"All beings are born equally, even if they are not born under a form of equality."

Lightning flashed as a Seer Grimm floated up to the screen.

"All beings are meant to be born differently from each, fostering a form of uniqueness."

The Seer Grimm then shows images of many people, all of whom are different.

Abigail Lincoln and Wallabee Beatles with their Faunus features…

Steven Universe with his Gemstone embedded in his human body…

Stanley and Stanford Pines standing side by side, looking at their reflections in a mirror.

"Some differences are noticeable right away, while others are harder to identify."

The Gem Ruby is then shown, rushing to save the Sapphire she had been assigned to guard, accidentally fusing with her and forming Garnet for the first time.

"Regardless of how different one might be and what abilities they might have, they all must chose which abilities to nurture,"

Lowemon is shown sparring with Valhallen now.

"Other abilities that might not be a priority at the moment,"

Nigel Uno is then shown practicing his Frost-Fire Semblance.

"And some abilities that are just not worth the time in one's eyes."

Yellow Diamond is next shown, dismissing a squad of Rubies.

"Sometimes, the choice of which abilities one might have is obvious,"

Fanny is shown, training under Scotty Blake with a sword.

"While others require time, patience and even a little prodding before becoming something of notice."

Superboy is then shown with his super strength and invulnerability, suddenly becoming injured in battle against Jujunga who is wielding the powers of Dust.

"In order to see one's true potential, one must consider undergoing several regimens of training and seeking out more than one profession,"

Artemis is shown using her bow and arrow combo before she is forced to set her newly modified bow into a staff form.

"Before it is determined where one's strongest abilities lie. It is this quest for understanding one's true potential that leads to many life-altering decisions one will face."

Nigel Uno, Abigail Lincoln and Wallabee Beatles were then shown resting in the Hall of Heroes.

"There are of course, a few sets of skills set for only one specific job. Others could be adapted for many professions."

Double D is shown next, wielding the Armatae armor.

"Sometimes, such a change can be planned."

Sebben is then shown placing a hand over his eyepatch, activating the Gem of Sight.

"And other times, there can be change in one's sense of self over one's own strengths and weaknesses without warning."

Hazel is shown now, injured during his fight with Roland Deschain.

"Regardless of whether these changes are predicted or not, one must be careful and considered all possible options. After all…"

The Seer Grimm lowered out of view, revealing the amused look of Sammael, staring at the screen with a grin and glinting red eyes.

"Not all changes can be considered good or a step forward."

"DANG IT, BENTINA BLEAKLY!" Stan cursed, rubbing his sore arm as he held up the rubber capsule with his gloved hand. "You said you wouldn't break my arm!"

"She technically didn't, Grandpa." Zoe knelt down and looked over her grandfather's arm. "In fact, the bones are only mildly rattled."

"Kid, at my age, mildly rattled could mean my bones have gone to dust." Stan complained, groaning as he tried to stand up.

As part of the plan, Stan along with Zoa, Frida, Soos, Wendy and her mentor Rufus Roughcut were to wait by the Prison Bubble that Cipher had locked Mabel for Bentina to get them the key that allow them to enter.

Wendy knelt down and picked up the key. "Okay, we have the key. Now let's hurry and get Mabel out of there."

She turned to the Prison Bubble, specifically the lock with the chains covering the entire weird thing. Wendy inserted the key into the lock and turned it. The lock fell off the bubble along with the chains into the canyon below.

"Okay, let's go." Wendy turned to the group, nodding to all of them. "Rufus, if we're not back out in ten minutes. Come in and slash everything until you find us."

"Got it, Wendy." Rufus nodded.

With that, Wendy along with Stan, Soos, Frida and Zoe entered the Prison Bubble and they planned to leave with Mabel.

Xxx

When Stan, Soos, Wendy, Frida and Zoe entered the Prison Bubble, they weren't sure what they would end up facing.

What they saw when they entered was a nightmare.

The world was one big theater and in the center was Mabel, bound to a metal chair with heavy restraints on her arms, legs and waist and her eyes were wired open, forcing to look at the screen to see…

A world on fire.

Bill Cipher laughing as he forced her to watch her family being tormented by anything the sick demon could imagine. Mabel screamed and tried to close her eyes or turn her head away from the nightmare, but the restraints kept her from moving, forcing her to watch as Bill turned the reality that was her home into a living nightmare.

