Chapter 206: Somepony to Watch Over me
The next day in Equestria, Apple Bloom and the Crusaders were waiting outside of a room where Applejack, Big Mac, and Granny Smith were talking about something, their voices muffled so the crusaders couldn't hear them, causing Apple Bloom to begin pacing back and forth as they waited for her family to come out. The more that the family talked, the more nervous that Apple Bloom became as she was waiting for them to make a decision, hoping that it would be a good one, the one that she was hoping and praying to be the one she wanted.
"Hey, relax Apple Bloom." Scootaloo said. "Whatever they decide on, we'll be here for you."
"Totally." Sweetie Belle said. "Even though it might change everything for you. Forever, and ever."
As she said that, it seemed to make Apple Bloom even more nervous, making Scootaloo hoof smack herself as she groaned.
"Way to go Sweetie Belle." Scootaloo said. "You went and made her even more nervous."
A moment later, they heard the lock that was on the door, the crusaders looking up to the door and as it swung open and from it, Applejack, Granny Smith, and Big Mac came out and as they did, Ruby and Yang came around the corner for their daily tasks, seeing that they were standing in front of the three fillies and knew it had to be something serious, sitting down and waiting for them to finish, Apple Bloom sweating as she waited for them to inform her of their decision.
"Well, we here have made our decision." Granny Smith said, making the crusaders sweat. "We have decided that... you're old enough to stay home alone for the afternoon and handle the chores on your own!"
The crusaders then gasped excitedly, barely able to hold in their excitement, but Apple Bloom composed herself, motioning for them to calm down as they looked up at the older ponies.
"Ah accept yer decision." Apple Bloom said.
The fillies then walked away, which surprised Applejack at how well Apple Bloom and her friends took it and didn't end up squealing like a little kid, turning to go and check on the foals when they all heard Apple Bloom and her friends cheering after they rounded a corner, making them all smile as they walked away.
"Ya sure it's a good idea to let Apple Bloom and Scootaloo be alone for an afternoon?" Applejack asked. "Ah know they're growin' up and all, but they're still just kids."
"Oh Applejack, Ah'm sure they'll be alright bein' alone for an afternoon." Granny Smith said. "Besides, we got some deliveries to make for the Apple Families famous Apple pies. And Ah'm gonna be gone for a while anyway and Spyro should be back any second now, right?"
"Ah wish." Applejack replied. "Spyro's in another town to pick up some parts for his garage and to give a report to his master about what's been goin' on. He'll be gone for a while longer because of it."
"Oh, that's a shame." Granny Smith said. "But on the plus side, it was nice of Rarity to take care of the fillies for the afternoon while you and Big Mac are gone. Plus with Ruby and Yang helpin' we'll be able to deliver all the pies in a single day."
"Eeyup." Big Mac said.
"Now enough of this, let's go get them wagons stocked up." Granny Smith said.
Big Mac and Granny Smith walked ahead of Applejack, who hung back and looked out the window and into the sky to see the clouds moving and sighed, hoping that Spyro came back soon as she walked out of the house to help out with packing the pies and to head out to get the wagon ready to go. Meanwhile with Spyro in his Gozanti Cruiser, he was sleeping peacefully, happily napping as he traveled through Hyperspace to get to Traverse Town when the alarm went off, waking him up and making him groan, stretching out as he looked at the concole and saw that he was approaching his destination.
"Finally." Spyro said. "Coming out of Hyperspace now." A moment later, his ship started to slow down, coming out of Hyperspace and making his way towards Traverse town, seeing the town was getting closer and closer as he got up and moved to the back. "Now to get those crates ready for Cid."
As he was walking to the back, on the ground below, the Heartless were moving about trying to find anyone to attack, but as one of them rounded a corner, it was then destroyed and a dark roar sounded out as a shadow appeared, moving away to find something else to attack. Meanwhile in Equestria, Applejack and Big Mac were finishing loading up the pies into the wagons to take to their destinations while Yang and Ruby got themselves hooked up, though they were having trouble getting hooked up, but eventually got it. As they were getting ready, Apple Bloom was coming out with the last of the pies, very excited for being able to stay home alone.
"Gonna be home alone with Scootaloo, all on our own!" Apple Bloom said, but she ended up slamming into Applejack by accident, the farm pony gasping as she rushed for the pies, diving and getting the pies before glarring at Apple Bloom. "Oh, sorry Applejack. Ah'm just so excited to be home alone for a while!"
"Now hey there little filly, Ah know yer excited, but bein' the only pony here to take care of today's chores is a huge responsibility." Applejack said, putting the pies into the wagon and closing it. "Ya sure yer ready for this kinda responsibility?"
"Sure am!" Apple Bloom said as Applejack hitched herself up, but wasn't too tight to not harm her baby. "And it means everythin' to me that you believe ah'm grown up enough to handle it. Ah won't let ya down."
"Well, ah better catch mah train." Granny Smith said. "Great aunt Pineapple get's mighty fussy when yer not on time." She then looked to Apple Bloom, patting her on the head as she looked to her. "You be sure to take care of yerself Apple Bloom. Same with the rest of ya. Especially you Applejack as all of ya are gonna be going to a mighty hard to reach town."
"Ah know Granny." Applejack said, putting her map into the pack. "It's why Ah volunteered to go and let Apple Bloom to remain home."
"It is?" Apple Bloom asked, Applejack realizing her mistake and smiled at her sister.
"Ah didn't mean it like that Apple Bloom." Applejack said. "Ah just take my job as yer big sister serious. Just like ah take my job as a mother serious and take care of Rosy and Midnight. And soon, my own little bundle of joy." She then rubbed her baby bump, smiling as she felt jittery and excited to see her baby when he or she would be born. "Which is why Ah spent all night makin' this."
She then reached into her own saddle bag and pulled out a list of something Applejack drew up and gave it to Apple Bloom.
"What is it?" Apple Bloom asked.
"It's just a list of reminders I drew up for ya." Applejack said.
"There's some soup in the fidge for you." Apple Bloom said, looking at the list and reading from the list. "Be sure not to heat it up too much. If it's too hot, be sure to blow on it to cooo it off. Applejack, Ah'm ten years old, Ah can take care of myself, so don't worry. Ah can handle myself and the chores."
"Ah guess yer right." Applejack said, though happy for her sister, she was still worried about her. "Ah not so sure Ah am."
"But you trust me enough to handle bein' alone and grown up enough to handle this, right?" Apple Bloom asked, smiling at her big sister.
