(Ryoto POV)

Yet another turn-of-events morning for some reason. The girl that fell down is now looking straight at me. She's wearing a dark green dress with a white and blue-accented veil and brown leather boots. Complimented by a silver rosary on her neck, she must definitely be a nun.

Ryoto: 'Well that just happened. Is she a foreigner? ...Never mind that.' "You okay? Here, I can help. You're not hurt, are you?"

Before the staredown could get more awkward, I walk over to her and offer to lift her up back on her feet.

???: "Oh. No, I'm okay, really."

I manage to get a much better look at her face after her veil got blown away by the wind. She's got hip-long beautiful golden blond hair with perfect end-cuts and gentle green eyes.

Blondie: "Um, thanks."

Ryoto: "Uh, no problem at all."

I'm snapped out of my trance and let go of her hand before anything else happens. But now there's kind of an awkward silence between us. The wind gets stronger and her veil is nearly blown away. I act fast and try to catch it, but Daimonji already beat me to it.

Ryoto: 'That girl seems really mysterious...' *blushing* 'But wow, she's such a beauty.'

Daimonji brings over the veil, but it seems he caught onto me checking her out. And gives me a very sly look that would make even the most cheshire cat jealous.

Ryoto: *panicking* "Hey, don't give me that darn look!"

Blondie: "Excuse me?"

Ryoto: "Huh? Um, nothing!"

I return her veil and she puts it back on. Gotta say, it fits her both with and without.

Blondie: "That was very sweet of you."

Ryoto: "Nah. It's no big deal at all. By the way, you seemed lost falling down like that." *stonefaced* 'Not suspicious observation at all, ya dingus- wait... isn't she speaking Italian? Than how can I understand her? Is this also a devil ability?'

Blondie: *fidgeting* "Um... I'm sorry, but I guess I am a little bit lost. Do you think you could help me out? *giggle*"

(3rd POV)

It shocked Ryoto to realise, that he can understand this girl, despite her not speaking in Japanese. And she must also understand him back. Being a devil is still full of surprises.

After an unexpected meeting with the young nun, Ryoto and Daimonji decided to use up their spare time and help her find a way around Kuoh Town.

Ryoto: "So... are you here like a tourist?"

Blondie: "Oh no, not at all. As a matter of fact, I was just assigned to serve a church in this town."

Ryoto: "Right. Although that seems like one heck of a coincidence. Specifically in THIS town."

Blondie: *blushing* "I'm so glad I ran into someone kind like you. I guess someone is looking out for me, huh."

Ryoto: "Heheh... well, happy to be of service."

The moment was a bit ruined when Ryoto caught the glimpse of her rosary and could feel himself growing uncomfortable. As a devil, he should be.

Blondie: "Is everything okay?"

Ryoto: "Don't worry, just an afterthought." 'Man. Just looking at that cross is making me want to back up.'

Then they hear crying. It's a little boy, who scraped his knee at a playground. She immediately runs over to the boy and tries to comfort him.

Blondie: *gently* "A big boy like you shouldn't cry over a scrape. Don't worry, you're gonna be fine."

And then, as she put her hands over the boy's knee, something unexpected happened. Her hands started to glow in green light, as two silver rings showed up on each of her hand. The scrape was instantly being healed. Both Ryoto and Daimonji could only look on in amazement.

Ryoto: 'Wow. She's some kind of magic healer.'

But while witnessing this, Ryoto's right arm suddenly tensed up. And even his pendant once again glew, this time in green light.

Ryoto: 'Is her power reacting... with my Sacred Gear?'

Blondie: *smiling* "See? There's no reason for you to cry at all. You're just fine."

Boy: "Thank you, nice lady."

Maybe he couldn't understand her, but the boy knew her intentions. Afterwords, the boy hurried back to his mom. But she didn't seem entirely comfortable looking at her. Rude much? But she just snapped back to reality and came back to Ryoto's side.

Blondie: *silly smile* "All done now. Sorry."

Ryoto: *smiling* 'Such a pure and kind heart...'

They just continued across town, Ryoto still in deep thought about what kind of power she just displayed. Even Daimonji was looking over curious.

Ryoto: 'My hand just pulsed out of nowhere. Her power has to be similar to mine.'

Blondie: "You must be surprised."

Ryoto: "Huh? A-Actually, not all that much. But I gotta admit, that's some very impressive ability."

Blondie: "Thanks. I consider it to be a gift. And a blessing." *downcast* "Truly... it's wonderful..."

