A Life Transformed
Time seemed to have frozen as everyone, from the mercenaries to the civilians and the police force, could do nothing but stare in awe as two giant metal robots stood tall and looked at everyone. The Commander stared wide-eyed from his chopper as he couldn't fathom what he was seeing.
Robotics have come a long way in research, but never has he seen something as advanced as this. Vehicles who...transforminto robots!
None were more surprised than Kenta, as he stared wide eyed at the two towering figures that stood before him. The light blue one-eyed robot looked down at him in surprise, thought it was hard to tell since his whole head was mostly consisted of just that one eye. The yellow and black robot just gave a sheepish look, like he was a deer caught in a headlight.
"This... is gonna be hard to explain to Prowl." Bumblebee said with a cringe.
"Yeah." Whirl said with a nod as he shook his head. "I'm never gonna hear the end of this from him."
Kenta still remained silent as he tried to process not only what he was seeing, but also what he was hearing. His dad's company has done well in the world in robotics, but these particular giant robots were unlike anything his company had ever developed. It was almost like... like they had emotional personalities.
Within his personal command chopper, the Commander of the mercenaries looked on in shock by what he was seeing. He turned to his copilot and glared heavily at him. "What the hell am I looking at?!" He demanded as he grabbed his copilot by the scruff of his uniform. "Intelligence never said anything about Sodo Industries having this kind of arsenal!"
"We never had this kind of information, sir!" The copilot said in fear of his superior's anger. "Sodo Industries must've had files so encrypted that we never picked them up!"
The Commander growled in anger as he roughly let his copilot go and glared down at the robots. "Very clever on their part, to have an arsenal like this under wraps. Well, they'll regret revealing their hand now, because the game is about to be mine." He said as he started typing away at his laptop with a hard stare. "All drones, new priority target!"
The moment the command was issued, all the drones in the air began to buzz and circle around Whirl and Bumblebee. The little drones' guns were soon deployed and they fired upon the larger bots.
"Ah! Ow! Hey, stop that!" Whirl said, his tone more annoyed than hurt, as the bullets from the drones impacted his metal chassis. "Hey, what are they firing at us for?!"
"Don't know, but these things definitely don't pack the same punch as the Cons." Bumblebee said as he leaned over Kenta to prevent the bullets from hitting him, using his metal body as a shield. "Stay down, little guy, and get to cover."
"Don't have to tell me twice!" Kenta exclaimed as he used Bumblebee's body for cover as he ran towards the entrance of the building, but stopped to turn back to the yellow bot. "Just... what are you?"
Bumblebee smiled down at him and gave a thumbs up. "We're the good guys. That's all you need to know." He said reassuringly. "Now go on. Get to cover." Kenta was still confused by all this, but he obliged by the large bots request and ran inside his family's building and just watched in the lobby the action before him. Bumblebee stood back up and waved his arm, slapping a few drones into the ground. "These things sure break easily. Why can't the Decepticons be this easy?"
"I know, right!" Whirl said as he swatted some more drones with his claw hand before he deployed his shoulder mounted gatling gun and started firing upon the drones, blowing a whole bunch up. "This is more fun than I've had in cycles in space!"
However, Bumblebee noticed that his shots were not only tearing the drones to pieces and destroying them, but they were also impacting the surrounding buildings, causing some damage. "Whoa, Whirl, stop!" Bumblebee exclaimed as he quickly grabbed Whirl by the other shoulder and pushed him down a bit. "Easy with the firepower. We're not trying to cause damage to these organics homes."
Seeing the damage his gun caused, he quickly retraced it and his single eye gave the Autobot scout a sheepish. "Uh... right. Sorry." Whirl said in a guilty tone. "First impressions for first contact is always important."
"For now, let's try something with a bit more... style." Bumblebee said with a smirk as he held up his hands, before they retracted into his arms and in their place were three-pronged spikes that charged up with electricity. "These things are in for a shock." He held up his spike hands and shot out multiple arks of electricity, zapping and inevitably destroying multiple drones. Despite them destroying dozens of drones, there were still plenty in the air that continued to fire at them. Despite their numbers, the drones did little to know damage to the two larger bots.
All of this was being witnessed by not Kenta, who had a look of pure amazement and awe, but a lot of other civilians within the building, and in the streets from a safe distance. There were also news helicopters that were broadcasting this battle through all news channels throughout the city.
/
Within a darkened room lit up by a few candles, four people sat down in front of a small television screen that showcased the titanic battle between the drones and the two larger robots. All of the room's occupants were teenagers, with three girls and one boy, each of them wearing Kuoh Academy uniforms
The only boy in the room had short blonde hair, blue eyes, a mole under his left eye. The first girl was a year younger than him with a petite body and short white hair with a black cat hairclip, the second girl had a more voluptuous figure and had long black hair tied into a pony tail that reached the back of her knees, while the final girl, who sat behind a desk with her fingers interlocked, had an equal voluptuous figure with long flowing red hair down her back and bluish-green eyes.
