All Valley:
Miguel, Samantha, Demetri, Aisha, Yasmine, and Moon were all sitting together in the cafeteria listening to Counsellor Blatt tell them "We are all aware of the events that occurred in this very cafeteria only last week. Well, I'm here to tell you that actions like that are not tolerated in this school. Here, we treat each other with respect and when we have disagreements, we use our words. Kind and respectful words that solve our differences, not create them. Any more actions like what occurred here last week will immediately be suspended. These actions are not welcome here and will be dealt with seriously. Thank you".
Counsellor Blatt left, and Moon asked Demetri "How is Eli".
Demetri answered "I don't know. He hasn't responded to any of my texts and he's not here".
Miguel asked, "Do you think we should go to his house".
Samantha said "I think he really wants to be alone right now. He's not even here".
Yasmine remarked "Yeah, I didn't think he ever skipped school, you know. Being a nerd".
Moon exclaimed "Yas. He's not a nerd. And he's probably not here because he's upset over what happened last week. I know I still am".
Yasmine said, "I wasn't meaning to be rude".
Samantha said "Well, you were".
Yasmine responded "I'm sorry. Can we just stop talking about him. You know when I was walking to class yesterday, I heard Counsellor Blatt and Principal Newman expelling Kyler and suspending Brucks and the rest of them".
Demetri asked "Really".
Yasmine responded "Yeah, heard it myself, Dork".
Demetri yelled back "You know what. I'm sick of you calling me names. My best friend was in the hospital, and you can't stop being a bitch for five minutes and treat us like normal people. Or even friends".
Yasmine was shocked by the response and saw that everyone had turn to her. She looked around and for the felt time felt really bad about what she said and has said to people. She said, "I'm sorry" and left the cafeteria upset.
As they watched her leave Hawk entered the cafeteria and upon seeing him Demetri exclaimed "Eli. You're. You're here".
Hawk responded, "That's right Demetri but you all can call me Hawk if you want".
Miguel asked "Hawk".
Hawk said "It's my new nickname. My sensei gave it to me".
Miguel asked "Sensei".
Hawk answered "Yeah, I joined a dojo".
Samantha asked "What dojo. Topanga".
Hawk answered "Cobra Kai".
Miguel asked "Why didn't you let Sam's dad teach you. He's a great sensei and taught me a lot".
Samantha said "Yeah, and he's willing to teach. He will help you Eli".
Hawk answered "I thank you both for the offer but I'm happy with Sensei Lawrence. He's teaching me how to kick ass".
Miguel said, "That's not what karate is Eli".
Hawk responded, "It's not what your Karate is. I'm not going to be a pussy and wait for the enemy to strike first".
Demetri said "Pussy. Strike first. This is not like you Eli".
Hawk retorted "No. This is not like this old me. The me that was a loser. That everyone made fun of. The one that no girl would ever go out with". Hawk turned to Moon and said, "I'm never going to be that guy anymore". He turned to Demetri and said "Never". Hawk left and the school bell rang. Everyone was shocked to see Eli like this.
Hawk was sitting in History when Moon entered and sat down next to Hawk. Moon said "Eli".
Hawk respond "Moon. I know what you're going to say. This is a change but it's a change that I need to make".
Moon said "You don't need to change yourself Eli. You're perfect just the way you are".
Hawk retorted "You mean the loser that got beat up and bullied because of my lip. No, I need to change. I needed to flip the script. I needed to learn how to fight. Not just for myself but for you. Nobody will ever hurt you again".
Moon got up and said "I don't need to taken care of. I can look after myself. And I don't need any man to do anything for me. So, if this is why you changed, you can change back because I don't need it". Moon left to another seat and Hawk was upset that he didn't make progress with Moon and pushed her away.
Hawk knew that he had to do something and after class chased after Moon calling out "Moon. Moon".
Moon sighed and turned asking "What is it, Eli. Because I don't want to hear anything about protecting me".
Hawk said "That's not what I meant. I said it wrong. What I meant was that I felt unworthy of you. Kyler was right. I am a loser and didn't deserve to go out with a girl like you. That's why I did this, so I could be worthy of you. That's all I want. And if Kyler does try what he did again. Make him regret ever hurting you".