Ryoto: *worried* 'Oh snap, I know that look in the eyes too well...'

Blondie: "Oh, there it is."

After a bit of walking, they arrived at the district of Kuoh town ascending on a hill. On the very top, was a kind of run-down church.

Ryoto: "Huh. I guess that's the only church at least I know about."

Blondie: "Thank goodness I found it. That's a relief."

And now, another wave of fear washes over Ryoto just by looking at the church.

Ryoto: "Um, you know... I actually never seen anyone go up there. Not sure if it's already out of service."

Blondie: "Let me thank you properly. Would it be a problem for you to come inside with me?"

Ryoto: *panicking* "Uh, sorry but I can't. I still have to get to school for the day." 'I need to stay away from it...'

Blondie: *sad* "Oh, that's okay." *recovered* "Guess I should go too. It was sweet of you to help me find my way. My name's Asia Argento."

Ryoto: "Pleasure to meet you Asia. I'm Ryoto Akanishi. But friends just call me Ryo. And this little guy's Daimonji."

Daimonji: *waving* "rrraawwaaargghhh"

Ryoto: "He says that you're very welcome."

Asia: "Ryoto and Daimonji, huh? Well, uh... so... meeting you here was a blessing. And I know for sure it's one I won't forget. I hope we see each other again."

Ryoto: "Uh-huh, sure. Only time can tell."

Asia: "If you're ever bored or in the neighborhood, come by and visit me at the church. That's where I'll be."

Ryoto: "Uh, sure... sounds like a plan. Well, see ya. Have a good one."

Asia: "Thanks. You have a good one too." *waving*

Ryoto: *waving back* 'She's got to be the nicest girl I've ever met. Even if she's with the church, I really hope we can meet again.'

[10 Minutes Later]

(Furumai POV)

Just another boring day with some kind of twist just waiting to happen. I wonder how Ryoto's faring as a devil. And as if on que, he and Daimonji come strolling in - with a very satisfied smile. Huh... something good must've happened.

Furumai: "Yo, Ryo. You seem in a high-note spirit."

Ryoto: "Hey, man. Glad to see you after a while."

Furumai: 'Really? Because we were together just yesterday... never mind.' "I heard you've already made your first pact. And Yuuto told me you awakened your Sacred Gear."

Ryoto: "Yup. A whole slew of things happened yesterday."

Furumai: "I expect to hear about it later."

Ryoto: "Gotcha."

That's weird. Once I asked him about his devil gig, his cheery smile kind of disappeared. Hope he's not under too much pressure.

[Afternoon]

(3rd POV)

Rias: "You must never go near the church ever again, Ryoto."

Once Rias found out Ryoto made a contact with the nun, she wasn't exactly pleased.

Ryoto: "Why? She didn't pose any danger."

Rias: "It's not about her, it's about where she is. For devils like us, the church is enemy territory. Simply setting foot inside would create major problems for both angels and devils. Surely you could sense that something was telling you to be careful."

Ryoto: "Oh yeah. When I just looked at the church, I could feel as if my nerves turned to stone."

Rias: "That was your devil instinct telling you danger was near. Being in close proximity to someone from the church is a very risky proposition. Also, what's even more dangerous, is that some of the exorcists affiliated with the church use Sacred Gears. They could really hurt you."

Ryoto: *frowning* 'So it was a Sacred Gear, afterall. But surely not all are for causing harm - like Asia's...'

Rias: "Ryoto?"

Ryoto: "I'm listening."

Rias: "Just know that if a devil receives a devil purge, it's utterly annihilated. Null. The end of the line. They can feel nothing. They're gone forever. You can never come back from that. Do you understand?"

Ryoto: *downcast* "Yeah, I understand." 'Man. It feels so restraining to be a devil. Such things that can happen.'

Once again, Ryoto feels very doubtful about being a devil. But is brought back to senses when Rias lightly embrasses him.

Rias: *gently* "I'm sorry. I've gotten too worked up. I'm just asking you to be more careful. That's all."

[Later]

Ryoto is currently riding his bike on his way to a new client that Murosawa told him about. Some kind of professor from the private history university in Osaka.

Ryoto: "Hope this guy isn't such a nutcase like him, since they seem like acquaintances."

Once he made it to the address, which was actually an impressively large and expensive complex, someone is already waiting in front of the gate.

???: "Ah, you must be that young devil. Welcome. I've been expecting your arrival."