"MABEL!" Stan shouted, rushing towards the chair to free his niece.

He struggled to pull the restraints off of her, but they would not move an inch. Soos and Wendy came along to help but they barely made a difference.

Wendy looked up at the back of the room behind the chair and noticed something. "Guys, there's no projector."

It was true.

Despite being modeled after a movie theater, there was no project to project the 'movie' that Mabel was being forced to watch.

"Stand back." Frida and Zoe activated their claws and tried slashing at Mabel's restraints….

SLASH!

SLASH!

SLASH!

SLASH!

SLASH!

…But they didn't even leave any marks.

"We got to do something!" Stan grunted, trying to pull the restraints off.

"Oh, Stan, Stan, Stan." A familiar voice echoed throughout the theater in a mocking tone, making them all freeze. "This would have been a paradise if not for you."

"Bill." Stan grit his teeth as he turned to the screen. "Show yourself!"

"If not you and the rest hadn't worked out your problems on that stupid train, I wouldn't have had to rework this whole little crib I set up for Shooting Star." Bill's eye appeared on the screen. "It would have been a paradise that you would never have wanted to leave. But then she boarded that train and I had make some adjustments."

"The train?" Frida asked. "You knew about the train?"

"Of course, I knew about the train." Bill rolled his eye. "I giant moving group therapy station that just cut out all the fun that came from you 3-D sub-creatures being so sad with all your pitiful little problems. It was absolutely hilarious to watch…And then it soured my own little plans that I had to make sure when you finally came back, you wouldn't ruin things for me by sealing up the rift before I could get my hands on it. Heck, if it had opened in that pocket dimension, my plans would have been foiled and Sammy boy knew it."

'Who?' Everyone thought as Bill continued to rant.

"He probably was counting on it to take out me and that stupid train in fell swoop. Luckily you idiots not only survived but made it back in time just as the fight in Nowhere really got good." Bill laughed. "Now all I need is Sixer to break open the wield field around Gravity Falls and I'll pay Sammy boy back for throwing a wrench in my party plans."

"Who the Nightosphere are you talking about?" Stan shouted.

"Oh right, Sixer told Pine Tree but he never told you or Shooting Star. Heck, even Sebben didn't mention it to you, did he?"

"Sebben?"

"Did it ever occur to you, that there was a lot more than humans and whatever sub-creatures living on this dump verses the big bad Grimm?" Cipher chuckled. "That someone else was behind the scenes and pulling strings like I was here in this backwater town? That someone might have been controlling and directing the Grimm for the past thousand years? Who do you think sent that goth kid that turned into a literal Grimm that almost ate the train?"

Stan's eyes widened. "You're saying…Someone sent that freak after us?"

"Not you." Bill rolled his eye. "You're about as high on his list of arch enemies as you are on mine, not even in the top five thousand. He wanted something that he thought was on the train, so he sent two brats onto that train to find it but no surprise they failed. Still, it was fun to watch, and I got a kick out of Pine Tree being stupid enough to take another deal. You'd think he'd learned after I put him through the meat grinder during the whole puppet episode."

Stan growled as Bill laughed. "You sick, demented-"

"Flattery will get you nowhere with me, Stanley." Bill waved a finger at Stan.

"But you know what will get us somewhere?" Zoe asked, glaring hatefully at Bill as she and Zoe activated something on their power suits, causing cannons to sprout from their shoulders. "Quantum blasters, courtesy of Grunkle Ford!"

Bill narrowed his eye at the sight of those cannons. "You try and hit me, and I'll rip little Shooting Star to pieces."

"Then it's a good thing we're not aiming at you." Frida said before she and Zoe spun and aimed their cannons at Mabel's chair.

"What are you-?!"

ZAP!

ZAP!

BLAST!

BLAST!

The Quantum cannons unleashed thin beams of energy that blasted the chair and Mabel's bonds, freeing her without actually hitting her. Stan rushed up and picked her up as she clutched into his chest tightfully.

"WHY YOU LITTLE-!" Bill's eye blazed with blue flames as black tendrils shot out from the 'screen' aiming to impale the annoying mortals that had blasted his trap…

Only for his tendrils to be repelled by fields of energy shielding them.

