She-Hulk replied, "Wore him out. Didn't know what he did, but he gave me a run for my money. The gold is all there, I believe as he wanted to fight me first. Take him out of my sight, and oh, I believe he's an escaped prisoner from a U.S. Island territory around Latin America. Says he calls himself Bane but doubt it that it's his real name.", shoving Bane to a group of officers.

The captain officer nodded, "Got it. Thank you.", and She-Hulk glanced at James who winked at her that he will see to Bane and all, and She-Hulk then bounded off, barely holding back her excitement and joy as she made it to an alley, ducking into a secret entrance after checking the coast, and ran with full speed, glad that the tunnel system is practically known by all the family like the back of their hands without needing a map.

She ignored all the lingering pain of the fight as she was focused on hugging and reuniting with Carrie, using shortcuts and all to make it to the Wayne grounds, knowing that Jane is watching her tracker, and heard Jane on the comms, "The grounds tunnel is clear, the manor is safe.".

She-Hulk came out like a meerkat, looking around, and she heard an exclamation over the comms, "Sweet mercy!", as she saw her daughter suddenly appear out of nowhere like she was invisible, caressing and holding the reins of a beautiful white winged horse, coming to She-Hulk with a tentative smile, "Is there room for my horse and chariot?".

She-Hulk replied, "Yeah, we got plenty of room. Come on. Even with Dad's rules, I don't trust drones.", and Carrie looked a bit confused, yet she nodded, guiding her horse, coming through the tunnel, and She-Hulk ducked back after the tunnel door closed up with camouflaged rocks and grass and such.

She heard Jane on the comms, "Okay, you're in the clear.", and She-Hulk shifted down to Poppy, walking to Carrie closer, and indeed, under the few tunnel lights and the gleaming chariot, Poppy teared up as she can see that her daughter got her auburn shade of the highlights into her whole hair, seeing that Carrie got Waylon's dimples and chin, while having Poppy's nose, smile, and her height is a mix between Poppy and Waylon. She figured that the tanned skin, the forehead, and the light green eyes were from Carrie's other parents.

"You look a lot like your father and me...You've become a beautiful young woman...", Poppy whispered in awe and happiness, "Have you turned 18 a few days ago? Wait, how did you know that I was in trouble back there?".

"As I said, it's a long story...", Carrie sighed. "But for starters, I'm an orphan, I was orphaned when I was about six years old.".

"I'm sorry...", Poppy shook her head. "When I let you choose to find someone else after the miscarriage...". Carrie nodded softly, "I know. I, um, well, I'll get to that eventually, but I know that I was supposed to be born to you and Father but the accident; four of my brothers and I chose new families to be born into while the last one stayed though was not your child, but rather your brother's.".

Poppy made a small smile, "My heart warmed up when Damien chose to be the closest related to me by choosing Bruce and Selina, and I couldn't take it back for anything as he was happy all around. And as for Dick, it was a close call as I couldn't want him to grieve like that as his chosen parents are fine, good people, and as for Tim and Jason, I am proud for them to have two such strong women as lesbian wives to raise them...But I hate that I wasn't there to stop whatever happened to your parents...I wanted you to be happy...", looking down a bit.

Kel should have said something if she saw it happen from heaven, yet for some reason, she didn't know, like if the accident to cause Carrie to be orphaned was hidden from her sight.

"I know... but I still found happiness with my new family...", Carrie chuckled as she took a deep breath. "It's quite a story-".

"Carrie!", Waylon's voice could be heard as Poppy easily guessed that Jane just had to say something to him. She probably also was checking on how Barbara was doing which in all the excitement, Poppy almost forgot.

Carrie's Pegasus whickered nervously yet didn't rear out of fear or anything as Carrie spoke in a beautiful, yet ancient language to calm the Pegasus down as Waylon appeared, running before he realized that he's looking big and slowed down, and sheepishly replied, "I apologize for that...I am just so excited and happy...It was one thing reuniting with Tim and Jason, and another thing with Dick, but with you being the only girl of the brood, next to Daphne of the twins, that is, but you have no idea how your mother dreamed of this day so long...".

"Your apology is accepted. And thank you for explaining. All the Pegasi and horses has been so used to seeing women every day, as my beloved girl Zenais here has shown just now. Hello, Father...I knew man was forbidden, but once in a while, thanks to storms and such, they come in, and they come out with no memories of home then, or if they are...I apologize to be blunt here, but if they're vulgar and dangerous, they get killed. The good ones are let go, at least.", Carrie explained.

Both Poppy and Waylon looked at each other before looking back at Carrie. "Carrie, where exactly are you from... now at least, the outfit, the Pegasus...", Poppy questioned.

