chapter one
the day time fell
Twillight Sparkle is in the map room of her castle triple checking her list as she's cleaning up the room again as she is waiting for her freinds to arrive and she turns around as she hears the doors of the room open and her freind Applejack walks in with a small wagon of food. "Applejack it's so good to see you." Twillight says as she walks over and hugs Applejack "It's great to see you too we've all been so busy these last few weeks it'll be nice to see all the girls again." Applejack replied as Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy flew into the room mid discussion "And then I swooped down and saved the day." Rainbow Dash said boastfully to Fluttershy "Rainbow Fluttershy how are you? and how was your trip to the Crystal Empire?" Twillight asked "It was amazing we managed to set up a sancturary for all the cute animals." Fluttershy responded "It was alright I guess it could of been like 20 percent cooler though." Rainbow Dash said and then there's a loud bang from a party cannon. "PARTY TIME." Pinkie Pie shouted as she jumped onto the table and she throws out a bunch of balloons and streamers and the girls giggle then after a few minutes Rarity walked into the room with bags under her eyes "So sorry for being late darlings I had to finish a large order yesterday." Rarity said as she yawned "No need to worry about it Rarity." Twillight replied then everypony sat down onto their seats as Twillight used her magic to spread the food Applejack made all around the table. "Alright now everyponies here we can have breakfast and then I have a full day of fun activites planned fo-."
Twillight said before being inturrupted mid sentance as a pie flew straight into her face "Pinkie." Twillight said as she used a cloth to clean her face "What? it wasn't me." Pinkie Pie said as a dozon bunnies suddenly fall onto the table and cause a mess as they scatter all over the room and soon several strange portals opened up all around the room and plants, small animals and items of food start flying into the room from all directions as everypony scrambled to do what they could "What is going on." Applejack said as she ducked a squirell flying right above her "Flying cupcakes yay." Pinkie pie said as she hopped around catching cupcakes that where flying into the room. "Somepony sheild me and my beautiful main." Rarity said as she hid behind her chair and as Rainbow Dash was helping Fluttershy with handling the animals that where flying into the room Twillight jumped onto the table and used her magic to grab everything that was coming into the room "Keep calm everypony i'm sure there's a reasonable explonation for this." Twillight said and then as quickly as the portals opened they all suddenly closed. "well that was very strange but it seems to be over so we should still be able to do everything on my list." Twillight said then the doors burst open as Spike rushed in and he was breathing heavily "Twillight." he said as he rushed over to twillight with a scroll from Celestia and then Twillight took the scroll and reads it and after a minute of reading she looked up at all her freinds "Celestia has requested our audience at Canterlot at once she says it's urgent." Twillight said to her freinds.
then she quickly got ready and packed her bags and places Spike on her back as the group then rushes to the train station and as they run portals are opening and closing all around them and they manage to catch the train just in time and as it starts it's journy to Canterlot. Inside the group sit down and watch as portals are opening up all over Equestria "So does anypony have any ideas on what's happening." Rainbow Dash asked "I bet this is all Discords doing he is the Lord of Chaos after all." Rarity replied "well that seems rather harsh to assume it's him with no evidence" Fluttershy responded "Well we'll know when we get to Canterlot let's just hope Celestia knows how to solve this crisis." Twillight said as she walked up and down the train cart. "Twillight i'm sure everthing will be alright come sit down stressing yourself out won't do any help" Applejack said as she took Twillights hoof and pulled her to the to the seats "It's just we've all been busy recently and I wanted today to be perfect." Twllight replied as she sat down "we'll still be spending the day together even if it wasn't what you planned." Applejack said back "Y-yeah i guess so." Twillight said back.
Soon the group arrived at Canterlot and they quickly run to the castle's library restricted section where the three Princesses and Discord are talking and looking through several dozen books "Twillight its good to see you." Celestia said as she walked over to Twillight. "So do you know what's happening? or how to stop it? it's not just Discord being Discord again is it?" Twillight responded "calm down Twillight we don't know much about what is happening but something like this happened before a long time ago and Starswirl managed to resolve it so I belive there must be a solution in one of the books here." Celestia replied "Well we know its not me and to assume I did it is rather mean we're freinds afterall." Discord said as he looked up from the book he was reading Twillight then turned around to look at her freinds"well we should spilt up into groups to make the search faster." Twillight said the group then split up into three groups and head to different sections.
