No Mercy:
The day of the 50th All Valley Under 18 Karate tournament had arrived and the All Valley sports arena was transformed into Karate competition area. And this year they were celebrating 50 years of the tournament and hung banners of all past winners which included two for Johnny with his victory in 82 and 83. And Daniel with his victory over Johnny Lawrence in 84 and his victory over Mike Barnes in 85. The crowds arrived and all the competitors arrived and got ready for their fights.
Johnny arrived with Robby and Hawk and as they got out, he went to the boot of his car and got out Robby and Hawk's Gi's. Johnny said "Now, you both learned to strike first, to be aggressive, not be losers. I taught you to strike hard, put every ounce of your power behind everything you do. But now it's finally time you leant the final rule of Cobra Kai. No Mercy. What it means is, you put everything on the line. You have a chance in life to take it all, so you take it. Because you'd hate yourself if you didn't. It's why I went to Robby and told him that I wanted to be a better dad, why you came to us Hawk. You had your chance, and you took it. This is your chance. You both can be champions today. Cobra Kai can be champions. Put it all on the line today and show no mercy. And if you do that, we'll be on that centre mat, lifting that trophy together. Now, Cobras are you ready to win".
Robby and Hawk cheered "Yeah".
Robby screamed "Cobra Kai".
Johnny said "All right, guys. Let's get down there and kick the shit out of everybody".
Robby and Hawk cheered "Yeah".
Johnny smiled and said "Now, put these on". Johnny handed them their black Cobra Kai Gi's and they all went inside to register and change into their Gi's.
Daniel arrived with Samantha, Amanda, and Anthony while followed behind him arrived Carmen, Rosa, and Miguel. They all got out of their cars and Carmen said "We'll see you inside Mijo. Good luck".
Rosa said, "Good luck Miggy".
Miguel responds "Thanks Mom. Yaya".
Carmen and Rosa left to take their seats and Miguel went over to Daniel and Samantha. Daniel asked "So, you nervous".
Miguel answered "Uh, yeah".
Daniel told him "It's okay. I was to in my first tournament, and my second. And now actually".
Samantha interrupted and said "What my dad is trying to say is, we're routing for. I'm going to be in the crowd with your mom and grandma and we're not going to stop cheering for you".
Daniel said "And I'm going to be on the sidelines. Encouraging you and helping you out if you ever need me".
Miguel smiled and said, "Thanks Mr LaRusso".
Daniel accepted this and said "Come on let's get inside. We need to register".
They entered and immediately had George say "There he is. Hey, everyone, it's the former champ turned sensei in the flesh".
Everyone applauded and Daryl said, "Good to see you, champ".
George asked "So, ready to turn your student into a champ".
Daniel responded, "We're going to try our best, but I know that one day soon Miguel here will be one of those posters". Daniel directed to his poster from 1984, and Miguel stared at it looking at the exact moment that Daniel scored his third point and became a champion. Daniel then began to shake everyone's hand and said "How are you. Good to see you guys. Nice seeing you". The group left and Daniel asked Miguel "Ready to go".
Amanda said, "Good luck Miguel".
Samantha said, "Good luck future champion".
Miguel responded, "That would be you, you know if you competed today".
Samantha responded "I know. Good luck".
Samantha left with Amanda and Anthony to sit with Carmen and Rosa. Daniel said "Come on Miguel. We need to register".
Daryl welcomed everyone to the tournament and Demetri was surprised that it had been going on for fifty years and he had no idea about it. Daryl then welcomed all the dojos.
Carmen said "I'm so happy that we got front row seats, so he can see us but I'm so nervous. What if he gets hurt. What, what if he loses". She then saw that everybody else was calm and asked, "How can you all be so calm".
Samantha told her "Don't worry Mrs Diaz, he's really good. And I'll be surprised if any of them lays a hit on him".
Amanda said, "And they've got medics on standby in case he does".
Carmen was happy to hear this and Rosa said to Carmen in Spanish "See, he'll be fine. He's trained for this, and they have people to help him. Also, I'm not nervous because I smoked a joint before we came". Carmen was surprised to hear this and turned to her mother.
Amanda saw Patricia decked out in Topanga Karate gear and said "Oh, hi, Patrica. You really went all out this year, huh".
