85. Hoenn Region 39

Ash, Serena, May and Max have left the Lilycove City several days ago, and have started their way toward the Mossdeep City, the site of the second-to-last gym Ash and Serena have to defeat in order to qualify for the Hoenn League.

Unlike their usual way of travel, where they go by foot, this time they have to cross a good part of the ocean, in order to reach the island where Mossdeep City is located. As such, Ash activated his two Lapras's so that they can take them to Mossdeep.

Of course, the island where Mossdeep City is located, isn't the closest island to Lilycove City. There are many other islands in between, and the gang has visited several of them, spending a single day and a night on each one, so that they can explore and train a little with their Pokemon - especially their new Pokemon which will need a lot of training and a time to get used to the new ways of training since the way they were trained by their previous trainers, is nothing compared to hell, Ash, and to a smaller extent May, would put them through.

As for Serena, seeing that she has a lot of new Pokemon and wanting to focus on them for a while, she decided to put several of her older Pokemon through an increased training regimen for a few days, so that they can train and learn as much as possible, because she decided that once she arrives in the Mossdeep City, she will send them back at Oak's Lab, so that she can make room for her new Pokemon and then start to train them.

With Delphox being her first Pokemon and the only one she always has with her, it means that Serena only has five slots for other Pokemon to have with her and train. She thought of which Pokemon, of the ones she caught in Hoenn, she should keep with her and put through an increased training, and in the end she decided to go with Bagon, Kirlia, Corphish, Marshtomp and Magneton. This has left her Swellow and Torkoal outside of training, but she will give them some training some other time. For now, she decided on the five which can evolve once or twice more, as Swellow is in her final form, while Torkoal can't evolve, so they can wait.

While training on one of the islands, Serena's Corphish and Bagon evolved, making her and them very happy, the happiest being Bagon, because now that he is Shelgon, it means that he is one form away from evolving into a Salamence, and being able to fly.

When it comes to her Kirlia, it is actually powerful enough to evolve, and would have evolved by now, if it was a female Kirlia. It would have evolved into Gardevoir. But since it's a male Kirlia, it can only evolve into a Gallade when exposed to a Dawn Stone. A stone which Serena doesn't have at that moment, and will need to buy if she wants her Kirlia to evolve, which she does want. The same goes for the Kirlia, who can't wait to evolve, and become stronger then he currently is, which is quite strong, actually. Kirlia, even though it's not fully evolved, is the strongest of all Pokemon that Serena has caught in Hoenn Region, including her new Pokemon.

Then there are Marshtomp and Magnetone. Marshtomp is quite strong. Almost as strong as Kirlia, and is close to evolve. Serena is sure that by the time she gets her eight badge, Marshtomp would have evolved into a Swampert. As for Magneton, it is a relatively new Pokemon in Serena's team, and one that didn't have much training with her, as many things have happened to Serena since she caught it in the Valley of Steel. Magneton is far from evolving, as Serena doesn't think that it's ready. Even if it was ready, Magnetone can only evolve under special magnetic field, which only exists at specific places in the world, in Hoenn Region that place being New Mauvile. The other way for Magneton to evolve is with a Thunder Stone, which Serena doesn't have, but since Magneton is not strong enough to evolve at this point, Serena won't have to buy a Thunder Stone for a while. She decided that when the time comes, she will buy a Thunder Stone to evolve her Magnetone, since it's much easier then to go to some place just so Magnetone can evolve.

Finally, the last two of Serena's Hoenn Pokemon, Swellow and Torkoal. They are in their final or only forms, and can't evolve any more. As such, she will leave them at Oak's Lab for a while. She did help them learn some moves which will make them stronger, and then told them that while they are at the lab, they can train with other Pokemon and improve, like her old Pokemon are currently doing. The two Pokemon agreed to that and were happy to have a free time to constantly train, and battle against other strong Pokemon, instead of going from place to place and only getting occasional training.

Unlike Serena who decided to first focus on her older unevolved Pokemon, May decided to train her new ones more than her old one, and to switch them more regularly.

Of her old Pokemon, her first Pokemon is Combusken, who still hasn't evolved into Blaziken, and still has a way to go until he will. Neither May nor Combusken are in a hurry for him to evolve, though. May might prefer Ghost and Rock types, but Combusken is her first Pokemon and she will always bring him with her wherever she goes. As such, he will receive enough training no matter what and will evolve when ready.

Then there are Swellow, Beautifly, Sableye, and Exploud. None of them can evolve anymore, so they can be left at Birch's Lab, so that they can train by themselves. Still, Sableye will spend more time with May as it's a Ghost Type, and she has a Mega Stone for him, along with a Key Stone. As such, May wants to practice more with him, until they form a necessary bond for the Pokemon to Mega Evolve.

May's Lombre, Skitty and Bulbasaur, are not that new, and have been with May for some time, and she has trained them quite a bit. She has decided to leave them at Birch's lab for a little while, so she can focus on her newest Pokemon. The three Pokemon weren't exactly happy with that, but they understand that May can't have all of her Pokemon with her all the time and that some will have to stay at the lab, while some are with her. They also know that May loves all of her Pokemon equally, but prefers Ghost and Rock Types and would want to train more with them. As such, while they aren't happy, they are understanding, and will listen to May and agree with any decision she makes.

Finally, there are the newest addition to May's team. The three Pokemon she caught in the Safari Zone, which were Geodude, Rhydon, and Corsola, and the ten Pokemon she got at the Swap Meet; Rolycoly, Nacli, Bramblin, Greavard, Cursola, Dreepy, Rockruff, Sandygast, Mimikyu, and Dhelmise. The 13 of them are all Ghost and Rock Type Pokemon and thus, are her favorites. She wants to spend the most time training them, as they are the Pokemon which will help her to one day become the greatest Rock and Ghost Type trainer in the world.

Of course, she can't train all 13 of them at the same time. With her Combusken and Sableye being always with her, she only has enough slots for four more Pokemon, which means that she will have to switch four Pokemon ever few days, in order to be able to train all of them. So far, she didn't have to do that, as she didn't have that many Pokemon, but with 13 new Pokemon, she will have to do it, and will have to up the training of all of them, so that they can become stronger, faster.

Ash is in a much better position than the girls, though. He has caught 10 Pokemon since he came to the Hoenn Region, and that's including the three he got for himself at the Swap Meet. Since he can carry up to 12 Pokemon with him at all times, that means that he can train all 10 of them, and not have to worry about switching them.

Right now, Ash has the 10 Pokemon he caught in Hoenn, with him, along with the two Lapras's, which means that he has 12 Pokemon, and if he was to catch another one, he would have to send someone back at Oaks' Lab. But, he isn't in a hurry to catch more Pokemon. He was never one for catching many Pokemon, let alone all of them, like some trainers wish. He is satisfied with a certain amount of Pokemon, since it gives him time to train all of them equally, which wouldn't be very hard if he catches like… two dozen Pokemon per region. He has only went that far in Kanto, and knows how hard it was to train all of them, so he won't be making the same mistake.

Now, besides the three Pokemon he got for himself at the Swap Meet, he also has seven others, which he got for his girlfriends, and has planned to give them to them for their birthdays. But then he has thought about it, and realized that giving a Pokemon for a birthday to your girlfriend, might not be such a good idea. It's not a bad idea, but it's not that personal of a gift. It's not something you give to your girlfriend for their birthday. Not to mention that few of his girlfriend's birthdays won't be anytime soon, so he will have to keep those Pokemon at Oak's Lab for a while. That's a bother and a waste of time for those Pokemon, so he has decided that he will give his girlfriends, and his sister, other gifts for their birthdays, while he will simply send them the Pokemon right away.

That's exactly what he did. He called Professor Oak, and told him about what he wants. Then he sent the seven Pokemon to Oak's Lab, where the old professor will then send all the Pokemon to Ash's girls through the transfer machine, as Ash can't do that unless he has less than 12 Pokemon with him. In the case he has 12 Pokemon with him, the Poke Balls lock-up and shrink, meaning that at that point, he can only send them at Oak's Lab and nowhere else. With less than 12 Pokemon, he would be able to send the Pokemon anywhere he wants, that has a transfer machine to connect the transfer to.

After he talked with Oak, Ash called all of the girls who he plans to send the gifts, and after they talked for a little bit, he told them to expect something he sent them, and that Professor Oak will be the one who will send it for him.

Ash has done all that the morning before he left the Lilycove City with Serena, May and Max. From there on, he has trained his Pokemon, every time the gang has stopped on one of the islands on their way to the Mossdeep City. With the 12 Pokemon with him, two of which are Lapras's, who are carrying them across the sea, meaning that he isn't training them, as they are already getting exercise by swimming across the ocean; it means that Ash only has 10 Pokemon to train, which is perfect for him, as they are all with him.

Of all the Pokemon he has with him, not counting the two Lapras's, the strongest are Dusknoir, Swellow and Milotic. They are all the Pokemon in their final forms, and Ash has already helped them learn pretty much all the moves they can learn, so now all they have to do it train their bodies and stamina in order to get stronger. In order for that to happen, Ash has all three of them constantly spar with each other. He believes that that is the best way for them to improve. He will keep this up for a few more weeks, before he sends them back to the Oak's Lab, so they can train there with his other Pokemon.

As for his other Pokemon, Combusken, Grovyle, and Shiny Metang, are all mid-stage Pokemon, and can evolve once more. As such, Ash is focusing on helping them learn few more moves, so that when they do evolve into their final forms, they will only have to focus on their physical and combat training, and not on learning new moves.

Finally, the weakest four Pokemon he currently has with him are his Mudkip, who keeps training and gaining power, but somehow doesn't seem to be willing to evolve. Ash has no problem with that, and is fine with waiting for the Water Type to evolve when he is ready. The other three are the three newest additions to the team. Two of them are in their initial forms, and are not that strong, so there is a lot of job to be done with them. As for the third, a Ghost Type Gholdengo is a Pokemon in its final stage, and as such, is powerful, but its old trainer isn't like Ash and doesn't train his Pokemon like Ash does. As such, even though it's in its final form, Gholdengo is actually on the same level of skill and power as Mudkip, who is just in his first form. As such, there is a long road for the Ghost Type Pokemon, to reach the level of power necessary to compete with Ash's Pokemon, even the ones who are on the weaker side.

There is another Pokemon that Ash wants to help with training very soon. His Primeape is extremely powerful, but now that Ash has learned that Primeape can evolve one more time, he wants to help him learn Rage Fist and then put him through some battles, so that Primeape can use it and eventually evolve.

But, since he has 12 Pokemon with him, he will have to wait until he sends at least one of them at Oak's Lab, so that he can then bring Primeape to his team and train him. Until then, he can wait. He isn't in a hurry. Besides, Primeape will have to learn Rage Fist and then use it at least 20 times in battle, to be able to evolve into Annihilape, and that's going to take a while, especially if he uses Rage Fist only once per battle.

Once again, the gang were riding on the back of Ash's two Lapras's, as they were going toward the next island, on their way to Mossdeep City.

The last Island they visited, they left this morning, and have been going toward the next for several hours now, and thus they are getting bored… which is a common occurrence every time they travel this way.

"This way of traveling never gets more fun, or easier to handle," Max groaned, as he and Ash were riding on one Lapras, while Serena and May were on the other. "I'm bored as all hell."

"We all are," May said. "But I agree with Ash. This is cheaper way to travel. We can't ask Ash to pay for all of us the tickets for the ferry, and we wouldn't have money to buy them ourselves every time we go from one island to the other."

"I wouldn't mind buying all of us tickets for the ferry," Ash said. "But I find this way of traveling better. We might not be able to relax as we would on the ferry, but this way, my Lapras's can swim around, which they miss a lot when they are at Oak's Lab. There is only so much they can swim around the coast of Pallet Town. On top of that, we can do some water battles. There are rare opportunities for that, while we travel on land, or if we were to travel on ferry."

"I understand, Ash," Max said. "I just wish it's not this boring most of the time."

"How far are we from the next island?" Serena asked.

"There is still few hours for us to get there," Max said, as he was looking at his PokéNav. "Though the island we are heading toward is uninhabited, so we won't find anything there."

"What island is that?" May asked.

"It's Monsu Island," Max said. "The island's steep and rocky shoreline makes it largely inaccessible, though you can fly there with an aircraft, or a helicopter, or even a flying type Pokemon. The island has no humans on it, and the only thing noteworthy are a volcano and some ancient temple close to the shore, though no one really knows what the temple is about."