Moon smiled and said "Well, you don't have to worry about Kyler. He's been expelled. He can never hurt you or me again".
Hawk responded, "Well I'm happy to hear that".
Moon said "And about being worthy of me. Don't ever think you weren't. I meant what I said when I said that I'd go out with you. I do what to go on a date with you, Eli".
Hawk responded, "Then Friday night it is".
Moon agreed "Friday". Moon then kissed Hawk and after the kiss she said, "See you then". Moon left and Hawk was happy that he was making progress and actually going on a date with Moon.
Miguel arrived at LaRusso Auto for work and immediately went straight to Daniel. He said "Mr LaRusso. Can we talk".
Daniel answered, "Of course Miguel". He then turned to his customers and said, "Anoush will look after you". He then called out "Anoush. Anoush". He then gestured to Anoush that he wanted him to look after the customers and then Daniel told the customers "Thank you for coming to LaRusso Auto". Daniel and Miguel walked off and Daniel asked, "What is it Miguel".
Miguel answered "It's my friend Eli. He's having trouble at school".
Daniel retorted "Is this really a problem that you need to take me away from customers".
Miguel answered "Yes. He's joined a Karate dojo".
Daniel responded "So, there are a lot of Karate dojos. He doesn't need to learn from me. At least he's trying to defend himself".
Miguel said "That's not it. It's what he's learning. He's not learning balance or defence. He's learning about striking first and defeating his enemy".
Daniel was concerned hearing about this because it reminded him of Cobra Kai and Daniel asked Miguel in fear "What's the dojo's name".
Miguel responded "Uh, Mr LaRusso I don't think that's the problem".
Daniel demanded "What is the dojo's name".
Miguel answered "Cobra Kai. He said he joined Cobra Kai".
Daniel was horrified to hear that Cobra Kai had returned to the Valley and immediately walked out of the dealership. Miguel was stunned to see this and Amanda seeing this called out "Daniel. Daniel". She then turned to Miguel and asked, "Where is he going".
Miguel answered "I don't know. I just talked to him, and he just did that". Amanda and Miguel then watched Daniel drive away from the dealership at speed.
Daniel went straight to his dojo and to the picture of Mr Miyagi. Daniel said "Cobra Kai's back. I don't know how but it's back. It's back and teaching kids the wrong lessons. Not what you taught me, or what I'm passing onto Samantha and Miguel. It needs to stop. I need to stop it, but I don't know if I can without you. I wish you were here Mr Miyagi. I need you more than ever now".
Amanda and Miguel entered the dojo and Amanda asked "Daniel. What's wrong".
Daniel answered, "Cobra Kai's back".
Amanda asked "Cobra Kai".
Miguel asked, "Mr LaRusso what is Cobra Kai and why is it terrifying you so much".
Daniel decided to tell Miguel and said "Cobra Kai was a dojo. It taught kids to be ruthless. It taught them to strike first, strike hard, and show no mercy".
Miguel responded, "Everything opposite to what Mr Miyagi taught you".
Daniel responded "Exactly". He then said "Cobra Kai were the biggest group of bullies at school. They picked on me and made my life hell until Mr Miyagi saved me. He saved me and taught me everything I needed to know so I could defend myself and beat them at the All Valley".
Miguel asked, "Cobra Kai was who you defeated".
Daniel answered "Yeah. But now they're back and we need to stop them before they recruit more kids".
Miguel said "I'll contact Eli. He said that he was training after school so should be there. I'll ask him where he is". Miguel began texting.
Daniel responded "Good. We need to put a stop to this and get your friend out before it's too late".
Miguel received Hawk's reply and said to Daniel "They're at the same place I live".
Daniel was panicked hearing this and immediately took Miguel to Reseda Heights to stop Cobra Kai. They drove inside and saw Johnny training Robby and Hawk. Daniel saw that it was Johnny and remembered what Johnny did to him as a kid and their match in the final of the 1984 All Valley. Daniel exited the car and said "Johnny Lawrence".
Johnny responded "LaRusso".
Daniel said "I can't believe it. I can't believe that after everything that happened. You've brought back Cobra Kai and teaching these kids".
Robby asked, "What's wrong dad".
Daniel exclaimed, "Dad. I can't believe it. You're teaching your own son this crap".