The others nodded their heads, eager to give her a chance while Applejack sighed, still not sure it was a good idea, but knew she was grown up enough to handle it.
"Right." Applejack said, taking in a deep breath to calm herself down. "Well, good luck then little sis."
"Ok, great, see you soon, bye!" Apple Bloom said, pushing her sister away to get her moving while Granny Smith got into a taxi, everyone waving to her as the young filly waited to see the pie wagons were over the hill, cheering when the wagons were gone as she jumped around and cheered. "Ah'm home alone! Scootaloo and Ah are home alone!"
"I know, right!" Scootaloo said, flying down on her wings made of light and landed next to her friend. "What are we going to do first!?"
"Well we better get the chores taken care of first." Apple Bloom said. "But then we can go into Spyro's garage and see what we can do or watch!"
"But his garage is still damaged, so we can't watch any of the movies he has." Scootaloo said.
"Ah'm sure we'll think of somethin'." Apple Bloom said. "Come on, let's get started!"
The two fillies then ran to get their chores taken care of and have the rest of their day to try and find out what they could do for the rest of their afternoon. With Applejack and Big Mac, they were walking through the forest, though mac was calm, Applejack was very nervous as she walked, bitting her hoof nail before stopping all of a sudden, which caused Big Mac to hit his head against the wagon, which Ruby and Yang ran into his wagon and groaned.
"Oh, sorry everypony." Applejack said as they walked around to stand next to her. "Ah was just frettin' about Apple Bloom and Scootaloo. You think they'll be alright on their own?"
"Eeyup." Big Mac said, continuing to walk.
"Don't worry, she's a big girl." Ruby said. "She can handle being alone for a few hours. Besides, you should have seen how worried Yang was when she and dad had to leave me alone for a few hours. She litterally wrapped a bunch of pillows around me to keep me from falling or stubbing my toe."
"Hey, you were only nine when we had to leave you alone." Yang said as the two sisters walked away. "It was a very scary time."
"Ah just can't help it." Applejack said, walking after them. "There just some thing's Ah wish Ah had time to put on her list. Like if she wants ot get a spoon out of the drawer, she needs to open the drawer first."
"Seriously?" Yang asked. "She's literally ten. I'm sure she can handle getting some utensils."
"Ah know, ah know." Applejack said. "Guess Ah'm just bein' silly."
"Eeyup." Big Mac said.
"But Ah'd feel a heap better if Ah have a way of checkin' on her and Scootaloo." Applejack said. "After all, Scootaloo is basically my sister, though Spyro and Ah aren't married yet, Ah still feel like she's my sister because of how long she's been with us and with Spyro. Maybe Ah can check on her one last time before makin' the delivery."
"Uh, I don't think that's a good idea Applejack." Yang said. "Believe me, when I checked on Ruby everytime, it just got on her nervers and-"
"Ah'll just check on her real quick and be right back." Applejack said, walking back to the farm.
The three of them watched as she walked back towards the farm, Big Mac shaking his head as he knew that this was not going to end well while Yang covered her eyes, Ruby looking to the large stallion as she too had a bad feeling about this, but they kept going to finish the delivery. Meanwhile with Spyro, he had just landed his ship in the docking bay of Traverse town and was lowering the ramp, walking down with several crates right behind him, walking towards the doors, but as he did, there was a shadow behind the door, which moved away as he approached and entered the First District.
"Well, here I am." Spyro said, looking at the First District, but finding it was empty. "Weird. This place is usually bursting with activity from the locals. Where is everyone?"
As he asked that, he suddenly felt a disturbance in the Force, looking around and sensing there was a lot of fear all around the area, looking around to figure out what was going on when he spotted some Heartless, calling his Keyblade to fight them, but when he took a closer look, he noticed the Heartless were shaking, but not from anger, but fron fear, confusing him as they disappeared.
"Ok, that's not making any sense." Spyro thought to himself. "Why would the Heartless be afraid? The only thing they fear is the Keyblade and they come attacking whoever has one. Why would they be hidding?"
He then felt a chill run up his spine, looking back as a shadowy figure appeared from the darkness and took a swipe at him, which he dodged the attack and rolled away to avoid being injured before stopping and holding his blade to get ready for a fight, seeing that what attacked him was a giant werewolf like beast, but it wasn't a Heartless as it's larger than a Large Body and it's entire head was a skull with red veins growing through it, bone like spikes growing from the back, on the elbow, and from the shin of the leg, roaring out at him as if challenging him to a fight as he stood up.
"Well, guess I found out what it was that was scaring all of the Heartless." Spyro said, holding his blade. "I don't know what you are, but you're definitely not something that belongs in this world." It then growled, howling as it lunged straight for Spyro, but he dodged the attack, slashing at the arm and making it tumble to the ground. "Looks like somebody needs some Obedience training." it got up, growling as it held it's arm before it healed itself, looking to Spyro as it roared in rage to attack again. "Alright little doggy, let's dance."
He took a battle position to get ready for a fight, but on one of the rooftops was a woman in a black and red dress with pale white skin and silver hair, veins on her face that grew from below her neck, her eyes black and red with a dark smile on her face.
"So, this is the Prince of Light and Darkness?" The woman asked as more of those wolf creatures appeared next to her. "Let's see how powerful you really are then, shall we?"
Meanwhile in Equestria, Apple Bloom and Scootaloo were going over the list of chores to see what they could get accomplished while the other Apple Family was away.
"Alright, number one hundred and seventy-two." Apple Bloom said. "Make sure to punpo the bellows to keep the flames in the stove going and the stove warm."
"On it!" Scootaloo said.
She then ran over to the bellows and started bouncing on it, making the lids on the stove jump into the air and back down, Apple Bloom checking it off to see what was next.
"Alright, next, make sure the hats and bows closet is fully stocked." Apple Bloom said, which Scootaloo opened the door, showing there were plenty of hats and bows in there before closing it as Apple Bloom checked it off. "We're good there."
"Anything else?" Scootaloo asked.
"Nope, that's the last chore on Applejack's list." Apple Bloom said, rolling the scroll up. "We're all done for the day."
"Alright, now it's movie time!" Scootaloo exclaimed. "I already checked inside the garage and AIVA said the theater room is working perfectly!"
"Alright!" Apple Bloom said. "What will we watch!?"
"I found several movies we could watch!" Scootaloo replied. "And one called Coraline! But it's classified as a kids horror film according to how Spyro sorted it, so I think we'll save it for Nightmare Night!"
"That's a great idea!" Apple Bloom said. "We can watch it after we're done Trick or Treating!"
