Chapter 164: Ponies in Wonderland Part 1: Welcome to Wonderland
The group walked down the hall, following Spyro into the room he was given when he arrived, walking over to the container he had with him as he pulled out a disk with a come on it, pressing a few commands into it while everyone was watching him, wondering whgat it was he was doing as he inputed the command.
"Uh hun, what are ya doing?" Applejack asked.
"I'm activating my proto-type Holo-room projector." Spyro replied, confusing them. "It basically creates a meeting room where it creates a special room where we can talk with one another and with other people who have one just like it."
"And we'll be able to talk to Riku and Maya with it?" Twilight asked, fascinated by the device.
"Exactly." Spyro replied. "But as I said, it's a Proto-type, so chances are, it'll either work and we can talk with Riku and Maya and the other Keyblade warriors, or it'll blow up and make a mess of this room."
Eveyrone backed away, afraid that it would blow up as Spyro finished inputting the codes and tossed it into the middle fo the room, a ring of blue dots appearing around the base of the some as it lite up, the room changing as the ceiling split into five seperate ceilings, traveling down the walls and across the floor until it looked like a combination of the crystal bedroom, two Gummi ship cockpits, Master Yen Sids study and a world were fungus, massive flowers and open sky. A moment later, Master Yen Sid appeared, followed by Sora, Donald, and Goofy, sitting in their chairs while settng the autopilot, Axel leaning back and enjoying a drink and finally, Maya and Riku appearing, standing side by side as everyone looked around, seeing one another together, though in completely seperate areas.
"Wow, I can't believe this stupid things actually works." Riku said. "I was worried it was going to blow up like most of Spyro's inventions do."
"Hardy har, har." Spyro said sarcastically. "They don't blow up all the time."
"Tell that to my rear after you upgraded my heated pillow." Riku said. "It litterally gave me the hot seat."
"Spyro, I am pleased to see you and your friends are all here." Master Yen Sid said. "We have a pressing concern." A moment later, the dome shined a bit and it showed the new Wonderland, dark mist surrounding it. "There is a dark and dangerous presence rising in Wonderland. Riku and Maya discovered something that brought cause for concern."
"Three somethings actually." Riku said as the world disappeared and three images showed up, revealing Vexen, Aphara, and Crimson Spark. "While exploring, we spotted Vexen skulking around here in this version of Wonderland."
"He was heading someplace special." Maya added. "Some place called... Salazen Grum I think."
"It's a palace to one of two queens who rule this world." Riku said. "The Red Queen, a.k.a. The Queen of Hearts."
"Hmm, that can't be good." Spyro said.
"It gets worse." Maya said, the imagoe of Crimson Spark popping up, showing an army of Heartless behind him. "This guy has an army of Heartless behind him, indicating he probably looking for the Keyhole."
"If he finds it, it will destroy this world Spyro." Master Yen Sid said. "And if it's destroyed, the shockwave will his the other Wonderland, pulling them both into the darkness."
"Then we need to keep that from happening." Spyro said, looking to Aphara. "I know her. That's Aphara. She's a dragon from this world who now serves Malefor. If she's there, Malefor wants something from it."
"Geez, three darknesses in one world?" Axel asked, sipping his drink. "No wonder that worlds covered in darkness."
"Spyro, I need you to take a few of your friends to Wonderland and stop them from acquiring whatever it is they want and stopping the destruction of this world." Master Yen Sid said. "It's imperative nothing happens to those worlds."
"You can bount on us sir." Spyro said. "Who should I bring?"
"I would recommend bringing your swiftest and your strongest." Master yen Sid said. "That being your friends Rainbow Dash and Applejack. They'll be beneficial for your mission. The last one is up to you." Spyro then froze, looking at the orange earthpony as they both looked nervous, the wizard picking up on this as he raised an eyebrow. "Is there something you're not telling me Spyro?"
"Sir, with all due resapect, I think we should leave Applejack out of this one." Spyro said, everyone looking at him. "Under certain... circumstances."
"Circumstances?" Axel asked. "Like what?"
Spyro looked at Applejack, wondering if it was a good idea to tell everyone, but the earthpony walked up to him, nodding as she stood side by side with him as he wrapped his wing around her, getting everyone's attention.
"You see... Applejack... Applejack's pregnant." Spyro replied.
And the moment he said it, Axel spat so hard his drink shot out of his glass, hititng him in the face as he was coughing violently while Donald screamed so hard that Sora fell out of his chair, equally as surprised while Maya and Riku looked at him in shock and awe, Master Yen Sid stroking his beard while Axel was coughing.
"Are you serious!?" Sora asked. "You're having a baby!?"
"Spyro, that's amazing news!" Maya said. "Congratulations!"
"Dude, you and the orange pony are going to have a kid?" Axel asked, finally getting out of his coughing fit. "Did you forget to use protection?
"AXEL!" Everyone shouted, making him flinch.