Robby retorted "It's not crap. It's Cobra Kai. And I don't know who you are but you better back off and leave us alone".
Hawk said "Yeah, You two should go. I'm fine here. Really Miguel, I am".
Johnny asked Hawk "You know these two".
Hawk answered, "He goes to my school and Mr LaRusso teaches him Karate, Sensei".
Miguel said "Eli. You don't want to be learning this way. Come on, we'll teach you the right way to defend yourself".
Johnny remarked "Of course you're teaching this kid that Cobra Kai's evil. You just can't get over the past can you LaRusso".
Daniel retorted "I can but I can't let you bring Cobra Kai back".
Johnny responded "Yeah, and what are you going to do about it".
Daniel said "I'm going to show these kids that striking first, striking hard, and showing no mercy isn't going to get you anywhere in life. These kids are welcome to learn the right way and learn how to defend themselves and get balance in their life".
Johnny retorted "I don't care about your mumbo jumbo peace and love crap. These kids need to learn Karate. True American Karate. And if they are going to fight back, then need to know how to fight. Not meditate".
Miguel said "Come on Eli. Come with us. You don't need this".
Hawk responded "But I do Miguel. I need to learn what Sensei Lawrence has to teach. He knows how to fight, and I need to learn so no one like Kyler ever messes with me again".
Johnny said "Yeah, so back off LaRusso. You and your student because you don't know what's coming for you. We're going to win the All Valley and put Cobra Kai, our Cobra Kai on top".
Daniel smiled knowing that Cobra Kai was banned from the All Valley and said "Whatever Johnny. I just hope you and your students realise that Cobra Kai is dangerous and should be left where it is before it's too late".
Daniel and Miguel began to get in the car and Johnny called back "Don't worry. We won't. We'll be the most badass dojo that the world has ever seen. And you'll see it to at the All Valley. So, if you wanna stop us, you better be there".
Daniel responded "Whatever Johnny. Whatever. But your students need to know that they are always welcome at Miyagi-do. We understand that Cobra Kai manipulates you and turns you into something you're not. Goodbye Johnny".
Daniel began to drive away, and Johnny shouted out "Don't you come here again. You hear me, LaRusso. Don't come near me or my students again. You will not manipulate them".
Johnny turned back to Robby and Hawk and Hawk asked "Sensei. What was that about".
Johnny answered "Just an annoyance from my past. But don't worry, we'll show everyone what we're made of at the All Valley. And LaRusso won't be able to do anything to stop us".
Driving back to the LaRusson house Miguel asked Daniel "Mr LaRusso, do you think we should enter the All Valley. You know to make sure Cobra Kai doesn't win".
Daniel answered "No. We don't need to worry about that. Cobra Kai will never make it to the All Valley".
Miguel asked, "What are we going to do".
Daniel answered "Nothing. We're going to do nothing because we don't need to do anything. Cobra Kai can never enter the All Valley. They're banned".
Miguel asked, "What do we do about Eli".
Daniel answered "Just be his friend and try to help in any way you can. I know he thinks he needs Cobra Kai, but it'll just make him more miserable. So, just remind him that you're his friend and will always be there for him".
Miguel listened and said "Yes, Mr LaRusso".
Daniel responded "Good. Let's just hope Cobra Kai ends before it spreads to any more kids. Infects them and make them believe that violence and destruction is the only way to get things in life". Miguel listened and Daniel said "Don't worry Miguel. We won't allow that to happen. We'll stop Cobra Kai".
Johnny immediately went to his phone and picked up his Black Belt magazine and turned to the page about the entering the All Valley. He called the number and asked if it was to late to register Cobra Kai for the All Valley. They told him that it wasn't, but that Cobra Kai was banned. Johhny was shocked to hear this and told them that he would ban them. Robby and Hawk rushed over, and Robby asked, "What's wrong dad".
Johnny told them "There's a lifetime ban on Cobra Kai from entering the tournament".
Robby exclaimed "What. How is that fair".
Johnny said, "It's not. There's nothing I can do about it".
Robby retorted "So, we're just going to admit defeat. Let that LaRusso guy win. I thought we never accepted defeat".
Johnny said "This is different. This is the real world and unfortunately there are rules".
