three point stance.
"Hey honey." Spider-Man said.
"Pete, how did you..." Gwen is stunned.
"Long story, is he inside?" Spider-Man said.
"Yes, so is Professor Warren." Gwen said.
"Okay, I'll go inside and save him." Spider-Man said.
"Wait, is your sight back?" Gwen said.
"No, but I don't need my eyes to see, I found another way of seeing." Spider-Man said.
"How?" Gwen said.
"Like I said, long story, I'll tell you when this is all over, for now I got a professor to save." Spider-Man said.
"Be careful Pete." Gwen said.
Spider-Man gave the OK with his fingers to his wife before jumping up to the roof, inside the lab itself Lightmaster still has Warren in his sights as he plans to take the time to talk to the man before he takes his life.
"Is this your solution, Lansky?" Warren said.
"I had it all, a great career, when Connors left, I thought this was my chance to shine, to take my rightful place, to have my own lab to do research, I was gonna get some respect until you got in my way and took what should've been mine." Lightmaster said.
"Connors gave me that position." Warren said.
"But that wasn't all you did to me, you had me reported to the university board, had me fired and public humiliated, my entire life spiraled from then on cause of you. Now I'm gonna get my chance to get even, by ending your life." Lightmaster said.
"You're a very sad man, Lansky. This is how you deal with it? By killing me?" Warren said.
"What about you, Warren? How do you deal with it?" Lightmaster said.
Warren remains stunned upon hearing these words, unknown to anyone here Spider-Man is on top of the roof sneaking around, he uses his new senses to listen in on the conversation between them.
"Don't act so surprised, you didn't think I did my homework on you, Professor? I know everything, you once had it all, a great career, a wonderful wife and two lovely children." Lightmaster said.
"Stop it..." Warren is feeling ticked.
"Until that one tragic night..." Lightmaster said.
"Shut up..." Warren doesn't want to relive it.
"A car accident happened, your beloved Monica died along with your kids... so tell me, how do you deal with it?" Lightmaster taunts.
Warren is tearing up upon Lightmaster reopening old wounds Warren had in his past from losing his family.
"Did I hit a nerve, Warren? My bad, but just to show you I'm not too heartless, I'm gonna help you reunite with your dear family." Lightmaster charged up his power. "Prepare to meet them in the afterlife."
Lightmaster is about to kill Warren after he's done taunting him, Lightmaster forms up a construct of light in the form of a long blade, but Spider-Man came in through the ceiling and drop kick Lightmaster and diverted his powers away from killing Professor Warren, Spider-Man landed on his feet as Warren is relieved his life was saved a second time only this time by Spider-Man himself.
"Spider-Man." Warren said.
"That's me... get to safety." Spider-Man said.
Professor Warren took the opportunity to make a run for it as Lightmaster is recovering his strength only to find his hated enemy escaping death once again and the person responsible for stopping him a second time is none other than Spider-Man.
"So you must be the Light man I've been hearing so much about?" Spider-Man said.
"It's Lightmaster, and you just got in my way." Lightmaster isn't too happy.
"You've hurt too many innocent people, this has to stop now." Spider-Man said.
"I won't stop! Warren needs to pay! I'll never stop until I get my revenge and I'll get rid of anyone who stands in my way!" Lightmaster said.
"Then I guess we're done talking." Spider-Man said.
Lightmaster is glowing and hovering himself up as Spider-Man can sense the enemy hovering up as his suit is giving off a distinctive heat signature as well as some noise, Lightmaster is forming a pair of light fists as he unleashes them upon Spider-Man who can sense it coming, he flips away and avoids any attacks Lightmaster is throwing at him, Spider-Man is running and flipping around as Lightmaster is having trouble hitting his enemy who's moving too faster.
"Stay still, insect!" Lightmaster said.
"No, you can't keep this up, I know about your suit's limits, how much power it burns off." Spider-Man said.
Lightmaster then stretch his light arm and moves it to strike hard on Spider-Man, managing to hit his enemy with a single swipe of his constructed arm, Spidey crashed himself against a wall hard, Lightmaster's suit isn't powering down anytime soon.
"I fixed it, thanks to a power siphoner I've installed, it drains any electricity from any nearby sources, which means I have so much power to spare. I'm now invincible!" Lightmaster drunk with power.
"Even with all that power, doesn't change anything, you're not invincible, in the end you're still that same disgraced professor who will never cut it again in the science department." Spider-Man taunts.
Lightmaster is ticked off Spider-Man dares insult his ego as he unleashed more light constructs upon the hero, Spider-Man jumps away and swings around using his new sense to find an opening, Lightmaster is still tossing in more constructs but Spidey is moving too fast to get a hit, he sense an opening through all those attack, he stop dodging and charged in swinging towards Lightmaster who forms up more constructs and unleashes them towards the hero, Spidey can senses the attacks coming as he still evade any incoming attacks, Lightmaster is panicking as the hero is getting through all his attack, Spider-Man came in closer and strike hard with a hard punch to Lightmaster's face, knocking the supervillain down in the air.
Lightmaster fell down on the floor as Spider-Man landed on his own two feet, he walks up to the villain and focuses his senses to locate the power siphoner somewhere on Lightmaster's suit, he can feel the heat and humming sound coming from the back, he turns the man around and senses where the device is, he reached out and took it, ripped it from his suit and left Lightmaster completely depowered. Spider-Man can feel the power siphoner in his hand still on, he crushed it with his strength, the lights suddenly turned back on and the whole lab is bright again, Spider-Man turns to a de-powered Lightmaster down on the ground.
"Like I said, you're not invincible, and you're under arrest." Spider-Man said.
(Later)