"Hmm, this is an interesting development." Master Yen Sid said.
"Look, I know it's against the rules, but..." Spyro said, which the wizard held his hand up, stopping him.
"Spyro, I am truly happy for you." Yen Sid said. "You and your friends were always close, and I see no reason for this union not to happen."
"Dude, Kairi is going to loose her mind when she hears the news." Sora said, getting back into his seat.
"You said it!" Donald said. "She will want to be the first to hug the baby pony when it's born!"
"Ayuegh, congratulations Spyro!" Goofy said. "You must be so happy!"
"I am." Spyro replied.
"Well, I'm happy for you and all, but can we please get back to the point at hand?" Riku asked.
"Don't spoil the mood Riku." Maya said, jabbing him in the side.
"Hey, I'm happy for him and all, but the longer we stand here, the more time these three guys have to find whatever it is they're looking for."
"Unfortunately, he right." Yen Sid said. "Spyro, you must make haste to Wonderland and stop them."
"At once master." Spyro said.
"Good." Yen Sid said. "And there is one other thing we need you to see." A moment later, the images disappeared and another took their place, showing another world with a big top and digital data swirling all around it, getting Spyro's attention. "Sora was digging around in the digital world and discovered this."
"Another world?" Spyro asked.
"Just like Tron's world." Sora said. "Only, it's a circus. And from what tron told me, it's different."
"Different?" Spyro asked. "How?"
"We don't know as of yet." Yen Sid replied. "But there is a darkness in this world, festering, wanting to get out."
"Get out?" Spyro asked. "What do you mean?"
"There is a darkness coming from this world Spyro." Yen Sid said. "A darkness that is sad, yet frustrated and angry. One that's looking for a way out."
"Yet everytime we try to enter this world, it's blocks us out." Sora added. "There's some kind of barrier there that we can't get through. Even Tron tried, but it's too strong."
Spyro looked at the world in front of him, wondering what kind of power could be enough to prevent them from going to it as he looked to his master.
"You think this world is keeping us out and the darkness in?" Spyro asked. "Like a prison?"
"Exactly." Yen Sid replied. "However, should it continue to fester, it'll grow out of control and attract the Heartless."
"So you want me to find a way into this world and destroy this darkness?" Spyro asked.
"If you can, I would ask you to do this." Yen Sid replied.
"But if Tron found it, then it's in The Grid." Spyro said. "That means it's in Radiant Garden. Sora, think you can link the terminal there with my terminal here in Equestria?"
"Spyro, my tech skills are non-existent." Sora said. "I mean, I can work a computer, but what you do? You're on a whole other level."
"I can do it." Maya said. "I can help link the two together so you have direct access to the Grid. This way, if Sora needs you, you can hop in and help."
"Good." Spyro said. "Whatever this thing is, we need to get to it before it get's worse."
"One problem at a time your highness." Yen Sid said. "One problem at a time. Maya, go to Radiant Garden and see what you can do with the terminal. Spyro, meet with Riku and stop the the organizatgion and these two Equestrians before they succed in whatever they're up to."
"Will do sir." Spyro said.
The transmission ended for Yen Sid, turning the five rooms to four, making it bigger for everyone.
"Unfortunately, you're going to need to find another way into this world Spyro." Maya said. "There's some kind of storm keeping everything out that doesn't have a shield. We barely got here without blowing up."
"Hmm, an Ion Storm Shield." Spyro said. "A spell that only a Prince of Light and Darkness could have done."
"Does that mean you can dispell it?" Twilight asked.
"No, I can't." Spyro replied. "Only the original caster can dispell it or whatever it's guarding is lost or destroyed. And believe me, those storms are no joke. If you get close enough, it can rip a Capital Ship to shreds."
"Geez, then these two did get lucky." Axel said. "How are you going to get to this second Wonderland?"
"I'll think of something." Spyro said. "Riku, meet you there."
A moment later, the transmission ended and the room went back to normal, Spyro walking over and using his magic to pick the disk up and put it away.
"So how are we going to get there?" Rainbow Dash asked. "If that storm is as powerful as you say, your ship is going to get pulverized."
"I don't know." Spyro said, turning to them. "Let me think." Spyro rubbed his hoof against his head, wondering how he was going to get through the shield as many ideas rushed into his head, but then calculating the odds of them working and realizing they wouldn't work when he saw a guard walk by, carrying a cup of steaming liquid, the scent reaching him and Applejack as the pregnant earthpony suddenly gagged, not standing the scent when an idea struck him. "I got an idea. A really, really bad idea."
He walked out of the room, everyone looking out as he walked down the corridors, wondering what it was he was thinking.
"Where are you going?" Rarity asked.
"To get some coffee." Spyro replied, leaving everyone speechless.
"Seriously!?" Rainbow Dash asked, completely lost. "We're trying to come up with a way to get to Wonderland and he want;s to have a coffe break!?"
