Hammerlocke Gym Battles (Part Three)
"Yeah!" cheered Lana who had her Salazzle and Garbodor out while Aria's Abomasnow and Hakamo-O were laying on the floor of the Hammerlocke vault with swirly eyes. Aria returns her Pokemon to their pokeballs; she puts them away and walks over to Lana.
"You battled well." said Aria, giving Lana pokedollars.
"You bet I did." replied Lana.
"Well done." said Raihan, walking over to Lana. "You passed the Gym Test; you've earned the right to battle me. Get your Pokemon treated and come to the stadium; I'll be waiting for you." Lana returns Salazzle and Garbodor to their pokeballs and runs to the Pokemon Center to get them treated.
Moments later, Lana was in Hammerlocke Stadium, standing on an end of a battle arena facing Raihan who was standing on the other end of the arena. Lincoln and his family and friends, as well as Marnie and Gloria were watching, as well as everyone else back in Royal Woods. An official steps into the middle of the battle arena.
"This match will be between the Gym Leader, Raihan; and the Gym Challenger, Lana Loud." said the official. "Both trainers will use four Pokemon, and each one can have two Pokemon out at the same time. Whichever trainer defeats all of their opponent's Pokemon first will be the winner. Let the match begin!" The official steps out of the arena while Lana and Raihan each pull out two pokeballs.
"Gigalith, Flygon, go!" said Raihan as he tosses two pokeballs, releasing his Gigalith and Flygon.
"Raihan has brought out his Gigalith and Flygon; what will Lana bring out?" asked the announcer. A sandstorm suddenly appears from Gigalith's Sand Stream ability.
"Come out, Excadrill and Seismitoad!" said Lana, tossing Excadrill and Seismitoad's pokeballs and releasing them.
"And Lana brings out Excadrill and Seismitoad." said the announcer.
"Good thinking; Excadrill and Seismitoad are unaffected by the sand storm." said Lincoln.
"Excadrill, use Swords Dance; Seismitoad, use Bubble Beam on Gigalith!" said Lana. Seimitoad releases a beam of glowing bubbles from his mouth and it hits Gigalith, dealing super effective damage, and lowering its speed while Excadrill dances around; energy surges through her body and her attack strength increases.
"Gigalith, use Body Press on Excadrill and Flygon, use Crunch on Seismitoad!" said Raihan. Gigalith jumps up into the air and slams down onto Excadrill, dealing super effective damage while Flygon flies to Seismitoad and bites him, damaging him, and weakening his defense.
"Excadrill, use Drill Run on Gigalith, Seismitoad, use Drain Punch on Flygon!" said Lana. Excadrill puts her arms up to her head and spins her body; she dives towards Gigalith and thrusts her claws into it, dealing super effective damage. Seismitoad jumps towards Flygon while a green aura surrounds his fist and he punches Flygon, dealing damage while healing Seismitoad's wounds.
"Gigalith, use Sand Tomb on Excadrill; Flygon, use Breaking Swipe on Seismitoad!" said Raihan. Gigalith's eyes glowed blue and a sand tornado surrounds Excadrill and deals super effective damage to her while Flygon flies at Seismitoad while a purple aura surrounds its tail and it strikes Seismitoad with it, damaging him.
"Excadrill, use Metal Claw on Gigalith and Seismitoad, use Hyper Voice on Flygon!" said Lana. Excadrill leaps at Gigalith and slashes it with her claws, dealing super effective damage and knocking it out while Seismitoad lets out a loud yell, releasing a beam of air with blue circles of light that hits Flygon, damaging it. Energy begins surging through Excadrill.
"Gigalith is unable to battle. Excadrill and Seismitoad wins." said the official.
"Lana's Pokemon has beaten Raihan's Gigalith, but Flygon is still hanging in there." said the announcer.
"Lana's doing good so far." said Lincoln.
"But Flygon's still in the match." said Ronnie Anne.
"Lana can handle it." said Luna. Back in Royal Woods.
"Yeah; take that, Gigalith!" said Lynn Jr.
"Flygon's still out there." said Rita.
"Not for long." said Luan.
"I hope so." said Lynn Sr. Back in Hammerlocke Stadium, the sandstorm disappears.
"Looks like that sand storm is over." said Sam. Back on the arena, Raihan returns Gigalith to its pokeball.
"You did your best, Gigalith." said Raihan. He puts Gigalith's pokeball away and pulls out another one. "Sandaconda, go!" He throws Sandaconda's pokeball and releases it.