Patrica answered "Well, I wanna support my baby. You know how it goes".
Daryl said "Fighting out of Topanga. We have Topanga Karate".
Patricia screamed "Yeah. Whoo. Topanga. You kick some ass, Xander. Whoo".
Amanda silently clapped and said "Go Xander".
Daryl said, "From Reseda, returning to the tournament, we have".
Robby and Hawk entered and began chanting "Cobra Kai". When they arrived at their positioned, they both grunted "Huh".
Daryl remarked "Now that's what I call an entrance. And a badass name for a dojo. Let's hear it for Cobra Kai".
Shannon cheered "Go Robby. That's my son. Whoo. Win for me, baby. Whoo". Robby turned to Shannon and nodded to her in acceptance.
Moon cheered "Whoo. Whoo. Go, Eli".
Daryl said "And finally, fighting from Encino. We have a two time All Valley champ leading his sole student into this competition. We have Sensei Daniel LaRusso and Miyagi-do Karate".
Daniel and Miguel entered the arena to cheers Carmen screaming "Let's go Miggy".
Samatha called out "Whoo. Go Miguel. You're the best".
Amanda silently said "Let's go Daniel and Miguel. I know you can do it".
Daniel and Miguel walked past a very shocked Johnny, Robby, and Hawk as they made it to their spot on the mat. Hawk remarked "Someone forgot to mention that they were fighting".
Robby asked, "What do we do dad".
Johnny looked at Daniel and said "Nothing. You both are better fighters and can win. Just focus on your matches and getting to the quarterfinals. No point in worrying about LaRusso or his student". Robby and Hawk agreed and would focus on themselves because they had no need to focus or worry about Daniel or Miguel.
Daryl said "All right, folks. Get ready. It's Karate time". The audience cheered and the matches began.
Robby began his first match and heard from the referee "all right, gentleman, you know the rules. Three points wins. Step on the mat".
Robby was about to step on the mat when Johnny said "Wait. Wait". Robby went back to Johnny and Johnny said "The LaRusso family's over there. Show them that we mean business and are not to be messed with".
Robby asked, "I thought you said that we were just supposed to think of our matches and not worry about the LaRusso's".
Johnny answered, "You are but this is just to show that we are not to be messed with".
Robby accepted this and got onto the mat. The referee said "Face me. Bow". They both did this. The referee then said "Face each other. Bow". The boys both did this, and the referee said "Ready". Robby got into a crane position and when the referee said, "And fight", Robby's opponent advanced on him and Robby kicked him in the face.
The audience cheered and the LaRusso's were stunned seeing that they were copying Daniel's moves. Shannon cheered "Whoo. That's my boy. You see that. That's my boy".
Referee said, "That's one point, Keene".
Samantha said to Amanda "I can't believe they stole dad's move".
Amanda responded, "I know sweetie". Johnny turned to them and was very proud of what he did. Robby then got back into position for the match to start again.
The referee said, "Fight positions".
In Miguel's match the referee said "Fight".
Miguel's began and he blocked a flurry of attacks before jabbing his opponent in the stomach. The referee said, "Two points, Diaz".
Carmen cheered "How did he do that".
Samantha cheered "Yeah. Great defence Miguel. Good job". She then began to clap. Amanda saw this and that her daughter was happy and seeing her daughter happy made her happy.
In Hawk's match the referee said "Fight".
Hawk launched his attacks and after and kick hit his shoulder he launched into an attack and punched his opponent in the head knocking them to the ground. The referee declared Hawk the winning and Hawk screamed "Yeah. Yeah. Yeah".
Moon said "Damn, he is so hot".
Hawk continued to scream "Yeah. Yeah". Hawk then took his shirt off and showed the crowd his tattoo of a Hawk on his back with a blue mohawk like him.
Yasmine and Moon both saw how attracted she was to Hawk and were stunned by it. Demetri remarked "I can't believe this actually works".
Yasmine agreed "You're telling me".
Daryl said, "And that brings us to the quarterfinals".
Robby fought and won by kicking his opponent in the head. The referee said "Three points. Winner".
Shannon cheered and said "Yeah. You're into the semis baby".
Daryl said, "Over on mat two, Robby Keene makes the semis".