"Could be interesting to check it out," Serena said.

"It could," Max said. "But if we stop there to check it out, then we won't be able to get to the next island today. We would have to spend the night on Monsu and then leave in the morning."

"How far is the Mossdeep City from here?" May asked.

"It's the next island after Monsu," Max said. "But again, we are already close to noon. If we skip Monsu and head straight to Mossdeep, we can make it before the nightfall. If we stop at Monsu, we can't make it to Mossdeep today."

"It doesn't matter if we arrive there tomorrow and not today," Ash said. "One day won't make any difference, and if we stop at Monsu Island it will give us a chance to explore it, maybe do some training and for my Lapras's to rest for a while."

"I agree," Serena said.

In the end, May and Max also agreed with Ash, and so, it was decided that they will make a stop at Monsu Island.

None of them knew at that moment though, that they won't be getting at Monsu Island on their own accord.

Ash, Serena, May and Max were currently seating in the office of the Team Magma leader.

As they were on their way to the Monsu Island, a submarine suddenly came from below the sea and to the surface right below Ash's two Lapras's, making both Pokemon and the kids ride on top of the submarine.

They were quickly spotted by the members of the Team Magma, and they were all taken, along with the submarine to a rather large ship, which obviously belongs to the Team Magma and seems to be their base of operation. From there, they met the Leader of the Team Magma, whose name is Maxie, and then they were taken to his office, where they are currently seating on the sofa, while surrounded by the members of Team Magma, along with a pack of Mightyena, who were growling at them, making May and Max freak out.

Now normally, Ash wouldn't be caught dead my some villains and their Pokemon, but in this case, it happened because he decided not to fight back, and simply let himself and his friends be captured. He did this because he wanted to find out what they are planning to do, once and for all, and once he does find out, he will put a stop at it. He has no intention of letting Team's Aqua and Team Magma, destroy the world with their stupidity.

Thus, as he was seating on the sofa in the office of the Leader of Team Magma, Ash was having a telepathic conversation with Mewtwo. 'Stay hidden for now, and only reveal yourself in case things go wrong and Rayquaza shows up.' Ash said to his strongest Pokemon, who was currently staying hidden somewhere on the Team Magma's ship.

Ash has called Mewtwo the moment he and the others were caught by Team Magma, and told him to teleport to them, and they wait for further instructions. Ash has a feeling that in the event that Groudon and Kyogre start fighting, Rayquaza might show up, and if that happens, he will need Mewtwo's help to take care of Rayquaza, while he will use some other of his Pokemon to deal with the other two ancient Pokemon.

'Understood, Ash.' Mewtwo replied through Telepathy.

While Ash and the others were in the in the office with the members of Team Magma, a dark skinned woman, dressed as a member of Team Magma, snuck into the large chamber inside of the Team Magma's ship. At the entrance of the chamber, she took down two guards, before she entered inside.

This woman is Shelly, a high ranking member of Team Aqua. She has snuck inside of the Team Magma base of operation, in order to release Kyogre from the imprisonment in which Team Magma was holding it.

Back inside of Maxie's office, Maxie was seating behind his desk, surrounded by his subordinates, while Ash, Serena, May and Max were seating on the sofa right in front of Maxie, also surrounded by the members of Team Magma, so that they won't try to escape.

Maxie looked at the four kids, and noticed that while Serena, May and Max looked a little bit on edge, and slightly afraid, Ash looked completely calm, as if nothing is happening.

"Considering the fact that you have been captured," Maxie spoke, while looking at Ash. "You seem to be very calm. Why is that, Ash?"

Ash looked at Maxie with a smirk on his face. "Captured, isn't a word I would use here," Ash said, confusing everyone. "We weren't 'captured', because we couldn't defend ourselves. We were 'captured' because I let you capture us."

Everyone except Serena, May and Max, were looking at Ash as if he was crazy. "And why would you do that," Maxie asked with a frown on his face? "What do you gain from it?"

"We've crossed paths with members of your organization, several times now," Ash said. "The same goes for Team Aqua. So far, we were able to find out that for some reason, you want to control Groudon, while Team Aqua, wants to control Kyogre. What I don't know is, why? And that's exactly why I let you capture us."

"So, you believe that I will tell you about our plans," Maxie questioned? "What makes you believe that?"

"You are a villain," Ash said with a smirk. "One thing that all villains have in common is that they like to talk a lot about their plans. They like to brag. Why would you be any different?"

"I see," Maxie smirked at what Ash said. "I guess there is no reason not to tell you about our goal. Seeing that you already know what we are after, and I have a feeling that this can go south for all of us if you decide to fight us. I know who you are, Ash. I know what you did on Mt. Chimney, and I know how dangerous you are."

Ash shrugged. "I'm only dangerous if someone provokes me," he said. "Normally, I'm really calm, especially after I found some stuff to do that keep me calm."

Many raised their eyebrows at that, while Serena and May blushed up a storm. They knew what Ash was talking about.

The blushes were missed by almost everyone, except one member of the Team Magma. It was a woman with pink hair and pink eyes, wearing a red and gray uniform with a hoodie, just like the other members of Team Magma, except Maxie, who just wears a red suit. She saw the blushes and the looks on Serena's and May's faces, and had a feeling that she knew what Ash was doing that makes him calm. She smirked at the thought, and looked at Ash. "He's a really good looking kid," she thought in her head. "I wonder if I can get my hands on him in the future. I mean, if 'she' did… then why shouldn't I?"

"Is that so?" Maxie questioned Ash, after he heard what Ash said.

"That so." Ash confirmed, while looking Maxie directly in the eyes, with the Team Magma leader doing the same to Ash. After a few moments of silence and starting at each other, Maxie smiled, and spoke again.

"Team Magma's sole purpose is to unravel the mysteries of our planet, and in doing so we will build a better world for everyone. Our goals are completely different then Team Aqua's. They are just a bunch of crooks."

"You are after the ancient Pokemon, which are considered Legendary for a reason," Serena suddenly spoke. "You understand that, don't you? You won't be able to catch them just by wishing it."

"We know that," Maxie said with a smirk. "But we already have our ancient Pokemon. Not only that, but we also have a blue orb, which gives us the ability to control the ancient Pokemon." Here, an orb appeared from inside of Maxie's desk. It was a simple looking completely blue orb, and it doesn't look like there is anything special about it.

Serena, May and Max were shocked by the news that Team Magma has captured an ancient Pokemon and can now control it. Ash on the other hand, only sighed. He believes that whoever has created an orbs to control Pokemon like Groudon and Kyogre, must be insane. He also believes that Maxie, and Team Magma, along with the Team Aqua and their leader, are a pack of fools if they believe that controlling ancient Pokemon will be that easy, even if they have something which seemingly gives them control over the ancient Pokemon.

"To ease human sorrow from the floods, long ago Groudon dispelled storm clouds and caused volcanos to erupt, forming more inhabitable land," Maxie spoke again, continuing his explanation. "Our goal is to use Groudon in the same way and to establish direct contact to their ancient world. The power that this world holds is way beyond measure, but even as we speak, Team Aqua works against us and seeks to find Kyogre whose power opposes Groudon. What they don't know is that, we already have the Kyogre they seek in our possession."

"How the hell did you capture Kyogre?" Max asked.

"It doesn't matter how," Maxie said. "What matters is that having it, is useless to us, but we still thought it would be helpful to ruin Team Aqua's plans. But then we discovered that Team Aqua has captured Groudon." Maxie said with an angry look on his face.

The gang were all shocked that both ancient Pokemon were caught… well, better said, two out of three ancient Pokemon were caught, but none of the four of them said that. None of them is actually sure if Team Magma even knows about Rayquaza.

"Regrettably, the blue orb can only control Groudon," Maxie spoke again. "Team Aqua has a possession of a red orb, but that orb can only control Kyogre. The bottom line is that both groups have a Pokemon which are unable to control. It's for that reason we are on the way to the Monsu Island, where I hope to be able to exchange our Pokemon.

"That being said… we can't have kids get in our way," Maxie looked at the man standing next to him and said to him. "Tabitha, lock them all right away."

"Yes sir!" Tabitha said to the boss.

Ash looked at Maxie and Tabitha with a smirk on his face. "And exactly how do you plan to do that?" He asked the Team Magma boss, who looked at Ash, and actually got a few sweat drops on his face. He really didn't want trouble at this point, and he knew that Ash can cause a lot of trouble and destruction.

Before anything else could be said, the alarm sounded across the base.

"The hell is that?" Max shouted after he and the others jumped from the sofa.

Maxie pressed a button on the phone on his desk, before he asked what is happening. He got an information from the other side that there was a malfunction in Kyogre' cargo hold.

This shocked Maxie and the other Team Magma members, along with Ash and the others.

Back in the cargo hold, Shelly was able to release Kyogre from the trap it was in, and the ancient water type broke through the ship and went outside in the ocean.

By breaking through the ship's hull, and pretty much destroying the cargo hold, Kyogre caused an explosion, which shocked the Team Magma's ship, causing many people across the ship to stumble or fall on the floor. Only few were able to stay on their feet, among them Ash, Tabitha, and the pink haired girl from Team Magma.

Shelly came out from the ship, and stood at the edge of it, next to the railing. She has a communication mike attached to her ear. "This is Shelly," she said in the mike, with a smile on her face. "The plan was a success." She then removed Team Magma uniform, revealing her normal Team Aqua uniform. Then, she jumped over a railing and into the ocean.

Back inside Maxie's office, Maxie was getting a report on the damage on the ship. The voice was speaking through the phone. "Fire in the engine room! Damage to the port side! We are sinking!"

Maxie started giving orders, but then there was another explosion behind him, which caused the blue orb to fly in the air, much to everyone's shock.

"Mightyena, catch that orb!" Tabitha shouted at the three Pokemon standing guard. They all jumped at the same time toward the orb, and were about to catch it… when suddenly the orb flew away from them, and toward Ash, who caught it, again, to everyone's shock.

"You didn't really think that I will let you get the orb… did you?" He asked Maxie, while looking at him, Tabitha and Courtney, the pink haired woman.

"How did you do that?" Maxie growled at Ash.

"I'm a Psychic," Ash said. "How else do you think I could have done it?"

Suddenly, a red pattern appeared on the blue orb, and it started pulsing. Ash looked at the orb, and got a far-away look on his face, while the others were looking at the orb and Ash with a confused look on their face.

"Get that orb back!" Maxie ordered his man… and woman, though he wasn't so sure they will succeed, and had a bad feeling about what's going to happen next.

The orb glowed one more time, before it suddenly sank into Ash's hand, much to everyone's shock and disbelief.

Mightyena went after Ash, as they were ordered by Tabitha, but Ash's eyes glowed red, and he gained a red pattern around his eyes and on his forehead. He took one look at the incoming Mightyena, and they fell on the floor, as if they've died on the spot.

"W-What the hell was that," Max asked looking wide-eyed at what Ash has done?

"And what's with that pattern on Ash's face?" May asked.

None answered though, as none knew what was going on. They just stood there and watched Ash, who was also just standing there, doing nothing after he took down the three Mightyena.

Suddenly, there was another explosion, which threw the members of Team Magma across the floor.

"We should get away from here," Serena suggested, and May and Max agreed. Ash was still quiet, though. "Ash, we need to go!"

Serena, May and Max started to run away, without actually looking to see if Ash is following them. Ash didn't follow them though. He has moved, but he didn't go after the others. He went the other way, toward unknown location, leaving the Team Magma members behind.

"I want Ash caught no matter what it takes!" Maxie yelled at his subordinates, after he saw Ash walk away from them. He was surprised that Ash didn't follow his friends though. "And find those other kids. We might be able to use them to catch Ash, and retrieve the Blue Orb."

"Right away, sir!" Tabitha said, before he and several other ran after Serena, May and Max, while Courtney and few others, went after Ash.

A sight distance away from the Team Magma ship, a Team Aqua submarine came to the surface of the ocean. On top of the submarine, Shelly was standing along with a Team Aqua leader, Archie. Archie was wearing a fully black suit, along with a blue bandana on his head.

"Sir, we have successfully released Kyogre from Team Magma's ship, according to plan." Shelly said.

"Excellent work, Shelly," Archie said. "You have once again proven yourself worthy of my trust. Now though. We should get the show on the road." Archie rose his right hand in which he was holding a red orb, toward the sky. The orb was glowing red, and giving off strong beams of light, as Archie was shouting. "Convey our will to Kyogre, great red orb, and allow this great power to be released NOW!"

