Emma sat down on a bench and held the book Belle gave to her and opened it.

"Watcha doin'." said a new voice.

Emma turned around and hid her book to see Henry.

"Hey, kid, nothing much, you?" she said.

"Had a date with Violet, it went great." said Henry. "What's that book?"

"What book?"

"The one you hid in your jacket."

Emma smiled and pulled it out.

"You always were too smart for me to keep a secret." Emma said.

"The Book of Monsters." read Henry. "Mom, what's this about? I've known you for about three years now and a bit more, I know when something is wrong."

"It's just... I feel something bad is going to happen."

"Mom, all of that stuff is over, we can be happy now."

"I know but there's this feeling..."

"Mom, lots of people have this, it's when you go through so much stress and you think everyone is in danger. Just take your mind on something else."

"I'm trying, kid, I really am but I just have this feeling is not something you can just shrug off. This is not something that can easily be fixed."

"How about this, keep the book away and do something entertaining."

"This is a small town Henry, there's not a lot to do here."

"Mom, this is a place where so many fairy tale characters live together, there has to be something."

"Like what? Let's make a deal, you give me three options and I have to pick one. Think of this as mother and son bonding time."

"Deal, we could... since you're in the mood for reading, we could head to the Library."

"Nah, I'm only interested in reading if it's to save the world, not really as a hobby."

"We could visit August."

"I like August but carpentry is quite boring."

"We could head to Granny's."

"Well, it's the only good options and I could do with some hot cocoa with cinnamon."

"Me too."

Henry and Emma headed to Granny's and ordered their food.

"Thanks, Granny." said Emma.

"You're welcome, honey," said Granny, sternly.

"Are you alright Granny? You seem upset." asked Henry.

"Nothing, it's just I've never missed Ruby this much, I know she's alright and your mother said on how she's dating this Dorothy girl but I just miss her."

"It must be sad," said Henry. "If I had a daughter, I would miss her."

"Well maybe you can have a discussion with Tiny, I'm sure he would be willing to give you a magic bean to see her in Oz." said Emma.

"No, no, I'll just be in the way." said Granny.

"Nonsense!" exclaimed Emma. "I'm sure she's missing you a lot."

"Nah, the lovey dovey stuff is probably in her way."

"No, I know Ruby, she loves you to bits."

"Oh, Emma, I know you mean well but let's face it. I'm just an old lady intervening in my granddaughter's love life."

"Granny, I'm going to discuss with Tiny and I'll know he will give you a bean, I promise."

"That's sweet Emma. $25."

"We don't get a friend discount?"

"I'm not Mr Gold, I don't make the deals around here."

Emma laughed and paid the bill and she waved to Henry goodbye and went into her yellow bug. She went back to the pond and sat down at the same bench and glared into the distance.

"You know what? This is going to be better." said Emma.

Suddenly, a sharp pain stung in Emma's head and she grunted in agony.

"Oww!" she yelled.

Emma reluctantly went back to the bug and took out Belle's book.

"Chapter 1," read Emma. "Scylla."