"WHAT?!" Bill's eye widened. "You have the same protection as that damn robot?! How?!"

"The idea came from Mabel actually." Frida smiled as she held up a hand, revealing a multi-colored bracelet. "With a little unicorn hair that we got from our tussle with said jerks. We still had a little left over to make our own protection."

"And we have just enough for one more." Zoe held up another bracelet as Stan knelt down next to her, allowing her to slip it around Mabel's wrist.

With that, all of the bracelets created one giant dome of energy around the entire group, protecting them from Bill.

"Why you-" Bill snarled as the theater began to shake. "YOU ARE ALL STARTING TO MAKE. ME. ANGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!"

Shadowy demons with glowing yellow eyes emerged from the screen and began crawling towards the group.

"We got to book! Now!" Stan shouted.

(Cage the Beast by Adelitas Way Starts)

The theater began to collapse around them, even as the shields from their bracelets protected them. They rushed to the exist…

Only to stop as a dozen grey, deformed hands sprouted from the ground.

(I see it in your eyes)

"Oh great." Wendy stepped back as copies of the citizens of Gravity Falls, all of them with glowing red eyes and looking like walking corpses. "Zombies."

"I've seen this movie dudes." Soos gulped. "It doesn't end well."

(You're feeling paranoid)

"Yeah." Stan said, revealing his signature gauntlet weapons as a Huntsman that he named Refund. "For them."

(You know just what I've done)

With that said, Stan Pines charged forward, letting out a battle cry as he began punching his way through the zombie hoard.

(You know what I've become)

Zoe and Frida started blasting at the crowd, following Stan as he literally punched his way to the exit.

(I feel it deep inside)

"You think you can escape that easily?!" Bill snapped his fingers.

(With all the pain and lies)

The door marked 'EXIT' suddenly moved away from the group, shooting through the wall.

(I know just what I want)

"I control this world and I'll leave you all to rot as it collapses around you!" Bill proclaimed and laughed as the theater screen was lit on fire. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!"

(I am an animal)

"We'll see about that." Zoe said as she and Frida activated their jetpacks.

Stan picked up Mabel as Zoe grabbed onto his shoulder while Wendy and Soos held onto Frida as they all took off.

(I think it's time I let you go)

The two and their passengers blasted out of the theater as it burned down, coming upon a world that was turning grey.

(If I could just end it all)

"There!" Stan pointed ahead, seeing the Exit Door off in the distance, still flying away from them. "Book it, girls!"

"Hang on!" Zoe and Frida shouted.

"To what?!" Stan, Soos and Wendy asked before the jetpacks propelled them forward with even more power. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

(You can't cage the beast)

The speed of the jetpacks were allowing them to catch up with the Exit Door as it continued to flee from them.

(There's no breaking me)

Above, the sky seemed to be falling apart with literal stars falling onto the now grey, dead world. Zoe and Frida were having a difficult time dodging while trying to keep up with the door.

(You can't cage the beast inside of me)

"We're not going to make it!" Mabel cried, burying her face into Stan's chest. "I'm sorry! This is all my fault!"

(I feel the weight)

Stan hugged her back. "It's not your fault, kiddo."

(And all the pain)

"But it is!" Mabel cried, looking up at her Grunkle. "I got us stuck on the Infinity Train, I had the Rift and I lost it as soon as we were back!"

(You can't cage the beast inside of me)

"Mabel…"

"I just keep messing up!" Mabel cried as a pink aura surrounded her.

Stan's eyes widened. "Mabel!"

(Inside of me)

"I promised I wouldn't be that person anymore!" Mabel shouted.

That was when it happened.

(I feel it in your vibe)

The pink Aura surrounding Mabel spread from her, enveloping her, Stan and Zoe before extending out to Frida, Soos and Wendy.

The aura then took the form of a white and pink glowing star.

(You are a parasite)

The star shot forward, moving faster than Zoe and Frida's jetpacks, actually catching up to the door…and breaking right through it.

(Who knows just what I've done)

The star shot right out of the Reality Dome just before it collapsed, and the star landed several yards away in the woods.

(I think your time has come)

The star faded, revealing the Pines family and the two workers from the Mystery Shack, looking completely fine.

