Katniss goes to see Haymitch on the morning of his birthday, formerly known as Reaping Day, and finds him already working through bottles of white liquor, drunker than he's been in a long time. She pulls him away from the bottle and talks to him about the Games and Lenore Dove. Language warning.

Dove-Iris may have been born in the Districts, but as far as her grandmother and the new government of Panem were concerned, she was a Capitol citizen, which made her a candidate for the Capitol Hunger Games. 13 groups, with 4 kids in each. This is anticipated to be the biggest and most intense Hunger Games.

We now know Haymitch’s tragic story from SOTR. This story follows Haymitch through HG into MJ, his role in the successful rebellion, etc. Will be spoilers, read AFTER finishing SOTR.