"Raihan's next Pokemon is his Sandaconda." said the announcer.
"Excadrill, use Fury Swipes on Flygon; Seismitoad, use Bubble Beam on Sandaconda!" said Lana. Excadrill leaps at Flygon and repeatedly claws it, dealing enough damage to knock it out while Seismitoad fires a beam of glowing bubbles at Sandaconda, hitting it, and dealing super effective damage to it.
"Flygon is unable to battle. Excadrill and Seismitoad wins the match." said the official.
"Lana's Pokemon has beaten another one of Raihan's Pokemon; can he turn this match around?" asked the official.
"Way to go, Lana!" said Clyde.
"She's doing well so far." said Lucy.
"Lana can do it." said Leni. Back in Royal Woods.
"That's another of Raihan's Pokemon defeated." said Lisa.
"She can beat Raihan no problem." said Lynn Jr.
"Let's not underestimate Raihan." said Lynn Sr.
"Lana will literally win." said Lori. Back at Hammerlocke Stadium, Raihan returns Flygon to its pokeball.
"You did great, Flygon." said Raihan. He puts Flygon's pokeball away and pulls out another one. "You're doing good, Lana; but you still have to beat Sandaconda and my last Pokemon. Duraludon, go!" He throws Duraludon's pokeball and releases it.
"Raihan's final Pokemon is his Duraludon." said the official. Raihan returns his Duraldon to its pokeball and he uses his Dynamax Band to enlarge Duraldon's pokeball; he takes a selfie of himself with his Rotom Phone before he tosses the pokeball, letting Duraldon back out, only Gigantamaxed. "Raihan has Gigantimaxed his Duraludon; will it help turn this match around for Raihan?"
"Sandaconda, use Fire Fang on Excadrill; Duraludon, use G-Max Depletion on Seismitoad!" said Raihan. Sandaconda leaps at Excadrill while fire surrounded it mouth and it bites Excadrill, dealing super effective damage and knocking it out; red swirls of energy surround Duraludon; it releases it onto Seismitoad and a vortex of purple energy with blue dragon wings surrounds him and it damages him.
"Excadrill is unable to battle. Duraludon and Sandaconda wins the match." said the official.
"Raihan's Sandaconda has beaten Lana's Excadrill; what will she do now?" asked the official.
"Poor Excadrill." said Leni.
"Don't worry; Lana still has two Pokemon to bring out." said Luna.
"Something tells me she only needs one." said Lincoln. Back at Royal Woods.
"Excadrill's out!" exclaimed Lynn Jr.
"Don't worry; Lana can turn this around." said Rita.
"Go, Wana!" cheered Lily.
"You said it, Lily." said Luan. Back in Hammerlocke Stadium, Lana returns Excadrill to her pokeball.
"You did great, Excadrill." said Lana. She puts Excadrill's pokeball away and pulls out another one. "You're not the only one with a Sandaconda, Raihan!" She throws a pokeball and releases her Sandaconda.
"And Lana brings out her own Sandaconda; which one is the stronger one?" asked the announcer. Lana returns Sandaconda to her pokeball and uses her Dynamax Band to enlarge it; she throws it, releasing Sandaconda, now Dynamaxed. "Lana has Dynamaxed her Sandaconda; can it handle Raihan's Gigantimaxed Duraludon?"
"Sandaconda, use Max Quake on Duraludon; Seismitoad, use Drain Punch on Raihan's Sandaconda!" said Lana. Her Sandaconda releases a shockwave from her body, sending pieces of the ground at Duraludon; they hit it, dealing super effective damage. Sandaconda begins surging with energy and her special defense increases. Seismitoad leaps at Raihan's Sandaconda while a green aura surrounds his fist and he punches it, dealing damage, and healing some of his wounds.
"Sandaconda, use Slam on Seismitoad; Duraludon, use Max Wyrmwind on Lana's Sandaconda!" said Raihan. His Sandaconda jumps at Seismitoad and slams its tail onto him, damaging him. Duraludon becomes surrounded by red swirls of energy; Duraludon fires the energy at Lana's Sandaconda, forming a purple vortex of energy with orange dragon wings below it, damaging Sandaconda.
"Sandaconda, use Max Quake on Duraludon; Seismitoad, use Bubble Beam on Raihan's Sandaconda!" said Lana. Seismitoad fires a beam of glowing bubbles out of his mouth and it hits Raihan's Sandaconda, dealing super effective damage, and knocking it out while her Sandaconda releases a shockwave from her body, sending pieces of the ground at Duraludon; they hit it, dealing super effective damage.