"Whoa. What a rush." Wendy muttered, bringing a hand to her head. "Was that what I think it was?"

(You try to turn the tide)

"Well, were you thinking 'Holy Glob! Holy Glob! I think Mabel has a Semblance'?" Soos asked. "Because that's what I think it was."

(I think you've lost your mind)

At the very same time that this was happening…

"You think a puny Semblance can hold me, the daughter of Cipher?!" Pacifica pointed her hand at them and blue sphere of fiery energy gathered into the palm. "DIE!"

The energy sphere blasted into a beam of blinding blue light that threatened to incinerate everyone…until a dark figure landed in front of them and a force field appeared around them, blocking Pacifica's attack.

(Afraid of what I want)

"Go fish/Go fish!" Klarion and Bill laughed as dozens of chess pieces appeared around them, blocking MEGAS from reaching them.

(To see what I've become)

Pacifica barely had the chance to block before Double D slammed his armored knee into her face, knocking her down.

(I think it's time I let you go)

Coop aimed and fired the Quantum blasters, easily piercing the chess pieces and nearly blasting both Bill and Klarion.

"Whoa/Whoa!" Both exclaimed, barely avoiding the twin energy beams.

(If I could just end it all)

Pacifica got up, opened her mouth that was shown to be gathering blue energy.

"It's no use." Double D stated as he reared fist back. "Armatae analyzed the mech fighting Cipher has adapted the same immunity to its armor. Your powers can't touch me."

(You can't cage the beast)

POW!

BOOM!

Double D's fist made contact with Pacifica's just as she was about to fire her blast and causing an explosion of blue flames.

(There's no breaking me)

"Now, Coop!" Ford called out and Coop slammed his foot on the gas.

MEGAS rocketed at Bill, slamming into him and dragging him up into the sky towards the rift.

"What are you…" Bill's eye widened as he realized their plan. "No, no, no, no, no!"

(You can't cage the beast inside of me)

"Damn you." Pacifica snarled as she stomped through the smoke. "We should have killed you when we had the chance, just like your annoying parents."

Double D scowled under his helmet. "No, you shouldn't have done what you did to them."

(I feel the weight)

Pacifica roared as she conjured multiple black arms from her body and tried pounding away at Double D but the anti-Cipher barrier continued to protect him.

POW-POW-POW!

POW-POW-POW!

POW-POW-POW!

POW-POW-POW!

(And all the pain)

"You shouldn't have brought me and the others here for your fake contest." Double D slowly marched forward through the barrage of punches.

POW-POW-POW!

(You can't cage the beast inside of me)

Pacifica snarled but kept attacking, her rage overcoming any sense of reason in her.

POW-POW-POW!

"You shouldn't have used and manipulated Hoagie the way you did." Double D continued. "And you should have hurt everyone in this town."

(Inside of me)

As this continued, up in the sky, Bill Cipher was about to be thrown back into the Nightmare Realm by MEGAS.

"No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, NONONONONONONONONONONONO!" Bill struggled desperately to break free.

(You can't cage the beast)

MEGAS fired its fists holding Bill and rocketed up towards the rift when they were close enough.

(There's no breaking me)

Down on the ground, Stan, Mabel, Zoe, Frida, Soos, and Wendy watched as Bill was shot back into the rift that he had come from.

(You can't cage the beast inside of me)

Back down in Cipher's castle, Pacifica paused and looked up to see her 'father' being flung back into the rift. "FATHER!"

(I feel the weight)

Bill looked down and saw Pacifica staring up in sheer terror, holding her hand to him.

A flaming hand.

(And all the pain)

He held out his hand to her and both snapped their fingers just before Bill Cipher vanished back into the Nightmare Realm.

(You can't cage the beast inside of me)

"And don't come back you freak!" Stan shouted, punching into the air with a big smile as Bill vanished into the rift that was mimicked by his granddaughters and staff.

(Inside of me)

But Mabel noticed something just before Bill had been thrown into the rift.

A yellow specter resembling Bill as his body had turned to stone, flying straight at the stone pyramid that was Cipher's castle.

