Hey, I'm finally back! Fuck that took longer than I expected. I've been busy with playing Marvel Rivals, reading Lostbelt 7, HSR and I still have a huge backlog of Gunpla. Managed to pull Kukulkan and Tlaloc too, got fucking NP4 Kukulkan whilst I was trying to get a copy of Tlaloc.
But I digress. I've been rewatching season 4 and season 5 (whatever is out) to figure out how I can do the Freya arc, and I have an idea, but just not too sure, so if anyone has any ideas, I am open to suggestions. I do have something planned for after that though.
Guest, after reading LB7, I'd say Bell getting ORT is quite unlikely here. Yes he can potentially inherit Foreigners, but more so on the ones who are in human history like Yang Guifei or Van Gogh. ORT, however, not likely.
Guest, I have seen some of vol 20, bits only though. The OEBD is definitely something I plan to tackle, along with the bottom of the dungeon in this story. It will probably differ from canon a bit though.
Axcel Allen, most Servants Bell can use would include their Final Ascensions, but its a matter of whether Bell is strong enough to wield them, or if he even chooses to.
nbjdawe2001, theory 1 will be answered in this chapter I guess. But I'd say the Moss Huge is not dumb enough to attempt fighting the Amphisbaena, as it is smarter than most and has shown to avoid stronger adventurers. Reality Marbles will eventually show up, or not... But my understanding, and what they will be in this story, is that they are essentially just Bounded Fields of the highest tier.
AnimeFan13579, I think we sort of touched the Alter part when I had Bell inherit Ushiwakamaru. It's a matter of whether Bell is brought to a point where he'd turn to use an Alter, but theoretically, he can use every ability of the Heroic Spirit. So once Bell inherits Artoria, he can use both Excalibur and Rhonghomyniad, and Avalon as well. But again, that will be endgame Bell.
Dezzal, not sure if you're still reading this, but will respond anyways. I think in the beginning I did sort of mention that I'll be following canon quite closely, just making slight changes here and there. You're not wrong, nothing I'm doing here is original, I'm just taking Fate elements and smashing them into Danmachi. And lets face it, this is Fanfiction, I'm just doing whatever that comes to mind for me. That's all there is to it.
Firescout, thanks, you're literally the first one to pick up the Zoe Nightshade reference. Fucking hell, it took so long for someone to pick that up.
Anyways, with that out of the way, here is the newest chapter!
XXX
With the rest of the Hestia Familia, they had managed to finally clear off all of the monsters in the room, with Welf and Daphne keeping watch for any more monsters.
Lili stared at the raging river with a lost look, "Bell-sama…"
Aisha glanced at the others, Mikoto, Haruhime and Cassandra were helping Luvis with his companions.
The Amazoness sighed and smacked the prum lightly on the head, "He'll be fine. We need to worry about ourselves first."
Lili looked at her, "But Aisha-sama…"
Aisha nodded, "I know. But Bell has always gone beyond the limits of his Falna. Honestly, I don't even know how strong he actually is."
The prum frowned, "But he went into the water! He could drown!"
The Amazoness nodded, "It is possible, but very unlikely. The waterways here all lead to the basin on the 27th floor, and there are definitely a few smaller pools of water before you get there."
Lili looked at the water, "So you mean there's a high chance he ended up in one of these smaller pools."
Aisha nodded, "That's right. And Lili, I can tell you this. Bell is not just at the level of a Level 4, definitely not. Hell, if it's just him alone, he can go into these floors solo and come out unscathed."
The prum sighed, "Fine… You're not wrong. Bell-sama is strong."
The Amazoness nodded, "Good, now let's help the wounded. We're here already, might as well help them out first. Then we can go look for Bell."
The pair walked to the rest, and they quickly noticed the grim atmosphere.
Aisha asked, "What's wrong now?"
Cassandra looked at the Amazoness, "Aisha-san, those two Moss Huges that showed up… They were keeping these two inside their bodies."
Mikoto nodded, "They were probably using them like a frame, or a core… But they were hiding in the water for too long for the ambush."
Aisha nodded in understanding, "So they drowned…"
Luvis stared at Aleck's corpse painfully, "Aleck…"
Chariot lowered his head shamefully, "I'm sorry… We… We couldn't do anything. That thing… it brought out another one with it… probably using that dwarf. We could only watch."
Aisha looked at the other corpse, this one being a dwarf, "Do we know who he is?"
Luvis nodded, "I do, but we don't know his name… Just that he was a part of Dormul's team."
The Amazoness nodded, "I see."
The young woman sighed as she rubbed her temples, "Alright… This is a pain, but we're short-handed as it is."
