A/N Syg, earlier a reviewer was questioning whether Vibranium could be made in the Stargate reality, I guess because it's technically a fictional metal found in asteroids. But scientists do believe they could replicate a comparable metal at some point. Your observation that the things, like the cars and the watches he sold Cordelia's father, that Xander inherited might also have things that his world would consider advanced or unknown because they, like the magical items, were made according to comic book specs, not the real world specs, is not something I'd considered, but fits in with my thought that Magic can extrapolate theory. Probably a good thing Xander hasn't sold off anything else given if this was remotely real it would ultimately invite a lot of scrutiny and the Scoobies are working to keep things a secret. Maybe I should give Willow another project to keep her busy. 😉

As for Angel's actions the night of Halloween, well SoldierXander does lock the front door and tell Cordelia and Princess Buffy that they need to secure the place, which would or should have included locking the back door, or at least making sure it was locked, implied being done during a commercial break. Which, yes, would imply that Angel probably picked the lock and left it opened, which allowed the transformed child monster to get in and Princess Buffy to run out. And absolutely Angel would have ignored anyone needing help, he spent a century doing a lot of ignoring of people needing help. Putting a scene in a story where someone who didn't transform that night confronts him into a story at some point is a good idea.

The idea that the now human Angel is living out what's left of his life in a hospital being poked and prodded and studied because he has all these diseases that as an animated corpse he was unaffected by and now as a human would be affected by would be so fitting. 😁

"Found you." The man whirled around and eyed the three people standing in the room with him. "What exactly are you?"

"Excuse me? What's that supposed to mean?" He played for time, his employer and friend would be back soon.

"Oh, don't even start. I can See you." Xander retorted. "Green skin, pointy ears and not a Vulcan. So what are you?"

He sighed, these mortals were more than most, he knew that. "An elf." He muttered.

"Huh, so elves are real?" Faith asked, stalking around him.

"Fairies, leprechauns?" Cordelia asked, stalking in the other direction.

"Yes, yes." He mumbled. "I didn't expect you to find me. But probably should have, you're unusual humans, that's for sure. But than, that's why I followed you, I figured you'd be entertaining and you were, promise!" He said brightly. "Oberon was right, I am learning to appreciate humans."

"Hmm." Xander eyed him. "Appreciating humans leads to endangering them?"

"It was just a prank!" He insisted. "Something to put a little excitement in their day, that's all. No big deal."

"No big deal?" Faith echoed. "Both Jenny and Joyce could have died, they were both attacked! And now Joyce has that weird bracelet/sword attached to her and we have no idea what it is, if it could hurt her." She glared at the man, elf?

"The Witchblade won't hurt her." He told them. "Like your goddess's Dragonfang, it's bonded to her. Unlike Dragonfang, though, it's sentient and will act to protect it's host. It's the offspring of the Darkness and Angelus or to put it another way, the embodiment of chaos and the embodiment of order. In it's present form it's a supernatural weapon against evil. And unknown in your reality, which should keep anyone from trying to take it from her."

"Is it harmful to her?" Xander growled.

"No." He shook his head. "Like I said, it will protect her. I didn't intend for her to become it's newest host, where they got sent was random, I just gave them what they wanted, an adventure."

"Why them? Why us?" Cordelia demanded.

"I was attracted to the chaos you generate, watching you is fun." He grinned impishly, his eyebrows wiggling. "You should feel flattered, you entertained me."

"Flattered. Right." Xander said flatly. "Maybe I should rethink sending you to irritate Dormammu for a century. Would you survive a century with him?"

"Pfft! A century is nothing. But I can't go, I'm bound here."

"Bound where?"

"To be the servant of David Xanatos and to be his son's teacher."

"Bound by who?" Faith asked, flipping her knives over and catching them by the handles.

"By my honor and by my King's order."

"What would either of them say it they knew you skipped out to play hooky and pranks in another reality?" Cordelia asked, turning Dragonfang slightly so it caught the light.

"Well, not happy, I imagine." He answered uneasily. "But they don't, so it doesn't matter."

"Will they know if we express our opinions on your...prank?" Xander asked. "Will they care or will they say good riddance to bad rubbish?"

"Xanatos will care, we're friends as well. But he's human and can't travel between realities. My King...Oberon might be a tad annoyed, possibly."

"You have power." It was a statement of fact, Xander could see it with the Eye. "Do you stay because you want to or because you have no choice but to obey your King?"

He stiffened, that was very insightful. Too insightful. "I've seen enough to know you'd never threaten a child." He replied. "I stay because I want to protect him."

"Anything we do to you would upset him, the one you're teaching. You matter to him too." Now Xander sighed, the elf's response had been out of concern for the child. "So much for torturing you. What does your word mean to you? What kind of Oath do you find binding?"

"I don't have one."

"Than I guess something else is called for."

'Freedom's loss must be unwitting, into the glass to do my bidding!'