INFINITY TRAIN ARC

Opening File: Ed Hill

Ed is a young would-be huntsman who loves the fictional comics and horrors, among the strongest and youngest children of the group to unlock his aura. He is the current Elemental of Slime. Ed does not seem to have a noteworthy relationship with any member of his family, as his father is deceased and his mother often chooses Sarah's side over his.

Ed's remarks and Sarah's threats give a decent impression as to what their household is like. It is also made clear that Sarah is spoiled, and Ed often gets the blame for any problem that occurs in or around the house. Nevertheless, Ed surprisingly cares a lot about Sarah. Ed is kind, good-natured, and happy-go-lucky with a positive attitude towards almost everything and everyone he encounters. He is the type of person who sees everybody he meets as a potential friend. Ed is also very absent-minded and naïve, making him the perfect candidate for Eddy to help him with his scams, as Ed hardly ever questions them. Even so, Ed never feels abused by Eddy despite being the workhorse for almost all of Eddy's scams.

However, Ed is often the subject of abuse by his younger sister Sarah. He always fears Sarah when she gets him in the palm of her hand. Even though she torments him a lot, he still loves Sarah dearly and does his best to protect her and make her feel happy. Ed is a loyal fan of low-budget horror movies and comic books but often misinterprets them as reality. He is an animal lover as well, with chickens being his favorite animal, a running gag throughout the series. His love of chickens sees him often attempting to borrow those belonging to Rolf, and he once even ignored a Jawbreaker giveaway mere feet away from the candy store in order to dive into a gigantic chicken drive.

Ed also enjoys certain foods, most notably buttered toast and gravy, as the unused bathtub in his bedroom is filled with the latter. Other foods that Ed likes are pudding skin and Chunky Puffs. Some examples of what Ed doesn't like are vegetables and soap, meaning he does not lead a basic healthy life, much to the chagrin of the more hygienic Edd. Even so, he doesn't seem to suffer physically under his low maintenance lifestyle. Although Ed is a very childlike and loving character who will easily hug, kiss, or playfully interact with other characters, the Kanker Sisters are a rare exception for him. The equally loving May Kanker is often left standing.

Above all, Ed is a loyal friend who sticks by those he cares for as much as he possibly can. During his time on the Gem Homeworld and on the Infinity Train, Ed has met and befriended a number of people, even those that would be considered enemies in the eyes of others, such as Slime Pearl. He has also grown close to Mabel Pines, bonding with her over their shared sibling troubles. It is likely that Mabel has given him the chance to explore the sibling relationship he has not been able to experience with Sarah, no matter how nice he was with her and likewise, Mabel has encouraged and supported Ed in many ways that Sarah never did.

"Kid, if you go you might be killed!" Stan argued.

"He's my brother!" Mabel cried out, becoming hysterical. "You spent thirty years trying to save your brother!"

Stan paused, looking at Ford who helplessly stared back.

What could they do?

If they go on, the Dark Substance would likely kill them.

If they don't then Dipper would…

If he wasn't already.

Ed emerged from the car behind them. "Mabel, guys. What's going on? Why have you all stopped?"

Ed then froze when he saw the dark liquid slowly coming over the bridge to the next car, towards him and his friends.

Darkness…

Evil, snarling Grimm rampaging…

Evil…

Humanoid figures could be seen, their eyes glowing red.

Grimm…

The monsters let out a collective roar…

The Fallen…

And in the center, their master, the King of the Grimm himself grinned.

Must stop…

Ed was trembling now, the memories of the past Slime Elementals flashing in his mind, instinctively knowing what was happening.

The Grimm and by extension their masters, the Fallen were taking over the Infinity Train.

Ed was shaken out of his thoughts as a surge of power shot through him. Raising his hand and to the shock of everyone behind him, Ed summoned a wall of slime that blocked the strange dark liquid from spreading any further.

"What in the-" Stan exclaimed.

"Remarkable." Ford muttered.

"How'd he-" Frida started with wide eyes.

"Do that." Zoe finished with an equally shocked face.

"Ed?" Mabel asked softly.

Ed turned around and everyone could see brownish green flames emitting from his eyes.

"Ed-boy's hidden powers have surfaced once again." Rolf stated. "And not a moment too soon."

"Oh yeah, Ed's slime powers." Jonny recalled.

"Slime powers?" Stan and Ford looked at the Peach Creek kids, Stan confused but Ford looked shocked.

