The girls arrived at the bathhouse and saw Negi and Asuna outside of it. Negi was holding a white rat who jumped down and started talking.
"I had never actually seen a talking rat before," said Gabrielle.
"That's not a rat, it's an ermine," said Mana.
"The ultimate punishment for someone who breaks the law" she said.
"That seems kind of extreme," said Gabrielle.
"I don't like rats" said Chao shivering.
Konoka closed her eyes looking into the Force and saw what happened.
"He is a pervert" growled Konoka.
"He tore off everyone's tops in the bath and tried to run away" she growled.
"Looks like he is staying with Negi" said Haruna.
"He is not staying with us" said Konoka.
They saw Negi and Asuna leave with the rat, so the girls went back to Eva's cottage to wait for Evangeline and Rose to come back.
On the way to the library, Rose asked "Do you have a plan?"
"Unfortunately," said Evangeline.
"He likes to annoy me by dressing me up, but it's nothing compared to what you do" she said.
"I knew you would come around eventually" exclaimed Rose hugging Evangeline.
"It is only for this" shouted Evangeline breaking free.
"Whatever you say" said Rose smiling.
"I can't believe I am doing this" grumbled Evangeline.
They arrived at the library and Evangeline led them to a secret entrance. That led to a secret area where a man in robes was reading.
"You have come to visit me Kitty," said Albireo.
He took out a pair of cat ears and put them on Evangeline's head. She reached up and felt they were plastic.
"Only plastic, how boring," said Evangeline.
"Couldn't get furry ones" she asked smirking?
"What" exclaimed Albireo.
"A play on her middle name, how amateurish," said Rose.
"Who said that" shouted Albireo looking around?
"I did" said Rose stepping out from behind a bookcase.
"You think you could do better" asked Albireo?
"In my sleep" said Rose yawning.
"Prove it," said Albireo.
Rose waved her hand and Evangeline started sparkling. She saw it and her eyes narrowed as she started growling.
"I HATE THEM" yelled Evangeline!
She started chasing Rose around the room to a shocked Albireo surprise. Rose used that chance to dive into his mind and find what she was looking for. She then erased that they were ever there and knocked him out. She changed into a phoenix, grabbed Evangeline, and disappeared in a flash of fire.
They reappeared in Eva's cottage and Rose changed back before changing into Harry.
"Get rid of it" growled Evangeline.
Harry waved his hand and got rid of the sparkles.
"You didn't like it" asked Harry?
"I hate those stories," shouted Evangeline.
"They make a mockery of vampires" she said.
"I won't use that again," said Harry.
"Thank you," said Evangeline.
"Did you find what we needed" she asked?
"I did," said Harry.
"Everything we thought was correct" he said.
"Great" said Evangeline sarcastically.
"Also, a fun fact is that he is really just a really old book," said Harry.
"Interesting" said Evangeline smirking.
They went and sat down waiting for the others to show up. They soon arrived and sat down.
"What happened" asked Harry?
"An ermine that Negi knows showed up and is going to stay with him," said Mana.
"That pervert is not staying with us" said Konoka.
"I guess that means that Asuna will become his partner soon," said Evangeline.
"Why do you think that" asked Gabrielle?
"It's basically their job," said Evangeline.
"They let criminals run around doing this," said Harry.
"It's why I always do it myself and taught Chachamaru as well," said Evangeline.
"What did you find out" asked Chao?
"Everything we thought about what happened was true," said Harry.
Everyone looked down at that.
"Is it even possible to fix it" asked Chao?
"I would have to look at it first to find out," said Harry.
"I guess we will leave Asuna the same as well" said Konoka.
"Yes" said Harry nodding his head.
"Besides her involvement with the brat will eventually reveal it or break it," said Evangeline.
Konoka went back to her room and saw that Asuna and Negi were already there with the perverted ermine.
"Don't move Negi, there is a rat on you" said Konoka.
"He's an ermine, not a rat," said Negi.
