LENOX:

I'm just walking out of surgery when my phone starts to ring.

"Dr. McCarty" I say

"Hello the is Dr. Gerandy from Forks Hospital. I meet you at the medical conference last year." He says.

"Oh yes. I remember you! How can I help you today?" I've been surgery for a couple of hours and I'm ready to sit down and eat. I hate to come off rude but I don't have time for long drawn out conservations right now.

"I was calling to see if I could get you to fly up to help out with a case. The mother is 22 weeks pregnant and is having some major complications. Its a lot to go over with over the phone. Is there any way you can fly up?" As he is finshing that sentance I pull my calendar up on my phone. I dont have anything schudele for the next month and the hospital will be fine without.

"I can fly out on the next available flight."

"Thank you so much! I can pick you up from the airport."

"That wont be necessary but thank you though. Can you email me her file, so I can look it over on the flight?"

"I will send it as soon as we hang up. See you soon Dr. McCarty."

SAM:

I just pulled up at the Blacks resident for our weekly "family" meal. I'm the last one to arrive and I will be the first one to leave. I love the pack and the imprints as family but its hard to be on the only single one out of the pack. Everyone has imprinted and started a family but me. Everyone tells me I should date but I cant run the risk of falling in love then imprinting on someone later on in life. I know deep that down that I will probably not imprint but I don't want to run the risk of that.

"How can you always be late when you don't have any kids?" Paul ask. Rachel slaps him in the back of the head and glares at him.

"Where's Jake?" I ask.

"He went to check on Bella. She wasn't felling good so she went to lay down. The specialist will be here tomorrow for her." Seth her brother in law says. Bella has been having major complications with this pregnancy. They have had so many miscarriages in the past and now this is going on. We all pitch in to help them out as much as possible. I go to their bedroom and knock on the door.

"Come in" Jake says

"Hey Bells! How you feeling?" I ask

"I'm okay just really tired. The specialist arrives tonight and we have an appointment at 8 in the morning. I'm really hoping and praying that everything goes okay."

"If you need anything let me know. Even if it means kicking his ass for making you cry!" That got her laughing.

"Thank you Sam!" I nod my head at her and walk out the room. As soon as I'm back in the living room I help get everything setup for supper. Once everything is all setup and ready I walk over to Kim to grab my new niece from her so she can eat in peace. Avery was born only 3 weeks ago and I know she has been struggling lately. After supper I help clean up and then I say my good byes to head on home. I get home a few minutes later. I walk out to the woods to phase to run a patrol around the res. I'm the last wolf left out of this pack which makes sense a little. I was the first wolf to phase and I'm the last wolf remaining. We haven't had a vampire around here in 7 years now but I still like to phase. It helps me clear my head and it bets setting at home all alone. I don't stay phased in for long tonight. I have a early parent teacher conference in the morning and then we all will be heading over to Jakes to wait on the news.

LENOX:

I just got checked into my room for the night in Port Angles. I took a month off from the hospital to be able to help the hospital in Forks with Mrs. Black. I keep on checking my email as I waiting on my flight but it never came through. As I'm putting my stuff down in my room, my phone dings letting me know I have a new email. I pull up the email and click on the attachment. I immediately notice a few things that is very serious.

"Dr. Gernady this is Dr. McCarty. I just got the files you sent over. Are you at the hospital now?"

"Oh hello Dr. McCarty. Yes I am still here."

"Can you get a bed ready for Mrs. Black? I will explain when I get there. Also get her hooked up to fetal monitors."

"Yes I can."

"Thank you." I hang up the phone and look at files to get Mrs. Black's number. I immediately call her and it rings a few times before I get an answer.

"Hello" a sleepy male says

"Hello this is Dr. McCarty. I'm sorry to call so late but I just received your wifes medical file and she needs to head to the hospital immediately. Try to keep her calm as possible. I'm leaving my hotel in Port Angles and should be there within in the hour."

"Okay. What's wrong?"

"I will explain when I get there. Please hurry and be careful." I hang up and start grabbing my stuff. I head down to the front desk and hand back my key. I explain very briefly that I have an emergency I have to tend to. I throw my stuff into the rental and begin making the drive to Forks. I cut on my hazard lights to be able to make it faster.