Surprisingly, the guy seems normal. He's got dark green slicked back hair connected to a small goatee and indigo framed glasses over his hazel brown eyes. He's wearing a dark blue suit waistcoat with lime green acsents over a light grey dress shirt, darker pants, army boots and a slate black tailcoat jacket laced with bronze buttons. He seemed like both a professor and an explorer.

Ryoto: *bowing* "Good evening. So, are you professor Akairo Sanshō̄o?"

Prof. Sanshō̄o: "Yes indeed, my young lad. I lead historian expeditions all across Japan curtosy of Osaka's Private History University. Your previous client and I attended the same high school, so we sometimes stay in touch."

Ryoto: "Uh-huh. No offense, but I kind of found it weird that someone like him would have connections to a university professor."

Prof. Sanshō̄o: "Touché. But I think our meeting was not a coincidence. Nice to meet you face-to-face. As a guardian, that is..."

Ryoto: *shocked* "What!?"

He doesn't answer further, just pulls out some kind of amber-coloured stone ore and it starts glowing. Ryoto looks down and his amulet is also glowing in it's signature golden light. That's all the answer Ryoto needed to still have his mind stay still. Professor just gives him a reassuring smile.

Prof. Sanshō̄o: "Yes indeed... we have much to talk about."

[Evening]

During a sunset, Ryoto was busy finishing his schoolwork in the ORC clubroom, while Daimonji is napping next to him on the couch.

Ryoto: "Unbelievable. I ran into a guardian researcher. Right in this town. Hopefully he can help me uncover what remains of our clan. *sigh* And it seems Rias is looking out for me a bit too much. I can't even seem to have any privacy anymore." 'Sorry Asia, looks like I can't keep our promise...'

Akeno: "She's not pissed off if that's what your thinking. She's just worried about you, silly boy."

Ryoto: *startled* "Gah! Where tha heck d'ya come from?"

Rias: *walking in* "You're still here? I thought you had gone home for the day."

Akeno: "We've just received a message from the Archduke."

Rias: *surprised* "The Archduke?"

Akeno: *frowning* "It's urgent. A stray devil has been causing a trouble nearby."

Ryoto: 'Stray? Isn't that what Dohnaseek thought of me?'

With a surprise new mission, everyone from Rias' team (except Daimonji and Issei) are transported into the forest at the town outskirts, in front of an abandoned run-down mansion.

Ryoto: "So, stray devils start off as devil servants like us?"

Yuuto: "No, not exactly. Once in a while, the servant rebels and kills their master to gain freedom. Then they become strays."

Akeno: "According to the reports, this stray has been tricking people into that abandoned house... and eating them."

Ryoto: *cringing* "Eww... messy predator vibes."

Akeno: "Tonight's job shouldn't be too hard. Just find the beast and kill it."

Yuuto: "These monsters are pure evil. They don't care about anything but their own selfish desires. And that always ends in ugliness."

They cautiously enter the building. Everyone was on high alert. Something malicious is definitely in here.

Ryoto: "I just hope I have strong enough stomach for whatever might pop up."

Rias: "Ryoto. Are you familiar with the game of chess?"

Ryoto: "Um, yes in fact. My dad taught me all the rules, but I never had a clean victory. Even against Sōna, when we played several times."

Akeno: "It takes quite some guts to play against someone as skilled as Sōna."

Rias: "Agreed. Anyway, as the master, I'm the King. My empress is the Queen. My cavalier, the Knight, my tank, the Rook, my clergyman, the Bishop and my footsoldier, the Pawn. Devils with titles and nobility grant the characteristics of these pieces to each one of their servants."

Ryoto: "Oh yeah. I remember something like that."

Rias: "We have a special name for them. We call them our Evil Pieces."

Ryoto: "Sorry to ask like this, but what does it have to do with now? And why isn't Issei with us?"

Rias: "He had his business to take care of. Now. I want you to watch and learn. Pay close attention to my devils as they do battle here tonight."

Koneko: "It's here."

Ryoto senses a very scary aura that makes his brain sting from pressure. His pendant once again glows, this time in a dull grey light.

???: "Now what could that foul, feagle smell be~. Mmmm... something smells quite delicious as well~. I wonder if it tastes sweet... or bitter~."

At that, something appeared from behind the pillar. But unexpectedly, it's a naked woman, with glossy grey eyes and long black hair.

Ryoto: *stonefaced* 'I'm starting to sense a pattern...'