"Well what are we waiting for!?" Scootaloo asked. "Let's get going!"
"Apple Bloom!" Applejack exclaimed, bursting through the door and spooking them to hit a table, making a bowl of spaghetti onto Apple Bloom. "Scootaloo!"
"Applejack?" Apple Bloom asked. "What the hey are you doing here?"
"Ah came back to check on you two." Applejack said, looking around and seeing the mess the kitchen was in after spooing the fillies. "And Ah'm glad Ah did. Ah didn't realize how dangerous things are around here."
"Thanks, but we're really alright." Apple Bloom said, cleaning herself off.
"Well you both are now." Applejack said, hugging them. "Because Ah'm here and Ah'm not leavin'! Ah'm not leavin' my two baby sisters!"
"Um, when did I become your little sister?" Scootaloo asked.
"Ah'm not a Baby!" Apple Bloom replied, pushing her sister away. "Ah can take care of myself!"
"Yeah, and what about the pies you were supposed to deliver?" Scootaloo asked.
"Don't worry, family is way more important that some pies." Applejack replied.
"But we're fine." Apple Bloom said as Applejack got a broom and started cleaning. "Besides, this mess is your fault anyway."
"Ah know." Applejack said, walking to her and hugging her. "Ah should never have left you two alone."
"But we don't need you looking after us." Scootaloo said.
"Yeah, we can handle bein' alone." Apple Bloom said, showing the list her sister gave her. "Just look at this ridiculous list you gave us. there's some soup in the fridge."
"What was that Apple Bloom?" Applejack asked.
"Just watch me!" Apple Bloom said, opening the refridgerator.
"Apple Bloom wait!" Scootaloo said.
Apple Bloom then jumped on the fridge, but ended up spilling some jam on her face, making her fall and the soup, along with some more spaghetti, fell on her, covering her.
"Oh no, Apple Bloom!" Applejack said, rushing over.
"Saw that coming." Scootaloo said.
"Oh, this is worse than Ah thought." Applejack said. "Don't worry girls, Ah'm here now and Ah'm not leavin' the both of ya home alone ever again. Ah'm stayin' right here by your side, always!"
The two fillies looked at one another, completely shocked that Applejack was planning on staying by their side and never giving them a moment's peace, or allowing them to be alone ever as Applejack walked away, Apple Bloom shaking the food off as she groaned.
"Oh, this day can't get any worse." Apple Bloom said, which it did as she tried to walked away.
However, a moment later, as she took a step, she slipped and fell onto the ground, sliding back into the fridge as more jam fell on her, which Scootaloo just face smacked herself as she knew that was going to happen, the Jinx counter appearing and changing the number from eleven to twelve. Meanwhile in Traverse Town, Spyro was leaping from wall to wall as the beast was trying to attack him, slashing at the walls as Spyro just grinned, landing on the ground and slamming his foot on the ground, making a large crevice appear in the ground and made the creature fall to the ground, growling before it roared in rage, ranting pay back, but Spyro just held the blade as the Chaos Emeralds on his chest started to glow, finally deciding to use them after only using them for healing. The red emerald started to glow, followed by the indigo emerald and then the purple emerald, all three energies shooting from his chest as they impalled the creature, making it howl in pain as the three streams of energy flew back towards them, except the red energy turned into a tiger, roaring out as the indigo energy turned into a falcon and the purple energy turned into a dragon, all three striking the beasdt and leaving colored gashes that made it howl some more until the energy went into his Keyblade.
He then held his blade up as the energy changed from Red, indigo, and purple into pure white, changing into a dragon as he threw his blade, the dragon roaring out as it released three balls of white energy, hitting the beast before it cut him in half, the best howling as it turned into particles of light before flying into the air, leaving the area in shambles as he breathed a sigh of relief.
"Ok, definitely not a Heartless." Spyro said. "Heartless aren't that feral. they're usually calculating and attack in groups. It could be an Alpha class, but then again it would fall this easily. Especially with my power." He then heard a gun shot ring out, looking towards the door leading to the Second District. "I know that blast. It's Leon. What kind of trouble did he get himself into now?"
He then started running in the direction of the fight, leaving the crates behind to see what he could do to help while the woman watched him leave, not looking impressed and being bored as she watched im run.
"That can't be all the power this prince has." The woman said as the creatures growled. "I heard he has far greater power than that." She then looked behind herself as the shadows started to move around as a horse like creature rose out with a humanoid looking thing on it's back, approaching the woman as she placed her hand on the horse head. "Push him to his limits. I want to see all his power and not just some side show carnival act."
The creature roared as it rushed into the shadows again, following him to start picking a fight. Meanwhile in Equestria, Applejack was calling out for both Apple Bloom and Scootaloo to try and find them, not noticing that they were hiding behind the barn as Applejack walked by.
"Geez, does she overreact like this all the time?" Scootaloo asked.
"Not usually." Apple Bloom said. "Chances are that havin' this baby might be makin' her extra protective. She'll probably get over it eventually."
"How soon in eventually?" Scootaloo asked.
"There you both are!" Applejack said, spooking them. "You both need anythin'?"
"Not soon enough." Apple Bloom replied. "Look Applejack, Ah know ya mean well, but we don't need ya watchin' over us all the time. Ah can take care of things by myself."
"Yeah, we're not babies you know." Scootaloo said. "We managed the chores, we can take care of ourselves!"
The two fillies then started running away from Applejack, which she giggled at how cute they were being as Apple Bloom grabbed a rake to try and rake up some leaves, but as she did, she noticed there was a pillow on the rake, dropping it as soon as she saw the pillow.
"Where the heck did this pillow come from?" Apple Bloom asked. "Who goes puttin' a pillow on a rake?"
"Oh, Ah don't know." Applejack replied, playing all innocent. "Maybe somepony who really loves her little sisters and doesn't want anything bad happening to them and get an owey."
She then put a helmet on both of the fillies, which only annoyed them both as they went to buck some apples, Scootaloo kicking the tree to show they didn't need help and prove they wouldn't get hurt, but as she kicked the tree, only the leaves fell, both looking up to see the apples were being caught by nets instead of falling to the ground, both looking to Applejack as she put helmets on them again, which got under Apple Blooms skin. A while later, Apple Bloom was using a wheelbarrow to move some apples to the barn, but as she was moving the barrow, Applejack put some training wheels on it, making her glare at her sister as she once again put a helmet on her head, making her growl again. As for Scootaloo, she was working on her scooter, replacing a few old parts while in Spyro's garage, but as she reached for a screwdriver to replace a wheel, she found it was replaced with a plastic screwdriver, Applejack putting a helmet on her and making Scootaloo growl as well. After a little while, both fillies came to the house, both still wearing the helment to avoid being forced to wear it again as they came to the front door.