Suddenly, from below the surface of the ocean, Kyogre flew into the air, right in front of the Team Aqua submarine.

"Kyogre, it is time!" Archie yelled, before a blue pattern appeared on Kyogre's body, it's eyes glowed blue as well, and the ancient Pokemon broke the restraints in had on its mouth, placed there by Team Magma.

Kyogre fired a very powerful Hyper Beam toward the Team Magma ship, hitting the hull and causing another explosion and more damage on the already heavily damaged ship.

Serena, May and Max came out from the inside of the Team Magma's ship, and stood next to the railing, looking at the ocean. "What are we going to do now," May asked? "We can't dive from here, it's too dangerous."

"I'm scared!" Max said, while standing next to May and looking at the restless ocean.

"We must do it," Serena said. "There is no other way."

"Maybe Ash's Lapras's can take us from here." May suggested, getting nods from Serena and Max. All three looked around, looking for Ash, but when they didn't see him, they realized that he wasn't with them.

"Where is, Ash?" Max asked.

"Did he even follow us?" May also asked.

"Damn it, Ash," Serena yelled! "Where the hell did you go? And what happened to you with that orb?"

There were no answers to any other their questions, but what was there, was trouble, as they were found by Tabitha and several other members of Team Magma.

"You three are not going anywhere, except with us." Tabitha said with a smirk on his face.

Serena, May and Max looked at the people in front of them, and knew that they are in trouble.

Ash separated from his friends, and went the other way, so that they will be away from him, in the event there was battle, and he has to let it loose. He knows that it might have been a bad move to leave them alone, and pretty much in the hands of Team Magma, but he has a feeling that they will not hurt them, and will try to use them as hostages against him. Truthfully, even if that happens, it's still better than for them to be around him, as he plans to go into a battle against two of the ancient Pokemon. He just needs to release the second one first.

Before the battle though, he has to bring the Pokemon he plans to use to battle against Groudon and Kyogre. Mewtwo will fight Rayquaza, if the ancient Dragon Pokemon shows up, but to battle against Groudon and Kyogre, he will use different Pokemon.

As such, Ash is currently on his Pokedex, calling Professor Oak.

"Hey Ash," Oak answered from the other side of the phone line. "What's up?"

"I need you to transfer me some Pokemon." Ash answered to the old Professor.

"Sure thing," Oak said. "Just tell me which ones, and I'll send them, though you will have to send me some of the Pokemon you have with you, as you already have all slots full."

"I'll send you Dusknoir and Swellow, and you send me Amaterasu and Ra." Ash said, making Professor Oak nearly choke on his spit when he heard which two Pokemon Ash wants.

"Why those two," Professor Oak asked? "Who could you possibly fight that you would need them?"

"There is trouble with Team's Aqua and Magma, and I'm about to try and stop Groudon and Kyogre from destroying the world," Ash said. Oak's eyes nearly popped out of his head when he heard this.

"Ash, you can't possibly fight against those two Pokemon," Oak said, sounding worried. "There must be another way to deal with that problem."

"Don't worry, Professor," Ash said. "Nothing bad will happen. Besides, this is the only way to stop them. Trust me."

"I always trust you, Ash," Oak said. "I know you are very capable, and can handle almost anything, but do be careful. Your mother will skin you if something happens to you again. She wasn't very happy after what happened the last time." Oak was referring to the events on Mt. Chimney.

Ash nodded, before he took the Poke Balls containing Dusknoir and Swellow, and sent them at Oak's Ranch. In return, Oak sent Ash his two Charizard's. Ash took the two Poke Balls containing two of his most powerful fire type Pokemon, and thanked Professor Oak, before he hung-up his Pokedex. He then cast a small look behind himself, smirked and walked away. He knew that Team Magma members were following him, and have seen and heard everything he has just done and talked about with Professor Oak.

Ash walked outside of the Team Magma's ship, just in time to see the aircraft take off. He was able to sense with his powers that Serena, May and Max were up there, along with most likely, Maxie and few other members of Team Magma. In the distance, he was able to spot a Team Aqua submarine, and he also noticed Kyogre not far from that submarine. It didn't take him long to deduce that Kyogre was already under Team Aqua's control.

Ash was also able to sense that he was followed. Just as he turned around, he saw a very beautiful, pink haired and pink eyed woman, come out from inside of the ship, along with several other members of Team Magma.

"This is as far as you go, Ash," Courtney said. "We need that orb, and we will get it, even if I have to carve it out of you."

"Are you sure you will be able to do that," Ash asked back? "I doubt you can do what you are saying. If I were you, I would be more concerned about that fact that this ship is going under. It won't last much longer, especially with that thing about to fire at us." Ash pointed toward his left side at the Kyogre, which fired another Hyper Beam at the sinking ship.

Courtney's eyes widened for a moment, as she saw this, and almost swore. She turned back to look at Ash, only to see him jumping off the ship, and into the ocean.

"God, damn it!" Courtney swore before she, and the other members of Team Magma, who were still left on the ship, jumped into the ocean to escape from the explosion which destroyed even more of the ship, and ended up sinking it.

Courtney and the others resurfaced, only to see Ash at the back of a Lapras, swimming away into the distance. "That bastard!" She growled out as she was screwed over by Ash, and thus failed the mission given to her by Maxie. She doesn't like to fail the missions, and always ends up completing them one way or another, no matter what. This time, she has failed, but this isn't the end. "I will catch you, Ash Ketchum, and I will get what I want, one way or another." Courtney said while looking at Ash's and Lapras's shrinking forms into the distance, with a smirk on her face. "I promise you that."

On Monsu Island, right at the bottom of the shrine, Archie, Shelly and a bunch of other Team Aqua members, were standing and waiting for the Team Magma to arrive. They all seemed happy, especially Archie, judging by the smirk on his face.

At that moment, an aircraft of Team Magma arrived on Monsu Island, and landed a little away from the shrine. From inside of the aircraft, Maxie, Tabitha and several others, walked toward the Team Aqua Members. Unlike Archie and his team, Maxie and his team don't seem happy, as they are wearing scowls on their faces.

"How are you, Maxie," Archie asked his adversary?

Maxie scowled. "You have insulted the name of Team Magma," he said, making Archie smirk.

"No, not really," Archie said. "But these two might have." From behind him, two members of Team Magma were led by the Team Aqua members. They were tied-up, and looked scared. "Correct me if I'm wrong, but one of these two man, is one of your commanders."

Maxie growled at this. He didn't like that his man have failed the mission and on top of that, were captured.

"I assume their mission was to steal Groudon," Archie continued to speak. "Although, they failed quite miserably.

"First you called for a meeting, and then you tried to sabotage us. It seems to me that the only one doing the insulting is you, Maxie. That's not the best way to do business."

"Look, Archie," Maxie spoke. "We both know that Groudon means nothing to you or your organization. As such, you should hand it over to us, as we have use for it."

Archie started laughing like a maniac at Maxie's offer. "I don't think you understand the predicament you are in," Archie said. "The fact is, we also have Kyogre as well."

"WHAT?" Maxie yelled.

"Here's the deal for you, Maxie," Archie spoke. "Team Magma will disband today, while Team Aqua will emerge as the ruler of the world, or…" Archie pulled out a Red Orb from the inside of his suit. "If you prefer, I can use Kyogre to destroy everything, while you stand there."

Maxie growled. He was really worried now, as he was in a really bad situation. He has lost Kyogre. He has lost the blue orb, and now Team Aqua has both the ancient Pokemon, and the red orb with which they can control Kyogre, and destroy his organization. Not to mention, that… 'Thing', is out there, and can destroy them all.

Inside of the cargo hold of the Team Magma aircraft, Serena, May and Max are just seating and trying to decide on what to do.

"So, are we going to just sit here, or are we going to escape?" Max asked.

"I don't know," Serena said. "We don't really know where we are. The aircraft has landed, so we are probably on Monsu Island, as Maxie did say that that's where they are going, but we can't be sure. On top of that, we don't know the current situation, and have no idea where Ash is. Which means that even if we manage to escape, we don't know what awaits us outside of this aircraft."

"We can't just stay here, though," May said. "Who knows what Team Magma will do to us?"

"I know," Serena sighed. "But we can't fight all of them. We would be overwhelmed even with all of our Pokemon. There is simply too many of them, against the three of us. I suggest we wait and see how things go. I don't think that Ash will just abandon us. I'm sure that he will come and save us."

"What happened to him," Max wondered out loud? "One minute he was ok, and the next that blue orb enters his body and he is different."

"I have no idea," Serena said. "I've never seen something like that, but we all know Ash, so whatever it is that happened to him, I know that he will overcome it and come for us."

While they wanted to trust Serena and her words, May and Max simply had doubts. They don't know Ash as good as Serena, so it's natural that they doubt him, but at this point in time, he is probably the only one who can save them, without them risking their health and lives by trying to break free by themselves.

Team Aqua's submarine was moored close to the tall and rocky shoreline of Monsu Island. Several members of the Team Aqua were standing guard over the submarine, in case someone from Team Magma decides to attack them while Archie, Shelly and several other members were at the island.

Not far from the submarine, Ash was standing on the back of his Lapras, looking at the submarine with a smile on his face. "Take me closer to that submarine, Lapras," Ash said to his Pokemon. "But be careful not to be seen. I want to do this unnoticed until it is already too late for them to do anything."

Lapras nodded at Ash, before she slowly approached the submarine from the back of it, being careful not to be spotted. Once she was close enough, Ash jumped at the submarine, before he thanked his Lapras for the ride, and returned her to the Poke Ball, so she can rest. She has done her job, now he will do his, and after that, it's up to Amaterasu and Ra, to do their job. Ash just hopes that they will be powerful enough to take on Groudon and Kyogre. It's been a while since he saw them fight, and while he knows that they are very powerful, powerful enough to take on the legendary Pokemon like the legendary birds of Kanto, or Legendary beasts of Johto, he isn't sure if they are powerful enough to take on the two ancient Pokemon like Groudon and Kyogre. He did say to Professor Oak, that they can take on anyone, but that was more so that the Professor wouldn't worry, then he actually believes that they are that powerful.

The reason why Ash wants to pin his two Charizard against Groudon and Kyogre, is because he wants to pin them against the Pokemon more powerful than them, and see if this can push them to Mega Evolve. It's because of that that he didn't bring his Mega Lucario, who is much more powerful then Ra and Amaterasu. Pikachu is also more powerful than they are, but he can't Mega Evolve, and while Alakazam is more powerful and can Mega Evolve, he can't take on both Groudon and Kyogre, and Ash didn't know which could be the second Pokemon he could use to pin against Groudon and Kyogre, if he was to use Alakazam as one. Thus, he chose Ra and Amaterasu. They are perfect for this, even though they are at big disadvantage, both in power, and type, but that's exactly what makes them perfect, as they would be pushed to their limits, and he hopes that they will break through those limits and Mega Evolve.

Ash walked inside of the Team Aqua submarine, evading all the guards and their Pokemon. Once he was inside, he was quickly able to locate where one of the ancient Pokemon is located.

Ash found Kyogre's cargo hold, and saw that the Pokemon is kept inside of the large tank filled with water, and that the ancient water type was currently asleep.

"Well, it's time to wake up." Ash said as he sent a pulse of his aura toward the sleeping Pokemon, instantly awakening it.

Kyogre roared, while breaking from the restrains and the tank of water, before it jumped into the sea.

Meanwhile, Ash watched all of this with a smirk on his face. "Now, to wake the second one, and then deal with them both." Ash said, as he walked away from Kyogre's cargo hold, and toward where he could sense Groudon at the large hanger at the top of the submarine.

As he was walking, the red markings on Ash's head, flashed several times, before they settled down. Ash wore a big smirk on his face, while all this was happening.

With the release of Kyogre, the sky above the Monsu Island and the surrounding area, darkened, as the storm clouds gathered and covered the sky.

At the meeting sight between Team's Aqua and Magma, everyone was looking at the sky, some with curious and some with confused looks on their faces. They were wondering what's going on.

"Archie, sir," Shelly spoke first, while holding a communication gadget. Archie looked at her with a slightly angry look on his face. He also didn't know why the sky darkened like this, though he had a feeling. Only Kyogre could do this, but he was confused why it's happening as Kyogre should be locked in the cargo hold. "It would seem that someone has broken Kyogre out of the cargo hold."

