The words didn't register to Jayne at first, she thought they had figured everything out. That Barry would be joining them soon. Was she too hopeful?
Holly knew exactly where her daughter's mind was going. "He's okay, he's going to be okay. We just need to go get him."
"We? You and dad? Can I go?" Jayne asked, trying to get her words together.
"We were hoping you and JJ would stay here. Get things ready, we're going to bring him back, I think he will need to stay here for just a bit. Crash on our couch." Robert was hoping Jayne would be okay with this.
Jayne nodded, she wanted to make sure Barry was comfortable. "He can stay in my room. I can stay with JJ."
"Let's see how he can handle the steps. I think the couch is pretty comfy though." Robert gave Jayne a hug. "We will bring him back here, make sure he is safe."
Jayne knew Robert meant that with all his heart. "Thank you, dad."
"You don't have to thank me for protecting our family. That's what your mother and I are here for." Robert squeezed Jayne before letting her go.
Jayne gave Holly a hug, knowing she was the other person who knew exactly how she felt right now. "Take care of him and tell him I love him."
Holly hugged her back. "He already knows it but I will. You two take care of each other."
"We will." JJ told them.
Robert and Holly went and got a few things together to go then headed to the airport.
Jayne sat down on the couch, feeling so lost. "I really wish we had insisted he come with us."
"Would it have done any good? Is he not as stubborn as you can be?" JJ asked as he took a seat next to her. "Besides he wanted to protect his family. You heard your parents, he's gonna be okay."
Jayne nodded, she believed them and JJ. "I just want to see him."
"I know and you will soon. Let's get this place set up so he has somewhere to take it easy for a little while." JJ knew that keeping busy would help Jayne. He was sure once Robert and Holly were there they would have Barry call Jayne and let her know himself he was okay. He knew Jayne wouldn't rest until then.