Hawk said "I thought this place was badass. A place that could teach me not to be a loser. I guess I was wrong".
Hawk began to leave, and Robby called out "Hey, stop". Hawk stopped and Robby said "We are not accepting defeat. Defeat does not exist in this dojo. We're going to fight this".
Johnny stood up and said "Yeah. We're going to fight this. I'm going down there and beat their arses".
Robby responded "What. No, no, no, no, no. No, that's not what I meant. I meant going down there and talking to them. Tell them that we shouldn't be banned and have done nothing to be banned for". Johnny listened and knew that it was the only thing he could do for his students and get Cobra Kai into the All Valley.
Hawk turned up to school and Miguel met him just as he arrived. Miguel called out "Eli. Eli".
Hawk turned and said, "You know I don't want to speak to you after you and Sam's dad disrupted our training and threatened us".
Miguel responded "We didn't threaten you. We were just warning you. I care about you Eli. You're my friend and I don't want to see you get hurt".
Hawk retorted "Hurt. I'm in Cobra Kai so I don't get hurt".
Miguel said, "I understand you wanna learn Karate, but it has to be the right way".
Hawk retorted "And I guess your way is right".
Miguel answered "Yes. It's about defence and protecting yourself so you don't have to fight".
Hawk retorted "Well, that may be your way. But it isn't mine, so back off and leave me alone".
Hawk walked away and Miguel called out "I'm still your friend Eli, and if you want to this, if you really feel that this is best for you then I won't stop you, but if you ever want to join Miyagi-do the offer's there".
Hawk turned and said "Thank you, but I won't be needing it. Cobra Kai is what I need". The bell then rang for class and Hawk said, "See you at lunch".
Hawk left and Miguel said softly "Yeah, see you there".
Samantha went up to Miguel and asked "So, did it go well".
Miguel answered "No. But I'm doing as you dad said. Be his friend and remind him that the doors to Miyagi-do are always open".
Samantha smiled and said "Well, I better get to the computer lab. See you in Science". Samantha then kissed Miguel and left. Miguel watched her leave and called out "When do you think we should tell your dad".
Samantha answered back "Honestly never. But Saturday after work".
Miguel asked, "Why not Friday night".
Samantha responded, "Do you really want to deal with my dad all day Saturday at work and then training after just hearing that we're together".
Miguel thought about it and knew that Mr LaRusso was protective of his daughter and that hearing that they were going out would make him work really hard at the dealership and then punish him in training. Miguel said, "Saturday night it is then". They both agreed to tell Daniel about them being together on Saturday night and knew it would be the most difficult thing they had to say to Daniel before they both went to class.
On Saturday night Daniel and Miguel were training and Daniel said "Great work Miguel. Really great job. You're mastering your defences and even giving great counters that even I'm struggling to block".
Miguel responded, "Thank you Mr LaRusso".
Daniel said "I think that's enough for tonight. Especially after a hard day at the dealership. I'll drive you home".
Miguel accepted and said, "Thank you Mr LaRusso".
Miguel and Daniel left the dojo, and Samantha came out and asked "Hey dad. Do you think that Miguel can stay for dinner. You have worked him pretty hard".
Daniel said "You know what. That's an excellent idea. We're having chicken cacciatore".
Miguel responds, "Sounds great".
Daniel said, "Come on, let's go inside and not leave your mom waiting for us".
They all sat at the table and Amanda said "It's so great to have you stay for dinner. After all the work you put in at the dealership and keep my husband in the dojo, you deserve it. Maybe you could come to Friday family dinner".
Miguel said, "Will do Mrs LaRusso".
Samantha said "Mom. Dad. There's another reason why I asked Miguel to stay for dinner. There's something we need to tell you".
Daniel realised and said, "You two aren't telling me that you two are".
Samantha exclaimed "Dad. Please".
Daniel yelled "No Samantha. You are my daughter, and he is my student". He then turned to Miguel and said, "I would like you to leave".
Samantha exclaimed "Dad".
Amanda exclaimed "Daniel".
Daniel said "No Amanda. I will not tolerate this deception in my household".
Miguel got up and said, "I'll go".
Amanda said, "No sweetie you don't have to".
Daniel responded, "Yes he does Amanda".
