This was the lowest he had seen Brooke. She had just stayed in bed. No interest or motivation to do anything. She hadn't eaten or drank.
This whole situation had broken her heart and dimmed her spirit.

And Brooke was already dressed for the day.
(Does this mean you're feeling better?) Lucas asked.
(It means. I can't stand to be in bed any longer.) Brooke replied.
(Maybe we should hold off on all this baby talk for awhile.) Lucas suggested.
As he got out of bed and went over to where she was.