Rias: "Visor, you wretch. You betrayed your master and ran away to fullfil the lustful wants and desires that have consumed you. Your sins are worthy of a thousand hells. In the name of the great Duke of Gremory, begone! Or meet your death!"

Visor: "Oh, just give it a rest you little slut. You always have had it in for me. You're just jealous cause your breasts will never be as luscious as these~."

Just to make her point even more uncomfortable, Visor starts groping herself. Ryoto is outright shocked how everyone isn't even fazed.

Ryoto: *flustered* "Just what the hell is happening anymore!?" *turning away* "Oh God- *zap* Ow! I mean - Oh Satan..."

Rias: "This is your final warning! Go back to your master, now!"

Visor: "Let me show you what I'm made of, then."

At that, Visor lets her lower body be shown - and it's horrifying! Instead of legs, she's got the lower body of some kind of black-furred beast, with snake in place of a tail and even bigger hands with sharp red claws.

Ryoto: *scared* "WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!?"

Yuuto: "Do you see what I mean? When I said it ends in ugliness, I wasn't joking."

Ryoto: *stonefaced* 'There's still a big difference between just ugliness and total monstrosity, pal...'

And after groping herself enough, Visor fires some kind acid... out of her nipples. It was up to Rias to move Ryoto out of the way, since he was too disturbed by the sight.

Ryoto: *mentally scarred* "How... is this even a thing?..."

Rias: "Please be careful. Yuuto!"

On command, Yuuto grabbed the sword from the hilt on his belt and just vanished.

Ryoto: "Where did he go?"

Rias: *standing up* "He isn't gone. He's just moving fast. In this game, he's my Knight. His attribute is speed. And his ultimate attack weapon is his sword."

Sure enough, Yuuto slashed away Visor's overgrown arms in a blink of an eye. As the situation was starting to get under control, Ryoto observed the action.

Visor screamed in pain to have her arms cut off, but Koneko just casually walked up to her. As if not caring to be squashed.

Ryoto: "Koneko! What're you doing!?"

Too late. Visor's face just got uglier and a massive jaw opened up on her abdomen, consuming Koneko. Ryoto was frozen in place by that stunt.

Rias: *smirking* "It's alright."

Ryoto: "Huh!?"

She wasn't kidding. Koneko effortlessly opens up Visor's jaw, with just her clothes being a bit shredded.

Rias: "In the game, she's my Rook. Her attribute is simple - she has an unparalleled strength. That won't even put a dent in her."

Koneko: "See you on the flip side."

With just one strike, Koneko breaks her massive fangs and sends her flying through another pillar.

Ryoto: *shivering* 'Mental note: make sure to stay on her good side.'

Rias: "Akeno?"

Akeno: *smiling* "Oh, is it my turn? How exciting. I SO love this game. *giggle*"

But unknown to anyone, one of Visor's cut off arms lunges at Rias from behind. Ryoto is the first to alarm her and quickly acts on it as well.

Ryoto: "Rias, watch out! DEPLOY!"

In the blink of an eye, Ryoto summons his red gauntlet and punches the hand away just mere inches before it reached Rias.

Ryoto: "Phew... talk about a miss by the hair. Ya okay, Rias?"

Rias: *standing up* "Yes. Thanks for that, Ryoto. Akeno! Finish her off, please."

Akeno: "I've got news for you. You're not the only one who loves to play rough here. So let's you and I have some fun."

With that, Akeno starts generating her lightning magic.

Rias: "Akeno is my Queen. Her attributes are a perfect combo of all the other pieces. She's simply unbeatable."

Akeno: *smiling* "Tough girl. Not ready to give up yet? Goodie. I get to play some more!"

With Visor crippled on the floor, Akeno unleashes a massive dose of lightning magic, zapping Visor into submission with no remorse.

Rias: "Her weapon is a dark magical power. And that's not all-"

Akeno: *blushing* "This violence... is making me so hot~! *licking*"

Rias: "-She's really into S 'n M."

Akeno: *moaning* "Is this as good for you as it is for me~? Ohhh~"

Ryoto: *disbelieved* "Wait... you mean this... turns her on?" 'Okay... now I get what was so scary about Akeno's presence when we first met... but still, just... damn...'

Rias: "Akeno? I think she's had enough."

Akeno finally stops zapping Visor, leaving her barely alive, looking like a searing pile of coal.

Akeno: "Aww... over already?" *blushing* "I was just starting to enjoy myself~."

Ryoto: 'Scary and sexy at the same time...'

