Torrhen walks the halls of Winterfell already wishing for the night to be over. Today was already a pretty tiring day, now he had the feast, even though he loves a good feast, he also loves his bed, especially when he is tired but unfortunately for him, he can't go lay in his bed. He has his duties, like escorting the princess to the dinning room. He reaches the room of the princess, nods his head towards her guard, then proceeds to knock on her door.

Torrhen: It is Torrhen, my princess, the feast is about to start

Myrcella: Gave me a minute

After a few minutes, the princess was wearing a bit warmer clothes but still had the look of a princess

Torrhen: Princess, you look lovely

Myrcella: My Lord you look handsome

Torrhen: Shall we? 'He offered her his arm, she gladly took it and the two went towards the banquet'

Torrhen: How are you liking the North so far?

Myrcella: To he honest, it is colder than I thought but also quite beautiful

Torrhen:'Laughs' Yes most people can't seem to get past the cold but I am glad you can see the beauty of the North

Myrcella: Yes it is very beautiful view, I could even see myself living here 'She winked at him'

Torrhen: Be careful what you wish for, my princess

The two made it to the dinning area, Torrhen dropped off the princess at her table. Once he looked around he noticed his brother, Jon was not there. He sighed, he went to grab a jacket, then went outside to see Jon hitting a straw dummy, he was about to go speak to him when he saw his uncle ride in. Torrhen waited a second then decided to make himself known

Benjen: You might, if you knew what it meant. ... I'd better get inside. Rescue your father from his guests. We'll talk later. 'He went inside'

Torrhen: He is ride you know

Jon: Torr, I am not having this conversation with you

Torrhen: But when I am Lo-

Jon: I wouldn't want a handout

Before Torrhen could answer, they heard a new voice

Tyrion: Your uncle is in the Night's Watch?

Jon: What are you doing here?!

Tyrion: 'drinking' Preparing for a night with your family. I've always wanted to see the Wall.

Jon: You're Tyrion Lannister. The queen's brother?

Tyrion: My greatest accomplishment. You you're Ned Stark's bastard, aren't you?

Jon gets angry and looks away. Torrhen steps in front of him

Torrhen: I heard you were different from your siblings

Tyrion: Ah! You must be the Heir. The famous Red Wolf, your name is known even in the Kings Landing

Torrhen: How so?

Tyrion: Of course, most people heard about what you did in Dorne

Torrhen: I see, but I'm sure those stories are mostly false anyone

Tyrion: I doubt it. 'He turns to Jon' Did I offend you? Sorry. You are the bastard, though.

Jon: Lord Eddard Stark is my father

Tyrion: And Lady Stark is not your mother. Making you a bastard. Let me give you some advice, bastard. Never forget what you are. The rest of the world will not. Wear it like armor. Then it can never be used to hurt you.

Jon: What the hell do you know about being a bastard?

Tyrion: All dwarves are bastards in their fathers' eyes. 'he walks away'

Torrhen: Come inside, Jon

Jon: I'm not going

Torrhen: Please?

Jon: Torrhen! Stop asking me

Torrhen: As you wish

Torrhen heads back inside to the banquet, he notices the King is not sitting with his wife, he has a few women all over him. Lady Catelyn and the queen are sitting awkwardly beside each other, then he notices Benjen and his father talking. He approaches as the same time Robb does

Robb: Uncle Benjen

Torrhen: It's my favorite uncle

Benjen: Robb Boy, how are you? Really Torrhen

Robb: I'm good 'he hugs his uncle'

Torrhen: You know I am your favorite

Benjen: Whatever helps you sleep at night

Torrhen looks up to see Sansa talking to the queen, she looks uncomfortable so Torrhen heads that way

Cersei: Such talent. You must make something for me.

Torrhen: My lady, my queen 'he kisses her hand' My lady 'He said to Sansa, then whispered in her ear, she then leaves'

Cersei: Such a gentlemen you are

Torrhen: Thank you, my queen, I was raised to be one. Now if you two would excuse me 'He walks away'

Cersei: Such a nice young man he is

Catelyn: Yes he is

Cersei: You love him as your own even though he isn't?

