Cole ends up sleeping well past noon. When he finally does wake, a small groan passes through his lips before his eyes open and wander around the room, checking where he was before being drawn to Jay.

"You're still here?"

"Of course."

"Did I… what time is it?"

Jay checks his watch. "Almost 2pm."

Cole pushes himself up into a seated position. "And Yang?"

Jay nods. "He made an appearance, but nothing happened. He just told me to shut up and let you sleep."

Cole leans back on the couch, head trailing over the top, staring at the ceiling.

"How are you feeling?" asks Jay.

"Better. Less angry." Cole lets out a sigh. "He did nothing? You're saying I worked myself up over nothing?"

"You were right. He comes out when you sleep. You were right to be concerned."

Cole goes back to sitting normally. Crossing his arms, brow furrowed deep in thought.

Lloyd enters the room, Pixal had informed him as soon as Cole woke. "Hey, how are you doing?" he asks nervously.

"Better." says Cole, letting his brow relax slightly. The harsh bitterness from his voice is gone.

"So," starts Lloyd, "are you ready to talk about it?"

Cole sighs. "I can't figure out what's me and what's Yang… his emotions keep messing me up."

Lloyd and Jay exchange a knowing look. They knew what that felt like. Jay remembers the first 'dream', he had been convinced it was him feeling those things.

"Yesterday he was so angry, and like, I was angry at him too, so it felt right? I thought it was all me." Cole sighs again. "He thought I tried to kill him, with the deepstone."

Lloyd frowns. "Kill him? Is that even possible? Isn't he already dead?"

Cole shrugs. "He's like I was. He didn't die, he was cursed." Jay and Lloyd frown.

"So we can kill him?" asks Jay.

"Jay!" yells Lloyd. "We should be trying to find a way to free him, not kill him."

Jay shrugs. "I'm just saying!"

"I need to talk to him." says Cole, surprising the others. "This whole thing could have been avoided if I just listened to him in the first place."

Lloyd nods. "See if he knows a way out?"

"See if you can set some ground rules." adds Jay. "For the body sharing."

Cole scoffs. "Sharing? But it's my body!"

"We know. But, he is stuck there. Maybe you could try building a little trust?" Jay looks at him with sad knowing. "Look, we both know if the roles were reversed… what would you want?"

Cole looks down guilty. Jay was right. Hadn't he done the same thing before? "Ok, fine."

Cole's stomach interrupts with a loud growl. "I guess you missed breakfast." Says Lloyd with a grin.

After a very late lunch Cole goes to meditate in Wu's old room. Not that Wu had spent many nights in the temple, but it was still his room. Cole lays out incense and sits cross legged. He had never spoken to Yang while he was awake before, so wasn't sure if this was even going to work. Despite the decent night's rest, he was still pretty tired. Falling asleep again was the backup plan.

Cole closes his eyes, taking deep breaths, focusing on the smell of the incense, trying to clear his mind of everything else.

"Yang, I wish to speak to you."

He takes another deep breath, filling his lungs completely.

"As you wish."

Cole opens his eyes to see Yang sitting directly in front of him. He is in the dream temple, everything is just a bit fuzzier, a bit off. He wonders briefly if he had fallen asleep, but then puts that thought aside, realising it didn't really matter.

"You finally want to talk to me." Yang's old crusty voice is laced with bitterness. "You've had me trapped here for weeks."

"I didn't know."

"How, how could you possibly have done something like this without even realising?"

"Why are you assuming I did this? You're the one with all the spells and rituals. Maybe you stuffed up when you opened the rift?" Yang scoffs. Cole pinches his nose. "Ugh, we're getting off topic, I didn't come here to fight with you." Yang rolls his eyes and crosses his arms. "I'm guessing you can't just, um, leave?"

"Do you really think I would still be here if I could?"

Cole sighs. "Ok, so you want to leave, but you can't."

"Ten points and a gold star to Mr. Detective over here."

Cole takes a deep breath. Yang was the worst! But he needs to stay calm.

"Ok, so do you have any ideas, about how we can reverse this?"

"Plenty."

Cole pauses, waiting for Yang to share, but he just sits there, arms still crossed. "Well? What are they?"

Yang raises one eyebrow. "What's in it for me?"

Cole drops his head in frustration. "You get to leave, isn't that enough?"

"None of my ideas are workable yet. I need more time, to research, to try to figure out what you did. Which means I need time, as the one in control."

Cole shudders. He had been expecting this. "I don't trust you." he admits. "You tricked me before, you sent ghosts to kill my friends, you brainwashed your own students… you cursed me."

"And yet, you need my help." Yang uncrosses his arms, staring at Cole with an expressionless face.

"You're not even going to try and apologise?" Rage boils inside Cole. Why did it have to be Yang!

"Would it help?"

Cole scoffs. "Probably not."

"I didn't curse you, the temple did. It cursed me too, trapping me here."

Cole chews his lip. He could continue to argue, but would it help? Probably not.

"Fine. I'll give you some time. Let you research. But you tell Lloyd everything you learn."

A small smile creeps onto Yang's face. "We have a deal." Yang holds out his hand.

Cole glares at it, a sinking feeling in his stomach like he has just made a huge mistake. He reaches out his own hand slowly then pulls it back. "No weapons. No attacking my friends. No eating sweets. And no pretending to be me."

Yang cocks his head to the side. "No deepstone. No leaving the island, basically stop trying to kill us both. The more you push me out, the less progress I'll make. So sleep, rest! Let me study."

Cole finally takes Yang's hand, shaking it once. Looking into his cold eyes, trying desperately to see something good, anything he could trust.
