I'm a Djinn
Once again, the night wrapped Paris in its veil of shadows, and Aoi walked the streets like a silent predator. Hunger pulsed through his veins, but that wasn't the only thing driving him out that night.
"Why can't I get that damn Djinn out of my head?"
He shook his head, trying to dispel the thoughts that surged like relentless waves. Reita's teasing smile, the intense gaze that seemed to strip his soul bare. All of it irritated him deeply.
— He's just a meddlesome demon. — Aoi muttered to himself, his lips tightening into a firm line.
Despite his words, the memory of the previous night remained vivid, like a fire he couldn't extinguish. The way Reita looked at him, as if daring him to give in, made him feel exposed, vulnerable—something he hated to admit.
"I wasn't attracted. It was just... curiosity."
Meanwhile, in the alley where they had met before, Reita was already waiting. Casually leaning against a graffiti-covered wall, the Djinn was confident the vampire would return.
"He'll come. Not just because of hunger, but because he can't avoid me. Vampires are such proud creatures, but deep down, they're slaves to their desires."
Reita smiled into the night, his eyes gleaming with predatory anticipation. He loved testing the limits of beings like Aoi, pushing them beyond what they thought they could endure.
— Let's see how long you can resist, my dear vampire...
When Aoi finally stepped into the alley, he did so with firm strides, his expression impassive. His eyes locked onto Reita's immediately, and the Djinn raised an eyebrow, a smile forming on his lips.
— I knew you'd come back. — Reita said, his voice dripping with almost playful provocation.
— I'm not here for you. — Aoi replied, his voice as cold as steel, sharp and direct.
Reita, however, wasn't fazed. He stepped forward, ignoring the other's defensive tone. The dark, narrow space carried an atmosphere thick with secrets and unspoken promises.
— Of course not. You're here because you're hungry. But tell me, Aoi... — Reita leaned in slightly, as if sharing a secret. Curiosity gleamed in his eyes. — Is it only your hunger that brought you back?
The question hung in the air, almost tangible. What truly drove him? Aoi could feel the alley walls closing in around him as his thoughts began to whirl. It was impossible to deny that hunger guided him, but there was something else, an invisible force pulling him back to this place, to this enigmatic being.
He hesitated, his mind racing with possibilities. What did Reita really want to know? Was he focused on Aoi's physical hunger or something deeper, something he couldn't yet define? The game had begun, and Aoi knew he couldn't avoid the questions that were about to be revealed.
Aoi narrowed his eyes, trying to ignore the shiver running down his spine.
— What do you want, Djinn?
— Just a game. — Reita gestured with a mischievous smile. — A game of questions and answers.
— I'm not interested in games.
— Oh, but I believe you are. — Reita took another step closer, closing the distance between them. — Here's the rule: for every truth you tell me, I'll reveal one of mine. Fair, don't you think?
Aoi hesitated, fighting the urge to step back.
— And if I refuse?
— Then we'll stay here, locked in this unspoken game of who looks away first. — Reita tilted his head, his smile widening. — What will it be, vampire?
Aoi took a deep breath, trying to ignore the uncomfortable feeling of being manipulated.
— Ask your question.
Reita smiled as if he had expected that answer.
— Why did you avoid me all night?
Aoi arched an eyebrow, his jaw tightening.
— I wasn't avoiding you.
— Lie. — Reita shook his head with amusement. — Try again, and be honest this time.
— Maybe I didn't want to waste my time with someone so... irritating.
Reita let out a low chuckle.
— Irritating, huh? Then why are you here, Aoi?
The vampire glared at him, feeling his pride wounded and something deeper bubbling within.
— You ask too many questions, Djinn.
— That's the point of the game, my dear. Now it's your turn. Ask me anything.
Aoi thought for a moment before posing his question:
— Why are you so interested in me?
Reita leaned in again, his eyes shining with an unsettling intensity.
— Because you're fascinating, Aoi. A vampire so proud, so controlled, yet with a fire you can't hide.
Silence fell between them, heavy and charged with tension. Aoi felt the weight of Reita's words but refused to let them affect him.
— You're wasting your time.
— Possibly. But I'm a Djinn, and time is never a concern for me. I want to see what happens when that control finally breaks.
Aoi turned, as if wanting to end the conversation, but Reita moved swiftly, gripping his arm.
— Running away again?
— I'm not running. — Aoi growled, his gaze burning with anger.
Reita smiled.
— Don't worry, vampire. I'll be here, waiting, until you realize you can't escape me.
With those words, he released Aoi, who walked away without looking back, his heart pounding in a rhythm he refused to acknowledge.