Catelyn: Yes I do, I tried not to but what he has done for my children, I can't help but see him as my own

Torrhen had noticed Ser Jamie approaching his father, knowing how much his father did not like Jamie, he decided it would be a good idea to make sure they don't talk for too long, he could hear their conversation as he approached them.

Ned: I don't fight in tournaments

Jamie: No? Getting too old for it?

Ned: I don't fight in tournaments because when I fight a man for real, I don't want him to know what I can do.

Jamie: Well said

Torrhen: You know 'both men ,surprised, turn towards Torrhen' if you want to fight a Stark, the King wishes to see me fight, we can have a "friendly" spar in the morrow

Before the kingslayer could reply, Arya threw some food right into Sansa's face. Torrhen found this funny but one look from his mother figure stopped his laugh, he understood her look and made his way towards his sister

Torrhen: Time for bed dear sister

Torrhen picked his sister up by here waist like a sack of potatoes then took her to her room. Deciding he had enough for the night, Torrhen went to his bed chambers to call it a night. The next day rolls around, Torrhen gets himself prepared then heads to the training yard. He goes through his warm ups then he hears footsteps behind him.

Jamie: So, Dayne, wait no I don't think you are even worthy of that name, but are you ready for our little spar

Torrhen: Ready to get your ass kicked?

Jamie: I do love your confidence, let's just hope you still have it after I am done with you

Torrhen allows Jamie to warm up, this also allows them time for the master at arms to show up, Rodrick Cassel. Also, a pretty size crowd forms around the yard, the king and queen, along with the Starks watch from the balcony. Torrhen and Jamie began circling each other, both of them waiting for the other to make their move. After a short stare down, Jamie made the first move, he jabbed towards Torrhen's head who side stepped it. Torrhen had to immediately block a strike to his stomach, Jamie then tried to swipe his feet but failed as Torrhen dove out of the way. The kingslayer wanted to keep up his offensive onslaught, so he sent a two handed slash towards Torrhen's throat but it was parried off towards the side, again, Jamie tried to swipe at Torrhen's stomach but the Stark jumped out of the way.

Up on the balcony

Robert: Your boy is holding his own so far

Ned: He is the best swordsmen I know

Robert: Better than you?

Ned: It's been three years since I've beat him

Robert: Isn't that when he returned from his wardship?

Ned: Aye

Robert: What the hell did he do in Dorne?

Back to the fight

Torrhen had enough of this defensive fight so he started pushing his offense. He quickly upped his pace, going for three strikes one after the other, first he went for the head, Jamie quickly blocked it, then Torrhen went towards the Lannisters mid section which he blocked but not as easy, for his third strike, he quickly reversed grip his sword and went for a horizontal slash that Jamie had a hard time blocking. This left Jamie's stomach open which Torrhen took advantage of by sending a powerful kick to his stomach, Jamie tried not to bend over in pain but he did just a little, Torrhen kept up his attack, going for a stab of his right arm, Jamie blocked it but good enough as it cut some of his sleeve. Torrhen did another slash at Jamie's left arm, this time Jamie didn't respond fast enough as Torrhen made a decent cut on his left forearm. Jamie didn't flinch or yell, as Torrhen's sword made contact with him, he attempted a jab at Torrhen's own left arm, he too made a decent cut to Torrhen's upper arm. Torrhen grunted then pushed Jamie's sword up and to the side in a super quick motion, making Jamie drop his sword, in one fluent motion Torrhen disarmed Jamie and had his sword to his neck.

Torrhen: Yield

Jamie: I yield

Applause we heard through the training ground but none louder than the ones from the balcony, to Torrhen's surprise, it was coming from the King himself, he could had sworn he even saw the queen with a small smirk on her face?

Robert: That was wonderful, I dear even say you would give me trouble back in my prime

Torrhen: I am honored by your words, your grace

Robert: I would love to see more of your skills, you are to join us for the hunt

Torrhen: Of course

Robert: Good, then let's prepare for it!

