Another one for KagamiPINKAgreste. Of course when I wrote this I wasn't expecting Bearfoottruck to give me the news that your father passed after the long battle he had been fighting. I am so so sorry for your loss and I wish I could do more in the wake of this. But if you can find peace in anything just know that after your father fought for so long, he isn't suffering anymore.

I promise to write Adrigami next!

Humanity had won in the end.

After all that strife and blood splattered, the sun shined brightly, and Takashi Komero could finally see a new era of peace for all the survivors. The delinquent-turned-hero smiled so brightly at the dawn of a new era that all his friends were stunned. Although a few of them were delighted. Alice shared in Takashi's elation, and Zeke licked Takashi's face affectionately. Miss Shizuka remarked that Takashi had gotten so strong and handsome after this ordeal. Causing Saya, Saeko, and Rei to blush. Kouta was too busy feeling triumphant that a nerd like himself lived. And Rei realized that her heart changed and Takashi's smile could never belong to her…

The start of that era happened when beautiful cherry blossoms started to bloom again, just like when the zombie outbreak started—cherry blossoms that fell on the fallen.

Takashi truly changed when he said the best thing to do now that humanity was saved was to have a wedding. Miss Shizuka was spaced out and didn't quite get what he meant until it clicked for the blonde-haired woman. She started jumping up and down, causing Takashi to get a bit bashful.

And he knew the girl he chose in the end, after everything they'd been through together.

Sometimes, the second love is better than the first.

"Miss Saeko," Takashi started. His eyes wandered as he blushed.

Saeko gave him a perplexed look.

"Yes, Takashi?"

"Saeko…" He paused as he gathered all his courage. Who knew asking the question would be more scary than fighting all those zombies.

"Saeko, I love you!" Takashi cried as the wind blew and cherry blossoms flew their way.

Saeko let out a gasp.

Takashi looked deep into her beautiful blue eyes to show he was serious.

"Takashi," Seako breathed as she blinked back tears, even if they were happy tears.

"I love you too, Takashi!"

But Takashi took it further by taking her hands in his, which only made Saeko blush harder.

"Well, will you become my wife?" Takashi asked.

Saeko started giggling. It was an adorable giggle, but Takashi wondered if he just screwed up until he saw her nodding while she was crying beautiful happy tears.

"Yes! Yes! Yes!" She cried.

"Of course I will become your wife!"

Their wedding vows were done under a beautiful cherry blossom tree.

Alice was highly elated and beamed at how beautiful Saeko looked. The little girl had handed the blushing bride her bouquet of lilies.

Rei smiled warmly at her two best friends, trying to prevent herself from crying, and Saya and Kouta blushed as they gently laced their hands together.

Miss Shizuka was coy about teasing the happy couple as she officiated them; both Takashi and Saeko blushed in embarrassment. But then Shizuka concluded they would make a wonderful husband and wife and told them to say their vows.

Saeko was over the moon to marry such a handsome and strong man. Takashi certainly looked different, with his hair smoothed down for the occasion.

And Takashi felt he was the luckiest bastard alive! Saeko looked gorgeous on their wedding day. Her long purple hair was in a high ponytail with a beautiful veil. And her wedding dress showed her glorious cleavage and a fancy short skirt with fishnet leggings.

He greatly respected this strong-willed woman. But she was also the sexiest lady he had ever known.

The newly married couple barely waited for Miss Shizuka to make the official announcement as they pressed their lips together.

All their friends cheered as Takashi and Saeko made out during their wedding kiss. Alice jumped for joy, and Kouta couldn't help but disturb the peace of the cherry blossoms by shooting his shotgun in the air.

But when Takashi and Saeko finally came up for air, they smiled back at their friends and said they wouldn't want it any other way.

"You look beautiful, Mrs. Komero!" Alice said.

"Oh…" Saeko blushed at the sound of her having Takashi's family name. She was the strongest fighter of all of them, and right then and there, she almost fainted.

But her husband held her hand tenderly. He was her rock.

"It's true," Takashi whispered as his eyes softened for her.

"Mrs. Komero," he said so smoothly as he moved in to kiss her lips again.

"Hmph!" Saya cried. "No wonder those two ended up together!"

Kouta smiled at his girlfriend. "Kind of like us sweetie?"

Saya giggled. "Yeah, kind of like us…" The two of them shared a sweet kiss as well.

Takashi and Saeko kept walking as they saw more remains of the aftermath of armageddon. Not all the corpses were cleaned up, and it was a bitter reminder of all the trauma. But, it was also a reminder that the disease that plagued humanity was gone for good, and Takashi and Saeko excitedly climbed up the pile of zombie corpses.

Shizuka was not far behind, with a camera taking a picture of the newlyweds sharing another kiss on top of the zombies. At the same time, their friends rejoiced in the background about humanity's victory. Of course, this photo also involves another gunshot in the air, courtesy of Kouta.

Once they were done, Saeko was ready to toss the bouquet in the air, and it landed perfectly in Saya's hands. Kouta couldn't be more overjoyed, and the couple noticed Takashi carrying Saeko away bridal style.

But before Saya and Kouta could celebrate their own love, they couldn't help but notice Rei looking a bit melancholy as the wind played around with her long hair.

Saya smiled and walked up to her.

"Here," she said as she handed Rei the bouquet.

Rei smiled as she accepted the bouquet.

"Oh, Saya, you didn't have to…"

Saya smirked and lightly smacked her friend's shoulder.

"But I want to Rei. You deserve it."

Rei smiled and nodded.

After Saya and Kouta left for a romantic rendezvous, Alice returned to a survivor area with Miss Shizuka. Rei, on the other hand, made a long journey to the memorial for the fallen.

The bouquet made the perfect flowers for Hisashi.

Rei looked up at the clear skies and knew her boyfriend would always be there for her in spirit as she moved forward to a new era.

The High School of the Dead's graduation was certainly one to remember.