They all shrugged their shoulders, not fully understanding what was going on in Spyro's mind at the moment and decided to wait for him to return, waiting a couple of minutes when he returned, carrying a large cup of coffee with his magic.
"Alright, Pinkie, Twilight, you're coming along with me and RD." Spyro said.
"Wait, seriously?" Rainbow Dash asked. "The egghead I can kinda understand, but Pinkie?"
"Trust me, it a random world, we're going to need a pony fluent in randomness." Spyro said, presenting the coffee to Pinkie. "Here Pinkie, you look thirsty."
"Oh, thank you!" Pinkie said, taking the cup. "I was feelign kinda parched!"
She then started to gulp down the drink, everyone watching her as Spyro started to back away, everyone looking at him and wondering what was going on.
"You girls may want to stand back." Spyro said, continuing to back away. "Things are about to get Pinkiefied."
Pinkie finished the cup of coffee up, smacking and licking her lips as she finished it up, surprising Spyro as what he expected to happen didn't happen.
"Mmm, that was delicious!" Pinkie said. "Hey Spyro, can I get some-" She then stopped as her face contorted into funny faces, going through several of them before she did a backflip, spinning so fast it would make Sonic proud as she went into random silly posses, her eyes buldged out, her irises shrunk to pinneedle size, and her mane got crazier. "COFFEE! YEAH BABY!" She then jumped into the air, spinning around before she started to bounce around the room, going completely crazy as she went on. "COFFEECOFFEECOFFECOFFECOFFE! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
A moment later, she hit a wall and it completely shattered, revealing a rift as everyone looked at the shattered wall, completely stunned by what they had just seen.
"Holy smack!" Spyro said. "And the bad thing was, that was Decaf."
"What... just... happened?" Twilight asked.
"There's a reason we don't give Pinkie Pie coffee Sugarcube." Applejack answered.
"Dude, why did you give her coffee!?" Rainbow Dash asked. "That is like one of the craziest things you could have ever done!"
"Unfortunately, it's the only way past the barrier." Spyro replied. "I figured if Pinkie had some coffee, she'd be able to bust through the barrier between worlds and allow us a direct route to Wonderland. Speaking of, we better get going before the barrier closes."
"But how will we get back?" Twilight asked.
"Let me worry about that." Spyro replied, putting a large thermos in his bag, already knowing what it was. "Come on, let's go."
Spyro rushed forward and jumped into the rift, leaving Rainbow Dash and Twilight there, but they soon followed him after waiting for a few moments, everyone falling through the rift, Spyro and Twilight already use to it while Rainbow Dash was spinning, twisting and turning in the rift, trying to get control, but failing to do so. After a while, they soon reached their destination, Pinkie busting through the roof of a roof and bouncing around flr a moment, screaming for fun as she came to a halt, finally calming down from the coffee right as Spyro fell through, landing on his feet while Twilight and Rainbow Dash tumbled out, the rainbow maned pegasi landing n top of Twilight with her eyes spinning around, feeling dizzy.
"Wee, that was fun!" Pinkie said. "Let's do it again!"
"Maybe later." Spyro replied. He looked around and saw they were in a circular room with many doors and a table in the middle. On the table, Spyro spotted a bottle, walking up to it and seeing the tag that said 'Drink me'. He picked the bottle up and saw it was half empty, uncorking it and taking a whiff before gagging, coughing a bit from the smell as he placed it back on the table. "Oh yeah. That's Pishsalver."
"Pishsalver?" Twilight asked.
"Shrinking potion." Spyro replied. "Found and made in Underland."
"Underland?" Rainbow Dash asked. "What is Underland?"
"Underland is where we are Rainbow Dash." Spyro replied. "You see, this world has two names, Underland and Wonderland. We call it Wonderland because Alice once called it that."
"Alice?" Pinkie asked. "Whose Alice? She another friend we're going to meet!?"
"Well, this worlds version of Alice we'll meet." Spyro replied. "The one we know is in the other version of Wonderland."
"Ugh, this is hurting my brain!" Rainbow Dash said. "Can we get going already?"
"Rainbow's right." Twilight said. "We're wasting time. Which door do we take?"
Spyro looked down, looking down at the ground to show a small door, everyone seeing it and then looked at Spyro.
"You've got to be kidding me?" Rainbow Dash asked. "We're supposed to go through that!? How are we going to get past it!?"
"Only one way to get through." Spyro replied, picking up the potion. "We drink this."
"Seriously?" Twilight asked, unsure of the idea. "How do yu know it'll work?"
"Trust me, Sora and I drank this in the first Wonderland, it'll work." Spyro replied.
Without waiting, Spyro uncorked the bottle and took a swig, drinking a small amount before coughing, not remembering the potion tasting that bad before he started to feel it's affects, feeling his body change as he began to shrink, getting smaller and smaller, but his clothing didn't shrink, getting so small that he was about the same size as the door, the ponies looking at his pile of clothes and worrying what happened to him.