"That's... incredible." The blonde boy whispered in shock. The white-haired girl next to him on the couch held a chocolate bar in her hand, but she hardly paid it any mind as he gazed was focused on the TV.
"Rias... just what are they?" The black-haired girl asked, her eyes wide in shock and awe.
"I don't know, Akeno." The red-haired girl, Rias, said as she held a focus stare, watching the giant robots on TV.

The Commander watched the battle from his vantage point, and while he was getting frustrated that the drones weren't doing as much damage as he wanted, the more he watched the robots fight, the more his look changed from anger, to fascination.
"Such machine work... and firepower." The Commander said as his eyes never left the sight of the two robots completely decimating the swarm of drones.
The Commander wasn't the only one that was fascinated by the action. Up in the board room of Sodo industries, Hokuto and the board of directors watched on the large viewing screen that showed the live news reports of the action outside.
Being the CEO of major technological company, Hokuto has seen many advancements in science, but he has never seen anything like this. Robots that seem to transform into vehicles? Such a discovery has never been heard of.
All of a sudden, he realized this was the chance he's been waiting for. He quickly ran back to his laptop and furiously began typing. "Come on... come on... please still work." He mumbled to himself, much to the confusion of the board members.
"Sir, what are you doing?" One board member asked in confusion.
"Activating the kill switch on the drones." Hokuto said with his eyes not leaving the screen.
"You had a kill switch this entire time? Why didn't you use it right away?" Another board member questioned in slight anger.
"Because they had my son!" Hokuto exclaimed as he glared at the board member that spoke last, scaring him slightly. He lifted towards the screen before speaking again. "Whatever those things are, they just saved my boy, and I would be damned if I don't return the favor and helped them!" Not even bothering for a response from them, he returned to work on his laptop.
Back outside, the Commander's copilot noticed something from his screen. "Sir, we may have a problem." He informed his superior.
Not liking anymore surprises, the Commander turned to his copilot with a glare. "What is it now?!" He exclaimed.
"Someone's trying to hack into the drones. Wait..." The copilot typed away furiously, but what he saw on the screen made his eyes widened beneath his mask. "They're not hacking into the drones for control! There's some kind of hidden command within their code!"
"What?! But who could have access to..." The Commander paused when he realized who it could be he directed his glare up at the Sodo building.
Meanwhile, Hokuto typed in a few more keys as he bit his lip in anticipation. "Just a few more seconds..." He mumbled to himself when he pressed one more button and the codes on his screen changed from green to red, much to his elation. "Yes! That did it!"
The battle between Bumblebee and Whirl against the swarm of drones continued to rage on, with the one eyes not swiping his claw and cannon hands, swatting the drones to the ground. Bumblebee continued firing his electrical shocks and destroyed multitude of them, while the drones still hardly did anything to them with their guns.
"This was kind of fun, at first, but now it's starting to get... kind of boring." Whirl said to the scout. Swatting these things around was kind of exciting, but they were just so fragile to them that it was starting to lose its flare.
"Yeah, but it looks like we may be here for a while." Bumblebee said with an easy-going smile as he continued to fire electrical blasts at the drones, destroying them. "At least until the others get here and then we can wipe them out easy." Just then, they noticed that the drones stopped firing at them and just hovered in midair. "Okay... that's odd."
Whirl looked closely and noticed that the drones now had tiny blinking lights on them. "Wait a minute..." Whirl mumbled before his expression became shocked. "Uh, Bee, I think these things are gonna explode!"
Bumblebee's eyes widened slightly. "Really? I wonder what happened to get them to do that." The scout questioned.
"Soldiers!"Both bots cringed when they heard the angry voice of Prowl over their comms."Get out of there right now! That's an order!"
Bumblebee looked around and saw the streets were to become filled with people now that the action seemed to subside. Everyone continued to look at the two of them in shock and awe. "Uh, loved to Prowl, but it's getting kind cramped down here." Bumblebee said with a cringe.
"Yeah, and we've got eyes on us everywhere." Whirl said as he looked up at the news helicopters above them.
As this was going on, Kenta was still standing inside the lobby of his family's building, but he was so mesmerized by the giant robots that saved him that he didn't notice his robot dog Spike looking at one of the blinking drones on the ground with interest.
"Bark! Bark!"Spike immediately took off running outside and grabbed the drone into his teeth, shaking it like a chew toy.
"Spike, no!" Kenta exclaimed as he ran outside and tried to pull Spike back, but the robot just wouldn't let go. "Spike, sleep mode!" The order caused the robot dog to shut down and drop the drone. Kenta sighed in relief, but then paused when he saw that all around him were the blinking drones all over the street. "Oh, shit!" Not wanting to get caught in the explosions, he attempted to run back.
In an alley a small distance away from the crowd, Prowl in his vehicle mode drove slowly before transforming. He peaked around the corner of the alley to see his men being surrounded by the organic lifeforms of this planet. Thinking quickly, he opened a compartment on his hip and pulled out three cylinder-like grenades.
"'This squad will be good for you,' Optimus said. 'They have great potential,' he says." Prowl grumbled as he held two grenades in one hand and the third one in the other before activating them. "Why couldn't Optimus bring me onto the Ark with the others?"