Aoi left the alley in a hurry, his firm steps echoing along the silent street. He kept his eyes fixed on the distant lights of the Eiffel Tower, as if they were a beacon guiding him away from the turmoil in his mind. Hunger burned in his veins like a poison he couldn't ignore. Yet, something else unsettled him, gnawing at his focus.
"Because you're fascinating." Reita's response echoed endlessly in his head, like a relentless whisper disturbing even his impeccable composure.
"Why does that Djinn look at me like that? What is his purpose? Why me?" He was a predator, elegant and ruthless, and he wouldn't allow a Djinn to change that.
As he walked the streets, searching for prey to satiate his hunger, his irritation only grew.
"I won't let him affect me. No matter what he wants, he won't succeed."
Yet, he couldn't shake the feeling of being watched. He scanned his surroundings quickly, but the streets were relatively calm.
"Am I being paranoid? Or is he really spying on me?"
Finally, he spotted an easy target—a drunk young man stumbling out of a nearby restaurant into a darker, quieter part of the square.
"Perfect. Quick and uncomplicated."
Moving like a shadow, Aoi closed the distance, pressing the young man against the wall with precise movements. His hunger was sharp, but so was his frustration.
Before he could fully indulge, a familiar voice sliced through the night:
— Rude, but effective. — Reita's smooth, amused tone made Aoi turn sharply.
Aoi glared at him, his fangs still bared.
— Are you following me? — he growled.
Reita stepped from the shadows, hands in his pockets, wearing a lazy smirk.
— You make this too easy. — Reita shrugged, approaching with relaxed steps. — But I must admit, I didn't expect so much... aggression.
— It's none of your business how I feed.
Reita tilted his head, his eyes gleaming with amusement.
— Of course not. But it's interesting to see you trying to hide something. It's not hunger, it's anger. You're mad at me, aren't you?
Aoi took a step forward, his expression dark.
— You're testing my patience, Djinn.
— Oh, but aren't you testing yourself? — Reita tilted his head, the golden gleam of his eyes catching the dim light of the square. — This outburst of anger, this uncontrolled hunger... Is it all because of me?
Aoi narrowed his eyes, his stance rigid.
— Don't flatter yourself. You mean nothing to me.
Reita chuckled softly, stepping even closer.
— Oh, but I meant enough for you to come back tonight. — Reita countered, his words laced with intent. — And, it seems, enough to affect the way you hunt. Admit it, you're mad at me.
Aoi scoffed, stepping away from the Djinn and the unconscious human slumped against the wall.
— Then why are you so out of control? You, who are always so elegant, so in command... Are you really letting a mere Djinn turn your world upside down?
Aoi turned abruptly, pointing a finger at the Djinn.
— I don't need to admit anything. Be careful, Reita. I'm not someone you want to play with.
— Perhaps you're right. — Reita smiled, taking a few steps back. — And yet, for some reason, I enjoy the challenge.
Aoi clenched his teeth, his anger mixing with something deeper, something he refused to acknowledge.
— Get out of here before I forget that you're not my prey. — The threat in Aoi's voice was real, but Reita seemed immune to any intimidation.
— I'll leave, but only because I've had my fun for tonight. — Reita bowed slightly, as if in ironic reverence. — Sleep well, my dear vampire. I'll be waiting for more tomorrow.
Without waiting for a reply, the Djinn vanished into the darkness, leaving Aoi alone with the unconscious body and the thoughts he couldn't control, along with a rage he could barely contain.
He's tearing me apart from the inside. But why? And why do I still care?
Aoi closed his eyes for a moment, trying to calm the storm within before disappearing into the night, determined never to let Reita get so close to his mind—or his heart—again.
Another night stretched like a dark, seductive veil over the city as Aoi tried, in vain, to escape the irresistible presence of Reita. The vampire, with his sharp gaze and heightened instincts, decided that the best strategy was to avoid the Djinn—at least for now.
The idea of getting more deeply involved with that enigmatic and provocative entity unsettled him. Thus, Aoi, a vampire of stunning beauty, sought refuge in the darkness. His deep, enigmatic gaze reflected centuries of solitude, a desire to escape the complexities of the modern world. So he ventured into a forgotten part of the city, where the shadows seemed thicker and the whispers of the night more distant, believing he could hide from his fate there.
As Aoi prepared to seek his meal, he sensed Reita's presence before even seeing him. The Djinn, like a subtle yet unsettling breath, emerged in the distance, watching with a provocative smile on his lips. Aoi, struck by a mix of anger and attraction, realized there was no escape.
Reita was there, and his presence was as magnetic as the moon illuminating the night. With a disarming charm and an otherworldly beauty, he approached, exuding an aura of power. He seemed to feed off Aoi's unease, each movement a hypnotic dance, a provocation that defied logic.