"Spyro?" Twilight asked. "You ok?"
"Yeah, I'm fine." Spyro said, his clothes glowing and shrinking a second later util they fit him again. "Don't remember that happening in the last Wonderland. But thankfully this version of Pishsalver worked."
"Why wouldn't it?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"Sora had the bright idea of making our own once." Spyro replied. "It did not end well. I drank it and was shrinking until I was a dwarf."
"You serious?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"Dead serious." Spyro replied, the world pausing as he looked to the reader. "But hey, made the best of it. Actually broke Riku once while in that state until Sora got some of that Upelkucken cake to get me back to normal. You want to know what I did, watch Rob Williams fun sized part one and you'll get the idea of what I did to break him. And you better be ready. In this world, there's a good chance we're going to be breaking the Fourth wall more often than in previous chapters. Thank goodness Discord ain't here. Or is he?"
Spyro reached up and pulled down on the screen, split screening the device and showing Discord was hiding there, looking annoyed as he tapped his fingers on the edge of the screen.
"And you complain about me breaking the Fourth wall?" Discord asked.
"Discord, you know the rules, you aren't part of this section of the story." Spyro said. "Get back to Canterlot."
"Fine, be that way." Discord replied. "Oh, and did you read the scrap of paper I gave you?"
"Knowing you, it'll hit me with a face full of water or something and you'd get a laugh out of it." Spyro said, confusing Discord. "Trust me, I live in a town with two pranksters, I know what to expect."
"Ok, fair enough." Discord said. "But I give you my word, I did not booby trap the page. Trust me, you'll be glad to see what's written on it."
Discord then snapped his fingers and disappeared, Spyro letting go of the screen and looking back at the reader, not looking convinced.
"Yeah, still not convinced Discord is on the level." Spyro said. "Even if he didn't booby trap it, I'm still not trusting a word he says."
A second later, the world resumed and Spyro turned to the ponies, Twilight using her magic to lift the potion and smell it, cringing a bit from the smell, but she drank it, coughing a bit before placing it back on the table, feeling it's affects immediately as she began to shrink, followed by Rainbow Dash and then Pinkie, all three ponies shrinking until they stopped, looking around and seeing how big everything was, Twilight amazed by the outcome while Pinkie was just bouncing around, having fun while Rainbow Dash was trying to process everything.
"Trust me Rainbow, the more you try to understand, the more it'll hurt your brain." Spyro replied. "Now come on, Riku's waitng for us."
They walked towards the door and opened it, walking in to see a colorful, yet grayed out world with massive mushrooms and flowers, the sky covered in grey clouds while a rocking horse fly and a dragon fly flew by, making the alicorn look around in amazement, wanting to write down everything the was seeing while Pinkie bounced around, Rainbow Dash still trying to make sense of it all until Spyro stopped, everyone running into him and looking at what he was seeing when they saw a girl in a makeshift dress, trying to keep it up as she looked around, wondering where she was as she looked.
"Whose that?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"I don't know." Spyro said. "But we don't have time to make friends. We need to-"
"Excuse me?" The girl asked, running up. "Sorry to disturb you, I wanted to ask you something."
"Well, ask away!" Pinkie said, surprising the girl.
"Did... that pony just talk?" The girl asked.
"Ley me save you the headache." Spyro replied. "They all talk, they're my friends. This is Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, and Twilight Sparkle. I'm Spyro."
"Well, it's good to meet you all." The girl responded. "I'm Alice."
"Alice?" Spyro asked, recognizing the name, but not the girl.
"Yes, that's my name." Alice replied. "Who else would I be?"
"I told you she's the right Alice." A voice said.
They all looked to the direction the voice came from and saw a white rabbit wearing a blue dress coat, a couple of chubby guys wearing striped clothing and brown overalls, a large blue dodo bird with a monocle, and a small door mouse with a pink dress on and a needle as her weapon.
"She doesn't look like herself." One of the flowers said, spooking everyone.
"That's because she's the wrong Alice!" The mouse said. "You brought the wrong one McTwisp!"
"Well, f she is, she might be." One of the boys said.
"If she isn't, then she aint." The other one said.
"But if she is so, then she would be." The first boy said.
"But she isn't, no how." The second boy said.
"Oh great, Tweedle twins." Spyro said. "These guys give me a headache everytime I hear them. And it's going to be a headache for the author to replay certain scenes of the movie just to get what they say right."
"Movie?" Alice asked.
"Forget it!" Spyro replied, deflecting the question.
"But... this doesn't make any sense." Alice said. "How can I be the wrong Alice if this is my dream?"
Spyro and the ponies all looked at the girls, confused about why she would think this was a dream when Spyro motioned for the ponies to follow him, kneeling down so they could talk in private.
"Ok, why would she think this was a dream?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"Well, in the original Wonderland, Alice fell down a rabbit hole and wound up here in this world, curious and mesmerized by it." Spyro replied. "Maybe the same thing happened here, but this time she isn't curious, just confused and frieghtened, thinking this is all just some bad dream."