Setting his mind back to the task at hand, he pulled back the hand that held the two grenades and tossed them around the corner, tossing them just within the circle of the crowd.
"Soldiers, avert your eyes!" Prowl said over the comms, getting Whirl and Bumblebee to turn and close their eyes. The two grenades soon burst, but not with a fiery explosion, instead with a bright flash of light that blinded everyone on the ground. Prowl tossed the third grenade into the air near the news helicopters, causing another bright flash that forced them to fly back higher into the air. "Bumblebee, Whirl, you're all clear. Get out of there now!" With his order given, Prowl transformed and drove away.
"Roger that, Prowl!" Bumblebee said as he turned to Whirl. "Let's roll!" Bumblebee jumped over the crowd and transformed into vehicle mode, driving away. Whirl was about to transform and fly away, but paused when he heard something
"Gah! Damn it!"
Whirl looked behind him and his single eye widened when he saw spotted the same organic that Bumblebee saved from the falling debris. He was kneeling down and rubbing his eyes in pain, no doubt from Prowl's flash bang grenade. What's more, he was completely surrounding by some of the downed drones that were about to explode. If he doesn't get out of there soon...
"Oh, scrap." Whirl groaned as he looked back into the air and was about to transform and fly off, but watching the young organic scrambling around to see while the drones around him started to blink faster. "OH, SCRAP!" Against his better judgement, he grabbed the young man with his claw hand. "Hang on, little guy!"
With that being said, he transformed into his helicopter mode with Kenta in hand. The result was Kenta automatically being put into the pilot seat as he flew away. Not a moment too soon as the drones that were on the ground and were hovering in the air began to explode left and right, leaving all of them in pieces.
Back in the mercenary's chopper, the Commander recovered from the flash and saw that, not only had all of the drones had been destroyed, but also those giant transforming robots had just disappeared.
"Damn it!" The Commander exclaimed in anger as he slammed his fist onto the choppers console. "We could have gained so much from those robot's pieces!"
"It's not a complete loss, sir." His copilot said as he passed him his laptop. "We still have the data files that were downloaded from Sodo Industries' servers, including Project Scalpel."
The Commander looked at the screen and glared hard at it, but then took a deep breath and his face became stoic. "It's a small consultation prize, compared to the Holy Grail we have witnessed today." He said as he pulled out his radio and spoke into it. "All units, fall back and return to base. We're done here." And just like that, every mercenary, including himself began to fall back and soon left in their armored vehicles.

With the chaos outside the building finally over, the police were able to move in and see if there was any more of those armed men within the building, but unfortunately, they all disappeared without a trace. They even got a report that all street cameras were shut off, so they couldn't even track the direction their escape vehicles.
A lot people, both pedestrians and employees from within the building were now standing outside as multiple officers were taking their statements about today's events, while paramedics were also checking people for injuries.
Hokuto soon ran out the building and was looking around frantically. After the chaos was over he deactivated the lockdown and instantly raced down to find his son, but Kenta was nowhere to be found.
"Kenta!" Hokuto called out, but received no answer. "Kenta, where are you?!"
"Sir, are you injured?" An officer walked over with concern. "You should see Medical."
"Not until I find my son!" Hokuto exclaimed with worry as he continued to frantically look around. "Oh, god... the explosions... the drones..."
"We're checked the outside of the building completely, sir. No sign of your son." The officer said, calming Hokuto down somewhat, but until he sees Kenta in person, he will continue to worry.
"Sir." Another officer stepped up with a forlorn expression. "We've counted one casualty within the building."
Hokuto's blood ran cold the moment he heard that. It couldn't be Kenta, could it? There's no way his son was... that he was...
He soon got his answer when a couple of paramedics came out wheeling a gurney with a long sheet over a body. Hokuto ran over to them and they allowed them to pull the sheet back where the head was. His hands were trembling as he slowly pulled the sheet back, but the moment he saw who it was, the shaking stopped, but his expression was still sad.
"It's Otori." Hokuto said as the paramedics took the body away.
"Did you know him?" The officer asked.
"Not personally, but he was very kind to my son." Hokuto said with a sad sigh. He always knew that Otori helped Kenta sneak inside from time to time. Nothing goes on in the building without him knowing about it. He didn't care, though, as seeing his son smile when he used the scrapped parts of failed projects to help his own inventions made him smile in return. "God... if Kenta saw him..."
"Sir." The officer said as he placed a hand on the CEO's shoulder. "We'll find your son."
"Yes... yes, thank you." Hokuto said as he took a deep breath to try and calm his nerves. He looked up into the sky, worry etched into his face as he thought of his son. "Kenta... where are you?"
/
"Gah! God dammit, my eyes hurt!" Kenta exclaimed as he was still rubbing his eyes from the intensity of the flash. All he could see was just white with flashes of color, but as he continued rubbing his eyes, he was starting to get some sight back. That wasn't the only thing on his mind, though, as he was standing outside one minute, and then sitting on some kind of seat. "And where the hell am I?"