"She's far worse than Spyro." Scootaloo said.
"Tell me about it." Apple Bloom said. "At least Spyro didn't force us to wear helmets when we were doin' our chores." She then opened the door to go inside, but when she went in, the two of them saw that the entire place had been baby proofed, corners on pictures and furniture wrapped in plastic, glass wearred in bubble wrap, even the furniture was wrapped in plastic to keep it safe, making her yell in fruastration. "Are ya kiddin' me!? Ya went and baby proofed the entire house!?"
"Yes ah did." Applejack said, walking in. "Ah let ya both down once, but Ah won't let ya both down again. Never again."
"BUT WE'RE FINE!" Apple Bloom screamed, throwing the helmet away. "We don't need ya watchin' us all the time!"
"Yeah, we're grown up enough to take care of ourselves." Scootaloo said.
"Ah, that so sweat of ya." Applejack said, hugging them. "Ah know the both of ya are tryin' to make me feel better, but don't worry, Ah'll always be here to protect ya."
She then put the helmet back on Apple Bloom, followed by another helment on top of the ones they already had, which she growled even louder, voicing her frustration, but Applejack refused to listen, putting them both in their beds and putting up a pen around them both like a crib and after a little bit, Sweetie Belle arrived and the two penned up crusaders filled her in on what had happened.
"And that's what happened." Apple Bloom said.
"Hey there ya'll!" Applejack said, poking her head out the door. "Do ya need anythin'? A snack, hoof massage, a snack while havin' a snack?"
"Why that sounds delightful." Sweetie Belle said, which both Apple Bloom and Scootaloo put their hooves over her mouth.
"We're fine!" Apple Bloom said, hissing underneath her voice.
"Well, okay then." Applejack said. "But y'all can count on me to be close by if ya need anythin'."
Apple Bloom then slammed the door on Applejack, keeping her out while Apple Bloom groaned in frustration.
"Ya see what Ah mean!?" Apple Bloom asked. "If this keeps up, Ah'll never be able to do anythin' without Applejack hoverin' over me! And with her baby on the way, it's only gonna be worse!"
"But what can we do about it?" Scootaloo asked. "Like you said, when she has this baby, she's going to be unbearable. Spyro would never act like this. There has to be a way to get her off of our backs."
Apple Bloom walked ot the window and looked outside to come up with an idea to try and show Applejack she wasn't a baby anymore, seeing the pie cart that Applejack didn't deliver, forming an idea as she smiled. Meanwhile in Traverse town, Leon was fighting along side Qrow and Raven, which they were going through the Heartless as quickly as possible, but they continued to respawn, beginning to overwhelm them as they started to breath heavily from the fighting.
"They keep coming." Raven said, slashing through a few more of the Shadows. "Where are they coming from?"
"They come from the darkness." Leon said, blasting another Shadow. "They come from the darkness in everyone's hearts. Seems like they are after you two for some reason."
"This is getting very old." Qrow said, changing the scythe into a sword. "We need an escape route now!"
"Only way out is through them!" Leon said, cutting through them, but more took their place. "I hate these things! They're like roaches, they don't know when to stay down! We need something powerful enough to destroy them in one attack."
"Then it's a good thing I've been practicing my magic then!" Spyro said. They all looked up to see Spyro was standing on the railing near the door to the First District, jumping up as he conjured his wings and spread them, flying into the air as the membrane between the wings suddenly changed from yellow to the night sky, stars twinkling in the wings as they glowed brighter and brighter as he smiled. "Here's something i picked up from Equestria, with my own little twist. Shining Storm!"
A moment later, the stars in his wings started to twinkle and glow brighter and brighter before the stars above his started to glow as well, some of which were moving on their own before some of them came down from the sky, heading to the ground below, but the stars then exploded, turning into tiny lights that fell down like bullets, hitting all of the Heartless as they screeched in pain before exploding, releasing hundreds of pink hearts into the sky, disappearing as Spyro levitated to the ground.
"Heh, show off." Leon said. However, as Spyro landed on the ground, his wings disappeared as he knelt on the ground, exhausted from the attack. "Spyro!" Leon then rushed over, Qrow and Raven watching as their ally went over to help him up. "Hey, you ok?"
"Yeah, I'm fine." Spyro replied. "That new spell was a little more powerful than I had anticipated."
"I'll say that was powerful." Leon said. "I never saw anything like it before. You make that up or something?"
"Sort of." Spyro replied. "It's something I've been working on along with a few other spells. Though I should have known better than to use a level ten spell like that. And one I classified with a red star."
"Come again?" Leon asked.
"Oh, I sometimes label my spells based on level and the color of the star." Spyro replied. "Black stars mean the spell or item is extremely dangerous and the level it is represents how powerful it is. Shining Storm is a level ten and has a red star on it, so it means it's extremely powerful and very dangerous, but if it has a black star, you might want to look for cover because it's the most dangerous classification I could give to either a spell or an item."
"Thanks for the warning." Leon said, looking to Raven and Qrow was they walked over. "Spyro, meet Raven and Qrow. I found then fighting a bunch of Heartless."
"Well, anyone who's brave enough to fight the Heartless is ok in my book." Spyro said, though he could see they couldn't care less as they approached. "Geez, you guys are a couple of stiffs. Didn't enjoy fighting the Heartless, huh?"
"Believe me, I'd much prefer not to be here in the first place." Qrow said. "I was on my way to meet Ruby with my sis here and-"
"Wait, you know Ruby?" Spyro asked. "Ruby Rose?"
"How do you know my niece?" Qrow asked, suddenly feeling scared and worried.
"I met her a while ago." Spyro replied. "Along with her sister Yang and her friend Jade."
"They're alright?" Qrow asked.
"They're fine." Spyro replied. "Though Ruby lost her scythe, I can help her to replace the weapon."
"If I know Ruby, she will want to make the weapon herself and not have someone else build it for her." Qrow said. "Is there a chance we could see them?"
"Of course." Spyro replied. "I can take you to the world we're at until I find a way to restore your home. I have a feeling that your nieces will be more than happy to see you."
"Too bad that they'll never get the chance to see them." A woman said.
They turned to see who it was that spoke to them, seeing the woman in the black and red dress with the veins on her face, Raven and Qrow turning pale when they saw her standing in front of the door to the First District.