Miguel fought hard in his match and after excessive blocking and Daniel said "Keep blocking Miguel. Remember defence". Miguel then saw on opening and kicked his opponent in the stomach. The referee said, "That's three points, Diaz".
Daniel cheered "Great work Miguel".
Amanda and Anthony were clapping while Rosa and Carmen stood up and cheered. Samantha said "Well done. Whoo. You're in the semis".
Daryl announced, "Over on mat three, Miguel Diaz advances to the semifinals".
Xander stone won his match by sweeping his opponent and stomping on them. Patricia stood up and cheered "Yes".
Daryl announced, "And over on mat four, Xander Stone is our last semi-finalist".
Xander said "Sorry" and helped his opponent up.
Robby Keene, Xander Stone, Hawk, and Miguel Diaz all got up on the centre stage mat and Daryl said "Yes. Let's give it up for all of our competitors. You're all winners. We have seen some great fighting today, haven't we, huh. There can be only one true winner, and he is standing on this stage right now. Will it be Robby Keene from Cobra Kai Karate". Shannon cheered. Daryl continued "Will it be Hawk. Well, I guess it's just Hawk from Cobra Kai Karate. Huh".
Moon, Aisha, and Yasmine clapped, and Demetri said, "Moskowitz It's Eli Moskowitz".
Moon responded "I know but this is obviously just his stage name. He's just using it here. We all know he's Eli".
Yasmine said "Yeah, nobody actually thinks his name is Hawk, Demetri".
Demetri was stunned by this and said "Wow".
Yasmine asked "What do you mean wow. That's your name isn't it".
Demetri said "Yeah, but I've never heard you say it before. Usually, I hear something like brainiac or science geek, nerd".
Yasmine said "Well, maybe I've changed".
Demetri was stunned to hear this and turned back to the stage and remarked "There's a lot of change happening apparently".
Daryl said "Will it be Miguel Diaz of Miyagi-do. Led by the two time All Valley champ Daniel LaRusso". Everyone clapped and Amanda, Carmen, Rosa, Samantha, Anthony, Demetri, Aisha, Moon, and Yasmine all cheered, and Rosa stood up to cheer and wave her arms. Daryl then said, "And last but certainly not least, last year's champion, fighting out of Topanga Karate, Xander Stone".
Xander backflip to centre stage and took the mic. Patricia called out "Yeah. I love you, Xander. You're my boy".
Xander said "I just wanted to say, even though I love to fight, we all need to fight together against hatred. And as I look around this arena, I pray for every race, religion, and gender that we can all live together in peace. Please join me in a moment of silence as we strive to end intolerance in our time".
The stadium followed Xander and Johnny told Robby "Kick that pansy bitch in the face".
Robby agreed and said "Yes, Sensei".
Daryl took the mic back and said "All right. First up, Stone versus Keene. Let's go".
Robby and Xander fought, and they both fought hard with many kicks flying at each other. As they fought Patricia called out "Go on. Now punch him in the face, Xander. Use your hands come on".
Johnny called out in supported "Focus Robby. Come on, you got this". Robby then laid a flurry of kicks before jumping into the air and spin kicking Xander in the face. After the point was given Johnny cheered "There it is".
Shannon cheered and she said "Whoo. Go Robby. You're one point away from the final whoo".
Robby then roared in triumph over Xander. The referee said, "That's two-one Keene".
Patricia said "That's all right, baby. Two more, and mama is back in the finals. You got it".
Johnny called out "Offense. Stay on offense".
Referee said "Fighting positions. And fight".
Robby and Xander began to fight, and Robby immediately moved to the other side forcing Xander into a corner, but Xander fought his way out and pushed Robby back. Johnny called out "You got this Robby, don't let him trick you".
Hawk called out "You got this".
Xander advanced but Robby turned, and spin kicked Xander in the stomach, winning the match and advancing to the final. Hawk roared "Yeah".
Johnny said, "There it is".
Referee said "Point. And Winner".
Patricia called out "This is bullshit. Bullshit".
Robby and Xander shook hands and Hawk cheered "Let's go".
Shannon called down to Patrcia "Hey, just because your son's a loser doesn't make it bullshit".
Patrica called back "Oh, you wanna piece of me. I'll go with you right now".
Shannon called back "Bring it on, bitch".
Patrica aid "Oh, it's go time".