"Sorry about that, little dude. Had to get you out of there before you, you know, blew up to pieces." Whirl said with a chuckle, speaking through the console in his cockpit of his vehicle.
Kenta's sight soon returned, and when it did, his eyes widened in shock as he saw that he was in the cockpit of a military helicopter. He looked out the window and saw that he was flying above the outskirts of Kuoh Town. The buildings were starting to pass by until he was above trees and roads leading out of town.
His eyes widened again as he looked at the console, putting together where that voice was coming from and what he witnessed back there. "You're... you're one of those giant robots from before!" Kenta exclaimed.
"Giant? Well, thanks for that little dude. I've been told I'm pretty average for my size." Whirl said with a chuckle. "The name's Whirl, by the way."
"Whirl? I... I don't understand. Just what is going on here?" Kenta questioned in confusion. "Did my dad's company manufacture you, or something?"
"Manufacture?!" Whirl exclaimed in a tone that felt like he was insulted. "Do I look like a Vehicon drone to you?!"
"I'm sorry, what?" Kenta asked in confusion. "I'm sorry, could you please just tell me who or what you are then?"
"It's... a little complicated." Whirl said with a sheepish tone.
"Whirl, what's your location? Are you returning to base?"
Kenta gasped in shock as a second voice spoke through the speaker, one that didn't belong to any of the two robots. "Whoa! Who was that?" Kenta asked in shock.
Unfortunately... the line was open when he spoke.
...
...
"Whirl... what... did I... just here?"
Hearing the angry undertone of his commander's voice, Whirl would have cowered back if it wasn't for the fact that he was in his vehicle mode. "That would be... well... the organic native I have with me."
"I'm sorry... WHAT?!"
Both Kenta and Whirl cringed in fear at the loud voice, more so with Kenny since he wasn't a helicopter.
"Sir, I can explain." Whirl said quickly, trying to think of a way to talk himself out of the hole he just dug himself.
"And I am looking forward to hearing every word of it as soon as you get back to base! AT ONCE!"
"Yes, sir." Whirl said with a sigh as he continued flying towards their makeshift base. "Scrap, I can never do anything right with him."
Kenta felt really out of place in this moment, so he just remained silent. Today was supposed to be the start of a new normal in his life with going to a new school, but fate had other plans for him, he guesses.
On the one hand, he wanted to go home, see his parents, let the, know he was okay. However, these were giant robots of unknown origins and he was being taken to where they were holding up. Call him crazy, but the scientific curiosity within him was screaming at him that this was the opportunity of a lifetime, a discovery never seen by any of the great minds of the past.
'I'll come home soon, dad. I promise.'Kenta thought to himself as he just watched out the window, looking down at the forest below.
/
A few minutes later of flying over the forest outside of Kuoh Town, Kenta could feel Whirl beginning to lower himself down closer to the tree line. There was a gap in the trees that he hovered down through before he landed on the ground and opened the cockpit, allowing Kenta to walk jump out and onto solid ground, with the deactivated Spike in his arms
When he did, what he saw before him made him gasp in absolute shock and awe as he gazed at the sight of the Autobot shuttle sticking out of the ground.
"What... what is that?" Kenta asked, though, deep down, he had a feeling he already knew that answer.
"That, little dude, is the Sky Lynx, our shuttle." Whirl said with pride.
"Shuttle..." Kenta repeated while slowly turning to look up at Whirl. "So... that means..."
Before he could speak further, he heard the revving of engines in the distance before he saw four cars driving up towards them. There was a yellow and black-striped Camaro, a dark blue Dune Buggy, a red and white fire chief Lamborghini Countach, and the last car was a black and white Nissan police vehicle.
When they all stopped in front of him, each of them transformed into their robot modes, causing Kenta to gasp and look up in awe at their towering forms. He recognized the robot that was the Camaro, but the other three robots were completely unknown to him.
One of the robots was white with red stripes going down his arms, red legs, and a large red stripe going down his chest with a white shield in the middle with a red face mark on it. The second robot was closely the smallest whose head, arms, and legs were blue while his chest was silver, had wheels on his shoulders, and eyes were covered by a visor. The final robot was black and white with the same red face mark on his chest, doors on his back, and small red curved spikes on his forehead.
Red Alert looked at Kenta in shock before he glared at his one-eyed comrade. "Whirl, what were you thinking?" He exclaimed in shock.
"He wasn't thinking!" Prowl said angrily as he stepped forward and glared angrily at Whirl, who could do nothing but looked down sadly. "You not only disobeyed an order, but you had the audacity to bring one of the natives to our hidden location?!" He then sets his angry sights on Bumblebee. "And you're not off the hook either, Bumblebee! You, out of all bots, were the first to break protocol and reveal yourself!"
Kenta glared up at Prowl and decided to speak up. "Hey, these guys saved my life!" Kenta exclaimed, gaining Prowl's attention. "Why don't you back off and give them a break!" All of the Autobots' eyes widened in shock as this tiny human just yelled at their commander who towered over him easily.