Aisha looked at Luvis, "I'm sorry, but we'll have to leave their bodies here. We'll try to retrieve them later, but as of now we won't be able to carry them while protecting you."
The elf nodded painfully, "I understand. We're grateful for your help as it is."
The Amazoness looked at Lili and the others, "Then that settles it. We'll bring them to the 18th floor first. Welf, you're with me. Daphne and Mikoto, you two stay with everyone else. Any objections?"
No one objected, and Aisha walked to the exit of the room, "Once everyone is prepared, we'll get going."

With Bell, the boy coughed as he got out of the water.
He looked up at the waterfall behind him, "That's where I fell from huh…"
Bell took a deep breath as he moved his arms and legs around. They were sore, but nothing seemed to be broken.
The white haired rabbit looked around, noting the unusual silence of the area he was in.
The pool he had fallen into didn't have any monsters too, meaning he was potentially in a safe point.
Bell looked at an opening nearby, "Okay, let's find my way back to the others."
He sighed to himself. This would have been a good time for a Command Seal, but as far as he could remember, none of the other members of his Familia had them.
Clairvoyance would have been the next best thing, but none of the Heroic Spirits he had had the type he needed.
Bell started walking towards one of the exits nearby, but the moment he took a step, he heard a splash.
The boy looked around, and he quickly found the source of the splash.
Hiding behind one of the rocks in the water was what looked like the head of a female.
Bell quickly knew what she was, a mermaid.
But what caught his attention was the look in her eyes. They weren't like the mindless rageful monsters he had fought.
No, there was a hint of curiosity in them.
The mermaid asked, "Are you okay?"
That was certainly not the first thing Bell would have expected her to ask, "Yes, I'm okay."
Bell slowly approached her, "Are you one of the Xenos?"
The mermaid nodded, "Yes. Are you… Are you Bell?"
The boy blinked in surprise, "You know me?"
The Xenos smiled, "Wiene and Rei told me about you. White hair, red eyes. Strong aura."
The mermaid stopped hiding behind the rock, slowly swimming into the open.
Bell asked, "What's your name?"
The mermaid smiled, "Marie."
The boy smiled back, "Marie, nice to meet you."
Marie giggled and nodded as she got closer to the edge of the pool.
Bell looked around, "Are you here alone, Marie?"
The mermaid nodded, "Lyd and everyone else are above. So I'm keeping watch."
The boy nodded, "They're supposed to be scouting out Knossos, if I'm not wrong."
Marie nodded as she pushed herself up so she could sit on the edge of the water.
The mermaid looked down, "I want to go with them… But I don't have legs or wings like everyone does."
Bell asked, "So you're always here?"
Marie nodded, "Yes. I could go further below, but never up. But it's not bad, it's safe here."
The boy sat down beside her as he looked around, "So this is a safety point."
The mermaid shook her head, "Not exactly. It's rare, but monsters do show up here sometimes."
Bell looked up at the place where he fell from, "I can imagine why…"
Marie smiled, "Come on. I'll bring you to a safe place. We can talk more there."
She slid into the water, looking at the boy expectantly.
Bell looked at her, and then back at the waterfall, "I would love to. But I have to go back to my friends."
Marie tilted her head in confusion, "Now? Why? You can go back later."
The white haired rabbit shook his head, "There's an abnormal monster that I have to defeat. My friends are strong, but I'm worried for them. In fact, I was fighting it before I fell down."
The mermaid frowned, "This… monster… Was it big and green?"
Bell nodded, "Yeah, that's right."
Marie quickly held on to his legs, "No! You can't! That thing… It will eat everything!"
The boy's eyes softened, "You've seen it, haven't you, Marie?"
The mermaid nodded, fear evident in her eyes, "It killed some humans and monsters. It tried to hunt me too, but I was faster in the water."
Bell nodded, "Then more the reason for me to kill it."
Marie held onto him tighter, "You can't… You'll die… I can't… Wiene and Rei will be sad."
The boy smiled and gently pulled her off him, "It's fine. I'm strong, trust me. I'll take that Moss Huge down, not just for my friends, but for you as well."
The mermaid looked at him, and despite the gentle smile on his face, Marie could see nothing but confidence and reassurance in his eyes.
Marie took a deep breath, "Alright."
She let go, and Bell stood up, turning back to the waterfall, "It'll be a pain, but I guess that's where I'll have to go."
The boy estimated he hadn't drifted that far after he fell into the water, so if he went straight up, it would be directly where the others were.
Bell took a breath, "Load: David."
Marie blinked in confusion as the boy summoned a sling, "Bell? What are you doing?"
The boy smiled at her, "Ah, this might be confusing, but I need to go back up there."
The mermaid tilted her head, "If you want to go there, I can bring you. It'll be faster than trying to push against the current."