"Hello ugly." Spyro said.
"Salem." Qrow said.
A moment later, more of the unknown dark creatures appeared, leaping down and slamming the ground, roaring in rage as it starred him down.
"Great, more of these mutts." Spyro said.
"They're Grimm!" Qrow shouted, rushing over and standing by his side.
"Grimm?" Spyro asked.
"Creatures that are created by Salem." Raven replied. "They were originally created by the God of Darkness, but after Salem fell into darkness, she can make them at will."
"Great, another evil witch." Spyro said, looking at her. "Like Maleficent isn't bad enough."
"Maleficent?" Salem asked. "Hmm, a witch."
"Great, I had to go and open my big mouth." Spyro said.
"I must thank you for letting me know about this witch." Salem said. "Looks like I have a new ally."
"We can't let her leave!" Spyro exclaimed, summoning his blade.
"We'll need to get through those Beowolves first." Raven said. However, a moment later, the Horse Grimm appeared, looking down at the three of them as it roared out in rage while making Raven and Qrow back up. "Make that two Beowolves and a Nuckelavee."
"A what?" Spyro asked.
"It's the combination of a Horse Grimm and an Imp." Qrow replied. "Let's just say Ruby and her friends had some difficulty fighting it."
"Then leave it to me." Spyro replied. "You take care of the overgrown mutts." Spyro grew his wings and flew into the air, calling the energy in his emeralds to replenish himself as he spread his wings again, this time instead of the stars appearing in the membrane of the wings, he flapped his wings and unleashed gale force winds that went to the Grimm, slicing through it, but it seemed to regenerate itself, healing all of the damage that was caused by the wind, surprised to see that the damage he inflicted didn't do a thing. "Ok, this is going to be a problem."
As he attacked, Salem turned around and walked away, looking back to the prince as he continued to fight the massive Grimm, smiling as she walked away to go make a new friend. Meanwhile in Equestria, Apple Bloom had opened the window to her room, looking back to her friends as Sweetie Belle put on one of her extra bows.
"Alright, you girls know the plan?" Apple Bloom asked.
"Sure do." Scootaloo replied. "Sweetie Belle and I will run interference while you deliver the pies. Sweetie Belle will wear one of your bows and pretend to be you, pretending to be asleep."
"This plan is going to work." Apple Bloom. "Now, if you get caught then-"
"No time, she's coming!" Scootaloo said, everyone hearing her hoof steps as she approched the fillies room. "Quick, get going!"
Apple Bloom then rushed to the window and climbed out, falling into a stack of haybales before she she climbed down to the wagon and hitched herself up and started running away before she could get caught, Sweetie Belle getting into the bottom bunk and covering her head to where only the bow to show, which Scootaloo climbed up the ladder right as Applejack walked in, seeing Scootaloo get up into the bunk and look disappointed.
"Hey Scootaloo." Applejack said, looking around to try and find Sweetie Belle. "Aw, you both must have been so tuckered that you sent your friend home and went to bed. then again, you're both delicate flowers."
"Ok, seriously Applejack, we're not babies anymore." Scootaloo said.
"Ah know, but that doesn't mean you're both not very precious to me." Applejack said, walking away. "Ah'll be back in a bit to check on you. Sleep tight."
She then turned the lights off and closed the door, leaving the fillies alone in the room as Sweetie Belle looked out from underneath the covers.
"Alright, it worked." Sweetie Belle said quietly, hearing her hoof steps come back.
"But not for long!" Scootaloo said, Sweetie Belle covering herself up again to continue with the disguise.
"Just checking in on you two again." Applejack said. "Need anythin' now?"
"No thanks." Scootaloo said, Applejack closing the door.
This went on for about a very long time, Applejack continuously checking on them asking if they needed anything, which seemed to get on Scootaloo's nerves while Sweetie Belle just fell asleep, snoring peacefully while Scootaloo layed awake, her forelegs crossed while as she layed in her bed, her leg twitching as was her eyes as Applejack came back in, yawning as she exhausted herself from all the running around.
"Just checkin' again." Applejack said while yawning.
"For pete sake Applejack, will you just relax!?" Scootaloo asked, almost shouted, which Sweetie Belle didn't seem to wake up. "You keep on checking on us every five seconds making sure we're alright and we literally haven't moved from this one spot! All you're doing is running yourself ragged, stressing yourself out for nothing! We handled the chores, we're safe, you litterally have nothing to worry about, so stop stressing yourself out and let go of the idea that we're still babies!"
"Yer right." Applejack said, surprising Scootaloo as she walked over to Sweetie Belle and ruffled her mane. "Ah keep checkin' on you both every five seconds and here you are safe as can be. Ah guess Ah don't need to be frettin' over you two after all. And with how you handled the chores without us, guess you both can take care of yourselves afterall."
"WOOHOO, THAT'S AWESOME!" Scootaloo shouted. "Apple Bloom will be thrilled to hear that!"
"Wait, what?" Applejack asked. "What do you mean she'll be thrilled to hear that?"
"Uh oh." Scootaloo said, knowing that they were busted.
Applejack felt her heart completely stop, she immediately removed the cover, which woke Sweetie Belle up and looked to see the panicked look on Applejack's face, knowing they were busted.
"Sweeite Belle!?" Applejack asked. "Where the heck is Apple Bloom!?" Before they could answer, she then started running around the room, tearing the place apart to try and find her. "She's not here! Where is she!? She could be anywhere!" She continued to tear the room apart, lifting the bed with incredible strength to look for her sister. "She could be lost, cold, hungry, itchy, stuffed up, needing to use the bathroom!"
"Don't worry Applejack, she's alright." Sweetie Belle said. "We know where she is."
"Yeah, she's making you pie delivery." Scootaloo said.
"Did you just say making my pie delivery!?" Applejack asked, now more worried than ever. "No, didn't she hear how difficult and dangerous it is!? I may never see her again!"
Applejack was in full panic mode, which seemed to really freak the fillies out as they felt like they had just messed up big time. Meanwhile in traverse town, things weren't going so well as Spyro got slammed into the side of a building, falling to the ground while Raven and Qrow took care of the Grimm they were fighting before turning to face the Nuckelavee, but it then kicked them both and sent them both flying towards another building, which the Grimm then turned it's attention back to Spyro as he tried to get back up, still feeling weak after using so much power in one spell, even with the Chaos Emeralds power, it was not enough power to restore him to full strength. As he got back up, the massive Grimm slammed it's hand down on top of him before picking him back up, lifting him up as he fought to free himself, but the grimm was squeezing him, even his armor was starting to bend under the pressure, which Spyro thought to be impossible as it was combined with Vibranium.