Archie gained a smirk on his face, as he looked at Maxie. "So, decided to seek your revenge, ha?" Archie asked as he looked at Maxie. "But isn't it Groudon that you want?"

"You fool," Maxie shouted! "We had nothing to do with that!" They really didn't, but he wondered who it could be, if it wasn't his group. It didn't take him long to figure out who must it be. "It must be that damned kid!" Maxie growled, drawing the attention of Team Aqua.

"What kid?" Archie asked. His curiosity was picked.

"Ash Ketchum." Maxie replied, making Archie's and Shelly's eyes to widen. They knew of Ash. They knew what he can do, as they all remember about what happened on the Mt. Chimney. Archie considered Ash to be the greatest threat to his plans, even though he has never personally met him.

"Where did you find him?" Archie growled out.

Maxie sighed. "He was traveling with his friends across the sea, on the back of two Lapras's," he went on and explained about his earlier encounter with Ash, and what happened in the end. "As such, right now I have his friends captured, but Ash is still somewhere out there, and is trying to stop us from accomplishing out goals."

Archie started too laughed like crazy, even more than earlier. "So you don't have a Groudon, and have lost the blue orb, while I have red orb, and can use it to control Kyogre, even though it was broken-out from the cargo hold. This is the day I have won, Maxie. You can't do anything to stop me now, and once I take control over Kyogre, I will use its power to take out Ash Ketchum, so he won't stand in my way to conquer the world!"

"Archie!" Maxie growled out in fury.

Archie laughed at Maxie's anger. He was really enjoying this. He was so close to the win, that he could taste it at the tip of his tongue. "Maxie," Archie spoke. "I invite you to witness as Team Aqua claims the world as its own."

Archie then turned and walked up the stairs of the temple, while ignoring Maxie's please to not do what he was planning.

Shelly on the other hand, knew that Team Magma will most likely attack Archie, so she gave command to the other members of Team Aqua, to prepare to protect Archie. They all went and released several Walrein, which then attacked the Team Magma members, with Water Gun. Team Magma returned the fire quickly, as they released a pack of Mightyena, and attacked the Walrein and Team Aqua Members, using Shadow Ball.

Soon, it turned into an all-out battle, between the two opposing Teams.

Meanwhile, Archie arrived at the top of the temple and looked toward the sea, where Kyogre could be seen rising out of the ocean.

Back to the ground level, Team Aqua members got the upper hand, as they were able to defeat Mightyena, much to Maxie's anger.

Then, Archie started to laugh, making all those at the base of the temple, able to hear him. When they all looked up, they saw a flying machine high in the air, and Archie's voice coming from it.

"That's right, Maxie," Archie yelled from up there! "I'm up here!

"Sir, you must go and pursue him," Tabitha said to Maxie. "We will stay here and handle the rest."

Maxie nodded at that.

Tabitha ordered one of the members of Team Magma to accompany Maxie to protect him and to assist him in pursuit. The man nodded, before he ran toward Maxie.

Up in the sky, at the top of the flying machine, Archie was standing with the Red Orb in right hand, pointed toward the sky. "Kyogre," Archie shouted! "Sink the land into the sea!"

Down below, the sea was getting more and more restless, as the waves were getting bigger with each second that passes. The sky was covered in dark clouds, lighting occasionally showing up, making the situation look even worse. From below the waves, Kyogre burst out, the pattern on its body glowing with power. Soon, the rain started the fall, and the sea got even worse, as the whirlpools appeared all over it, and the waves went to over a dozen meters in height.

On the island, everyone was standing and looking at the apparent apocalypse, with wide eyes, and look of fear on their faces, especially Team Magma members. Maxie was still there along with the others, he never went after Archie, as at this point, it's practically impossible due to the weather.

Archie was laughing like crazy from high in the sky. "Maxie, I was hoping that you will be able to witness my conquest of the world, but sadly, it doesn't look like that will be possible," Archie said. "But this should give you the taste! That island will soon be swallowed by the sea!"

"Are you crazy, you fool," Maxie yelled!? "There are people on this island, including your own!"

"So what?" Archie just asking, not giving a damn about what Maxie was saying, or his people.

Shelly and the other Team Aqua members were shocked by Archie's words. They can't believe that their boss doesn't care about them and is willing to just sacrifice them for nothing.

"Archie, drop that orb," Maxie shouted! "It's influencing you! You are not in control of yourself!"

"I don't think so!" Archie said, before he ordered Kyogre to attack.

Kyogre followed the order, before it created a tornados all over the sea, and the lighting strikes were hitting the ground, and the trees of Monsu Island, putting everyone; human and Pokemon, in danger.

Shelly and Tabitha ordered their man to recall all the Pokemon, so that they will be safe in the Poke Balls. They will be safer there, then out in the open.

Inside of the Team Magma aircraft, everything was shaking, making Serena, May and Max, question their decision to stay, as they now think that they might have been safer on the outside.

"What is happening out there?" May asked in fear.

"I don't know." Serena said. She really didn't know, though she could guess that Team Aqua and Team Magma have released the Groudon and Kyogre, and the two ancient Pokemon are now battling.

"It doesn't matter what's happening," Max said! "We need to get out of here. I have a feeling that this aircraft won't last much longer."

"You are right, Max," Serena said. "We can't wait for Ash. Who knows where he is, and what he's doing. We better run on our own. Since the members of Team Aqua and Magma are battling right now, we might be able to slip pass them, unnoticed."

May and Max agreed with this, before Serena released her Magnetone, and told it to open a hole in the aircraft, so that they can go outside right away, instead of trying to find the exit.

Magnetone did just that, allowing the three young trainers to leave the Team Magma aircraft. As soon as they got outside though, they heard Shelly's voice.

"Quickly," Shelly yelled! "Everyone into the ruins!"

Serena, May and Max looked toward the yelling, only to see a bunch of Team Aqua and Magma members running away from the incoming tidal wave.

"Oh, hell no," Max shouted! "A tidal wave!"

"We need to get out of here?" Serena said, with May and Max agreeing, before they all run into the forest, while the Aqua and Magma members were running into the ruins, with Shelly and Tabitha giving them orders. Tabitha was also helping Maxie to get into the ruins, as the Team Magma Leader, seems to be injured.

The tidal wave crushed into the rocky cliffs of the Monsu Island, fortunately not coming to the ruins, but it did sweep Team Aqua's submarine, and brought it all the way to the cliffs and a small patch of shore, where it crashed.

Maxie and Tabitha saw the kids running into the forest, and Maxie said to Tabitha to go after them, as he didn't want to lose his leverage against Ash. He knew that without Serena, May and Max as Team Magma's captives, nothing is stopping Ash from making the current situation even worse for the Team Magma.

Shelly and Team Aqua members were standing on the ruins, looking at the raging sea and storm, but also looking at Archie, who was still up in the air, standing on his small flying machine, holding the red orb, and laughing like crazy.

"All of you stay right here," Shelly said to her comrades. "I'll go and get Archie."

Suddenly, a Charizard appeared flying across the sky, braving the storm, without being bothered by the rain. It flew toward Kyogre, who was floating on the sea, with Archie on his flying machine right above the ancient Pokemon.

Archie saw the Charizard, and wondered whose it was. In the end though, he knew that whoever that it is that owns this Charizard, it's not his friend or ally, so he decided to attack.

"Kyogre, get that Charizard!" Archie yelled.

Kyogre fired a Hydro Pump at Charizard, but Charizard countered that with Dragon Breath. The two attacks clashed above the sea level, and pushed at each other for a few moment. It was obvious that Kyogre's attack was more powerful, as it was pushing Charizard's attack back, but Charizard was also powerful and wasn't giving up.

The clash of attacks exploded, before either Pokemon could overpower the opponent. Kyogre was now floating at the sea level, while Charizard was floating in the air. Both Pokemon were glaring at the other, as if measuring the opponent's power and skill.

"I don't know who you trainer is," Archie said to Charizard! "But there is no one in this world who can stop me now! Soon enough, this world will be all mine!" Archie laughed.

A pattern appeared on the red orb, as it pulsed with power. Then, the orb sank into Archie's hand, just like the blue orb did in Ash's hand not that long ago. Once the orb completely entered inside of Archie's body, he yelled, as he was enveloped with bluish aura, before a pattern appeared on Archie's chest, and his eyes glowed light blue.

Archie laughed like crazy, even more so then before. He looked and sounded like he has completely lost it.

Ash walked on top of the Team Aqua's submarine, where there was a hanger with Groudon inside of it. Neither the submarine nor a hanger were damaged when the submarine crashed into the side of the Monsu Island earlier. As for Ash, he was able to escape the tidal wave by riding on the back of his Charizard. After the tidal wave has passed, he sent that Charizard, Ra, to battle against Kyogre, while he stayed behind to release Groudon.

That's exactly what he was doing right now. Ash created an Aura Sphere in his right hand, and then used it to break the entrance to the hanger, thus allowing him to enter inside.

Just as Ash entered inside the hanger, Serena, May and Max, run from inside of the forest, and toward the cliff just above the Team Aqua's submarine. They were just in time to see Ash's back, as he walked pass the entrance to the hanger.

"What's Ash doing?" May asked.

"I don't know," Serena replied. "But I don't like this."

From behind the gang, Maxie and Tabitha run to them. "Where do you think you are going," Maxie asked them, drawing the attention of the kids, who now looked at him and Tabitha. Both the leader and his right hand man, looked ready to attack them any time, and Serena, May and Max were ready to fight back. "You didn't think that we would let you escape just like that. You are far too valuable to let go. With you in our possession, we can keep that monster at bay." Of course, he was referring at Ash, and Serena, May and Max, knew that.

"We won't be going anywhere with you," Serena said, as she grabbed the Poke Ball with her Delphox in it. She was ready to battle. "You are free to try and catch us again, though remember that the last time, you only caught us because we didn't fight back. Now though… you won't be so lucky."

Maxie and Tabitha actually shivered a little at the look in Serena's eyes, and the intensity in them. They actually believed her that it won't be easy to catch her, and her friends.

Before any decision or move could be made, a giant pulse of aura was felt all over the island. It was coming from the box where Groudon was locked up, though only those close to the submarine, were able to see and feel that.

Serena, May, Max, Maxie and Tabitha, all looked at the box on top of the Team Aqua's Submarine, just in time to see a large pillar of aura rise from the hanger, and toward the sky.

At that moment, Shelly has also arrived at the cliff, and was able to witness this. Archie also saw all of it from where he was currently standing on his flying machine.

Suddenly, the whole Monsu Island started to shake. The smoke started to come out from the volcano, making the situation seem even worse, as it looks like that the volcano is about to erupt. The hanger with Ash and Groudon in it, exploded, covering everything in smoke and fire.

"W-What is going on?" Max fearfully asked, as he was looking at everything around him.

"I don't know," Serena said. She was worried about all of this, but especially for Ash, as she has no idea what's going on with him, and now he was in the middle of that huge explosion. "But I'm sure that it's nothing good."

Then, the situation got even worse, as the volcano erupted, throwing smoke, fire and lava all over the place, making everyone fear for their lives.

On top of the Team Aqua's submarine, in the middle of the smoke and fire, a silhouette of Pokemon could be seen walking forward. Suddenly, Groudon' body glowed, and a giant white pillar shot from Groudon toward the sky, instantly ending the storm created by Kyogre's ability, Drizzle. What Groudon did, was its own ability, Drought.

Everyone, Team Aqua members, Team Magma members, along with Serena, May and Max, all looked in shock at what just happened. Archie was also looking at it, frown on his face, but still laughing manically.

Groudon walked from the destroyed submarine, and stood at the shore of the Monsu Island. Kyogre was several hundred meters from the shore, floating in the sea. The two ancient Pokemon were looking at each other.

Ra, who was previously battling against Kyogre, was floating in the air, not far above Kyogre. He was keeping an eye on both Pokemon, as he knows that they are about to start to battle. He also knows though, that Ash won't let that happen, as he has other plans.

Ash appeared from behind Groudon, showing that he was mostly fine, and wasn't injured by the explosion, or fire, but his cloths were damaged. He was enveloped in green aura, his eyes were glowing red, and there were red markings on his face and forehead.

When they saw Ash walking from behind Groudon, all those at the cliff, knew that he was the one who released Groudon. What they don't know is why he did it, and what's about to happen.