"Do you think Twillight is ok she seemed rather stressed on the train." Rarity said to Applejack as she started reading "Well she has been very busy and had the whole day planned before this." Applejack responded as she grabbed a random book "Well maybe if we find a solution fast we can still make it back in time for a shopping trip." Rarity replied "Is that all you can think about right now Rarity?" Applejack said back "Of course not i'm just trying to be optimistic." Rarity replied as they both kept looking through books.
While across the room Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie are searching through books toghether "Is it just me or is Discord acting strangely normal?" Rainbowdash asked Pinkiepie "well I guess he's acting a lot less chaotic than normal but i'm sure its nothing." Pinkie Pie responded "Yeah maybe but if this has him acting like this we should be concorned." Rainbow Dash said.
In a corner Twillight, Fluttershy and Spike are sitting at a table with stacks of books on it as Twillight is speedreading through as fast as she can "Twillight you don't need to read so fast." Fluttershy said to Twllight "The faster i read the sooner we'll find a solution to keep Equestria safe." Twillight replied as she kept reading through books as fast as she could then after a few hours of searching through books Spike runs over to Twillight. "I found something." Spike said as he placed a book infront of Twillight and she quickly reads through it. "yes this exactly what we're looking for." Twillight replied the she rushed over to celestia "Did you find something Twillight?" Celestia asked "yes this book is about time rifts which is what a believe the portals are and this book and it contains spells that can help us control and stop the rifts." Twillight replied as she placed the book open on the table the page being shown describing a powerful spell that could be used to stop most time rifts from appearing "we should cast the spell." Celestia said.
The four Princesses concontrate and after an hour of effort they manage to succeed in creating the spell and after a flash of light that spread all across Equestria like a wave closing all the time rifts ending the chaos all across Equestria but then Twillight collasped weakened from taking part in casting the spell "TWILLIGHT." all of Twillights freinds shouted as they rushed over to help her up "are you ok Twillight?" Celestia asked "Y-yes i'm fine that was just a bit more than I expected but I can handle it." Twillight said back "so does this mean the flying cupcake portals are all gone?" Pinkie Pie asked "yeah this seemed to be solved pretty fast." Rainbow dash said "Unfortunately not allthough this spell will temporarily stop most rifts from opening some will still be able to form aswell until we find whatever is the source of this chaos we all have to keep casting the spell and dealing with any rifts that appear but for now all is calm." Celestia said "So what needs to be done next?" Twillight asked Celestia "For now there's not much to do I will handle this and for you Twillight you should return home and rest." Celastia said back.
And soon the group are on the train returning back to Ponyville all talking together except Twillight who is sitting alone her head resting against the table "Are you feeling ok Twi?" Rarity asked as she sat on the opposite side of the table "Do you think i'm good enough to be one of the Princesses?" Twillight said as she looked up at Rarity "Of course you are darling why would you ask that?" Rarity asked back "I don't know I feel like I don't do enough for Equestria and it was becase of me it took so long for the spell that stopped the rifts to be cast. "Twillight of course you're good enough remember you stopped Midnight Moon and brought back Princess Luna and you also stopped Discord and Lord Tirek when they tried to take over Equestria you've done so much and Celestia chose you and you trust her judgment right?" Rarity said back "Y-yeah thank you Rarity." Twillight said back as she lifted her head up and looked out the window.
Soon the train slows down and stops at the station in Ponyville and the group head back to the castle where the map room is still a huge mess from the chaos ealier in the day so the girls quickly start working together to clean the room "I'm sorry girls I was hoping today would be fun and relaxing but it ended up being the opposite." Twilight said to her freinds "It wasn't you fault Twillight." Applejack replied "Yeah also it was still fun to spend the day together even if it was hours of looking through old dusty books." Rainbow Dash said and soon the room is clean once again "Thanks for all the help today girls" Twillight said then suddenly all of her freinds gasp in shock and when Twillight turned around there's a large portal opening in the room and a pony slowly walks through the bright light covering them until the portal closed behind and when the light cleared everypony gasped the group being left completely stunned and shocked as they stare at the pony.