"Gotta... break... free!" Spyro said, trying to push back, but the Grimm continued to squeeze, making him yell in pain.
"Hey ugly, down here!" Leon shouted.
The Grimm looked down at Leon, which he got hit by a blast from his weapon, Leon running at him before running up the leg to cut his friend free, but the massive Grimm used it's free hand to smack him away, making him fall to the ground and leave a massive crater. It then looked back to Spyro as it continued to squeeze him, making him yell in pain as his vision started to go dark, closing his eyes as he suddenly passed out. As he was out, he saw a glimmer of light, the light growing to reveal Faust was standing right in front of him, the darkness turning into a plain of forest and grasslands, the skies multi colored as the stars twinkled in the sky as he was sitting on the ground, his head in his hands as he looked down.
"I shouldn't have used that much power." Spyro said. "And without my friends, any of them, my fusion drive is useless."
"You don't need your friends to be powerful." Faust said, walking over to him. "They're always with you as you are always with them." A moment later, a bright white light appeared, taking him by surprise as a yellow gem appeared, floating over to him as Hope, Courage and Integrity appeared, the yellow gem stone turning into a Sunflower, looking up at her as she disappeared. "You bring so much Joy into your friends lives, now use that Joy to return home."
She then disappeared, leaving him alone as he closed his eyes and then opened them again, still feeling the squeeze from the Grimm, but a moment later, he felt a sudden surge of power went though him, pushing against the grip until he released a surge of power, making it release him as he fell, but instead of trying to use his wings, he allowed himself to fall, but a moment later, four lights, Red, Blue, Purple, and Yellow flew from the sky, turning into a unicorn, an Earth pony, and a couple of Pegasi, all four neighing, announcing their arrival before turning into four colored rings, all four flying down in the path Spyro was falling. He then started to enter the rings as the song used in Yusei Fudo's synchro summoning as sounded, but felt a surge of power enter him, his entire being turning into light before a pillar of rainbow light shot to the sky, making the Grimm cover it's eyes to avoid being blinded when a silhouette of Spyro appeared, wearing golden armor again with a pair of rainbow wings, Hope on his head while Integrity and Courage on his sholders while Joy was on his chest, raising his hand as a new Keyblade appeared, which was a version of the Harmony blade, except the blade was four seperate blades, spinning around to make it into a four blades star like blade, each blade the color of the element with the symbol as the teeth of the blade, all connected at the handle.
"Guess it's time to end this." Spyro said, his eyes all four colors as he held the blade.
The Grimm screeched out and swung it's fist to hit him, but Spyro turned into air, moving along the arm before rematerializing and running along it, the blade beginning to spin on it's own as he put the spinning blades on the arm, leaving behind gash marks that made the Grimm screech before it tried to use it's other hand to smash him, but he leapt off and used his wings to fly, missing him as he threw the blade, encasing it in Chaos energy as it spun and went through the chest, making it explode through the back and making it yell in absolute pain, the Imp part collapsing while the horse screeched in rage, wanting to go after him, but Spyro flew high in the sky as he raised the blade as it spun, the four lights flying into the sky as they turned into Ponies again, all neighing as they charged the Grimm. is leapt up to attack, but each of the ponies charged through the horse and surrounded it in an aura before it levitated into the air, trying to kick it's way out, but Spyro just folded his wings in and dove to the horse grimm, spinning around as the chaos energy surrounded him, shooting like a bullet as the horse opened it's mouth, but he then hit the creature in the chest, passing through and doing some damage.
However, as he passed through, he heard Applejack yelling about Apple Bloom before seeing a vision of her pulling a cart full of pies, seeing her getting attacked and screaming as a massive beast lunged for her, making him come back to reality as he landed on the ground, the Grimm screeching one last time before it exploded, allowing for him to stand up as the armor disappeared, feeling like collapsing as he caught himself, knowing he couldn't rest after what he saw.
"Ok, that's definitely new." Leon said, walking to him. "When did you learn to do that?"
"I wish I had time to explain, but I need to return home." Spyro said. "Did Cid send you to deliver the transducers?"
"He did." Leon replied. "I put it in the Hanger bay before I came and helped them."
"And by the way, nice light show." Qrow said. "Do you do birthday parties?"
"Not the time for jokes!" Spyro said. "Apple Bloom needs my help!"
"Who?" Leon asked.
"Nevermind." Spyro said, looking to Raven and Qrow. "You both are more than welcome to come along and see your neices again, or you can stay here, your choice."
Raven and qrow looked at one another before looking to Spyro as he started running for the First District, running after him as he burst through the door towards the exit, getting through the exit and into the hanger where hsi ship was and where Cid was waiting for him, waving to him.
"Hey bud!" Cid said. "I got what you need."
"Great, thanks!" Spyro said. "The Gummi Blocks are in the First District, near the hanger. I have to go now!"
"But what about your Munni?" Cid asked, which Spyro picked the crate up and ran in with Qrow and Raven right behind him.
"No time, need to go!" Spyro said, running in.
He then rushed to the console, not carring about strapping down the crate as he got onto the console of his ship, igniting the engines right as Raven came in, seeing they were heading into sapce as they left Traverse town.
"So, how long will it take us to get to this world you call home?" Raven asked.
"Only a few seconds." Spyro said, putting on the Sling Ring. "Can't believe I didn't think of this sooner."
He then raised his hand and spun his hand with the ring on around, opening a portal to open straight to Equestria as the ship went through at full speed. At the Apple Family Farm, the two fillies were sitting in the kitchen waiting for Applejack to come back, which the farm mare was walking in, not looking happy as she approached.
"Alright you two, Rarity is on her way to look after you two." Applejack said, seeing how sad they were and was no longer mad at them, calming down as she sat down. "Now, please tell me that Apple Bloom at least took some Fire-proof boots with her? A lion tamer's chair?" Both of the fillies didn't know how to answer that, which only made Applejack more vervous. "A snake charming flute or even a Hunker Ricotta!?"
"Uh... no?" Scootaloo replied.
"Oh no, no, no, no, no!" Applejack said, chewing her hoof nail before calming down. "Ok, ok calm down Applejack, there's still time to reach her before she reaches... it." The fillies were confused, wondering what she was talking before she looked to them. "Tell me, how long ago did she leave?"