Among those who were looking at Ash, most members of Team Aqua and Magma, had looks of fear in them. Few though, all females, actually looked at Ash with slight lust in their eyes, and licked their lips. Ash was really good looking kid, and with his cloths damaged, they could see his muscled body, which no 13-year-old kid should have. Shelly actually wondered if she could get her hands on Ash, one of these day.

Unknowingly, her thoughts mirrored Courtney's from few hours earlier.

Suddenly, Kyogre made the first move, when it submerged into the ocean, creating a giant tidal wave by doing that.

"Fuck," May actually swore, something which she rarely does, but this situation calls for it. "This tidal wave is even bigger then the last one."

"We need to get to the higher ground, and fast!" Max said.

"It won't matter where we run," Serena said. "This tidal wave is big enough to swallow the whole island. Right now, Kyogre is not only going for the island, but Groudon as well."

"What can we do?" Max asked.

"Nothing," Serena said. "There is nothing we, or our Pokemon can do. This is simply beyond us."

Groudon started to draw the sunlight on top of its head, before it fired a Solar Beam, which broke through the tidal wave like nothing.

Groudon and Kyogre glared at each other, roaring at one another, and not bothered by anyone else.

"Sir, what's going on here?" Tabitha asked Maxie, as they were standing at the cliff.

"Groudon is an amazingly powerful Pokemon," Maxie said. "We were fools to believe we can control that kind of power."

Behind the two, Shelly was standing and listening to what Maxie said. "Wait, if Kyogre is capable of the same kind of power, then Archie is…" She didn't even finish her sentence. There was no need.

Ash walked to the cliff, where everyone else is, which surprised them all, as they weren't expecting him to suddenly join them.

"Ash, what's going on?" Serena asked when Ash was close enough. Everyone else was looking at Ash, and waiting to hear what he will say to them.

Ash smirked as he looked at his girlfriend; Serena, his girlfriend in all but a name; May, and his friend, Max. His eyes were still glowing, just like the pattern on his face. "Now… the battles are about to start." Ash said, confusing everyone.

"Battles?" Max questioned in confusion.

Before any new moves could be made by the two ancient Pokemon, the sky above the Monsu Island and the surrounding area, darkened once again, making everyone look at it, and wonder if this is Kyogre's Drizzle ability taking effect once again. Instead of heavy rain though, strong wind started to blow on the island and at the sea, causing the trees on the island to bend, some even to outright break. The waves on the sea also increased in size and power, while the humans on the island were suddenly in a big danger, as this wind, is much worse than the heavy rain from earlier.

"It's here." Ash said, as he looked toward the dark clouds, with a smirk on his face.

Everyone looked at him, when they heard what he said. "What," May shouted!? "Who is?"

Ash's smirk widened. "Rayquaza is here." He said, making Serena's, May's and Max's eyes, widen in disbelief.

"Ohhh, shit!" Max voiced his thoughts.

"Who's, a Rayquaza?" Maxie asked, wondered what has caused Ash's friends to seemingly freak out like this.

Serena, May and Max, looked at Maxie, as if he was stupid. "You can't seriously tell me that you have never heard of Rayquaza," Max questioned Maxie, who looked at Max with a frown on his face. The frown was mirrored by Tabitha as well. Shelly though, she seems to be aware of who Rayquaza is, as her eyes were wide in shock. "A Lord of the Sky's. The third ancient Pokemon besides Groudon and Kyogre. How could you have not heard of it? It's Rayquaza who has shown up every time that Groudon and Kyogre went on a rampage, and stopped them. It's acting like a balance between the two of them, and is the only Pokemon in Hoenn, who can stop Groudon and Kyogre."

Ash started to laugh, almost like Archie did earlier. It drew the attention of everyone there, as they all looked at the laughing teen. With the laugh, the red glowing eyes, and the markings on his face, Ash looked like some kind of psychopath, who is going to kill everyone and destroy everything. "This is perfect," he said! "I was hoping that Rayquaza will show up. It gives me a unique chance to see something. Something, I've been unable to see so far."

"W-What's that?" Serena asked fearfully. She couldn't recognize this Ash, and she was afraid of him.

"My oldest and strongest Pokemon have gotten so powerful, that almost no one can give them a challenge," Ash said. "The same goes for Mewtwo. Along with my Mega Lucario, they are my two most powerful Pokemon, but I have never had a chance to see Mewtwo in battle. Now though. With Groudon and Kyogre here, I can give a chance to some of my most powerful Pokemon to battle against them, as for Mewtwo… I was hoping that Rayquaza will show up, because it's one of the rare Pokemon who can battle against Mewtwo and I want to see that battle. It's because of all that, that I released Groudon and Kyogre from their imprisonment."

Everyone was shocked to hear what Ash said. "So you put all of us in danger, just so you can see some Pokemon Battle?" Maxie questioned. He thought that Ash is insane… not that he will say that out-loud, though.

Ash looked at Maxie with raised eyebrows. "It was you and that idiot up there, that put everyone in danger the moment you started your quest to control Groudon and Kyogre," Ash said to Maxie, making the man growl. "Don't blame me for your stupidity. All I'm doing is using a chance which presented itself to me, to try something I normally wouldn't be able to try."

Ash turned away from Maxie, and looked toward the sky. From behind the dark clouds, there was a shape of something very big, even bigger then Groudon and Kyogre, which is saying a lot, considering how big they are. The shape seems to have a long body, like that of a snake, but much longer, and with more girth to it.

One thing that Ash noticed is that, even though he couldn't see Rayquaza' full form, only the shape through the clouds; he has seen the pictures of it enough times that he is able to recognize its shape. The problem is though… the shape Ash is currently seeing, doesn't look like that of a normal Rayquaza. It made Ash wonder.

Soon enough, the shape started to descent down, and finally, broke through the clouds, allowing everyone to fully see it. Once they all saw it, everyone gasped at the Pokemon. Even Ash was surprised by its form, and color, because as far as he knows, this is not how Rayquaza looks like, not in form, nor in color.

This Rayquaza, was black in color, with small patches of red and gold, here and there. At the outer edges of its lower horns are long, golden, glowing tendrils that each extend to a black, fin-like structure, which is something that Rayquaza normally doesn't have. Its overall shape is very different than normal Rayquaza, to the point that it looks much more menacing then it normally does.

"Well, I'll be damned," Ash said, confusing everyone with his reaction. "I was not expecting Rayquaza to show up in its Mega Evolved form."

"T-That's a Mega Rayquaza?" Max questioned, with fear in his voice and eyes.

"Oh, yeah," Ash confirmed. "Rayquaza is the only Pokemon which can Mega Evolve by itself, after it uses Dragon Ascent… or at least it was, until somehow some of my Pokemon ended up Mega Evolving by themselves, and then not only stayed in that form, but also became able to speak human language. Rayquaza though, it will revert back to its original form once the Mega Evolution expires, or the battle it's in, ends."

"But why is it black," May asked? "Shouldn't it be green? Even with Mega Evolution, it shouldn't have changed color that much."

"Well, some Pokemon do change their color after Mega Evolution, but in this case, I think that this Rayquaza is a Shiny Rayquaza," Ash said. "I think it was black to begin with."

"Oh, I see." May said, before she looked back at the giant Dragon/Flying ancient Pokemon, which was floating in the air, looking down at everyone and everything.

Its appearance has drawn the attention of Groudon and Kyogre, which were no longer glaring at each other, but were now looking at the threat above them. They were ready to battle against Rayquaza, even though just minutes earlier, they were at each other's throats. Even Kyogre, who was still under Archie's control, has enough control over itself and reason to understand that Rayquaza is a threat.

Rayquaza roared to high heavens, making the winds pick-up in speed and power, as well as shock the whole Monsu Island. By doing this, Rayquaza has shown its power, which at that moment, was quite a bit above Groudon and Kyogre.

The three ancient Pokemon, glared at each other… well, better said, Groudon and Kyogre glared at Rayquaza, while it glared at them.

Seeing that the battle is about to break out, Ash decided to intervene, and get what he wanted. "Mewtwo… it's time." Ash said loudly, bringing the attention of those around him, on himself, making some of them wonder, what he was doing.

The next moment, a strange looking Pokemon, appeared out of nowhere, right in front of Rayquaza, floating in the air, even though it was obviously not a flying type, and has no wings.

The appearance of Mewtwo, drew everyone's attention, as no one has ever seen a Pokemon like that. In fact, of all those currently on the cliff of Monsu Island, only Ash and Serena have seen Mewtwo. Not even May and Max have seen it, or heard about it.

"What Pokemon is that?" Maxie asked, looking at the strange Pokemon, who seems to be ready to battle Rayquaza.

"That, is Mewtwo," Ash said. "It's an artificially made Pokemon. A clone of a Legendary Pokemon, Mew. As such, it's also considered a Legendary Pokemon, and is actually more powerful then Mew. It's a Pokemon on the same level as Rayquaza. Of course, that's a Rayquaza in its normal form. Not a Mega Rayquaza. Now, it will be interesting to see how their battle will go, as Mewtwo will be at a big disadvantage."

Ash then went and released his second Charizard, Amaterasu. When everyone saw this, they looked at the Charizard next to Ash, and then to the one who was still in the air above Kyogre. They all put two and two together, and realized that the Charizard that attacked Kyogre earlier, was Ash.

"What are you doing, Ash?" Serena asked.

"As I said," Ash spoke. "I want to see my Pokemon battle all out, and to do that, they have to go against Legendary Pokemon. Earlier today, when I left you at the Team Magma's ship, I called Professor Oak, and asked him to transfer me my two Charizard's, so that they can battle against Groudon and Kyogre. As for Mewtwo, I called him as soon as we were caught by Team Magma. I spoke with him using Telepathy and told him to come to me, but stay hidden, and only reveal himself in case that Rayquaza shows up. As you can all see, Rayquaza did show up, and now Mewtwo will battle against it."

Ash looked at Amaterasu, and nodded at her. "Go," Ash said. "Your opponent will be Groudon. Go all out. You'll need to."

Amaterasu nodded and took flight. Before she left though, she heard Ash telling her to be careful, as this will be the strongest opponent she ever fought… truly fought. He doesn't count sparing matches against Mega Lucario, Mewtwo and his other Pokemon.

Seeing that Ash has sent out Amaterasu in battle, and that Mewtwo has shown up, was enough for Ra to understand that his battle against Kyogre needs to start again. So, Ra went and attacked Kyogre with Dragon Breath attack, firing a very powerful green beam of energy at the ancient water type Pokemon, taking it by surprise and hitting it.

Kyogre was hit straight in the face, and sent toppling over on its back.

Ra's attack was very powerful, but not enough to take out Kyogre. This was proven right then Kyogre re-emerged from the sea, and fire a Hydro Pump at Ra. Ra dodged, just barely, but still dodge, before he fired a Dragon Pulse, which was a green/blue ball of energy.

Kyogre countered this with Hyper Beam, which completely destroyed the Dragon Pulse, and struck Ra, who was unable to dodge this time.

Ra was sent flying dozens of meters backwards, and all the way to the Monsu Island, where he was literally embedded into the rocky cliff.

Still, Ra isn't one of Ash's strongest Pokemon for nothing. He was able to get himself out from the rock wall, and went back to battle. Ra's wings glowed silver, before he swopped down from the sky, and hit Kyogre with Steel Wing attack, which sent Kyogre flying back across the sea. To do some more damage, Ra immediately fired Dragon Rage, which struck Kyogre.

Ra floated in the air above the see, looking at Kyogre, who quickly recovered from the two powerful attacks which Ra landed on it. Ra soon realized that this battle, will last a while, especially since as a Water Type, Kyogre isn't affected by Ra's most powerful attacks, which were all fire type attacks.

Amaterasu was in a similar, yet slightly better situation then Ra. Her opponent is at least normally damaged by Fire Type attacks, which means that she can use them, on top of the Dragon Type attacks she knows. Ra can't use Fire Type attacks against Kyogre, so he will have a lot of problems.

Amaterasu and Groudon started the battle, with both of them firing their first attacks, which in Groudon's case, was Mud Shot, while Amaterasu fired a Flamethrower. After the initial pushing from both side, where Groudon's attack was slightly more powerful, both attacks broke apart, without dealing any damage to the opponent.

Both Pokemon used Fire Blast as their next attack, again canceling each other out, after a few seconds of pushing. Then Amaterasu flew at Groudon and hit it with Iron Tail, straight across the face, making the large Pokemon stumble backwards, but not fall.