"I can see my hand, but it's still blurry." Peter said.
"But this is good news, it means your healing factor are finally repairing the damage to your retinas, the rest of your vision will be healed soon." Jane Foster said.
"I'm glad, can't exactly work as a blind photographer, I don't what else to be." Peter said.
"You would've figured it out, cause you proved you have the strength to keep on going, despite being blind." Gwen said.
"Well... I had some help, speaking of which, I should go and see an old friend, though my vision isn't a 100 percent yet." Peter said.
"Not a problem, I have just the thing for the time being." Jane Foster said.

"Hate to break it to you, but you've always been dorky... but it's cute." Gwen smile.
"She's right, chicks dig that." Mary Jane smile.
"Yeah?" Peter said.
"Yeah... I still chose to be with dork I married." Gwen smile.

"Pete?" Gwen said.
"Sounds good, why don't guys head on to Joe's? Gotta make a stop first, I'll be there soon." Peter walks away.

I just came by to thank you for all the training you gave me when I felt lost, made me see another side to my spider-sense didn't think I ever had, it came in very handy recently... thank you Matt, for turning me into the Spider-Man Without Fear." Peter said.
Matt smile. "Happy to help out a friend in need."
"And to be honest Matt, being blind for a time, it did gave me a small glimpse of what you had to live your life through everyday, and... I envy you, despite all the hardships and losses you've endure, living your life being blind, you still manage to find a way to keep on going, making a big difference as Matt Murdock and Daredevil, shows that you have such amazing strength, I envy you a lot." Peter said.
"Thank you Peter, means a lot coming from you, and to be honest Peter, you have such great strength too and I envy you for the person you are today, you made a big difference for the world and for this city, you gave the people hope, you even gave me hope when I had given up being a hero for a few years, made me realize I can still do better for Hell's Kitchen as Daredevil, so... thank you Peter Parker, for giving me hope." Matt said.
Peter smile. "Glad I could inspire you, Hell's Kitchen is lucky to have you helping the neighborhood and it's people as both Matt Murdock and Daredevil."

"If you ever need legal help, you know who to call." Matt said.
"I'll keep that mind, thanks Matt." Peter said.

"You think so?" Peter said.

"Taste like wheatcakes too, doesn't it?" Gwen smile.
"Yeah, how?" Peter is surprised.
"Remember last night I was at your aunt's house, she showed me her recipes, taught me how to make them." Gwen said.
"Wow, that's very kind of her, she usually doesn't share her recipes with anyone." Peter said.
"She figured it was my time to take care of you, I hope you like them Pete." Gwen said.
