Chapter 10

Spinelli has been monitoring Sidwell and notes he's had visitors from Sonny, Lucy, Alexis, Natalia Rameriez, and an unidentified Hispanic man in his mid-30s. "Jason, everything he's doing is under the radar so far."

"I want to know who this man is. Can you find out about the relationship between Natalia and Sidwell?"

"Maxie told me Deception wants to use some minerals Sidwell has. Maybe that's why Natalia went to Wyndmere."

"Sounds like a flimsy excuse to take a launch to Spoon Island."

"Okay, will do. I respond when I know more."

"Thank you."

Jason tells Elizabeth that Sidwell is keeping his distance and is not currently a threat.

Lucas tells Elizabeth about this man she met in Flordia. Lucas got drunk and woke up in the man's hotel room. Nothing happened, but the man recently moved to PC. He's meeting him at the Metro Court for lunch. Elizabeth teases him and wants to know more about him.

Ric visits Ava, and Kristina bangs on her door before they get to their afternoon interlude. Ric hides and Kristina argues and blames Ava for everything that happened to her and her father. She storms out, and Ric and Ava discuss how unhinged Kristina has become.

Ric leaves and exits Ava's garage. He parked in her spot, pissing her off. As he rounds the corner, he passes Jake and Elizabeth. Elizabeth is about to call Triple A because she has a flat, and the spare is flat, too. Ric offers to give them a ride. Elizabeth sighs and agrees. Jake wants to be dropped off at his studio, and Elizabeth needs to return to GH. Ric offers to have her tires fixed and the car towed to GH.

A/N: I'm going the creative GH writing route on brake fluid.

Jason is at his warehouse when he gets the call from GH about Elizabeth and Jake being rushed to GH after a car accident. Ric was driving. Jason speeds over on his bike, swearing that if Ric is responsible, he will break his promises to his sons.

Jason checks with Terry, "How is Jake and Elizabeth?"

"Elizabeth is out of surgery. She hasn't woken up yet. She suffered a broken leg, but they had to insert a pin in it. She will be in a cast for six to eight weeks and will need help at home with household chores. She will need help with bathing, and she cannot drive. Jake is still in surgery. The car rolled, and his head hit against the side of the window. Ric is also still in surgery."

"Can I sit with Elizabeth?"

"Of course."

Jason sits beside Elizabeth and calls Alexis. "Alexis, I'm at GH, and Elizabeth, Jake, and Ric were in a car accident. Molly should know. Could you pick Danny and Aiden up from school? I'm staying at GH until Elizabeth wakes up, so could you bring them here?"

Jason calls Cameron at Stanford. "Cam, it's Jason. Your mother and Jake were in a car accident. Elizabeth has minor injuries, but Jake's are more serious. I can arrange for you to fly back." He calls Laura and asks for her to come to GH. Aiden may need his grandmother.

Jason holds Elizabeth's hand and pleads for her to wake up. He brushes his lips against hers.

Danny and Aiden rush to find information on Elizabeth and Jake. Laura waits outside Elizabeth's room and holds the brothers in her arms. "Honey, Jake is still in surgery. Jason is with Elizabeth. She hasn't woken up yet, but I'll let Jason know you are here.

Jason holds Aiden and Danny. "Aiden, you can sit with her. They only want one person at a time. I'm going to check on your brother. Danny, can you stay with Laura?" Danny nods.

Jason finds out Jake is in recovery and is in a medically induced coma. He goes to the chapel to pray and sees Kristina crying by the cross. She confesses out loud she is responsible for cutting Ric's brakes. She is unaware she has an eavesdropper. "I'm sorry. I thought it was Ava's car. I didn't mean to cut the brakes on Ric's car. Molly can't find out it was me. She will never forgive me if her father doesn't wake up. We just made amends. Elizabeth and Jake, OMG, Jake. If Jason finds out, I don't think Dad can fix that."

Jason is gobsmacked. He was sure it was Ric who was careless.

A/N: This is a short chapter, and I want feedback on Jason's actions. He won't sweep it under the carpet and let Kristina get away with it, but how will he respond?

Confront her directly.

Tell Sonny first and insist on Kristina getting help.

Tell Elizabeth when she wakes up and asks what she wants.

Cops first, questions later.
