Miri's group was waiting for Stiles outside the supermarket.
Of their five-person team only three were going - Miri Chase (leader), Eli Lamb, and Gavin Hardy (Miri's brother Bo and team mate Enzo stayed behind).
Miri, Eli and Gavin all had motorbikes so Stiles took out hers too (she didn't have to worry about taking things out of thin air around her customers, they were used to it).
"I have a map." Taking out the Universal Map she showed it to Miri, a small blue flag marked their current location, after tapping the Fireseed Base the map automatically plotted the best route. "Follow me." She started her engine and whispered, "Its just like riding a bike." She had ridden a motorcycle once or twice but not really as the driver so it was a new experience. Her loud enging attracted zombies while her motorcycles shielding repelled them. The further they travelled the more zombies they came across, and these were faster than the ones she'd seen before.
They stopped on a wide street for a break. Stiles gulped down some water before looking to the group. "A commercial street. How many zombies do you think are nearby?"
"Do you want to train?" Eli asked.
"Yep!"
"Get ready then Gavin will draw some our way."
Stiles drew a Temporary Fire Ability Card, absorbing it into her skin. Just as Gavin shot lightning on the furthest wall.
"Zombies approaching...fast!"
Stiles felt the energy build inside herself and put her hand out willing a flame to burst from it. The zombies were in eyesight now.
A small flame shot from her hand before going out.
"Come on."
Summoning more eneergy she aimed at the closest incoming zombies and put her hand out willing the fire to be bigger this time and it was incinerating 3 zombies at once.
"Whoa!"
Miri stepped forward and helped after letting Stiles take lead and used her wind ability to push the flames towards the other zombies. Within minutes all that remained was ashes and crystal cores.
While the boys picked up the loot, Stiles smiled playing with the flame rolling one over her hand like a crystal ball in the hands of an 80s goblin king. The ability wasn't bad for being a 1-star, and with better control it would get stronger. So for the next hour, that's what the team did...they lured zombies to them and Stiles trained her fire power.
Eli was excited gathering up the crystal cores, "Boss we will split them when we get back."
Stiles shrugged, she already got what she wanted by training her ability. "You guys go for it, I don't need them."
Gavin gave a quiet 'Woot!' "When's the next time we can do this, this has been fun!"
Miri interrupted getting up from where she was leaning against the wall, "Let's go, we shouldn't run behind on our schedule."
"Yeah, Miri is right. We need to focus on getting to Fireseed for now. But on the way back..." She grinned in wolfish manner, "We can play."
Not long after they hopped back on their bikes they had stop as they saw figures up ahead, both Stiles and Miri looked at each other their eyes narrowed in suspicion.