Groudon then used, Fire Punch, and hit Amaterasu, who made a mistake of flying too close to the ancient Pokemon. Amaterasu wasn't affected by the fire of the punch, but was buried into the ground from the POWER behind the punch, which was immense.

Amaterasu got back up, this time, flying at enough distance from Groudon so it won't get her with another attack like that. Then, Amaterasu fired the most powerful, Overheat attack which she could produce at that moment, striking Groudon right in the face, and this time, making the ancient Pokemon roar in pain, and then fall on its back.

Once Groudon got up, Amaterasu realized, just like Ra, that this battle will last a while.

While Amaterasu and Ra were fighting against Groudon and Kyogre, Mewtwo was going against Mega Rayquaza.

The battle was started by Mega Rayquaza, who launched an Ice Beam at Mewtwo, but Mewtwo easily dodged that, before he tried to use Psychic. Unfortunately, this failed, because as powerful as he is, Mewtwo isn't powerful enough to control Mega Rayquaza. He might have had a shot at it if Rayquaza was in its normal form, but not in the Mega Form.

Mega Rayquaza used Dragon Pulse, next, where it fired a giant multicolored dragon-shaped energy from its mouth. Mewtwo created an Aura Sphere, much larger then it normally is, before he launched it at the incoming Dragon Pulse. The two attacks clashed against each other, creating a huge shockwave of energy to spread around the sky, and even reach Monsu Island and those on it, who all felt it.

Aura Sphere barely held back Mega Rayquaza' attack long enough that the two attacks exploded in the same time, pretty much neutralizing one another.

Mewtwo was taken by surprise when Mega Rayquaza flew at him with speed that defies its size; and with hardened tail, before it swung it at Mewtwo, about to hit him.

Mewtwo barely had enough time to create an orb around himself, which was then struck by Mega Rayquaza' Iron Tail. Still, the blow was so powerful, that Mewtwo's Protect cracked under the hit, but it didn't completely break. What did happen is that Mewtwo, along with the Protect around him, were launched straight into the sea below them, as that power of Iron Tail was astronomically high.

Mewtwo flew back up from the sea, looking good, though letting small breaths out, as he had to put a lot of power into that Protect, so that it wouldn't break. He was suddenly hit point blank by a huge beam of yellow-orange energy, which sent him straight back into the sea and caused an enormous explosion, which created another tidal wave, though not as big as the ones created by Kyogre.

Back on the Monsu Island, everyone was watching the three battles, with eyes wide in disbelief. Except maybe Ash, none of them have ever seen battles like this. They have never seen power this high, and Pokemon capable of this much power. It was incredible.

Everyone was also shocked by the power Ash's two Charizard were showing against Groudon and Kyogre. Even though they are at the disadvantage, and clearly weaker, they are still holding their own against high-tier Legendary Pokemon. As for Mewtwo, even though he was loosing terribly, everyone had to agree that his opponent is out of this world.

"This looks bad, Ash," Serena said to her boyfriend, who was just standing there, eyes blazing in anger at seeing his Pokemon losing, especially Mewtwo. He is so used to winning, and even when he loses, which barely ever happens, he loses in a close match. This though, isn't even close. Yes. His Pokemon are doing great, considering who they are fighting against, but still, they are losing, and Ash doesn't like that. "Do you think that this was a good choice you made?" Serena asked.

"I know that it looks bad," Ash growled, frightening everyone by doing that. "But I still believe that this was a good idea. I also know that my Pokemon will agree with me, even if they are losing like this. I just can't get used to this feeling. The feeling of approaching defeat… it's alien to me."

"What are you talking about?" Maxie asked.

Ash didn't reply, but Serena did. "Ash has only ever lost one, maybe two matches, and he is a trainer for about three years so far. I guess he never learned how to lose, like all the other trainers do."

Everyone there who didn't know about this, were shocked. They are all members of Team Aqua and Team Magma, as Serena, May and Max, knew that the only real defeat that Ash suffered, was against Blue Oak.

Ash was suddenly enveloped in his usual green aura, but this time, there were traces of black, which only show up when he was pissed to hell and back. Then… he roared. "MEWTWO, GET BACK UP!" Ash's roar was so powerful it shock the air around him, and made everyone wince and cover their ears, so they won't get deaf. "I KNOW THIS ISN'T THE BEST YOU CAN DO! SHOW EVERYONE WHAT YOU ARE CAPABLE OF! SHOW THEM YOUR POWER!"

The reason Ash is only talking to Mewtwo, is because he was down, while Ra and Amaterasu, are still battling against Groudon and Kyogre. Ra and Amaterasu heard Ash's voice, and stopped battling for a moment, to see what's going on, as they were so into battle against their opponents, that they didn't see when Mewtwo was launched into the ocean, or how badly he was losing.

At that moment, several things happened one after the other. First, there was a bright light which could be seen below ocean level, right where Mewtwo fell. The next that happened, is a beam of white light, shooting from the ocean, and toward the sky. Then, the intensity of the glow of Ash's eyes, increased even more. Finally, Ra and Amaterasu started to glow as well, right in front of everyone's eyes.

This went on for a few moments, before something shot out form the ocean, and into the sky. No one could see what it was, as it was enveloped in the white light, and nothing could be seen on the inside of the light. The same goes for Ra and Amaterasu. Everyone could see them enveloped in white light, just like when a Pokemon are evolving, but considering that Ra and Amaterasu can't evolve, as they are in their final forms, made members of Team Aqua and Team Magma, confused. They didn't know what to think of Mewtwo, as they have never seen a Pokemon like that before, and they don't know if he can evolve, or not.

Suddenly, the light around Mewtwo started to dim-down, before the same happened around Ra and Amaterasu. In a few moments, the light was completely gone, revealing the new looks of the three Pokemon.

Up in the sky, not far from the Mega Rayquaza, floated a Pokemon, similar, yet different then Mewtwo. His body seems a bit smaller than before, though not by much. The coloring is pretty much the same, but the big difference is that the tail, which grew from Mewtwo's lower back, was now growing from the back of his head, making him look much weirder then before. Mewtwo was also enveloped in the same green aura, as Ash was, and his eyes were glowing red, just like Ash's were.

Dozens of meters away from Mewtwo and Mega Rayquaza, Kyogre was still in the ocean, and looking up at its opponent. Where once floated a normal Charizard, now floated a very different one. One, which was black and blue in color, instead of orange and cream, with darker shade of blue on the underside of his wings. The new Charizard also has blue flames at the tip of his tail, as well as blue flames coming out from the side of his mouth. This is a Mega Charizard X.

Far from them, on the Monsu Island, Groudon was looking at its own changed opponent. Amaterasu has changed, just like Ra, though not that much. She is still the same color as she used to be, but this time, she has several spikes and protrusions on her tail, arms, wings and one more horn on her head, between the two smaller ones. This is Mega Charizard Y.

Ash and everyone else looking with disbelief in their eyes at what just happened. Ra and Amaterasu have Mega Evolved, just like that, out of the blue. Not only that, but it would seem that Mewtwo has also Mega Evolved, and no one, not even Ash, knew that Mewtwo can Mega Evolve.

A full minute has passed, without anyone doing or saying anything, including all people and Pokemon on the battlefield. Then, out of a blue, Ash started to chuckle. His chuckles turned to small laughs, which then turned into a full blown laughter, which scared the shit out of everyone… not that they would admit that.

Everyone looked at Ash, wondering why he was laughing like this. May, Serena and Max were the most surprised, because they have known that some of Ash's Pokemon have Mega Evolved before, and they have seen his Gengar Mega Evolve, but in those cases, Ash didn't laugh like this. This is different... THIS, is something else.

"So that's why," Ash said, making everyone look at him with raised eyebrows. "That's why they all kept Mega Evolving. It's because of you." Ash was looking at Mega Mewtwo, who was looking back at Ash. Their eyes were locked on each other, both glowing with power, and both with a smirk on their faces.

"Ash," Serena called him, gaining his attention, as he looked away from Mewtwo. The glow in his eyes, and the smirk on his face scared Serena, but it also turned her on. The same goes for all the other females around there. They all felt attracted to the feeling of power and danger they can feel around Ash. "What's going on?" Serena asked.

"I finally figured it out." Ash said.

"You figured out, what?" May asked.

"Why my Pokemon keep Mega Evolving by themselves, and without Mega and Key Stones," Ash said, getting wide-eyed looks from everyone. When he didn't say anything after that, everyone wanted to shout at him. Only Max did it.

"Well?" Max shouted. "Are you going to tell us why?"

Ash looked at Max with a smirk on his face, before he looked away from him, and back towards the battle between his Pokemon, and the ancient Pokemon, which has just restarted.

"It's because of Mewtwo," Ash said. "It was always believed that Rayquaza is the only Pokemon which can Mega Evolve by itself, after performing Dragon Ascent. But that's no longer the case. It would seem that Mewtwo, can also Mega Evolve by himself, and in his case, he doesn't need to perform any move to do it. He can just… do it.

"Now, the reason why my Pokemon kept Mega Evolving is because of my connection to Mewtwo," Ash looked at Serena, before he continued. "Remember when we were in Johto and met Lugia and Ho-Oh," Serena nodded. "Remember how they blessed me," another nod. "Well, because of that blessing, my Fire Type Pokemon can learn Sacred Fire, and my Flying Type Pokemon can learn Aeroblast. With Mewtwo, it's similar, yet different. Mewtwo didn't bless me, but we have a bond, the same bond I have with my other Pokemon. Because of that bond between me and Mewtwo, my other Pokemon also have a bond with Mewtwo. And it's because of that connection they all have to him, and because he can Mega Evolve by himself, that my other Pokemon got access to the Mega Evolution. It's like how my fire and flying types can use Sacred Fire and Aeroblast through me, my other Pokemon can Mega Evolve, through me AND Mewtwo.

"That being said… the question remains. Why is the Mega Evolution of my Pokemon permanent, and why did they develop the ability to speak human language, because Mewtwo, even though he has Mega Evolved, can't speak human language, and I'm still not sure if his Mega Evolution is permanent or nor."

Everyone was floored by what Ash has just revealed. Some of the things that he said, Serena, May and Max, already knew, but not all of it. As for the members of Team Aqua and Team Magma, it was all news. They knew nothing, and as such, were shocked. They can't believe that there is someone like Ash, someone with that much power, skill, and someone who was blessed by the Legendary Pokemon, and even has a bond with some Legendary Pokemon. To them, it's unnatural, and makes them wonder, why is Ash so special?

"How do you know that Mega Mewtwo can't speak human language?" Max asked.

"He told me," Ash said. "We can communicate through Telepathy, no matter how far away from each other we were. That's something I can only do with Mewtwo and my Alakazam. With my other Pokemon, we have to be close to each other to communicate in that way.

"Anyway, as soon as he Mega Evolved, Mewtwo told me that his psychic powers have grown exponentially, and that he can't speak human language. He isn't sure what will happen once the battle ends. He doesn't know if he will revert to his normal form, or will he stay like that."

"What happens now?" Serena asked, as she was looking at the three battles, which have become much more destructive, now that all the opponents were about equal to each other.

"Now, we watch the battles, and wait to see how it ends." Ash said shortly.

Everyone there knew that he most likely won't be interested in talking any longer, so they all focused on the battles.

The battle between Kyogre and Mega Charizard X, was heavily underway.

The two super-powerful Pokemon were throwing attacks at each other like crazy, trying to deal damage to the opponent, and so far, they were partly successful.

Kyogre isn't really one for dodging the attacks, so quite a few of Ra's attacks, have connected. What Kyogre has going for it, is great endurance, which is why it's still up for a battle, even after it was hit by several Dragon Type attacks, along with one or two Steel Wing and Iron Tail attacks.

Ra, on the other hand, has more speed then Kyogre, has better maneuverability, and has almost equal power, after he Mega Evolved. With that all going for him, Ra was able to dodge most of Kyogre's attacks, though few have connected and caused damage to him.

Even after he Mega Evolved, Ra is still a fire type, so most of his attacks are useless, even if they are much more powerful right now. One the other hand, his other type has changed from flying type to dragon type, after he Mega Evolved, so his Dragon Type Attacks are causing damage to Kyogre. That being said, there are some attacks that Ra can try, and he is sure that they will work much better than the ones he used so far.

Still, Ra is sure that Kyogre will try to either dodge, which it rarely does, or try to counter his attack. So, Ra decided to go with a distraction, before he goes for the kill… so to say.