Bell raised an eyebrow, "Really? Can you show me?"
Marie pointed towards an opening nearby, "There, there's a path that we can use that'll lead us straight to the upper layer of this floor."
The boy nodded, "Alright, let's go."
The white haired boy followed the mermaid towards the opening on whatever ground he had.
As he walked, Bell thought of how he could take the Moss Huge down.
If Cassandra's vision was anything to go by, flames would play a huge role. But he didn't exactly have a Heroic Spirit who was known for their flames.
The most he had were Muramasa's swords and Gilgamesh's magecraft. He could use Zhuge Liang to set traps that involved fire, but those didn't come close to the former two.
Which also meant he had to contract a Heroic Spirit with ties to flames.
There were a few that came to mind, but they were heroes that had ties to the sun like Karna.
Bell was quickly brought out of his musings when he heard Marie speak, "We'll take a left here."
Marie pointed at the path to the left, and Bell realized they had come to a split path.
The white haired rabbit nodded, "Gotcha."
The two went left, and Bell decided to file it off for later. First he needed to find his friends.

With Aisha and the rest of the Hestia Familia, the group were making their way back towards the entrance of the 25th floor.
Welf and Daphne were helping Chariot and Lana walk, whilst Haruhime helped Luvis walk.
That left Cassandra, Mikoto and Lili at the back, while Aisha walked in front.
The Amazoness glanced back, and she quickly turned her focus to the front.
It wasn't the best formation, but given their lack of personnel, it was the best they could come up with.
Aisha tightened her grip on her sword, annoyed at herself for struggling in this situation.
As much as she hated to admit, she had become complacent, too trusting in Bell's power and that he'd always be present.
The woman had always thought herself the second strongest in their Familia, but she hadn't realized how much of a gap there was between their captain and herself.
It was laughable.
Aisha didn't let it show, but she was finding it hard to keep every monster at bay, and many had got past her, forcing Daphne and Welf to deal with them.
That slowed their progress immensely, for Chariot, Lana and Luvis still couldn't walk properly.
Even if Lili wasn't collecting every magic stone, the simple need to carry the elves again was enough to delay them.
With Bell, there wouldn't even be a single monster that would reach Aisha, much less Daphne or Welf.
The Amazoness caught herself, and she cursed herself once more for having those thoughts, for being dependent on the younger boy.
But she was brought out of her musings when she heard Mikoto's voice, "Aisha-dono! Monsters coming from the front!"
Aisha nodded and brandished her sword, "Roger that."
As the swordswoman had reported, the Blue Crabs quickly came into view, and Aisha started chanting as she dashed forward.
Swinging her sword, Aisha took down a dozen Blue Crabs in an instant.
Continuing her chant, the Amazoness pushed herself forward, but was careful not to go in too deep.
Aisha pushed down a growl as she spotted a few Blue Crabs moving in from her far left, but continued chanting instead as she dashed towards those monsters.
But the moment she cut those monsters down, more moved in from the spot where she'd been, and Aisha grunted as she kicked at the ground to dash back.
In the blink of an eye, the Amazoness cut them down, just in time as she finished her chant, "HELL KAIOS!"
Aisha swung her sword down, unleashing the wave of energy that wiped out the monsters before her.
The woman took the chance to take a deep breath, brandishing her sword to rid it of the grime and blood.
Aisha glanced at her Familia members, "Alright, let's keep going."
Haruhime looked at her with worry, "Aisha-san, should we take a five minute break?"
The Amazoness raised an eyebrow, "Are you getting tired?"
The renard shook her head, "No, it's just that we've been moving non-stop for a while now. I'm worried you're getting tired."
Aisha shook her head, "No, I'm fine-"
Lili spoke up, "I agree with Haruhime-sama. Aisha-sama, you're breathing heavily."
The Amazoness froze, realizing she was indeed getting tired.
The woman sighed, "Alright. But five… no, ten minutes only. Then we keep moving."
Welf and Mikoto looked at each other, "We'll keep watch, let us know when you're good to go."
Aisha nodded, "Thank you."
With that said, the woman went to sit down and lean her back on the wall.
Haruhime reached into her bag and brought out a flask of water, "Here."
Aisha nodded gratefully, "Thanks."
She took a few gulps down, before she sighed, "I sure hope he's having a much better time than we are."
Daphne looked at the Amazoness, "You mean Bell?"
The taller woman nodded, "Yeah. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if he came back with new heroes in his arsenal."
Lili giggled, "Sounds like something he'd do."
Luvis smiled, "Bell Cranel. He must be pretty amazing if what you say is true."
Cassandra nodded, "He is. But he does have a hero complex."
Aisha snorted, "Understatement of the year."
