Prologue: Amazing Fantasy
Considering a big plot point of Ever After High is the characters wanting their own happily ever afters I thought of a character who needs/deserves his own: Peter Parker so I decided to write this. I own nothing.
A young teen with messy brown hair, hazel eyes wakes up from his bed and puts on a pair of glasses. His outfit is a red button shirt, blue jacket, light tan coloured jeans and grey sneakers. His name is Peter Parker.
"Hey Perry." Said Peter petting a teal and orange platypus in his window.
'My name is Peter Parker, I come from a small Charming family on my Mother's side and my father was a knight and scientist, actually both my parents were scientist.' Peter thought to himself.
Peter walks downstairs to see his elderly aunt making breakfast while his Uncle Ben reads a newspaper.
"Can you believe it Pete? A man in a bird costume calling himself the vulture has been robbing places all over Book End." Said Ben.
"I'm just happy we'll never have to worry about you getting up to any dangerous like that Peter." Said May.
'My Aunt May and Uncle Ben, when I was a kid my parents died so I was raised by them as if I was their own son. I don't have many friends at Ever After High, not counting Perry I only have one friend, but Aunt May and Uncle Ben have always been there for me.' Thought Peter. 'Anyone who says anything bad to them can hang for all I care.'
"Don't worry Aunt May, I'm the one Charming who would never seek out danger." Said Peter.
"And I feel better just hearing that." Said May.
"Oh Peter, this came in the mail today." Said Ben handing him a ticket.
"Yes it's the ticket to the new OsCorp tour, thank you for telling me Uncle Ben." Said an excited Peter.
OsCorp…
"And here you can see our new exhibit on Spiders." Said the guide. "I know Spiders are to many far from the most interesting animal but there is more to them than meets the eye. Spider silk is believed to be as strong as steel and these specific 14 spiders were magically experimented by the Evil Queen."
They all gasp.
"Is that safe?" asked Peter because anything related to the Evil Queen has to be bad.
"Don't worry all 14 of these spiders are safely secured in these containers." Responded the guide causing everyone to sigh in relief.
"Um mam, there's only thirteen one's missing." Said one of the other people there.
After checking herself the guide responds. "Dr. Conners must have taken it for study.
What no one knows is that the Spider did get out and crawls down to Peter's hand that is laying on a table and he gets bitten by the magical Spider.
"OW!" said Peter who runs off.
Peter's hands start shaking. "What's happening to me? I feel different as though my entire body is charged with some sort of fantastic energy." Just then Peter hears the honking from a car about to run him over so he jumps landing on top of a building. "What's happening to me, how did I make that jump?" Peter grabs a pipe on the building and crushes it.
'That's impossible I've always been the least athletic kid in school, heck the girls wearing high heels could outrun me.' Thought Peter who looks at his hand to see the spider bite. 'It must have been the spider the magic in the spider when it bit me gave me the powers of a spider.'
After Peter heads home he notices overhears his aunt and uncle talk about money.
'I know they always try to hide it but rich we are not. Yeah I know my mother was a Charming but her family was never as big as Daring and Dexter's family and as the generations went on the less money we had.' Thought Peter Parker. 'I wish there was someway to help them.'
Peter turns on the TV while working with a set of potions to make something for his new personal project.
"And Crusher Hogun wins again in one blow. If any amateur wrestler cany last three minutes in the ring with him they will win 3,000 Shillings." Announced the wrestling announcer.
'With this power I not only can help my Aunt and Uncle but I could be more than puny Parker always looked down on and picked on by Flash Charming, mocked by Duchess or Faybelle and the loser boy without a destiny, I could be famous.' Thought Peter.
After finishing and testing out his new web-shooters Peter started drawing up some possible costumes for his wrestler gimmick.
The first was one with a red and dark blue, a large red spider, yellow lenses and a cape made out of webbing.
The second was an idea for a Spider-Knight.
The third was all black with a trench coat, googles and possibly a fedora.
An all-black costume with a glowing green spider and glowing green eyes.
An all-red bodysuit with a blue hoodie with a big spider logo on the hoodie and his web-shooters visible on his wrists.
