The nine helped Belle get packed for her trip. She wore a dark brown leather jacket, light brown tights, long boots and a satchel which contained the book, food and water. They all headed to the bean field so that Belle could safely get to Wonderland before Mr Gold could find out what was going on. At the bean field was Mary Margaret, Ashley, Emma, August, Henry, Regina and another man who wore a black hat.
"Are you sure about this Belle?" asked the man.
"I'm sure, Jefferson." replied Belle. "Someone has to do this."
"Have a safe journey in Wonderland, Belle." said Ashley.
"Thanks Ashley, can I ask you something?"
"Of course."
"Keep Gideon safe and give him my love."
"I promise."
Regina walked up to Belle and handed her a mirror.
"This will make us communicate while you're in Wonderland," she said. "If you are in any danger or have any information that you can tell us, use this."
"Okay, Regina."
"Jefferson, you know Wonderland the best out of all of us. Are there any tips you can give Belle?" asked David.
"Yes," replied Jefferson. "I may not have been in Wonderland for years and the majority of Wonderland wasn't taken in by the curse so it has probably changed a lot but there was one rule I always followed there. Do everything the Queen of Hearts says. She may not be there anymore but there is probably a new ruler. For the Queen of Hearts, it was off with your head. Who knows who these next ones will do to you."
"Got it." said Belle.
"If you're ready." said Jefferson and threw his hat to the ground and it grew in size and wind blew inside of it.
The nine were amazed at this sight, in all of their years of fighting monsters and meeting Gods, they haven't seen something as extraordinary as a portal opening up to a different realm.
"Wonderland!" shouted Jefferson and Belle jumped into the hat.
"No!" shouted a very familiar and obnoxious voice.
Mr Gold was in the bean field but he was too late, Belle was already through, the hat shrank back into its normal size and Jefferson put it back onto his head.
"Open the portal, right now!" demanded Mr Gold.
"No, Gold." said Regina.
"Move out of the way, Your Majesty, you know better than to mess with the Dark One."
"Gold, she gave you an order." said David. "I suggest that you move."
"Not now, Prince Not-So-Charming. This is a conversation between the Dark One and the Mad Hatter."
"I'm not opening the portal," said Jefferson. "Belle wanted to go and you can't force her back."
"You might be mad but even a mad man knew to listen to me."
"Gold!" said Mary Margaret. "You had the opportunity to join us, yet you didn't. This never had to happen."
"She's right, Belle's her own woman, she doesn't have to do anything you say." said Emma.
"Ms Swan, I am the Dark One, I will find a way back to Belle and I'll make sure that you all will pay the price for not listening to Rumpelstiltskin."
"Mr Gold, please." said Ashley. "Belle is my friend, I want to be yours too. She entrusted me with your child, why can't you trust us?"
"You think I trust Cinderella? The Cinderella who gave her child."
Ashley stayed quiet.
"Hey, don't mess with her!" exclaimed Emma.
"You think I was messing with her? You're all about to find out what being messed with is once I'm done with you."
A red smoke engulfed Mr Gold and he teleported away from the field.
"What does he mean by 'we'll pay the price'?" asked Piper.
"It means that we are all in danger." said Regina.
"There has to be a way to stop him." said Percy.
"The thing about Mr Gold, he has power and knowledge. He will not care what will happen to anyone as long as he can get what he wants."
"Are we sure he's not the villain behind the snakes?" asked Leo. "I would love to set him on fire."
"I wish he was but there is a different threat which we need to take care of." said Regina. "We need more safety precautions as well. We need to find a way to stop Gold from interfering with us finding this new villain."
"And how are we going to do that?" asked Annabeth.
"Magic always comes with a price, great magic comes with a great price." said David.
"And with Mr Gold being the most powerful being in all of existence he must have a big price." said Hazel.
"What's his price?" asked Frank.
"The Dark Ones are an old being engraved with dark magic and with that comes a dagger known as the Dark One's dagger which allows us to control the Dark One or use it to kill the immortal and the power will switch to the one who killed the previous one." said Regina.
"So we're going to control Mr Gold?" asked Percy.
"Precisely, and when we do, he can't interfere with us." said Mary Margaret.
"But how will we get the dagger. Mr Gold is smart and won't let us get to his one weakness." said Jason.
"There may be another way." said Regina. "Centuries ago when the first Dark One was made, the dagger was chipped of from a sword known as Excalibur and in theory if we can find the sword..."
"We can control Mr Gold." said Alabaster.
"Long story short, when Pan was our enemy, Gold sacrificed his life to kill his father and then his son Baelfire and Belle resurrected him and then went into the control of Zelena. From there, he got the dagger back into his control but from there, Belle saw the beast in him and with Baelfire dead, he had no more love in his heart which made his heart fully blackened." said David.
"But no one can survive with a heart full of darkness so the darkness went from Mr Gold to Emma and she became the Dark One instead." said Mary Margaret.
"From there, we went to Camelot and I Killian died so I resurrected him and made a second Dark One, me with the dagger and Killian with the sword." said Emma.
"Long story short, Killian sacrificed himself by ending his life and all the Dark Ones into the Underworld." said Henry.
"We thought that was the end but Gold craved power and lied, rather than the darkness leaving forever, he became the new Dark One and more powerful than ever and he turned the reunited Excalibur from dust back into the dagger." said David.
"So in theory, if the dagger survived, so did Excalibur." said Annabeth.
"Yes and with our chances of finding the dagger gone, we still have a chance to stop Gold by finding Excalibur but we have no idea where it is." said Regina.