Now it only leaves Rias to finish the job. She slowly walks over to barely concious Visor.

Rias: "Any last words before we finish this?"

Visor: *weakly* "...Go to hell..."

Rias: "Alright. How about we get it over with, then?"

Rias summons an ability glyph and unleashes her signature destruction spell for the finishing blow.

Rias: "...Checkmate."

The blackened flames engulf Visor and end up leaving absolutely nothing behind. Ryoto is amazed at how skillfully they handled the extermination.

Rias: "We're done here. Come on. Let's go home."

Akeno/Yuuto/Koneko: "Sounds good to me."

Ryoto: "That was the most action I've seen in days. I'm impressed."

Rias: *smiling* "That's good to hear."

Ryoto: "By the way, if I may ask. Just on how I fit into the team. What evil piece am I? A Knight? Or a Rook?"

Rias: "...You're a Pawn."

Ryoto: *flinching* "...Excuse me?"

Rias: "That's what you've been chosen as. A Pawn."

Ryoto: *salty* 'Great... so I'm just a footsoldier... all the excitement is now gone... Son'ova bitch!'

High School DxD NEO

While the night is still young after the extermination, Ryoto is summoned for one more pact. However, he still feels very salty after finding out his position of a Pawn.

Ryoto: *salty* 'So, if I'm to be recognized, I have to move in rank. It's a lot of pressure considering I'm a reborn instead of pure blood like Rias. *sigh* I really wish I could go back to normal life. Ever since then, it feels like everything I do lands me in trouble.'

(FLASHBACK)

Rias: "Koneko is overloaded with summoning requests this evening. Can I ask you to handle one of them for her?"

Ryoto: *weakly* "Yeah, alright..."

That was a very apathetic response. Rias quickly glanced at Ryoto, but he was already heading out. Even Daimonji, while held in Koneko's arms, had a very worried look regarding his partner.

Rias: *worried* 'Ryoto... are you considering... leaving?'

(FLASHBACK END)

After arriving at the address, Ryoto tries to call out and enter via a short range teleportation. But nobody's answering.

Ryoto: "Hello! Devil of the Gremory house is here! Anyone can hear me?"

Once he steps further into the house, something makes him freeze in place. The same he felt when he looked at the church.

Ryoto: *tensing up* "That atmosphere again... If anyone's here, at least answer, please! I'm coming inside!"

The living room was very dimly lit, but that's not the thing that worries Ryoto...

Ryoto: *cringing* "Oh, eww... where is this awful stench coming from? Did their toilet get clugged up or what?"

And then he steps onto something wet. There's a dark red liquid splattered across the floor. Ryoto inspects it closer. It's where the smell is coming from. He starts panicking that it's blood. But the worst was directly before him. Where the blood was oozing from, he could see a human corpse, completely mutilated beyond recognition. Ryoto tries his best not to vomit at the horrible sight.

Ryoto: *horrified* "W-Wha-What... ta shit... h-happened 'ere?..."

???: "Punish the wicked. Words to live by."

The sudden voice snaps Ryoto back to reality. There's a man sitting on the couch.

???: "Yes. Wise advice to heed from a holy man. Heheheeeh..."

He turns to Ryoto with the creepiest snake smile he ever saw. The man had nape-long silver hair, piercing red eyes and he wore a very strange tunic, almost looking like... like a priest! Ryoto backs up a bit in fear, while the man calmly stands up and faces him.

???: *snickering* "Well, well. You just walked into the wrong house, my friend." *bowing* "Freed Selzen here. At your service."

The creep now known as Freed starts talking to Ryoto in a very mocking manner.

Freed: "And you must be the scared little pussy who's devil ass this holy priest is gonna exercise."

Ryoto: *baffled* "You? A priest? With that kind of messed up attitude?"

Freed: *grinning* "Yup. And no judging, brother. I work for a certain devil purging organization you may have heard of."

Ryoto: *pointing* "So are YOU responsible for this!? Why did you kill him, you sicko!?"

Freed: "Summoning you was prove he's done being a human. End of the line, sinner! ...So I had to chop him up into little bitty pieces..."

Ryoto didn't like this guy's attitude one bit. And to make matters worse, he's prepared to attack. Weilding a pistol and some kind of light sword.

Freed: "Putting down degenerate devils and the lost souls that would cry out to them is my job. And no one is better at it then me."

Ryoto: *scared* "Seriously!? This time a light sword!?"