"I don't know." Sweetie Belle replied. "It must have been hours ago."
"Oh no!" Applejack said, now in complete panic mode. A moment later, they heard what sounded like engines and looked outside, seeing that it was the Gozanti cruiser, coming down into the garage, everyone relieved to see he was back and ran outside to get to his garage. A moment later, the ship landed and the loading bay ramp lowered, Spyro hopping down right as Applejack and the fillies came to them. "Spyro, we've got a major problem!"
"I know." Spyro said, hugging Applejack as she arrived. "Apple Blooms in danger. How long ago did she leave?"
"Ah don't know." Applejack replied. "A few hours, maybe."
"Then her scent will be stale." Spyro replied. "What's the route you would have taken to get to your destination?"
"Ah know where she'll go." Applejack replied. "And Ah know where she'll be. It's the same place my parents were..."
She suddenly choked, unable to get the words out, which Spyro knew what she meant and hugged her again.
"Don't worry AJ, I'll get her back." Spyro said. "Just tell me where to go."
"No, Ah'm comin' with ya!" Applejack said. "Just let me get some things first!"
"Then you're just leaving us here alone?" Qrow asked
They both looked to see Qrow and Raven, which Raven was a scarlet red unicorn mare with a black mane and wearing a black and red kimono with a plated skirt while her sword was on her side while Qrow was a grey pegasi with a black main and while wearing a messed up dress shirt, both somehow standing stable whie standing.
"Uh, who are they?" Applejack asked.
"I'll explain later." Spyro replied, turning to Qrow and Raven. "We'll be back later. Ruby and Yang will return shortly and they'll show yuou around town. Right now we need to find Apple Bloom."
"Right, Ah'll get everythin' Ah need." Applejack said.
She then ran out of the garage and towards the barn to get what she needs to get while Spyro stood there, fearing for Apple Blooms safety. Meanwhile with the run away filly was walking through a very eerie swampy forest, filled with fog and creepy looking trees, which made the fillies skin crawl, but she trudged through, looking at the map to find her way there, but the fog made it difficult to see it.
"Ugh, dumb fog." Apple Bloom said. "Ah can't see a thing. Ah knew as shoulda brought a light." A moment later, fire shout out and burned the map, spooking her as she looked around and saw the flames coming from the swamp. "Me and my big mouth. At least Ah can see now."
[Jinx 13]
A moment later, she could see something coming her way through the flames, which it was a beast with the head and body of a tiger, the head of a goat, and the tail being a snake, except the goat head had a horn missing while the tiger had a greyed out eye with a scare and the snake tail had a massive scare across it's body, all three smiling at the filly, which freaked her out as she tried to run away, but the flames started cutting off her escape, a wall of fire keeping her from running and she turned around, facing the beast as it smiled.
"I'd stay where you are." The tiger said. "After all, it is the only safe spot in this swamp. At least for the current moment."
"Y-ya don't seem so safe to me." Apple Bloom said.
"Oh, we mean from the fire." The tiger said.
"Yeah, not from us." The goat head said.
"What was that?" The snake head asked. "Speak louder! My hearing isn't that good since that guy who swung the golden light sword!"
"Golden light sword?" Apple Bloom asked. "Ya mean a lightsaber?
"Enough about your lack of hearing!" The tiger said. "I can't see out of one of my eyes thanks tyo him! But enough about that, we haven't eaten in days."
"My sisters and I can never agree on what to eat." The goat said.
"Except for one thing, pies." The snake said.
Apple Bloom looked to the wagon, looking back to the beast before giving a nervous smile.
"Well, unfortunately these Pies are headin' for the town that's on the other side of this swamp." Apple Bloom said.
"Oh, you won't need to worry about that any more." The tiger said.
"Yeah, not any more." The goat said.
"Because we'll have our apple pie, with a side of filly." The snake said.
Apple Bloom began to back away, feeling her heart racing as she walked backwards as the monster approached, looking at the filly hungrily.
"Now sisters, on three." The tiger said, Apple Bloom backing into a tree. "One."
Apple Bloom felt her heart race, sweat pouring down her brow as she looked at the monster in terror.
"Two." The goat head said.
Apple Bloom got ready to run, but her body wasn't responding as she starred at the massive beast.
"Three!" The snake shouted.
"Peekaboo!" Spyro shouted.
A moment later, Spyro came down and slammed his hoof into the tigers head, knocking it into the ground before slamming his hoof in the earth, sending the beast flying backwards as the Tiger head saw stars.
"Spyro!" Apple Bloom shouted excitedly. "Yer back!"
"And just in time too." Spyro said.
"Apple Bloom!" Applejack shouted, jumping through the flames wearing Fire Proof boots.
"Applejack, yer here too?" Apple Bloom asked.
"Wasn't my idea to bring her along." Spyro said.
"Ah, the orange one." The tiger said, the beast coming closer to them. "You're back again. And you look a little fatter than the last time we saw you. Much more, meaty."
"That's because she's pregnant." Spyro replied, getting inbetween the beast and Applejack. "And you're not touching either Applejack or Apple Bloom as long as I'm here."
"Pregnant?" The snake asked, licking it's lips. "I always wondered what a pregnant pony tasted like."
"Alright, that's it!" Spyro said, reaching back and getting the Inquisitors saber and igniting it.
As soon as the monster saw the golden blade, they froze, seeing the blade humming with power as they looked to the hilt, recognizing it before they started growling and hissing.
"You!" The goat said. "So it's you!"
"Um, who?" Spyro asked.
"The one who carries a golden light sword!" The snake said.
"Wait, my lightsaber?" Spyro asked, looking at the beast.
"We know your weapon all too well pony!" The Goat said. "It's the one that cut my horn off!"
"You took my eye!" The tiger shouted.
"And your lightning damaged my hearing!" The snake shouted. "Oh, we have longed for the day we'd have our revenge!"
"Ok, I think you're mistaking me for someone else." Spyro said. "We've never met."
"There is no mistaking your weapon!" The tiger shouted. "It's the exact same one that ruined our lives! Now you're going to pay! Starting with your little marefriend and your baby!"
"NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!" Spyro shouted.
He then charged towards the monster as it charged him, both ready to tear one another apart as Spyro leapt over it and threw the blade, just grazing the shoulder and making it roar in rage. The snake then struck to hit him, but before it could, Applejack started to play the flute, charming the snake to sleep, which got the tigers attention as it roared and went after her, so Spyro went to save her, but Applejack took the chair out and stuffed it into the tigers mouth, giving her a chance to escape as the tiger broke the chair, growling only for Spyro to sucker punch the monster, this time it was the goat head that took the hit, making it see stars as the world paused and he looked to the reader.