Miguel said, "I'll go. Thank you for allowing me to stay and training me Mr LaRusso. I'll see you at school Sam".
Miguel then left and Samantha tried to stop him and called out "Miguel. Miguel". Miguel didn't listen and left the house. Samantha turned to Daniel and said "I hate you. I hate you and wish you'd stop ruining my life". Samanth then ran away and into her room,
Daniel turned to Amanda and Amanda remarked "Great work, Daniel" before taking her dinner and leaving. Daniel pondered on what happened and knew that he overreacted.
Miguel arrived home to see Cobra Kai training. Miguel looked at them before going to his apartment. Robby came up to him and said "You got a problem with us training. Do you".
Miguel answered, "No. I don't".
Robby asked, "Then why did you and you sensei try to stop us earlier".
Miguel responded, "We weren't trying to stop you". Miguel sighed before saying "Do what you want. I don't care".
Robby retorted "Oh really. You don't think that Cobra Kai's evil and should be stopped".
Hawk said "No. We've already talked. We're cool. He's going to do his thing, and we do ours".
Robby said to Miguel "You better or you'll learn what true Karate is". Robby went back to training with Hawk and Johnny.
Miguel could see what Daniel had meant by Cobra Kai corrupting people and was happy that they couldn't enter the All Valley. Miguel entered his apartment and Carmen said "Mijo, how was your day".
Miguel answered "Good. But I'm really tired and not hungry so I'm just gonna go to bed".
Miguel left to his room and Carmen said "Alright. I'll keep some in case you want it later".
Miguel responded, "Thanks mom" and closed his door.
Daniel went to Samantha's room and knocked. He said "Samantha".
Samantha called out "Go away".
Daniel entered and said "Sam, I know you're upset".
Samantha retorted "Upset. Upset. You were a complete embarrassment. You keep trying to control my life like I'm eight years old but I'm sixteen and can look after myself".
Daniel said "I know. And I'm sorry. I just. I just love you". Samantha was about to speak when Daniel said "And I know that's no excuse for how I acted but you're my little girl. You'll always be my little girl, and I want to protect you".
Samantha said, "I know you love dad, but I can look after myself and you don't need to protect me from Miguel".
Daniel responded "I know but as a dad, I do. You're growing up and soon you'll be a woman. You're making decisions about life and boys. You won't need your dad for anything anymore and it scares me. To me you'll aways be the same baby girl that would calm down as soon as she could hold my finger in your tiny hand. It made me feel so good and that I was a good dad, but I guess I'm taking it too far".
Samantha hugged Daniel and said "I'll always need you dad. And I'm sorry for saying that I hated you. I didn't mean it; I was just angry".
Daniel responded "And you had every right. I overreacted, kicked Miguel out, and ruined dinner. And I really like chicken cacciatore. It's one of my favourite meals. You know grandma used to make it for me all the time. She was famous for it. Nobody could ever hold a candle to her in making it, don't tell your mother that though. She thinks that has beaten my mother and let's let her keep thinking that".
Samantha said, "And I'm assuming also not tell grandma that you said that mom's was better".
Daniel said "Yes. My mother wouldn't let me hear the end of it". He then got back on the topic of Miguel and said "I'm happy you two are together. He's a good kid and is really taking on board the lesson that I taught him".
Samantha asked "So, does that mean you approve".
Daniel answered "Yes and invite to Friday family dinner. He's earned it after tonight. And everything he does at the dealership and the dojo".
Samantha said, "I'll tell him".
Daniel told her "No. I better go do it in person. He might actually think I hate him".
Daniel began to leave, and Samantha asked, "Are you going now".
Daniel answered "Yeah, I better do it now, it's the least I can do after tonight. Night Babygirl".
Samantha responded, "Night dad".
Daniel arrived at Reseda Heights and went to Miguel's apartment. He knocked and Carmen answered. Daniel asked "Ms Diaz".
Carmen answered "Yes".
Daniel said "I'm Daniel LaRusso. You're son".
Carmen interrupted "I know who you are". She then called out "Miggy, Mr LaRusso is here to see you".
Miguel left his room and said "Mr LaRusso".
Daniel said, "Miguel can we talk".
Miguel answered "Sure".
