Chapter 2: ENIES LOBBY!

Enies Lobby stood as a formidable fortress, a grand architectural marvel that loomed over the horizon. Its imposing towers and intricate designs made it a sight to behold, yet it was a place drenched in dread. For pirates, it represented the last line of defence before they faced the unyielding forces at Marineford or the notorious depths of Impel Down.

Amidst this tension, Nico Robin found herself aboard a train filled with Marines, each casting venomous glances in her direction. She could feel their disdain seeping through the heavy and suffocating air, as they regarded her not for her intellect or strength but as a mere enemy, a symbol of the threat they were sworn to eliminate. With every rattle of the train, she sat in silence, lost in her thoughts, fully aware that her journey toward Marineford was fraught with peril.

In a distant train car, Nico Robin listened to her crewmate Usopp's faint chatter. His voice rose in frustration as he confronted a burly thief who had not only stolen from the Straw Hat crew but had also beaten him up.

Tension filled the air as Usopp's anger simmered under the dim light that flickered overhead. Robin, overhearing, pondered her next move and the encounter's implications. Waves splashed against the train windows as she reflected on her death; at last, she could escape the relentless pursuit of Marines seeking her for her ability to read ancient texts.

In the vacant town of Water 7, the sound of sandals was notable as Luffy navigated the empty streets. His signature Straw Hat, held in place by a string around his neck, swayed with his movement. Luffy displayed a wide grin, emphasizing his excitement as he tightly gripped a gumball, demonstrating his concern that it might slip away if not securely held.

He had managed to reunite with the rest of his separated crew.

Zoro was currently dealing with some stragglers who still believed that the Straw Hat crew had nearly killed Icepops.

Nami was making her way toward the depot, skillfully navigating over the puddles in the street, still experiencing a slight hiccup from her recent Devil Fruit power.

Luffy still didn't know where Usopp was, but he hoped that his sniper would return when he needed him.

He couldn't find Sanji either; his cook had seemed to vanish when the marines took Robin.

Chopper was hunched over a bleeding citizen of Water 7, helping them while still wearing his brother's coat with pride. Luffy knew that when Ben returned, he would definitely be proud of Chopper, who had grown since his apparent 'death' Luffy just hoped that Paradox was correct in what he said to Luffy...

"Ughhh!" Luffy groans, rubbing the side of his head. Thinking too hard has always hurt his brain, possibly due to Gramps' training or his consumption of his Devil Fruit. He calls it "brain pain" when he overthinks.

As long as Luffy can punch whoever took Robin from his crew, he'll be happy and full of food. But then he thinks again about the Merry and how she won't sail again, realizing that no matter what, the Merry's journey will end here at Water 7.

Roiling waves surged and crashed violently over the lone ship, the Going Merry, as it bobbed precariously in the heart of the raging storm. The tumultuous seas threatened to swallow the small caravel whole, but even in this chaos, the resilient vessel held her ground, a testament to the adventures she had braved during her journey across the vast East Blue.

Throughout her voyage, the Going Merry had proven remarkably enduring, weathering fierce tempests and fierce battles alike. Yet, she harboured one final secret, one last surprise that awaited the moment they would be reunited. This revelation could only surface when they stood together once more, unified as a single crew beneath the unwavering banner of their captain.

That banner, a vibrant symbol of rebirth and change, fluttered defiantly in the stormy winds... the Straw Hat Flag!

"It's time. Time to go..." a voice said from the deck of the Going Merry. She recognized this voice, and as she appeared one last time in her spirit form, she nodded, knowing that this would be the last time she would see him. She would carry him with her no matter what. With that, she unfurled her sails and drifted off toward her final journey, her last hurrah.

Standing on the deck of the ship, a calmer man held his arm up to shield his face from the spray of water. He was a man who, after surviving what everyone called his end, had returned to confront an old foe and turn the tide of a brewing war.

"I've returned, everyone! Just you wait, my dream is...!" The man proclaimed with fervour, his voice bursting with enthusiasm as he stood at the ship's bow, the salty breeze whipping through his hair. He clenched his fists tightly, determination radiating from him, but just as he was about to reveal his grand vision, the roar of an enormous wave crashed against the vessel, drowning out his final words.

In that split second, as the towering wall of water loomed ominously overhead, a brilliant flash of green erupted from the depths below, casting an eerie glow upon the tumultuous sea.

With a dramatic sweep of his hands, he unleashed a powerful force, sending the wave hurtling back with stunning ferocity. The ship trembled beneath him, but his resolve only grew stronger as he harnessed the energy swirling around them, ready to confront whatever lay ahead.