"Lana's Seismitoad has beaten Raihan's Sandaconda, now his Duraludon is the only Pokemon, Raihan has left." said the announcer; Raihan returns Sandaconda to its pokeball.
"You did great, Sandaconda." said Raihan before putting Sandaconda's pokeball away. "Duraludon, use Max Wyrmwind on Sandaconda!" Duraludon becomes surrounded by red swirls of energy; Duraludon fires the energy at Lana's Sandaconda, forming a purple vortex of energy with orange dragon wings below it, damaging Sandaconda. Duraludon suddenly returns to its regular size.
"Duraludon's Gigantimaxed Form has wore off; this could be trouble for Raihan." said the announcer.
"Seismitoad, use Mud Shot on Duraludon!" said Lana. Seismitoad fires a big ball of mud out of his mouth and it hits Duraludon, dealing enough damage to knock it out.
"Duraludon is unable to battle. Seismitoad and Sandaconda wins. The winner of this battle is the challenger, Lana Loud!" said the official.
"She's done it! Lana has beaten Raihan's Duraludon and earning Lana the victory!" said the announcer.
"All right!" cheered Lana, doing a double fist pump. Her Sandaconda returns to her regular form.
"All right, Lana!" cheered Lincoln.
"That was awesome!" said Luna.
"I'll say." said Ronnie Anne. Back at Royal Woods, everyone was cheering for Lana.
"She won!" said Lynn Sr.
"That was intense." said Lynn Jr. "I wonder if I could still do the Gym Challenge myself."
"Try and you're grounded off sports for a year!" exclaimed Rita.
"Way, Wana!" cheered Lily. Back at Hammerlocke Stadium, Raihan returns Duraludon to its pokeball.
"You were amazing, Duraludon." said Raihan. He puts Duraludon's pokeball away and walks to Lana who was hugging her Pokemon. "You did an excellent job training your Pokemon."
"Thanks, you too." said Lana. Raihan reaches into her pocket and pulls out a Dragon Badge.
"For your victory here, I present you with the Dragon Badge." said Raihan. He gives Lana the Dragon Badge, along with pokedollars.
"Yeah; now I can compete in the Rose Cup!" said Lana.
Later at the lobby, everyone was congratulating Lana on winning her final badge.
"Congrats, little sis." said Luna.
"You were, totes, amazing." said Leni.
"Thanks; you know, I think I need more types of Pokemon on my team." said Lana. "I'm gonna exchange Garbodor for my Tangrowth, and I'll spend as much time training him for the Rose Cup." She uses her Rotom Phone to exchange her Garbodor for Tangrowth.
"You know, Lana; I think Sandaconda is one of the Pokemon, Max Soup can work on." said Lincoln.
"You mean I can Gigantimax, Sandaconda?" asked Lana. "Cool! As soon as everyone else finishes their gym battles, I want to go to the Isle of Armor and find some Max Mushrooms, and make some Max Soup for Sandaconda." An official walks to the group.
"Which of you will be going next?" asked the official.
"I, totes, will." said Leni.
"Very well." said the official. "When you're ready, get into your uniform, and report to the vault."
"Okay." said Leni.
"Do your best, Leni." said Luna.
"We'll be cheering for you." said Lola.
"Thanks, everyone." said Leni.
Leni heads over to the Hammerlocke Vault, where Raihan has her do her Gym Test; she was able to successfully defeat all three trainers in Double Battles, allowing her the chance to battle in the stadium.
Later, at Hammerlocke Stadium, Leni was walking out of a tunnel and out onto the field while Raihan does the same; they both meet at the center and prepare for Leni's Gym Battle.
"You did well to make it this far, Leni." said Raihan.
"Thank you." said Leni.
"But let's see if you're good enough to defeat me." said Raihan.
"I, totes, will." said Leni with a smile of determination. She and Raihan head out onto opposite ends of the field while an official walks over to the center.
"This match will be between the Gym Leader, Raihan; and the Gym Challenger, Leni Loud." said the official. "Both trainers will use four Pokemon, and each one can have two Pokemon out at the same time. Whichever trainer defeats all of their opponent's Pokemon first will be the winner. Let the match begin!" "And Raihan starts out with his Flygon and Gigalith!" said the announcer. "Let's see what Pokemon Leni will use." Leni tosses her pokeballs, releasing her Glaceon and Tsarneena. "And Leni starts out with her Glaceon and Tsareena."