— Did you really think you could hide from me? — Reita's voice pierced the darkness, sharp as a blade.
— I only wished not to be disturbed. — Aoi replied, trying to maintain an indifferent facade.
The words came out weaker than he had intended, as if the darkness itself mocked his attempt to escape. Aoi felt his heart quicken, an internal battle unfolding in his mind. The urge to pull away and the irresistible pull to draw closer were becoming overwhelming.
— Ah, Aoi... You must know that darkness is not a refuge, but an invitation. — Reita said, with a smile that could melt the coldest of souls. — And I am your host.
— Why are you seeking me out? — Aoi questioned, his voice coming out as a hesitant whisper. — You have nothing more to gain from me.
He knew that Reita was in control, manipulating every moment with an unsettling charm that defied reason.
— Ah, but you underestimate the beauty of the unexpected encounter. — Reita replied, his eyes shimmering with a light that seemed to reflect not only the moon but also the mysteries of the universe. — You and I are bound by something much deeper. A connection that transcends logic and defies time.
The bond between them was undeniable; a magnetic force pulled Aoi toward the Djinn, despite his instincts warning him to stay away.
— You think you can trap me with your words? — Aoi asked, trying to regain some of his courage, but the disbelief in his voice betrayed his insecurity. The atmosphere around them was charged with an electric tension, as if the air were about to explode into a thousand sparks of desire and doubt.
— It's not a trap, dear Aoi. — Reita said, leaning in slightly, his breath warm and seductive against the vampire's skin.
The faint whisper of his breath sent a wave of shivers down Aoi's spine, making him wonder if he was truly ready for what was about to happen.
— It's a freedom you never knew you desired. Allow yourself to feel, allow yourself to be free. — Reita's words were like a spell, wrapping Aoi in a mist of uncertainty and curiosity.
The Djinn's irresistible seduction drew Aoi like a magnet, like the source of his deepest cravings. He could feel the fine line between danger and pleasure, and that tension only intrigued him more. The way Reita spoke, as if he knew Aoi's deepest secrets, made him feel exposed and vulnerable. At the same time, the Djinn's words carried a promise of an experience unlike anything Aoi had ever known.
The surrounding darkness, which had once seemed like a refuge, now became a seductive call, an invitation to a world where the boundaries between love and perdition became blurred. Aoi's heart beat faster, and he found himself at the crossroads between desire and reason. Every day his desire to explore this unknown freedom grew, allowing him to experience the emotions he had repressed for so long.
"What if I let myself go?" Aoi thought, an involuntary smile forming on his lips. Reita, noticing the shift in the vampire, smiled back, his eyes gleaming with a light that promised adventures and experiences beyond all expectations.
— So, what exactly are you suggesting? — Aoi, in a bold impulse, took a step toward the unknown, his voice now as soft as the night breeze.
Reita smirked, a smile that promised as much pleasure as pain, and replied:
— This is merely a pastime, dear vampire. A game where the true winners are not just the survivors, but also those who surrender to desire.
Reita, feeling the intensity of Aoi's gaze, couldn't resist. He leaned in a little more, his mouth almost brushing against the vampire's skin. A shiver ran through Aoi as the promise of a kiss lingered in the air, almost tangible. It was a moment of weakness and surrender, where both knew they were on the brink of something that could change everything. A silent invitation to explore the limits of their desires.
— You can't just stir emotions in me and leave like this... — Aoi whispered, his voice laced with a mix of yearning and despair.
Reita, with a mischievous glint in his eyes, hesitated for a brief moment before pulling away slightly, creating a distance that felt unbearable. Aoi felt as if a part of him had been taken, as if the essence of his soul was being drained away, leaving only an aching emptiness behind.
— My dear Aoi, the game is only beginning. — Reita said with a playful smile, his words lingering in the air, teasing a mixture of hope and uncertainty in Aoi. — And I promise, the real fun is yet to come.
Those words, laced with seduction and mystery, left Aoi in a state of anticipation, as if he were standing at the edge of a precipice, ready to plunge into the unknown.
"What was coming next? A challenge? Another encounter?"
Aoi's mind buzzed with possibilities, and although uncertainty haunted him, the flame of curiosity and desire burned fiercely within him.
It was agonizing to realize that, as Reita pulled away, he wasn't just creating physical distance—he was exposing the emotional voids that filled Aoi's life. As he disappeared into the darkness, a wave of frustration surged through the vampire, forcing him to confront his own fears and insecurities.
Why had the search for a midnight meal turned into a battlefield between his predatory nature and the moral dilemmas that now tormented him?