The group laughed, but before they could continue, the sound of footsteps reached their ears, and everyone tensed up.
Welf drew his sword, "Get ready, Mikoto."
The samurai rested her hand on the hilt, "Say no more."
But the two were surprised when they saw three dwarves walking to them.
Luvis immediately recognized them, "Dormul!"
Dormul's eyes widened in recognition when he saw the elf, "Luvis! You're alive!"
The injured elf nodded, "So are you."
Lili looked at the three dwarves, "You must be the other party Luvis-san mentioned. Good to see you're still… alive, at least."
She noticed the vines entwined around their bodies, and evidently, Dormul noticed her gaze.
The dwarf asked, "So you know what these are huh?"
He saw Luvis affected by the vines too, and he nodded, "No, of course you would."
Mikoto asked, "How can you all walk normally? It's taking them everything they can to just stand."
One of the other dwarves chuckled painfully, "Lucky for us, dwarves are a bit more sturdier than elves, so it would seem."
Luvis snorted, "That seems to be the case."
Lili looked at Aisha, "Aisha-sama, if you're good, can we also escort these people back to the 18th floor?"
The Amazoness sighed, "Not like I have much of a choice. Anyone with a shred of humanity wouldn't let them die here."
The prum smiled, before she looked at the dwarves, "How about it? We'll bring you back to the 18th floor, along with Luvis-san and his party."
Dormul nodded gratefully, "If you could, that would be greatly appreciated. We've already lost one of our members to that accursed monster."
Lili nodded, "That settles it then. We're taking a small break for now, once we're rested, we'll continue our way back to the 18th floor."
The captain of the dwarf party nodded, "Of course. We need a break too, we've been moving constantly fearing we'd be caught in a monster spawn."
The dwarves all proceeded to sit down near Aisha and the others, before Daphne approached , "Aisha, maybe we should rotate who spends time on the front. Welf and I can fight on the front while you stay in the middle, and we'll rotate every now and then."
The Amazoness raised an eyebrow, "I don't mind, but we won't have enough people to carry the-!"
She stopped, realizing where the redhead was coming from.
Daphne nodded, "We have Dormul-san and the others now, I hate to suggest this, but they're still physically able."
The redhead looked at the dwarves, "Is that acceptable for you? Our formation until now has been mainly focused on Aisha taking the front and protecting Luvis-san and his party, at this rate, she'll tire herself out and we'll be worse off."
Dormul nodded, "Of course, we may be affected by the vines, and we won't be able to fight for shit, but we can still move just fine. Carrying an elf or two is nothing."
Daphne nodded in satisfaction, before she looked at Aisha, "There you have it then."
Aisha nodded, "Alright, guess I can't complain."
The Amazoness stood up, "Anyways, break is over. Let's keep moving."
Welf looked at the woman, "So Daphne and I will take the front this time, yeah?"
Aisha nodded, "I'll leave it to the two of you then."
The group continued to make their way back up.
Meanwhile, in a cave not too far from the Hestia Familia and their new companions, the Moss Huge stood in front of a number of corpses and piles of wood.
The enhanced monster's mouth curved into a smirk, as it reached out, the moss that made up its body reaching out towards the dead bodies.
As the Moss Huge did its work, it glanced to a side, where it could see a group of Blue Crabs hiding in the water.
Some time later, back with the rest of the Hestia Familia and the two parties, the group slowly made their way through the dungeon.
Welf and Daphne stood at the forefront, the young woman stabbing any monsters that came close.
As for the blacksmith, the young man had a magic sword in his hand, and with a strong swing, unleashed a blast of lightning that vaporized the group of monsters before him.
At the back, Dormul whistled as he watched the pair demolish the monsters with little effort, "I'll say it again, those magic swords are amazing."
Aisha snorted, "Of course they are, our resident blacksmith poured his sweat and blood into making them."
Soon, with two more swings of his magic sword, Welf cleared the corridor of the monsters.
The pair turned to the rest of the party, and Lili spoke, "Well done, you two. Let's keep moving."
Aisha spoke up, "Once we go through two more hordes, I'll swap with you two."
Welf nodded, "Thanks, that'll give us some downtime on the magic swords. We still have plenty, but I don't want to use them all if we can."
Daphne nodded, "Definitely. And the ones you gave me earlier are still unused, we should be fine."
The blacksmith nodded, and the group continued progressing through the dungeon.
After a while, the group soon reached a large cavern, with multiple paths that led further in and out of the dungeon floor.
Luvis asked from Dormul's side, "This place, we can use this to get back to the entrance, can't we?"
Lili nodded as she checked her map, "It can. Since we went in the second one from the left when we came in, that should mean the entrance would be this."