In the end Peter finally went with the iconic Spidey suit that needs no description, although he did leave a note of possibly replacing the black spider with a white one.
"Brbrbr." Said Perry looking at Peter's drawings.
"You tell no one about this." Said Peter but the platypus just gave him a blank expression so Peter gave the 'I'm watching you' gesture.
Unfortunately, Peter can't afford to make any of the costumes he wants and can't sow so he is stuck with a red shirt with spider emblems on the front and back, a red balaclava, white and red gloves, blue pants and red shoes.
The Library…
Uncle Ben drives Peter to the library but it is actually so Peter can sneak off to go to the wrestling match.
"I'll come back to pick you up later Pete." Said Ben.
"Thank you Uncle Ben." Said Peter who was about to leave but Peter ask his uncle something. "Hey, Uncle Ben, if you suddenly became very talented at something better than anything else what would you do?"
"Is this about school because I never cared about destiny or everyone's obsession with it, Peter you're a good kid, you have a right to choose yourself who you want to be, every kid deserves that, but if your just talking about being better than everyone, I don't believe anyone is better than everyone else, it's like I always told you Peter: With great power comes great responsibility."
"Thank you, Uncle Ben." Said Peter who walks out and waits until Ben leaves. 'Uncle Ben's right I do have the power so my responsibility is to use it to help my family.'
After successfully sneaking to the wrestling match and putting on his costume Peter walks up to the announcer.
"What's your name kid?"
"The Human Spider." Answered Peter.
The announcer puts down his sunglasses and looks to Peter. "The Human Spider, that's it that's the best you got?"
"Yeah."
The announcer shakes his head. "Well that sucks." He then goes up to announce the next figtht: "The sum of 3,000 shillings will be paid to the terrifying, the deadly, the AMAZING SPIDER-MAN!"
The lights look towards Peter who looks back to the people in the stand. "My name's the Human Spider."
"No body cares get out."
"No he got my name wrong." He is then pushes Peter forward who walks into the arena.
Then the cage came down causing the cheering fans to cheer louder.
"Hey, wait there's some kind of mistake I didn't sign up of a cage match." But Peter is ignored. "Hey unlock the thing, take the chain off."
"Hey freak show." Yelled Hogun getting Peter's attention. "Your going nowhere. I got you for three minutes, three minutes of play time."
The crusher charged at Peter who just jumped to avoid it and is hanging on the cage.
"You know that's a nice outfit." Said Peter.
"Thanks my husband made it for our anniversary." Said Crusher.
"Well he did a good job, so I'll try not to ruin it." Siad Peter who flips back to the ground and Crusher tires to charge at him again but Peter uses his newly developed Web-Shooters to make webs to avoid it.
Peter started feeling a tingling sensation in his head but was unsure what it meant when Crusher hit him with a chair. After two more times Crusher threw the chair away and bashed Peter into the edges of the cage.
Realizing he needs to fight back, when Crusher charges in to hit him again Peter kicked him in the chest repeatedly until he knocked him into the edge and then pins him down.
"1…2…3 Winner!" said the ref holding Spider-Man's hands in the air. "Give it up for our new champion: Spider-Man!" and the crows starts cheering Peter's name.
"What do you mean no money?" asked Peter to the manager after the fight with his mask still on.
"The contract said 3 minutes you won in 1." Said the manager.
"But I need that money." Pleaded Peter.
"I missed the part where that was my problem." Replied the manager.
"Hey someone stop that guy!" yelled a security guard chasing a burglar who Peter gets a good look at his face.
"Nice outfit." Said the thief escaping."
"Why didn't you stop that guy?" asked the security guard.
"Not my problem." Said Peter who walks off.
After getting dressed back in his regular clothes Peter walks around Book End seeing a bunch of people gathering together and he sees the police and hears what their saying.
"I heard his car was stolen."
"That poor old man."
"Does he have any family?"
'No, please, don't be true.' Thought Peter who pushes past the crows to see Uncle Ben stabbed in the chest.
"What happened?" asked Peter.
"Car jacker. He's been stabbed. We just called the paramedics their on their way." Said the officer.
"Uncle Ben." Said a worried Peter. "Uncle Ben!"