Timeskip:

A decent size hunting party is near the gates of Winterfell, towards the front of the group is Torrhem, Robb, Ned, and Theon. Ned is the closest to the gate, Torrhen is slightly behind him while Robb and Theon are a couple feet behind Torrhen. They are just waiting on the King to show up. Finally, after another few minutes, he does.

Robert: Are you as good with a spear as you use to be?

Ned: No

Robert: Let me guess, Torrhen is better

Ned: Aye but I am still better than you

Robert: I know what I'm putting you through. Thank you for saying yes. I only ask you because I need you. You're a loyal friend. You hear me? A loyal friend. The last one I've got.

Ned: I hope I'll serve you well

Robert: You will. And I'll make sure you don't look so fŐ˝cking grim all the time. Come on, boys, let's go kill some boar!

Torrhen: Has he always been like that?

Ned: Aye

As the king's party rides off, Torrhen waves to Bran. The young Stark watches them go out of side before he takes off towards a tower. The hunting group wasn't gone long and a bet was already in place between the king and Torrhen on who could kill the most boar. So, Torrhen was off by himself, not really alone, he was about 100 yards away from his father and king. He was on foot now, it was easier for him to track this way. All of a sudden, Torrhen heard something behind him and he quickly jumped to the side to see a massive boar. The beast was charging him again, Torrhen side stepped then plunged his sword into the boar's head.

Robert: 'Approaches as Torrhen killed the boar' Another one? What's that three now Ned?

Torrhen: 'With a smirk' How many is that for you, your grace?

Robert: 'Laughs' I knew I liked you boy! I'm glad you are coming south, maybe you can show my boy about being a man

Before Torrhen could reply, he noticed behind the king, Ned was talking to some Stark man and he did not look very good. Torrhen's stomach dropped. He knew something was wrong, he could feel it.

Torrhen: Everything alright?

Ned: We have to go back, something happened to Bran.

Timeskip:

A month had passed since Bran had fallen from the tower. They say he is going to live but he still hasn't woken up yet. The king and hand leave for Kings Landing today. Torrhen hasn't slept that well the last two days, every time he thinks about leaving Winterfell he gets this uneasy feeling, so sleep for the Heir of Winterfell has been hard to come by. Currently, Torrhen is walking to Jon's room, Jon is also leaving but he is going North. Torrhen sighs then knocks on his brother's door.

Jon: Come in

Torrhen: Can we talk for a minute?

Jon: As long as it is not about the Wall

Torrhen: Jon, I just want what is best for you

Jon: This is what is best for me!

Torrhen: No it is not!

Jon: How would you know?!

Torrhen: You have to give up us, Jon! Think about that! If something happens, you can't come check on us. Hell, you can't have a wife or children

Jon: I-I don't want that

Torrhen: You should! I would be the best uncle to a bunch of little Jon's and Jonnies

Jon: Torr

Torrhen: Look, I know you are stubborn but I know I can't talk you out of this, I just want to make sure that you know what you are giving up

Jon: I do

Torrhen: Alright then

With that, Torrhen walked out, both brothers feeling worse after that conversation. But, what neither one of them knew in that moment, it would be years, before the two would talk again. Not long after, the king's party departed for Kings Landing. After a while, the small group heading for the Wall, went their separate ways. After a while of traveling, the kings party was stopped for a break for the night, the king and Ned were off to the side, having a small panic. Torrhen was cleaning his weapon, not like it needed to be clean but he was bored. Not long later, the king called him over

Torrhen: You called me?

Robert: Sit boy!

Torrhen found a make shift seat and was by Ned

Robert: We were discussing women! I'm sure a man like yourself, you have slept with a few

Torrhen just looked at Robert then looked towards Ned to see his reaction, but of course Ned was showing no emotion

Torrhen: I don't think-

Robert: Ah who cares what Ned thinks

Torrhen: Well

Robert: It was that Tyrell girl wasn't it?

Torrhen: Ah you heard that rumor as well?