She pointed at the opening on their right, and Dormul spoke, "Let's get going then."
Before they could move, however, the ground started shaking.
Cassandra yelped, "W-what's going on?"
Mikoto closed her eyes as she extended her senses, and her eyes snapped open, "Monsters! Incoming!"
Aisha frowned, "Where?"
The samurai drew her sword, "Everywhere!"
Welf spoke up, "We have monsters coming from all paths!"
Daphne frowned, "We'll have to go back."
Haruhime yelled, "We have monsters from the back too!"
The Amazoness furrowed her brows, "What the hell is going on?"
Her eyes widened when she spotted the giant combined Moss Huge at the far end of one of the paths, "The Moss Huge?!"
Aisha gritted her teeth, "A bloody monster put us on a Pass Parade?!"
Daphne yelled, "The Moss Huge is also on the left!"
Welf spoke up from the right, "There's one on the right too."
Lili looked around, and in every path where hordes of monsters were swarming out, there was a Moss Huge at the back, bringing it to a total of five Moss Huges.
Cassandra's expression fell, "It… it planned this… It's going to devour everything…"
Haruhime looked at Aisha, "What do we do?"
Aisha growled under her breath, "We'll have to choose a path and try to push through. That's the only way."
Her eyes darted between the paths available to them, and she quickly noticed how two of the Moss Huges were much smaller than the others.
One of them just so happened to be one of the paths on the right, "We go there! Welf!"
Welf looked at her, "Yeah?"
The Amazoness brandished her sword, "I want you to clear the path, I doubt any of our magic swords will do much to the Moss Huge, so I'll hold it back. Once we're clear, use your magic sword again and clear off the rest."
The blacksmith nodded and drew his magic sword, "RAIKOU!"
The man swung the sword, unleashing a giant blast of lightning that vaporized most of the monsters in the path.
Aisha yelled as she rushed forward, "Now!"
The Amazoness dashed forward and leaped up, spinning down for a slash at the Moss Huge.
Aisha grunted as her blow was stopped easily with its fists, "Tch!"
The monster swung its arms to strike the woman, but the Amazoness kicked at its arms, pushing herself away.
Aisha heard the footsteps behind her, and she quickly threw herself at the monster once more.
As the party ran past them, the Moss Huge tried to reach for the supporters, but Aisha was there to stop it, "Oh no you don't!"
The woman slashed at the Moss Huge's arm, before kicking at it again, sending it stumbling while she flipped back towards her allies.
Aisha backed up, "Now, Welf!"
The blacksmith stepped up beside her, magic sword already in hand, "RAGHHH!"
With a mighty roar, Welf swung his magic sword down, unleashing yet another giant blast of lightning that struck the Moss Huge and other monsters behind it.
The blacksmith gaped when the Moss Huge was revealed to be singed, but relatively unscathed as it quickly regenerated, "What the fuck?!"
Aisha pulled him, "We knew that was gonna happen! Come on!"
The two quickly rejoined the party, all of them running as fast as they could.
As they ran, Daphne asked, "Lili, where does this path lead us? We'll need to find a way back to the entrance."
The prum quickly pulled out her map, and her eyes widened, "Oh no… This path will lead us to a giant room, it's a safety point, but it'll be a dead end!"
Aisha growled, "Fuck!"
The group continued running as they knew stopping would put them against the monsters that were quickly closing in behind them.
Soon, they could see the large room up ahead, and Haruhime spoke up, "Aisha-san, what if we use that now?"
The Amazoness pursed her lips, "... No, not yet. I'm hopeful it'll help us turn this around, but there's those Moss Huges too."
Daphne spoke up as she ran beside the long haired woman, "I think we can start it up when we reach the dead end."
Aisha tightened her grip on her sword, "All or nothing, huh?"
Soon, they reached the room, a fairly large chamber with a high ceiling.
Like most other rooms, there were waterways in the room, but unlike most, the waterways circled at the edges, forming a giant platform in the center.
Aisha scowled, "Of all the places, it had to be a large one!"
Lili's eyes darted around, "Aisha-sama, we'll have to try and keep them at the entrance."
The Amazoness nodded, "I know. If they come in, we'll be in trouble."
Aisha looked at Welf, "Welf! I hope you have an ice magic sword somewhere!"
The blacksmith nodded, "Of course I do. Lil Lili!"
The prum reached into her bag and pulled out a moderately sized magic sword, "Here!"
Welf took it quickly and swung it at the entrance, creating a wall of ice that separated them from the monsters.
Welf looked at the others, "Now what?"
Aisha looked around, before she looked up, "We form up, protect Haruhime while she finishes her spell."
The Amazoness turned her gaze at Dormul and Luvis' parties, "This is a pain in the ass, but we'll need you to swear that you'll keep whatever you see a secret."