Amanda said "Oh, no. You don't have to".
Patricia and Shannon made their way to each other and Shannon struck first and said, "No mercy, bitch".
Everyone saw this and Johnny said to Robby "Better go help your mom out".
Xander and Robby rushed over to stop the fight and Patricia said, "It's that all you got, skank".
Shannon responded, "No. I got plenty more for you".
Robby grabbed Shannon and said "Mom. It's over. I won".
Xander grabbed Patricia and said "Yeah, Keene won fair and square. I lost".
Shannon said, "At least your son can admit he lost".
Patricia responded angrily "Oh, you wanna go again".
Robby and Xander both held their mothers back and said "No, no, no, no".
Robby said "It's cool. We're cool".
Shannon relented and said "Good work baby. I'll be cheering you on in the final".
Shannon sat back down and Xander said "Yeah, good fight Keene".
Robby responded "You to. I didn't see that kick coming".
Xander accepted and said "Come on mom, let's go. We can still watch the final together".
Xander led Patricia away and Johnny came up and said "Great fighting from the both of you. Now, can I have our son back so he can win this thing".
Shannon responded "Of course, good luck baby. Mommy's always routing for you". Shannon then clapped as Johnny and Robby left back for the mat.
Darly said "Now, with that slight interruption over. Robby Keene is heading to the finals. Next up, Hawk versus Diaz".
Everyone cheered and Carmen said, "Let's go Miggy".
Demetri remarked "Great. My two friends are fighting each other. This is not going to end well no matter who wins".
Daniel said to Miguel "I know he's your friend but".
Miguel said, "I need to beat him".
Daniel said "No. You need to be careful for what he throws at you because he's learning to show no mercy and to win at all cost. And Cobra Kai have something to lose. You're the only thing standing in their way so remember your defences and you're not just fighting to win. You're fighting for everyone. The world will be worse off if Cobra Kai's allowed back in it and take control of the valley. You need to stop them. You can do this".
Miguel agreed and said "Yes, Sensei".
Miguel got onto the mat and Johnny said to Hawk "I know he's your friend but".
Hawk retorted "He's not my friend. He's someone who wants me to be weak. I'm not weak anymore and I will not allow him to take Cobra Kai away from me".
Johnny smiled and said, "You got this Hawk".
Robby said "Yeah, can't wait to smash you in the final".
Hawk responded, "That's never going to happen".
Robby and Hawk both laughed and fist bumped each other. Johnny clapped and said, "Come on Hawk let's go".
Hawk then got onto the mat and said "Sorry Miguel but you asked for this. You couldn't let me be strong and now you have to face the fury of the Hawk".
Miguel responded, "I never wanted to stop you from defending yourself, but Cobra Kai is not the right way, and it needs to stop before it destroys you".
Hawk retorted "Cobra Kai shed my loser skin and now I'm the Hawk. Faster, stronger, better than I ever was before. I'm even with the girl of my dreams and I will not allow you to take all of it away from me".
Miguel said, "I don't want to take anything from you".
The referee said "Face me. Bow. Face each other. Bow. Fighting positions. Ready and fight".
Miguel advanced first and used kicks to get Hawk off balance, but Hawk grabbed Miguel and forced him to the ground and punched him in the stomach. Hawk exclaimed "Hawk".
Referee said, "One point, Hawk".
Carmen called out "It's okay. It's only one. It's only".
Samantha said "You're doing great Miguel. You can do this, don't forget balance".
Daniel heard this and told Miguel "She's right Miguel. Balance is everything. Your whole life needs balance, and when you have balance, you can do anything".
Miguel got back on his side and began to breathe deep remembering all the lessons that he learned from Miyagi-do about balance. Referee said "Okay, fighting positions. Ready and fight".
Hawk struck first but Miguel blocked his attack and pushed him out of the way. Miguel then blocked another kick and made a spin kick that missed but performed one immediately afterwards which landed and won him the point.
Referee said "Stop".
Daniel cheered "There you go, Miguel".
Carmen cheered and said to Samantha "Did you see that kick".
Samantha responded "Yeah, he's great".
The referee said, "One point, Diaz".
Hawk said to Miguel "That was a lucky point. It's going to be your last".
Miguel retorted "No. Because I'm going to get two more and win this match. Then I'm going to defeat Keene and Cobra Kai will be nothing".