Ben slowly opens his eyes to see Peter: "Peter."
"I'm here Uncle Ben." Said Peter who began tearing up and takes his dying Uncle's hand.
"Peter…" Ben closes his eyes letting go of Peter's hand laying dead.
"We've got the thief. He's headed south on Fifth Avenue, we got three officers in pursuit."
"All right folks come on help us move back."
Hearing where the thief is Peter leaves to go after the killer himself.
After much running the killer escaped into an abandoned warehouse and catches his breath.
"Did you really think you could escape me?" said Peter hanging on the wall startling the killer. Peter jumps down onto the thief and violently punches him. "A fly can never escape a spider's web." Peetr then throws the man who killed his uncle into the wall.
"Please just let me go." Pleaded the killer.
"Ben Parker, that man you murdered in cold blood, did you LET HIM GO?!"
Peter grabs the mans throat but then he gets a good look at the killers face.
'No' thought Peter letting him go. 'It was the same robber from the wrestling match, Uncle Ben is dead because of me, because I let him go, this is all my fault.'
The cops arrive to find the killer webbed up while Peter left.
Peter is no longer wearing his mask and starts bawling his eyes out in sadness on some random tower when an old man with a recognizable Mustache and sunglasses put his head out the window.
"Hey what's… oh you okay kid?" asked the old man.
"No." Peter answered bluntly not even caring the old man is seeing his face.
"Talking about it might help." Said the old man.
Reluctantly Peter explains everything because he needs someone to talk to and he can't bring himself to tell Aunty May that it is his fault her husband is dead.
The old man nods not questioning or judging Peter on his decisions or if his story is true but just looks at him with an understanding look. "You know the crazy thing is that it reminds he of an old comic book character called The Fly."
"Uh yeah." Said Peter. 'While I may not be into comic books, my best friend Hunter likes them and showed me a Fly comic once but I never read it, I preferred the Captain Story comics.'
"In the comic Patterson Palmer was a lot like you, a nerd, bullied, had trouble with girls, but then one day he was stung by a radioactive fly and gained all the powers of a fly, but he didn't just decide he wanted to use his powers for the good of man kind, no he wanted to help his poor family because they were the only people he cared for so he started booking gigs as a talent star but one day he let a thief go and that same thief killed his father."
Peter is shocked to hear how his best friend's favourite comic book character had such a similar story to him.
"After realizing his mistake Palmer decided never again will I look the other way and used his powers to become a superhero: The Fly."
"You know my uncle used to tell me that with great power there must also come great responsibility." Said Peter.
"He sounded like a wise man, a good man, I know you'll miss him for the rest of your life but you have gifts and your uncle said that with great power comes great responsibility." Said the old man. "So do you mind if I ask what are you going to do now?"
Peter thinks for a few moments before answering. "I don't think I can ever turn a blind eye again. I have this great power but thought my responsibility was to help my family but maybe there is more to use these powers, maybe I can help people like The Fly in that comic book."
"Nuff said, now maybe you should go see your Aunt, I think she needs her nephew right now." Said the old man.
"Oh curses I forgot about May." Said Peter who puts back on his mask. "Thank you for the talk it really helped me."
Peter started using his webs to swing around to head home when he sees a purse snatching.
Peter leaps down and webs the purse snatcher to a tree and takes the bag to give to the woman.
"Here you go mam." Said Peter.
"Oh thank you."
Peter than leaves.
"Uncle Ben I promise you that from now on I'm going to use these powers responsibly. Though the world may mock Peter Parker timid teenager. It will soon marvel at the awesome might of… Spider-Man."
And that the prologue, I love the Sam Raimi Spider-Man movies they got me into Spider-Man as a kid and were the first superhero movies I ever saw so I added some stuff from there. This Peter can't sow so he'll need someone to make his costume for him but he will get the classic Spider-Man costume soon. Perry if you're a fan of a certain Disney cartoon is exactly who you think he is and if a Platypus sounds weird reminder that in a webisode an aardvark appeared so I'm assuming all animals can exist. Also this is the summer before the events of Ever After High start so Peter will be going back to school in Chapter 1. although not really much changes to his story I just did this as a prologue before we get into the main story.
