Chapter Two: The Enhanced.
Clint primed his bow, took aim and then let the arrow soar. The man then hid back behind the tree, waiting to hear the sound of an explosion.
But there was none.
Confused, he got out from his cover and fired another arrow, this time watching as it travelled forward-
Only for a blur of grey and blue to knock it away before disappearing. 'A speedster' the archer realised, taking out another arrow to use on the speed wizard the next time he decided to run past him.
THOOM
A bolt of blue struck him in the side, burning through layers of protective armour and clothing as well as skin, digging into the muscle. With a cry Hawkeye fell to the ground, holding his wound.
He forgot about the Automated turret, he got distracted. Through strained eyes, he looked up to see a young man with grey hair smirk down at him. He seemed to be wearing an altered tracksuit. "What, you didn't see that coming?" The man joked before giving Clint a wink as he ran off.
Hearing the cry, Natasha instantly stopped what she was doing and ran to check on her best friend.
Elsewhere, Steve knocked a Hydra soldier aside with ease before finding himself flipping through the air after being struck by something fast. As he landed, he noticed the slowly degrading speed trail that was left behind. "We have an Enhanced in the field, specifically, a speedster."
Barry almost fell as he heard those words, an intense anger rushing through him. A speedster was hurting his friends? Not on his watch. Whoever it was would regret doing that.
With an angry yell, he flung a bolt of lightning at the nearest mech, satisfied at the explosion of electricity and metal parts, he then flashed off to go confront the new speedster. His golden lightning arching off with a mix of blue and red, something wasn't right...
"Clint is hit, its pretty bad guys. He needs medical ASAP." Natasha reported, crouched over her partner as she eyed her surroundings. Nobody was getting through her to hurt Clint.

"Stark, we need to get into the base. Now." Steve told him.
"Im closing in. Hold on!" Tony replied, firing a missile directly through the side of a large boulder.
It buried through layers of rock, steel and brick before colliding with the Energy shield power source, detonating upon impact. "And open sesame!" Iron man chuckled, launching some miniature missiles at the remaining cannons and turrets that were now no longer protected by the shield.

"The Enhanced, you've seen him?" Thor asked Steve as they killed a group of Hydra goons together.
"His powers are similar to Barry, except no lightning. I haven't seen a speedster before with no electricity." Steve replied, punching a nearby Hydra soldier who had tried to attack him.
"Hmm, talk with the star scientists, They may have answers. I will get Barton to the Jet." Thor told him before flying off to find Clint and Natasha. "Find that sceptre!" he added.
"And for goodness sake, watch your language!" Tony said over the comms.
Steve sighed. "That's not going away anytime soon." He muttered before continuing his run to the Hydra Base entrance.
Tony, meanwhile broke through some walls and flew directly into the control centre of the fortress. Multiple Hydra guards opened fire with their rifles, only for the ammunition to bounce off of Iron man's armour.
"Guys, come on. We can talk about this..." he offered them.
When they swore at him in return he launched his shoulder darts, nailing them to the place they were. "Good talk..." he drawled sarcastically.
"No it wasnt." One of them moaned in return.
The armoured avenger then walked down the stairs and knocked out Strucker's advisor with a single repulsor blast.
"Thank you for leaving your toys so carefully out." He muttered sarcastically, exiting his armour so as to get closer and examine the many devices that were in the room.
After plugging his device into the main servers so Cisco and Jarvis could begin hacking away at the information, Tony took one more patrol of the room.
The genius then hummed, narrowing his eyes. This lab was too small... and Loki's sceptre was nowhere in sight. "J mind doing me a favour, IR scan of the room please?"
The Iron Man suit made a pinging sound before Jarvis voice came out of the speakers. "The wall to your left, I'm detecting steel reinforcement and an air current."
Tony grinned, walking up to said wall and pushing lightly against it. "Secret door in three, two andddd one."
Like clockwork, the door opened the second the word 'one' exited his mouth. Pumping the air, Tony walked down the set of stairs to further explore the facility.

Strucker hurried through the halls of his fortress, he needed to reach his personal escape vehicle. That way he could live to fight another day and continue his research away from the spotlight.
As he turned the corner, a flash of red white and blue crossed his vision before he found himself on the floor, nose fractured and monocle shattered.
"Baron Strucker...Hydra's number one thug." Steve Rogers, Captain America smirked.
"Technically, I am a thug for shield." Strucker replied, wanted to get under the captain's skin.
It didnt work.
"Then Technically, you're unemployed." Steve retorted.
"Don't worry, I know when I'm Beat." Strucker pretend sighed. Noticing something behind Steve that the avenger hadn't. "I assume you'll tell them how I cooperated with you, yes?"
"Sure, I'll add it to the long list of things you've done alongside illegal human experimentation." Steve glared, really not liking Strucker. He reminded him of the Red skull. Before he could say anything else, a red ball of crimson energy hit him in the ribs, sending him flying down the stairs.
A woman walked up to the stairway and stared down at him, waving with a smile before disappearing.
Groaning, Steve got up. "There is a second Enhanced, Female. Do not engage." He warned his team before making the short trek upstairs to apprehend Strucker.

Barry collided with the new speedster, punching him in the face before doing a roundhouse kick to the man's stomach.
Pietro Maximoff fell to the ground, holding his stomach while laughing. "The Flash... you know, I used to look up to you, Then you joined the murderer Tony Stark and his band of merry men."
Barry glared down at the speedster. "Stay down. I don't want to hurt you, so do us both a favour and come quietly." The teenager told him in return, holding up his hand while vibrating it threateningly.
Pietro shook his head. "No can do, Stark must be put down... then we'll stop, I'm sorry by the way." He apologised.
Barry blinked. "what for?"
A powerful blast of crimson sent Barry through multiple trees, till eventually he stopped against the side of a broken Hydra tank. "Oh, the second Enhanced." Flash muttered, knowing his right arm was broken and left leg was fractured.
Forcing himself to stand, Barry vibrated on the spot, healing his leg much quicker than his arm. The speedster then flashed forwards, aiming to knock the brunette girl out with a punch to her head.
His fist hit a wall of pure crimson, breaking his other arm and forcing him to the ground, again.
The woman walked over and stood over him, looking down at him sadly. "We know you at least are a good man. You saved the earth twice and killed the monster Zoom. But Tony Stark must die...I'm sorry." She told him softy.
Barry went to reply, only for the grey haired speedster to knock him out.