"Glaceon, use Hail! Tsareena, use Razor Leaf on both Raihan's Pokemon!" said Leni. Her Glaceon lets out a shout, making a snowstorm appear that removes Gigalith's sandstorm, while Tsareena launches a bunch of leaves at Raihan's Pokemon, dealing damage to Flygon, and super effective damage to Gigalith; Raihan's Pokemon, and Tsareena take damage from Glaceon's snowstorm.
"Sorry, Tsareena." said Leni.
"Flygon, use Earth Power on Glaceon; Gigalith, use Stone Edge on it also!" said Raihan!" Flygon causes the ground beneath Glaceon to burst, dealing damage, while Gigalith summons up a large line of rocky spikes at her.
"Dodge them, Glaceon!" said Leni. Glaceon leaps up to dodge the incoming rock attack with ease.
"That was pretty good." said Raihan.
"Glaceon has the Snow Cloak ability." said Leni. "During snowstorms, she can dodge better."
"Clever, using the snowstorm your Glaceon made to its advantage." said Raihan.
"Thank you." said Leni. "Glaceon, use Ice Fang on Flygon! Tsareena, use Trop Kick on Gigalith!" Her Glaceon runs at Raihan's Flygon while her fangs were covered in ice and bites down on Flygon, dealing super effective damage, and knocking it out; Tsareena runs at Gigalith and does a drop kick on it that causes flower petal-shaped bits of energy come out, as well as knocking Gigalith out.
"Both Flygon and Gigalith are unable to battle. Glaceon and Tsareena are the winners." said the official.
"Yay!" said Leni.
"Incredible! Leni has beaten Raihan's first two Pokemon!" said the announcer. "Now Raihan and two Pokemon remaining. Can he come back from behind to win the match?!"
"You can do it, Leni!" said Lincoln as Marnie and Gloria each held one of his arms while glaring at each other.
"We're here for you!" said Ronnie Anne as she glares at the two girls holding Lincoln's arms.
Back at the Loud house, everyone there was cheering for Leni.
"She's doing great so far." said Rita.
"We believe in her!" said Luan.
"She'll win!" said Lori.
Back at Hammerlocke Stadium, Raihan returns his Pokemon to their pokeballs.
"You two did your best." said Raihan. Just then, Tsareena takes some damage from the snowstorm.
"Please hang in there, Tsareena." said Leni. Raihan puts his Flygon and Gigalith's pokeballs back on his waist before taking his last two off and tosses them, releasing his Sandaconda and Duraludon.
"And Raihan brings out his Duraludon and Sandaconda!" said the announcer. Raihan returns his Duraldon to its pokeball and he uses his Dynamax Band to enlarge Duraldon's pokeball; he takes a selfie of himself with his Rotom Phone before he tosses the pokeball, letting Duraldon back out, only Gigantamaxed. "Raihan has Gigantimaxed his Duraludon; will it help Sandaconda win this match for him?"
"Glaceon, use Blizzard on Duraldon; Tsareena, use Leaf Storm on Sandaconda!" said Leni. Her Glaceon unleashes a powerful snowstorm that hits Duraldon, damaging it, while Sandaconda releases a powerful flurry of leaves that hit it, dealing super effective damage; the snowstorm suddenly disappears and is replaced by a sandstorm.
"Sandaconda's Sand Spit ability." said Lana as she thinks about her Sandaconda.
"Duraludon, use Max Steelspike on Glaceon; Sandaconda, use Slam on Tsareena!" said Raihan. His Duraldon unleashes a trail of steel spike at Glaceon, dealing enough super effective damage to her to knock her out, while Sandaconda slams its tail onto Tsareena, dealing damage to her.
"Glaceon is unable to battle. Duraludon and Sandaconda are the winners." said the official.
"And Duraludon defeats Leni's Glaceon!" said the announcer. "Now Leni has three Pokemon left! Can she win?!"
"You better believe she will!" Lola shouts towards the announcer.
"We believe in her also." said Lucy.
"And we'll keep doing that!" said Lana.
Back at the Loud house, everyone there was continuing to show Leni their support.
"She can still win this!" said Lynn Jr.
"She WILL win this!" said Rita.
"We know she will!" said Lynn Sr.
Back at Hammerlocke Stadium, Leni was returning her Glaceon to her pokeball.
"You were, totes, great, Glaceon!" said Leni. She puts Glaceon's pokeball back on her waist and pulls another one off; she tosses it, releasing her Ninetales.