Freed: *grinning* "First, I'm gonna cut out your evil heart with my heavenly blade of light. Then, with my righteous gun, I'm gonna blow a hole in your wicked demon face! How does that sound, devil!? RAH!"

This so-called "priest" is an absolute lunatic. After lunging ahead, Ryoto had to think fast. Thankfully, with his experience with the light weapons from past few days, he was able to easily dodge.

Freed: *firing gun* "KA-BLAM!"

Freed was much more experienced than Ryoto expected, resolting in him being shot in the left thigh. But they hurt much more than normal ones.

Ryoto: *tensing* 'Son'ova... that hurts... Just how strong are those bullets?...'

Freed: *reloading* "These bullets have been blessed by an exorcist. Hope they taste good, scumbag!"

Ryoto: "Hhrrrr... YOU'RE a scumbag! DEPLOY!"

With no time to think of anything else, Ryoto quickly deploys his Sacred Gear. Hopefully it's strong enough to repel light. However, Freed doesn't seem concerned at all.

Freed: *mocking* "Ooh. Is the devil aaangry? Maybe it's time for Freed Selzen to send you back into the abyss from which you came!"

Ryoto: 'It's do-or-die...' *charging* "RAAAWW!"

Freed: *dodging* "Too slow!"

With light draining at his energy, Ryoto couldn't strike Freed sooner and got swatted away by being slashed in the back. Now, Ryoto is weakening even faster and completely at Freed's mercy.

Freed: "Get a guy all worked up and leave him half-cocked? That's no way for a lady to treat a gentleman like myself!"

Freed prepared for a finishing blow-

???: *scared* "KYAAAAAHH!"

-until someone screamed with an absolute terror. However, the voice sounded very familiar to Ryoto.

Freed: "What the hell? Asia, what're you doing here? Are you done creating a barrier already?"

Ryoto: *horrified* 'What?... Why's Asia here, too? Don't tell me...'

Asia didn't listen to Freed, since she was in a mad shock seeing the same mutilated human body.

Asia: *scared* "Don't... don't do this..."

Freed: *smirking* "Right, a newbie. Well, I guess it's time you learned. This is what the job is, my dear. We dispose of unfortunate people who have been bewitched by the evil devils."

Once Asia could somewhat process it and turned to see Freed's target, she was shocked to see it was actually Ryoto.

Asia: *disbelieved* "No... it can't be..."

Ryoto: "Asia. Wait, you..."

Freed: *confused* "What's going on? Do you two know each other?"

Asia: "Ryoto, why are you here?..."

Ryoto: *teeth-gritting* "Because... I've been summoned here... as a devil..."

Asia: "No... that can't be true..."

Ryoto: 'Damn it... why did I have to be reborn just to see such betrayed look...' "Asia, I promise I didn't want to lie to you. That's why I figured it would be best if we wouldn't meet ever again... for both of our sakes... I'm so sorry..."

Asia: *tearing up* "Oh heavens..."

Freed: "Not that this isn't heartwarming, but you and your friend here have no business being together. The fallen angels have expressly forbidden all forms of contact between our kind and their's. Have you forgotten that already?"

Ryoto: *angry* 'The fallen angels... them again... I swear I'll rip their wings one by one...'

Freed: "Now then. Shall we go ahead and do what we came here to do? Not that it matters much, but I hope you said your prayers!"

Freed was aiming his light sword towards Ryoto's neck for a clean slash. But before he could, to both of their surprise, Asia ran in front of Ryoto and tries to shield him. She was clearly still shaken from seeing Ryoto like this, as evidenced by her lightly tearing up.

Freed: *baffled* "You've got to be kidding me with this."

Asia: *shaking* "Please don't. I beg you for mercy. Forgive this man his sins, father. Couldn't we just let him go?"

Freed: "That thing isn't a man, it's a devil. You made a pledge to defeat our enemies."

Asia: "It doesn't matter to me what he is! There's goodness in him, I know it. You can't just kill him! How can you actually believe the Father would approve!?"

Ryoto: *moved* 'She's still willing to defend me...'

It seems all it did was get Freed even more pissed off.

Freed: *angry* "Nnaaaargh! Enough of this bullshit!"

Instead of slicing at Ryoto, Freed instead slashes Asia's clothes and bra open, entirely exposing her and making her vulnerable. This time, Ryoto wanted to act fast.

Ryoto: *standing up* "Don't you dare touch her!- Aaurgh..."

But because of the wounds from the light weapons, he can't even stand up. Whatever happens now, he's unable to stop it.