"What?" Spyro asked. "I threw the tiger head for a loop, only seems fair I do the same to the goat head. And the snake? Eh, I'll give it a pass. Applejack charmed that thing to sleep. Oh, and author, this thing is a Chimera."
But don't chimera's usually have a lions head and body, not a tiger?
Spyro opened his mouth to reply, pausing for a moment before looking at the chimera, thinking about it before looking back to the readers and author.
"Ok good point." Spyro said. "Someone definitely didn't brush up on their Greek Mythology."
The world resumed as the goat head shook it's head, looking at Spyro, but Applejack whistled, getting their attention, which only infuriated them as the mismatched Chimera charged, ready to tear her apart, but the snake tail got stuck on a dead branch, but it didn't deter the the beast as it charged, but Applejack moved out of the way, the monster slamming into the tree, but the teeth of the tiger got caught in the tree, causing it to be stuck, but Spyro put on a hard hat and used a hammer, hammering the teeth down and bending them to make it near impossible for the Chimera to move while Spyro just laughed like Woody Woodpecker. He moved out of the way while keeping his saber activated, the goat head growling, but Applejack threw something into it's mouth, which it ate it with glee while Spyro looked at her in confusion.
"Was that Ricotta?" Spyro asked.
"Sure was!" The goat said, chewing the food. "So good."
"Come on, let's get out of here!" Applejack said. She then scooped up the filly, somehow getting her out of the cart while Spyro picked the cart up, following the farm mare to a safe location where Applejack set Apple Bloom down and Spyro set the cart down, both looking at Apple Bloom with worry. "You ok?"
"Ah am." Apple Bloom replied. "Thanks to you two."
"That's good to here." Spyro said, stroking her head.
"Ah told ya you needed yer big sister watchin' out for ya!" Applejack exclaimed, looking mad.
"Oh boy, now I know why you went and did this." Spyro said.
"Ah'm just glad it wasn't worse." Applejack said, which made the filly furious. "At least we still have the cart. But Ah'm surprised you got it through here through the dark, all alone, through the flaming geysers and past that monster!? Ok, technically Spyro got it past the monster, but-"
"AJ, stop." Spyro said, Applejack looking at him. "Apple Bloom managed to do this all on her own and without any adult supervision."
"But-" Applejack said, but Spyro put his hoof to her mouth, silencing her.
"I know she's your little sister, but she's growing up." Spyro said, removing his hoof. "You can't keep babying her forever. Sooner or later, she'll become her own mare and make her own decision. Sooner or later, she'll leave the nest. You can't protect her forever. Even with your immortality and mine."
"Wait, what?" Apple Bloom asked, clearly confused.
"Yer right Spyro." Applejack said, looking to Apple Bloom. "Ah can't always be there for her. Sometimes it's best to let her explore and find her own way. As you said, she's becoming a fully grown mare and Ah can't keep protecting her. Besides, she managed to get the cart here and kept it safe. It's mighty impressive. Guess she doesn't need me babying her after all."
"Ya mean it?" Apple Bloom asked.
"Ah do." Applejack said, hugging her. :But this don't mean tryin' to make this delivery was a plum crazy thing to do!"
"Ah know." Apple Bloom replied.
"Oh, Granny is so gonna ground you for a month for this!" Applejack said. "And if Granny Smith, Big Mac and Ah every have to leave ya alone..." Apple Bloom got ready for her to continue to chew her out, but she just smiled, hugging her and surprising the filly. "Ah'll trust ya to remain home and handle things while yer on yer own with Scootaloo."
Apple Bloom then hugged Applejack, Spyro smiling as he got his ring back out to open a portal, both walking through as they allowed Applejack to finish the delivery. However, in Traverse Town, Salem was standing on the roof top of one of the buildings in the First district, waiting for someone to arrive as a corridor opened and from it, Maleficent walked through with Pete right behind her, seeing Salem standing there as she turned around and smiled, which Pete felt a shiver go down his spine as he backed up.
"Ok, I know I say this way too often, but this chick gives me the creeps." Pete said.
"Quiet you buffoon!" Maleficent said, making him shut up while she turned to Salem. "So, I take it you're the one who summoned me?"
"I am." Salem replied. "You and I have something in common."
"And what would that be?" Maleficent asked.
"A deep hatred for the Prince of Light and Darkness." Salem replied, getting maleficent's interests. "The previous prince and I fought many years ago and he nearly destroyed me, but I survived. And this new prince, he's powerful. Very, very powerful. I saw one of his spells and it wiped out many of these creatures he calls Heartless and he seems to be able to call upon power I've never seen before."
"He gains this power from his friends." Maleficent replied. "They make him near invincible, granting him power beyond light or darkness."
"And at the rate he's going, he'll soon surpass his third stage." Salem said. "If we combine our power and find others who share our hatred, not even he can defeat us. So, what do you say?"
Maleficent thought about it for a moment, stroking the orb on her staff as she thought it over as she smiled, Pete not liking it as he looked between Salem and Maleficent, the dark fey looking up to her as she smiled.
"And I say, I'm all ears." Maleficent replied.
That night in Equestria, Spyro and Applejack were turning in for the night, glad that Apple Bloom was safe and sound, even though she was in big trouble, but they were glad that they were more trusted to be alone.
"How did you manage to avoid getting grounded?" Scootaloo asked as they were looking at all the movies Spyro had.
"Eh, Granny Smith was actually impressed with how Ah managed to get the cart through the swamp without damagin' it." Apple Bloom replied. "Now where's that movie you said we could watch?"
"Right here." Scootaloo said, pointing to his copy of Coraline.
"Uh, why does it have a ten on it?" Apple Bloom asked.
"Probably means how awesome the movie is!" Scootaloo replied, picking it out of the shelf. "We should get it ready for Nightmare Night! It's only a couple of weeks away!"
"Heck yeah!" Apple Bloom said. "What are we waitin' for!? Let's get this puppy ready! Ah'm sure Spyro won't mind us stayin' up late to watch some of his movies. Nightmare night is on a weekend after all."
"Heck yeah he won't mind!" Scootaloo replied. "Let's go find some more movies we can watch!"
The two fillies ran away from the shelf, wanting to find some more movies, but as they left, they failed to notice that the number ten had a black star, running away and not even noticing a dark aura was around the movie case with the eyes of the Beldam on the back of the cover glowing a crimson red.
