A/N: Based on the reference to Tolly's dad being at the summer palace in the S02E01 script.
The summer palace is full of people, setting up food, gardening, making the place look lived-in. Roman wanders around, waiting for the rest of the family to arrive.
He spots a man looking at him, one of the men who was hanging a chandelier moments ago. He's pretty sure he's never seen this guy before, but he keeps glaring at him. "Can I help you?" he asks, meaning the fuck are you looking at?
"You don't remember me?" the guy asks. Roman looks closer.
"No," he says finally. "Should I?"
"We met a while ago, at a baseball game? You offered my son a million dollars if he could hit a home run?"
That does ring a bell. "Right. Uh, how are you doing?"
"Better. Your dad gave me a job in return for signing the NDA."
"So hey, it worked out!" Roman doesn't see the problem.
"My son was very upset that day."
"Not my fault he couldn't run fast enough." The guy steps towards Roman and he wonders if he needs his security here.
"Roman!" calls a familiar voice and he breathes a sigh of relief as he turns to see Shiv and Tom approaching.
"What up, sexpot!" he calls. He turns back to the man but he's now walked away.
"Who's that?" asks Tom as he reaches Roman. Roman remembers that Tom was the one who knocked that kid out of the baseball game, so really he's the one who should be eating shit.
"Someone who's about to be fired," he says. "Shiv, come for a walk with me?"