Freed: *angry* "You've lost your fucking mind! What!? Are there maggots growing inside that stupid head of yours!?"

In his anger, he forcefully pulled Asia in by her face, with her being scared beyond believe on what will happen now.

Ryoto: *flinching* "I said leave her alone, you scum!" 'Dammit, move!...'

Freed: *smirking* "Our fallen angel friend says I'm not supposed to hurt you. But I don't give a damn about that now. You know what happens to naughty girls, don't you?"

It seems Freed has completely lost whatever little patience he had and ended up pinning Asia to the wall by her sleaves with the sword. And to make it even worse, he starts to grope her and rub the gun against her legs, all the way up to her crotch.

Ryoto: *pissed off* 'No, he'll seriously try to molest her!? That's it!'

Freed: *cackling* "Why shouldn't an upstanding priest do what he wants with a filthy tramp like you, heheheh... That's not so wrong, is it!?"

Asia: *gasping* "Don't hurt me!"

Ryoto: "That's enough!"

Freed: *glancing* "Hm? Look boy. You want to watch this go down, you're gonna have to pay for it. Nothing is free."

Ryoto: *weakly standing* "You've gone far enough... so stop!"

Ryoto lets out his devil wings for intimidation. This time, his amulet starts glowing with it's signature golden light. But something strange starts happening to his wings...

Freed: "*whistle* Well, well. Think you can take me down?"

He finally let Asia go by pulling out the sword and getting ready to strike Ryoto once again.

Freed: *smirking* "Then come over here and show me what you've got!"

Asia: *weakly* "No! You don't have to do this!"

Ryoto: 'There's no way I can win after taking this much damage... but so what. She put her life on the line for me... now it's time I return the favor.' "You asked for it, you dirty jackass!"

With what little strength he had, Ryoto managed to outspeed Freed and land a strong blow to theface with his Sacred Gear. But it still wasn't enough.

Freed: *spitting blood* "...I'll admit, I'm impressed. What do you say we go for a new world record, devil scum? Let's see how many pieces of meat I can chop you into!"

And Freed went for another head-on strike. With wound damage still being really bad, Ryoto isn't able to dodge quickly. Even Asia's afraid it will be over for him. But just then, Ryoto's amulet starts to glow in red light again. It manages to stun Freed for a second. Then, the glyph shows up in front of Ryoto, pushing him back a little and someone jumps out of it. It was Yuuto, clashing swords with Freed at the moment's notice.

Ryoto: "What in the... Yuuto?"

Yuuto: *glancing* "Hey, Ryoto. Thought you could use a hand."

And of course, everyone else started coming out of the glyph. Akeno, then Issei and finally, Koneko.

Akeno: "Oh, this is gross. Talk about a nasty mess."

Issei: "Are we sure this isn't a disguised slaughter house?"

Koneko: "An exorcist..."

Ryoto: "Did you guys follow me?"

Freed: "Hell yeah! Now we've got ourselves a good old-fashioned gangbang!"

Yuuto: "You're done here. Sorry to disappoint, but he's one of us."

Freed: *smirking* "Oh, I'm far from disappointed. Trust me. So what's the deal? You're the pitcher and he's the catcher?"

Issei: "Wowza. For a priest, that's quite a sharp tongue you got there."

Yuuto: "I'll say."

Freed: "And what are you two? The impiety police? Get off your high-horse, douchebags! Hunting your kind is my only concern. So stop preaching and let's get to it!"

Akeno: *smiling slyly* "My, my~. This guy certainly is a piece of work."

Freed: *squirming* "And you my dear are a hot piece of ass. Ohh~, those eyes are killing me! Ahaha! There's nothing I lust more after than a sexy devil bitch!"

Ryoto: *stonefaced* 'How the hell does this guy give off even more wrong signals?'

Before anyone could say anything, Rias finally arrived to straighten' things up.

Rias: "If you want it, come and get some."

Freed is in a blink of an eye blasted by Rias' destruction magic. And she doesn't look pleased.

Rias: "But I really don't think you could handle it. Nobody hurts one of my servants."

Freed: *smirking* "Well. Look who finally showed their tits. Don't get ahead of yourself though, cause I'm pretty sure I just hurt him!"

Rias: *turns to Ryoto* "It's alright. I'm here."

Ryoto: "This was the most unfortunate summon ever. And after screwing up so much in just few days... I'm not fit for a devil..."