Luvis blinked in confusion, "What are you talking about?"
The sound of the monsters reached their ears, as the ice started to shake, and Aisha glared at them, "We don't have much time, and I rather not cut you down where you stand. So which is it?"
Dormul flinched when he saw the glare, "S-sure. We promise."
Luvis nodded, "W-we swear on the name of our holy queen."
Aisha nodded, as the sound of monsters smashing at the ice wall got louder, "Do it!"
The ice started to crack, and Welf continued to swing his magic sword, "Be quick! I don't know how long my magic sword will last!"
Haruhime backed up behind her Familia members, "... Alright, here I go."
"Koko-UAHH!"
A loud splash caught their attention, and Haruhime's scream made everyone turn around.
Aisha's face paled, "HARUHIME!"
The renard was in the air, in the hands of yet another Moss Huge, and two more rose from the water beside it.
Daphne cursed, "Dammit! It… They had this all planned out!"
The Amazoness growled, "Let her go!"
Aisha dashed forward, sword poised to strike, but before she could get to the one holding Haruhime, two fists slammed into her, sending her crashing into the wall.
Lili yelled in worry, "Aisha-sama!"
The Moss Huge seemed to smirk, and its arm pulsed, injecting a seed into Haruhime's shoulder, as vines started growing around her body, earning a painful scream from the renard.
The Amazoness grunted in frustration as she pushed herself off the ground, "Fuck!"
Mikoto and Daphne stepped forward in front of Dormul and Luvis' party, facing against the two Moss Huges while Welf continued sealing the entrance off.
Lili pursed her lips as she watched the two swordswomen weave around the two Moss Huges, trying to slash and stab at the enhanced monsters.
But even then, they were unable to do much, for the Moss Huges easily blocked or dodged their attacks.
Mikoto grunted as she redirected a punch away, only to have to jump away just in time to avoid a ground shattering punch.
Daphne frowned as she ducked under a swing before stabbing at the Moss Huge, only for the monster to regenerate quickly, "This is bad, we're getting nowhere!"
The samurai landed on her feet softly, "We have to find a way to break through. Daphne-dono, I hate to ask you of this, but can you hold both off while I chant my magic?"
The redhead snorted, "Do I look like I have a choice?"
"She won't be alone."
Aisha stepped beside the pair, and Mikoto smiled, "Took you long enough."
The Amazoness spared her a glance, "Try tanking a hit like that and get up."
Daphne chuckled, "At least I don't have to face two of those alone."
Aisha nodded, but before they could charge forward, Welf's voice reached their ears.
"Umm… guys! The ice! I think we're screwed!"
The sound of monsters screeching reached their ears, and Mikoto turned to see the monsters' heads pushing through a small opening in the ice wall.
The samurai also quickly noticed the remains of the ice magic sword at Welf's feet.
Aisha kept her eyes on the three Moss Huges with Daphne, but the two could easily guess what was happening.
The Amazoness cursed, "Fuck this bullshit…"
The third Moss Huge holding Haruhime seemed to smirk at the frustration from the adventurers.
Then, as if to make things worse, the ice wall was blown away from the other side, revealing the many monsters and a single giant Moss Huge.
Unlike the other Moss Huges, this one was easily twice the size as the one Bell fought before.
Lili gaped, "That size…. Did all the Moss Huges outside merge together?"
Welf tightened his grip on his sword as the giant Moss Huge approached them, followed by the swarm of monsters, "I don't think that matters either way…. We're screwed."
But before anyone could say anything, the ground suddenly started shaking.
Daphne cursed as she widened her footing to stabilize herself, "What now?!"
A large noise that sounded like explosions reached their ears, and Cassandra's eyes widened, "I-It's coming from outside!"
Dormul and the others watched anxiously as they could see the ashes exploding behind the massive Moss Huge, a tell-tale sign of someone destroying the monsters.
Then, the sound of galloping horses came.
Before anyone realized what was happening, the massive Moss Huge was sent flying across the room, crashing into the ground behind the three smaller Moss Huges.
Then they saw him.
Lili felt a huge surge of relief, "B… Bell-sama!"
The white haired hero stood on his chariot, Xanthus, Balius and Pedasos neighing fiercely on the front.
The boy looked at his friends, "Everyone alright?"
Lili nodded, before she looked at the four Moss Huges, "For the most part… But Haruhime-sama…"
Bell stepped down from his chariot, releasing his hold on Achilles' powers, "Load: Gilgamesh."
The powers of the king of Uruk filled his body as he walked forward, "Set: Gate of Babylon."
Golden portals appeared behind him, and before anyone could react, the arm holding Haruhime fell off from the Moss Huge as a sword sliced through it in an instant.
