Sam:
I called my boss to let them know I wasn't making it in today. There was no way I could focus on teaching today after last night. My alarm started blaring but all I could do was just lay there staring at the ceiling while last night words replayed in my head. I was so focused on last night that I didn't hear someone come in.
"Get your ass up! Nothing is going to happen to her. So stop wasting the day away!" Rachel hollered at me.
"Rach I love you and all but go home. Let me have my one day of misery and then I will get up and figure this out." I said.
"Nope not gonna happen. So either get up by yourself or I will send in the guys. Your choice."
I just laid there staring at her.
"No wonder why you and Paul are meant for each other. You both are a pain in my ass" I said with a smile on my face as I got up.
I walked out the door and headed for the kitchen. Of course my house was full of the entire pack. I rolled my eyes and headed for the coffee pot. Thankfully someone made a pot of coffee.
"I asked Sue about Charlie's old house in Forks and she said Lenox can stay there. Free of charge of course. I figured you planned on asking but was sidetracked last night. Also Jake called and said Bella is being discharged today." Seth said.
"Thank you Seth. I actually forgot about that. We need to plan a welcome home bonfire for them and invite Lenox down. She needs to be told tonight about the legends. Ladies can you all help with food?" I asked.
"Of course. We got this." They all said.
"Thank you. I'm gonna get dressed and head up to the hospital."
Lenox:
Bella vitals was doing really good for someone who almost died. I figured since she will be here everyday seeing Sarah, she could go home today. I knocked on her door before walking in.
"Good morning. How are you doing?" I asked.
As she is speaking, I start doing my normal morning checks. Once she has passed everything with flying colors, I decide to give her the good news.
"Everything looks great. So on that note, I'm discharging you today. I will still check on you daily when you come in to see Sarah but other than that you are good to go. Do you have any questions?"
"How often can I come to see Sarah?" Bella asked
"We have discussed it and we won't make you leave and come back numerous times throughout the day. You can come at 9 am but you have to leave by 6 pm."
"Oh thank you!"
I excuse myself to start the process of discharging Bella. About an hour later I walk back in with a wheelchair so she can go home.
"You ready to go home?" I ask
I was looking down when I said that and I didn't notice a certain the God like man seating in the chair. He startled me when he spoke.
"What time are you getting off today? I found a place for you to rent and we are having a homecoming bonfire tonight in Bella's honor." He said.
"I will be in and out all day today checking on Sarah. The hospital has my number so they can call me . Is the house in Forks?"
"It actually my fathers old house. My step-mother owns it now and she gave Sam the key today. It maybe 5 minutes from here." Bella says
"Oh please tell her I said thank you, but won't she need to do a credit check and all the things that comes along with renting out a house to a stranger?" I ask
"You saved her daughter Bella and grand baby Sarah that is all she needs to know about you. Also she said she will not be taking a penny from you on rent." Sam said.
"I can't stay there rent free. That is wrong and taking advantage of her kindness."
"You're not taking advantage of me. Bella and Sarah are family and we look after the ones who save them. Hi I'm Sue. Thank you for saving them. I'm not the only one who feels this way about you. Bella's dad, my husband, was the police chief here and this town is very thankful for you." Sue said.
"Its nice to meet you and if your sure then thank you! Well Bella you are good to go. I have the wheelchair waiting outside the door for you."
I opened the door to grab the wheelchair and then helped Bella into it. Once she was loaded up and headed home for a little bit I headed back into the hospital.
"Let me check on Sarah and I will meet you back here in a few minutes." I say to Sam
He nods his head at me and I turn around to head up to the NICU. I check in with the nurse who is with Sarah today. Everything is looking good. She gained 3 ounces already which is a miracle in itself. I tell her to call me something seems wrong. Once back in the lobby, I head on over to Sam.
"Would you like to ride with me or would you prefer to follow me?" he asks
"I can ride with you. Maybe we can get a bite to eat afterwards if thats okay?"
"I would never turn down a meal with you."
We climb in his truck and head on over to the house. Once we make it there he gets out to open up my door. We proceed on up the walk way into the house. He shows me around the house and tells me that everything has been updated. Thankfully the house has furniture in it. I will only need to buy the basics. I turn to ask Sam if he would like to go with me to buy everything but I run right into him. Once he grabs me and our eyes meet its like a bomb went off. Our lips collide into a fiery passion. He grabs me by waist and I wrap my legs around him as he pushes me up against the wall. I think I hear the door open but I don't care in this moment.
"Put my niece down!" Uncle Emmett growled.