Ra's body became engulfed in light blue flames, before he formed a light blue ball of fire in his mouth. Ra blew an extremely high-powered Blast Burn from his mouth at Kyogre, who was floating in the sea.

Kyogre saw the attack, and decided that it's best to counter it, instead of being hit, as even though it is immune to fire attacks, this one is quite powerful and can cause some burns.

Kyogre also decided not to play around any longer, and used its most powerful attack. The attack Kyogre used, is called the Origin Pulse. Kyogre came out from the ocean, and into the air before multiple blue orbs appeared all around it. It then fired a beam of blue energy from each orb at the incoming Blast Burn.

The clash of two overpowered attacks, caused a huge explosion, which shock the sky, sea and even the land. It also caused a dust cloud to form in between the two Pokemon, preventing them from seeing each other. Still, it gave Charizard a chance to form an attack he is sure will be able to take Kyogre out.

As the dust cloud was clearing away, thanks to the high winds produced by Mega Rayquaza' presence; Ra opened his mouth and gathered blue energy inside it. Just as the dust cloud cleared enough so that Ra can see Kyogre, he fired a massive blue beam of energy at the unsuspecting Kyogre, who had no chance to dodging an overpowered Aeroblast.

Just like Ra, Amaterasu has grown immensely more powerful after she Mega Evolved. She didn't change her type, after she Mega Evolved, so she is still Fire/Flying type, but that's fine, as her opponent is affected by the fire attacks, unlike Ra's, so she can go all out with all of her powers and techniques.

Amaterasu went with Flamethrowers, Fire Blasts, Overheat, Dragon Pulse and Dragon Breath. She fired it all, and each time she landed an attack on Groudon, she was slowly chipping away at its power and stamina. Groudon by nature is a large Pokemon, almost twice the size of Charizard, so it was very slow, while Amaterasu is faster and can fly. She was using this to her advantage as well, by dodging Hyper Beams, Solar Beams, Mud Shots… Everything that Groudon sent at her, Amaterasu dodged.

In this battle, Groudon was stronger Pokemon with more attack power, but Amaterasu is faster, and has more skill in combat, which is why she was at the worst, equal to Groudon, while at best, she has the advantage.

All the attacks that Amaterasu was using, all the times she hit Groudon, it was all for a purpose and with a goal in mind. She knew even with all of her advantages, she would lose in the end because of the simple fact that Groudon has more natural stamina. She knew that none of her regular attacks, could actually defeat Groudon, so she needed an attack with a power to defeat a legendary Pokemon of Groudon's level. As such, she decided to use an attack of another Legendary Pokemon. What better way to defeat a high-tier legendary, then with the power of the other high-tier Legendary Pokemon?

Amaterasu came up with a plan. It was a simple plan. Shoot the asshole with the strongest attack she has. It was that simple.

That being decided, Amaterasu opened her mouth and created a crimson orb of fire. She kept it there for a moment, before she fired her strongest Fire Type attack. A Sacred Fire which she can use because of Ash being blessed by Ho-Oh. This was the first time she was using it, and she will make it count.

As Amaterasu has fired her attack, she completely missed the fact that, just before she fired Sacred Fire, Groudon's body glowed with the colors of lava. Then, as the Sacred Fire was closing in on Groudon, a series of incandescent sharp stones coated with lava sprung up from the ground below Amaterasu, who hasn't seen it, and couldn't avoid it. The moment Sacred Fire hit Groudon, is also the moment when the top edge of the stones, hit Amaterasu from below, creating an explosion, which was matched by the one caused by Groudon being hit by the Sacred Fire.

While the battles between Ra and Kyogre, and Amaterasu and Groudon, were destructive; the battle between Mega Rayquaza and Mega Mewtwo, was earth shattering.

The two Mega Pokemon were throwing attacks all over the place, causing destruction all over the Monsu Island, not just from the missed attacks, but also because of the tidal waves which were caused by the explosion on the ocean, caused by mostly, Mega Rayquaza' attacks, as they are extremely powerful.

Even now when he is in his Mega Form, Mewtwo simply doesn't have the power necessary to match Mega Rayquaza, but what he does have is abnormal speed, thanks to the Agility, as well as the precision necessary to land attacks on Mega Rayquaza.

Mega Rayquaza fired Dragon Breath attack at Mega Mewtwo, who dodged it, and then swung the tail coming from the back of his head, and launched a Swift Attack. Thousands of small yellow stars, rained down on Mega Rayquaza, covering it from head to toe in them, and causing explosions all over its body.

Mewtwo then went and used Iron Tail, just as the Swift attack ended, and hit Rayquaza over the face, snapping its head to the side, and causing the great Dragon Type to roar in pain.

Rayquaza quickly recovered, though, and used Dragon Pulse on the Mega Mewtwo, sending the Psychic Type flying straight into the Monsu Island.

Of course, Mewtwo go up, and used Agility, where it appeared in front of Mega Rayquaza in an instant, before he launched an Aura Sphere, straight at Rayquaza' face, this time, sending the dragon type backwards and into the ocean.

Mega Rayquaza flew back up, and was surrounded in green aura, before it fired an attack shaped like its body, at Mega Mewtwo. This time, Mewtwo didn't dodge, but instead used Protect around his body, which stopped the Dragon Rush from hitting him, but still sent him flying all the way to the ocean floor. The attack was so powerful that even under water, it was pressing on Mewtwo's barrier, and causing cracks on it.

Dragon Rush dissipated by the time Mega Mewtwo was pushed all the way to the bottom of the ocean, but since his barrier held, he was uninjured. He flew through the ocean, and then up in the air, both of his hands covered in blue aura, and releasing a small amounts of mist, caused by the coldness. Then, Mewtwo flew at Rayquaza, and then punched it across the face with his right fist, then another punch with his left fist, before another and another. After half a dozen punches, Mega Mewtwo's arms returned to normal, but then he put them in front of himself, and formed a light blue ball of energy, and threw it at Mega Rayquaza, who was still recovering from half a dozen punches from an Ice Type attack, which is its major weakness.

Mega Rayquaza was hit by the Focus Blast, which caused a large explosion to cover its body, and made the dragon type, roar in pain.

Eventually, Mega Rayquaza recovered a little from the attacks which Mega Mewtwo landed on it, and now floated in the sky, dozens of meters from Mega Mewtwo, who was also standing on the air. The two Pokemon were looking at each other, both panting from exhaustion, and both covered in bruises from the intense battle which they were in.

So far, both Pokemon have proved to the other that they are strong and have each other's respect. As such, there is really no need to continue to battle, but… they are both strong and prideful Pokemon, and they want to end this battle, with one of them as a winner, and the other as the looser.

Seeing how they are both tired, exhausted and near the end of their ropes, they figured that they have one or two more attacks at their disposal, before they are done for.

As such, Mega Rayquaza decided to go with an all-out attack, to take Mega Mewtwo out. A sphere of bright orange energy formed inside of Mega Rayquaza' mouth and it fired it into the sky, where it exploded and released dozens of spheres of energy that started to rain down toward Mega Mewtwo.

Seeing this attack, Mega Mewtwo created a white force field around himself, which then expands rapidly from around his body. Once it came into contact with the spheres from Mega Rayquaza' Draco Meteor attack, it caused the explosion. Seeing as there are dozens of spheres, there were dozens of explosion at the sky above the Monsu Island, which completely covered everything from the sight of those on the island.

No one could see what was happening for a while, and all they could hear, are dozens upon dozens of explosions, which rocked the island.

"Unbelievable," May said, as she and everyone else were watching wide-eyed at the battles between Ash's Pokemon against the three ancient Pokemon of the Hoenn Region. Everything they have seen so far, the techniques, the power, the skill, and stamina. It was all out of this world. These Pokemon are all ridiculously powerful, and while that isn't surprising when it comes to the ancient Pokemon, it is very surprising because of how powerful Ash's Pokemon were. "I can't believe this power."

Ash smirked as he was watching the battles.

He watched as Ra managed to screw Kyogre over, when he lured it into defending itself from the Blast Breath, and Kyogre defending itself all right. It defended itself using a god-damned, Origin Pulse, of all attacks. Luckily, Ra's Blast Breath was powerful enough to at least hold back the Origin Pulse, and cause both attacks to explode, which gave Ra a chance to use, Aeroblast. Kyogre was hit by Lugia' signature move, and was sent at the bottom of the ocean. So far, it hasn't come back out, even after a minute has passed.

What did happen after Kyogre went down, is that Archie, who was still up in the air on his flying machine; started to scream, before the Red Orb left his body, making the Team Aqua leader fall unconscious on his flying machine, while the Red Orb, floated in the sky.

Amaterasu's battle, for the most part, was going better for her, then Ra's. She had access to all of her attacks, because Groudon was affected by Fire Type Attacks, while Kyogre wasn't, so Amaterasu wasn't handicapped. In the end though, Amaterasu didn't make a plan to finish the battle like Ra did. She went and used Sacred Fire, hoping to finish Groudon, but didn't expect that Groudon might counterattack, and as such, she has paid the price of great injury, when she was struck with a fucking, Precipice Blade. She was lucky though that her Sacred Fire has struck Groudon, so they were both dealt damage and injury. Now, both Pokemon are on their last leg, and barely holding themselves from falling down to their defeat.

Then there was a battle between Mega Rayquaza and Mega Mewtwo. The battle of battles. The best and most destructive battle Ash… anyone has ever seen, really. The attacks were flying all over the place, Pokemon following after them, crashing in to the Monsu Island or the ocean, then coming back up for more. It was amazing. Seeing both Pokemon panting from exhaustion in the air, Ash knew that the end is near. Seeing Mega Rayquaza firing the most powerful Draco Meteor he has ever seen, made Ash worried, that Mega Mewtwo is not going to be able to get away from this, but then he ended up using Psywave, which crashed against the destructive spheres of energy, causing dozens of explosions all over the sky above the Monsu Island.

The crashes went for a while, and when it all ended, and the smoke cloud dissipated, Mega Rayquaza and Mega Mewtwo were seen, still floating in the air, and still looking at each other, but now panting even more than before.

Ash looked toward May, remembering her words from earlier. "Well, I trained them well, while I was traveling through Kanto Region," Ash said. "As such, I was expecting them to be strong, though I admit that I wasn't sure if Ra and Amaterasu would be able to defeat Groudon and Kyogre. As for Mewtwo, if Rayquaza wasn't in its Mega Form, then they would be equal, just like they are now, when they are both in Mega Forms."

"Well, truthfully, if they didn't Mega Evolve, Ra and Amaterasu would have lost." Max said.

"Most likely," Ash nodded. "The same goes for Mewtwo. I honestly didn't expect Rayquaza to show up in its Mega Form. Why would it even do that, when every time it stopped the battle between Groudon and Kyogre, it was in its normal form?"

"If you don't know it, Ash… then we know it even less." Serena said. Just like everyone else, she was in awe at the power of Ash's Pokemon, not so much Mewtwo, as he is a high-tier Legendary Pokemon, but Ra and Amaterasu were a different thing, and she was impressed with how powerful they are. They are above anything else she has seen from any other regular Pokemon in all of her life.

The battle between Ra and Kyogre was over, and Ra has won, now all that is left is to see if Amaterasu and Mega Mewtwo, can defeat Groudon and Mega Rayquaza.

Somehow, Amaterasu and Groudon got back up after they were hit by very powerful attacks, which should have ended their battle. But, it didn't end it, and the two Pokemon are still battle ready, though barely.

It seems like that they can try at least one attack each, to try and defeat the opponent, and that's what they are going to do.

Groudon went first, and fired the most powerful Solar Beam, it could produce at that moment, as it isn't at its full strength.

Amaterasu barely dodge the attack, letting it pass inches away from her body. Then, with the last of her strength, she fired an Aeroblast, which struck Groudon straight in the chest, making the large Pokemon collapse on its back, where he lied, unable to stand back up.

Groudon was defeated, while Amaterasu roared in victory, before she passed out and fell on the Shore of Monsu Island.

With Groudon defeated, the Blue Orb left Ash's body, who, unlike Archie, didn't scream and pass out after that happened. He just stood there, along with everyone else, watching as the Blue Orb flew into the sky, and started to circle around along with the Red Orb.

Mega Rayquaza and Mega Mewtwo, floated in the air, looking at each other. They were barely holding themselves from falling down. In fact, the will not to lose, is the only thing keeping them up.