"Well, it isn't exactly a dream." Twilight said. "We need to tell her that-"
"Spyro!" Riku shouted out. They all turned to see Riku come towards them, Spyro getting up and the two grabbing one anothers hands as if ready to arm wrestle. "Glad you could make it."
"Wouldn't miss it bud." Spyro said.
"You know this guy Riku?" The first tweedle twin asked.
"Of course he knows him, how else would he know his name?" The second twin asked.
"Then again, he probably doesn't know him and this it the first time they're meeting." The first twin said.
"Possible, yet not probable." The second replied.
"Ugh, Tweedlede, Tweedledum, I know him." Riku said. "This is Spyro and his friends. They're here to help."
"Well I hope so." McTwisp said. "We'll need all the help we can get."
"But what about her?" The mouse asked.
"We'll take her to Absolem." McTwisp said. "He'll know if she's the right Alice."
"Yes, let's take her to him!" Tweedledee said. "I'll escort her."
"No, I will!" Tweedledum said.
They both escorted Alice with Spyro and Riku followed close behind with the ponies following after them, going through the forest of mushrooms and Fungi, random animals running away while Pinkie was bouncing around, her neck twisting in all sorts fo directions looking at everything while Twilight and Rainbow Dash were both confused about what it was they were seeing, trying to make sense of what they were seeing as Riku and Spyro walked next to the group of animals and the twins.
"So, what do you think of this place so far Riku?" Spyro asked.
"Honestly, you and Sora would have been better off coming here." Riku replied. "This place makes absolutely no sense."
"Yeah, welcome to my world." Spyro said as he continued. "So, what have you discovered here?"
"Well, I found that there are two queens who rule this world." Riku replied. "A red queen and a white queen. The red one is cruel and wicked, beheading any who anger her."
"Sounds about right." Spyro replied. "And the white one?"
"She's kind and caring." Riku answered. "She is the true ruler of Wonderland, but her sister used something called a Jabberwocky to take the crown and rule. They're all afraid of her.'
"Hmm, I think I know what it is that Aphara and Vexen are after." Spyro said, looking to Riku. "They're probably after the Jabberwocky, which is the incarnation of evil in this world. One of the princes must have created the storm to keep those from coming in and getting it."
"If so, the we need to make sure it's either contained or destroyed." Riku said.
"So, who is this Absolem?" Alice asked, getting the key warriors attention.
"He's very wise." McTwisp replied. "He's absolute."
"He's Absolem!" The tweedle twins added.
"Not exactly an answer." Spyro said.
They continued to walk in the forest of mushrooms and fungi, Spyro sensing a powerful darkness in the air as they reached a place in the forest where it was covered in smoke, the smoke moving out of the way to reveal a blue caterpillar wearing glasses and using a Hookah. As they approached, Absolem looked to them, taking in a puff before exhaling.
"Who are you?" Absolem asked, sending some smoke their way, which Spyro just used the wind to blow it away from them.
"Absolem?" Alice asked.
"You're not Absolem, I'm Absolem." He replied, making Spyro and Riku face smack themselves. "The question is..." he paused for a moment, taking in another puff before exhaling it at Alice. "Who are you?"
"Alice." Alice replied, coughing.
"We shall see." Absolem said.
"What do you mean by that?" Alice asked, clearly annoyed. "I ought to know who I am."
"Yes, you should, stupid girl." Absolem said, looking over and seeing Spyro, recognizing him immediately. "Ah, the Prince of Light and Darkness."
"You know who I am?" Spyro asked.
"I know what you are, stupid boy." Absolem said.
"Watch it bub." Spyro said, warning him.
"I knew your predecessor." Absolem said. "The one who hid this world from the darkness that now plagues it. You're coming here is a good thing."
"How so?" Rikue asked, he and the ponies approaching.
"You'll know soon enough." Absolem replied, inhaling from the pipe before exhaling. "Unroll the Oraculum."
They looked to where he was pointing to and saw a scroll on a mushroom, everyone gathering around to see it as Mctwisp unrolled it, revealing images that were moving along with some names.
"The Oraculum is the compendium of all Underland." McTwisp said.
Everyone looked at it, Twilight looking at it closely as she saw days being listed, fascinated by what she was seeing.
"It's amazing." Twilight said. "It's like a calender."
"Compendium." Absolem said. "It tells of each and every day since the beginning."
"It's a magical item that keeps track of events in the past and in the future." Spyro added, looking at it. "Events that were and those that are yet to be."
"Today is griblig day." McTwisp said. "The time of the red queen. The day of your arrival Alice. And that of the Prince and his friends."
"Show them the Frabjous day." Absolem ordered.
"Frabjo-what now?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"Frabjous day." Tweedledee repeated. "It's the day that Alice slays the Jabberwocky."