Miguel and Daniel left the apartment and Daniel said "I'm sorry for tonight. It shouldn't have happened. I overreacted and I shouldn't have kicked you out".
Miguel responded "No Mr LaRusso. If you think that dating Samantha and being your student is inappropriate than I'll stop. I won't train under you anymore because I love your daughter, and I want to be with her".
Daniel responded "That's not what I came here to say. I'm sorry for what I said. I didn't mean it and was being too overprotective of my daughter. But she's growing up and I'm just going to have to deal with boys in her life. So, I should be grateful that she's picked a good one like you Miguel. You're a great kid and I'm happy to be training you and that you are dating my daughter. So, if you'd like I'm offering to have you, your mother and grandmother over for Friday family dinner. What do you say".
Miguel answered "I would be happy to. I'll have to ask my mom and Yaya, but I know it's going to be a yes".
Daniel accepted this and said, "See you Wednesday at the dealership".
Miguel answered, "See you then".
Miguel then went back inside, and Daniel went home. Carmen asked, "What was that Miggy".
Miguel told her and Rosa "Mr LaRusso just invited us for dinner on Friday".
Carmen responded "Of course. We'll be happy to accept".
Rosa said in Spanish "It's because him and their daughter are dating".
Carmen and Miguel turned to Rosa and Carmen asked, "Is this true Miggy".
Miguel smiled and answered "Yes, mom. Samantha's my girlfriend".
Carmen said, "Then we're happy to meet her".
At the family dinner Daniel got up and said "I thank you all for coming. Friday family dinner is very important in our family and I'm so happy to spend it with a fantastic student, worker, and boy who happens to be dating my daughter. In my eyes, she'll always be my little girl who I never want to have boyfriends or relationships, but I can't control that. And if she has to have a boyfriend, I'm happy it's with Miguel. He's a fine young man who I'm happy to have gotten to know".
Miguel said "And I'm thankful that you Mr LaRusso pulled over that night. You could have kept driving and let a poor kid be bullied, but you didn't. You stopped and saved me and have been teaching me not only Karate but tools and wisdom to carry through life. And you Mrs LaRusso for not only making this amazing dinner but giving me my paycheck every fortnight". Everyone laughed and Miguel said, "To the LaRusso's".
Everyone clinked their glasses and said "LaRusso's".
Carmen said "And before we eat, I'd like to thank you Mr and Mrs LaRusso for having us over. I'm so happy to come home on a Friday and not have to cook".
Rosa said "So, am I".
Carmen continued "We are so thankful for the invite and for this lovely meal that you have made. And even though I am not happy with my son fighting. I'm happy he's learning to defend himself and not have to fight. And also, money in Miggy's collage account".
Miguel said, "Some of that is definitely going on a car".
Daniel joked "Well I know a great dealership where you can get them".
Everyone laughed and Miguel asked, "Do I get an employee discount".
Daniel responded "I'll tell you what I told Louie. No".
Everyone laughed and Carmen said "But I'm most thankful to Samantha. She's made my son very happy over the last couple of months and I couldn't be happier that he found you".
Samantha blushed and Amanda said "Enough of this talking. I spent hours in that kitchen, and I want everyone to enjoy it before it gets cold so come on".
Anthony remarked "Finally", and they all began to eat.
Johnny trained his students knowing that soon he'd get Cobra Kai into the All Valley and let Robby and Hawk show the world what they're made of. What Cobra Kai can get them. On the night of the meeting Johnny was getting prepared and Robby said, "Looking good dad".
Johnny responded "Really. Good. I need to get these arseholes to let Cobra Kai into the tournament".
Robby said "Remember. Be nice and don't let them get to you. I know that when you get angry you".
Johnny said, "Punch the guy".
Robby said "Yes. But you can't do that. We've done all this to win the All Valley, and we don't need you blowing that in one night. All our hard work. Yours, mine, and Hawk's".
Johnny relented and said "Fine. But if they really start to piss me off, what should I do".
Robby suggested "Well how about this. When someone begins to piss you off, you make a fist like you are going to punch them but then don't".
Johnny asked, "Hold it in".
Robby said "Yeah".
Johnny agreed and said, "I could try".