"Get rid of it" said Konoka.
"But he is my friend," said Negi.
"There will be no animals in this room" said Konoka.
"Get rid of it or find a new room to stay in" she said.
"Alright" said Negi sadly.
He left the room to find a place for his friend to stay.
"That was a bit harsh," said Asuna.
"I don't want that dirty thing going through my stuff" said Konoka.
Negi soon came back without the ermine.
One morning after breakfast, Rose's communicator started beeping.
"What is it" asked Rose?
"Master is sick, can you come help look after her" asked Chachamaru?
"Sure" said Rose.
"Eva-chan is sick again, so I am going to look after her" she said.
"Ok" said Setsuna.
"It's too bad her pactio doesn't help with it" she said.
"It only delayed it instead of getting rid of it," said Rose.
Rose left her room and went to Eva's cottage. Once she went inside, she changed back into Harry.
"Hello Harry" said Chachamaru.
"Master is currently in her room resting" she said.
"Ok" said Harry.
He went up the stairs and into Evangeline's room. He saw her resting peacefully, so he conjured a plush chair and sat down to watch over her.
Sometime later Evangeline started tossing and turning in bed having a nightmare. Harry got into bed with her and held her. She calmed down and snuggled into his embrace.
She soon woke up and saw she was in Harry's embrace. She smiled as she snuggled back into his embrace. She would never admit it, but she loved it when Harry took care of her.
Feeling the movement, Harry asked "Feeling better?"
"A little," said Evangeline.
Harry then looked towards the door of the cottage.
"What is it" asked Evangeline?
"The brat is coming," said Harry.
Evangeline started growling at that.
"How dare he interrupt" thought Evangeline growling.
"I will go deal with him," said Harry.
"You will stay in bed" he added looking at Evangeline.
"Fine" huffed Evangeline.
Harry jumped out of bed and changed into Evangeline. She then went downstairs. She saw Chachamaru open the door and saw Negi standing there holding an envelope.
"How devious of you to attack me while I am sick," said Eva.
"But I am well enough to crush you and steal your blood" she said.
"Asuna is now his partner and he tried to attack me" said Chachamaru.
"For that, I will suck you dry" growled Eva.
"I don't want to fight you now; I only want to challenge you" exclaimed Negi waving the envelope.
"Since you offered it, I declare we start now" said Eva smirking.
Eva held Negi in place and slowly walked up to him. She opened her mouth and went to bite his neck only for Negi to yell "NOOOOO!"
He released a burst of wind magic that Eva caught and sent back at him. He was blasted out of the cottage and into a tree. He then fell to the ground unconscious.
"That was great," laughed Evangeline.
"You knocked him out with his own magic" she laughed.
Eva turned around taking on an older form. She saw Evangeline sitting on the stairs.
"What are you doing out of bed" asked Eva?
"I wanted to watch the show," said Evangeline smiling.
"Go back to bed little lady and I will check on you tomorrow," said Eva.
"Yes mom" said Evangeline going up the stairs.
"Good girl," said Eva.
"I will take the brat back to his desk then go home" she said.
"Yes" said Chachamaru bowing.
Eva changed into Harry and picked Negi up. Harry snuck Negi to his desk and arranged for him to make it look like he fell asleep. He then changed his memories to make him think everything that just happened was a nightmare.
Soon it was time for the blackout and there were all kinds of stalls open selling different items for tonight.
"I don't know why they don't just do this during break," said Rose.
"Then they can't make a big deal out of it" said Konoka giggling.
As night fell, Chao entered the power plant in her assassin outfit.
"Hello there," said Chao.
"You are the one that is supposed to watch over us" asked one of the maintenance workers?
"Yes" said Chao nodding her head.
"We don't need a kid to watch over us" said another maintenance worker.
"We will see," said Chao.
Once all the maintenance workers were busy, Chao hacked the system and transferred all control to herself.
"Now let's see what you will do" thought Chao.