"Yeah, he's apparently the Slime Elemental. One of the Four Elementals of Life." Jonny stated.

"One of the Four Elementals was with us all along?!" Ford gaped.

"Whoa, Sixer! Calm down!" Stan patted his brother on the back. "You know what this is?"

"If he's what I think he is, Stanley, he might be our only shot at getting off this train alive." Ford explained. "The Four Elementals, not ones of nature but of the building blocks of life itself. They are the guardians of life on Earth, ensuring that no matter what happens, life endures on our planet to keep the Grimm in check."

"We kind of heard this already from Sebben." Kevin cut in. "And we've met at least two of the others."

"Right, Nigel and Abby." Jonny said with a smile. "Ice and Candy."

Mabel's head shot at Jonny. "There's someone with candy powers?!"

"I don't know who came up the candy title, but it just stuck for some odd reason." Ford rubbed the back of his head. "But yes, the Elementals control the four basic building blocks of life. Candy represents glucose and carbohydrates, slime represents lipids and proteins, fire represents oxidative metabolism, and ice represents water and homeostasis. Together, all four powers could be used to create and destroy life on a global scale."

Mabel gulped and looked back at Ed who stared back with a solemn gaze. "Ed…"

ZAP!

BLAST!

Everyone looked up to see Double D, flying overhead in the Armatae armor, firing on the rapidly spreading darkness. However, the energy blasts seemed to have little effect on the Grimm matter as it tried to overtake the wall of slime Ed had made.

As for Ed himself, his mind was being overtaken by…memories.

An age where Giants walked among Men.

An age where magic was a gift that was shared by all.

A world of Mystics, Gods and Demons.

An age coming to an end.

Armies of dark monsters with red glowing eyes.

Led by a man with eyes and hair matching the color of blood.

Armies marched on land, emerged from sea and some were even flying through the air towards a desolate land.

The man in dark armor stood in the center of the devastated land, eyes glowing red as he summoned a dark sword and plunged it into the ground, releasing a shockwave of red fire that spread through the surrounding area. Scorched into the ground was the symbol of a spiral.

Twelve Gems, each of them glowing a different color appeared around Sammael as he stood up.

Beams of light blasted the Spiral Gems away from Sammael before he could use them. Turning to face the incoming army led by Ozric, Sammael glared and pointed his sword at them. From behind him came a massive army of Grimm, all of them large and monstrous and that wasn't the least of Ozric's problems. With them were other Fallen like Sammael, charging straight into battle at the behest of their master.

The army of Humans, Faunus, Mobians, Gargoyles, Trolls and Fae charged towards the Grimm, meeting them head on in battle.

The Elementals, Ice, Fire, Slime and Candy standing with the Sorcerer King as he led his people against the evil.

Magic bolts incinerated Grimm while swords skewered others. However, Grimm would trample, crush, and even devour many more warriors in return. Sammael calmly strolled through the battlefield, slashing his way through anyone who attacked him. He stopped as a large group of warriors charged at him.

Rearing his head back Sammael inhaled and roared, releasing a stream of sonic shockwaves that blasted through the group, shattering their bodies instantly. Ozric turns and sees Sammael approaching him and holds up his sword as it begins to glow a golden light. He charged forward and clashed his blade against Sammael's. The Fallen's eyes glowed bright red and he gave the king a hateful glare.

They clashed several times before Ozric jumped back and summoned a large sphere of energy, resembling a sun that he hurled at Sammael who calmly held his sword up and then slashed his sword down on the attack, cutting the energy sphere in two.

The remains of the energy blast flew past him and blasted the ground behind him.

The soldiers rushed to retrieve the Spiral Gems, many of them dying in the process as Grimm would attack as they tried picking the Gems up but soon enough all twelve Gems were retrieved.

When the twelve holders of the Gems surrounded him, Ozric held up his sword and a pillar of light shot up into the sky, before coming back down and releasing a shockwave of blinding light.

Grimm and Fallen alike were wiped out except for Sammael who covered his eyes as the light enveloped him.

"Do you see it all?"

Flames all around him.

A cathedral, bright and beautiful, surrounde by a city of flames.

A woman, tied to a post as the fires danced closer to her.

A man, cold and cruel, masking an insanity fueled by passion.

