Robert had decided to work the rest of the day at home so he could help more with what was going on with Grant. JJ and him were in the kitchen talking.

"My contact told me that Gregory is still pulling the strings, or at least it looks like he is. The man's in jail but still has power." JJ was frustrated. He remembered his dad telling him stories about this town but also making it clear it had become a shell of its former self. Robert was working hard to restore it, and he appreciated that, just like he knew his dad would have.

"A lot in this town isn't very fair. That's why I'm doing my best to get it back on track." Robert told him. "Thank you for the help. I bet your father was very proud of the man you are."

JJ nodded. "He was. I had my ups and downs, but I like to think I have a lot of him and Gran in me."

"You do." Robert told him as he took a drink.

"Robert, there's something I want to ask you, and this may not come into play until later, but I still want to ask." JJ worked up the nerve.

"Anything." Robert was curious to know what he had to say.

"Before Jayne and I split up before I was very serious about wanting a life with her, I still want that life. Every day, I wake up and know she's back in my life has been a gift." JJ felt he was rambling a bit, but he was nervous. "Robert, I love her, I love her more than life itself. When I lost my dad and she came there to be there for Gran and me...she's incredible."

"You don't have to tell me that. She has a lot of her mother in her." Robert smiled proudly, speaking o his recently discovered daughter. "I think you two are very good for each other."

"So do I...and when the time comes I want to ask her to marry me." JJ told him.

Robert smiled, Joe Kelly's son would talk to him before asking her. "And if she says yes, I would be proud to have you as my son-in-law."

The Living Room

"I probably should get home soon. Thank you so much for helping distract me today, all of you." Celia smiled as she gave Seana a hug.

"You're family. You know you always have us to lean on." Holly gave Celia a hug next. "Do you want me to drive you home?"

"Would you? It would be nice to have a little more time with you, and I think Sasha would love to see you too." Celia felt stronger with Holly around. She always had.

"Of course." Holly grabbed her keys. "Will you let your dad know I'll be back soon."

"Yes, I will." Jayne smiled as she picked up Seana.