Hawk was seething from the comment and that Miguel wanted to take everything away from him. He couldn't let Miguel get away with this and moved to attack him. The referee tried to stop him and said "Hey", but Hawk moved passed him and kicked Miguel in the shoulder. The referee grabbed Hawk and said "Stop".
Daniel called out "Hey, what the hell was that". Daniel then saw that Miguel was in pain and exclaimed "Miguel" before rushing to check on him.
Carmen exclaimed in horror "Miggy".
The referee forced Hawk away from Miguel and said "That's enough. Illegal contact. You're disqualified".
The crowd began booing Hawk and Hawk argued back "Bullshit".
Daniel said "It's all right Miguel. It's all right. You're okay".
Johnny went over to Hawk and demanded "What the hell are you thinking man".
Hawk retorted "He wanted to take Cobra Kai away. What was I supposed to do, be a pussy and let him".
Robby said angrily "I can't believe you did that" and dragged Hawk down from the mat and beside him.
The referee came over to Miguel and Daniel and asked, "Is he all right".
Daniel said "No. Medic. We need a medic here".
Miguel responded trying to stop them "I'm fine". Miguel then fell back down, and Daniel helped him up and away from the mat to the locker room to get medical attention.
Daryl said "With that disqualification, Diaz earns a trip to the finals. We'll see him back here after a short break".
Amanda said, "Let's go" and Samantha, Anthony, Carmen, and Rosa followed her to the locker room to check on Miguel.
In the locker room Miguel was being attended to by a medic and she asked, "Are you feeling any pain here".
Miguel answered "Yeah".
The medic asked, "Does it hurt when I do this".
Miguel answered "Yeah".
The medic asked "Okay, are you ready".
Miguel grunted "Yeah".
The medic then put Miguel's shoulder back in place and as Miguel groaned in pain the medic said, "I'm sorry". She then told everyone "It's a slight anterior dislocation, so I just popped it back into place but you're gonna feel it for the next few weeks".
Daniel responded "Okay. Thanks, doc, we appreciate it".
Carmen said, "Thank you".
The medic responded "Sure".
Daniel said "Listen, you don't need to fight".
Carmen said "He's right Miggy. You did great and who cares if you win or lose".
Samantha said "And you're the winner in our eyes. You would have won if they didn't cheat".
Daniel said "Look, I know that Cobra Kai and I have issues. But they're not yours. And I hate what it has done to you and your friend. Maintaining a friend is far more important than winning".
Miguel rejected this and said "No, you were right Mr LaRusso. Cobra Kai has turned him into something he's not. And if I don't fight then Cobra Kai will do that to every kid in the Valley. I need to fight. We need to stop them. I'm gonna have to face them sooner or later. Might as well be today". Daniel and everyone else agreed and accepted Miguel choice.
Johnny went over to Robby who was stretching and said, "Can I talk to you for a moment".
Robby answered, "Of course dad".
Johnny led Robby over to the pictures of past sensei's. He went over to the picture of Kreese and said, "I want you to win but I want you to do it the right way".
Robby was confused and asked "I don't understand. What do you mean, I thought you said we had to win at all".
Johnny interrupted and said "I do but it has to be the right way. Not that way". He then turned his attention to the picture of Kreese and said "This is John Kreese. My sensei. He taught me the way of the fist like I taught you but the one thing he didn't teach was the difference between no mercy and no honour and I paid the price. I'm telling you this because it wasn't the defeat against LaRusso that ruined my life. It's how I acted afterwards. I saw it as a great failure and that victory was the only way to win. But it isn't. It's how you win, if you lose yourself, then you lost more than any tournament. I lost myself a long time ago and it wasn't LaRusso's fault. It was mine and it cost me jobs, relationships, even my son. I let him get in my head and played dirty. I don't want you to make the same mistakes I did. So, I want you to win but win the right way, with honour. That's the only way you'll truly win".
Robby asked, "And if I lose".
Johnny responded, "Then you lose but losing yourself is far worse".
Robby asked, "What about Cobra Kai".
Johnny said "Cobra Kai doesn't matter. What does matter is you, and if for you to win, Cobra Kai must lose, then screw Cobra Kai".
Robby hugged Johnny and said, "Love you dad".
