Hey everyone, Zed here. I just wanted to let everyone know that the story is not dead; it is just taking me a long time to find my motivation again. Trust me when I say I am doing everything I can to finish the next chapter.
And to keep you all interested until I release the next chapter, I will give you a little preview to persuade you.
I hope you like it!
…
After changing into fresh civilian clothes (a lightly washed pink v-neck sweater, a white shirt worn underneath, blue jeans, and a pair of white sneakers), the young Saint of Athena patiently waited outside the hospital for his chaperone. Ky and Dizzy assigned someone to look after him, and he fully understood their intentions. Allowing someone so young to wander the city unattended would be a bad idea.
Despite the difficult circumstances, Shun was eager to explore the city of Illyria and see what it had to offer. His mind could argue that he was trying to look on the bright side of things after realizing he was a long way from home.
The emerald-haired Saint clasped his hands together and began pacing across the bright gray sidewalk. While he was excited to explore Illyria, he was becoming concerned about the person who would be looking after him.
Ky made it clear that his chaperone had been told not to ask too many personal questions about him for fear of upsetting him. But would that sit well with them?
Eventually, after spending a lot of time with him, the chaperone will strike up a conversation with him about whatever has caught his attention. One way or another, questions will be raised about him.
"Perhaps it would be best if I say that I can only answer their questions if I feel comfortable to do so. But… will they understand like Ky and Dizzy did?"
Shun shook his head. "No, they have to. Otherwise, Ky wouldn't have assigned them."
The young man was startled out of his reverie by the sound of a car approaching. At the very least, he expected it to be a car.
His eyes widened as he noticed a vehicle in the shape of a horse carriage coming to a stop next to him. "Wait… I will be riding around the city in that?" Incredulously, the young Saint approached the strange car, leaning down to get a better look.
While inspecting the strange vehicle, he did not notice anyone getting out of the passenger seat until they spoke to him.
"You must be Shun, right?" A woman asked with a mature and calm voice.
The young man turned to the woman as he leaned away from the vehicle. He was taken aback when he saw how stunning she was. Her long, golden waterfall of hair cascaded gracefully down her back. Her eyes were like ice: cold and still, but stunning to look at in the sunlight. Aside from the frown, her face had few to no flaws.
Was this a result of the time period he was thrust into, or were people in Europe born to look this beautiful?
He quickly turned back to her question, reprimanding himself for spending too much time looking at her.
"Yes, that is me, ma'am. Sorry for not noticing you." He bowed in apology. "I got distracted by the car." He pointed his head toward the vehicle in question.
Fortunately, the stunning blond woman gave a sympathetic nod. "Apology accepted. Nobody would blame you for being distracted by Illyria's vehicles."
"So all the cars around here look like this?" The young man inquired, returning his attention to the vehicle.
"Not usually. This model specifically was designed more for luxury and leisure. Only the wealthy can afford one for themselves." She said. A moment later, her eyes widened. "Forgive me; I forgot to introduce myself." She removed her hat and bowed gracefully to the young man. "My name is Millia Rage; it is a pleasure to meet you, Shun."