A soldier, torn between what was right and what was lawful.

And…a monster, chained atop the cathedral, emitting a dolorous howl as it watched the fires spread, growing closer to the woman. Behind it, Fenrir's face peeks out from the shadows, his maw twisted into a ferocious, sneering smirk.

Finally, finding new strength, it rips down the stone works around it and tears apart the chains holding it back. Fenrir hissed and made to pounce but was flung back by a backhanded swing of the monster's arm, crashing down to the streets below. The monster turns and takes a running leap from the cathedral, crying out to the mass of faces crowding around the growing fire.

"ESMERELDA!"

"Do you feel it?"

Then there was his sister, Sarah being devoured by the wolf demon Fenrir.

"That weight you feel is all that you wish to protect."

Mabel, crying out for her brother as he is transformed into the Spider Knight.

"The Elementals govern the elements of life but they also govern the energy of all forms of life.. Fire burns, governing the power over 'Force'. It does not simply burn things but controls other forms of energies."

He could see someone with blazing eyes taking off into the air, fire blasting from their feet like rockets.

"It allows them to defy and govern gravity forces,"

The likely Fire Elemental then somehow summoned lightning from their hands.

"Electromagnetic forces,"

They then preformed a series of rapid movement, their body turning red as they were surrounded by Grimm.

They attacked…and were destroyed with one hit.

"And kinetic forces."

He then saw someone summoned spikes of ice from the earth, impaling numerous Grimm.

"Ice freezes, governing over all things cold but it also governs over a force of energy. The power of Entropy."

Entropy?

The Grimm that were impaled and then frozen, their bodies breaking and shattering.

"By freezing and even lowering the temperature of anything it touches, Ice governs and controls Entropy to the point that it can remove Entropy to nothingness, destroying information on the fundamental level."

A new Elemental was shown, Candy.

"Candy represents glucose and carbohydrates and the force it governs is 'Evolution'. The limitless ability to control and manipulate any chemical on the periodic table to create anything."

The Candy Elemental's body hardened its own form, shattering a Grimm's head then suddenly long and stretchy as rubber.

"And then there is Slime." Ed's eyes widened as someone appeared before him. "Slime represents lipids and proteins and the force it governs is Stillness."

Stillness?

"Yes, Stillness meaning stagnation, the stopping of development, growth, progress, and change; as it represents stillness, it can prevent whatever that tries to change or develop from happening."

Prevent any change?

Ed's eyes went wide as a literal idea popped in his head.

"I AM ED!" Ed proclaimed, his eyes flaring. "CHEESE AND MACARONI!"

He slammed both hands into the ground and the group watched in shock and awe as slime spread out from his hands and surrounded the group in a slimy igloo that protected them from the rapidly spreading Grimm matter.

(Bad Apple Sung by Cristina Vee Starts)

But it didn't stop there.

As quick as the Dark Substance was spreading, the slime created by Ed's elemental powers began to spread, enveloping the car he and his friends were on, the Grimm matter and spreading across the train in both directions. The slime would cover the Dark Substance, preventing it from spreading even as it fought against the slime.

(Ever on and on I continue circling)

"Whoa." Mabel stared with widened eyes at Ed who remained strangely focused and composed as he called upon the power of Slime to combat the Grimm matter.

(With nothing but my hate in a carousel of agony)

"Here we go with the Elemental thing again." Kevin said as he poked against the slime wall. "Did the dork have to trap us here?"

"Ed-boy is not trapping us, Kevin." Rolf replied, watching as the Dark Substance covered the slime dome they were in. "Ed-boy is protecting us from the darkness."

(Till slowly I forget and my heart starts vanishing)

"Amazing." Ford muttered in awe. "The slime is blocking the Grimm substance. Almost nothing outside Armatae could have accomplished this."

(And suddenly I see that I can't break free, I'm)

"So, how are we going to get out?" Jonny wondered, clutching Plank to his chest. "Plank and I don't like this kind of dark."

"We can't get out of here so as long as that Dark Substance is covering the dome." Ford stated. "And we can't break through the slime or the Dark Substance will flood and kill us."

"Lovely." Stan muttered.

(Slipping through the cracks of a dark eternity)

Ed ignored the chatter as he continued to focus, the slime spreading faster than the Dark Substance through the Infinity Train.