"Mother, if it's alright with you, I would like to explain this to our whole family; that is, you and Father, and my siblings.", Carrie requested. "What about your grandparents? Or your aunt and uncle?", Waylon asked.

Carrie hummed softly, "I suppose they would hear from you two via word of mouth, but I want you two first, along with my siblings, and yes, including the twins too, as they're related to me too...That is, if that is okay with you...Do you have a place to store the chariot, and a warm spot for Zenais? She indeed has come a long way as we had to stop several times over the past few days since my 18th birthday.".

Poppy and Waylon looked again at each other, and Poppy replied, "Well, I suppose Mama wouldn't mind if Zenais uses the old nest bedroom to settle down and rest, and I will see if we can sneak into some hay and grain for her, though we have a waterhole down a way of apiece, and as for the chariot, there's a good spot for it besides the other vehicles in the Batcave.", as they kept walking on. "Oh, Wally, how's Barb doing?".

Waylon replied, "She's still in the slow progress of dilation, though she's getting closer steadily, since it's making sense that she's a first-time mother, and the little one is just relaxing, looking fine, according to Dad in his latest checkup. Little Jackson is in the care of Pamela outside the room, so Victor can be there together with Nora for Barbara.".

Poppy exhaled with a smile, "That's good.", looking to Carrie, "My best friend is having her baby. You certainly came upon an exciting day.".

"I know, that's what the Oracle told me.", Carrie said as the two of them stopped for a moment. "Not the ones you know; like I said, just let me explain and it'll all make sense.", she blushed as Waylon took a deep breath, "I'd very much like to hear this before my brain has a meltdown...".

Poppy chuckled and patted Waylon on the arm, "Easy, Wally. We're almost home to the Batcave, we'll settle Zenais and the chariot, and head upstairs to the manor. Good thing there's plenty of sitting rooms and such.".

Carrie giggled, watching her parents interact, awed to see real true love between a normal couple if surreal couple like them, and hoped that they accept her girlfriend.

It was a few minutes later before the rest of the family was gathered; Selina obviously had been passing the word on to the rest of the family in regard to Carrie's appearance; though Carrie's message of wanting to speak to her close family first was understood once it passed along. Obviously, it was also Barbara's special day with her own child, and everyone wanted to give their support to her too so at least those not in attendance to Carrie's meeting would have something to do.

After a few tight hugs from her lost siblings, everyone was sitting in one of the foyers as Carrie was at the center of attention, taking a deep breath.

"Okay, so I'll be the first to say this...", Dick spoke up. "What's with the toga and sword?". Carrie chuckled, "The typical outfit of an Amazonian daughter of Themyscira. Well, maybe a little more of a war uniform than a day-to-day wear. I knew to expect danger so obviously; I made sure to come prepared.".

Damien widened his eyes, "Wait, so, you're a warrior woman?! That's freaking awesome!", and Carrie smiled, "Why, thank you, Damien. It's a good thing that I try to catch up with culture idioms and such since I remember some things when I was six...My former chosen parents were educated and cultured as they liked to travel...".

Daphne asked, "What happened-", as Sean then asked, "to them if we may ask?", and Carrie exhaled deeply, "You really helped, Mother...My former chosen parents, I was born to them in England, on the same day as most of you, dear siblings. Dad's name was Daniel, and Mum's name was Rachel...They really loved me...Dad was a funny yet not easy to prank guy, he was scarily good at it, ironically...Mum, she was a sweet one, but if she was seeing something wrong, she would give them a really good talking to. She believed in women's rights, and Dad supported her...Since I turned 5, I was then able to choose places for vacation time, and I had fun learning and all...Then soon after I turned 6, I chose Greece as one of the places we'd go per month of the summer...We were in a plane over the sea upon traveling to the next chosen place which was Egypt.".

Carrie then took a deep breath, "Of course, something happened. A bird strike perhaps, but either way, the plane violently fell from the sky in the Mediterranean.". She closed her eyes, "Everyone on board was killed, including Mum and Dad. I should've died too... if not for my new Mom and sister, Diana.", already starting her story.

(Start of Carrie's story)

The water flowed gently onto the shores of Themyscira, as it had centuries upon centuries; the hidden paradise from the world of men was at peace. A perfect chance for Themyscira ruler, Hippolyta, queen of the Amazons, and her only daughter, Diana, to enjoy some family bonding with each other as they rode their horses along the sands.

Hippolyta smiled at her daughter, "You are certainly better now than you were in horse racing, dear daughter, but you have not seen this!", having her black hair in a ponytail, her dark tan skin flawless, her light blue eyes sharp and playful, wearing dark gold earrings, a white Grecian toga shirt, a blue toga skirt, and barefoot, laughing as she and her daughter is racing each other, on Hippolyta's brown horse, and Diana's cream white horse respectively.