Robert: HAHA! I am sure it is nothing of a rumor

Later that night

Torrhen was preparing himself for bed when he heard a bunch of commotion outside. When he made his way out of his make shift tent, he asked someone what was going on, he was told that something happened between Arya and the prince and that the king summoned Arya to tell him what had happened. Torrhen worried for his sister, quickly took off, once he reached where the king was, he silently entered.

Ned: Why wasn't she brought to me at once?

Cersei: How dare you speak to your king in that manner?

Robert: Quiet Woman. Sorry Ned, I never meant to frighten the girl, but we need to get this business done quickly.

Cersei: Your girl and that butcher's boy attacked my son. That animal of hers nearly tore his arm off.

Arya: That's not true! She only bit him a little. He was hurting Mycah

Cersei: Joff told me what happened. You and that boy beat him with clubs while you set your wolf on him.

Arya: That's not what happened!

Joffrey: Yes it is! They all attacked me and she threw my sword into the river

Arya: Liar!

Joffrey: Shut up!

Robert: Enough! He tells me one thing, she tells me another. Seven hells what am I suppose to make of this? Where is your other daughter, Ned?

Ned: In bed, asleep

Cersei: She's not. Sansa come here darling

To Ned and Torrhen disbelief, Sansa comes forward followed by a guard. She doesn't even look at her father. She just looks at the floor.

Robert: Now, child, tell me what happened. Tell it all and tell it true. It's a great crime to lie to a king.

Sansa: I don't know. I don't remember. Everything happened so fast. I didn't see.

Arya: Liar, liar, liar liar! 'She starts hitting her sister'

Ned: Stop it! That's enough of that! Stop! Arya!

Finally, Torrhen steps forward, shocking everyone and grabs Arya and steps back, while whispering stuff into her ear. She then calms down. But what some people didn't see was that the queen was smirking and seem to enjoy this.

Cersei: She's as wild as that animal of hers. I want her punished.

Robert: What would you have me do? whip her through the streets? Damn it, children fight, it's over.

Cersei: Joffrey will bear these scars the rest of his life

Robert: You let that little girl disarm you? 'he shakes his head' Ned, see to it that your daughter is disciplined. I'll do the same to my son.

Ned: Gladly your grace

Cersei: What of the dire-wolf? What of the beast that savaged your son?

Robert: I'd forgot the damned wolf

Guard: We found no trace of the wolf, your Grace

Robert: No? So be it

Cersei: We have another one

Robert: As you will

Torrhen: Your Grace? If I may?

Cersei: I don-

Robert: Go on

Torrhen: Killing an innocent dire wolf that had nothing to do with the situation is a bad look, especially since it is the sigil of house Stark. If word got out, a lot of people would be upset

Robert: What would you have me do then?

Torrhen: Send her back to Winterfell, not only do you take care of the situation, it also works as a punishment for the girls

Robert: Aye, that works, do that then

With that King Robert leaves, Cersei follows not long after him but not without giving Torrhen a quick stare. Jamie just looks at the boy, he is confused by him, he reminds him of someone he use to know, especially after his spar with him, Jamie swore he saw the ghost of somebody. Once they get to Kings Landing, the Lannister wants to understand the enigma of Torrhen Stark. Torrhen without saying anything, just heads back to his bed chamber which is just a tent. He quickly falls asleep but not before he has a strange dream.

Torrhen is in some castle, he has never been here so he doesn't know where. He sees an older man that looks like him except for the hair. He is talking to a woman sitting on a throne, the woman is the most beautiful woman he has ever seen. She looks around the same age as the man. She had the prettiest silver-blonde hair. Then the scene changes to a battlefield, bodies are everywhere, places are being burned, Torrhen looks around, he sees the people he loves spread across the battlefield, dead. Arya, Jon, Robb, Sansa and Ned. The scene changes again but this time it looks like a funeral, someone is being burned. Then once the fire calms down, he sees the same silver-blonde hair women emerge from the fire with a dragon on her shoulder.

?:You must find her, you and her must find each other
