Dr. West manages to calm Carrie down by telling her he's trying to help and once she lets go of him, he explains that he brought her back to life using his revolutionary reagent serum. While Carrie is stunned by this achievement, she's also angry upon learning of her resurrection, wishing to have stayed dead after killing her mother.
With quick thinking, West is able to convince the girl that this is a good thing, telling her that with his reagent and her help, they'll be able to bring back all of those who died at the Black Prom in their right minds. The Dr. theorizes that something within a telekinetic's brain is the key to perfecting his reagent formula.
Carrie ponders this for a moment and eventually agrees to help, consenting to let the doctor study her brain and procure those who she slaughtered that horrific night. West simply smiles at this, satisfied that he successfully manipulated her into aiding him.
