This is the last of the Halloween 2021 chapters. It's a little lame but does me the closure I want in covering Halloween 2021.

Later that night, after the usual Halloween feast, Headmistress Kirke spoke up.

"So," grinned Headmistress Kirke, "I think you're all going to love the bags we're going to provide you for our trick or treat session this year."

Devon, Hugo, James, Albus, Fred, Gordon, Aaron, Todd, Miles, Gary, Rose, Pamela, Roxanne, Rachel, Penny, Ainsley, Courtney, Stephanie, Samantha, and Lily all looked at each with excitement and anticipation on their faces.

Headmistress Kirke raised her wand and performed a nonverbal spell that caused the trick or treat candy to appear on the house tables. She then performed another nonverbal spell to cause the white ghost shaped bags they would be using to collect their candy to appear in everybody's hands.

"BOO!" shouted several playful voices at once.

"Oh," realized Samatha, "These ghost shaped are the exact same shape as our ghost shaped goblets were this morning. A double keepsake from this Halloween! I'm glad Headmistress Kirke didn't about the bags this morning."

"Telling people about them in advance would have spoiled the fun that comes with the surprise," reasoned Headmistress Kirke.

"As a bona fide Halloween enthusiast," piped up Stephanie excitedly, "These bags are a perfect addition to the cat bags we got in first year and the Jack O Lantern bags we got last year. But these are the best so far because they don't just have an embroidered shape, the bags themselves are the ghost shapes."

"Hard agree, sis," cooed Courtney cheerfully, "Any Halloween fan would be thrilled to be collecting these bags, and I completely agree that these are the best so far."

"Start by trick or treating at your own house table and work your way around Friendship Hall,' instructed Headmistress Kirke.

Devon, Hugo, James, Albus, Fred, Gordon, Aaron, Todd, Miles, Gary, Rose, Pamela, Roxanne, Rachel, Penny, Ainsley, Stephanie, Samantha, and Lily began by collecting candy at the Gryffindor table. This table had all orange candy. There were bags of all orange skittles, packs of all orange starbusts, bags of orange drops. and bags of all orange gummy bears. As the Circle of Twenty made their way around Friendship Hall, they found that the Hufflepuff table featured chocolate candies such as milk chocolate pumpkins, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Kit Kat bars, and, to James's delight, Old Faithful bars. The Ravenclaw table included the more carnivalish type inclusions such as Skittles Confused, Skittles Crazy Cores, M&Ms in Halloween colors, and clear bags of round candies that looked like gumballs that came in a variety of colors that were labeled Mystery Candy. The Slytherin table contained magical candies that were just milk chocolate to the immediate eye but had magical effects upon those who ate it. These chocolates came in four different bags: animal shapes, wand shapes, cauldron shapes, and broomstick shapes.

The nanosecond the trick or treating was done, Devon, Hugo, James, Albus, Fred, Gordon, Aaron, Todd, Miles, Gary, Rose, Pamela, Roxanne, Rachel, Penny, Ainsley, Stephanie, Samantha, and Lily sat back down at the Gryffindor table to decide what candies to consume that evening.

"Interesting that the Gryffindor table went with all orange candies," observed Ainsley, "Orange is the main Halloween color and orange is a great flavor that we all love so I'm not complaining. "

"Why don't we each eat one of the orange starburst pieces," piped up Devon, "They are individually wrapped and are the easiest of the orange candies to save the rest for later."

"That's really smart thinking, Devon," hummed Hugo Happily.

So, the Circle of Twenty each ate an orange Starburst.

"Yummy," cooed Roxanne, "Orange really is a fantastic candy flavor."

"It's been a while since I ate Starburst," said Samantha simply, "I'd forgotten how intense they are."

"They definitely have that "pop" to their flavor," beamed Lily cheerfully, "Starburst and Skittles have always done a good job with their citrus flavors."

"Having a table with only orange candies was very appropriate for Halloween," said Stephanie appreciatively.

"Long live Halloween," smiled Courtney.

"Let's dig into those Old Faithful Bars," said James eagerly.

This was par for the course as James was always eager to enjoy an Old Faithful Bar anytime he got his hands on one.

The Circle of Twenty enjoyed their Old Faithful Bars slowly to savor them completely.

"Old Faithful is the GOAT of candy bars, " said James firmly, "The mix of peanuts, marshmallow and chocolate is cloud nine nine times over!"

"I'm really curious about this Mystery Candy," grinned Gordon.

"Let's each eat one of those now," proposed Penny.

Next nanosecond, Devon, Hugo, James, Albus, Fred, Gordon, Aaron, Todd, Miles, Gary, Rose, Pamela, Roxanne, Rachel, Penny, Ainsley, Stephanie, Samantha, and Lily each tried one of the Mystery Candy pieces.

They all smiled at each other and then proceeded to give each other confused and uncertain looks.

"The Mystery Candy has a fantastic taste," acknowledged Albus admiringly.

"I'm not sure exactly what flavor it's supposed to be though," admitted Rose.

"It's definitely different from the Mystery Drink," reasoned Pamela, "Though I have to guess it's ingredients, recipe, and manufacturing process are also a trade secret."

"I also suspect they came from Sandra's Spooky Supplies," reasoned Roxanne.

"Correct, Miss Patil and Miss Weasley," confirmed Headmistress Kirke.

"Now," piped up Fred with anticipation in his voice, "We need to try out some of these magical chocolates."

Devon ate a magical chocolate hippogriff with the result that he temporarily sprouted a hippogriff's wings and talons.

Devon used these talons to playfully peck at Miles, Todd, and Gary, who were good sports about it all and make playful noises of angst.

"I got you good," Devon teased Todd, Miles, and Gary in a good natured way.

Samantha, meanwhile, had consumed one of the broom shaped magical chocolates.

Before she knew what had happened, she was literally flying around Friendship Hall without a broom.

"Oh," smirked Samantha, "These broom shaped chocolates give the eater the power of flying as though on a broom without actually having a broom. That's pretty neat. This is a great feeling."

"Don't get too addicted to it, Miss Saver," warned Headmistress Kirke, "Much like billywig stings, these broom chocolates must be enjoyed in moderation. Eating too many of them in too short a time can result in permeant floating and never being able to touch the ground again."

"Well," said Stephanie seriously, "Moderation is the key to just about anything."

Hugo, meanwhile, had eaten one of the cauldron shaped chocolates.

The end result was that he threw up, but not vomit.

Instead, Hugo was uncontrollably throwing up pieces of chocolate that were small and square that looked completely untouched.

"Oh," realized Todd, "The cauldron chocolates are really pieces of many chocolates hidden in one piece."

"What a cool trick!" cooed Gary.

"Anyone would be on cloud nine to find out that they had more chocolates hidden within a piece of chocolate," beamed Miles.

Fittingly, James and Lily had both gone for a chocolate wand.

Amazingly, both James and Lily then had jets of orange light shoot out of their mouths.

"That was definitely chocolate candy," said James matter of factly, "But it did taste like it had an infusion of orange to it."

"It also had an infusion of another mystery flavor," added Lily, "Having a candy that causes jets of orange light as though produced by a Lumos spell but with orange coloring is pretty awesome!"

This went on for a while as everyone lost themselves in the fun of the night.

That's exactly what this Halloween was supposed to be, and Headmistress Kirke looked out upon her students with a wide smile on her face.

Hogwarts was having a Happy Halloween indeed.

Have a safe and happy Halloween everyone! 🎃