The chains of Enkidu quickly wrapped around the renard gently, before pulling her back to the group.
Bell quickly noticed the vines wrapped around her body, and he handed the blonde to the Amazoness, "Here."
Aisha sighed in relief, "Took you long enough."
The boy smiled, "Sorry, I got lost."
Bell looked at the four Moss Huges, "Leave them to me."
Daphne blinked, "You sure? I mean, I don't doubt you, but what if they do the same thing before?"
The boy kept his gaze on the monsters, "I've been thinking about what you told me, Cassandra. I think I've got it."
The healer's eyes widened slightly from his words, "R-really?"
Bell nodded, and he raised a hand, sending multiple spears stabbing into the four Moss Huges.
The massive Moss Huge growled and started pulling the spears out of its body, and the boy took the chance to focus.
He had thought hard about it, and he didn't want to take any chances, so he went for a hero that had ties to others he had already inherited.
Another Knight of the Round Table, also known as the White Knight of the Round Table and the Knight of the Sun.
Then, time stopped.
"You know, if you had only inherited Sir Lancelot, I wouldn't have responded. And surely there are other heroes more closely associated with the sun than myself."
The voice of a man sounded in his mind, and Bell smiled, "But it is not only Sir Lancelot's existence I have inherited."
The voice chuckled, "Indeed. You started off with Sir Galahad, and I suppose going from that, it is only logical you reach out to another Knight of the Round Table."
Bell nodded, "So, will you lend me your powers?"
The voice snorted, "Of course. From the moment you inherited Sir Galahad, it is inevitable that you inherit all of us. I suspect it is only a matter of time before you inherit our king as well."
The boy nodded, "It'll come when it comes. I don't really want to rush it, as eager as I am to use the Excalibur and Caliburn."
The voice laughed goodheartedly, "Very true. I suppose you should focus on the task at hand, we don't want your friends to be at the mercy of such foul monsters."
Bell nodded, "Then let us begin. From this day forward…."
"I am thou. And thou, art I."
Time resumed, as Bell continued to chant, "Thou hast acquired a new vow. Thy body shall serve under mine will, and mine fate shall be thy sword!"
The massive Moss Huge finally managed to pull the spears out of its body, regenerating its wounds before it thrust its arms into its clones to rid them of the spears.
"Let an oath be sworn here! I shall attain all virtues of all of Heaven. I shall dispose of all evil of Hell!"
Memories of the knight filled his mind, as images flash through his head.
"If thou dost accede to this will and reason, then answer my call!"
Bell saw the life of a loyal knight who, despite being a perfect counterpart, admired his king more than anything.
A knight earnest in his loyalty to his king and his family, so earnest that he ended up playing a part in ruining his king.
"Come forth from the rings of restraint, o' Protector of the Balances!"
A knight whose loyalty was his greatest virtue, yet also his greatest regret.
"Load: Gawain!"
The powers of Gilgamesh left Bell's body, as the existence of Gawain filled his body.
A broad sword appeared in his hands, one that easily rivaled the likes of Arondight.
The four Moss Huges all roared at him, and they charged straight at him.
The massive Moss Huge reached him first despite being the largest, and it swung its fist at the boy.
But now armed with Gawain's immense strength, the boy caught the punch with his free hand almost easily.
Pushing the Moss Huge away, Bell punched the monster with his free hand, sending the massive abnormal monster crashing into its clones.
Running his free hand over the blade of his sword, Bell engulfed the sword in flames, before dashing forward.
The Moss Huges all growled as they regained their footing, but Bell was already upon them.
Raising the sword in his hand up high, the boy swung it down in a heavy downward slash.
Flames instantly exploded when the sword met one of the smaller Moss Huges, incinerating it in an instant.
The massive Moss Huge grunted in annoyance when it saw one of its clones destroyed, and it stomped on the ground, sending vines underneath.
Countless tendrils shot out from around Bell, but the boy didn't falter, and instead swung his sword in a wide arc.
The flames from the sword burned the tendrils away, and Bell stared at it firmly, "The same trick won't work again."
The Moss Huges all roared, before each one unleashed barrages of seeds at the group, but Bell was ready this time.
"Over-Load: Galahad. Set: Lord Camelot!"
The white walls of Camelot revealed themselves once more as they blocked the seeds easily.
The massive Moss Huge growled again, and two more clones split out from its body, as the main one backed away in an attempt to escape into the water.
Bell narrowed his eyes as he saw the four smaller Moss Huges fan out around him, but he kept his eyes trained on the main one.
Its size shrunk slightly from creating more clones, but it was still larger than the others.
Bell took a deep breath, "Let's end this."