Their last attacks had took a lot out of them, but they still have enough energy for one last shot. As such, Mega Rayquaza flew high into the air, its body becoming outlined in a green aura, before it dived down toward Mega Mewtwo with great speed.

Mega Mewtwo decided to respond the best way he could at that moment, and with all the remaining power he has, seeing as this is the end of the battle. His body become surrounded by an orange sphere of energy. Then, the orange color faded and turned purple, with orange streaks of energy that spiral around the orb. Mega Mewtwo then flew straight at the incoming Mega Rayquaza.

This is the end of the battle, the final clash. Mega Rayquaza using Dragon Ascent against Mega Mewtwo using Giga Impact.

Seconds later, the two Mega Pokemon collided with each other, creating a large explosion, which spread around the surrounding area in a form of a shockwave so powerful it cleared the sky of all the clouds.

The clash between Mega Rayquaza and Mega Mewtwo, ended with both Pokemon falling down toward the ocean, after they reverted back to their normal form. As such, there was no winner to it.

As soon as that battle was over, and the two Pokemon fell toward the ocean, Ash sprang into action, and used his Psychic powers to stop their fall, and then levitate them all the way to the shore, where he laid them both down.

Everyone around Ash watched in fascination at what he has done, and how he was able to use powers like this. It was amazing, and each and every single one of them wished that they can do that as well. Unfortunately for them, only Serena will be able to that… some day.

Ash went down to the shore, where he landed Rayquaza and Mewtwo. He then used his powers to levitate Amaterasu all the way from where she fell unconscious, and finally, Ra managed to come by himself. He was tired from his battle against Kyogre, but held himself like a champ, and didn't fall unconscious.

Ash stood over his Mewtwo and Amaterasu, who were lying down, and next to him, stood Ra. Ash then went over his backpack and found some potions and sprays, before he started to treat the wounds on Amaterasu and Mewtwo, before he moved over to Ra. By the time he was finished with Ra; Amaterasu, Mewtwo and Rayquaza have regained consciousness and were all looking at Ash.

Ash looked at them, before he smiled. "I'm proud of you, guys…" Ash said, before he heard a growl from Amaterasu," and girl," Ash added, getting a satisfied nod from Amaterasu, making him and Ra both smile at that.

"All three of you have done an amazing job fighting against the Legendary Pokemon like Groudon, Kyogre and Rayquaza," Ash spoke again. "You were even able to win, or pull a tie, and a tie against Mega Rayquaza is a win in my book, so no worries, Mewtwo.

"That being said. I hope that now that you are this powerful you will not stop training. There is never a limit to a power one can achieve, so the three of you can still become much more powerful then you are right now."

Mewtwo, Amaterasu and Ra, looked at each other and nodded. "We will continue to train, Ash," Ra said in human voice. His voice was deep, not extremely deep, but still somewhere up there.

"We weren't even planning to stop training, so there was really no need to tell us that," Amaterasu added. Her voice was gentle, yet full of power, which requested respect. Sort of like a Queen or some royalty from some country. "We all want to become as powerful as we possibly could, and to do that, we have to train. Now that we have broken through our original limit and achieved Mega Evolution, we can advance even further, which is great."

"It sure is great," Ash said with a smile on his face, before he looked at Mewtwo, who was back in its original form, proving to Ash that his Mega Evolution was not permanent like with his other Pokemon, and that he can't speak human language, even after he did Mega Evolve. "What about you?"

"You know as well as I do, that I will never stop training to improve myself." Mewtwo said with slightly annoyed voice.

"Good to know." Ash simply said, before his eyes moved at Mega Rayquaza, who was looking at Ash all this time. Ash stood up from where he was kneeling next to Amaterasu, Ra and Mewtwo, and moved toward the Dragon/Flying Legendary Pokemon. "Seeing that you are injured, are you willing to let me treat some of those injuries? I promise I won't do anything else. There is no need, really."

Rayquaza looked at Ash for a while, judging him to see if he was telling the truth or not. In the end, he decided that Ash is trustworthy, and that he should let him take care of its injuries, which are not that small, and would take Rayquaza a while to heal itself on its own. As such, Ash's help is necessary.

Eventually, Ash was able to help Rayquaza heal as much as possible. He cleaned its wounds, and bandaged some of them as well. That's pretty much all he could do, as he isn't Nurse Joy, but it was still better than nothing.

Once Rayquaza was in a better state, it just lied there, and watched with interested look on its face, as Ash went and did the same thing to Groudon. He cleaned the wounds, burns and all the injuries, before he patched up what he could.

By the time he was finished, it has passed some time, as Rayquaza and Groudon are big Pokemon and aren't easy to heal. Ash did wonder though, what happened to Kyogre, and how will it deal with its injuries, without some help.

Then Ash realized that they are Legendary Pokemon for a reason, and even without his help they would have been fine, though it would have taken them longer to heal then with his help.

As such, once Ash was finished with Groudon, the Legendry Pokemon stood back up on its feet, and looked at Ash. Then it looked at Rayquaza, who was up in the air. The two Legendary Pokemon were looking at each other for a while, as if communicating.

Suddenly, Kyogre emerged from the ocean, close to the shore, where Ash, Groudon and Kyogre are. All four looked at each other, before Rayquaza roared to the sky, and a Jade Orb appeared out of nowhere, shocking Ash, along with his friends and enemies, who were still there, though a little away from Ash and the Legendary Pokemon.

Red Orb, Blue Orb and Jade Orb, floated around each other in the sky, before they all touched each other, and in the blinding flash of light, the three orbs disappeared, leaving behind a single Black Orb.

The black orb floated down to Kyogre, who was in the ocean, and once it landed on the Legendary Water Type, Kyogre was enveloped in white light. Once the light disappeared, it revealed Kyogre, which looked a lot different then it originally did. It was over twice the size of its original size. The coloring went from darker blue, to purple-like. The markings on its body changed shape and coloring. Even the eyes went from black to yellow. Finally, all the injuries that Kyogre had, have vanished and it looked as good as new. All in all, Kyogre looked much more menacing and powerful.

Then, the Black Orb went from Kyogre to Groudon, and also touched it. Again, just like Kyogre, Groudon changed again. It grew bigger, though not as much as Kyogre. It was still mostly red in color, though the gray part on the underside of its body, went to black. The black cracks on its original body were now yellowish, looking more like magma. The white spikes on the side of its body, were now changed to black. Even the black part around its eyes, is now more like magma, while the eyes went from yellow with a black pupil, to a red ring around the yellow magma. Just like Kyogre, Groudon looked much more menacing and powerful and all of its injuries, along with the bandages that Ash wrapped around it, were gone. Ash would have sighed at the wasted time it took to heal Groudon, if not for the fact that he was shocked by what he was seeing.

Once Groudon's transformation was over, the Black Orb moved away from him, but it didn't go toward Rayquaza, like almost everyone there though. Instead, it floated in the air for a few seconds, before it stopped, and then suddenly shot toward Ash, who barely had the time to lift his right arm, in order to catch the Orb, before it hit him.

Surprisingly, though, the orb went through his arm, then through his body, and came out from behind him, all in an instant, before anyone could blink.

Ash stumbled backwards, though he managed to stop himself from falling on his ass. He looked at his hand, then at himself, trying to find out, what the hell just happened? Unfortunately, he couldn't find anything different about him, so he looked at the three Ancient Pokemon.

"What did you do?" Ash asked them, while his eyes were narrowed, and glowing with power. His aura was leaking from his body, as he was angry at what just happened, as he has no idea, what happened.

"You can relax, Ash," Ash heard Rayquaza speak to him, so he looked at the large Pokemon flying above him. "We didn't do anything that will hurt you, but something that will help you eventually, or better said. Something that will help you and your Pokemon in the future."

'What does that mean?' Ash asked, but he was using Telepathy, so that those around him, both his friends and his enemies, wouldn't hear. He will tell his friends later, but he doesn't want his enemies to know about the stuff he talks about with Rayquaza.

"You have been blessed by our kind before," another voice said. This time, it was Kyogre. "That blessing gave your Pokemon access to the powers they wouldn't have been able to use in any other way. Right now, you have received the blessing of the three of us, as well."

'I see,' Ash said. 'But what does that mean, exactly. Does it mean that my Pokemon can use some of your special attacks, like the Origin Pulse, Precipice Blades and Dragon Accent?'

"It's much more than just that," Groudon said. "They will be able to use those attack. Your Water Types will be able to use Origin Pulse, your Dragon Types, will be able to use Dragon Accent and your Ground Types will be able to use, Precipice Blades. BUT, another thing that you're Pokemon have gotten access to thanks to our blessing, is the same thing that Kyogre and I just went through."

Ash looked at Groudon, thinking about what it said, when suddenly, he realized what the Ancient Ground Type was talking about. 'You can't mean, Primal Reversion. Can you?' Ash asked in shock.

"I am." Groudon confirmed.

'But isn't that something only you and Kyogre can do?' Ash asked.

"Normally it is," Kyogre said. "What we need to do to go through Primal Reversion, is to hold out orbs. They are the reason why we can do that, while the other Pokemon can't. They don't have the orbs of this kind."

"That being said," Groudon continued where Kyogre stopped. "We fused our two orbs, with Rayquaza' Jade Orb, which created a Black Orb, which you have seen. A Black Orb allowed Kyogre and me to use Primal Reversion. Now normally, after we use Primal Reversion, we eventually return to our base forms, but because of the Black Orb, we will stay like this forever. Rayquaza can also use the power of the Black Orb to permanently, Mega Evolve, though I doubt that it would become able to speak human language, like your Mega Evolved Pokemon can."

Ash though about everything that he has just heard. It's a good thing that his Pokemon can now get access to moves like Origin Pulse, Precipice Blades and Dragon Accent, but the fact that they can now go through Primal Reversion, is a bit over the top, so to say. His Pokemon are already Mega Evolving because of his connection to Mewtwo, and now this. It's to strange, and if this keeps happening, his Pokemon might end up so powerful that they will not be able to fight against anyone besides each other.

'Why did you do this for me and my Pokemon?' Ash asked the three ancient Pokemon.

The three Pokemon looked at each other, then at Ash, before back at each other. In the end, they nodded to one another, and Rayquaza spoke. "There are many things that you do not understand, Ash. There is a reason why all this keeps happening, there is a reason why you have all the powers you do, why you are so powerful, and keep getting more and more powerful.

"It all comes down to the fact that, you… are not a regular human being." Ash was wide-eyed after he heard this. He couldn't believe it.

'What do you mean?' Ash asked.

"Your ancestry goes far beyond what you believe," Rayquaza said. "Those ancestors were not regular humans, they were something else. Over the millennia, their blood was diluted, so none of their descendants were as powerful as they were, or even come close to them.

"Then, you were born, and you had so much power and so much potential, that it was obvious even then, that you have a potential to handle the power that you might achieve one day. Your closer ancestors, they weren't as strong as you are, and as such, they wouldn't be able to handle all the power of your first ancestors, if they were to get it. You though, you could handle their power, all you need, is to get it."

'Ok, if all of that is the truth… which is hard to believe, then tell me. What is it that I need to do, in order to achieve this power, you talk about?' Ash asked.

"Nothing… and everything." Kyogre said, making Ash look at it, with raised eyebrows.

"What Kyogre means is that you will only get the powers of your first ancestors, if you deserve to get it," Groudon said. "You won't be able to achieve it by yourself no matter what you do. What you need, is the blessing of every single high-tier Legendary and Mythical Pokemon in existence, in order to get the power we are talking about. Basically I'm talking about the Pokemon like the three of us, Lugia, Ho-Oh, and the other Legendary of our level. As for the Mythical, I'm talking about Pokemon like Mew, Celebi, Arceus, and such."

'B-But why?' Ash asked.

"The first Pokemon who came to be in the Universe… were all created by your ancestors," Rayquaza said, making Ash's eyes pop out of his head. "Arceus, along with other Pokemon from this world, who are considered to be extraterrestrial and extradimensional, they were all created by your ancestors. The rest of us, were later created by Arceus.

"All of them have small, almost insignificant portion of the powers your ancestors poses. But, each time you are blessed with the power of one of the Legendary or Mythical Pokemon, you gain a small portion of your ancestor's power. You need to get as many pieces of the power as possible, and combine it into yourself, and then, only then, you would be able to awaken the power of your ancestors.

"Do you understand this, Ash Ketchum?"