In the countless cars, denizens found themselves covered in slime but aside from that, they were not hurt. In fact, the slime was protecting them from the Dark Substance. In one of the cars, Eddy found himself on a…moon with various creatures partying when he was covered in slime to protect him from the Dark Substance.

Which Double D noticed as he watched from above, speechless from what he was seeing.

(With nothing but my pain and the paralyzing agony)

In the meantime, the Spider Knight grunted as it blasted the slime away and focused on its objective: the heart of the spreading Grimm matter.

It could see a light pulsing in the spreading blackness where Xavier had once been.

Destroy it and the Grimm matter would vanish.

(To tell me who I am, who I was)

The Spider Knight snarled as it struggled through the dark liquid matter that tried to consume it but the Avatar of the Spider pressed forward.

(Uncertainty enveloping my mind)

"This is unbelievable." Double D muttered, watching as darkness and slime spread throughout the train in a never-ending race and conflict with each other. "How can we stop this?"

Destroy the source.

(Till I can't break free, and)

Double D perked up. "The source?"

The Grimm matter is spreading outwards from a single source, suggesting that if the source is destroyed then the matter will vanish as Grimm do when they are slain.

(Maybe it's a dream; maybe nothing else is real)

"Can you pinpoint the source?"

Already have.

(But it wouldn't mean a thing if I told you how I feel)

Double D flew forward, stopping above a train that was now pitch black and covered in slime. "I don't see it."

It's been buried under the slime and Dark Substance.

(So I'm tired of all the pain, of the misery inside)

"Then we can't reach it." Double D said, disheartened. "And if we can't destroy, we'll never get home."

We might not have to.

(And I wish that I could live feeling nothing but the night)

Underneath the slime and the blackness, the Spider-Knight 'swam' through the infinite darkness that tried to consume it.

However, the Avatar of the Spider would not be devoured by the blood of an impure.

(You can tell me what to say; you can tell me where to go)

He could see it.

The beating core of the darkness.

"This ends now."

(But I doubt that I would care, and my heart would never know)

He pointed his hand and unleased a beam of light that engulfed the still beating heart, destroying what was left of Xavier.

(If I make another move there'll be no more turning back)

The heart was destroyed, and the Dark Substance instantly began to burn away. Up above, Double D watched as the Grimm matter began to dissolve into fire and ash.

(Because everything will change, and it all will fade to black)

Back on Earth, Sammael's eyes narrowed, sensing the final death of Xavier. "Wretched Spider…Call yourself whatever you want, no one dares to get in my way and walks away unharmed."

He would be sure to let the Spider know that personally.

(Will tomorrow ever come? Will I make it through the night?)

"GAH!" Eddy screamed as he broke free of the slime once the Grimm matter was gone. "I HATE THIS PLACE!"

"Tell me about it." A female voice said behind him.

He turned to see a girl a few years older than him with purple hair.

(Will there ever be a place for the broken in the light?)

Meanwhile, with Ed and the others, they all watched as the Dark Substance suddenly burned away, allowing Ed to dissolve the slime dome.

(Am I hurting? Am I sad? Should I stay, or should I go?)

"What happened?" Stan wondered.

"If I were to hazard a guess, something must have destroyed the source of the Grimm matter." Ford pondered.

(I've forgotten how to tell. Did I ever even know?)

"So, we're safe now?" Jonny asked, lifting up Plank and sighed in relief. "Yeah, I'm relived too buddy."

(Can I take another step? I've done everything I can)

"If the Spider was successful in destroying the source of the Grimm, maybe we are safe." Ford answered unsurely. "Provided it releases Dipper."

(All the people that I see I will never understand)

"Dipper…" Mabel muttered, and she took off running. "I'm coming, Dipper!"

"Dang it, Mabel! Slow down!" Stan called out, running after her, followed quickly by Ford.

(If I find a way to change, if I step into the light)

"Just when I thought we were getting a break." Kevin muttered, shaking his head.

(Then I'll never be the same, and it all will fade to black)

"Come on, guys! More adventures!" Jonny laughed as he followed after the Pines.

"A nod is as good as a wink to a blind horse." Rolf simply said, following along with the rest of the group.
