-"A pleasure to meet you, Unown. I'm Riley, the ranger in charge of this case. I'll be representing the Rangers Union at this meeting, as I am the only one amongst my immediate peers capable of speaking freely with pokemon." The man, Pichu sat upon his shoulder, announce to the gathering.

-"I am Alakazam, leader of the nearby pack of Abra. I speak for the wild pokemon in this area." The old pokemon raises a hand, announcing himself at his son's prompting.

-"Seaking, seaking sea. King." Emperor raises a fin, announcing himself as the representative of the Cooler Crew, and further announcing Jessie as the leader of this committie.

"Eh? Say again?"

-"Seaking sea?"

-"No objections here!"

-"Pichu-pi!"

-"Understood."

Then All Present Are In Agreement.

"How come I'm always picked to be the leader at these things?... Fine, fine! But if we're doing this, we're doing it my way!" The squishy man raises a tentacle and bangs against the side of his tank with a heavy *thunk*.

"Let's start by going over the facts, there are some new faces here since our last meeting, so let's get everyone up to speed! Riley, you take the lead!"

-"Got it. I'll start off by explaining what we know about Chimeras."

-"Chimera were first created as a side effect of an evil human who was turned into a Wartortle through mysterious means. Using a teleporter, he intended to escape from captivity, but due to a computer glitch caused by Jessie and Pichu here-"

-"Pi-chu!"

-"His plan failed. Instead, a bunch of junk data materialized at random locations connected to the pokemon teleportation system. Since then, phantom data pokemon have been floating around and trying to fuse with other people and pokemon!"

"Right. And those fusions are what we know as Chimera. Unown, you're up next."

These Chimera Were Not Created Due To A Simple Computer Accident.
They Were Intentionally Spawned By A Creature We Unown Know As The Error.
The Error Is An Entity Opposed To Our Creator And His/Her/Their/It's Will.

"Ow, always hurts to hear that name... So, any info on what this Error thing is?"

All Information Is Intentionally Kept Obscure By The Error To Prevent Us From Forming Defenses Against It.
All We Can Say Is It Is A Being Beyond Time And Space.
And That It Is Growing Stronger.

"Which leaves us with precious little to do other than continue our efforts in resisting the Chimeras. Alakazam?"

-"Yes. My pack and I have detected large numbers of Chimera moving into the nearby city of Goldenrod and then... becoming lesser. Weaker. Almost as though they were being drained by something. A theory was made known to me earlier today, by this one."

"I believe, according to all we know about the Chimera, they may be fusing together into a single massive Chimera.

-"Troubling news, if true."

-"Pi Pichu..."

"That brings us up to current events. Now, Riley, I believe we've kept old man Emperor waiting long enough. Tell us about the Poachers and how they relate to the situation."

-"Sea!"

-"Right, according to what those two you captured at the casino have told us, the poacher organization has been growing lately. They've been capturing all kinds of pokemon, both common and rare. Furthermore, they may be making use of the Chimera incidents to cover their tracks."

"And are these the same poachers that were active about ten years ago?"

-"Most likely. We weren't sure at first, but thanks to that evidence Emperor brought to our attention, the abandoned Seaking horn, we were able to link them to their crimes a decade ago. Namely the slaughter of a family of pokemon that were released into the area just months before Seaking horns began appearing on the black market."

-"Seaking?"

-"Yeah, there was a family of Seaking that were owned by a rich couple which was released into the waters around this area about ten years and some months ago. According to their statements at the time, they wanted their dear old friends to raise their child in the area where they themselves were born."

-"King..." Emperor goes quiet, contemplating what he was just told.

"Well, to finish that thought, it's likely that the two poacher groups are one in the same. Furthermore, they are making use of the Chimera's antics to get away with greater acts of crime, leading to their sudden growth."

"We can't deal with both of these problems at the same time, so we need to take down one group first!"

-"This seems logical. I will provide psychic assistance in locating these poachers."

And We Will Keep An Eye On The Chimeras' Movements.

"Sounds good... Alright! Meeting adjourned!" *thunk thunk*

After leaving the tank and returning to the small pond, Jessie had some last minute errands to run. Mostly in the form of checking up on his friends.

"Emperor, are you gonna be okay? That was a pretty big shock, learning that your family weren't always wild pokemon."

-"King..."

"Guess I'll never really understand how you feel, being a former human and all. But hey, maybe someone out there is worried about you? Wondering if their little Goldeen is doing alright. You've gotta live your best life for their sake to, don't you?"

-"...Seaking!"

"That's the spirit!"

-"Ki ki ki."

"Yeah yeah, yuck it up old man. Your student isn't quite the clueless little Tentacool anymore, so you can leave the Chimera problems to me and go focus on tracking down that poacher group!"

The old fish nods at his protege's wisdom and beckons Aurum to give him a ride back to the ocean. The pair begin their long road together with a few more mysteries and a little lighter of heart.

-"Jessie, we had better get going to. Whenever you're ready, come meet us on the next route over. We need to go on ahead and get HQ up to speed."

"Got it! You head on out, I'll be right behind."

The rangers head out as well, Unown flying off to his... broth, and leaving Jessie with the Abra pack.

"So, I'm guessing you two have a little more catching up to do?"

-"Yes."

-"Yeah, me and dad need to sort some personal stuff out. Also, I kinda promised to say hi to my siblings. Sorry we can't help out anymore till the drama dies down."

"No no, I get it. Family comes first, right? Oh! Before I forget, do you mind giving me a lift to-"

"DON'T TELEPORT AWAY WHEN I'M MID SENTENCE!"

Jessie looks around at the now empty route. A short plank fence separates him from the road leading to the ocean...