They all looked at Tweedledee, the everyone who didn't understand what he meant completely confused by what the chubby kid just said.
"Wait, what?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Back up. Slay a what?"
"I'm to do what?" Alice asked.
"Oh yeah, that's you there." Tweedledum said, pointing at her attacking a dragon like creature with sharp teeth and claws ready to tear into her. "You wield the Vorpal sword and slay it. No other weapon can do it, no how."
"If it ain't Vorpal, it ain't dead." Tweedledee said.
"No, that's not me." Alice said, backing away.
"See?" The mouse asked. "Even she knows she isn't the right Alice."
"Yeah, I'm with Mallymkun on this." Riku said. "This girl doesn't look like the kind of girl who can fight."
"That goes douple for me." Rainbow Dash said. "I mean, I can take it down no problem!"
"Absolem, please, can you resolve this?" McTwisp asked. "Is she the right Alice?"
Absolem looked at Alice, the smoke gathering around him as he inhaled from his pipe, looking at them.
"Not hardly." Absolem replied.
The smoke enveloping him and allowing him to disappear while everyone looked to Alice, some yelling she was fake while they crowded around her while the Keyblade warriors remained behind, not getting involved as they gathered up.
"So, now that little distraction is out of the way, what's our next move?" Riku asked.
"Well, the Jabberwocky is what everyone's probably after, but only the red queen knows where it is." Spyro said. "And she might only summon it during this Frabjous day. Maybe we need to help the white queen fight the red one and slay the Jaberwocky, keeping it from being taken by either the Organization or by Malefor."
"That's a good plan, but the only one who can slay it is Alice." Twilight said, everyone looking to her as she tried pinching herself to wake up. "And something tells me she isn;t going to be much of a fighter."
"Well neither were any of you when you got your Keyblades and now look where you are." Spyro said, scratching Twilight's ear. "Maybe McTwisp does have the right one, but she's in denial, thinking logically when she needs to think illogically, let go of possibility and focus on impossibility."
"Ok, now you lost me." Riku said.
"This world doesn't follow the rules of logic or reality." Spyro replied. "It's full of impossible ideas and impossibility. Maybe if we-"
"Pinchy-pinch! Pinchy-pinch!" Pinkie said. "Pinchy-pinch! Pinchy-pinch!"
"What?" Riku asked.
"Pinkie's knee is pinchy." Spyro replied, looking worried. "Something scary and dangerous is coming."
As if on cue, a massive monster, a mix of bulldog, snow leopard, and bear with white fur and black spots, and a long tail appeared, roaring out so loud, it scared everyone to death.
"BANDERSNATCH!" The Tweedle twins shouted.
"Run!" Spyro shouted.
Without waiting, everyone fled away from the Bandersnatch right as red armored cards appeared, carrying nets and spears as they chased the entire group, the cardmen catchign a few flamingoes that weren't fast enough and catching the Dodo bird, a couple of them breaking off and catching both Pinkie and McTwisp, Spyro seeing them getting caught, but Pinkie just blew a balloon and popped it, disappearing andconfusing the cardmen while Spyro just smiled, knowing Pinkie couldn't be contained as he kept running. However, As Rainbow Dash was flying, one of the card guards got a crossbow ready, taking aim and firing it, hitting Rainbow Dash in the wing as she fell, crashing down with a loud thud as Spyro felt her pain, looking back and seeing the guards about to catch her, but Riku stepped in, calling his blade as he hit the guards net away, unleashing dark flames and sending him flying backwards before scooping up Rainbow Dash, running with her over his shoulder while Spyro and Twilight kept up with Alice and Mallymkun, the mouse hiding in a dead log as the Bandersnatch went after the runners. However, Alice stopped a moment later, an idea coming to her mind as she turned to face the Bandersnatch, Spyro and Twilight turning to see her face the Bandersnatch.
"What's she doing!?" Twilight shouted, both she and Spyro sliding to a halt.
"Wait here!" Spyro ordered.
He ran forward right as the Bandersnatch stopped, starring her down as it roared at her, but Alice didn't run, staying where she was, still thinking it was a dream.
"Run you big lug!" Mallymkun shouted.
The mouse jumped up onto the massive monster, running along it's head before taking her neddle and nailing the eye, making it yell in pain as it swiped around randomly, hitting Alice and making her fall to the ground right as it went to attack again, but Spyro arrived just in time, summoning his Keyblade and blocking the attack, puching the monster back as he looked down at Alice.
"Are you out of your bloody mind!?" Spyro shouted, helping her up. "Run girl, run!"
They then ran away from the Bandersnatch right as the mouse jumped down, claiming the monsters eye as a trophy as the card guards appeared, Spyro turning to see them chasing Riku and Rainbow Dash, so he slammed his foot into the ground and created a large crack. It traveled along the ground, heading straight for the army and past Riku as a massive gully appeared, making the guards stop while one was unfortunate enough to fall into the gully, screaming as he fell while the group ran away, the army watching them flee into the distance with the Tweedle twins having caught up with them. Back at the meeting area, a man walked up, wearing black armor and wearing an eye patch in the shape of a heart, reaching down and picking up the Oraculum, lookign at it as some of the guards approached.