"And Leni's next Pokemon is her Ninetales!" said the announcer. "Can it help her defeat Raihan's Gigantamaxed Duraludon?!" Leni returns her Ninetales to her pokeball, then uses her Dynamax Band to enlarge it; she then decides to do a selfie herself before heaving it, releasing her Dynamaxed Ninetales. "Now Leni has Dynamaxed her Pokemon!"
"Ninetales, use Max Flare on Duraludon! Tsareena, use Trop Kick on Sandaconda!" said Leni. Tsareena runs at the Sandaconda and does a drop kick to it, scattering more flower petal-shaped bits of energy, and knocking it out; while Ninetales hits Duraludon with a large stream of fire, dealing damage; strong sunlight appears, removing Sandaconda's sandstorm from the field.
"At least that sandstorm is gone." said Lincoln.
"And the sunlight will protect Tsareena from status conditions thanks to her Leaf Guard ability." said Clyde.
"And power up Ninetales' fire moves." said Sam.
"Duraludon, use Max Wyrmwind on Ninetales!" said Raihan. . Duraludon becomes surrounded by red swirls of energy; Duraludon fires the energy at Ninetales, forming a purple vortex of energy with orange dragon wings below her, dealing damage.
"Ninetales, use Max Flare again! Tsareena, use Leaf Storm!" said Leni. Her Tsareena hits Duraludon with a powerful blast of leaves, not doing much damage to it; while her Ninetales hits Duraludon with another stream of fire, dealing damage. Suddenly, Duraludon returns to its normal size.
"Duraludon's Gigantamaxing wore off!" said Ronnie Anne.
"Duraludon, use Flash Cannon on Tsareena!" said Raihan. Duraldon's body glows brightly before it fires a silver beam of energy from its body, hitting Tsareena, knocking her out.
"Tsareena is unable to battle. Duraludon is the winner." said the official.
"Even though Duraludon's back to normal, it still defeats Leni's Tsareena!" said the announcer. "Now she has two Pokmeon remaining! Can Raihan hang in there and pull off an upset?!"
"At least her Ninetales is still Dynamaxed." said Lucy.
"Raihan's going down!" said Lana.
Back at the Loud house, everyone was still watching Leni's match.
"Hang in there, sweetie!" said Lynn Sr.
"At least Raihan only has one Pokemon left while Leni has two." said Lori.
"She can still win." said Rita.
Back at Hammerlocke Stadium, Leni was returning her Tsareena to her pokeball.
"You were, totes, awesome." said Leni. She puts Tsareena's pokeball back on her waist and pulls her last one off; she tosses it, releasing her Lopunny.
"And Leni's last Pokemon is her Lopunny!" said the announcer. "Can it help beat Raihan's Duraludon?!"
"Lopunny! Finish this with Double Kick!" said Leni. Her Lopunny leaps at Duraldon and lands two strong kicks to it, dealing super effective damage, and knocking it out.
"Duraludon is unable to battle. Ninetales and Lopunny win. The winner of the match is the Gym Challenger, Leni Loud." said the official.
"She's done it!" said the announcer. "After a tough battle, Leni has defeated Raihan and earned herself the victory!"
"Yaaaay!" said Leni.
"Way to go, sis!" said Luna.
"That was amazing!" said Lincoln.
"I knew she could do it." said Lola.
Back at the Loud house, everyone was celebrating Leni's victory.
"Waay, Weni!" cheered Lily.
"She won!" said Rita.
"Was there ever any doubt?" asked Lynn Jr.
"Not at all." said Lynn Sr.
Back at Hammerlocke Stadium, Raihan was returning his Duraludon to its pokeball.
"You rest up, Duraludon." said Raihan. He puts Duraludon's pokeball back on his waist and walks over to Leni. "You are a strong trainer like your siblings and friends."
"Thank you." said Leni with a smile. Raihan reaches into her pocket and pulls out a Dragon Badge.
"For your victory here, I present you with the Dragon Badge." said Raihan. He gives Leni the Dragon Badge, along with pokedollars.
Later at the lobby, everyone was congratulating Leni on her victory.
"You were amazing, Leni." said Ronnie Anne.
"Now you have all eight badges." said Clyde.
"Totes." said Leni. An official then walks over to them.
"So who's up next?" asked the official.
"I am." Lucy says from behind the official, startling him.
"W-When you're ready, report to the vault." said the official after he calms his heart down.
"Do your best, Lucy." said Lincoln.
"I will." said Lucy.
Lana and Leni have each won their final badges and have qualified for the Rose Cup. Now it's Lucy's turn. Will she win? Wait and find out.