Prowl turned his glare onto the sole human among them, not liking being spoken to like that. "This is none of your concern, organic." Prowl stated in a dismissive tone.
"The name is Kenta Sodo, and I don't appreciate guys who were just trying to do the right thing getting yelled at for being heroes!" Kenta exclaimed with his fists balled up on the side.
Prowl frowned as he glared hard at Kenta and was about to retort back, but then Beachcomber stepped up and placed waved his hands between them. "Hey, hey, my friends, let's not let these hostilities cloud minds. It's been a long couple of Cycles, so let's cool our fuel lines for a second." Beachcomber said placatingly.
Prowl remained silent for a moment before he closed his eyes and took a deep breath. "Let's just regroup at the ship and discuss our findings on this world." With that said, Prowl just walked off to the crashed Autobot shuttle.
"That guy's an ass." Kenta said as he glared at Prowl leaving.
"Hey, things have just been a little hectic with us lately. He'll calm down once he gains a bit of peace of mind." Beachcomber said with a smile as he knelt down and held out his finger to Kenta. "Still, respect is due for you, little man, standing up to him like that. You said your name's Kenta, right? I'm Beachcomber."
Kenta smiled up as he placed his hand on Beachcomber's finger and shook it like he would a hand. "Nice to meet you." Kenta said.
"Beachcomber, wait!" Red Alert exclaimed as he quickly pulled his blue friend away and did a scan on his finger. "You can't just touch an organics appendage without having properly scanned and analyzed. Who knows what kinds of bacteria, infections, or parasitic entities are crawling all over it!"
"Hey, I'm not an 'it,' big guy." Kenta said with a light glare. "Second of all, I haven't been sick in two years, so you don't have to worry about catching something."
"Catching something?!" Red Alert repeated as he started scanning Beachcomber's entire body next. "We need to start working on getting our decontamination protocols up and running! Who knows what's crawling on this planet!" With that said, Red Alert transformed and floored it straight back to the Sky Lynx.
Kenta just stared blankly in the direction he drove off to before turning towards the others. "Okay... what was all that about?" Kenta asked them, not really sure how to process that.
"That's Red Alert, and don't take it too personally. He can be just a bit too paranoid sometimes, and a bit of a germaphobe." Bumblebee said with a chuckle and a shake of his head before he gave a Kenta a smile. "You already know Whirl, so I guess that leaves me to introduce myself. The name's Bumblebee."
"You're the guy who saved my life the first time." Kenta said with a grateful smile and nodded. "Thanks again for that, by the way."
"Hey, it's no problem, and thanks for standing up for me and Whirl." Bumblebee said with an appreciative smile before he gestured to the ship. "Come on, let's show you around."
The three Autobots walked over towards their crashed shuttle, with Whirl picking up and allowing Kenta to hop on his shoulder. When they got inside, Kenta's eyes widened in wonder as he looked at the bridge of the shuttle. While it did look mostly damaged, the tech looked more advanced than anything he's ever seen before, with Prowl looking over a console and tapping away at a holographic screen.
"Wow! I know a few top scientists who would kill to look at technology like this!" Kenta exclaimed in excitement.
"Yeah, the Sky Lynx is top notch. No surprise since it was made by the greatest of our own top scientists." Whirl said as he tapped one of the consoles, but that just caused it to shatter to pieces from the light touch. Whirl cringed as he looked at Lund the heavily damaged bridge. "Though, granted, it's a bit of a fixer upper right now."
"Yeah, it looks like it's seen better days." Kenta said before his face became a bit more serious as let Whirl place him on top of another console that was a lot sturdier so that he could be at eye level with them. "So... the fact that your base is a shuttle, and that no one on Earth has ever seen anything like you before, this could only mean one thing." Kenta looked at them all with an expectant look on his face. "You guys aren't from this planet, are you?"
"That is correct." Prowl said as he stepped away from his post to look at Kenta. "We are autonomous robotic organisms from the planet Cybertron."
Kenta looked at each of them in awe and wonder, processing the information he was just given about them. "This is... this is incredible. We've often thought about the potential of life beyond our planet, and now... now this is unreal." Kenta said with a chuckle of excitement.
"Oh, it's very real." Bumblebee said with a smile. "Our kind has traveled through space before, setting up multiple colonies on other worlds, but this planet is the farthest we've ever been from Cybertron."
"So, are you the leader of your people?" Kenta asked Prowl curiously.
"No, I'm just a simple field commander leading this scouting regiment." Prowl said with a shake of his head.
"Our ship crash landed onto this planet due to some... complications." Red Alert said with his narrowed at that last statement. His mind was racing as he thought about the Decepticon ship that attacked them before crashing here on this planet. "I've ruined an analysis, and I've concluded that we've been on this planet for about ten Stellar Cycles."
"Stellar Cycles?" Kenta repeated in confusion.
"Explorers from our planet say that the equivalent to a Stellar Cycles for most organics is one year in their language." Red Alert explained.
"Ten Stellar Cycles?!" Whirl exclaimed in shock. "Oh, scrap! Who knows where the Ark is now!"