"Sir, some of them got away." One of the guards said. "But they had help. One of the animals we caught escaped by blowing up a balloon while another was saved by a sliver haired kid wielding some kind of sword in the shape of a key."
"A Keyblade?" A voice asked. Behind the man, Vexen appeared, walking up and looking worried. "This bodes ill. If the Keyblade bearers are here, there's a likely hood the Prince of Light and Darkness is here as well."
"I'm more trouble about what's in the Oriculum." The man said, seeing what was in it as he walked to his horse. "We must return to Salazen Grum and show this to the queen immediately!"
"At once." Vexen said.
Vexen got on his horse and they rode off back towards the red queens palace, the card guards following close behind as they rushed back to Salazen Grum to show the queen what they have discovered. Witht he group, they were walking along the trail to get someplace safe, taking a rest a little ways up, so Riku set Rainbow Dash down while Spyro rushed over, seeing how bad it was. She winced as soon as he touched her wing, trying to not show weakness, but she had tears forming in her eyes, the pain being too much for her as she didn't attempt to move her wing. The arrow itself went clean through the wing, getting stuck in the wing and causing the injury to start turning red, both from some of the blood coming out and from infection already setting in.
"I know it hurts, but bear with it a little longer." Spyro said, snapping the arrow head off.
"Please, I can take it." Rainbow Dash said, trying to act tough, but was in pain.
"Alright, I'm going to remove the arrow shaft now." Spyro said, grabbing the shaft. "Alright, ready?"
"Not really." Rainbow Dash replied.
"On three." Spyro said. "One... two... three!"
He yanked the shaft out, making her scream in pain, digging her hooves itno the ground and gritting her teeth as she hissed in pain, tears rolling down her face. Spyro then tossed the arrow away and cupped the woud in his hands, green light shining on the inside of his hands, healing the wound. Once it was healed, he removed his hands and Rainbow Dash looked at her wing, the pain having left as she flapped them a bit and took off, flying around a bit to see if they still worked and was glad they did, still as fast as ever, flying down and hovering in front fo the group.
"Thanks Spyro." Rainbow Dash said. "Glad to have a guy who can heal us instantly."
"No problem." Spyro said, looking over at Alice and seeing she was injured. "You're hurt."
"It's nothing." Alice said. "Once I wake up, it won't even be there."
"Hate to burst your bubble Alice, but this isn't a dream." Spyro said, walking over and sitting down next to her. "Here, let me take care of that."
"I'm alright, really." Alice replied. "As I said, once I wake up, it'll be gone."
Spyro knew that wound wouldn't be alright, seeing how bad it was, but knew he couldn't go against her wishes, but he couldn't let that injury remain exposed, otherwise it would get infected and she might loose her arm. he reached into his bag and pulled out some bandages and some antibiotics, taking some of the bandages and looked to Alice.
"At least let me wrap it up before it get's infected." Spyro said.
Alice looked at Spyro and nodded her head, takign the antibiotics first and gently putting it over her wound, making her wince as he applied the medicine before wrapping the wound up, being careful not to make the bandages too tight, putting medical tape on the bandages once he finished wrapping it up to keep the bandage on her arm.
"Thank you." Alice said.
"No problem." Spyro said.
"Spyro, over here." Riku said.
They looked at him and everyone got up, walking or flying over to see a tree that had two signs and two arms pointing in different directions, one branch pointing to the left with a sign that said 'Snud' on it while the other one pointed to the right, the sign said 'Queste'. Everyone was confused about what that meant, Spyro and Riku looking at one another, not fully understanding what thay meant, but the Tweedle Twins knew, grabbing Alice's arms and wanting to go in different directions.
"This way." Tweedledee said. "East to Queste."
"No, south to Snud!" Tweedledum said.
"Hey, be careful you two!" Spyro said. "I just applied those bandages!"
"Twitchy twitch!" Pinkie shouted, her tail twitching. "Twitchy twitch! Twitchy twitch!"
Before anyone could look to the sky to see what was coming, they heard something screech above, turning to see a massive bird flying towards them. Without thinking, Spyro reached up and grabbed Rainbow Dash, ducking down while hugging her as everyone else ducked, but the Tweedle Twins didn't duck, getting caught by the bird as it flew off with them, looking to the sky and watching where the bird was going south east, heading towards Salazen Grum.
"What was that?" Twilight asked.
"You're asking me?" Spyro asked.
"I know what that thing is." Riku said. "It's called a Jubjub bird. One of the Red Queens pets, just like the Badersnatch."
"We need to keep moving." Spyro said, looking around and seeing another forest in the distance. "There, those woods should provide some cover incase that overgrown turkey comes back."
