Jumpchain is an estranged sister to CYOA (Choose Your Own Adventure) game where you travel to various fictional worlds (from books, movies, tv shows, anime,video games, ect) with the aid of your Benefactor, also known as Jump-Chan by more experienced Jumpers, in exchange for providing them entertainment. The point is to have a series of adventures where you can be a character in your favorite stories, change the plot for good or ill, or simply watch from the shadows and work on your own thing. You can take on a series of pre-determined roles within the world or you can "drop-in" as you are. Everyone has their own play-style and their own paths.

Meta : no such thing as jump documents. Sections of perks drawback etc is made by an esoteric mean that takes in consideration probable individual choices/ tendencies and varying patron wishes for the experiment.

Complications

Most of those apply only to Jumper, not to the companions. They can return home and not have to worry about death.

~Uncertain Schedule : Jump can last from 15 years to the extent of the incarnation natural life and they pull you out of the jump whenever they see fit.

~ No- Death is not the end :
no Chain-fail will not send him home. He will only go home after a certain amount of jumps he does not know how many. Death before acceptable schedule only leads to time spent in a patron ruled afterlife jumper calls Limbo.

~Never-Ending Chain
Modified, He is Tod the chain will end eventually, and most likely in less than 100 jumps but he knows nothing for certain. It could be anything from 10 to 99. Or, If the patrons are messing with him ( which he cannot know for sure) it can go for hundreds or even thousands of jumps

~Modified- Entertain Me : Quest Up Jumper must take Patron missions. Not following this missions means time in limbo.

This complications causes jumps end when your Jumper dies, not after 10 years, and they begin the next jump as a newborn or infant. Dying Whenever the patron decides to recall him.

What IS Jumpchain, really? Sure, it's a single-player imagination game, but it's also a community, and a creative outlet. For every jump taken, before another is begun, you must write at least 1000 words dedicated to your Jumper's adventures there. Posting your write fagging is STRONGLY recommended. This Complication can be chosen up to 10 times.

- origins work by this system :

It reincarnates your soul into a new body but without your memories.
The memories stay locked until the " beginning of the jump" , but the inserted being is still you, keeping or rediscovering much of your personality. Though events of the new life have their influence still.
Once the "Jump starts" all your memories and powers come back.