"If the Ark is fully operational." Red Alert retorted, earning a glare from the young cadet.
"Hey, Optimus would not let the Ark get done in that easily. He's out there somewhere surfing the cosmos, most likely looking for us." Beachcomber said with certainty.
"Yeah, he would never give up on us." Bumblebee said with a nod.
"Wait, wait, hold on, I'm a little confused on a few things." Kenta called out, getting all their attentions. "I got the who, what, when, where, but not the why." The young man looked at each of them in the eye, wanting a complete straight answer. "Whyare you here?" Each of the Autobots looked at one another, their expressions mixing between uncertainty and... remorse.
Prowl gave a sigh as he decided it was best to just get this explanation over with, so he pressed a button on a table, which displayed a hologram of a planet complete made of metal, with a surface that was a gorgeous mix of silver and gold with blue light outlines stretching across from it.
"This is Cybertron, our home." Prowl said in slight reverence.
"Wow. It looks... amazing." Kenta said in awe.
"Yeah... itwasamazing." Beachcomber said with a forlorn expression.
"Was?" Kenta repeated, now starting to feel worried by what they were going to say next.
"This is what Cybertron looks like when we left it." Red Alert said as he pressed another key on the table, replacing the old hologram of Cybertron with a current one.
Kenta's eyes widened as this new image of Cybertron had no color, was very dim, and looked like it was rusting from the inside out. "I... I don't understand. What happened to Cybertron."
"War happened to Cybertron." Bumblebee said with a deep frown.
"Millions of your Earth years ago, Cybertron was a powerful Empire, and there seemed to be peace, but over time the corruption of our government went on unchecked." Prowl began to explain. "As the cycles went on, various movements would try to oppose the caste system and break the cycle of functionism within the planet."
"Functionism?" Kenta repeated.
"Basically, it stated that whatever you transformed into would determine your job and place in society." Beachcomber said with a sad sigh.
"And you would have no say in the matter." Bumblebee added.
"That's... that's just messed up." Kenta said in disbelief. Basically how you were born there would determine your entire future. You would have no control over your own destiny.
"Over time the most radical political movement known as the Ascenticons decided they had enough, and they decided to fight the system." Prowl continued, holding a bitter look in his eyes. "Their leader demanded that all Cybertronians be treated as equals and that they would have the choice to make their own decisions in life."
"That's good, right?" Kenta asked, not understanding why everyone looked like this was a sore topic. "These Ascenticons sound like freedom fighters."
"And they were... for a time." Red Alert said with a deep frown.
"The Ascenticons went from being freedom fighters to terrorists, no longer caring about who they killed, be they enemies of innocents, for their crusade." Prowl continued with an angry, yet sad, expression. "I lost a lot of good friends because of themwhen I worked in the police force."
"Oh my god." Kenta whispered in shock.
"That was before I emerged, but I heard it was brutal." Whirl said with a shake of his head.
"Over time, countless acts of terrorism from the Ascenticons resulted in our planet being consumed in a civil war. Constant fighting and battles over the resources of our planet." Bumblebee continued to tale. "The Ascenticons soon became the Decepticons, and they knew that whoever controlled the most resources controlled the planet."
"And that is why we, the Autobots, rose up against them." Prowl said as he pointed to the red face insignia on his chest with pride. "Our goal is to stop the Decepticons and bring about an era of peace and freedom to Cybertron."
"Wow. Sounds like life on your planet got... pretty dim, but it's nice that you guys are still fighting for it." Kenta said as he looked at the current image of what Cybertron looked like. "It's still terrible about what your planet looks like now."
"That actually co-aligns with why we're here on this planet." Red Alert spoke up. "Our planet can no longer sustain us. The war has completely consumed all our resources, and now it is a dead world."
"Wait, what?!" Kenta exclaimed in disbelief.
"It's true. Cybertron is dead." Prowl said as he closed his eyes with regret. "We fought hard to save it, but it wasn't enough."
"I'm... I'm so sorry." Kenta said as he gave each of them a soft look. To fight so hard to save your home and make it a better place, only to have it all be destroyed must have been devastating to them.
"That's why we're here!" Whirl said, his excitement returning. "We're on a super important mission to scout ahead and find a new world for us and the other Autobots to settle down in until we can find a way to get Cybertron back and running!"
"Our leader is commanding a massive vessel called the Ark, which holds our entire Autobot forces." Prowl said with a nod. "Our task is to find a hospitable world that can sustain us, signal the Ark for rendezvous, and possibly come up with a plan to one day revive Cybertron."
"Wow, and you guys chose Earth?" Kenta asked with a smile.
"Not... exactly. Remember, we crashed, not landed here." Bumblebee said with a cringe. "Coming to your planet was completely accidental. We don't know for sure if this 'Earth' is the right pick for us."
"But, much to my chagrin, we are here now, so we need to make the most of it." Prowl said with a sigh before he looked at each member of his squad. "Autobots, we have two priorities. The first, salvage and repair as much equipment as we can from the Sky Lynx. The second, turn what we have into a fully functioning base so we may learn more about this planet."