Robby responded "Not try, do. This is very important to me, and I don't want you to blow it. I've been really happy with the time we've been spending together dad, and I don't want it to end".
Johnny asked, "You've really been enjoying it together".
Robby said, "Yeah dad and I don't want it to end".
Johnny said "Neither do I. So, let's do. Let's get Cobra Kai into the All Valley and win that trophy together".
Robby smiled and remarked "Never seen you with a briefcase before".
Johnny showed Robby that nothing was inside and said, "Found it in the dumpster".
Robby remarked "Well, it makes a great prop. It actually looks like you're prepared".
Johnny said, "That was the look I was going for".
Robby place his hand on Johnny shoulder and said "Let's do this. Let's get Cobra Kai into the All Valley".
Johnny arrived at the All Valley meeting while they were talking about changing the mats from red with white fists to blue mats with gold fists. When he entered, they thought he was there for the AA meeting that stated at 9 o'clock but he told them that he was there for the tournament committee meeting. They then thought that Johnny was there because of the Corndogs that were off last year. Johnny told them that he was there because Cobra Kai was banned, and he wanted to appeal. They were confused and didn't know that they could ban anyone. They thought it was a mistake and asked for the dojo's name. Daniel entered and answered that it was Cobra Kai. He then took his seat on the board and was happy that he didn't miss this year's annual meeting. They told Daniel about what Johnny wanted, and Daniel wasn't surprised that he was their to get Cobra Kai reinstated and knew that Johnny had to do this months ago. The board reviewed everything that was provided to them and that in 1985 the All Valley committee issued a lifetime ban on Cobra Kai due to the unethical and unsportsmanlike conduct of Sensei's John Kreese, Terry Silver and their student Mike Barnes. Daniel wanted the review to be ended and for Cobra Kai and an appeal not be made but the others wanted to hear what Johnny had to say. They asked Johnny what relationship he had with Terry Silver, but Johnny answered that "Ma'am, I have no idea who that even is. I'm just a guy who's using what I know to train my son and a kid that's been bullied relentless at school".
Daniel retorted "Oh please, it's. Ask him about John Kreese".
Johnny answered, "John Kreese is dead".
Ron responded, "We're very sorry for your loss".
Daniel upset that they were falling for this said "Oh, give me a break".
Sue said "Daniel, show a little respect".
Daniel retorted "Respect. Are you kidding me, Sue. You don't know the history here. John Kreese and Cobra Kai were the embodiment of everything this tournament stands against". Johnny began to make a fist with his hand as Daniel continued "And this guy, Johnny Lawrence, he was his star pupil. He's the worst of them all. We'll be dishonouring the entire sport by reinstating Cobra Kai. I mean, come on".
Johnny stood up and said "Look, I admit Cobra Kai had its share of problems in the 80's. My sensei didn't always play by the rules. That's why I left. But my Cobra Kai is different. It all began to spend time with my son. I was not the best father. I was never there for him. But Cobra Kai has brought us together. It has bonded us in a way that hasn't happened in sixteen years. Now, I admit that's completely my fault, but this is not about my parenting. It's about whether this Cobra Kai is the same as that one. And it isn't. I'm not my sensei and I don't teach what he taught. I'm my own sensei and I not only teach my son but a kid that got bullied relentless, even ending up in the hospital because of something that was out of his control. He came to me begging for help and I didn't turn away. I helped him, gave him confidence, and since then he hasn't been picked on, or hurt once". Daniel sighed as Johnny continued "He even has a girlfriend. Now, does that sound like the Cobra Kai you see before you". Johnny then looked at the members and said "Thank you" before sitting down.
Ron remarked "That doesn't sound at all like the old Cobra Kai".
Daniel was horrified that they might be letting Cobra Kai back in and Daryl said, "It's a badass name for a dojo, by the way". Johnny was happy to hear this and made a fist in celebration.
Sue said, "I think I speak for all of us when I say the community could use more men like you, Mr Lawrence".
Johnny responded, "Thank you, ma'am".
Daniel had enough and said "all right, this is horseshit. This guy was the biggest bully in my high school, and he hasn't changed at all. I could prove it".
George said "I'm sorry, Mr Lawrence. I don't know you, but I do know Daniel LaRusso, and if he says no, I'm with him".
