T34: The Sheriff Interrogates.
"Would you put the gun down now, please?!" Monica said as she and Bill entered inside the room.
Sheriff Scar placed his gun back in it's holster.
"Monica, what is going on?" Lulu asked as she, Dustin, Olivia, Ned, Sky and Tracy ran into the room.
"Yeah, we heard screaming. What's going on up here?" Dustin said.
"That's good work, Sheriff. You managed to scare the witts out of two women. Obviously they are a threat to society. I'm sure you'll give yourself a letter of commendation." Bill said.
"Where's my stepson, Will?" Sheriff Scar demanded.
"I don't know." Alice said.
"Is this about my brother, Leo, and his two cousins running away? Did you find out where they are?" Brooklyn asked.
"Yeah, and why would you point a gun at us?" Alice added.
"The Sheriff thinks that Rocco lied to him yesterday about not having seen Will and that he, Cameron and Leo have been hiding him here in the house or on the property." Monica explained.
"What?" Brooklyn asked.
"Rocco would never lie to the police." Lulu said. What on Earth was this sheriff on? Rocco would never lie to anyone, let alone a member of law enforcement.
"I saw it in his eyes, Miss Lulu." Sheriff Scar said.
"Well, you must've saw wrong." Dustin said.
"I didn't see wrong." Sheriff Scar said.
"You don't know what you're talking about." Alice said.
"I know you know the consequinces of lying to the police, Alice. And if your son and his cousins were hiding my stepson and they're on the run with him, the longer they stay on the run, the worse it's gonna be for everybody. So...i'm gonna ask you...a simple question. And i want you to think long and hard before you answer. Where can i find Will?" Sheriff Scar said.
"Alice, just answer the man's question, please?" Monica said.
"She doesn't have to tell him anything." Bill said.
"No. I don't know where your stepson, Will, is." Alice said.
"Okay, Alice. I'm checking out the rest of the house and it's property." Sheriff Scar said.
"No, Sheriff." Bill said.
"I'm sorry, do you own this house?" Sheriff Scar asked.
"No. But i do. And if you pull a gun on anyone else in my family, i'm not gonna be too happy." Monica said.
"Okay then. Good day." Sheriff Scar said.
"Wish i could say the same to you." Bill said.
Sheriff Scar then turned and left out of the room to head back downstairs, exit the house, get in his car and leave the property.
"Okay, everybody out. I need to talk with Alice and Brooklyn." Monica said.
Bill, Lulu, Dustin, Olivia, Ned, Sky and Tracy all exited the room, with Tracy closing the door.
"Okay, i wanna know. Do either of you know where Will and the boys are?" Monica said.
"Weren't you just listening to that?" Alice asked.
"We don't know where they are, Monica." Brooklyn said.
"Okay. Well, if either of them do get in touch with you, will you let us know?" Monica said.
"Yes, of course." Alice said.
"No...i won't." Brooklyn said.
"What?" Alice asked.
"I understand you want to protect the boys...but if they don't come forward, it's gonna make things worse for everybody." Monica said.
"What the boys do at this point isn't up to you or me or this family. Okay? It's up to them." Brooklyn said before she turned away from Monica and walked off.
"Brooklyn...i think we need to know the whole story here. Okay? And then we'll all decide what is best for the boys." Monica said before she turned and walked over to the door, opened it and left out of the room, followed by closing the door.
Alice walked up to Brooklyn and shoved her right hand. "What was that?"
"What?" Brooklyn asked.
"What was that? What is wrong with you? My son and nephew and your brother are missing and when Monica asks us if we'll let her and the family know if either of the boys contact us, you say "No, i won't". What are Earth are you doing?" Alice said.
"I just told Monica the truth. She asked if we would let her and the family know if either of the boys contact us and i said no on my end. I couldn't say yes because i know they're not gonna contact you or me. That defeats the whole purpose of them running away." Brooklyn said. She hoped she was convincing enough. More than anything, she wanted to tell the whole family she had heard from Leo by text and where he and the other boys were headed, but she remembered him asking her not to tell anyone and she was going to keep her promise, no matter what.
"Oh, yeah." Alice said.
