"So who are we meeting exactly?" Ash asked.
"She's a researcher in alternate worlds and parallel dimensions." Cynthia said as she led Ash and the group to a boat.
"So what's so special out here?" Rosa asked.
"The abyssal ruins. That's what she's researching isn't it." N realized.
"Very accurate N." Cynthia said.
"Cynthia good to see you've made it back in one piece, and brought friends?" A woman in a black and orange jumpsuit said.
"Munch!" A Munchlax exclaimed waving.
"Burnet this is Ash the champion of the Unova minor league that just happened, and a trainer I met with a few times while he traveled through Sinnoh." Cynthia explained.
"Hi, and these are my friends Rosa, Elliot and N." Ash said.
"Pi Pikachu!" Pikachu exclaimed, leaping onto Ash's shoulder.
"Of course buddy, and this is my partner Pikachu." Ash informed.
"It's nice to meet all of you. Ash are you here to join us today?" Burnet asked.
"Yeah, I guess I could, Cynthia said something about the Abyssal Ruins?" Ash asked.
"Yes, I've recorded some strange signals emanating from the lower levels of the ruins and asked Cynthia for her help." Burnet explained.
"But Cynthia's a champion, how much help is she with ancient ruins?" Rosa asked.
"Cynthia isn't just a champion, she's a legend and lore researcher herself." Ash said. "But I'm guessing the reason you recruited her and now me isn't because of what she can do outside of battle."
"No, the ruins are a ways off shore and underwater and I have Cynthia accompanying me for added protection getting down there." Burnet said.
"Good idea between her Garchomp and Milotic, and my Golett and Duosion, we should be able to get you there safely." Ash said.
"Glad you're on board Ash, let's get you suited up." Cynthia said, leading Ash to a small area below deck.
A short boat trip later
"Alright here we are." Burnet said, killing the engine. "You three should be able to monitor us from here, how's the suit feel Ash?"
"Weirdly, not the weirdest thing I've worn in Unova, are you sure this will be safe for down there?" Ash asked, walking out in a similar jumpsuit to what Burnet was wearing.
"Yes, we've made a few dives in them now, you'll be fine." Burnet said, handing him an micro aqua lung.
"Just stay close and don't start to panic and you'll be fine." Cynthia said.
Ash rolled backwards off the side of the boat with Cynthia and Burnett, diving towards the underwater ruins. He could see the castle like building in the distance, as well as a variety of water type Pokemon like Sharpedo and Jellicent swimming about, unbothered by the three humans presence.
"So Professor Burnet, you said there were strange signals coming from the ruins, what kind of signals?" Ash asked, keeping up with her and Cynthia.
"It's hard to explain. According to legend the king and his dragon once lived here." Burnet said.
"You mean Reshiram, Zekrom, or Kyurem?" Ash asked.
"I mean all of them in their original form." Burnet said. "And when the climax of the league occurred, it proved that legend true."
"When all three dragons were awake and active in the same spot." Ash remembered back to the fight.
"Precisely, now I believe that all legendary and mythical Pokemon of Unova can be traced back to these in some way, shape or form. I've done extensive research of the lower levels and have seen plenty of carvings and remains depicting all sorts of them." Burnet said. "However there is a strange energy coming from the uppermost level that is different from anything else in the surrounding area."
"So if it's at the top, why are we going to the bottom?" Ash asked.
"It's sealed and we don't want to destroy the structure." Cynthia explained.
"Fair enough." Ash admitted as they continued.
Back on the boat
"Do you think they'll be alright?" Rosa asked, looking off the side of the boat.
"I'm sure they'll be fine, Cynthia is with them after all." Elliot commented.
"Mello Mello Mello Mello Et Et Et a!" Meloetta sang, hopping around the boat, having reappeared.
"What's going on with Meloetta?" Rosa wondered aloud, watching the mythical dance about.
"She's likely reacting to the ruins." N said quietly.
"What was that?" Rosa asked.
"No thing, forget I said anything." N paused, realizing he might have overstepped again.
"Look, about earlier, it's not your fault, we shouldn't have reacted that way, it's just after everything thats happened." Rosa trailed off.
"You struggle to trust me even though you agreed to letting me accompany Ash for the time being." N pointed out.
"Yeah, we trust Ash and if he says you can be trusted, so be it, but it doesn't mean we blindly will follow his word. Now what were you saying about Meloetta and the ruins?" Elliot asked.
"During my father's research for the dragons, we had looked into here, and found that the ruins not only had been sunk by Meloetta, making them reemerge is only possible by her." N admitted.
"And with how hidden Meloetta was before meeting me, you never found her." Rosa realized.
"We also realized the dragons were not here." N admitted.
"So wait, if Meloetta can raise the ruins, does that mean that's what she's doing right now?" Elliot asked with concern.
"So the ruins come up, what's the big deal?" Rosa asked.
"On shore, nothing but when you're this close to them, out to sea." Elliot paused.
"The resulting shift could capsize us, we need to get this boat a safe distance." N said, beginning to raise the anchor.
"Ash, come in Ash, do you hear me? The ruins are going to rise out of the ocean, I repeat the ruins are going to rise out of the ocean!" Elliot asked, trying the radio. "Porygon Z repeat the signal, Rosa help me get this going."
Back in the ruins
"Here we are, the final door." Cynthia said.
"Alright Golett, come and help us out!" Ash called out, the ground type trudging on the ground, seemingly unaffected by the pressure or being underwater for the time being as he pushed the slab slowly and carefully out of the way.
"Incredible, this chamber seems in near perfect condition." Burnet said, pulling out a scanner. "I was right, the strange energy is coming from in here."
"Be ready Ash, we both know how strange energy can change quickly." Cynthia said, thinking back to their encounter at Spear Pillar.
"Ash…ruins…rise…!" Elliot's voice echoed through the comms.
"Umm, Cynthia, Burnett, I think something is happening." Ash said, noticing even parts of the room shaking. "Duosion I could use some help use Psychic to hold the room together!"
Duosion came out, psychic energy holding the pillars up.
"Garchomp grab Burnett!"" Cynthia called out.
Water poured out of the room, air filling the chamber as Ash, Golett and Cynthia landed on the ground.
"Look, stairs!" Ash exclaimed, seeing a set appear after the water had flowered.
Burnet was lead up the stairs by Cynthia and her Garchomp, with Ash, Golett and Duosion taking up the rear.
"Incredible, this is it!" Burnet said, rushing to an altar.
"A glass disc?" Ash asked.
"I think it has something related to the Reveal Glass of ancient legends, but all of it's parts were said to be long lost." Burnet admitted, lifting it up from the pedestal carefully, a beam of green light shooting into the sky.
Elsewhere in Twist Mountain
"Guys, this might be the lead we've been looking for." Jeb said, seeing a beam of blue light shoot out from deep in the mountains.
Elsewhere, back in Kano
"Sir, what is it?" Matori asked, bowing as she entered Giovanni's office.
"It's time we go to Unova." Giovanni said, holding a handle bathed in an orange light. "The world will soon be ours.'

Professor Burnet, she isn't originally from Alola, but in fact generation 5's Dream Radar side game that was related to Abyssal Ruins and the Reveal Glass. her story for this story is far from over though.