Johnny responded "Love you to, Robby. Now go out there and win. I know you can do it". Robby accepted and went back out to the mat to wait for Miguel Diaz so their fight can begin.
Miguel Diaz, Daniel LaRusso, Robby Keene, and Johnny Lawrence stood on the centre mat as Daryl spoke to the crowd "This is it folks. The moment we've all been waiting for. The final match to determine who will be victor and champion. Will it be Robby Keene from Cobra Kai Karate".
Shannon cheered "Whoo. That's my son. Go Robby. You can do this. Whoo".
Darly said, "Will it be Miguel Diaz from Miyagi-do Karate". Amanda, Anthony, Samantha, Carmen, Rosa all stood up and cheered. Aisha, Yasmine, Demetri, and Moon cheered as well. Darly said, "Good luck, gentleman".
Daniel told Miguel "Remember, no aggression. Just let him come to you. All right".
Miguel agreed "Okay".
Johnny said to Robby "Robby, I know you can beat this kid but don't beat yourself in the process. Okay".
Robby responded "Got it, dad. I'm going to win but I don't need to cheat to do it. I've got this".
Johnny responded, "Good work". Robby then went onto the mat and Johnny cheered "Come on Robby, let's go".
Robby and Miguel faced each other, and the referee said "Face me. Bow". Both Miguel and Robby performed this action. The referee said "Each other. Bow". Both Miguel and Robby performed this action. The referee said, "Fighting positions" and as Miguel and Robby got ready the referee said "Ready. And fight". Robby struck first with a flurry of forward strikes, but each were blocked by Miguel and then during a block Miguel pushed Robby back and laid a kick to Robby's stomach. The referee said, "And stop". Hawk grunted and the referee said "Point". Robby slammed his fist to the floor knowing that he could do better.
Daryl said, "Diaz and Miyagi-do get the first point".
Robby got ready and the referee said, "One point".
Hawk called out to Robby "You got it".
The referee said "Positions".
Johnny said to Robby "Remember the pitching machine. Don't get hit".
The referee said "Ready. And fight". Robby struck first but was quickly pushed back by Miguel. Robby then made a fake attack to Miguel side and as he tried to block it, Robby punched him in the stomach winning the point. The referee said "Stop. One point".
Hawk cheered "Yeah".
Johnny said, "Well done, Robby".
Shannon cheered "That's my boy. Whoo".
Daryl said "Keene and Cobra Kai with the point. Now it's 1-1".
The referee saw that both Miguel and Robby were back in their positions and said "Ready. And fight". Robby attacked first but Miguel blocked until Robby made an attack with his elbow to Miguel side. He then swept his legs knocking Miguel over. Robby then ran over and tried to strike but Miguel rolled and tried a kick with his feet, but this was knocked away by Robby who then punched Miguel in the chest. The referee said "Point".
Hawk screamed "Yeah".
Daryl commentated "That makes it 2-1 for Keene".
Miguel got up and looked at Daniel who nodded at him in approval telling him that he can still do this. He then turned to the audience and saw that his mom, grandma, friends, and girlfriend were all here for him, and he was there for them. He knew that he could do this because he wasn't fighting for himself but for them. Miguel got back in his fighting position and the referee said "Fighting positions. And fight". Robby wanted to end the fight quickly and launched a tirade of attacks both from kicks and punches. Miguel ducked under them, and it nearly sent Robby over the edge. Miguel thought about doing the two-legged Karate kick but feared that he fail so didn't and Robby came at him with another flurry of forward strikes and has Miguel duck to go under again, Robby prepared to strike but didn't see that Miguel used his legs to catch his legs and make him trip before slamming his fist into Robby's back. The referee said "Point".
Daniel cheered "Well done, Miguel".
Carmen cheered "Great work Miggy".
Daryl said "A trip and then a punch from Diaz makes it 2-2. Whoever wins the next point will be our new Champion".
Robby was angered at this and knew that if he lost the next point then he'd lose. Robby got up and Johnny said "Good work Robby. Good work. You got this. I believe in you".
The referee said "It's 2-2. Next point wins. Okay, good luck to both of you. Ready".
Hawk said "You got this Robby. One more point and we're champions".