"Well, hey, I can help out with that." Kenta said as he raised his hand up.
Prowl gave a light glare before speaking to the young human. "The offer is appreciated, Kenta, but this is Autobot business. The best thing for us to do is avoid all form of contact with your kind." Prowl said resolutely.
"Yeah, and how'd that work out for you before?" Kenta said before looking to Whirl and Bumblebee. "No offense, guys."
"None taken. I deserve it." Whirl said with a sigh as Bumblebee patted him on the back.
"Anyway, who better than to teach you how to live on Earth than someone whoactuallylives on Earth?" Kenta said as he pointed his thumb to his chest with a smirk. "I can show you around, teach you what we Earthlings like to do, and answer any questions you have about our planet."
Prowl still didn't seemed to be convinced, but then Beachcomber stepped up and gave an easy going smile. "I think that's a pretty groovy idea." Beachcomber said. "We got a local expert here that can help us blend in better. I say we let the little man stick around."
"Well, I protest to this." Red Alert said as he went to work on a broken terminal. "We don't know anything about this organic, nor the biological contaminants he could be carrying. It's best if he just forgets that he was ever here, and that he ever saw us. The only ones we can rely on this alien planet is ourselves."
"But on this world,we'rethe aliens, so we're completely out of our depth here." Whirl pointed out. "I think Kenta here can really help us out on learning everything we can on this planet."
"Hmmm..." Prowl crossed his arms as he looked down in deep thought. He soon turned his attention to Bumblebee, who had remained silent during their debate. "Bumblebee, while I can still say that I am crossed with you for your choices, your input is still vital to this crew. We're tied two in favor and two against. What's your vote?"
Bumblebee was a little surprised about being put on the spot, but he understood that this decision wasn't to be taken lightly. He looked at each member of the squad before looking at Kenta, who looked down in resignation, thinking that his offer was going to be turned down.
"Honestly... I think Kenta here can be helpful." Bumblebee said, getting a surprised look from the young man. "Every one here is right, but Optimus always told me that you have to be always aware of the situation, and adapt accordingly. Face it guys; this isn't Cybertron. We're out of our element here."
Prowl stared at him for a moment before he gave a sigh and a nod. "Very well." He said before he stepped forward to stand directly in front of Kenta on his makeshift platform. "Kenta Sodo, as commander of the Sky Lynx crew, I am granting you permission to aid us in learning about this planet." He leaned forward and narrowed his eyes slightly. "Do not make me regret this decision."
Instead of feeling intimidated, Kenta just gave a smile. "You can count on me, sir." He said with a two-fingered salute.
"This is gonna be awesome!" Whirl said in excitement as he looked at Kenta, his single eye wide with jubilation. "We can go on tours of the planet, you can show me the sights, hang out, show me where all the cool spots are!"
"Oh, trust me, you're gonna love all the cool places Japan has to offer!" Kenta said with equal excitement. "We've got Tokyo, we could fly over Mt. Fuji, the tropical Ishigaki Island..."
"Ahem." Prowl interrupted them as he crossed his arms and gave a smirk that sent a shiver to both of them. "Whirl, hold your enthusiasm, because you are still in a whole scrap ton of trouble." He gestured to the heavily damaged bridge. "You're going to get this whole mess cleaned up, and catalog everything that is salvageable or not."
"Oh, Primus." Whirl said with a groan as he walked off to start his punishment.
"Well, look at it this way, Whirl. It could be worse." Bumblebee said with a chuckle.
"And Bumblebee, you're on vent cleaning duty." Prowl added.
The yellow bot just sighed, knowing he walked into that one. "Yes. Like that. That's how it could be worse." Bumblebee said as he walked off to get his chore taken cared of.
Kenta chuckled at the display, thinking these guys, while strange, were definitely a lot of fun. He knew for a fact that he was going to enjoy being around them. It's funny, the more he thought about it. All his life he wanted to have friends that would truly get him for just being him, not some rich super genius and heart to a tech company. Maybe he might have finally found the friends he's been looking for. He just wondered what his dad would say if he saw and heard everything that he did today.
That thought then made him think of his parents, and how worried they must be about him. "Hey, listen, I'm thankful for all of this, but I really need to get back to my parents back in town." He spoke up, gaining everyone's attention. "You guys kind of rescued me during the aftermath of a crisis back home, so my parents are worried sick."
"Par... ents?" Red Alert questioned with a raised eyebrow. "What are parents?"
"You know, the ones who raised me." Kenta tried to explain. "They take care of me and look after me. My dad actually owned the building that got attacked."
"Caregivers." Prowl quickly summarized. "I suppose that's going to be another thing we're going to have to get used to if we are to work together." He then looked towards his geology expert. "Beachcomber, you will accompany the boy and take him back to his establishment."
"Like, sounds groovy to me, Boss-Bot." Beachcomber said as he took Kenta off the console and placed him down on the ground before transforming into vehicle mode. "Hop on in, Kenta. We'll take the scenic route since these wheels were designed for off-road."