Daniel responded, "Thank you, George".
Ron banged his gavel and said, "It seems the only fair solution is to put this to a vote. Mr Lawrence, would you mind waiting outside while we cast our ballets".
Johnny answered, "Not at all". He then got up and said, "Thank you all for your careful consideration".
Daniel waved him off and said "Yeah, yeah, yeah. Just wait outside, all right". Johnny left and Daniel sighed before saying "Okay, guys, this sob story. I mean, you were not there".
Johnny waited outside as they voted and after not getting the result Daniel wanted, Cobra Kai was reinstated. Daniel left and saw Johnny outside, where he congratulated him and left.
Johnny returned back to his apartment victorious and burst in and said to Robby "Who's the man".
Robby exclaimed "You did it. Cobra Kai's in".
Johnny answered "Hell yeah, we're in. Cobra Kai's back baby".
Johnny and Robby hugged, and Robby said "I knew you could do it dad. I believed in you".
Johnny responded "Well, you were the reason I was able to do. I couldn't do it without you, Robby".
Johnny and Robby hugged again, and Robby said "Then we better get training. If we're going to wipe the floor with the competition and show it up to that LaRusso loser".
Johnny agreed "Hell yeah baby. This is cause for a real celebration". Johnny went to his fridge and got out an expensive bottle of alcohol and poured some for both him and Robby. He then said "Now, this is a real man's drink".
Robby accepted and said, "To Cobra Kai".
Johnny responded, "Never accept defeat". They both downed their drinks and prepared themselves for the future and the All Valley.
Daniel returned home and saw that Miguel and Samantha were in the dojo. Samantha asked, "How did it go dad".
Miguel asked "Yeah Mr LaRusso. Were you able to make sure Cobra Kai didn't enter the tournament".
Daniel answered "Unfortunately no but that doesn't mean we give up. No, we're going to have to defeat Cobra Kai the old-fashioned way, tournament".
Miguel asked, "Does that mean".
Daniel answered "Yes Miguel. You are going to fighting not just for Miyagi-do but to save your friend from Cobra Kai".
Miguel asked "You sure. You think I can do this".
Daniel answered "Of course. You're way better than I ever was, and I won two. I know that if you maintain your balance and remember what I taught you. You can do anything".
Miguel asked "What about Sam. If we're stopping Cobra Kai, wouldn't it be better to have two fighters".
Daniel said, "That's up to Sam".
Daniel and Miguel turned to Samantha and Samantha said "I know Cobra Kai's a threat, but I didn't get into Karate to fight. We're taught that we're supposed to avoid the fight at all times".
Daniel responded "But remember what I said. Sometimes the fight comes to you, and you have to be ready".
Samantha said "I can't. I can't fight. I'm happy to help and cheer you on but I can't enter the tournament. I'm sorry".
Daniel told her "That's okay. You don't have to. No one is forcing you".
Samantha smiled said "And I wouldn't want to beat my boyfriend in front of an entire crowd of people".
Miguel retorted playfully "Oh, so you think you can defeat me".
Samantha answered, "I know I can".
Miguel retorted "Okay then, let's see, on the mat".
Daniel said "Okay, okay, okay. You both can fight, but let's save that for the tournament. You're going to be doing a lot of it if we're going to take down Cobra Kai".
Miguel answered, "Yes Mr LaRusso".
Daniel said "All right Miguel, I'll drive you home. Time to get some sleep because tomorrow your training kicks up another level. Sam, can you help me get Miguel ready".
Samantha answered, "Of course dad".
Daniel said, "Then let's get some sleep".
They all left the dojo and Miguel asked "So, you really think you can defeat me".
Samantha answered, "I know I can. And I'll prove it to you tomorrow if you want".
Miguel responded "You know what, I better not. Gotta save my energy for opponents I can actually defeat like Cobra Kai".
Samantha said, "Then let's get you ready for it".
Johnny trained Robby and Hawk in a scrapyard and was making sure their attacks and kicks were powerful. Daniel and Samatha were training Miguel in the dojo at the LaRusso house and making sure his defences were on point and that he was maintaining balance in himself. But in his spare time and while Daniel and Samantha weren't looking, he was practising the most powerful kick in Miyagi-do, but he never could get it.