Rias: *tilting his face* "Look at how hurt you are, Ryoto. I'm the one who screwed up. I sent you into the hands of an exorcist and I had no idea. There was a barrier in place here until a moment ago, so we didn't even realise."

Freed: *angry* "You were supposed to make a barrier! You bitch! Die!"

Freed started to repeatedly kick Asia. It seems she was responsible for the barrier, but after she got involved between Ryoto and Freed, she must've lost all focus.

Ryoto: *peeved* "Hey! I told you to leave her alone!"

Rias: *standing up* "I never forgive people who tried to do harm to one of my servants. Nor do I forgive those who pick on the weak." *glaring* "And I especially don't tolerate insidious wretches like you. Your terrible evil has no place in this world. That's why I'm here to purge it!"

Rias starts glowing, definitely attempting to blast Freed into submission.

Freed: *backing up* "Well shit. Big red over there could be a problem. I may need some backup."

And it seems it got arranged pretty fast, because Koneko, while preparing to throw a cabinet, smelled something in the air. And Ryoto could feel a freezing aura approaching.

Koneko: "The fallen angels are here."

Freed: *laughing* "Just in the nick of time, too! Hope you're hungry, cause light spears are on the menu!"

As a portal began to appear over Freed, the Gremory team had to think fast.

Akeno: "So what's the plan?"

Rias: "Right now, we just need to get Ryoto out of here. Akeno, prepare the jump."

Akeno: "'Kay."

Now that the Gremory portal was prepared, Rias turned to Ryoto. But to her surprise, he didn't seem afraid at all. Normally, Ryoto would be hesitating. But after what happened to Asia, he was more than ready to battle fallen angels. Even while injured. Thanks to his natural guardian physique and his magic amulet, he's already regenerated enough.

Ryoto: *standing up* "Well bring it. Cause I'm taking it all in packaging! I'm not afraid of you, nor those fallen rejects anymore!"

Freed: *groaning* "Ugh. Your hero preaching's starting to annoy me. You think you can fight like that, punk?"

Ryoto: *smirking* "Bitch, did I stutter!?"

Rias: "Ryoto, what are you thinking? You're still hurt."

Ryoto: "Not so much anymore. I'm a guardian, remember?" *neck-cracking* "That means I can still take them down. I'm not leaving without Asia!"

Asia: *moved* "Ryoto..."

Ryoto was about to lunge head first at Freed, who also charged ahead. But was stopped by Issei pulling Ryoto back and swiping with a red energy shot, along with Koneko throwing the cabinet, knocking out Freed.

Issei: "Are you mad, kid!? You can't just expect to defeat a whole army of fallen angels just because you think you can. You'll get yourself killed!"

Ryoto: *struggling* "It's worth it if I can save an innocent life!"

Rias: "No, not like this. Even if, only members of my household can jump with this magic circle. Sorry, but it wouldn't work."

Ryoto: "So!? There's always another way!"

Rias: "Ryoto! I need you to listen!-"

Ryoto: "I don't care if she's also considered an enemy!"

Rias: "Ryoto!"

Ryoto: "She risked her life for me, so now it's my turn! I'm a guardian, for crying out loud!-"

Issei could barely hold on to him. Before he could run right into death's open arms, Rias suddenly slapped him... and it seemed to snap Ryoto back to his senses a bit. Everyone was kind of taken aback on how Ryoto's spazing was enough for Rias to lose her cool. But she was still trembling, indicading that she didn't wish to do that.

Rias: *worried* "You can't take so many risks! You promised you would be cautious and I promised I would protect you! The fallen angels will kill everyone at this rate! So please, listen to me!"

Asia: *weakly* "Ryoto... go without me... please go... I'll see you soon... trust me, I will... and thank you."

At Asia's heartfell words, Ryoto fell completely quiet. He pried himself from Issei's hold and was the first to step into the circle. With his hair shadowing his eyes, everyone could tell he was hurting. Everyone just silently stood on the circle and were being teleported away.

Ryoto: *mourning* "Asia... I swear I'll save you... but not as a devil..."

Uh-oh... looks like something just got ignited in Ryoto. He made a new friend and they're immediately pulled apart.

Honestly, I too am getting quite anxious on what's going on. I tried to write with a sense of immersion. Hopefully I did a good job.

Also, introducing a brand new character in Prof. Akairo Sanshō̄o. I created him as a means of some kind of outside connection towards guardians. And yes, even his character will be expanded upon.

Next time, be ready for a falling out.