He ran his hand over the blade of his sword once more, "This sword is a reflection of the sun. Its flame burns away all evil and impurities."
As he chanted, the blade was once again engulfed in flames, and Bell tossed it into the air.
To everyone's surprise, the sword exploded into a giant sphere of flames.
Yet, Bell simply continued to chant, "Tis' another holy sword of the planet!"
A single streak of light shot down from the sphere, reaching down before Bell, and the boy wasted no time to grab it with both hands.
The flames all flowed back into Bell's hands, forming the Sword of Revolving Victory once more.
"Set…"
Bell angled the tip of the sword at the Moss Huges before him, and the main one quickly recognized the danger, as it started making a beeline for the water.
"Excalibur… GALATINE!"
It was too late, as Bell thrust the sword forward, and a huge white beam of flames.
The beam instantly engulfed every Moss Huge in front of Bell, before blasting through the walls of the dungeon.
It ended as soon as it happened, and Bell was left standing with his sword outstretched.
The only proof that the Moss Huges ever existed was the sole magic stone that now laid on the ground, along with the giant gaping hole in the dungeon's wall.
Mikoto asked, "Did that do it?"
As if to answer her question, the vines on Haruhime's body and everyone else who had been hit vanished.
Dormul grinned as he felt his body lighten up, "Guess that's your answer."
Aisha snorted with a smile, "Guess so."
Her smile dropped slightly as she watched Lili and the others approached Bell, and her grip on her sword tightened, 'And I guess I need to catch up quickly…'
Back with Bell, the boy asked, "Is everyone alright?"
Lili nodded, "We are."
Welf punched the boy on the shoulder, "Bloody hell, what the hell is that sword? It feels illegal to have something like that!"
Bell held up the Galatine, "Yeah, well… It's a sword forged by the fae, I'd say normal humans wouldn't be able to forge something like this, at least not yet."
Cassandra smiled, "Thank you, Bell… for proving my vision right."
The boy grinned, "Hey, it gave me a hint, and it worked out fine in the end. Having Gawain's powers is a huge advantage for us all."
Lili nodded, "I can definitely see that. That Noble Phantasm is easily on par with the Nine Hells' magic, if not stronger."
Daphne sighed in exasperation, "Only a Level 4 and he already has magic on par with a Level 6, talk about scary."
Aisha snorted, "You'd think we'd be used to it by now, right?"
Lili giggled, "That's Bell-sama for you."
Bell paused, "Speaking of, I wonder how Lord Camelot or even Rho Aias will hold against Riveria-san's magic though…"
Welf shook his head, "We just got out of a death and life situation and he's already thinking of that… I give up."
Everyone laughed, before Aisha spoke up, "Alright, we're all back together now. Let's head up to the 18th floor, I need a break."
Bell nodded, "Of course, everyone is exhausted, and we have some wounded with us."
Lili nodded, "Definitely."
The boy turned, "Actually, before we do. Give me a few minutes. I'll be back quickly."
The prum blinked, "Huh?"
Without waiting for them, Bell vanished in a burst of speed.
Some distance away from the room, at a water way, Marie was waiting for Bell in the water.
The mermaid beamed at him, "Thank you, Bell! You kept your promise!"
The boy smiled, "I told you, didn't I?"
Marie looked at the direction where Bell had come from, and she could quickly hear the footsteps of his friends.
The mermaid spoke, "Will I see you again?"
Bell nodded, "Definitely. I'll come look for you when I come down here next time. You'll be in that same safety area we were in before, right?"
Marie giggled, "Most of the time, yes."
The boy got an idea, "Load: Gilgamesh."
The mermaid was surprised by the sudden change in aura, but before she could respond, Bell gently held her hand, a golden glow in his palm.
The glow quickly died down, and Marie found a single red symbol on the back of her hand.
Marie looked at it curiously, "What is this?"
Bell smiled, "A Command Seal. It's a single use one though, but just having it on you will let me know where you are when I'm in the dungeon. If you need help, just channel through the seal, and I'll come to you."
The mermaid looked at it in awe, "Wow."
The boy chuckled, "Only use it in emergencies though."
Marie beamed, "I understand! Thank you!"
Bell nodded, "I gotta go now, I'll come see you again next time, okay?"
The mermaid nodded, "Okay, bye bye!"
With that said, she dove into the water, and Bell stood up, turning to go meet up with his friends.
XXX
Done. So that wraps up the Moss Huge small arc. A bit shorter than I expected to do on my end, but well...
Anyway, the next one will be the start of part 2 of season 4, Ryuu's arc or the Juggernaut arc. We might do the Amphisbaena fight first though.
But well, we'll see.
Anyways, read and review please.
UNtil next time.