Diana is certainly her mother's daughter, for she has the same black hair and light blue eyes of mischief and wonder, with her hair loose and wavy, and her skin fairly tanned and flawless, and she's wearing a blue-sleeved/white Grecian toga shirt, a cream toga skirt, and also barefoot.

"I've ridden a horse through war, Mother! I can easily surpass whatever you have in store for me!", Diana chuckled as she followed her mother in their little impromptu race for a few minutes before they were slowing down and coming to a stop.

"You still have much to learn, Diana, even after your travels in the men's world.", Hippolyta said as they were then gently walking alongside their horses.

Diana gave a smile, "I know, Mother...Steve used to say that everybody doesn't know everything as they learn something new every day.", before her smile turned to a sad frown as she gazed outwards, and Hippolyta sighed softly as she gently caressed her daughter's arm, "I may not like all man, Diana, but Steven Trevor was certainly a good man, and a great hero. His advice certainly was sound. I know I've complained quite a lot of you and him having a night of intimate love, considering that many of the Amazons has found love in each other, but he clearly loved you, next to caring for you as much as you had of him. I'm only sorry that you haven't experienced being a mother for you'd understand why I am protective of you as much as I love you, dear daughter.".

"I know.", Diana nodded. "My place is now here once more, maybe in time I will yearn to return but for now, I'm happy being here again...", she smiled before her ears picked up something that she knew. "Wait... that sound...".

"What sou- wait, I hear it too...", Hippolyta confusedly asked before blinking and saying the last part with a frown. Diana replied, "That way, come on!", moving fast to hop back on her horse, and urged it to canter, "Hyah!", as Hippolyta did the same, following Diana, their horses running faster under their reins as the sound became louder and closer.

It wasn't quite the same sound Diana knew many years ago, as it wasn't a bomber plane, but the sound is still similar as they got closer, now seeing something falling under the protective and magical shields, and Hippolyta exclaimed, "By Hera! What is that?!".

"Plane!", Diana shouted before a moment later it exploded on the water nearby the shore. After a few moments, everything became deathly still once more.

"What... was that?", Hippolyta asked. "A plane, certainly something much more modern than when Steve first arrived. My guess, one of those newer private jets, not large ones carrying many people but smaller carrying more of the wealthy.", Diana explained.

"Well, either way, let Poseidon claim them, have them washed away from our shores and back to where men can find those lost; let families get hopefully some closure...", the queen sighed before the waves rolled in once more, and both Amazons caught their eyes on a drifting piece of fuselage, and a small figure on it.

Diana widened her eyes, "It's a child!", as she trotted her horse closer, and Hippolyta followed behind, glancing to see the rest of the destroyed plane being claimed by Poseidon, washing away from the shores by the currents, away to where men and women will find those lost and have closure, but yet this drifting piece has passed the reef side of the waves, and making it to their shores, actually their shore where they're on.

Hippolyta murmured, "A survivor...The gods must have foreseen this. Diana, be careful! That looks sharp like the cliff rocks!", watching Diana move her horse through the shallows, and jump from her horse to swim around the piece, expertly stroking and pushing the piece, watching the sharp jagged pieces carefully.

Diana's horse moved back to the shore, nickering and neighing, staying by Hippolyta's horse as she got off to help as Diana, and the piece with the small figure made it to the shallows, and she gasped in horror and shock, "By Hera, oh, my, a little girl! Is she breathing?", as the little girl looked like she survived hell, which is not too far off as that explosion was of fire and water.

"She's alive... By Hera, she's still alive!", Diana exclaimed. "The Gods must have shielded her; that sort of crash should've instantly killed any human on Gaia... but she survived...".

"Come, Diana, we must take her to the Healing Halls! I will not let this girl die if the Gods indeed protected her!", Hippolyta declared.

Diana nodded, and gently went to pick up the girl in her arms, the unconscious girl whimpering as she felt pain, and she replied, "Do not worry, little one, we got you.", and swiftly got over into sitting on her horse, and turned around to head back, and Hippolyta did the same, glancing to see the piece in the shallows seemingly taken by a force, heading back to go pass the reef border.

She prayed, "Poseidon, give the young one's parents mercy and a quick death, please. And may they be permitted to watch over their young daughter from the stars.", as she followed Diana, now rushing into full gallop.

It didn't take long for the two of them to return to the city, racing through on their mounts as word quickly spread about the mysterious explosion on the edge of their borders. The queen and princess soon arrived at the Healing Halls before racing their way in.

"Make way! This girl needs healing!", Hippolyta ordered as the healers quickly moved to assist. "What happened?", one asked as Diana sighed, "The men's flying machines, one of them crashed, creating a massive eruption like a small volcano; she was inside it, but she's just managed to survive.".