The referee said, "And fight". Robby launched a flurry of attacks aimed at Miguel's shoulder. Miguel looked more injured with each strike and even though he could end the fight here, he continued to aim for the shoulder to inflict more damage. He then grabbed Miguel by the left shoulder causing him great pain and forcing him to the ground. Robby stood over Miguel ready to deliver the final and winning blow when he turned to Johnny who mouthed 'Don't do this'. Robby knew that his dad was saying this because he cared for him and that he couldn't win this way. Miguel turned to Samantha and his mom and knew that he had to fight and win for them. In this position all he could do was the two-legged Karate kick to win and even though he might fail, he still has to try like he has to try and defeat Cobra Kai. And win or lose they'll still be by his side. Miguel then rolled surprising Robby and as Robby moved to strike Miguel put his weight on his right arm and put both of his legs into the air kicking Robby in the stomach and causing him to fall over backwards. Miguel then stood up. The referee said "Stop. Point. Winner".
The referee held Miguel's arm in the air announcing that he was the winner. The crowd cheered and Miguel's friends and family flooded the stage to congratulate him. Daryl said "How about that. A two-legged kick to not only win the point but the tournament. Miyagi-do sure does know how to make their wins memorable don't they".
Daniel stood back like Mr Miyagi stood back and let the crowd cheer for him. Samantha hugged Miguel and told him "You did it. You won". She then kissed him on stage.
Daryl said "Who saw that coming, huh. I know I didn't. So, without further ado, let me present the trophy to this year's new champion, Miguel Diaz and Miyagi-do Karate". Daryl then passed the trophy to Miguel.
Robby went over to Johnny and said, "I tried my best dad".
Johnny responded, "I know you did and I'm proud of you". Johnny then hugged Robby and said, "You fought like a man, and won were it truly counted". Robby was happy to hear this and left with Johnny.
Rosa cheered "Miguel".
Daryl asked, "Is there anything you wanna say to the people son".
Miguel took the mic and said "I just wanted to say that if it wasn't for my sensei, I wouldn't be here. He's a great man and I'm so happy to have met him and for him to have turned my life around. Karate and the teaching of Miyagi-do turned my around and I'm forever grateful for that, so this trophy is for my Sensei and Miyagi-do. So, come on sensei I need help hoisting this trophy". Daniel made it over to Miguel and they both hoisted the trophy together. The crowd cheered and Hawk watched them cheer for Miguel and he thought to himself that he may have been wrong about Miguel and Cobra Kai. He then left the tournament alone.
Rosa hugged Miguel and said in Spanish "Concho, you mopped the floor with him".
Carmen hugged Miguel and said, "You were amazing".
Miguel responded, "Thanks Ma".
Demetri hugged Miguel and said "Hey man, there he is. Great work on the victory".
Aisha said, "You did great".
Yasmine said "Yeah, you were actually pretty cool. I can't believe I just said that".
Moon said, "Good work Miguel".
Miguel asked, "DO you know where Eli is".
Moon answered "No, I don't want to after what he did to you".
Miguel responded "I wouldn't hold it against him. Cobra Kai does it to you. I'll invite him to the after party".
Samantha said, "That's so sweet".
Daniel said "Yeah, that's the Miyagi-do way. And I'm so proud that you're taking the lessons on, and not just on the mat".
Miguel responded, "Thank you Sensei".
Daniel said "Now, me, your mom, and Anthony are going out to dinner so Sam, don't let the victory party get too wild".
Miguel asked "You serious. You're going to let us have a party at your house".
Daniel answered "Sure. It's where Miyagi-do is. It's where the party should be. Just don't damage anything".
Samantha said, "Okay dad".
Amanda said, "Or have the police come".
Samantha agreed "Got it, mom".
Carmen gave her son a kiss on the forehead and said "Be safe Mijo. Come home when you're finished".
Miguel agreed "Of course mom". He then screamed "Victory party". Everyone around him cheered.
Johnny went back home and even though he was upset about losing to LaRusso again was happy that Robby didn't lose himself. Johnny noticed that his door was unlocked and as he entered, he saw someone sitting in his seat. Kreese said "Mr Lawrence. Losing again to LaRusso, I see". Johnny was stunned to see Kreese in his apartment and Kreese continued "But it doesn't matter because even though you lost the battle, we're still in the war. And this time we will not lose".