Kenta smiled in excitement as he hopped into the driver's seat of Beachcomber's Dune Buggy mode. "Now that's what I'm taking about. Let's ride!" With that said, Beachcomber left drove off with Kenta cheering all the way.
Prowl watched them go with a critical look on his face, but then turned to see Red Alert walking up to him. "Permission to speak freely, commander?" He asked with a cautious look in his eye.
"Granted." Prowl replied.
"Are you sure it's wise to allow this organic int0 our base every so often?" Red Alert asked with his eyes narrowed slightly. "We have much bigger concerns to go over; such as our situation, our limited Energon reserves, communications." His face became more concerned when he spoke next. "Not to mention the fact that we don't know if that Decepticon vessel survived their crash just as we did."
"We will cross each of those bridges in due time Red Alert. Right now our main goal should be salvaging everything we can from our vessel." Prowl said before he looked off in the direction where Beachcomber drove off with Kenta. "Besides, that human may be the key to our survival here on Earth, if he proves himself to us."
"Well, he did show no fear and stood up to you." Red Alert said as he walked off to continue repairs.
Prowl couldn't help but hum in acknowledgment from his medic and engineer crew member. "Yes. Yes, he did." Prowl said with tiniest smirk starting to appear on his face.

Undisclosed location...
"Are you sure this is accurate, Agent Fowler?"
"As accurate as there are four heads on Mount Rushmore, Director." Said a dark-skinned man wearing a blue opened up suit with a tie and short dark hair.
The man stood directly in a large office room with stone walls around, a long table with multiple chairs, but with only one occupant. The man sitting down at the end of the table had short brown hair, light skin, and wore a sandy brown business suit with a black tie.
Along the stone walls of the room was a giant insignia of a shield and at the center was the number 7.
The room was dark, with the only light being the large video screen at the end of the room. The video that was playing was a recording of the live news coverage on the attack on Sodo Industries. More specifically, it was helicopter footage of the giant robots easily destroying the drones outside of the building.
The director sighed as he pressed a button, turning off the screen and turning all the ceiling lights on. "Have we deleted all known copies of the footage?" He asked with his eyes closed in focus.
"We sent in a couple of our agents in to the news station that covered this. We covertly recorded all known copies of it so they won't airing it on the news anymore." Agent Fowler said, though he did give a cringe when he spoke next. "Though, try as we could, we couldn't stop phone footage and people posting about it spreading like wildfire. We're still working long hours trying to take down any sight with any glimpse of footage of these guys."
"I knew this would happen one day." The man said with a sigh, his eyes full of regret as he stood up from his seat. "As much as I hoped they wouldn't, I knew they would come to this world someday."
"So now we gotta ask ourselves this." Agent Fowler said with his eyes narrowed in suspicion. "Are these big guys friendly... or hostile?"
"I guess that's what we have to find out." The director said as he fixed up his tie and headed towards the door out of the office room. "Prep our field agents, Fowler. We're going to Japan."
"I'll get our transport set up for us, sir." Fowler said as he took out his phone. He then gave the director a light smirk as he watched him leave. "Am I to assume you'll be flying in on your own personal transport, director."
"What can I say, Fowler." The director said as he turned back to give a smirk of his own. "I love to fly in style." With that said, he walked ok off to prepare for his flight to Japan.
And for his inevitable meeting with these robot visitors.

Hey everyone, I'm back with a new chapter for you all!
This chapter was both fun to write, but also very difficult at the same time. The reason why this chapter took so long to get out was because I had to go through a lot of rewrites, different ideas, trying to figure out how long it would be, and just how much exposition I wanted to put in hear.
I know that I wanted to have some action here, but let's face it, the Autobots fighting just a bunch of drones just sounds pretty boring. So I had only a snippet of action here while the rest of it was just Kenta getting fully invested and involved with the Autobots. They know they're on an alien world, so everything is unknown to them. Having Kenta be their guide and potential ally seemed like the right call for them.
Also the only call since he was, you know, pretty much kidnapped by Whirl. Still rescued him though.
Anyway, I'm sure you've noticed that I've had quite a bit of Transformers easter eggs and lore from various franchises into this chapter. Bumblebee having his electric stingers fromTransformers Animated, the Decepticons originally being called the Ascenticonslike how it was in the comics, Agent Fowler fromTransformers Prime, and Sector Seven from the Bayverse. There will be a lot more Transformers lore and easter eggs I want to incorporate into this story, and I can't wait.
Now, another thing I want to make note of is that I am going to change an idea I had that I stated in a previous chapter. I originally said that I was going to give my Autobots a small harem, but I changed it to where each Autobot would get a single pairingand have my main character have the harem.I feel like that's much more manageable.
Once again, sorry for the lack of DxD content, but this opening arc is all about the Autobots and their first days on Earth. ThenDxD portion of the story will be coming and the Autobots will have a big impact with events coming forward.
Well then, that's all I have to say. Hope you all like this chapter and are excited for the next one in the future.
Stay healthy, stay safe, and I'll see you all next time.