"Good thinking." Riku said.
"Yeah, that's great and all, but Spyro, you can let me go now." Rainbow Dash said, Spyro still holding her.
"Oh, sorry." Spyro said.
He set her down and she strted toflap her wings, hovering in the air while blushing a bit, trying to hide the blush. They then started to walk towards the forest, hoping to find some place to hide for a little while and rest up after nearly getting caught and killed. Meanwhile, at Salazen Grum, a palace med of white marble and with red roofing and symbols, set in the middle of a barrent wasteland with hundreds of guards outside, patrolling the grounds while in side, the red Queen, a short woman with a large head, wearing a red and black dress and a golden crown burst into her throne room, looking furious as everyone looked at her.
"Someone has stollen three of my tarts!" The red queen shouted, everyone looking at her in fear, knowing that when she's angry, someone was going to get punished severely. She looked around and then went over tot he line of frogs that acted like servants, starting with the first one as she glarred at him. "Did you steal them?"
"No your majesty." He said, a deep voice coming from him.
"Did you?" The queen asked the second one.
"No your majesty." The second one replied, his voice just as deep.
"Did you?" She asked the third one.
"No your majesty." The thrid one replied, but his voice was nervous and filled with fear.
She moved on, going to the fourth and fifth frog, but then paused at the fifth one, seeing he was looking to his left before looking forward, the red queen knowing that he gave the cuprit away ad she turned around, looking to the frogs and walking to the third one, bending down to look at him, hearing him gulp nervously as she looked at him.
"Did you steal my tarts?" She asked quietly.
"No your majesty." The third frog replied, his voice deep to try and keep calm.
But the queen wasn't buying it, noticing a spot of something purple on the corner of his mouth, wiping it up and tasting it, recognizing the taste as she looked at him.
"It's cranbearry juice." The queen said.
"I was so hungry!" The frog said, knowing the jig was up. "I didn't mean to!
"Off with his head!" The queen said.
"Please no!" The frog said, the guards grabbing him. "Please, my family! I have little ones! Spare me!"
"Go to his house and collect his little ones." The queen said. "I like tadpoles on toast almost as much as I like caviar."
"Yes your highness." A fish servant said, fearful for his own family.
She walked to the throne and sat in it, another servant coming over with a tray that had a drink on it, presenting it to her and she drank from it, the servant takign the glass away right as Vexen and the other human walked in from behind the curtains, walking over to her.
"Your highness." The human said, this time wearing a red eyepatch.
"Hello there Stayne, you knave." the queen said, Stayne kissing her hand. "Where have you and Vexen been lurking?"
"Your majesty." Stayne said. "We have found the Oraculum."
He took the scroll out and unrolled it, presenting it to the queen to look at.
"This old thing?" She asked. "Looks so ordinary from what I was told."
"Look here your highness." Stayne said. "The Frabjous day is quickly approaching."
The queen looked and saw her Jabberwocky and Alice fighting, looking to Stayne.
"I know that tangled mess of hair anywhere." The queen said. "Is it Alice?"
"It is your highness." Vexen said.
"And what is she doing with my darling Jabberwocky?" The queen asked.
"I believe she's slaying it." Stayne replied, horrifying her.
"She killed my Jabberwocky!?" She screamed, clearly scared.
"Not yet." Vexen replied. "She has only just arrived, but we have a bigger issue. The Prince of Light and Darkness and his friends are here."
"The Prince!?" The queen shouted. "Is it true Stayne?"
"I believe so." Stanye replied. "And he's with Alice right now."
"Then we need to stop them." A voice said. From the other side, Crimson Spark appeared, walking to them. "If he is with Alice, it won't be long before he finds the Keyhole and locks it, sealing it and destroying thsi world."
"They must be stopped at all costs." The Queen said. "Find Alice and the Prince of Light and Darkness. Fnd them!"
"At once, your majesty." Stayne said.
Vexen and Crimson Spark walked with Stayne, staying back to where Stayne couldn't hear them.
"The Queen is a fool." Vexen said. "She can't stop Alice from fighting the Jabberwocky. Once that day comes, we'll be ready."
"Indeed." Crimson Spark said. "Once the Keyhole is discovered, we'll destroy this wretched world and this worlds inhabitants, and the other Wonderland, will loose their hearts, giving your Organization an entire army of Heartless and Nobodies."
"Indeed, but first we'll need to take care of the Prince and his little friends first." Vexen said. "If they are here, they'll need to be taken care of first."
"Then we must take great care to defeat him." Crimson Spark said, the three of them walking out as the guards were getting the horses and a blood houd ready. "The prince will fight hard to protect this world and his friends."
"I know." Crimson Spark said, pulling out a couple of hand cannons with magic crystals on them. "But I doubt he'll be ready for what I have in store for him."
Vexen smiled, the two of them walking over and joining the hunting party to hunt down Alice and Spyro, riding out as they followed the blood hound after getting a scent.
