T40: Shelter.
That same night in the forest, Cameron, Rocco, Leo, Will, Mickey, Todd, the squirrel and the raccoon stood in front of a small round cave, with the coon standing in front of them, and Will held his lit flashlight in his right hand. After following the coon through the woods for several hours, the gang had finally found a place to rest until morning, thanks to the coon leading them here. Hard as that was to believe.
"Nice, right?" Will said.
"Uh...yeah, it'll work." Cameron answered.
"Work?" Will said, looking at Cameron. "Dude, back in the times before the future age we're in now, thesetypes of places were home to a lot of people. I'm talkin' cave-people in the stone age, vikings from the late 8th century to the 11th century, barbarians in the medieval times. Trust me, you guys, this is where home started out for the human race."
"If you say so." Rocco said.
"Word." Leo added.
"You don't like it? We can find some other cave, if you want." Will said.
"No, you know what, it's fine." Rocco said, looking at Will. "We found shelter and that's all that matters, right?"
"That's right. And the reason i think the racoon led us to this cave because it's out here in the wilderness...away from civilization. Once morning comes, we'll get up and resume heading for the mountains. We'll just keep going until we get there." Will said.
"Does it really matter that we've never lived in a cave our entire life?" Cameron asked.
"Nope. But it's just for one night. And we'll learn quick." Will said.
"Well, sure, because i've been camping with my Dad a few times. As well as the fact that i've been to summer camps, so i should be fine." Cameron said.
"Listen...look...it's just 'til tomorrow, okay? We'll spend the night here...and...if any rangers spot us, we'll just take off." Will said.
"I really can't think about that right now." Cameron said.
"Okay, then don't." Will said.
"Yeah. So i guess all we really need is a campfire, probably?" Leo added.
"Well, then let's get to it." Will said.
